midnight, wound, and hunt for falin?

Falin ask!!!! Finally a Falin ask!!!!! YES!!!! That being said this will be very long! Sorry in advance but he wasn’t sorry at all

midnight: What keeps your OC up at night? Do they have nightmares? Fears? Anxieties? What do they do in the small hours of the morning when they should be sleeping?

Mostly insomnia and overworking himself, he developed bad habits in his university days that stayed far into his late twenties. Sometimes he’s also kept up plagued by worries of getting left behind constantly looking at the space in the bed beside him to make sure he’s still there that he hasn’t left Falin that he’s still loved.

What you can find him mostly doing during the early morning is writing notes trying to put together treatment plans of his clients pulling his hair out during to figure out what variable just isn’t clicking….please force this man to sleep he’s going to die of either insomnia or a caffeine overdose.

hunt: Who or what is your OC hunted by? A person, a feeling, a past mistake? Is your OC able to let their guard down, or are they constantly alert?

Pre canon? Mostly by personal anxieties the fear of being left behind, the fear of people finding out the truth of his gender, the feelings of self doubt and a fear of not being recognized the same as the peers in his field. He’s semi guarded pre canon sure he’s nice and sociable but it takes quite a while to get him to speak on a deeply personal level with someone.

Now during canon he’s actively dodging murder attempts from a certain architect plus the plague plus the muggers…okay so a lot of things want the psychologist dead! Very dead! So during canon he’s always looking behind his shoulder rightfully terrified a new threat is looking to send him back to the grave he was born from. He becomes very guarded refusing to really tell anyone about all the stress slowly breaking away at his psyche, this leads to him having a complete breakdown where on day 9 in any healers route one can find him in Lara’s house pacing around losing his mind. Falin will refuse to talk with the player until far later in the day and even then he tries to downplay the whole affair.

wound: How does your OC handle being wounded? Are their wounds mostly physical? Mental? Emotional? What's the worst wound your OC has ever experienced?

Probably mostly emotional and mental wounds? Genuinely I have no clue what the worst wound would be? Probably some kind of childhood trauma? But since most of Falin’s trauma would be based off of my own I don’t wanna share that shit online for the obvious reasoning….so uh I can’t really answer this one all that well without exposing the absolute nightmare of my own existence uhhh….Sorry! I guess to keep it vague it’d probably be something related to abandonment or parental abuse to keep it vague. I know it’s barebones I’m sorry! But this isn’t my therapist office so we aren’t getting into that!

So: a plot of a fanfiction I haven't written but I daydream about? Well, I'm not sure if this counts, because I technically have an outline, but here we go!

Essentially, the summary of this fic is that, after a mission gone wrong, Bond and Q end up stranded on a deserted island and have to survive.

They already have feelings for one another before this happens (maybe they've even been intimate at one point in the past, but are trying to be professional about it, idk I haven't figured that part out yet xD) but this situation makes them realise the depth of those feelings.

The island scenes that I have in my head really focus on their shared vulnerability in this scenario, and the subsequent tearing down of their emotional walls as they come to understand what they mean to one another. They face all kinds of very physical external conflicts/hardships: dehydration, starvation, exposure; they almost lose one another to illness and injury. Through these trials, they realise what they mean to one another and learn the lengths that they will go to keep the other by their side. It creates this very deep emotional intimacy between them, and after a time, they don't even need to use words. They just know each other that well.

And then...they are rescued.

This leads to the second part of the story, where they have to try to readjust to normal life back in London, returning to Six, etc. The psychologists who observe them insist that the two of them have a dangerous form of codependency from their trauma and that it's not healthy to continue. But Bond and Q don't want to give it up--this incredibly deep level of trust and love--and so this part is about their persistence to hold onto what they had on the island while also acclimating back to their old lives.

I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to writing it, because it's a lot, but it's always fun to think about this one from time to time :)

That's hard, because I love so many books! Since I can't specify certain books have my favorite authors instead😅: Stephen King (for obvious reasons), John Katzenbach (he writes great thrillers), Lydia Benecke (is a forensic psychologist and writes books about her job) 

🎧 — do you write while listening to music/podcasts/videos/etc, or do you need total silence?

That depends on my mood and my level of concentration. When my concentration is low I need total silence but most times I'm listening to metal/rock music or have a movie playing in the background - or some Elvira clips on Youtube.

I never talk about falin since there’s not really any interest so I never find the motivation but I need everyone to know his character centers around a cycle of blood that ends in creation….please I need everyone to know this!

His miracle is to reanimate with his own blood! His blood is what gives life! He sacrifices his body’s resources to give life! He gives his blood to allow for a new beginning a rebirth of another’s life it’ll only take half his blood….all the strain…but it’s worth! That’s what everyone tells him! Don’t mind the pain! It’s worth it

Thinking about post game falin….hmmm

Stepping out of the shower it all felt….surrealist in nature. all the grime, the blood seeping off his body and swirled down the drain but it still just felt hollow….the pit in his stomach never having fully left. Falin looked at his reflection through rough motions in order to dry off his hair, he looked exhausted whatever light remained in dark brown eyes had been burned sucked into an endless abyss never to see return. It’d only been a day or so falin couldn’t recall how long come to think of it all time seemed to completely blur in order to dull the lingering effects that everything had brought upon.

Looking at his reflection he wondered had it really been days? Or had time blurred so much that mere hours felt like an endless time….it had to been only an hour since getting off the train right? Or maybe it wasn’t? Maybe his mind was just trying to make sense of it all after twelve days of utter disorder. He was a psychologist he understood how the brain could react to traumatic experiences but for once all he felt was utter confusion in the presence of psychological distress, he’d eaten so much he’d actually managed to get himself sick he hadn’t meant to it was just pure excitement at having food without needing to trade needles or having to sell organs for cash. Looking at his reflection he saw someone completely different altogether….he felt like one of his patients….maybe it was time to practice what he preached and take some bedrest….yeah rest that sounded like pure heaven….After utter hell

Thinking more about Falin’s blood and the ability to reanimate the dead….which leads to the question how did he find that out, because obviously this isn’t something that’s just base information stored in the brain like breathing this is information he had to discover naturally as he went through life.

And no matter scenario I think of for him to figure out that information it’s all fucking terrifying since someone needs to first die and then his blood has to spill upon them and it has to be at least half of the blood in his body to bring them back. I could logically go with he accidentally found a body once and felt a compulsion to bleed himself or go with a more hand wavy approach and just go eh he always knew! And it was just basic information like breathing I dunno

My favorite thing about writing how I think Falin’s route would be like is that he takes mood stabilizers to manage his bpd symptoms…but obviously considering the situation at hand he just doesn’t have access to them after the second day max since he didn’t plan on being there that long so he didn’t think he needed to take a big amount of his meds. After this his dialogue gets slowly more options to be mean more options to split on people, his thinking slowly becomes more black and white.

In the other healers routes his behavior also has an obvious shift and his dialogue can become far more snappy and he will say cruel things he doesn’t mean. Then halfway during the fifth day he just disappears completely and only if the other two adult healers are being played then you can find out the reason for his sudden disappearance is he’s on his period and is isolating as he fears his immune system gets weaker during his cycle totally not biased off of me. So not only does he have to deal with a lack of mood stabilizers he also has to on top of that deal with his period all this during a god damn plague and somehow he doesn’t do much more except occasionally yell at others

Going insane thinking about a possible route ending for falin….in Classic. Thinking his ending would be him faling to figure out a cure to the plague since he’s not a doctor he’s a psychologist and deciding to destroy the town as not to of risk the pest possibly spreading to other places

His final dialogue choices would be these I think

“You act as if you couldn’t have prevented this outcome!” And “…..I’m sorry”
