Every April London, Ontario experiences a huge outflux of students as they finish their semesters and head home for the summer break. This always leads to literally TONS of perfectly usable items being trashed when they could otherwise be donated. Living next door to a property where this was a particularly glaring issue, I simply couldn't stand by without acting. Thus over the last 5 years I have found ways to progressively save more and more of these perfectly usable items by bringing them to the thrift store. This year I was successful in bringing 27 loads of reusable items from the students waste straight to charity. Here's hoping I'm even more successful with these waste diversion efforts in future years!

okay I think for pride month this year we all need to make a community effort to make more lesbian posts, because year after year every single time I check the lesbian tag, whether it's trending or not, it's 70 to 80 percent full of porn accounts, and not the type of porn accounts that are run by queer people for other queer people. my sexuality is not your fucking porn category

actually love that Beth Smith is an alcoholic in Rick and Morty. when people say "picture an alcoholic" you'd think of perhaps someone like Rick - an old, mean, bitter man. i think it's harder for people who are "too young" and/or not male to be taken seriously when they struggle with alcoholism specifically. there's no age limit or gender for addiction.
