I wrote this epilogue type of one shot for Illiamer and Minthara a while ago and now finally posted it! I hope everyone enjoys to meet them again

ok this comes in a set of four, actually.

The first is the High Priestess featuring Lady Helie Foncee, the countess of Fallay that fell prey to the rotten curse of an eldritch, timewarped god, Yal'Thaar. With her, the old Church of the Bloodmother fell, too.

Then we have the Empress, Gaelle Sgadoix, another countess that tried to keep the Church of the Bloodmother alive, but was also the core corruption of it.

We have two Emperors, one was the original first tarot card I created and belongs to one of the first quest givers, the players met: Lady Lucille Fuilenoir, a countess that decided to start the entire rebellion in Gilliarda and set the campaign in motion. And one of the player characters, Calahan Victus de Sang, an oath of conquest paladin and Lucille's biggest simp. He got kind of corrupted throughout the campaign. I guess that's an oath of conquest kinda thing.

A reality of pre-canon Minthara is that she’d have killed you without hesitation if Lolth ordered it, even if she loves you. It’s easy to forget she did not leave the Drow society willingly, she did not give up her place in the hierarchy because rebellion, she was every bit the Generic Royal Drow female of your Drow rebels nightmares, except it was her actual job to hunt your Drow rebel for defying society and Lolth most of all.

Rwby AU Demons x Heroes Info-dump

Succubus!Ruby: Ruby is a Semi-high tier Succubus who freely roams the lands in search of mortal to feed off of. Whether it be through sexual contact or just feasting on their blood. Now in her early lifes, she'd go all out with killing dozens until she met Jaune, who has now became her one and only. Those meaning one place for a quick meal and only she can have him. She's a bit of a jealous lil demon.

Later in the story though, she does gets more accustomed with the Cathedral and Jaune's friends, aka; by infiltrating it and dawning the alias; Reaper Ruby!

Paladin Jaune: Jaune is a skilled yet still-in-training paladin for the Cathedral him and his team reside in. They aren't stationary as they all take up jobs and tasks to help keep the people in the village safe. He was one tasked with trying to figure out what happened to a neighboring village which led to his encounter to a blood lusted Ruby.

They had a bit of a fight with Ruby being amazed at Jaune's skills and endurance to keep fighting so she let him live...and now stalks him.

Very, very closely.

Champion Pyrrha: The name says it all, she has the fame in canon and fame in here. She is well known for her many feats such as; Killing a dozen demons at a time with ease, defending their home village from invaders all shapes and sizes, winning many spear throwing competitions, and most importantly to their friend group...

Having a massive crush on Jaune....who fails to realize some things.

Monk Ren: Him and Nora we're traveling partners up until they met Pyrrha and Jaune when they traveled to the village and decided to stay there. Despite their ups and down, Ren was always the level-headed of the two and was the only one to keep the short tempered (and short in general) Nora down.

Dwarf Nora: Nora was traveling with Ren after she was abandoned and left dead by some 'friends' she trusted. It took a while for her to warm up to Ren, and longer for Jaune and Pyrrha. But once you're on her good side, she'll make sure you AND her come out unscathed. Wielding a hammer passed down her bloodline and unnatural strength, she's that short fuse force you do not want to mess with.

Priestess Glynda: A powerful cleric in her time, she rose through the ranks to become the leader and sworn protector of the Cathedral and the town that it resides in. Of course, with help from the others heroes as well. Not much is known of her true powers and past, but it may come to light after she met a certain in disguise demoness with the same last name of her mother...

I've been thinking a lot about magic healing today.

Like I can't stop thinking about how much truly incredible medical knowledge (specifically what we now think of as folk medicine, or like... battlefield surgery) is rendered pretty much completely obsolete by the existence of people who can mend bones with a thought. About how rare it must be for someone to actually know about how a body functions, when among most adventuring types, there's... actually little practical use for such knowledge, with little motivation beyond curiosity to figure it out.

Like of course, I'm sure there are many settings in which those with magical talent are few and far between. I'm sure there are low-magic settings where having access to magical healing is rare, and/or comes at a prohibitively high price for most commoners. But I can't help but think that... in worlds where healing spells and broad-spectrum healing potions are found in the stock of pretty much every merchant and every thug's inventory, ready to be looted, the work of midwives, village wise-women, herbalists, field medics, surgeons, and a thousand other professions is made pretty much completely irrelevant to so many people, simply because clerics, paladins, druids and such, are able to just.... wave a hand, and eradicate diseases, mend bones, transfuse blood, restore limbs, and sometimes even raise the dead.

Being medically knowledgeable on top of being magically adept would probably not only be rare as hell (hello, Halsin), it'd also take a lot of dedication, and a lot of respect for the body and the natural way of things that... I don't know how many even among the best magical healers would actually have.

I'd imagine that many who usually have steady access to a healer don't actually know jack shit about their own health, and... maybe even those who rely on magic to heal, don't actually know what they're doing all that often.

Idk. I'm just rotating this thought in my head today.

The way I snort cackled reading this when I realized who Sister Micheal was!!! Please she canonically says 'O'Lolth Preserve me' which is entirely the same as the tired performance of the sign of the cross when you're fed up with the shit of the day and the annoyed eye roll of the infamous Sister MIcheal. You're not wrong Anon! Thank you for this mental image.

Athena Dekarios née Asteriadis

Parents

Father: Amicus Asteriadis

Human artist and craftsman who was unpredictable in his violent tendencies and preference for sticking to himself. He moved to Baldur´s Gate as a young man once he found out his love - Athena´s mother - was planning on running away to the city.

Mother: Keylana Alastrarra

High-born Elf from the noble house of Alastrarra in Cormanthyr. She fell in love with Amicus, while he was performing in the city. Her parents disapproved, so she ran away to Baldur´s Gate in the hopes of a future with him. She became a merchant, but quickly let herself become corrupted. Knowing no responsibility, erratic behavior grew and she ended up taking lovers. Having grown up with money - which she no longer had - she was in the habit of spending too much; leading to terrible conflicts with her husband. (Who was a mere craftsman and very thrifty.)

Birth

Athena was the firstborn and came 8 years before her brother. Her birth was easy, unlike the pregnancy which had been heavy with nausea. She knew her mother had sung to her as a baby and toddler, even having gone so far as to invent her own lullaby for her, but later on their bond became severed and Athena was incapable of forming a bond with her mother. Her father was the one always there for her, despite his violent behavior and emotional abuse towards her. The abuse she had to suffer built the foundation for her strong personality later on, making it difficult for her to trust others.

First word

Plain old "Dada" followed by "bread".

When they first walked

Once Athena started walking at the age of 11 months, nothing was safe. She was particularly interested in books - but not necessarily in looking at them, but rather to use them as countertop for her baking experiments. She was scolded more than once for playing with flour on a green covered book, which she later found out was a book about plants and their different uses.

Tantrum

Athena would never forget that one tantrum she threw as a toddler, where she was on a flea market and saw a mountain lion plush toy. She wanted it so badly that she cried bitter tears, begged and threw herself to the ground. It was the same day she had been too trusting when faced with a big dog, who nearly bit her hand off. To her astonishment, she got the Mountain Lion plush toy. (And still feels bad for having acted out as a toddler.)

First sickness

Friends

Never really had friends, due to her mistrustful nature and difficulty in forming bonds. She was the awkward know-it-all who did her own thing. Later on Jaheira becomes her best friend.

Siblings

Has a younger brother - Evan - which she basically raised due to neglectful parents. They both know they are there for each other when necessary, but barely maintain contact. He owns a tavern in Waterdeep.

Getting into trouble

Despite her parents´ boasting about her to outsiders, she remains the black sheep of the family due to her reluctance in complying with her father´s demands and open hostility towards her mother´s behavior. She ran away often as a teen, once her parents had separated shortly after her brother´s birth.

Learning something new

As a Priestess of Lathander she is on a constant journey of self-improvement, which includes learning. May it be combat, medicine or a new spell - she is always gaining new knowledge.

Trauma

One of her mother´s lovers sexually harassed her,

and a boy from the neighborhood tried to assault her. (It didn´t end well for him, but it made her even more cautious.)

First love

She fell in love with Jidam - a classmate who had longer brown hair and striking blue eyes - when she was thirteen years old. He mistreated her and made her the laughingstock of their year, but her devotion never faltered. A girl she thought her friend ended up getting involved with him.

Rebellion

Moved out as a teen and sought refuge in Lathander´s Temple in Waterdeep where she became an Acolyte.

Reckless behavior

Athena never was one for recklessness. Her difficult childhood and devotion to Lathander gifted her with wisdom beyond her years.

Peer pressure

Athena was known for her defiance of the masses and did not cave to peer pressure. The only time she fell for peer pressure she ended up stealing something from a big shop around the corner. Feeling bad afterwards, she donated everything stolen; keeping only four books which made her difficult younger years bearable.

Growing pains

Growing pains plagued her during her teens - usually at night. She could feel it in her bones but never complained.

Taking responsibility

All the responsibility seemed to be on her shoulders from an early age on. First the mediator between parents, then the bodyguard of her mother when lovers turned too unpleasant, afterwards a mother to her brother.

Serious relationships

She only had one partner before Gale and was engaged to him.

Stephanus was a very analytical and stoic man, who had difficulties showing affection, lusted after other women and was an egoistical lover. He was averse to building a family, and Lathander was not pleased to see his Chosen in a union with such a man, leading to a conversation between the god and Athena. She eventually broke up.

Work

She used to serve Lathander in the Spires of the Morning. Later on she became a Paladin of Lathander, serving as a member of the Order of Aster.

Once she returns to Waterdeep with Gale, she becomes a Priestess of Lathander - she also teaches and practices midwifery in that function.

Aging

Due to her nature as a half-elf and being blessed by Lathander, as well as married to the Chosen of Mystra, who could prolong life, she could technically live forever.

Starting a family

Athena and Gale end up being the parents of three children - two boys and a girl.
