Prompt: Mafumizu dressing room fashion show // 538 words

Watching them twirl around, Mafuyu seems speechless. Not for a lack of attention or caring, but just in awe of Mizuki’s beauty. Effortlessly, their skirt lands upon their thighs and they smile gently towards Mafuyu, a slight blush appearing on their cheeks.

“So? Do you like it?” They question.

“Of course. It keeps you warm, doesn’t it?” Mafuyu replies.

“Yeah but… it’s a fashion show. The idea is to, y’know, look really good? Function is basically out of the question.” They smirk.

“You should’ve brought Ena if you wanted that kind of advice… you know I’m not into these kinds of things.” She replies, half heartedly.

“Oh come on, cheer up.” They say, placing a hand upon Mafuyu’s shoulder. “Just, does it look good or not?”

“You look good in anything you wear, Mizuki. I don’t understand how that’s a question.”

Mizuki seems bewildered by such an admission, and blushes profusely while laughing it off.

“Well, thank you. Now it’s time for you!” They exclaim.

Mizuki picks out a few outfits from the available selection, and holds them up to Mafuyu, picturing how she’ll look with them on. Mafuyu has just recently got her hair cut, and it hardly even reaches her shoulders, so things Mizuki already thinks will look good somehow look better than they could have imagined.

“Omg! Look at you.”

“I look like a doll.”

“I mean…that’s one way to put it, but you do look beautiful.”

Mafuyu adorns a white collared blouse, along with a black skirt and a cream, knit cardigan with navy blue accents. She wears black nylon tights and shiny black mary-janes. On her head are white fluffy earmuffs.

“I just… I don’t think it’s me.” She sighs.

“What don’t you like about it?” They question.

“Um… everything…”

“Ouch, that’s kinda harsh! And here I think myself a novice stylist. Let me try something else.” They remark.

Mafuyu dons a new outfit, this time a light pink knit sweater, light grey joggers, and white UGG boots. She also wears a light pink bow hair clip.

“Much more simple. You like?”

“This seems like something you would wear, Mizuki.” She seems annoyed in her tone.

“Agh!!! Come on now, really?!” They exclaim, flustered. “I have one last outfit, and now I’m nervous. Let’s hope for the best…?” Mizuki states, sheepishly.

Mafuyu, now wearing a cream dress with a cropped winter jacket on top, smiles softly. The faux fur is a bright white, and there’s even a touch of Mizuki with a navy and light blue bow. It’s a beautifully cohesive look, down to the white beanie with a pom pom on top of it. There’s no jewelry on any of these outfits, something Mizuki noted would likely make Mafuyu uncomfortable with how cold it gets. Mizuki just watches Mafuyu admire her new outfit in awe.

“I like this.”

“Really?! Have I cracked the code of the Asahina Mafuyu?” They question in jest.

“Hm, maybe.” She states, a slight blush coming over her.

“Y’know, with that much blush I think you’re really gonna sell it on the catwalk.” They giggle, blushing themself.

“W-what do you mean, your face is redder than mine…” Mafuyu stammers, as the two laugh and prepare for their appearance.

- yes the paint splatter is intentional but more in a way of ena got it on his hoodie by accident
