The Owl House S3 Countdown Day 9 - Wickedness

“I feel powerful! So powerful that I know I can do it now! I can bring Caleb back to life!”

This is actually based on a scene in one of the old W.i.t.c.h. comics when Cornelia decided to revive her boyfriend Caleb (hah!) and she had this completely deranged look on her face. It just fit to well. I had to replace the flower she was holding with something though...so a piece of Palistromwood it is (which looks kinda dorky)

Who’d have thought that there was a witch version of Dora the Explorer? One that grew up to work for an evil emperor? Yeah, neither did I.

I loved Luz little solo trip with cool aunt Lilith. No one throws a punch quite like her.

Remember when in Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 they had to turn the Homunculus of their dead mother into ethanol (that’s why this image has this green tint)? Good times. The lesson is : Don’t create something in the image of a dead person. The quote could work really well from the perspective of a Grimwalker who actually decided to betray Belos. “No, I really don’t wanna be your loving family. Count me out.” Although the last part also fits Belos when he decides to sabotage himself again and get rid of a perfectly good Grimwalker for asinine reasons.

For this years Inktober I’m doing the Owl House season 3 countdown. Who else is getting really excited? For the first prompt I picked something from the good old season 1 days, involving makeshift witch costumes and Luz dreaming about being a chosen one.

The Owl House S3 Countdown Day 6 - Your Coven(s)

If I absolutely had to pick a coven...I think I’d go with the Oracle coven. It’s so vague what some of these types of magic allow you to do, but the Oracle’s use of fancy, magic jewelry lured me in (I read W.i.t.c.h. as a kid I’m weak to this stuff). All in all Spirit summoning, energy beams and the whole make prophecies stuff seems like a pretty sweet deal to me.

I also have to admit the aesthetic of the Emperor’s coven is top notch. Who doesn’t love the plague doctor look? But you can’t become an incompetent henchman for an evil overlord just because you get to wear a plague doctor mask...or can you?
