what is it that makes booktok the most pretentious community while also largely lacking critical thinking skills
#em posts#booktok#i don’t understand it#it’s such a scary place#the obsession with problematic authors and wattpad level smut books#the overconsumption of tbrs and special additions#not to mention all the different kindles and the thousands of accessories for them all#and the need to read so many books that you’re not comprehending or even enjoying them#also it’s not classist to say that maybe you should read some of the classics#when the classics are readily available in most libraries and often cheaper due to their popularity#and this is not to say that i’m the best reader bcs im not#but maybe not everything you read needs to be all tropes and no plot#always rant over read whatever you want but booktok you will not be missed#p.s. you guys are always being racist too what’s up with that?
