things a new rp partner should know about me !
fun new meme here ! write 3-5 things a new rp partner (or those who want to be) should know about you and tag 3-5 people! it should be related to rp and not to other interests.

1.   my writing education is in poetry and screenwriting.   listen,   i tried and promptly swapped out of long form prose a long time ago;   to be honest,   i just do not have and never have had the patience / tolerance for long threads  ( say,   5 paragraphs plus ).   i very rarely write them and usually only with friends.   this is probably the number one thing i drop threads for tbh !
2.   i focus on action over introspection.   introspection is great for fanfiction and novels,   but i feel like it doesn’t have much of a place in RP.   a balanced amount is fine !   i obviously still write it,   but if your  whole reply  is just your character’s thoughts  …  that leaves nothing for me to reply to !   so i also drop for this fairly often.   honestly,   i drop threads pretty freely  -----  i swear it’s nothing personal,   i am just not in the business of ever forcing myself to write when i’m not feeling it for whatever reason.
3.   when i write starters,   i would rather do one-liners or very short starters,   or go from memes.   unless we’ve been writing a while and have obvious chemistry,   i’m not really big into heavy plotting ?   that way i don’t get too jaded if it goes unanswered.   i like having a brief idea for a thread going in,   but plotting the whole thing out seems silly to me bc then why write it ??   i do love plotting previous events and interactions tho  ( i.e. ones we don’t actually write,  but can reference ) !
4.   i prefer smaller,   contained scenes.   i follow ye old screenwriting mantra of   “ get in,  get out. ”   i don’t really care for a lot of set up and exposition beyond what’s necessary  ( see point #1 ha ha ).   i would much rather just start in medias res.   of course,   this also means i’m perfectly fine with a thread ending after just a few replies,   if the scene feels complete.   all the more fun to move on to the next !
5.   i tend to be very canon oriented.   i like to be as accurate in both voice and action as possible,   and i like to base my hcs in either canon information or period-appropriate historical information.   i do a lot of dumb research,   to the point that google ads now recommend me the weirdest shit.   i’m a self-admitted stickler on this and don’t really write AUs and i won’t ever write ferdinand in a situation / relationship / what-have-you that simply wouldn’t harmonize with his character.  i care he too much to change him for the sake of a thread !!!
