my mom was saying how high schoolers should have to read nathaniel hawthorne and other stuff that has ‘stood the test of time’ instead of the stuff we currently read (though what my class is reading rn is the perfect intersection between the old stuff i like & what modern teens are willing to read) and i said no they should work up to it bc most of them start out not able to understand the old stuff so my sister said ‘maybe if you were nicer to your peers youd have more friends’

#i dont have any best friends #i dont have an extracurricular that takes up all my time so i become friends with all the kids there like she does #how do you make friends #like seriously #in real life #the only excuse i’ve been able to rely on is gettin people’s numbers for notes but now they’re all online #and i dont have any social media but my parents wont let me #even though my sister has like three #language warning #and the only time ive been able to just hang out with people this year was the school dance and all state orch auditions #riv’s stuff #toxic siblings #like i was having a mental health crisis right before her marching band concert #but then by then end i was healed bc i love the band so much and they’re soo good #but now im breaking down again #friendship
