I'm so used to anime being 90% gay coding or subtext and probably 5% intentional queerbaiting that I get like overwhelmed when a show has a character who is directly identified as gay in the text. Especially if they're not a one-off side character or a villain. I recognize that the bar is on the ground but you have to understand that I'm simply not expecting confirmation of anything.

It's like getting used to the thin air in high altitudes and getting dizzy from a lungful of good ol ground level comparatively-high-O2 air. Like listening to faint whispers on a sensitive mic turned up to full volume and someone comes by and shouts at the mic with a megaphone. I really appreciate not needing the binoculars but i was still wearing them when you turned on the spotlight
