One hand splayed on her back between her shoulder blades, Klaus forces @el3nas forward on the table, bent at the waist. There's more force than he usually applied with her, but she could take it now; she was a monster like him, she would remain with him. Palm skimming down the length of her spine, he gripped hard at her hip, while his other hand snapped her panties easily, the flimsy fabric coming away with the slightest of tugs. ❛ There are many pleasures that can come with the heightened senses. ❜ His fingers danced along her skin with the lightest of touches, down the meat of her thigh; his fingers in her hip would leave bruises that would heal once he let go. He did not intend to let go. ❛ And I will show you them all. ❜

transition / damon salvatore x reader
summary: after another day in Mystic Falls you find yourself unable to push away the one thought that’s been plaguing you for months... and you turn to Damon for help
word count: 2.8k
warnings: typical vampire diaries violence (blood, etc), fluffy, no use of y/n
Tumblr media
Images flooded your mind as you pulled the blanket tighter around yourself to shield from the cool air of your bedroom but it was no use… even if you warmed up it wouldn’t be enough to let you sleep. You should have been used to it all by now, the blood and the gore of your life, and to a certain extent you were. In the heat of the moment you didn’t let it affect you, you carried on with what you were doing, which was usually something to the tune of saving Elena’s life, and you’d do it as many times as you needed… you’d known the girl since diapers, but that didn’t make it any easier when you found yourself alone in the solitude and darkness of your room.
You huffed, sitting upright and accepting your fate, you simply wouldn’t be sleeping tonight. Amidst your brain sorting through and processing the events of the day there was one thought on the forefront, one that had been there for months… Since you first met Klaus, before you helped thwart his plans and turned the affections he once showed you (and affections you exploited when it suited the needs of your friends) to hatred, there was one thought that plagued you. You wanted to be a vampire. Not just because it would make your life easier, not just because you no longer had any family left besides your ragtag group of supernatural friends, a fact that became all the more clear as you walked through your empty and silent house, but because you genuinely thought it would make you feel more whole.
Ever since you found out there could be more to life than the mundane humanity you were cursed with you found yourself longing for something you didn’t know how to ask for. You couldn’t discuss it with anybody. Bonnie and Elena would be disgusted, Caroline would tell you how much she wished she’d been given a choice, and Stefan would tell you about the horrors of his ripper days, Damon though… Damon might understand. To the shock and dismay of your friends you became closer to him than anybody. You didn’t hold the same mere tolerance for the man as everyone else, you thought he was charming, and you often understood the motives behind the decisions he made. You were his only ally when he came back to town and somewhere along the way you became genuine friends, but something held you back from talking with him about this. Whether it was fear of rejection, or fear that he wouldn’t understand you didn’t know, but before you knew it you were climbing into your car in nothing but an oversized tee shirt and following the ever-familiar roads to the boarding house.
You let yourself in as you often did and took note of the quiet house, none of the lights were on as you made your way up the stairs and padded down the hallway, lightly knocking on Damon’s door and when you heard nothing you just pushed your way in and softly settled on the bed beside him. He awoke, eyes searching through the darkness for the intruder before they landed on you and he let out a groan.
“Do you ever knock?” he asked and you chuckled.
“I did, guess that vampire hearing isn’t as good as you think.”
“Well, I should have seen this coming… knew you’d give into my charms sooner or later,” he said, wrapping an arm around you and pulling you into him and you just swatted his chest.
“In your dreams, Salvatore,” you teased, but little did he know it was in your dreams too… but that was another secret you’d keep closely guarded.
“Every night, darling. What are you doing here?”
“Couldn’t sleep,” you mumbled and you felt him nod above you as you settled further into him, soaking up the warmth and comfort he provided. You wondered what the others would think if they got to see this side of him… the one that was kind and affectionate, they might cut him some more slack.
“Staking a vampire as a tiny human tends to do that to a person,” he said with a chuckle.
“It wasn’t that,” you sighed. Sure, on the surface it was, but beneath it all there was a much larger thought nagging at you. One that would take away some of your fear, make you feel stronger… maybe make you feel more like yourself, something you’re not sure you’ve ever experienced.
“No?” he prompted and you sat up, looking down at him with confliction written all over your face and he sensed it immediately, following suit and flicking the light on his bedside table on. “What’s going through that pretty little head of yours?” he asked, eyes flitting over your face. You were always strong and composed, the most emotion he typically saw you exude was annoyance, and maybe anger, but even then you were calm and controlled… for a human he sometimes found it a little scary.
“I have something to ask you… I’ve wanted to for a while but I just, I didn’t know how and you might think I’ve gone insane,” you started and he listened to the uptick of your heart rate.
“Well, consider me intrigued.”
You took a deep breath, “would you ever… turn me?” you asked and his eyes widened.
“Turn you? Into a vampire?” he clarified and you nodded. Would he ever turn you? In a heartbeat. He’d thought about it a dozen times or more, on the surface if he was ever asked he’d make some quip about how it would make life easier. One less human to worry about is a win-win for everybody, and it never hurts to have more vampire power on the frontlines but beneath it all he didn’t want to lose you, ever. The fact that you were a fragile human scared him, it made him distracted whenever chaos ensued, which was always, because you often took charge and put yourself in situations you shouldn’t be in and you found yourself on the brink of death far too many times for him to be comfortable with. He loved you, even if he wouldn’t quite admit it to himself yet. The thought of losing you, whether it be sixty years from now of natural causes or next week, was the thing that kept him up at night. “Why are you asking me this?”
“Well, of all the vampires on the roster I figured you were the least likely to lecture me,” you joked but he just shot you a look and you knew that wasn’t the answer he was looking for. “I feel useless, and I don’t feel like myself. I want to help more, I don’t just want to be some meek human everyone has to worry about all the time. I don’t see our lives calming down anytime soon and I want to be able to contribute more.”
“Is that the only reason?”
You sighed again, “when I met you and Stefan I didn’t realize there could be more to life. I thought I would go to college, meet some boring guy, get a boring job, have kids I never really wanted in the first place and go on to die mildly content of some old person’s disease,” you said and he chuckled at the picture you painted of humanity. “I never wanted that but I didn’t see another option… and then you two came to town, and my parents died, and every week I find myself in the midst of supernatural chaos. In the moments I’m doing something to help or when I make you whizz me around the forest like you’re some amusement park ride are the moments I do start to feel like myself.”
“So this is something you’ve been thinking about for a while?” he asked and you nodded. “Why didn’t you bring this up sooner?”
“Thought you’d think I’m crazy, maybe rip my necklace off and compel me to forget I ever asked in the first place,” you answered and he gave you a disappointed look as he did just what you thought he would and pulled the delicate chain from your neck before tossing it aside.
“Be completely honest with me,” he said, eyes dilating as they locked onto yours and his hand softly cradled your jaw as you were frozen under his compulsion. “Do you want me to turn you?”
“Yes, I want you to turn me.”
“How long have you known you wanted this?”
“Since Klaus came to town, before the sacrifice ritual,” you answered and he was surprised by this… that you’d been thinking about this for that long.
“Do you understand what you’re asking for? The bloodlust, no kids, no way to undo this?” he asked and you nodded softly, eyes still holding his.
“I understand, I know what I’m asking for.” He dropped his hand and pulled away, breaking you from your trance and you blinked as you waited for him to say something. He was weighing his options… sure, he’d wanted this maybe for as long as you had, even fantasized about a life where he could turn you and level the playing field, make it a little easier to clue you in on how he felt about you but he could never bring himself to present it as an option because he couldn’t allow himself to be selfish with you. He thought that would only benefit him, that you were repulsed by the idea of becoming a vampire like Elena was. He knew if he did this the backlash would be intense, people would conveniently ignore it was you who crawled into his bed to ask for this, they’d accuse him of corrupting you somehow but it seemed you’d done that all on your own.
But he realized he didn’t really care about the criticisms, he’d do just about anything to make you happy, to give you everything you ever wanted and this? Well, this was easy. “It seems we have something to celebrate then,” he said as he stood from his bed and walked to his desk to pour two glasses of bourbon and you followed, ignoring the chill that ignited goosebumps over your bare legs. “To your last night as a human,” he said, holding his glass up for you to clink against yours.
“To my last night as a human,” you repeated, taking a sip. “You don’t have any other questions?” you asked and he smirked at you.
“Do you want me to have more questions?”
“Not really… I thought there’d just be more of a song and dance, more convincing,” you shrugged.
“It’s your choice, if this is the life you want then I’m not going to stand in your way. I asked what I needed to be sure you’ve thought it through,” he replied and you nodded softly as you finished off your drink and he quickly poured you another. “How do you want to go?”
You let out a laugh, “are you asking me how I want you to kill me?” He chuckled and nodded. “Well, you have more expertise on the matter… what’s your recommendation?”
“Breaking your neck. Sounds harsh but you don’t really feel anything, it all just goes dark,” he said and you nodded.
“Sounds like the way to go then,” you said and you suddenly felt nervous. Not because you were having second thoughts, Damon’s compulsion had proven you had none, but you were currently standing on the precipice of something that would change your life forever… truly forever, and the thought had a nervous excitement thrumming through your veins and Damon must have heard your heart rate accelerate because went to fiddle with his stereo before soft music filled the room and you gave him a questioning look.
“What, did you think a lame bourbon toast was going to be the last thing you did as a human?” he asked with a shake of his head, “come on, I’m a gentleman.” You smiled as you took his outstretched hand and let him pull you into him, enjoying the feel of his hands on your waist as you swayed softly to the rhythm and rested your head on his chest as you soaked it all in. He was right, these were your last human moments, you should take the time to let yourself truly feel them.
“Can I ask you something?”
“Now’s your chance,” he said as you lifted your head to look up at him.
“I know emotionally things will get more intense, but what about physically?”
He smiled softly, “everything gets more intense, it’s like there was a barrier between you and the rest of the world before… everything gets brighter and clearer.”
Your eyes brightened, “does this mean I won’t need my contacts anymore?”
He laughed, “you’re moments away from dying and coming back to life and that’s what you’re concerned with?” he asked and you nodded. “Your vision will be crystal clear,” he promised as he twirled you around and you smiled as your back collided with his chest, enjoying the warmth as his arms wrapped around you and guided your hips to the beat. “Your dancing will get a lot better too,” he whispered in your ear and you gasped.
“My dancing is just fine, thank you,” you protested and you felt his chuckle rumble through his chest. He brought his wrist up to bite open and held it in front of you, and you looked up at him through your lashes where he just nodded, letting you know it was okay. You closed your lips around the wound, sucking in the sickly sweet taste as he cradled you against him, still swaying to the music. This wasn’t the first time you’d drank from him, but this was the first time you weren’t lying on the ground somewhere in pain; you were in Damon’s room, safe in his arms and it felt… intimate. You tried to stop yourself from reading into it, this wasn’t something small and meaningless. Everyone had a traumatic story behind their transition into vampirism, he was simply making sure you didn’t have the same experience… or at least that’s what you were telling yourself.
When he pulled his arm away you turned to face him and wrapped your arms around his neck, “thank you.” you whispered and he just smiled softly.
“Last exit sign before the point of no return, there’s still time for me to lock you in the cell away from any and all danger until it passes from your system,” he said and you laughed as you shook your head.
“I’m sure, Damon. I want this,” you said and he nodded, pulling you flush against him as you continued to dance… there was no rush, you were simply enjoying this moment together before everything changed. He was soaking in these moments of having you in his arms… you might have crawled into his bed in the middle of the night several times a week, too much pent up energy from the latest disaster to let your mind rest, but this was different. You’d come to him with something you couldn’t go to anyone else for, you were entrusting him and him alone to be the one to change you and it meant more to him than he might ever be able to verbalize to you.
“I’ve thought about this before,” he said and you looked up at him confused. “Turning you, more times than I probably should’ve.”
“You have? Why?” you asked, searching his eyes for answers, as if you’d find something unspoken there.
“If someone else asked I’d say it’s because you’re a liability,” he said as he twirled you again before pulling you right back in and you softly gasped at the force with which you collided against him, “you have a knack for running headfirst into danger… it’d be better for everyone if you were a little more durable,” he said and you chuckled. “But really? I can’t bear the thought of losing you. Every time something happens to you I think I lose a piece of my mind, selfishly I’ve wanted to turn you since I met you to ease my own discomfort.”
Your heart pounded against your ribcage, “why did you never say anything?”
“Because having the thought was selfish enough,” he said, hands trailing up to rest along your jaw. “Are you ready?” he asked and you nodded. “If I’m going to kill you, I need you to say it.”
You giggled, “yes, Damon. I’m ready,” you replied, eyes bright as you looked up at him, unsure of what to expect. His hands shifted, cradling the back of your head and you took a deep breath.
“Close your eyes,” he whispered and you did, feeling his lips press against your forehead and just as he promised… Everything went dark.

Chapter One - Homecoming
Becoming a vampire completely flipped Charlotte's life upside down. One day you were a 17 year old girl, navigating an absent mother and recently overdosed father. The worst of your problems were still severe, like figuring out how to pay for groceries or forge your mother's signature. Then suddenly, all you could think about was blood. All the time.
It didn't take long for Stefan Salvatore to figure out you were a new vampire, given that you disappeared from school for a week and couldn't get back into your house. Bonnie made you a daylight ring, which you were immensely grateful for, but it was on the condition that you accepted Stefan's help and agreed not to hurt anyone. You gave Stefan's method a try, but you couldn't deal with the guilt of hurting animals, even deer. So you stuck to blood bags and out-of-towners, once you had the self control.
You'd managed to summon your waste of space mother back to town about a month after becoming a vampire. You spent the first week finding random places to hide during the day and sleep at night, then once Stefan discovered you, he let you stay at the Salvatore house until your mother came back. He told you that you had to get her to invite you inside, which would've been hard if she were on vervain, but she was not, so he compelled her to and just like that, you could sleep in your own bed again. She was gone as quick as she arrived, saying her and Kelly were going to Florida with these guys they were partying with. You paid her no mind, as your own concern was not killing people.
By the time senior year rolled around, you were in pretty good shape. You were not a ripper, thankfully. You enjoyed hanging around Damon Salvatore more than the others, as he was much more similar to you. You didn't want to kill people, no, but you didn't share the immense guilt and pressure that Stefan and Elena seemed to have. You fed and compelled out-of-towners and drank from blood bags otherwise. It became like second nature to you, and your vampirism only enhanced your life. In fact, it solved most of your problems. You could compel most people to get what you wanted, have money to buy groceries or pay the rent...
It all worked out pretty well, other than the danger that came with being in the know. Like, for example, when everyone learned about the "Original vampires." You really tried to keep your distance from Elena and her friends, but being that most of them were vampires - or werewolves - and you were too, you always ended up involved in their drama. Apparently, some big bad hybrid vampire-werewolf was after Elena for a ritual. You managed to stay out of that for the most part, only about as involved as Tyler, except that you hadn't managed to get yourself kidnapped and nearly sacrificed. You were surprised when you heard that Stefan left town with the original hybrid - Klaus. You can't say that you didn't care, of course you did. You hoped that Stefan was okay and occasionally pitched in with Elena's efforts to track him down. He helped you with your transition and you also were friends with Damon - and occasionally more than friends too - so you cared for his brother. Still, you really tried to stay out of it. It seemed like they were always involved in a near-death situation.
It seemed like everyone in the damn town had met "Klaus" except for you. You grew more curious what this big bad 1000 year old hybrid looked like every time they mentioned him, but never actually got to see him. When Stefan returned to town still sired to him but alone, you were confused but relieved. "What are you wearing tonight?" Caroline asked you as you walked out of your last class of the day. She was one of those girls that constantly cared about things like this - homecoming. She was Miss Mystic Falls, she's always head of prom committee... In many ways, she polar opposite of you.
"Probably just a black lace dress, I dunno." you respond. She stares at you blankly, like you just said the most absurd thing.
"You don't know what you're wearing?" she clarifies, and you shrug.
"I'm not trying to impress anyone, so I don't really care too much. I'm just going to dance and have some spiked punch." you laugh, but she's unamused. The day went by like it usually did. You went home, did homework, got ready and had a blood bag, then went to Tyler's estate. The homecoming was moved there last minute, which was fine with you - it was way nicer there than at your school.
You arrived in a knee length halter top black lace dress and simple makeup. You thought that you looked pretty damn hot, even without all the get up that other girls did. You wandered around the party aimlessly, waiting for people to start dancing or something exciting to happen. This wasn't necessarily your scene, but it beat staying home.
Eventually, you spotted a tall blond that was definitely too old to go to your school. He seemed to have just arrived, and he was with two other large guys who did not look inviting whatsoever. He was only a few feet in front of you and you accidentally made eye contact after staring for too long. A smirk spread across his features and he approached you. "Ah, you must be the other one I haven't met." he says.
You raise a confused brow and he leans in. "Vampire," he clarifies, and your eyes widen.
"And who are you, might I ask?" you take a sip from your solo cup.
"Oh surely you've heard of me. The original hybrid." you choke on your punch and his grin grows. "Ah, you do know who I am. Fantastic."
"I was expecting someone... ya know, ancient. Aren't you like 1000?" he laughs and you can't help but chuckle too, hearing how odd that sounds.
"I'll take that as a compliment, love." he replies, and you inwardly swoon over his British accent and use of the word 'love.'
"So what are you doing at a high school dance?" you make small talk, attempting to sip your drink one more time. It's his turn to furrow a brow, seemingly confused why you are making small talk with him, but he doesn't mention it.
"Celebrating. The death of my father. Haven't you heard?" he asks. You stare at him for a long moment, processing what he said.
"No, I don't really keep up with the drama. Don't know much about you other than that you're old and you tried to kill Elena." He eyes you but seems unbothered by your lack of interest. "Celebrating a dead parent, huh? Wish I could relate." you down the last of your spiked punch and crunch the cup in your hand.
"Daddy issues?" he asks with a grin. "Daddy's dead. Wish my mother was." you clarify. His confident grin falters for the first time in your conversation and he observes you. Before he can respond, one of the guys with him - which you are know piecing together must be hybrids - whispers something to him. You don't bother with your vamp hearing as you don't care much and it was a quick comment, but he nods and looks toward the Lockwood mansion.
"Afraid I got to go, love. Things to attend to." his grin returns, and he starts moving to walk away, but your body acts before your mind can and you reach out to grab his bicep.
"Wait," you look around briefly before leaning in and whispering. "I think they're up to something tonight. Just so you know." you warn him. Why the hell did you do that? His grin falls into a deep scowl but he nods at you and seems appreciative of the info.
"Thanks, love." And with that he heads off toward the mansion. You can feel something brewing in the air and decide that you want no part of it, so you chuck your crushed cup in the trash and call it a night early, heading home.

between goals and hearts | jude bellingham ft. pedri gonzalez
Tumblr media
Part 1
Part 2: Navigating Confessions
pairing: pedri gonzalez x reader; jude bellingham x reader
summary: Elena and Jude's budding romance faces a test when Pedri finally confesses his long-held feelings. Amidst the turmoil, Elena seeks guidance from friends, leading to honest conversations and difficult decisions about the path forward.
warnings: none
author's note: This was the last part, I hope you liked it. Remember to leave me your comments and that my orders are open.
After their unforgettable kiss, Elena found herself wrapped in a haze of confusion. Though she was elated by the connection she felt with Jude, she also sensed a need to step back and reflect. Her hesitation wasn't about Jude per se; it was more about her, about understanding her own feelings before plunging into something deeper. This introspection led her to inadvertently start avoiding Jude, not because she wanted to, but because she felt overwhelmed.
Noticing the growing distance between them, Jude decided it was important to address the situation head-on. He called Elena, suggesting they meet at a quiet park near her apartment, hoping a calm and private setting might encourage an open conversation.
As Elena walked towards the park, her heart pounded with a mixture of dread and anticipation. Jude was already there, sitting on a bench, looking up with a gentle smile as she approached. His calm demeanor eased some of her anxiety.
"Elena," Jude began, his voice full of concern, "I've noticed you've been somewhat distant lately. I hope I haven't done anything to upset you. I value our friendship and whatever might develop beyond that, and I just want to understand if I've done something wrong."
Elena took a deep breath, grateful for the serene setting.
"Jude, you haven't done anything wrong. This is about me needing to understand my own feelings better," she confessed.
"The other night was wonderful, but it also left me feeling a bit overwhelmed. I need some time to sort through my emotions before moving forward."
Jude nodded, his eyes reflecting both understanding and a hint of sadness.
"Thank you for being honest, Elena. I like you a lot, and I want this to work, but only if it’s right for both of us. Take the time you need. I’m here, and I'll wait. I just hope we can explore what this might become when you're ready."
Elena was touched by Jude's patience and understanding. His supportive words lifted the heavy burden of guilt she had been carrying since their kiss.
"I really appreciate your understanding, Jude. I’m sorry if I seemed distant. It wasn't my intention to be so confusing."
They continued to talk, shifting the conversation to lighter topics, and slowly regaining some of the easy camaraderie that had marked their interactions before. It was a bittersweet meeting, each aware of the potential and the challenges that lay ahead.
When they parted ways later, Elena felt a renewed sense of affection and respect for Jude. His maturity and empathetic handling of the situation encouraged her to deal with her emotions honestly.
That night, as Elena reflected on her next steps, she felt empowered to navigate her feelings with the same openness and care that Jude had shown, hopeful for whatever the future might hold.
Jude had spent the better part of the afternoon pacing in his room in Madrid, rehearsing the words he would say to Elena. The excitement and nerves made his heart race; tonight was the night he would finally reveal his feelings.
His plan was simple yet heartfelt—a surprise visit to Elena's flat in the vibrant La Latina district, a dinner at their favorite little Italian bistro in Malasaña, followed by a romantic walk along the moonlit paths of El Retiro Park.
Gathering his courage along with a small bouquet of wildflowers hed picked near the Manzanares River, Jude set out as the city began to transition from the bustling energy of the day to the intriguing whispers of the evening. The air was filled with the scent of spring, and the city lights began to flicker alive. Reaching Elena's building, his fingers hesitated for a moment before buzzing her flat.
The door swung open, and there stood Elena, her expression a mixture of surprise and delight.
“Jude? What’s all this?”
“These are for you,” he said, handing her the bouquet, his nerves momentarily soothed by her smile.
“They’re beautiful. But why the surprise?” Elena’s curiosity sparkled in her eyes as she stepped aside to let him in.
“I thought maybe you’d like to go out with me tonight. There’s a place I’d love to take you, and something special I want to share,” Jude's voice held a hopeful note.
Her smile widened. “I’d love to! Just let me grab my coat.”
Soon, they were navigating the cobblestone streets of Madrid, their path illuminated by the soft glow of street lamps. They talked easily, falling into a comfortable rhythm, and eventually found themselves at the quaint bistro.
They chose a quiet corner under the warm glow of fairy lights, their meal filled with laughter and shared stories.
After dinner, they strolled toward El Retiro Park, the grandeur of the park gates bathed in moonlight welcoming them. They wandered along the pathways, their steps slow, savoring the peace of the night.
Jude felt the moment was right as they paused by the Estanque Grande, the city lights reflecting like scattered gems on the water.
Turning to Elena, Jude’s heart pounded fiercely.
“Elena, I brought you here tonight because there’s something I really need to tell you.”
She looked at him, her face open and attentive under the starry sky.
“What is it, Jude?”
Taking a deep breath, he found the courage he needed in her gentle gaze.
“I’ve been feeling this way for quite some time, and I can’t hold it back anymore. Elena, I like you. A lot. More than just as a friend.” His words felt clumsy, but sincere.
Elena’s response was a soft pause, her eyes searching his under the dim light. Then, slowly, her lips curved into a tender smile.
“I’m so glad you feel that way, because I’ve been feeling the same.”
She’d accepted his invitation—an opportunity to explore this new chapter.
Relief washed over Jude, mingling with a happiness so profound he thought he might burst. They stood there, beside the shimmering lake, enveloped in a night that no longer seemed just like any other.
Hand in hand, they continued their walk, the city of Madrid casting its enchanting spell around them, as they stepped forward into the beginning of something new.
And so, their dates multiplied—the rooftop picnics, the late-night walks, the whispered secrets. Jude was a canvas of emotions, each brushstroke revealing more of himself.
The next weekend, they organized a group outing to Templo de Debod to watch the sunset. Jude invited his longtime friend Trent, known for his witty jokes and deep along with Trent’s girlfriend, Ana, who shared Elena’s passion for photography.
Emily brought along her close friend Sofia, an aspiring chef who loved experimenting with traditional dishes from around the world.
Jude watched as Elena laughed at something Trent said, her eyes lighting up in amusement. He felt a swell of happiness seeing her integrate so well with his friends, just as he found Sofia’s enthusiastic food talks.
They laughed, shared stories of missed flights and serendipitous encounters. Jude fit seamlessly into their circle, his charm disarming everyone.
As the night wore on, Sofia leaned in. “Lena,” she whispered, “he’s smitten with you.”
Elena blushed. “I know.”
Elena and Pedri some weeks after, were sat across from each other at their favorite little diner in Madrid, a place that had witnessed many of their laughter-filled evenings.
The mood today, however, veered towards nostalgia, tinged with a subtle undercurrent of tension neither wanted to acknowledge.
Pedri’s eyes held memories—their childhood escapades, the treehouse they’d built, and the promise they’d made to always be there for each other.
“Remember the time we tried to catch fireflies?” Pedri said, stirring his latte.
Elena smiled.
“And you fell into the creek.”
He chuckled.
“You jumped in after me.”
Pedri’s voice was soft as he recounted stories of their adventures—the time they’d built a cardboard castle, the day they’d chased rainbows.
“Elena,” he said, “you’ve always been my compass.”
As they reminisced, the conversation inevitably drifted to their teenage years, and Pedri brought up the story of their first kiss—a clumsy, innocent peck during a game of spin the bottle that had somehow become a cherished memory.
They laughed, but Elena noticed the wistful look in Pedri’s eyes.Feeling the weight of her current happiness and past affection, Elena decided it was time to share her news about Jude.
She hesitated, unsure how Pedri would react, especially given the fierce rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Would he see her relationship with a rival player as a betrayal? Gathering her courage, she told him, watching his face closely.
"Pedri, there’s something new I haven’t mentioned yet. I’m seeing someone—Jude. It happened quite unexpectedly, but it feels right.” As she spoke, her eyes lit up with a glow that didn't escape Pedri's notice.
Pedri's reaction was muted. He managed a smile, but his eyes didn't hide the sadness.
"I'm happy for you, Leny" he said, but his voice lacked its usual warmth. It was evident he noticed the love in her eyes as she spoke of Jude, which made his next actions all the more painful.
"You deserve to be happy."
His voice held a sincerity that made Elena's heart ache.
She knew him well enough to understand the turmoil he must be feeling, even if he didn't show it openly. The ride home was quiet, filled with a palpable sense of things left unsaid.
At her doorstep, Elena, moved by a desire to preserve their bond, invited Pedri to stay for a movie, hoping to recapture the ease between them. But Pedri declined, his.
"I should really get going" echoing with finality. As he walked away, Elena stood in the doorway, a mix of confusion and sadness clouding her thoughts.
The following day, Elena shared the experience with Jude, trying to inject some humor into the recount by mentioning Pedri’s somber reaction. Jude, perhaps sensing her discomfort, made a light-hearted comment about Pedri’s possible feelings for her.
Elena laughed it off, but inside, she couldn't shake off the feeling that Jude might be onto something.
The weekend brought unexpected revelations when Pedri appeared at her door, his expression solemn.
"Elena, I can’t keep this inside any longer. I love you. I always have." His confession shattered the precarious peace Elena had built around her heart.
In the stillness of her apartment, Elena faced Pedri, his confession echoing in her mind. She took a deep breath, steadying herself against the swell of emotions.
"Pedri, this isn't fair. I have someone else now. Why did it take you so long? I loved you, I really did, but you never said anything. You waited until I was happy with someone else."
"I cared for you, deeply, but you never said anything. I had to move on."
Pedri's expression crumpled slightly, the weight of his untimely admission evident.
Pedri's face showed his struggle, his eyes reflecting a mix of regret and resignation.
"I didn't know how to tell you," he murmured.
"I was afraid. Afraid to change what we had, afraid you didn't feel the same way."
"I was scared it would ruin everything. By the time I realized I should've spoken up, you were with Jude. I just thought... you should know, even if it's too late."
Elena's heart ached for both what was and what could never be.
"It's not just about knowing, Pedri. It's about timing. And now, it’s too late."
Elena felt a pang of sympathy for Pedri, but her resolve hardened.
"I appreciate your honesty, Pedri, but I'm with Jude now. I love him. And what you've done has put me in such a difficult position."
Pedri nodded, a sad understanding in his gaze.
"I'm sorry, Leny. Truly, I am. I'll step back. You won't have to deal with any more complications because of me."
As Pedri nodded silently and left, the door closing softly behind him, Elena felt the finality of their conversation.
She needed guidance, someone to help her navigate these tumultuous feelings. Picking up her phone, she dialed Sofia, her closest friend, who always knew how to find clarity in chaos.
Sofia answered with her usual cheer, which momentarily lifted Elena's spirits.
"Hey, Leny! What’s up?"
Elena hesitated, then let out everything.
"Pedri just confessed that he's been in love with me for years. And he told me now, when I'm with Jude. I don’t know what to do. I feel so confused."
There was a pause as Sofia processed this.
"Oh, wow. That’s a lot," Sofia finally said.
"First, how do you feel about Pedri now? Be honest with yourself. And how does this change the way you feel about Jude?"
Elena pondered the question.
"I don't know... I think I’m just shocked more than anything. I love Jude. I really do. Pedri is... he was important to me, but that’s the past. It has to be."
"Then you need to stay focused on that. Talk to Jude about this. It’s going to be tough, but it’s better if he hears about it from you. As for Pedri, it might be time to put some distance there, at least until you sort this out. Protect your current relationship," Sofia advised wisely.
Elena nodded, feeling the truth in Sofia's words.
"You’re right. I’ll talk to Jude tonight. Thanks, Sofi, I knew you’d help me see things clearer."
"Anytime, girl. And remember, it’s okay to protect your happiness. You’re not responsible for Pedri's feelings. You’ve got your own to take care of," Sofia reminded her.
With a plan in mind and Sofia's supportive words echoing in her heart, Elena prepared herself for the conversation with Jude. She knew it wouldn’t be easy, but it was necessary.
Elena recounted the confession to Jude, expecting anger or disappointment.
Instead, Jude’s response was unexpectedly mature.
"I’ll give you some time," he said, understanding the complexity of her emotions.
In the aftermath of Elena's confession, Jude wrestled with a blend of anger and protectiveness toward her. Understanding that Pedri’s confession had shaken Elena, he felt compelled to address the issue directly. The following weekend, he made a spontaneous trip to Barcelona, determined to confront Pedri.
When Jude arrived at Pedri's apartment, the air was tense. Pedri opened the door, his expression guarded, sensing the purpose behind Jude's unexpected visit. The two men stood eye to eye, the undercurrent of their past rivalry as players for opposing teams adding weight to the silence.
"Why now, Pedri?" Jude's voice was firm, tinged with frustration. "Why would you tell her when she’s with me? What were you hoping to achieve, mate?"
Pedri sighed, the weight of his actions settling on his shoulders. He motioned for Jude to come in, recognizing that this conversation deserved more than a doorstep acknowledgment. Once inside, Pedri offered Jude a seat but remained standing, as if ready to defend his actions.
"I know it looks bad, Jude. And I'm sorry for the timing. It wasn’t about undermining what you two have. It was about me not being able to hold it in any longer," Pedri explained, his voice steady but filled with regret.
"I’ve held these feelings for Elena for years, and I... I just reached a point where it felt dishonest not to tell her—even though she’s with you now."
Jude’s expression softened slightly as he processed Pedri’s words. The honesty in Pedri's tone was undeniable, and it spoke to Jude’s own sense of integrity.
"I get that it’s been tough on you," Jude acknowledged, his tone more conciliatory than when he’d first arrived.
"But you’ve got to see how this puts her in an impossible situation. She’s confused and hurt because she cares about you as a friend."
Pedri nodded, his gaze dropping to the floor.
"I know, and I regret that. I didn’t mean to cause her pain. I guess I was just being selfish. I’ll respect whatever boundaries you and Elena set. I don’t want to cause any more trouble."
Jude studied Pedri for a moment, then stood to leave, his initial anger cooled by their honest exchange.
"Thanks for being straight with me, Pedri. Let’s just keep this between us guys, okay? We should both be there for her, in whatever way she needs, without making this any harder."
Pedri agreed, and with a firm handshake that marked a mutual understanding, Jude left.
As he headed back to Madrid, his thoughts were on Elena. He was determined to support her through this emotional turmoil, trusting that their bond was strong enough to withstand the challenges it faced.
Back in Madrid, Elena lay in bed, the rain tapping against the window. Jude visited Elena and confessed about his trip to Barcelona. “I went to see Pedri,” he said. “He’s staying away.”
She understood. “Jude, I—”
Elena was initially upset but soon realized that Jude's actions stemmed from his deep love for her.
He kissed her, silencing her. “Baby, I’m fighting for you. Because I love you.”
Without a word, Jude leaned in, capturing Elena's lips in a tender yet passionate kiss. It was a silent acknowledgment of their shared strength and resilience, a reconnection that transcended words. Their embrace deepened, fueled by the intensity of their emotions, until they found themselves entwined in each other's arms, their bodies moving in perfect harmony.
Their kisses turned into desperate whispers of longing, their passion igniting into a fiery blaze that consumed them both. Lost in the heat of the moment, they surrendered to their desires, their bodies melding together in a union of raw need and undeniable love.
In the aftermath, as they lay entangled in each other's embrace, their breaths ragged and hearts racing, they found solace in the silent understanding that passed between them. The tumultuous emotions of the past weeks seemed to dissipate, replaced by a renewed sense of closeness and affection.
Weeks later, after the dust had settled and wounds had begun to heal, Elena reached out to Pedri. Their conversation was tentative at first, the awkwardness of their previous encounter lingering in the background.
Elena reflected on her feelings for Pedri and realized that what she felt was deep affection, but not romantic love. With her heart clearer, she met with Pedri one last time to convey her decision.
“I care about you so much, Pedri, but what I feel for Jude... it’s different. It’s where my heart truly lies.”
Yet, as they talked, they found that the bond of their friendship remained unbroken.
Pedri accepted her decision with a sad smile,
“I just want you to be happy, Elena. That’s all I’ve ever wanted.”
Though their dynamic had shifted, they resolved to move forward, their shared history serving as a foundation for their enduring connection.
As the days passed, Elena and Jude found themselves navigating the intricacies of their relationship with a newfound sense of clarity and purpose. Their bond deepened, strengthened by the trials they had faced together and the unwavering support they offered each other.
Meanwhile, Pedri focused on his career, channeling his emotions into his performances on the field.
Though the memory of his confession to Elena lingered in the back of his mind, he remained determined to move forward, embracing the challenges that lay ahead with renewed determination.
One sunny afternoon, as the teams gathered for a friendly match, Jude and Pedri found themselves on opposing sides once again. The familiar rush of adrenaline coursed through their veins as they prepared to face off on the field.
As the game progressed, tensions ran high, each player giving their all in pursuit of victory. Yet, amidst the intensity of the match, there were moments of camaraderie and mutual respect, reminders of the bonds that transcended the competition.
In the end, as the final whistle blew, signaling the end of the game, both teams gathered on the field, their exhaustion mingling with a sense of camaraderie.
Jude and Pedri shared a nod of acknowledgment, a silent acknowledgment of the journey they had traveled together and the unbreakable bond that connected them, both as rivals and as friends.
As they exchanged handshakes and words of sportsmanship, the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the field—a reminder that, no matter the challenges they faced, they were united by their shared love for the game and the enduring bonds of friendship that would carry them forward, into whatever the future held.

Halo: The Series - Talia Perez Backstory
Talia is a UNSC Marine Reservist. Her unit is H&S Company, 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines ("New Alexandria's Own"). Like the name suggests, the regiment is based out of the city itself (at FLEETCOM, no less), and is drawn from Marines who live in and around the New Alexandria area.
She's a Communications Marine - able to maintain, repair, and operate any radio or sat-link communications system in the UNSC Marine Corps inventory.
Talia's Abuelo is alive and named Raul. He was a Navy man, a reservist who served aboard big warships, and he retired at the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer.
When he and John are in the same room, they refer to each other as "Chief." Talia rolls her eyes at this, but can't help but smile.
Talia is third-generation Reacher; Raul Perez having emigrated from a failed colony named Hidalgo decades before, and the family having originated in Cuba on Earth.
Many refugees from Hidalgo settled in the same area of New Alexandria. The neighborhood became known as Santiago Circle. Spanish is still spoken on the streets, thus preserving the accent among the residents.
Talia's father Nestor was a Navy reservist as well, a WSO aboard a Longsword fighter. He instilled in Talia a love of literature, especially fantasy, and read to her every night he was home during her formative years. Their favorite was The Lord of the Rings.
He was killed in action against the Covenant during the Siege of the Atlas Moons. Talia was only ten years old.
Talia has a little tattoo of the Gull Crown of Gondor in black, with a tiny White Tree superimposed over it, on the inside of her wrist in his honor.
Talia's mother Elena always resented having her so young, feeling she'd been robbed of her youth, and skipped town after her father died. Talia was devastated, but her grandparents took her in.
This left Talia determined to prove that she was better than her mom by marrying young as well, but sticking around and being the mother she wanted for herself.
When Talia was 14, her mother returned a changed woman. Diagnosed with terminal Boren's Syndrome, she came home hoping to reconcile with her daughter before her death. Talia forgave her repentant mother, and cared for her for nearly a year before she passed away. It was an enormously healing experience.
Around the same time, Talia met Alex Shawcross, the love of her life. He was a poor kid from Manassas - his father was a firefighter who died in the line of duty - leaving him to care for his four siblings while his mother worked two jobs to make ends meet.
Talia first saw him waiting at the transit station with his four siblings one day after school - already a man at just 15 - and it was love at first sight.
Alex was cutting lunches so his siblings would have something to take home for dinner. Talia noticed this - and how skinny he was - and started bringing leftovers from home and leaving them in his locker so he'd have something to eat. When he caught her; she confessed her love for him, and they were inseparable after that.
They had an adorable chaste teenage romance. Meeting at her favorite tea shop before school, trips to bookshops were he would watch her go through the stacks thoughtfully, sneaking out to meet at the park halfway between their houses to sit on the swings together and talk. Staying after his baseball games to sit on the blanket she brought to pad the bleachers and stargaze.
The Marines were part opportunity, part desperation for Alex; while Talia saw service as a way to honor her father's memory and live up to the example her grandfather had set. They had their plan - serve a contract, go to school, get good jobs. Make enough to get Alex's family out of tenement housing in Manassas. Buy a little land outside the city, build a kiva in the hills. Alex would work in the city, Talia would work from home and raise their children.
Alex proposed to her the night before they shipped out on their first deployments - to opposite ends of the Outer Colonies. They made love for the first time on a blanket in center field on the ball diamond, under the stars and aurora of Reach.
Talia made it back from her first deployment without incident. Alex didn't. He died under a Covenant glassing beam on an unnamed rock, trying to evacuate an unregistered colony that had called for help. No remains were recovered. All she has left of him is the simple, cheap, but cherished brass ring he gave her the night she agreed to become his wife.
Talia's never been the same since Alex died. She carries the weight of him every day.

Damon Salvatore x OFC
Lucy's head spun as they came to a sudden stop. "Stay here," Elijah ordered as he left her by a large tree. He took Klaus further away before dropping him. Once his heart had been released from his brother's grip, Klaus immediately began completing the transition that had been interrupted earlier. She held her breath as his body contorted and bones snapped. She hadn't been that frightened of him before, not really. But, now he was an Original hybrid and he was going to be furious with her.
Elijah wiped the blood from his hands with his handkerchief as he made his way back to her. "I am sorry, Lucy. But if my family lives, I must find them."
She raked a hand through her hair. "I'm not going to fault you for letting your brother live, Elijah. I was only involved in this mess for you in the first place. You should know, however, that I took actions based on the belief that he wouldn't be around to retaliate."
He tilted his head to the side and his gaze narrowed. "If it were any other vampire, I would tell you to run while I handled it. But it will be better to face Niklaus head on. He tends to hold a grudge otherwise.”
A howl cut through the night air and they jerked their heads toward the sound to find a large black wolf staring at them. Or, more precisely, at Lucy. Elijah moved until he stood between her and the wolf. "Now is not the time, Niklaus.”
Klaus stood there a moment more before turning and running off into the night. "I cannot lose sight of him," Elijah said before following. Not having any idea where she was, Lucy sighed and trailed after.
***
Damon threw his glass against the wall next to the fireplace. "Why the hell did he take Lucy?" It shattered with a resounding smash and broken pieces littered the ground.
Stefan sighed as he moved to clean up the shards. "Feel better?"
"No, not really. I need to find my girlfriend and that deranged hybrid her uncle ran off with."
"Well, Bonnie is still recovering from using so much magic. You're going to have to be patient," Stefan told him.
"I'm afraid that's not going to work out so well for me, brother."
Stefan frowned. "What's that supposed to mean?"
Damon rolled up his sleeve and turned his arm so Stefan could see the bite mark. "Tyler Lockwood nipped me."
"Why didn't you say anything?"
He shrugged. "I didn't think I needed to. Elijah was supposed to kill Klaus. I could have just sipped some hybrid blood and there'd be no reason to worry."
Stefan straightened his suit jacket. "Caroline and I are going to pick Elena up for John's funeral. Are you coming?"
Damon arched a brow. "I hated John Gilbert. Why the hell would I go to his funeral?"
Stefan shrugged. He was only going to accompany his girlfriend who was only going because it was expected.
Damon shook his head. "I need to keep looking."
Stefan nodded once and wished him luck before walking out of the house with Caroline tucked under his arm. Damon pulled his phone out and dialed Lucy's number for what felt like the hundredth time since the ritual. Once again she didn't answer. Where the hell was his girl?
He tossed his phone onto a nearby table and grunted as pain flared through his arm. He turned it so he could see the wound. What had started as a small, barely there bite now festered and throbbed. Clenching his teeth together, he opened the drawer in a small table and pulled out paper and a pen.
If he didn't find Lucy in time, there were some things he needed to say.
***
"Are you still not speaking to me then?" Elijah leaned against the trunk of a tree as they watched Klaus sleep.
Lucy scowled at her uncle. "What do you want me to say, Elijah? Did you want me to be thrilled that you dragged me out here? My phone is dead. You refuse to allow me to use yours. Damon is probably going insane with worry. I've spent the past two days helping you clean up your brother's messes. The brother who will undoubtedly try to kill me the first time you're not around by the way."
"Yes, about that..." Elijah said shooting her a questioning look. "I hardly think you trading out Niklaus’ sacrifices is the betrayal you seem to feel it is. He still completed the ritual. I believe you are worrying needlessly."
"It's not what I did. It's how I did it." She grimaced as she thought about the kiss and that devastated look on Klaus’ face when the others had shown up.
Before her uncle could respond, his brother woke and pushed himself off the ground as he looked around. Elijah threw clothes at him. "You've been busy.”
Lucy walked a short distance away and turned her back. She preferred not to see full frontal Klaus if she could help it. She kept an ear on their conversation.
"That was amazing," Klaus responded. "How long has it been?"
"Almost two days. The full moon came and went, yet you remained a wolf."
"I can change at will then. Good to know. I remember every single kill." Klaus sounded pleased.
"Yes, I've been cleaning up your little mess along the way," Elijah told him. "Or should I say, we have."
Lucy grimaced but took that as her cue to turn around. While the hybrid still wasn't fully clothed, at least he'd put on pants.
He gave her a half-smirk but she could see the hurt and anger in his eyes. "Lucy. I didn't expect to see you here, love. Looking for another chance to betray me?”
She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at the ground. "I did what needed to be done. That should be familiar to you."
He hummed and she glanced up to find him studying her intently.
"This can wait, Niklaus. We had a deal," Elijah said, drawing his attention.
"Yes, brother. You wish to be reunited with our family. I will see to it shortly." He finished dressing, his gaze kept drifting over to Lucy. She forced herself to stand her ground. After Elijah helped him with his jacket, Klaus turned. "Has she been out here with you the whole time?" He indicated Lucy with a nod of his head.
Elijah pursed his lips. "Of course."
Klaus smiled at the two of them and started moving through the trees. "Shall we?"
Lucy frowned. Why did everyone have a better sense of direction than she did? She trudged behind them, looking at her feet more than anything else. She just wanted to go home. She wanted Damon.
Klaus' hand wrapped around her upper arm and Lucy jumped. Fear flooded through her as she glanced over at him. "Can't have you disappearing on me before we have our chat, can we, love?"
She didn't even try to fight him. He was infinitely stronger than her. There was no question of that.
"Niklaus, I find it pertinent to remind you that I consider Lucy family. You will remember that."
"Of course, brother. I wouldn't dream of harming our little Lucy."
If anything the words only made her feel more terrified. It wasn't long before they arrived at Alaric's apartment. "Let me get cleaned up and we'll take care of our business," Klaus said as he opened the door.
Lucy gasped in surprise as she spotted Stefan searching through things in the apartment. Klaus followed her gaze. "Well, you just keep popping up, don't you mate?"
"I need your help." Stefan’s gaze darted between Klaus and Lucy. Something was seriously wrong, she could tell.
"You'll have to wait a moment. I have other business to see to." He finally released his grip on Lucy and she barely resisted the urge to rub her arm.
Stefan ignored the Mikaelsons and made a beeline to her. "Are you okay?" he asked in a low voice. "Damon's been freaking out."
She nodded. "My phone died. How is everyone else?"
He glanced at the floor than back up before licking his lips. "Tyler Lockwood bit Damon."
Lucy sucked in a breath as panic shot through her. "What? Is he all right?"
"Is everything okay, Lucy?" Elijah asked taking a step in their direction.
"You have your own problems to be concerned with, brother.”
Elijah spun and Klaus buried a dagger in his brother's chest. Lucy closed her eyes against the sight of her uncle's face turning gray once more. If only she could close her ears against his sounds of pain. She knew he would wake once the dagger was removed, but that didn't make it any easier to witness. After his body fell to the floor with a thud, Klaus turned to the two of them. Stefan stood slightly in front of Lucy as if trying to protect her. She grasped his hand with both of hers and he squeezed back in comfort.
The hybrid prowled across the floor and his gaze darted between the two of them before settling on Stefan. "Now, what can I do for you?"
"Damon was bitten by a werewolf," he answered with a tight jaw. Lucy felt slightly relieved. He wouldn't have come for Klaus's blood if Damon was already dead.
"And thanks to my lovely brother, you lot are aware my blood is the cure." Annoyance colored his words. "And why should I help you? What's in it for me, as they say?" He hooked his hands together behind his back and looked at Lucy. "It would seem things would be much simpler for me if Mr. Salvatore was out of the picture."
Lucy pushed her way past Stefan and looked up to meet Klaus's gaze. "What do you want, Klaus?"
He studied her for a moment before letting the back of his hand run down the side of her face. "It seems you and I have been here once before though it was Elijah negotiating for your life. But you see, Lucy, this time it's not you that will have to pay the price." His hand suddenly cupped her chin tightly, holding her head in place as he stared into her eyes.
She struggled briefly and then froze as his eyes locked onto hers. "And why should you? After all, Damon Salvatore is nothing more than your friend. Has never been anything more and never will be. Despite any feelings he might carry for you, you don’t return them. Why would you? After all, you love me. Have since the first time you saw me. Isn't that right, love?"
Lucy blinked wondering why Nik was holding her this way. She hooked a hand around his wrist. “Of course. You know I love you.”
He smiled. "And you are going to be a good girl and do whatever you can to please me. Aren't you?"
He released her completely when she nodded. She slid her arms around his neck and frowned at him. "What's with this all of a sudden?"
His hands found her waist as he gave her that dimpled smile she loved so much. "Just feeling a little insecure I suppose, love."
"You have no reason to.” She hugged him tightly, her gaze falling on Stefan as she did. She wondered what had caused his horrified expression.

DAMON/ELENA BRACKET ROUND 1.4VV
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1.18 After Stefan loses control and vamps out at an...inopportune moment, we cut to Elena answering the Gilbert home front door: “Oh good," she says, sounding relieved, "you’re here.”  “You ask, I come,” Damon tells her, “I’m easy like that.” She puts a finger to her lips and indicates that Jeremy is within earshot, and starts to head upstairs. Damon raises his voice: “No, Elena, I will not go to your bedroom with you!” Jeremy just rolls his eyes. Damon enters Elena's bedroom and says, “Ahhh, just like I remembered.” “Stop messing around,” Elena tells him. He flops onto her bed and starts playing with her teddy bear. They talk about Stefan. “He’s not himself, Damon,” Elena says.  “Well, maybe the problem is he’s spent too long not being himself,” Damon says, then fishes a bra out of Elena’s drawer and adds “Ooooh.” She snatches it away from him, says seriously, “Please don’t make me sorry for asking you.” “It is what it is, Elena,” Damon answers, now stealing a photo from her mirror frame. “The Stefan you know is good behavior Stefan. Reign it in Stefan.  Fight against his nature to an annoyingly obsessive level…Stefan. But if you think there’s not another part to this, then you have not been paying attention.”  She steps in close, takes her picture back. “He’s not you,” Elena tells him, “not even close.” “Well he doesn’t wanna be me,” Damon counters, “that doesn’t mean deep down that he’s not.”
1.20 Stefan is in detox, locked in the Salvatore basement, and has been for an unspecified amount of time. Damon asks Elena a question about Uncle John, and she says she's been avoiding him, "That, and I've been here most nights." Damon raises an eyebrow, says, "So you'll be here again tonight?" “Is that a problem?” Elena asks. “Yes,” Damon says, "you’re a complete nuisance.” Later, Damon makes plans with Alaric, and asks Elena “Look, are you gonna be okay here if I have to run out?" And then advises her, “You should – um – you should stay up here, you shouldn’t be down there by yourself.” “I’ll be fine,” Elena says. He says, “You know, you’re very trusting of him given the circumstances.” “So are you,” Elena answers. He looks at her, she says, “Otherwise you wouldn’t be leaving.” He says only, "Won't be long." When he gets back, he says "Ugh, god, you're still here?" She says, "Were you expecting anything else?" "No," he says, and sits down next to her on the couch and puts her feet in his lap. They discuss their respective days, and finally, Damon opens up to her about Stefan's role in his transition to becoming a vampire.

In 4x12 when Elena questions Stefan for sleeping with Rebekah she said she tried to kill her not that she did kill her which was the truth and Stefan responds like the douchebag he is. People compare Damon sleeping with Rebekah to Stefan doing so even though he failed to save Elena's life to not lose her love and slept with Rebekah after she did kill Elena. Also when Rebekah flirted with him while bullying Elena in 4x03 he didn't say anything against it like he did in 2x01 with Katherine which was interesting considering what he did later.
I think fans underestimate what Elena feels when Stefan sleeps with Rebekah. You can feel the differences. Damon isn't in a rush to get out of bed. When Elena ends up at his doorstep, fans have to understand that she just got done calling him on the phone and headed straight for his house. "I called you ten times last night. We need to talk." Ten times! Once was enough to let him know she made it home safe. Ten times reeks of desperation on her part lol.
At the same time, Damon still believes Elena didn't want him, that she meant what she said to him at the party. So when she calls him just to show up at his door soon after, he's truly confused by this because he didn't expect her at his doorstep - at all. They're talking about the Mikaelson party whether Damon wants to or not, that's what Elena is basically saying in her actions. When Elena sees him with Rebekah, it rips her open because she's in love with him. She refers to it as torment while in the Lockwood tunnel with Rebekah. At the same time, she's jealous as hell and telling everyone. Bonnie, Caroline, Stefan, Damon, and Alaric all know that she's jealous over Damon and Rebekah... which makes me laugh my ass off.
Damon gets snarky with her because while he did sleep with Rebekah to make her jealous, he also did it to make a point. Esther tried to kill Elena in 3x6, and she expected Damon to just get past that. I'm sorry, but what? So yeah, he's making it a point to sleep with Rebekah because if she can get past Esther trying to kill her, she can get past Rebekah trying to kill her too. "Can we just move pass that, Elena?" After all, that's basically what she wanted from him at the party. It's beyond hilarious to me that Elena suspects Damon is off vervain, that she believes Rebekah compelled him to sleep with her. It's because both Stefan and Elena pushed Damon into this "I don't care mode" that he pisses Elena off to the point she purposefully knocks into him and makes him spill his drink. They're insanely and hilariously in love, and it's fun to watch them be mad at each other.
Unlike Damon taking his time getting out of bed, Stefan is in a rush and trying to sneak out. He doesn't want Rebekah waking up and he certainly doesn't want to get caught by one of her siblings. He knows damn well that Elena would be pissed to find out he slept with her. Not jealous in the slightest. Elena is pure anger when she finds out. Stefan knows damn well that she never wanted to be a vampire because they had this conversation at the waterfall in season 2. He slept with the girl that actually killed Elena and turned her into a vampire, who tormented her at school while she struggled through transition, who laughed about how she killed Alaric when she killed her, who smeared blood in her face while Connor was looking for vampires at the school. That's what Stefan slept with.
What's hilarious about Stefan getting outed, is the fact that Damon isn't done outing him. That was just his first crack. Because Damon is reminded of his own sex with Rebekah, he decides to take advantage of the situation. He wants Elena to see Stefan, and I mean really see him. He's then outing Stefan for bleeding him dry in their cellar, which means he's outing Stefan for cutting into him, to actual torture. He continues pushing until Stefan does it lol... hes using the sire bond to insult Damon, which is insulting Elena at the same time. That's when I really start laughing. Stefan not only insults Elena, he actually thinks it's his place to tell her what SHE feels after he just got doing the very same thing when Rebekah had them held up at the high school. She flat-out admitted to sleeping with Damon because she's in love with him, and Stefan is repeating the same damn bs.
Damon pushed Stefan to straight-up reveal the cocky ripper douche that he is, and Stefan did it with his humanity on.

Light Through the Darkness: Chapter 72
Abigail wasn’t entirely sure how she made it back to her house. She wasn’t precisely aware of driving or walking, yet there she was, opening the door and calling for Cat.
“Midnight,” she whispered into the fluff around his neck, smiling as he purred. “I think midnight is more than enough time for someone to realize and correct their error, don’t you?” Holding him away from her, so she could see his face she nodded and let him down. “I need a bath.”
Releasing Cat to go about his business, Abigail was humming as she went to prepare a well deserved bubble bath. She didn’t notice her mother’s book flipping open and the writing becoming clearer.
Ric found Damon surrounded by broken glass in the darkness of the dining room and sighed.
“I’m guessing that you didn’t manage to calm Abi down,” arms crossed he watched as his friend stood up, looking shocked at whatever had happened that created the magnitude of disaster surrounding him. When his eyes flashed to meet Ric’s, he soothed whatever fear might have reared to the surface at the ungodly noise that hit whenever Abigail released her pent up irritation with the man standing before him. “John took Jenna home - I told her that the chandelier has been showing signs of disaster for a while.” And Andie was off to do whatever she did when she wasn’t having sexy playdates with Damon.
“She threatened me,” Damon was still wrapping his head around what Abi had said, in that voice that was hers but wasn’t, and he wasn’t sure what the hell to do. “She said I had until midnight to release him -”
“We can’t,” Ric shook his head, thinking that would be a fuck up of massive portions after Elijah’s veiled, yet fully understandable threats to everyone that had been at this farce of a dinner party. “He’ll kill -” huffing out a long breath and scrubbing a hand through his hair. “Everyone, Damon, he’ll kill all of us.”
“Would you rather we hurt Abigail?” Biting it out, cut him almost as deeply as her words had been to him. “Do you want to - or will it be up to me, Ric?” The idea of harming her, even after he knew he’d hurt her emotionally so many fucking times before, repulsed him. It reminded him of finding out Katherine was “gone” and he was in transition - Stefan telling him that they would be a family, the three of them - that he was a monster. “I may want to protect Elena to the very fucking end,” and a glance at Ric showed that he knew that he was telling the truth. “But I won’t hurt Abigail Morgan to do it. I won’t.”
Ric felt the same flash of pain at the idea of raising any type of hand to her as well, the idea made his stomach churn and twist. “Then what do we do?”
Abigail had just wrapped her towel around her body, once she had her hair contained in another, when the doorbell chimed. Considering the people who might show up for a late night visit, she’ decided it must be Ric since she felt certain Damon Salvatore would stay far away from her after the ultimatum she’d issued.
Another chime rang through her house and she chose to go directly to the door, since Ric was clearly too impatient for her to take the time to dress.
It wasn’t Ric. It wasn’t Damon, either. No, waiting on the other side of the door, visible through the glass cut into the wood, had her yanking open the door and pulling him inside as she whispered her invitation for him to cross the threshold.
And it no longer mattered that they hadn’t gotten the time to truly know one another. No hesitation rushed through her when her fingers slid through his hair and pulled his face closer to hers, and his own arms were wrapping around her as easily as if they’d been together for centuries. As his lips touched hers, and her mouth opened in a sigh that silently screamed “finally”, a fire that she’d never imagined possible raged through her and she hardly registered the front door slamming or the speed that he used to press her back against the wall closest to them.
Ripping his suit jacket from his shoulders forced him to pull away, which gave her more than enough time to rip open that beautiful blue shirt he’d worn to dinner. And then, as their lips met again, his hands slid down her body and parted her towel before they found her the back of her thighs and lifted her, smiling against her mouth as her arms wrapped around his shoulders and he carried her to the living room sofa.
“Are you sure?” He asked, pulling away and smiling at how her wet hair was free since they’d lost her second towel when he pressed her into the sofa cushions. “We can -”
Whatever he’d been trying to say died on his lips as her fingernail trailed down his chest and met her other hand at his belt. Clearly Abigail wanted what was clearly coming, and she was more than capable of taking care of the last offensive parts of his attire. Helping her by reaching behind them by sitting back and pulling his shoes and socks free, she followed up to sitting so she could nip at his collarbone while her fingers pulled his belt open and made quick work of the button and zipper on his slacks.
Pulling away to take off his pants and underwear, his eyes toured her bare body laying before him. And Abigail felt that fire flicker hotter even before he moved back over her, his hips cradled between her thighs. She didn’t spare a moment for how strange it was that this felt so right, not as he slipped inside of her, his hands cupping her face and their eyes locked, and not as they moved together as if they’d done the same a thousand times.
Damon was staring at the completely bare floor of the cellar and wondering how the fuck Elijah had just got up and walked out without him knowing it - and felt an odd sort of relief that he was gone. Abigail wouldn’t need to be disappointed - or angry - and he had to wonder how the hell he was going to balance her happiness with Elena’s safety.
Abi was cradled against Elijah’s chest, his fingers sliding through her hair as they lay on the sofa in the afterglow of something neither of them was expecting when their evening started.
“I didn’t actually come here to -” she propped her chin on his chest so she could meet his eyes and his free hand came up to cradle her cheek, his thumb tracing her lower lip as his own lips curled into a smile that made her knees weak. “I wanted to woo you, Abigail, to prove my worthiness for your regard.” So old fashioned, so perfect that it almost hurt her to hear. “You’re worth so much more.”
“If I hadn’t wanted what just happened,” kissing the pad of the same thumb that had tortured out more bliss from her body than she could contemplate, her own smile blossomed. “I couldn’t have held back if my life depended on it.”
He hadn’t bitten her, not even when she offered her neck and practically begged him to - he simply teased his teeth against her pulse and pressed deeper inside her, bringing her over without once tasting what she was more than willing to offer him.
“You didn’t taste me,” now that they were resting and not in the thick of lust and need, she wanted to know why. “I wanted you to.”
“We have the rest of our lives for me to know every single part of you, Abigail, and while I yearn to take and give everything we both can - waiting for that, for what could come from knowing how the blood in your veins tastes while it sings to me every moment you’re close -” he swallowed and Abi felt his once satisfied member stir under her. “I can wait.”
“What if I can’t?” Said with the perfect understanding of what would happen when he drank from her, with the same need building in her that was clearly building in him, their lips met and his growl vibrated through her.
The speed that Elijah could move with was faster than Damon had ever considered using with her - from the sofa to her bedroom they moved. Sitting so she was straddling his lap, his hands pulling her hair into a waterfall over one shoulder, his lips and nose were tracing down her jaw, licking at her skin as he ran down her neck to the throbbing vein that showed just how much she wanted him.
Abi moved, her hand wrapping around his shaft and lifting her hips, she moved until he was back where he belonged - inside of her. Her hand wrapped around his neck and she tilted her head farther, holding him to her skin while he fought against what they both so desperately wanted.
“Please,” she breathed, rolling her hips so she could feel how much she wanted everything from him. “Elijah, please.”
As her hips rolled against him like the tide, his fangs descended against her skin and she sighed as they finally pierced her skin and took what she so willingly offered.

elena gilbert & stefan salvatore for the chara meme ~
Stefan:
1: sexuality headcanon
definitely something under the bi umbrella
2: otp
caroline!!! .. like yeah, my brand lately has been klefan lol but I'm under no delusion that they could ever make an actual romantic relationship work. I simply think the dynamic is fascinating and they had so much untapped sexual tension it drives me crazy. that being said..... i wouldn't say no to romantic or nohumanity! klefaroline, who I think might be able to balance each other out? I'd be interested in seeing it explored at least (more than in my smut oneshot and wip)
3: brotp
Lexi!!! no contest
4: notp
steferine. i think the way their beginning parallels daroline so much upon my rewatch ruined it for me. if the genders had been reversed for steferine I genuinely don't think it would be as romanticized as it is? there's a lot of complexity I'm glossing over right now for the sake of a short answer but that's the tldr lol
5: first headcanon that pops into my head
he and klaus had sex in the 20s lol
6: favorite line from this character
per my OTP tag: "Not that you couldn't do it, that you wouldn't. Because that's what makes you you"
7: one way in which I relate to this character
oof, I mean to keep it light? brown hair green eyes? caroline's personality never bothered me? if we're being serious? the struggle of addiction
8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character
the fact he acted surprised caroline had feelings for him
9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?
lol problematic, and more than the murder. his enabling of damon, mainly, but also the darker side to st*lena
Elena
1: sexuality headcanon
I'd say demiromantic (stefan being doppelganger curse related rather than exception) and also under the bi umbrella. per transition I'd consider her a kinsey 1.5, afterwards a kinsey 3? vampirism heightens everything after all lol and her relationship with rebekah got significantly gayer
2: otp
i was literally talking to @laufire about this last night lol. i honestly don't particularly ship her with anyone romantically for many reasons, but the closest I'd say would either be Elijah or Rebekah. If their dynamic wasn't so damaging to her emotional/physical/mental well-being I would have said Bonnie.
3: brotp
hmmm, I mean. I think Stefan after s5 maybe? pre-s5 I like to think her dynamic with Tyler is the most interesting
4: notp
stelena/delena
5: first headcanon that pops into my head
the way she grows into vampirism is distinctly affected by her having been the "good human form" of Katherine's "evil favor" and her identity as doppelganger
6: favorite line from this character
right now because of my personal life: "People are going to stop giving you breaks, Jeremy. They just don’t care anymore. They don’t remember that our parents are dead; they have their own lives to deal with. The rest of the world has moved on.”
7: one way in which I relate to this character
grief
8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character
the way she slut shamed a r*pe victim
9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?
problematic for sure, but like. I get it.

Thomas and Friends: Legends of Sodor (Story 77): The Arrival of Slender Engine (Halloween Special)
Scene opens one day, Halloween day, at Tidmouth Roundhouse Sheds, all the 12 engines of the Steam 13 were prepared to have costumes on
Narrator: Halloween has came to the Island of Sodor, and the engines were getting for the big night
Scene shows the 12 Engines donning costumes (Thomas as Optimus Prime, Edward as Doctor Strange, Henry as Frankenstein, Gordon as Superman, James as Dracula (Again), Percy as a Leprechaun (Again), Emily as Elita-One, Molly as Sailor Moon, Rosie as Applejack, Stanley as a Spaceman, Nia as Elena from Street Fighter, and Rebecca as a Banana)
Thomas: I can’t believe we are spending Halloween all together, and for the First time, all of us
Rosie: I know right, it’s surprising that last year was a disaster thanks to the Ghost Engine
Henry: Yeah, and neither Gordon and I got to participate
Stanley: Well now, that’s about to change
Thomas: Because all of us are together!
Toby: Indeed! *puffs in, dressed up as a Scarecrow again*
Emily: Again with the costume Toby?
Toby: What? It suits me well
Thomas: Anyways, I hope our costumes will surprise everyone
Soon, Sir Topham Hatt came, he was dressed up as a Clown
STH: Indeed
Thomas: Sir! Your dressed like a clown
James: I guess we should call you Sir Topham Clown! *chuckled*
STH: Really funny James
Edward: Ahem!
STH: Oh right! So, a few nights ago, Edward took a group of Paranormal Experts to Henry’s Forest, one of them has recorded the Slender Engine
Henry: The Slender Engine? But sir, I dealt with him nearly a month ago
STH: Indeed Henry, but it won’t leave the Island, and pushing him into the water with cars won’t stop it
Henry: Aaaw
STH: So, with Halloween Traditions like Costumes, Candy, and Jack-O Lanterns, I think you all should be safe
Nia: Yes, although this is my first time experiencing Halloween on Sodor
Rebecca: So, let’s all have a good time
Scene transitions to the Steam 13 all puffing down the line as the sun begins to set
Narrator: That evening, the Steam 13 all puff down the line, as night was approaching
Stanley: Well, looks like every Station has a Jack-O Lantern all set up
Gordon: Hmm, yes
Thomas: So let’s talk about everything that happened with all of you before all this, name something that happened
Henry: Well, after my first encounter with the Slender Engine, Old Man Burton has one wish and it was for the Big Dipper Viaduct to be repaired, and his wish was granted
Molly: I was taking the mail until I accidentally crashed into an old Coal Mine, and it was an accidental discovery
James: I thought there was a Marsh Monster, but it turns out to be Richard, the new engine
Percy: I came across some clowns that were going to perform at the circus
Nia: From what I heard from the Narrow Gauge engines, Smudger encountered the Ghost of Proteus
Edward: And Jock told me that Mike thought he saw the Phantom of Arlesdale, but it turns out to be an Actor
Gordon: And, I was once given an old Branchline Coach, but Jinty and Pug didn’t tell me it was haunted
Thomas: *chuckled* You, pulling a Branchline Coach Gordon? That’s hilarious! You should run on my Branchline!
Gordon: Oh the indignity!
Emily: Don’t forget Thomas, I got you and Percy good with a trick of mine
Thomas: Yeah you did
Scene transitions to the Steam 13 arriving at Knapford Station, as Night finally arrived and the party was on
Narrator: Later that night, the Steam 13 came to Knapford
Thomas: Wooooow, look at this
Rosie: It’s decorated so nicely
Paxton: *dressed as Shrek* Hey Steam 13, Happy Halloween!
Percy: You too Paxton, who are you supposed to be?
Paxton: Why I’m an ogre
Philip: *oiled in dressed as Shingo Yabuki* Hey big sister Molly, Happy Halloween!
Molly: You too Philip, where’s BoCo?
BoCo: *oiled in dressed as Yoda* Right here Molly!
Molly: My, those are some good costumes
BoCo: Thank you Molly
Edward: Well, it’s good to dress as someone wise
BoCo: Indeed Edward
Soon, other engines came in Costumes (Donald and Douglas as Scotsmen, Arthur as a Fisherman, Diesel as Batman, Mavis as Wednesday Addams, Sonny as Steve from Minecraft, Sidney as Popeye the Sailor, Billy and Charlie as Clowns, Hank as a Cowboy, Oliver and Duck as Sherlock Holmes and Watson, Daisy as Roxanne Wolf, Ryan as Hero from Dragon Quest, Whiff as Toxie, Diesel 10 as Shao Kahn, and Belle as a Gymnast) and arrive at Knapford
Gordon: I say Belle, you look good
Belle: Thanks Gordon, or should I say, Super Gordon
Gordon: Oh ho ho!
Whiff: So are we ready to celebrate Halloween?
Sidney: It’s Halloween night
Philip: And we are out Trick or Treating
Edward: Now hold on everyone! We may celebrate Halloween, but we have to be on the lookout
Philip: For what?
Edward: The Slender Engine
The engines were confused
Diesel 10: Oh my, looks like Edward is trying to scare us with one of those fairytales
Edward: Believe me, it’s the truth! A few nights ago, when I was taking the Paranormal Experts to Henry’s Forest, one of them captured footage of The Slender Engine
BoCo: I believe you Edward, as long as that Expert has gotten evidence
Thomas: Yeah, and there’s no way that the Slender Engine will get us
Emily: Besides, it can’t break Halloween Tradition like Jack-O Lanterns and Costumes
Suddenly, a powerful Supernatural Wind blew strong, blowing away the costumes and ultimately blowing out the Jack-O Lanterns
Gordon: Uh oh!
Suddenly, the Slender Engine appeared and Jumpscare everyone
Diesel 10: Quick! Everybody run!
Soon, all the engines began to panic and flee, all of them were fortunate to escape
Thomas: Quickly!
Scene cuts to Thomas, Percy, Emily, Rosie, and Stanley all puffing into Ffarquhar Sidings
Thomas: That was close!
Emily: Thomas, I’m scared!
Percy: The Slender Engine is scaring everyone!
Rosie: And we got separate from the Steam 13!
Stanley: We must go back for Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Toby, Molly, Nia, and Rebecca!
Thomas: I’m sure they made it to safety!
Scene cuts to Edward, Molly, Philip, and BoCo all reaching safety at Wellsworth, as well as others like Gordon, James, Henry, Hank, Belle, and Daisy arriving at Vicarstown for Safety
Narrator: And Thomas was right
Scene cuts back to Ffarquhar, as the 5 engines were trapped
Rosie: Toby, Mavis, Sidney, and Sonny are still out there! I got to bring them here! *attempts to puff off*
Thomas: No Rosie wait!
Suddenly, fire ignites around the field, causing Rosie to stop and puff backwards
Rosie: Whoa!
Emily: Told you!
Percy: Heeeelp! We’re trapped!
Suddenly, the Slender Engine appeared in front of the 5 Ffarquhar Engines
Stanley: Oh no! It found us!
Emily: I guess this is it
Thomas: If it takes us, then we all go together
The 5 engines shut their eyes as the Slender Engine approach them, until
Lady: *appears as a Golden Illusion Spirit* Not today!
Thomas: Lady?
The Slender Engine sees Lady
Lady: Stand down, or face justice from Lady
Proteus: *appears next to Lady* And Proteus!
Thomas: Cinders and Ashes! I don’t believe it! Lady and Proteus came from the Spirit Realm to help us!
Lady and Proteus: Now then, to make you disappear forever!
Both Spirit Engines perform a Golden and Magical Beam to make the Slender Engine vanish once and for all, and thus, the Slender Engine was no more
Thomas: Lady, Proteus, I don’t know what to say.. Thank you
Lady: Your welcome Thomas, it’s nice to see you and your friends again
Proteus: And I heard that those on the Skarloey Railway kept my Legacy going, including my old friends from the Mid Sodor Days
Percy: Mid Sodor?
Thomas: Yeah, Proteus is one of the Mid Sodor Engines along with Duke, Bertram, Freddie, and Smudger
Proteus: Indeed!
Lady: And now, to cleanse tonight to the next day
Lady and Proteus float up to the sky and unleash the Golden and Magical Steam Cloud to cleanse the night away
Lady and Proteus: Come, and cleanse the night!
Soon, the Steam Cloud vanished into a White Cloud Transition to November 1st
Narrator; The next day, on November
Scene cuts to Tidmouth Roundhouse Shed, as the 12 Engines were in and slowly waking up
Molly: What? What happened?
Nia: It’s like we don’t remember a thing at all
Rebecca: We were out in Costumes, did we have a fun party?
Edward: Seems like it
James: What day is it?
Thomas: Why it’s November 1st
Gordon: November 1st? Then we have to get to work!
Soon, the 11 engines hurry off to their jobs, as Thomas began to puff out of the shed, until
Lady: Thomas
Proteus: Up here
Thomas looks up and sees the Spirits of Lady and Proteus, smiling
Thomas: Thanks you two
Edward: Are you coming along Thomas?
Thomas: Oh, right! Coming! *puffs off*
Lady: Our work here is down
Lady and Proteus return to the Spirit Realm, as the camera pans into a Calendar, which has November set
Scene cuts to black
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I hope you all enjoyed this years Halloween Special, stay tune for more stories coming soon this November

Not About You - 39
Tumblr media
Pairing: Damon Salvatore x ofc
Lucy stood on the balcony outside the master bedroom of the beach house Elijah had given them the keys for two weeks ago. Her thumb ran along the band of the ring which now sat permanently on the middle finger of her right hand as she watched the sun come up. He’d apparently had a daylight ring prepared and ready for her for several years just in case.
Damon had warmed some bagged blood in a mug for her to complete her transition, then they’d packed their bags and left town with Stefan and Caroline in tow. In order to make it an actual break from Mystic Falls drama, they’d all turned off their phones and hadn’t told anyone where they were going. Elijah could get ahold of them if there was an emergency.
Every day they trained until Lucy could compel and run with the best of them. Most importantly, she could sit in a diner filled with people and not want to eat anything not on the menu. She knew they should be thinking about going home, but she really didn’t want to leave. It was like their own little piece of paradise.
Arms wrapping around her from behind, pulled her from her thoughts. Damon tugged her back to lean against his chest. He nuzzled the curve of her neck and kissed along her throat. Her eyes fluttered closed and she groaned at the feel of his lips against her skin. Her favorite lessons had been Damon teaching her about her incredibly heightened senses every night in their bed. His every touch had her skin tingling, her nerves dancing. When they weren’t spending time with the others, they hardly crawled out from between the silk sheets.
"When do you want to head home?" Damon asked as he locked his arms around her.
Lucy scrunched her nose. "Never. Is never an option?"
He chuckled and the low sound made her smile in response. "We can stay as long as Elijah will let us. We should probably at least think about turning our phones back on though. At least long enough to make sure the town didn’t burn down while we were gone."
She turned in his arms to lightly kiss his lips. "Deal."
They headed back inside and Damon stuck his head out the door to tell his brother the plan. Lucy sat on the side of the bed as she fished their phones out of the drawer of her nightstand. She tossed Damon's to him and waited impatiently through all the dings and vibrations as her phone booted up. Once it finished, she scrolled through her messages, ignoring most of them.
One from an unknown number caught her eye. It's time to pay your debts.
A jolt of fear stabbed through her. There was no one it could be other than Klaus. She flicked back through her other texts and missed calls and frowned. Nothing from Elijah. Surely he would have warned her his brother was in town. Maybe he didn't know yet?
Her thoughts were interrupted by Stefan’s worried voice as he stepped into their room, Caroline at his side. "We have a problem. Multiple problems actually."
Caroline tapped on the screen of her phone and Elena’s voice filled the room. “Hey Care. Listen, we could really use your help. We have a plan to get Elijah out of the way but the more people to help the better. I know you’ll say you don’t want to hurt Lucy but they’re going to kill me Caroline. I’m more important than some girl’s feelings you barely know. Call me.”
Lucy rolled her eyes before looking from the phone to Damon. He shook his head to tell her he had no idea what they could be up to either.
The next message was worse than the first. “I don’t know why you aren’t responding to any of my messages but I just thought you’d like to know we took care of Elijah without your help. Thanks for that. He’s stashed away where no one will find him, not even your precious Lucy.”
Silence stretched until Lucy broke it. “She better hope she’s wrong or she’s going to die screaming.”
***
Caroline immediately called Elena and made nice claiming her and Stefan had left for a little cellphone-free vacation. It wasn’t even a lie really. After she convinced her sort of friend that they had no idea where Lucy or Damon were, Elena filled Care in on everything that had happened while they’d been gone. Care relayed everything she’d been told to the others while they made their way home.
"Let me get this straight," Lucy said as she turned in her seat to look at Care and Stefan in the back, “Alaric and John stabbed Elijah with some sort of dagger that kills him for all intents and purposes and are keeping him in Elena’s basement. They set Luka Martin, who is a teenager might I remind you, on fire and killed him when he tried to rescue Elijah. Then Jonas attacked everyone in retaliation and they killed him, too? Oh, and Katherine is who knows where because Elena thought she would be helpful and once they released her, she disappeared?”
Caroline nodded with a grimace. "That about sums it up, yeah."
Lucy raked a hand through her hair and sighed. “We left town for two weeks. Two.”
Damon chuckled and reached over to squeeze her hand. “To be fair, Elijah told us he could handle it.”
“Well, he did a bang up job of that. And, also, why do I get in trouble when I talk about killing teenagers and they actually get to do it? Not fair.”
“Lucy,” Caroline chastised though there was a hint of laughter in her voice.
They spent the rest of the drive coming up with a plan to rescue the damsel in distress from the dragon. Or Elijah from Elena. Whatever.
***
Lucy and Damon hid near Elena’s house, waiting for everyone to leave. As far as everyone knew the two of them were still MIA. Stefan had called a meeting of the Cult of Elena at their house wanting to contribute what he could to help save ‘Caroline’s dearest friend’. Lucy did feel a bit bad that Caroline would most likely be losing most of her friends after they discovered the truth. But the bubbly blonde would still have Lucy. She’d always have Lucy.
Once the Gilberts and assorted others had left the house, Lucy and Damon waited several minutes to make certain they weren’t coming back before they approached. As she hadn’t been invited in, Lucy was forced to wait on the front porch while Damon busted the lock and let himself in.
It didn’t take him long to find the Original laying on the cement floor. Damon grimaced at the condition of the other man, suddenly glad that Lucy hadn’t been able to accompany him inside. Elijah looked horrible, dead and a little crispy. Who knew what her reaction would be to seeing him like that.
Damon crouched down and pulled the blade from Elijah’s chest before setting it aside. There was no immediate change and Damon wondered how long the recovery would take. Stefan was prepared to distract until he got a message from one of them, but the quicker they were out of here, the better.
Several minutes passed and Damon was considering just carrying the Original out when Elijah’s eyes flew open. He sucked in a sharp breath as his eyes darted around until they found his rescuer. “Damon.”
The Salvatore nodded once. “At your service.” He wanted to rush this but knew Elijah needed a moment to recover.
He licked his lips. “What happened? Where is Lucy?”
“Lucy’s fine. She’s waiting outside as she hasn’t been invited. You’re in Elena’s basement. Ringing any bells?”
He hissed in irritation as the confusion left his eyes. “John Gilbert. Though I am uncertain how he obtained a dagger in the first place. I believed them all in my brother’s possession.”
Damon pursed his lips in thought. “He’s connected to Katherine.”
“Katerina. She’s becoming more trouble than she’s worth.”
“Always has been. Speaking of, she’s missing. The teenagers also killed your witches. Sorry.” He stood and held out a hand to help Elijah up.
Once on his feet he did his best to set himself to rights with little success.
Damon picked up the dagger and held it out. “I believe this is yours.”
"Thank you," Elijah answered with a nod and they sped up the stairs. As soon as he left the house, he found himself wrapped in Lucy’s arms. He breathed a sigh of relief as some of the tension flowed from his shoulders. “Hello, little one.”
“You’re shit at handling things while we go out of town. Next time you come with.”
He smirked as he took a step back. “Fair enough. Let’s go. I am in desperate need of a shower and a drink.”
She laced their hands together as Damon pulled up in the car he’d ran to get from down the street. “There are blood bags in the backseat for you.”
He kissed her temple before climbing in the back. When she motioned for him to move over he did so with little more than an arched brow, his teeth already buried in one of the bags. Once Damon had pulled away from the curb, she slid out her phone to show Elijah a message.
It’s time to pay your debts.
Elijah’s gaze locked on hers heavy with worry and concern. Klaus was in town and there was no way of knowing how long he had been here or the chaos he’d managed to sow in their absence.

elena penelope sloan was born in new york city on march 4th to people who really weren’t ever meant to be parents. her father had an affair with her mother which ended up ruining his marriage, which didn’t bode well for either of them. her mother was cold and callous while the young girl was growing up and was never really much of a mother figure. her father really wanted nothing to do with having another child, but tried what was his best at being a father. living with her parents got worse as she got older and she moved out as soon as she could. when she was a teenager, elena knew that she really wasn’t wanted at home so she spent most nights at her girlfriend’s kate’s house.
senior year of high school elena and her girlfriend kate got hit by a drunk driver. elena ended up with a broken leg and arm, but kate wasn’t so lucky. by the time the firefighters and paramedics had gotten her out of the car and to the hospital they found a bleed in her brain. they rushed her into surgery, but in the end the bleed was too much and she ended up stroking out on the table. between the car accident, losing the one person who cared about her elena had a hard time finishing her senior year. she had nightmares reliving the crash, extreme anxiety while trying to get in the car and drive to school or anywhere. she started seeing a therapist who helped her get through everyday and learn that what she was feeling was normal.
moving out of new york was one of the hardest things elena did since it was the last reminder she had of kate, but she couldn’t stay close to her parents. she packed her bags and moved to boston. college came and went without any difficulties except dealing with trying to keep her head on straight and push through all the nightmares. once she graduated from boston university, elena got accepted to harvard medical school and couldn’t wait to pursue her career in medicine even further. after graduating from medical school, elena accepted a residency position at new york presbyterian hospital. it was far enough away from her parents house and she was back in her home state where she loved being. during her second year of residency is when she met her future husband lucas james. things slowly blossomed between the two of them over the course of a few months and then they got engaged.
six months later they had a small wedding with his family and a few friends. elena didn’t invite her parents because she knew they wouldn’t approve. the brunette was finally happy and everything seemed to be going smoothly. her last year of residency she was elected chief resident which was a big success for her. Her transition from chief resident to becoming an attending trauma surgeon went smoothly as she was offered a position in the trauma department for her fellowship. a few months later, elena found out she was pregnant with twins, they couldn’t have been more overjoyed.
after elena’s father passed away and she was cleaning out his atttic, elena found out she had a half brother. she was very upset that nobody had informed her of this earlier in her life and sought out where her brother lived. after meeting mark, they were both shocked about the fact they had never bumped into each other but slowly started a brother/sister relationship. a few years after elena and mark met, elena and lucas ended up getting divorced. elena ended up getting a job offer from the chief of surgery at seattle grace and it was too good to pass up, so she packed up the twins and all her things and moved to seattle years ago. now, she and the twins call seattle home and she couldn’t be happier.

I think I’m ready to share some of my musings regarding my OCs. Here goes nothing!
Carmen is a woman who befits the “always a bridesmaid never a bride” saying. She’s the one that’s usually left alone in a group of friends. When it comes to romance, she seems to have the worst luck: no one ever considers her. Even as a child, she wasn’t given much attention, as she was not as spectacular and smart as the other girls in school were, which disappointed her mother. Carmen was also very shy and introverted, it seems she’s naturally always been this way, and Carmen’s mother always wished she was different. She longs to be heard. She’s never heard. All she wants is for someone to sit down and listen to her speak for once, but this never seems to happen. Any time she tries to communicate and reach out to people she wants to form friendships with, she feels as though she is shut down, as if they are uninterested in anything she has to say. As if she’s there because perhaps someone had an idea of her that made her seem more interesting to them, but the more she spoke the more she shattered this reality, and thus the less interested they were in the real her. And oh how she wishes someone could love her for the real her! She knows she can be annoying at times, or that her general sadness can be off putting to many. But she wishes someone would love her - truly love her - the bad parts of her as much as they love the good parts about her. And she wants to be like other girls. She feels so different from other girls. She never feels as pretty as the girls she sees. She often wonders what went wrong when God was making her, what about her makes her seem so undesirable when compared to other women. As she starts to grow older towards her 30’s, she starts to worry that she’s lost goods, that she won’t ever achieve her dreams, that she won’t ever find love, that she’s too old to have dreams of being a princess living a dream. She was always worried that she wouldn’t transition well into adulthood, and now it seems her suspicions are coming true…
When she first meets her partner, Jolene/Elena, she’s not fond of her much. To be quite frank, Elena comes across as an asshole to her, this woman that wants to make things bad for Carmen just when things are looking up (sorry I haven’t revealed this part of the story yet!) but as time goes on, Carmen finds herself warming up to Elena. And she notices something, something she previously thought was too good to be true. Elena listens. Whenever Carmen speaks about her opinions and her feelings, Elena doesn’t shut her down. She stays and listens and even offers feedback. She is always there for Carmen. It seems like whenever she’s feeling down, Elena is right there to help her feel a bit better. And Elena appreciates her for who she is. Carmen could cry a whole night and Elena doesn’t run away or think less of her for it. Carmen didn’t know that true love could exist in this way, pure and good. She always thought she would have to settle. Elena proves she never had to; she proves that Carmen was enough all along. She proves to Carmen that Carmen didn’t have to be someone extraordinary in order to do extraordinary things. She can be ordinary and still be and do extraordinary things.
When I first wrote about Carmen, I was a very lonely person in a very lonely place. I wanted to write about my own loneliness and I wanted to offer myself some form of hope. I wanted to write about love I hoped I would get to experience someday, a love that I think we all want to have and deserve in life. I wanted this story to feel like a warm hug after a long cry. I hope that it is able to bring other people who also feel lonely and unlovable and un special some form of comfort ❤️
