"Herring"

A herring swimming sweetly in the ether is conjured up as an image of rest and sleep in Cassiopeia's sleepless voice. Herrings live in shoals, they are often used in gastronomy, production of oil and fishmeal.

In literature, if it is red it means that a false foreshadowing has been inserted.

In Rosicrucianism, miraculous herrings communicated. Johann Faulhaber attempts to describe the significance of miraculous herrings in his "Vernünfftiger Creaturen Weissagungen" (1632), from the miraculous numbers of the books of Daniel and Revelation.

"Arenque"

Um arenque nadando docemente no éter é evocado como uma imagem de descanso e sonho na voz insone de Cassiopeia. Arenques vivem em cardumes, são muito usados na gastronomia, produção de óleo e farinha de peixe.

Na literatura, se ele for vermelho significa que uma pista falsa foi plantada.

No rosacrucianismo, arenques milagrosos se comunicavam. Johann Faulhaber tenta descrever o significado de arenques milagrosos em seu "Vernünfftiger Creaturen Weissagungen" (1632), a partir dos números milagrosos dos livros de Daniel e Apocalipse.

"a low flying turkey"

They usually walk, but they can fly. Native to North America, they were introduced into European cuisine as a celebration dish, a custom later followed by the Americas. In Newsom's work, it is mentioned only once in "Cassiopeia", and its low flight is a metaphor for the heat of a hexe mattress covertly, which in turn is one of the causes of the lyrical subject sleeplessness.

In the same stanza, there are references to Texan meat, seeming to reaffirm the gastronomic character of the bird. It seems to be a hungry insomnia.

"Um peru voando baixo"

Normalmente andam, mas podem voar. Nativos do América do Norte, foram introduzidos na culinária europeia como prato comemorativo, costume seguido posteriormente nas Américas. Na obra de Newsom, é citado uma única vez em "Cassiopeia", e seu vôo raso é uma metáfora para o calor do seu colchão encoberto com formas hexagonais, que por sua vez é uma das causas da insônia do eu-lírico.

Na mesma estrofe, há referências à uma carne texana, parecendo reafirmar o caráter gastronômico da ave. Parece ser uma insônia faminta.
