My favorite menu items that I tried from Jollibee:
Before I tried Jollibee in my country last year, I did some research about the restaurant on Wikipedia by finding out what foods they have on the menu compared to the Philippines.
Without further ado, let's get started!
Jolly Sweet Spaghetti: This is one of my go-to menu items whenever I get stressed out. When I ordered the Jolly Sweet Spaghetti from their menu, I wanted to know what it tasted like compared to Filipino traditional spaghetti.
When my food arrived, I wanted to know what this dish tasted like compared to the Filipino version of Jolly Spaghetti. This meal was topped with sweet banana ketchup, savory tomato sauce, red beef hotdogs, and cheddar cheese. As for the spaghetti, it was perfectly al-dente, and the pasta did not get soggy when it came with the set.
Overall, the Malaysian version of the sweet-style spaghetti is better than the other restaurant's version of spaghetti in the Philippines which the sauce has a not-so-sweet taste and the sausages are not as flavorful as the beef and pork-flavored sausages.
Tumblr media
Peach Mango Pie:
One of my favorite snacks from Jollibee is this sweet hot filling of Filipino mangoes with peach slices in this deep-fried pastry which makes it a tasty treat right after a meal.
I used to dislike mangoes back in my middle school years. However, when I started to buy the dried version of mangoes, it tasted sweet and not too sour for my liking.
As I got older, I started to like mangoes and they had a gummy-like texture with sugar that had a sweet crunch.
The blended mango filling in the pie was sweet and not too sour. As for the bits of peach, it was delicious when mixed together and put in a pie. I love this hot dessert and when I go to Bukit Bintang, I would eat it again when the final exams are over.
Tumblr media
Fiesta Floats:
Did you know that they had a different type of Fiesta Floats topped with a perfect swirl of Vanilla ice cream that encouraged buyers to try a summer treat in the Philippines back in the 2010s?
Unfortunately, you can only find these three types of floats here in Malaysia. While in the Philippines, it's popular among Filipinos who want to get a refreshing drink during the summer break.
Two months ago, after New Year's Day, I wanted to order one of the Fiesta Floats at the kiosk in Sunway Pyramid as a refreshing drink for myself due to us getting lost in the mall. But I saw that the drinks were sold out due to a shortage of ingredients.
A week later, after the tour of the B-Verse Beyond the Stars Exhibition, I went to another restaurant in Pavilion Bukit Jaili where I saw that all of the Floats were available on their menu.
I was delighted that they still serve the drink to everyone who wants to buy it. I ordered a Chocolate Float for me to try it out. However, it does not look the same as the one in the picture, but the staff members did their best to make a perfect swirl of vanilla ice cream.
The chocolate drink wasn't sweet, and I could only taste the chocolate inside the milk that had an okay taste as I drank a sip. As for the vanilla ice cream swirl, it wasn't that bad for my liking as seen in the commercial on Facebook. Next time if the drink is not sweet, I will tell the manager to add more chocolate milk for the drink.
Tumblr media
Overall, I could suggest to the locals who want to try out these foods from this Filipino fast-food restaurant in Malaysia. As for the Philippines, it is not recommended to Muslims as some of the products are not permissible for them to eat.
If I have time, I could bring one of my friends to try this restaurant out for a treat after class to explore what fast food spaghetti tastes like compared to other kinds of pasta in restaurants.

Note
2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 21, 23, 48, 57, 65, 68, 87, 88 for random asks 😎😜
2. chocolate bars or lollipops?
Hmm… I’m actually not much of a chocolate person. I like the taste, cacao in my coffee, for example. But I can’t eat large amounts of pure chocolate, it just makes my mouth feel so dry and weird. But I don’t eat lollipops, either. They take too long, I rarely have that much time to indulge in sweets. What I really like are gummies. 😁
3. bubblegum or cotton candy?
Bubblegum for sure.
4. how did your elementary school teachers describe you?
I wondered about this question. Do people like… get such evaluations in elementary school? Do teachers tell what they think of the pupils? Because, here, they don’t.
All I can do is guess. So I assume that they would have described me as… Quiet? Shy? Withdrawn? Smart? Diligent? Helpful?
But honestly, I have no idea...
5. do you prefer to drink soda from soda cans, soda bottles, plastic cups or glass cups?
Vocabulary confusion… Soda being sparkly water or lemonade? I don’t really drink water at all. I know that it’s probably entirely psychological, but every time I drink pure water (sparkly or not), my stomach starts protesting. Either way, the answer would be glass cups. Unless it’s coffee or a hot chocolate, for which I have my mugs, I always use glass cups.
7. earbuds or headphones?
Earbuds.
8. movies or tv shows?
TV shows, mostly. I like how there’s more room to develop character and story arcs, and how the episodes are shorter so I can stop whenever I need to.
21. obsession from childhood?
Huh… I had many. But overall, the fantastical. Supernatural creatures, mostly dragons. Fantasy stories, stories that pull me out of reality and let me dream of something else. The idea that there’s more to the world, things we can’t see or understand (yet).
23. strange habits?
Just being me counts as strange, if you ask my kids. 🤣
48. if you were a fruit, what kind would you be?
… What kind of questions are these? 🤣🤣🤣 Erm…  Okay, I actually just did THREE tests like “What kind of fruit are you?”. One said raspberry, one cherry, and the third said grape. I don’t feel like either of these options fits, though. A kiwi, maybe? I don’t look like much from the outside, not appealing but rather a little repellent. Once you got past that outer layer, though? I can be all kinds of things. Sweet, sour, juicy, fun, interesting.
57. the three biggest struggles you’ve overcome?
My insecurities as a child. Early school life was no fun for me. But at one point, and I remember the exact moment until this day, I decided that I don’t care about how others see me anymore. I do what I enjoy and like and stop trying to fit in. Life became so much better after that.
The same but in a different situation. I stopped trying to do what my ‘friend’ wanted and took hold of my own happiness. She never cared about my wishes or what made me happy and only treated me like her pet, something only there for her own amusement but only when she wanted it. Letting go of that friendship was hard, but necessary.
The need to be perfect. I won’t ever be the perfect housewife, won’t ever have a spotless and flawless home, with everything always clinically clean and orderly. I won’t ever be a perfect cook, with new, interesting, nutritious, inexpensive, tasty meals every day. I can’t be ONLY a mother 24/7, but need breaks in-between to be myself. All these expectations before were unrealistic anyway, build by advertisements and movies and society. But it took me a while to learn and accept that. That being myself is good enough.
65. any permanent scars?
Haha, yes. Stretchmarks from pregnancies and a scar from a c-section. But the funniest is on my arm. It’s just a small white line, 1,5 cm long.
When I was a teenager, we had a rabbit as pet. He was a little crazy sometimes. One day, he freely hobbled around in our flat. I was lying on the floor and watching TV with the rest of my family. Then, from one second to the other, the rabbit began to roar. Have you ever heard a rabbit ‘roar’? It sounds like… like my stomach when I’m hungry, only less threatening. 🤣 Then he proceeded to charge at me. And bit me in the arm. But because we had a wooden floor at that spot, he lost purchase and slid away, his teeth cutting that line into my arm. It didn’t even hurt or bleed much. It was just so damn funny! Until this day, we have no idea what set him off, before and after, he was absolutely peaceful.
68. worst flavor of any food or drink you’ve ever tried?
Uhm… does marzipan count? To me, that taste is disgusting. *shudders*
87. your greatest fear?
That something happens to my children.
Aside from that, I hate deep water. I can’t even watch sea life documentaries.
88. your greatest wish?
Just to live my life without regrets and big drama, to be honest. 😅
--
Thank you 😊💜

DirkHalDave - Party Tricksters
Not a request today, but a commission! A friend wanted Dirk getting tag-teamed by some snack-happy tricksters, and I aim to deliver. Let me know what you think!
Knock-knock-knock.
Dirk gritted his teeth tighter, focusing with even more intent on the project in front of him. He was in a good groove, edging into hour five of his work session, so whoever wanted his company would just have to wait their turn. If they were someone he wanted to see anyway, they’d know to message him before coming anyway.
And yet.
Knock-knock-knock-knock-knock.
The gaps between knockings were growing shorter, the intensity of the impact growing. Even if Dirk could continue to ignore it, he ran the risk of his visitor knocking his door down if they continued. With a quiet groan, he forced his knees to unbend, rising to his feet and trudging to answer the insistent knocking – and arriving a moment before the lock snapped off its frame, causing the door to swing inward and narrowly miss his nose.
“I’ve got to say, literally knocking down my door is a new brand of bullshit, man.” Dirk groused, still blinking off alarm from the forced entry.
“Haha, sorry, man!” The voice was familiar in tone, and alien in every other way. Dirk took a shocked step back as Dave floated through the door, giddiness dripping off his every move almost as much as chocolate dripped off the dipped strawberries perched in his vibrant green hair. His short cape blew in its own wind as he fidgeted in mid-air, a dangerous grin plastered to his face. “You were just taking so long, we didn’t want to run out of time for the party!”
Dirk didn’t even have time to question ‘we’ before the answer became clear, and Hal of all people traipsed in through the still-open door. “You were taking a long time, Dirk. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were something less than sugar-tastically stoked for the celebration.”
Well, at least Hal being in on this explained why he hadn’t warned Dirk about his uninvited guests, even if the rock candy microchip on his head and the garishly trickster-coloured suspenders and tie he wore invited more questions than it answered.
“Alright, who the fuck thought unburying the hell-candy from wherever we shoved it after last time was a good idea?” When that only got a light giggle from Dave and an incrementally wider smile from Hal, he tacked on, “and how does it even work on you, I didn’t give you tastebuds! Or a goddamn stomach!”
“Aw, come on, it’s not a crime to want some fun!” Dave floated closer, seemingly allergic to touching the ground as he curved himself loosely around Dirk, getting a glob of chocolate on his shirt in the process.
“And you’d be surprised what, pardon the word, miracles a juju like that can weave. Who needs tastebuds when it’s so obvious it’ll taste scrumptious?” At least Hal had the wherewithal to close the door behind him. “Of course, then we realised it’d be downright mean to exclude you from the oodles of fun we wanted to have, so we came right over.”
“Yeah! So now it’s party time! You don’t mind hosting, right bro? It’ll be soooooo much fun!” Heart-shaped shades hovered an inch from Dirk’s own glasses, not quite tinted enough to hide the wide, almost manic red eyes behind them.
Dirk wanted to say no. He wanted more than anything to say no. “Sure,” his mouth said, knowing better than to refuse a trickster. “Just don’t make a mess of the place or anything.”
“Of course not.” Hal scoffed, as if his companion hadn’t just forced open Dirk’s door. “We’ll be superbly civil, I promise. Heck, you might not even notice we’re-.”
“Party!” Dave cheered, instantly flying further into the apartment. “Hal, c’mon and help me, you know there’s no party without food!”
“Right!” Hal’s train of thought was abandoned immediately at the suggestion, the android nearly giving Dirk whiplash as he flashed past to accompany Dave. Soon the two were enthusiastically emptying their sylladexes, dumping a hellish variety of party foods across Dirk’s kitchen counter, his workstation, his coffee table, and just across the floor once everything else was covered. There were bags of chips and party-sized soda bottles, alongside massive bowls full of chocolate-covered strawberries and rich, already-melting cakes. The overall impression was that someone had googled ‘party foods’ and just bought everything they saw on the list.
“This is the opposite of civil, assholes.” Dirk stepped forwards to gather some of the food into his own sylladex, even as his impromptu guests continued piling every surface high with more. “Two people don’t need this much food, this is fucking excessive.”
“Two people might not, but three should just about finish it all.” Hal’s grin slanted, somehow becoming more sinister without losing its bright glee. “Stop being such a party-pooper, Dirk, or Dave will have to show you how to enjoy something sweet for a change.”
“Ooh, I should do that anyway!” Finally Dave stopped pouring food out onto the floor, instead collecting an eclectic mix of it and approaching Dirk. Somehow, this didn’t feel like an improvement. “You’re always so sour, man, but I bet you’ll love this! Just give it a try!”
Dirk didn’t get a chance to voice his opinion on giving any of ‘it’ a try – as soon as Dave finished his sentence, he forced one of the crisp bags open with a loud bang and shoved a heaping handful between Dirk’s parted lips.
“There you go! We’ll start easy, I know you like chips and soda! And then once you’re not so grumpy, you can try all the tasty chocolate stuff too!”
Dirk’s responding “mmmph!” was all but drowned out by the crunching of chips within his mouth. He puffed his cheeks up, ready to spit the snacks out, but the moment his lips parted again Dave was there with one of the soda bottles, squeezing it with such force that Dirk had no choice but to swallow, or risk dying from suffocation on cheap party goods.
That set the pace for how Dave treated him. Dirk never opened his mouth without being silenced by more food, never gasped for breath without having to quickly brace for another splash of sugary drink. The taste was fine, good even, but each morsel just tasted of so much that it became almost tiring to endure. Not to mention that the giddy trickster seemed to have no sense for complementary flavours, alternating sweet and savoury, rich and plain, chewy and gooey with such reckless abandon that soon everything tasted like everything just from osmosis.
Thankfully for Dirk’s tired mind, Dave’s corralling seemed to be leading him towards the couch. Each forced mouthful gave him a little shove towards it, each invasion of his personal space made him flinch backwards, until his legs hit the food-covered furniture and he collapsed onto it with a muffled ‘oof’.
Had the feeding been any less taxing, Dirk would’ve had a lot of time to think on the deteriorating state of his clothing. His shirt was riding up something fierce, but even that didn’t save it from straining over the upper half of his stuffed gut. His jeans clung tight around his waist, filling Dirk’s ears with the sound of creaking stitches even after the button popped and the zipper was forced open. His shades were, first, covered in crumbs and smears from the messy feeding, and soon after knocked off entirely by an overly expressive gesture from Dave.
As things progressed, Dirk only became less able to react. Sugary sodas and chocolate bars might have been a distraction, but when Dave moved on to unbearably ripe chocolate-coated strawberries and rich, layered cakes thick and gooey enough to risk clogging his throat, his mind was fit to shut down entirely. There just wasn’t room for anything else beside the taste – even his vision was going funny, fogging and tinting as if he was still wearing his shades.
It should’ve been a relief when Dave relented, floating back to give Dirk both space and time to process the world once again, but the taste lingered in his mouth, in his mind, dulling his response to Dave’s announcement. “Okay, that’s a good start! Um… Oh. I didn’t go too far, did I?”
Dirk just groaned, still trying to clear his throat from the rushed meal. Before he could get himself together for a proper reply, Hal took charge. “I’d say you didn’t go far enough, bro. Sure, Dirk’s enjoying himself, but is he having the gummy-funniest time possible? I don’t think so.”
“Oh, no way! Look, he’s barely smiling!” Some part of Dirk piped up that he wasn’t smiling at all, for the record, but the sentiment never made it into the air. “Can he fit more fun, though? He looks kind of full…”
“Don’t worry.” Through his stupor, and the phantom lights in his eyes, Dirk managed to be intimidated by Hal’s smirk as he approached the couch. He raised one metal hand, and all it took was a puff of a sugar cloud to turn it into a wide, heavy-duty hose end, his stripwound arm turning transparent so Dirk could see something inside. Something neon green, speckled with glittery flecks, that dripped from the hose’s end even before Hal stuffed it in Dirk’s mouth.
“I’ll make room.”
The paste was thick, cold, and almost painfully sweet. The sort of artificial sweet that made Dirk think of his old snack stashes in his last apartment in unkind terms. It seemed to fill every gap and hollow in him, bloating his stomach almost as severely as it bloated the rest of him.
Cloth tore violently. Denim shredded. Even the couch groaned worryingly as Dirk expanded. Where before he’d simply looked overly stuffed, the more of the paste Hal forced down his throat, the more he looked like this sort of feeding was a regular occurrence. His face grew heavy, chins sagging until they touched his collarbones. Whatever fight was left in his arms was snuffed out as they grew too ponderous to leave his sides, which similarly swelled outwards with new love handles. The back of the couch bent slightly as his new ass-flab forced itself against it. All that preserved his modesty was the still-growing spectacle of his belly, forcing his chunky legs to spread and hanging trembling inches off of the trash-coated floor.
Whatever tank Hal was pumping from wasn’t endless, though, as much as it felt that way in the moment. Eventually, once he was thoroughly filling the couch and in no fit state to lift a finger, the hose left his mouth, turning back into a hand just so Hal could give his wobbling cheek a teasing pat.
“I’d say that makes for a mouth-whetting first course. What about you, Dave, any morsels of wisdom to add?”
“Nope! He looks like he’s having loads of fun! Now, for the second course, I was thinking-.”
-ify!
A blinding flash of multicoloured light filled the room. Dirk blinked as quickly as he could, failing to banish even half of the strange spots from his vision. His face and breasts obscured a large portion of his vision, and he was in no fit state to analyse the rest, but something definitely seemed… different…
“Ugh, my head… yo, Hal, the hell’s all this?”
“My initial assumption is some sort of intense party, though there’s no course of action that would explain my lack of memories. Or my sudden ability to have a migraine.”
Dirk’s stomach chose that moment to gurgle loudly, the tacky candy paste upsetting it to the point he had to let out a paper-shaking belch.
The silence that rang after his belch was deafening, leaving Dirk alone with his abused stomach, until, in two voices:
“Oh, shit.”

Cutie Reviews: Tokyo Treat July 19
Hello all, welcome to July’s Tokyo Treat review!
Besides the fact I’m in a different place taking these pics, I don’t have anything else to say so we’ll just get straight into it.
Tumblr media
Also, because I accidentally cut it off, July’s theme is Life’s A Beach.
“With warmer weather on the horizon we were feeling super inspired to bring you a summery box filled with snacks ready for a beach day! This month you’ll be receiving a lot of fun treats and a taste of summer in Japan. We hope this yummy selection of sweet and savory snacks inspires you to go outside and enjoy your treats in the summer weather!“
So in my rush to get these pictures ready, I ended up not getting the Prize or Lucky Treat pictures. So to summarize, Lucky Treat heavily focuses on Kindom Hearts with a dash of Pokemon. While I was lucky enough to win the September one, I can’t deny that this would probably have been the other one I really wanted. Meanwhile, July’s prize features figurines of Sanji and Trafalgar Law (my favorite characters, along with Luffy, Ace, and Perona) in One Piece, and some smaller Pokemon figures for the runner-ups.
As usual I won’t be reviewing the DIY candy kit (see top pic) because we’ve had it several times before and I think I already covered it on the blog anyway.
-------------
Melon Cream Soda
Tumblr media
(Sorry the stand is a mess, this pic was last-second and I was in a hurry, and no the drink in the background is not the same one as on top, it’s cola).
Perfect for summer, we have a refreshing melon cream soda. It’s a really pretty pastel green color, and it’s very foamy on the top which helps emulate the cream soda vibe. It smells like fizzy melon candy (and tastes like one too), and it’s very light and refreshing with a small hint of vanilla in the background.
If you don’t like melon then you probably wouldn’t like this- but if you do then I think you would love it.
Crushed Poteco 4-Pack
Tumblr media
If you read the blog before then you will recognize these; we get them fairly often and I won’t be reviewing these because I’ve done it a handful of times.
They’re cute, tasty little potato rings with a slight saltiness, but as good as they are I’m pretty sick of them <_< I actually gave all of mine away because I really didn’t want them.
Soda Soft Candy & Sherbet Perot Cider
Tumblr media
I love soda candy and I can’t think of anything more lovely for warm summer weather than cooling, refreshing blue sweets~
First we’ll start with the Sherbet Perot Cider, the equivalent of the cola-flavored lollipop with fizzy candy that we got either back in May. It consists of a neutral-lightly sweetened lollipop with powdered candy you can tip it in, giving it a vaguely fizzy and sweeter, almost sour taste. This specific one is 44.5 calories.
Much like the cola one, I think it’s really yummy. I love the taste of the powder with it especially because in my opinion the lollipop on its own isn’t sweet enough- but like the cola one, I find myself completely forgetting about the powder and just sucking on the candy.
------
The other soda candy we got are these cute spherical soft candies. But what makes them special is that they have a hint of lemon for an additional pinch of sweetness~
The entire bag is 63 calories, which seems about right since you get a handful of them. The pamphlet describes these as sweet and sour, but unless you let them sit in your mouth for a few minutes, you taste no sourness- and honestly, they didn’t taste as good as they do if you just chew them up from the beginning.
Mini Chocolate Bat
Tumblr media
Next up is an item I’ve had before, but it’s been a really long time so that’s not too bad. These have been around for a long time now if I recall, but I’m not sure if they’re popular. For the entire box (or one stick, not sure) its 51 calories, and each crunchy stick is coated in a thin layer of chocolate, they remind me a lot of those yellow cake donuts... if they were stale and hard.
These aren’t bad or anything but they aren’t sweet either. I love dark chocolate and I can appreciate not having a sugar buzz as much as the next person, but sometimes you just want sugar too, you know? I feel like this would be good with coffee though, and it was nice of them to give us a box, making them a nice little item to bring to a get-together with a friend or two.
Chocolate Mint Candy & Peach Mint Kit Kats
Tumblr media
To go with all of our refreshing green and blue sweet snacks, we got two more, but these are of the mint variety!
Our first item is inspired by delicious Hokkaido mint chocolate ice cream (my favorite~!) and takes the form of a spherical hard candy. I know the picture makes it extremely hard, but the candy actually has brown dots covering them to emulate the ice cream. The inside is filled with a cooling white powdery substance, but you don’t have to wait until you get to the center, because there is a tiny hole in the candy allowing the flavor to seep out.
Per-candy or bag (I certainly hope bag), the calories are 290.
These are very yummy but I’m not sure they would be enjoyed by those who aren’t big on choco-mint. They mostly taste like chocolate with a hint of mint, and I really like the cooling effect. The hardness of the coating seems to vary between candies though, because I noticed the first one I could bite through the middle no problem, but the second one was a lot more difficult.
-----
Next up is another kit kat like usual. As much as I like these I tend to get tired of them too, but I believe last month we didn’t have one so it isn’t that bad. Anyway, this is a PREMIUM kit kat blend, which means its slightly more special or pricey or something. Each pack is 63 calories, and i love the pretty mix of pink and mint on the packaging~
Before getting these, it never occurred to me to think of a combination like mint x peach. I thought it sounded strange. The outside chocolate oddly resembles cookies and cream while the inside is pure mint, and they are deliciously amazing!
As I said, it sounds unusual, but it’s really good. As soon as you bite into them you get hit by the refreshing peach, followed by a combination of mint until you’re left with a cooling sensation. I recommend these if you can find them!
Anpanman Grape Gummies & Sour Peah Gum
Tumblr media
Our refreshing fruity theme continues with these two fun, colorful candies. I’ve had these both before so I don’t think I have too much to say, I’ll start with the Anpanman. These are fun grape-flavored gummies that come in 24 various poses and characters, and each pack is 62 calories.
I was really confused with these, because of summer and them being gummies I assumed they would be inedible because they were stuck to the plastic/wax paper. But it turns out the paper can dissolved! It’s very weird, but my mom pointed it out while I explained my issues with it, and while having them in my mouth it would just slide right off. I wasted half of the pack until finding this out <3< but I am very glad I did because I wasn’t very impressed when I opened them.
------
Next is a really fun gum roulette candy that came out a couple of years ago :3 Basically, you have 3 gums (I’ve tried a few flavors so far, but Peach is the only one I’ve had twice now) and each one is different: one is sour, one is sweet, and one is normal. There’s no physical way to tell them apart, nor do they have a scent (except for what the flavor is, in this case peach). The only way to find out which is which is to chew them.
I like sour candy, and I also love sweetness, so this is really fun and the gum quality is pretty good, but the flavors only last a few minutes. This was how I felt about each piece:
Sour - It gets worse the more you chew. I love sourness but Japanese sour candy seems to involve salt; my mouth was starting to feel an extremely faint numbing burn. I never really considered myself a wimp when it came to sour candy but this stuff is on another level; but because it died down fairly quickly, it wasn’t unbearable.
Normal - Sweet and a little cooling. It actually didn’t taste too much like peach but the sour might have ruined my taste buds at the moment :P
Sweet - A lot like the Normal piece, but slightly more peach-ish.
Umai Sugar Rusk & Sour Cream and Onion Doritos
Tumblr media
Recognize the guy on the Sugar Rusk package? He’s our adorable Umaibo friend (by the way, am I the only person who thinks he resembles Doraemon a little?), but now he’s featuring a sweet rusk snack. Each pack is 209 calories.
I don’t usually like rusk snacks, but these are tasty. They’re light, crispy, and sweet with a hint of butteryness. The calories for this are high but they’re delicious, would recommend.
-----
Now, where I live Doritos are not uncommon. We have tons of flavors (my favorite being the original, and the sweet and spicy), at one point we even have mix-flavor bags. I really miss those, but I never met a Dorito I didn’t like so I was excited to get to try something new. Each bag is 277 calories.
These are based on sour cream and onion, which is not something new to me. I used to really like it and the dip with the same flavor, but besides these foreign things I get lately I don’t actually eat too many chips- except for when I’m in the mood for some Doritos since it’s actually my favorite American brand.
These taste really good. Pretty different from the sour cream and onion I’m used to though; they have a garlic-onion-ish taste and while I hate onions (mainly the texture of them), that didn’t really bother me. They actually kind of remind me of the cool ranch Doritos.
Tonkatsu Sauce Umaibo & Texas Corn Okonomiyaki
Tumblr media
(This pic is different because my original was corrupted, which I discovered when I went to save it to my computer.)
Our final 2 items of this months box is a delicious Umaibo I’ve had a few times. It’s Tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet) sauce flavored and it’s AMAZING. It’s my second favorite Umaibo flavor behind corn potage, I really recommend this one if you ever get a chance to try it out.
The flavor itself I can’t really describe, but it has a hint of spice. I want to say it’s a bit like a smoky barbecue-soy sauce? It’s not salty though.
----
Lastly is a bag of Texas Corn snack in Okonomiyaki flavor. Okonomiyaki is an Asian Dish best known as a savory pancake. It’s a combination of dough and vegetables, sometimes with meat (bacon is pretty popular), noodles, or seafood, then its fried and covered in things like sauce or pickled vegetables.
These smell kind of similar to the Umaibo, but with a tangy addition and it’s very strong- but the flavor itself is extremely light, it gives me a plain dough (and this next part will sound crazy) and apple cinnamon...
Yeah. I don’t know what I’m on these days o_o
♥ Cutie Ranking ♥
Content - 3.5 out of 5. I nearly-loved everything, but I am scoring it down because there was a handful of repetition and two items I refuse to forgive for seeing again for the millionth time. Call me petty but when I look at the content featured in Japan Crate’s box, I feel like its kind of a rip-off because they always have a bunch of unique new types of items in the boxes.
Quality - 4.5 out of 5. Everything was fine, items were good and tasty and nothing was damaged (including my umaibo, which lately has been suffering), while everything but one item held up being open a bit late, a couple of them went stale fairly quick after opening. BUT they still tasted decent so I didn’t entirely mind. I’m only mentioning this because I’m not a person who inhales everything at one or shares them with others. My snacks tend to last a while.
Theme - 2 out of 5. I thought they kind of failed this time around. The theme was perfect for summer, but when I think of the beach I think of flavors like pineapple, mango, coconut (I hate coconut so I am thankful none of that was included), other fruits, and maybe grilled flavors. The mint, soda, and melon flavors were great for the theme to provide a refreshing and light taste, but I wish they had played that up some more.
Total Rank: 6 or 7 out of 10. Lately the boxes are improving I think, I keep liking them more and more and I really loved this one (with the exception of the poteco rings and the DIY, they’re good but I’m just tired of seeing them!). The flavors are all very yummy, but the items correspondence with the theme needs some work. Let’s see if they do better next month with our last of the 3 summer boxes this year :3
♥ Cutie’s Scale of Yummy ♥
1. Tonkatsu Umaibo - It’s a unique flavor but it’s so good! I can only imagine what the real sauce tastes like~
2. Soda Soft Candy - Soft candy is much better than hard in my opinion, I love candy like this. They tasted so good x3
3. Sour Cream and Onion Doritos - I love Doritos and these were no exception- I do wish the flavor didn’t linger in the mouth so long, but it’s not horrible.
4. Sugar Rusk - These are like the sugar rusk Umaibo, and they’re very tasty.
5. Peach Mint Kit Kat - I love the pink and mint pastel color scheme and for such a unique sweet combination, I thought they were perfect together.
6. Sour Peach Gum - Delicious, but the flavor dies down very quickly. I like the texture of the gum.
7. Sherbet Perot Cider - Very yummy, but I wish the lollipop was a little sweeter.
8. Chocolate Mint Candy - I’m not big on hard candies like I used to be, but these are unique and I love the cooling effect.
9. Anpanman Grape Gummies - I love grape and I thought they were too cute not to eat~
10. Melon Cream Soda - It was really good but when I have melon things I feel like I have a point where I lose interest. I’m glad I split this with someone else because I’m not sure I would have drank the entire thing on my own.
11. Texas Corn Okonomiyaki - I like the texture but the weird apple cinnamon cereal vibes I was getting weirded me out.
12. Chocolate Bat - I hated these initially but the ore I ate the more bearable I found them.
13. Poteco - I’m extremely over these... thankfully I know people who like them or aren’t as picky.

Dungeons and Arcana
Chapter 1: New Game
Lucio rubbed his face, trying hard not to glare at the others at the table with him. “Explain to me again, what is it you want to do?”
Asra smiles, setting down his glass. “We want to bring two more people into the game with us.”
“I got that. Who are they, do I know them, what are their experience, and do I need to start a new campaign?” He hated getting new players. Not that he wants to keep others from playing, but it meant having to learn them, figure out how they play characters, see what they could and couldn’t deal with, merging them into pre-existing campaigns was a bitch.
Julian raises his hand a bit. “My sister, she’s got a bit of experience from playing with me.”
Lucio nods, then looks at the other two.
“Our roommate, Muriel. You’ve probably met him before, or well, at least seen him.” Mordenkainen answered, making vaguely descriptive hand gestures. “Tall guy, beefy, wears a hoodie all the time, and has the big service dog. Ring any bells?”
It did, mostly because the guy was like a huge brick wall, but he wasn’t very social, so Lucio didn’t know him very well. “Does he have any experience?”
Asra and Mordenkainen look between each other with small looks of worry. “... We’ve tried…” “But neither of us are good dms so….” “Not really….”
“Jesus christ.” He groans, rubbing his face and pushing his glasses further up his face. “...... I’m going to have to meet them both, then we’ll see about a new campaign. Nadia!” He looked over his shoulder towards the kitchen.
“What?” Nadia yells back.
“You’re going to need to make a new character!”
“Okay! What kind of campaign?”
“Not sure yet! Probably just a self inserts and fantasy!”
“Hella!”
Lucio rolls his eyes then turns back to the three in front of him. “Same time or do we need to reschedule for the others?”
“Muriel is good with us.” Asra smiles brightly, lightly jumping in his seat.
Julian thinks for a bit, then pulls his cell out of his scrubs pocket. “... I’ll have to check in with her for that, but let’s stick with the same time for now.”
Lucio nods, ideas of what to make the campaign starting to form. “Good, good, please get them in contact with me before then please. I need to meet them first, even if it’s over webcam.”
Nadia came out of the kitchen, holding a bowl of grapes and milk shake. “So we’ve got more people coming?”
“Maybe.”
“Yes.” Rang in everyone else.
She nods, thoughtfully sipping at her shake. “We’ll have to order more food then. Do any of them have allergies?”
“Portia does, but I doubt that’ll stop her from eating what’s presented.”
“Still, best to make preparations anyways. What’s she allergic to?”
“Dairy, but she doesn’t acknowledge that fact.”
“Oh.” She makes a face. “Is…. is there a non-dairy pizza? Hmm, I’ll keep an eye out for non-dairy snacks that taste good.”
Julian sighs with relief. “Thank you. I can try to get her to send a list of snacks she likes, if that’d help?”
Nadia and Julian start to discuss food, while Lucio turns to the other two. “So, I know of Muriel, but what’s he like? Asides from being a big boy.”
“Shy, not outgoing, and suffers from anxiety.” Asra says, ruffling his brown hair. “We figured that doing it with friends would be the best chance at having him play and plus you’re pretty good, so we figured you’d be best at being one of his first dms.”
Lucio sighs in defeat. “We’ll talk more about this later.” He glances at the clock, then groans. “After work, it’s time to go.” He and Asra stand up, grabbing their bags and coats. “Bye Noddy!”
“Bye Mayor!” Asra grins, sliding on his obnoxiously colored green, pink, and orange jacket.
“Not mayor yet.” She laughs, waving them farewell. “Don’t forget your arm charger!”
“Thank you!” Lucio quickly grabs it from the counter, then goes out to the car. “What do you plan on playing tonight?”
Asra buckles himself, as he makes his signature cat face. “What do you mean?”
Lucio narrowed his eyes at him as he buckled himself in and pulled out. “Do you plan on being a memey little shit with the music tonight or do you plan on doing normal bar music?”
“Oh, you know.” He grins, giving Lucio the answer he knew. The bar was going to be filled with meme songs, most of them were going to give him a headache.
“You little shit.” He groaned, already feeling the headache forming from just thinking of what he was going to hear for the hours they were working together. “Can you at least put on good meme music?”
“Excuse you, but Smash Mouth is great music.” He laughs, watching the buildings pass by.
“No, no it’s not. And please, for the love of god, don’t play What’s New Pussycat, because I swear, I will jump over the bar and strangle you for it.”
“Kinky.” He snickers, poking at his shoulder.
“It’s not a kink thing you perverted little shit!” He groans, keeping his eyes on the road as he blindly slaps at Asra.
Asra snorts, weakly batting his hand away. “What if I play, It’s Not Unusual?”
“That’s worse!” He groans, putting his hand back on the wheel. “Just… Please, take some of the patrons’ requests.”
“I’ll consider it.”
It was quiet for the next few minutes, but as Lucio finished parking, his speakers came to life with-
“DO YOU LIKE WAFFLES?”
“ASRAAAAAA!”
The culprit ran into the bar, laughing with bastardly delight. Lucio groaned, rubbing his face as he turned off the car, and grabbed his bag. He hoped today will be slow, so he could write, but since Asra took over the music selection, more people started coming in. It was good for business, but not good for his creativity. He went inside, clocked himself in, and went to his usual part of the bar, the one with the plug-in built into the counter. He plugged in his phone and arm, hoping people chose the other bartenders, but knowing he’s never that lucky.
His fear was confirmed about 10 minutes into his shift. Asra had some weird remix playing as a sickly looking older man came to the bar in front of him. Worm man, or Vlastomil, as his name tag reads, comes in regularly. The only reason Lucio even remembers this fucker is solely because he stands out; super pale, an almost leprechaun face, dark clothes, and is usually saying something about worms. He assumes the man works at the bait shop, but honestly didn't care enough to find out. “What will it be, sir?”
“Drunken worm cocktail.”
He gets out the ingredients, passion fruit vodka, peach schnapps, cointreu, coconut rum, sweet and sour, cranberry juice, and gummy worms. It looked tasty, white bottom, with red top, ice, and gummy worms resting on the top. “Here you go.”
“Thank you.” He sets down $15 and walks away to a darker part of the room. A weird, but alright person.
He stares at him for a bit, then picks up his phone and starts typing.  Vlastomil…. Sounds like a perfect fantasy name….  He quickly made some notes, then put away his phone as another person came over. “Hi, how can I help you?”
The man in front of him was beautiful, like almost a model. Long hair in a braid, brown that somehow beautifully turns to blond, and clothes that looked a bit more expensive than this area normally gets. Dammit, he didn’t need an instant crush on a stranger. “What kinds of wine do you have?”
“... Uh, I’ll have to check the list.” Not many people wanted straight wine, so he forgot the actual names of them. “We have…. Pinot Grigio.. Some Chardonnay… uhhh.. Pinot Noir… Rose and Cabernet Sauvignon?”
He raises an eyebrow and has a small smile. “Not used to serving?”
“Not used to serving straight wine. Which would you like?”
He stares at the bottles for a bit. “Pinot Noir.”
“You got it.” He pours him a glass and hands it to him, then watches as he awkwardly holds the glass, probably expecting a wine glass instead of the regular ass glasses they have.
“Thank you.” He continues to stay at the bar, drinking as he looked around, sipping thoughtfully at his wine. “Hmp, this is just like him too.”
He shouldn’t butt in or even mention that he heard it, but his nosiness is getting the better of him. “Who?”
He sighs, leaning back into the bar. “My ex, he used to bring this home constantly. Should have expected the bad after taste of him with it.”
“That’s rough buddy.” Did he really just say that? He’s been dming too long, now he sounds like an actual NPC!
He snorts softly, turning to smile at him. “I didn’t think bartenders actually said that.”
They don’t, I’m just too used to fantasy. “I like going beyond people’s expectations.”
“I’ll keep that in mind.” He turns back around, continuing to sip at his wine.
Lucio looked over at Asra, only to see him gesturing to…. Do something? He looked at his phone and, oh, he sent a text.
Snek meme bastard: is that valerius? Me: Who is that and why should I care? Snek meme bastard: cuz hes muriels cuz Me: ….. Me: Can u try that again with proper spelling? Snek meme bastard: valerius is muriels cousin Snek meme bastard: is that valerius? Me: not sure Snek meme bastard: ASK Me: NO Snek meme bastard: please Me: no Snek meme bastard: please Me: no Snek meme bastard: please Me: no Snek meme bastard: please Me: no Snek meme bastard: please Me: no Snek meme bastard: please Me: no Snek meme bastard: ………. Snek meme bastard: ill give you $20 bucks if you do Me: …… if he calls the cops im bringing you to jail with me
He groans, rubbing the bridge of his nose, then looks back up at the handsome man in front of him. “What’s your name?”
He looks up at him. “.... any reason you want to know?”
Shit, shit, what does he say? “Why wouldn’t I like to know the name of an attractive person at my bar?” He grins, dying on the inside. He really needs to stop hanging out with MC, they were giving him bad habits of unnecessary flirting with everyone who sticks around for more than 5 minutes.
He looks at him for a bit, then laughs. “You…” He snorts, setting down his drink. “Where.. How did you learn to talk like that?”
“I have no idea of what you mean.” Well, at least he got the stranger to laugh, hopefully that means good things and not being considered a creep. “I speak like a regular people.”
He laughs more, then tries to take a sip of his wine. “I’ll…” He snickers. “I’ll tell you mine, if you tell me your’s.”
“I’m Lucio of Vesuvia!” He adds a bit of lordly flair to the way he says it, deciding to commit to the weird way of talking for this man. “And you are?”
He giggles, barely able to talk at this point. “I’m- hehehe- I’m Consul Valerius, at your service!” He goes back to laughing.
His phone lights up, warning him that Asra wanted to call. Fuck that, it’s too loud for that to work out. He declines the call to see that Asra had texted him. A lot.
Snek meme bastard: is it him? Snek meme bastard: hey Snek meme bastard: lucio Snek meme bastard: lucio Snek meme bastard: is it him? Snek meme bastard: LUCIO Snek meme bastard: lucy Snek meme bastard: i said get a name not flirt Snek meme bastard: …… Snek meme bastard: bitch Snek meme bastard: dude Snek meme bastard: respond or i will rick roll the entire club Snek meme bastard: im serious Snek meme bastard: just say if he is or isnt Snek meme bastard: 3 Snek meme bastard: 2 Snek meme bastard: 1 Me: WAIT
But it was too late, the room was filling with the beginning of Never Going to Give You Up, sending almost every person in the bar into a collective flight or fight response. Some were booing Asra, others just loudly complaining, some were laughing, and even fewer actually left. Asra stared directly at Lucio, demanding a response.
Me: YES HIS NAME IS VALERIUS Me: TURN IT OFF Snek meme bastard: :3
The music was changed to.. Something else, the song wasn’t familiar, so that was good. He sighs, rubbing his face. “Sorry about that. Our DJ is a…. He’s a bastard and let’s leave it at that…”
He shrugs, finishing his glass of wine. “It’s alright, odd choices in music, but he seems alright.”
After the song, one of the other DJs took over for a bit, then Asra made, as straight as he could, for them. “Valerius?”
“Who wants to know.” His mood immediately dropped back to being serious.
“Muriel’s roommate, Asra.”
He glances at Lucio, as if to get confirmation.
“This is my bastard coworker, Asra, the memelord.” Lucio sighs, gesturing at him.
Asra grins, then starts talking to Valerius, but Lucio stopped listening so that he could make some more notes. Vesuvia and Valerius… wonderful names..
“Excuse me!” A loud person, yelled at Lucio. He looked up to see Vulgora, one of the few people you actually remembered the name of. They were constantly getting into fights and just overall loud. “Get me a beer!”
“Any specific kind?”
“A beer!”
Lucio nodded, getting the cheapest beer he could find and putting it in a glass, then handing it to them. “Here you go.” Vulgora and the bar had a deal, they could drink as much as they wanted and the bill would be put directly on their bank account. The bill on most days was too many drinks, on worst days, over hundreds of dollars for repairs. He didn’t understand why they were let back in after the first time, but at least they were paying for it.
With their drink in hand, Vulgora started chugging as they went to find someone to arm wrestle, and Lucio went back to his phone. Vulgora… that’s a rather unique name…
There was tapping on the counter, he looked up to see one of his greatest fears: Dr. Valdemar. The doctor might not have done anything specifically harmful to him, but waking up in the middle of surgery was still lucid led to….. Visual nightmares that have haunted him for over 6 years. “..... How can I help you?”
“Have you seen Dearil?”
“Uhh.. no?” Name sounded familiar, but he couldn’t place who it was.
They look around, contemplating their next words. “Dark orange hair, reddish brown eyes, and is probably carrying a skull?”
No, no he has not. Well, maybe, there’s a lot of people here. He shrugs. “Can’t help you, sorry.”
They nod, setting down a bill. “Thanks anyways.” They wandered into the crowd, hopefully to never be seen again.
…. They would make a great villain. He typed some more at his phone. He was getting a lot of V names tonight.
“Um, sir?” There was a lady in front of him. “Do you serve food here?”
“The bar with food is over there.” He points to the other side.
“Thank you.” She smiles, walking away and someone said “Volta!” as she approached.
This place has a surprising amount of people with Vs in their first name… He went back to his phone, waiting on Asra to stop talking to the cute guy.

Travel Friendly Store-Bought Clean Eating Snacks
No matter where your travels are taking you this summer, you most definitely don’t want to get caught hungry and in search of healthy cleaner snack options. After all, nothing kills a good mood or positive attitude quite like a snack craving! Homemade treats tend to be cleaner, but I understand that making your own isn’t always possible in the rush of getting ready for a trip, so I’ve compiled 15 of my favorite travel-friendly clean eating snacks that are available for purchase. They’re all tasty, portable, relatively healthy, and kid-approved. Safe travels!
Store-Bought Portable Clean Eating Snacks
For better (and healthy) travel treats.
Here are 15 clean eating snacks to shop before your next trip:
1. RXBARs: There are a lot of protein bars out there, but these are some of my favorite to recommend (they were even in our wedding hotel welcome bags!). They come in delicious flavors from Chocolate Cherry and Blueberry to Chocolate Sea Salt and Mango Pineapple (and that’s just the start!)… and if you’re looking for something a little extra kid-friendly, there are four RXBAR varieties targeted especially for littles. This company is open about their ingredients, which include simple, clean items like egg whites, dates, and almonds. Throw a few of these in your tote for plenty of protein on the go.
2. Meat Sticks: While we’re talking protein, we’ve gotta talk about meat sticks. There are few sources of protein better than lean dried meat, and there are few things that can serve you better while you’re traveling than protein! There are plenty of brands and varieties out there producing meat sticks for you to try, but The New Primal, Chomps, Epic Bars are three of my faves.
3. Simple Mills Crackers: The Simple Mills company prides themselves on providing consumers with “nothing artificial, ever” — and if you’ve been hanging around here for a while, you know that’s a motto that I can get behind. Every Simple Mills product is gluten-free, grain-free, soy-free, non-GMO, and paleo friendly, including their wide variety of cracker options. Choose from Fine Ground Sea Salt Almond Flour crackers (perfect with a bowl of classic chicken soup FYI), Farmhouse Cheddar Almond Flour crackers, Smoky BBQ Cheddar Almond Flour crackers, and more. Bring a box along for the perfect bite on a long car trip, beach day, or extended plane ride.
4. YumEarth: I’ve given you a lot of good savory options here, but sometimes, you just need to satisfy a sweet tooth! Enter YumEarth. This company uses super simple ingredients and has eliminated commonly problematic items like eggs, fish, milk, peanuts, soy, and wheat from all of its products. They’re also certified USDA organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, and vegan across the board. What’s your favorite candy treat? Lollipops, gummy bears, licorice, fruit snacks, sours, hard candies… YumEarth has you covered!
5. Hu Kitchen Dark Chocolate: Hu Kitchen is well-known for its lack of “weird ingredients” — but it may be even better known for how good it is! Hu’s 70% house ground dark chocolate is free of refined sugar, cane sugar, sugar alcohols, and dairy, but will still fulfill your chocolate craving in a pinch. Stock your suitcase with these so you’re ready for the inevitable chocolate fixation at any moment.
6. Freeze-Dried Cheese: If you have yet to get on the freeze-dried cheese train, allow me to extend an official invitation to jump on board! Nutristore, Moon Cheese, and Augason Farms are readily-available brands that offer different varieties of cheese based on your family’s preference. Satisfy that craving for something cheesy while in transit without risking the icky, old cheese smell.
7. Granola: I’m pretty partial to my own granola recipes (my gluten-free version with crunchy clusters and my Cherry, Coconut, and Chocolate Granola are both delish), but if you don’t have time to DIY pre-travel, there are a few clean varieties out there that you can buy easily. Check out XXX and XXXX.
8. Plantain Chips: These little beauties are rich in Vitamins A and C, as well as potassium and high-quality fats, which makes them an extremely well-balanced snack for travel of all kinds. They also have anti-inflammatory properties and can help support your immune system, which can help you stay healthy while you’re on the move. Amazi plantain chips are clean, simple, and just good.
9. Healthy Chips: There’s nothing like the satisfying crunch of a chip to uplevel your snack game, and thanks to companies like Siete Foods and Jackson’s Honest, you can get that crunch without feeling like you’re filling your body with excess salt and icky additives. Some of my favorite healthy chip options are Siete Brand Tortilla Chips (I love the Fuego) and Jackson’s Honest Chips.
Store Bought Clean Snacks
10. Nut butter packets: There’s nothing like a few perfect bites of nut butter when you feel yourself getting hangry, and thanks to brands like RXBAR and Justin’s, the snack is now available in a portable pouch for easy travel. You, your friends, your kids, and your partner are all bound to approve of this on-the-go snack. It’s a real crowd pleaser!
11. Trail Mix: Trail mix can make a great travel companion for your hungrier moments, as long as you remember that not all trail mix is created equal! Steer clear of anything with unnecessary added sugars and lots of candy pieces (though I’ll sign off on a few dark chocolate chunks and dried fruit here and there, because… yum). Nuts and seeds are really the best route if you’re trying to stick to a fairly clean eating routine while you’re on the go. I like making my own and stocking up on nuts and dried fruit from Trader Joe’s for affordability, but you can find plenty of great pre-packaged options at stores like BJ’s, Costco, Whole Foods, or online, too!
12. Crispy Chickpeas: This is another snack that I typically make in my own kitchen, but it’s also available pre-packaged from brands like Biena! Chickpeas are rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and protein, and when you make them crispy, they give you the perfect crunch. You’ll never crave a potato chip or cheese curl again!
13. Simple Mills Cookies: You already know how I feel about Simple Mills crackers, and I’m an equally big fan of their cookie selection. This brand — again, gluten-free, grain-free, soy-free, non-GMO, and paleo friendly — has quite a selection of cookies. You’ve got your crunchy cookies (Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon, Toasted Pecan) and your soft-baked cookies (a chewier take on Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter, and Dark Chocolate Toasted Coconut). The gang’s all here, and ready to tag along with your family no matter where your travels take you.
14. Emmy’s Organics Coconut Cookies: While we’re on the subject of cookies, I’d also like to recommend the Emmy’s Organics brand. Their coconut cookies and chocolate-covered coconut cookie bites are ideal when you want a taste of something decadent, but don’t want to get too off-track with your clean eating. Emmy’s Organic uses non-GMO, organic, and gluten-free ingredients.
15. Freeze-Dried Apple Chips: Get all the health benefits of apples in an easier-to-transport form with freeze-dried apple chips from Whole Foods 365 Brand or online (make sure the only ingredient is apples!). I guarantee that these will be especially popular with your kiddos!
P.S. Don’t forget some fresh fruit that won’t go bad super easily, and can hang out of the fridge — like apples, oranges, and bananas.
What are your cleaner go-to travel snacks?

Cutie Reviews: TokyoTreat Feb 20
Hello! Before I begin the review I wanted to explain that this box had a LOT of repeat. Like I've been doing lately I won't be reviewing the repeated items unless I have reason to. I do this not out of laziness, but because I don't think a review would be very interesting to constantly write/see "I had this before. It's good like last time/I hate it still." for each thing. So if I don’t write anything for certain items, you’ll understand why.
Tumblr media
(It’s probably just me but every time I look at this picture I keep thinking that these girls are third-wheels to the other... am I the only one?)
“The season of romance is upon us! But you know what they say, partners come and go but friends are for life! That’s why this year, we wanted to make a box for gifting and sharing that says “thanks for being a friend”. And where better to find snacks and sweet treats than Japan, home of Tomo-Choco (friendship chocolate)! We found some tasty Japanese goodies with unique flavor combinations for you to share with your squad. So grab your besties and come with an empty stomach, it’s snack time!“
This month’s flavors are Strawberry and Azuki.
Before we get to the review I had a couple of things to cover first.
Tumblr media
In this box we received an ad for a new show known as Gochi Gang, along with a notice explaining that the strawberry pocky we were going to get this month was replaced with the strawberry koala’s march. This was done because during this period, there were several poor koala harmed from wildfires and left homeless.
Lucky Treat & Photo Contest
For this month, the lucky treat consists of cardcaptor themed goods. The photo contest featured Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma, and Kiroitori.
Blendy Stick Hojicha Cafe au lait
Tumblr media
As I’ve said before, I really don’t like tea all that much. In January’s box we got tea, which wasn’t terrible, and other tea I’ve tried hasn’t been the worst either. So I try to remain hopeful when I try out new things like this.
This hojicha blend is roasted, giving it a smooth caramel-ish scent when mixed with a creamy milk. As usual, I wait until I do the review to try a product, so I heated some up with milk since I usually don’t mind milk tea very much.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Okay, so I don’t know if it’s because I suddenly got a headache or what, but this was pleasantly delicious! I didn’t need to add sugar or anything. It’s not really sweet, but it has a faint caramel creaminess to it.
It’s very soothing, and oddly enough I feel like it actually calmed my headache a little. If I end up finishing this box I might order some more, I wouldn’t mind drinking it more often.
Strawberry Heart Marshmallows & Strawberry Soft-serve
Tumblr media
Here’s an example of 2 items I had before. But I did want to mention that these are the types of items that do not hold up very well over time. But in different ways- for example, the marshmallows were still pretty fresh when I opened them, in comparison to the ultra-chewy soft serve marshmallow.
The marshmallows are still yummy now even though I did these pictures at the beginning of the month, they’re just a little hard but not crunchy or stale tasting. The soft serve left a nasty taste in my mouth though.
Koala’s March and Strawberry Choco Balls
Tumblr media
KM - ♥ ♥ ♥ SCB - ♥ ♥
Honey and Apple Pure Gummies
Tumblr media
Oh, where to begin with these... Okay, well first, they look very cute. The packaging is also really cute. Gummies are delicious, and I do like sour candy, but I’m not a huge fan of honey when there’s too much...
Okay, so originally I thought I’d love these. Then I hated it so much when I actually tried them, but now that I slowly ate one piece-by-piece and kept them in my mouth I found it tolerable. I only feel like I could eat one at a time, but I didn’t cringe or anything :D
Chocobat, Black Thunder, and Bubby Choco Stick
Tumblr media
Chocobat -  0
BT - ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
BCS - ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Strawberry and Milk Cream Cake & Uncle Pierre’s Roll Cake
Tumblr media
The cream cake was delicious but lightly flavored, which would probably be ideal if you don’t like overwhelming sweetness. The coating of the cake is sorta transparent, in comparison to the white clearly shown on the packaging. Would recommend.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
The roll cake is fine, pretty basic. The cream is very yummy, but it’s not like pink like the package shows. The cake outside is pretty basic.
Caramel Corn, Strawberry Daifuku KitKats, and Strawberry and Chocolate Hearts
Tumblr media
CC - ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥  surprisingly, this one actually has peanuts in it! It’s a first for me :D I don’t like peanuts, but they gave it a different flavor than usual.
SDKK -  ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
SCH -  ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ I love these a lot, would recommend!
Veggie Hearts, Dragon Chips, and Aji Cheese Chips
Tumblr media
ACC - ♥  the texture is pretty nice, but even if I eat these super-fresh upon arrival they always taste stale. I’ve had them a couple of times and it’s never any different.
VH - ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥  I love vegetable chips but they’re so light in flavor. THESE however, are very strong in flavor. I love them!
Meanwhile, our new item, the “Dragon Chips“ are a combination of tarako and buttery flavors. It’s a unique taste that I thought was pretty good, and they’re fun to look at. I’d recommend them too.
♥ Cutie Ranking ♥
Content - 2 out of 5. Besides one item everything was fine, I didn’t really hate anything. BUT, I didn’t feel like the box deserved a high content ranking from me personally because it was almost entirely composed of repeats. Theme - 2-3 out of 5. Obviously with the strawberry, chocolate, and hearts we can say they had a cute Valentine’s theme going on. But considering how “sweet oriented” last months box was, I felt like this one could have probably been a bit better? You know, more sweets, more cute fluffiness.
Total Rank: 5 out of 10. It was a perfectly fine box with a nice, well-rounded mix of items. I’d recommend it, especially the tea if you can find it. I still can’t get over how much I liked it, and my headache is gone too :3 But as I said, on a personal level I’m.... pretty disappointed with the box overall. They have made better ones in the past. I love getting to try out new foreign items, so I really hate getting so many repeats in the same box.
Lately, I’ve been considering dropping TokyoTreat and picking up a new brand that I found. I really don’t want to, but it feels like it’s becoming harder to look elsewhere lately...

Cutie Reviews: Tokyo Treat Dec 18
Ironically, I just filled out a survey the other day about this box. Changes will probably be coming to it, but not for a handful of boxes yet considering how far behind I am. If the box does change, I just help I like it~
Meanwhile I still haven’t gotten my delivery. As of tomorrow it’ll have been two weeks since it sent.
Tumblr media
“Everyone’s favorite time of year is finally here! The holidays have begun and cheer is flowing throughout the air. It is time to be generous to those around you, give and receive gifts, and to enjoy a good time with those dear to you. With that in mind, we curated a fun holiday Santa’s Snacks box so that you can share a relaxing time snacking on fun holiday themed Japanese snacks with friends and family. We hope you enjoy all the many snacks inspired by Japanese holiday culture and that this month’s snack box warms your heart during this holiday season. Who will you be sharing your snacks this month with? Whomever it is, we hope you have a great holiday!“
So because of pictures, I didn’t include the Lucky Treat or prize pics. The Lucky Treat is entirely Crayon Shin-chan dedicated (I’m not a big fan of that series so I don’t really mind not getting this one...) while the prizes are Vocaloid based. Those I’d have loved to get.
The book also features an article on Christmas traditions in Japan (like ordering KFC), and one on onsen.
Fanta Mango Jelly Drink & DIY
Tumblr media
As usual I’ll be covering the DIY in a new topic- only because I do have a handful of pictures and a few choice words...
Okay, so our first item is a jellied, mango Fanta drink. It might be a little strange to have in December, but right now when it’s June it couldn’t be better timing!
Each can is 68kcal, which I think is pretty nice because with it being full of jelly it’s bound to fill you up a bit more than a normal drink would, and if you happen to be weight conscious or don’t want a big meal it could be a good addition to the meal.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I feel like if you like mango you’ll love this, but there’s a small chance if you don’t like mango you might still like it. Whatever you do do not smell it >3< maybe it’s just me, but as much as I like mango it always stinks. It’ll taste good but the smell is very unpleasant.
Texture is another thing to take into mind because this drink has it. If you don’t like gelatinous things this might not be something you would consider trying. I love jelly textures though :P
Salty Green Pea Mini Chips & Vegetable Potato Sticks
Tumblr media
Next up are two semi-healthy vegetable themed savory snacks! The share pack item are the bags of potato sticks by Calbee, Each bag is only 44kcal and packed with 9 vegetables! You can even see bits of them in each stick.
These I’m pretty sure I’ve had before, but I don’t really remember so i will be rating them just to make sure.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
The flavor is light but it’s there, it doesn’t really taste like one specific vegetable though. It kind of reminds me of a very light, non-breath threatening sour cream and onion. They have a medium-crisp.
Our next item are these mini chips by Bourbon, in salted pea flavor. Every 37 grams (which might be the entire bag) is 1 serving, for a total of 207kcal.
It’s hard to tell in the pic, but they kind of have a faint green coloring.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I didn’t really like these when I first tried them, I didn’t taste anything but some salt. However, the more of them you eat the more the flavor comes through, but oddly they don’t really taste like peas to me (I hate peas so it’s not a big deal), they make me think more of pistachio.
Apple Chocobi & Bourbon Strawberry Chocolate Chips
Tumblr media
Okay, you can probably tell by now that Bourbon is kinda featured a lot in the box. Not a big deal though cause they got a lot of variety :3
Our first item in this pic is the Apple-flavored Chocobi. I admit I’m not a huge fan of these, usually because they go stale before I can finish them and they’re too sweet in my opinion. But I do like to try new flavors, and I love apples so I decided to remain open minded about this one.
These are made from apples all the way in Nagano Japan, and this set includes some cute, Crayon Shin-chan stickers in various locations in Japan. The one I got is Kagoshima.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I was very surprised by how tasty these are~ They are sweet but not cloyingly, and they actually taste like real apples, but they kind of remind me of cereal too.
For now, I think these might be my favorite (or at least liked) chocobi :3
Our next item I was very excited to try! I love strawberry chocolate, and chocolate-covered chips are usually-always delicious~
Each pack is 199kcal.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
They pretty much taste like their name “chips covered in strawberry chocolate“, with a hint of salt. It makes me think of eating McDonalds fries with strawberry milk or ice cream actually, but they are delicious!
The flavor might be a bit odd, but I really think it’s good. I want to keep eating them~
Kumamon White Sesame Cracker
Tumblr media
Our next item is a dense white sesame cracker, I think it also has a very light glaze and broken up pieces of nut in it. It kind of looks like something you would give a bird doesn’t it?
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I thought it was kind of yummy, I love sesame seeds. But I also feel like I taste a bit of peanut, which I hate. I also didn’t like how dry it left my mouth after eating it. It’s also a little bitter, and sweet.
I feel like this is an “acquired“ item, because I gave a piece of it to my mom and she dislikes sesame seeds. Now, I’ve given her mochi with sesame seeds and she doesn’t seem to hate them, but this she didn’t like at all.
See, it’s unique things like this I wish they gave us more often. Maybe more rice-based products?
Melon Bread Cookies & Burnt Caramel Taiyaki
Tumblr media
Next up we have two sweet items, first up being a small cookie based on Melon Pan (bread that resembles a melon. Only some of them actually taste like melon though).
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
I’d say the melon-flavoring is a medium-high in rating, and I think the cookie might be shortbread. I thought it was nice for a bite sized cookie.
The larger item on the side is inspired by a Taiyaki (fish-shaped pancake-like treats filled with cream, jam, or chocolate). This is a popular snack item by meito and is flavored burnt caramel, these specific taiyaki are made from wafer with air popped chocolate inside~!
This specific flavor is 87kcal, and they have a handful of different flavors. As of now, I’ve tried two or three (soon to be four hint hint) of these, they’re so good.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
The black color might look a bit scary at first (or not, I like black so I thought it was kind of fun), but oddly to me it actually smells and tastes a lot like brown sugar and pancakes, I love caramel but I thought this tasted amazing!
I would highly recommend trying this, or any of the others if you can find them!
Bubbly Cola Ramune Candy & Tomato & Cherry Gummies
Tumblr media
Okay so... one of these items I was extremely dreading to try. Wanna guess which one?
Our first item here is the cola candy inspired by a real pop. If the picture doesn’t imply anything, this is very foamy. I noticed when sucking on it, the foaming is very slow, and the candy has a teensy bit of sourness. But when you bite into it, it will foam a huge amount! It filled my entire mouth!
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
As I say all the time, I love cola (I’m even drinking coke as I write this) so I really like getting to try the unique cola-flavored Japanese candies. I think these were really fun, and each pack actually has 3 of them in it so these would be a fun candy to share with friends or to give someone if you wanted to play a cute little prank on them ;p
The next item meanwhile... I was terrified of it. It’s our Kinosei (health snack) is a bag of these tomato and cherry gummies. They contain a blend of natural collagen and lycopene to increase ones natural beauty. They also lower blood pressure, refresh the skin, and help ones heart. It’s also naturally refreshing.
Each bag is 94kcal. They are squishy-soft and jelly-like on the inside. They smell strongly of ketchup and sweetness.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
I kid you not, each time I smell these I cringe. I HATE tomatoes, but ironically I really like ketchup. Because of this, I was honestly afraid of this, the only reason I tried it was because I figured “it can’t be any worse than that Takoyaki ramune right?“
They’re actually not bad though; I was shook! I can’t really explain the flavor though, it’s like a cross between cherries and the acidicness of ketchup. Does that make sense? They’re have a neutral sweetness to them, and they actually are kind of refreshing.
A few years ago I saw tomato jelly (basically a jelly tomato) on cold noodles during the summer and thought “what a strange concept“, but now I feel like I understand it a little more...
Bourbon Sylveine Chocolate Cake
Tumblr media
To go with the holiday box, of course they had to include a holiday staple- that being a delicious cake! Everyone has a cake on Christmas in Japan, along with the KFC or home-cooked meal. Like a few other items this cake is by the brand Bourbon.
Each cake (or box, I’m not sure) is 102kcal. There are six cakes in total, so you could essentially use this as a dessert for a meal if you wanted :3 The cake is a soft, creamy yellow with thin sections of cream between the layers, and it is covered in chocolate and topped with something. I’m not sure what it is, but it reminds me of a raisin in taste and feel.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
These are delicious- they’re a lot like little snack cakes you can buy at the grocery store, in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if these are the Japanese version of them.
The cakes are very soft and squishable, but not soft enough that they can’t be eaten in your hands if you really wanted or had to. But the chocolate is super-melty and a little bit bitter in taste.
I don’t get to have fancy cakes as much as I would like to (nor can I make them just yet...), I couldn’t help but feel fancy eating these cuties~
Oh, and I did share them with my family, don’t worry.
Takoyaki Umaibo & Christmas Pizza Poteko
Tumblr media
I was pleasantly delighted by the variety of savory items we got, and surprised too. Our last time items are also savory :D including an Umaibo I’m not going to review because I’ve already had it.
I will say that I think it’s delicious though- way better than the horrible takoyaki Ramune drink. It doesn’t taste fishy, but I honestly can’t think of how to describe the flavor either. It’s covered in seasoning, and it seems to have a very thin, saucy layer or glaze, matching the sauce Takoyaki is usually covered in.
The last item, which I will review because it’s new is an item we get all the time, Poteko rings. You’ve seen these several times on here, but again, when we have a new flavor I’m more likely to be open-minded, and I was kind of curious because we hardly get pizza-inspired snacks.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
They strongly smell like cheese, but I actually didn’t taste pizza at all. To me (my mom agreed but my dad took some time to agree as well), it tastes like a McDonalds cheeseburger!
Like an exact cheeseburger from McDonalds. Bun, burger, cheese, ketchup, pickle and all. It’s very delicious, but it kind of made me wonder if they make burger flavored snacks...
♥ Cutie Ranking ♥
Content - 5 out of 5. I loved everything! There was also a nice change in that we had a LOT of savory items, and I thought they did well in terms of item variety. There was a bit of each thing.
Theme - 1.5 out of 5. Sadly I thought they did decently with this before, but this year was really lacking. I could feel the spirit on Christmas with the box, but if I didn’t know it was a Christmas box and didn’t get the one item with a Christmas wrapper I wouldn’t have been able to tell it was Christmas themed.
Total Rank: 9 out of 10. An awesome box, one of the best to have gotten I thought. All they had to do was focus more on the Christmas theme they were going for and I think it could have been a perfect 10.
♥ Cutie’s Scale of Yummy ♥
1. Burnt Caramel Taiyaki - Like I said, I’m not sure it tasted like caramel. But I really liked it! If I see it online I’ll definitely be buying it, I just hope the next one I get tastes as good, if not better~
2. Chocolate Cake - I’m glad we got six of these because they are very delicious~ My dad and I loved them, but my mom was less receptive since it reminded her of dark chocolate.
3. Strawberry chocolate chips - I like em, what more can i say :D
4. Takoyaki Umaibo - I may not be able to describe the flavor well but this one is a winner!
5. Mango Jelly Drink - I really liked this, but as I already warned- try not to smell mango items. They will either smell delicious, or like feet.
6. Cola Candy - I love cola, I love pop, I think fizzy candy is fun to try; I was a little surprised they were kind of sour though.
7. Apple Chocobi - Again, I was surprised by how much I actually liked these. Only because I’ve never been into Chocobi that much. They don’t taste bad, but I gotta remember to eat these before they go south (stale).
8. Pizza Poteko - I’m still convinced they taste like cheeseburgers, but they are good :P
9. Tomato & Cherry Gummies - I was really surprised by these!
10. Melon Bread Cookie - It was okay. I like melon, but for some reason I’m not too into melon-flavored baked goods. I love melon candy and drinks.
11. Potato Sticks - They don’t have a huge amount of taste but I still like them enough. I like the texture too.
12. Peas Mini Chips -  They weren’t bad, I just like other items more.
13. Sesame Cracker - I really did like it, but I wasn’t too crazy about the desert left in my mouth after eating it...

Cutie Reviews: Tokyo Treat July 18
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This months prize item features everyone’s favorite Lazy Egg Gudetama. Meanwhile, the Lucky Treat features a variety of dragon ball, kit-kats, Pokemon, and Korilakkuma!
Tumblr media
Uji Matcha Jelly
(see pic on top of the post!)
This interesting drink is vaguely similar to a melon jelly drink we got last year. But this is a different green drink- this one is made from matcha/green tea! There is a layer of green tea beneath a layer of creamy vanilla sauce. All you’re instructed to do is shake it to break up the jelly and mix the contents of the drink.
This is by the brand Jeleets and they have a website you can visit to learn more about the product! This specific drink is 32 kcal.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
I really like it’s texture. I love jelly snacks, drinks, etc- and the texture is so fun and different. However, I don’t like green tea so I can’t say it’s flavor appeals to me much. It also seems a bit watered down, but that might be the vanilla sauce. If you like green tea then you’d probably enjoy this.
Kit Kats - Strawberry Cheesecake or Cookie and Cream & Chocolate Mint Twigs
Tumblr media
Our first item is unique in that it’s a special kit kat best enjoyed when chilled. We also had a random assortment of cookie and cream or strawberry cheesecake flavor. It’s not obvious in the picture, but I got 2 strawberry cheesecake and 1 cookie and cream; which is fine with me because I’m a cheesecake addict~♥
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I liked the strawberry cheesecake flavor a lot more than the cookie and cream one; but they were both delicious.
This next item is a mint-choco snack by Morinaga, and there are 11 packets, each with 4 per-pack. Each pack is 31kcal.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
They’re okay. The package is adorable, and the twig/stick idea is cute. They do taste like mint-chocolate and they’re not terrible, but I can’t say they’re my favorite either. I mean for 31 calories per pack you’d be better off finding another, more filling snack. The crunchy texture is a bit... strange to me too.
Pineapple and Coconut Marshmallows & Okara Cheesecake Cookies
Tumblr media
Our next item is this fun perfect summer marshmallow snack; coming in coconut and pineapple flavors. The coconut is represented by a cute star shape, while pineapple fishies accompany them :3 besides eating them as is, you can also toast them, or make a dessert from the recipe the package provides. How cute!
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I was a bit worried and undecided with our third (fourth?) snack. I love marshmallows but I hate coconut. I didn’t know if I’d like half of this one, but I was surprised to discover how light the flavor is. If you eat a few at the same time it does get stronger, but for me it’s perfect the way it is~
Our other item is this... relatively plain in comparison cheesecake cookie. It has a fig-like texture, and you get 2 small wrapped cookies per pack, each one (or the whole pack I’m not sure) is 99kcal. Each one contains okara, fiber, calcium, 5 types of vitamins, and iron.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
It’s just okay. I get a very light sort of... lemonish taste, but it’s otherwise kind of dry and not too interesting. But if you like light tastes and want a nice chewy cookie with tea or something, I’d say it’s a good match.
Pretty Cure Chocolate Wafer
Tumblr media
I love Pretty Cure so I got really excited to see this. I really wish they included more magical girls in these boxes. Anyway, this is a chocolate wafer snack, they make them for all sorts of series. What makes this set special though is that it includes nail stickers~
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I know what you’re thinking, it’s super-thin so it’s probably not too good, huh? Well actually, it has a lot of flavor despite that. I love the light crispy texture of chocolate wafer snacks and Japan has found some way of making it delicious no matter what form it comes in~
Rich BBQ Potato Sticks & Poteko Potato Rings
Tumblr media
I think I’ll switch it up a little bit and start with the Poteko Potato snack because we get it pretty often don’t you think? This is the share pack item for the month, and each bag is 89.2 kcal. It’s a basic salted potato flavor.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
The flavor is delicious, the shape is cute and fun... but I’m actually rating this in the middle because I’m kinda tired of it. I hate repetition and we get a lot of these basic Poteko Potato snacks in this box. I understand that because there are new subscribers and not everyone gets the same stuff; but....
Anyway, let’s turn things around with this deliciously mouth watering orgasmic snack next~
If you can’t tell I’m in love with it~
The Rich BBQ Potato Stick snack is packaged in a way that you only need one hand to eat them. Although there is a warning on the back that you should be careful when ingesting them because you can hurt your throat or because they put something in the pack...?? I’m not sure, I tried to look but I didn’t see anything.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ +100
They’re so amazing I don’t even care it’s nearly 300 calories in this single bag! They’re delicious and remind me of yummy teriyaki jerky, and delicious barbecue~ If you see this you should pick them up!
Butter Toast and Sesame Biscuits
Tumblr media
Besides the share packs, we also get a party pack for this month! We get several packs of Butter Toast biscuits, and sesame biscuits. One of them is 144.2kcal per bag, the other is 139.9kcal.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
See, I love variety like this. I wish we got more stuff like these. They’re both pretty tasty- but I was a little disappointed by the sesame ones, which actually taste a lot like peanut butter to me. I like sesame seeds, but not peanut butter...
The butter toast ones are like a sweet buttery flavor. It’s simple, but pleasant.
Cheese Umaibo & Koikeya Tempura Matcha Salt Chips
Tumblr media
Cheese Umaibo, been there done that. I don’t feel like rating it again so I’ll just say ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ It’s still not my favorite, but it tasted better than before. I must be getting used to it.
Meanwhile, our next item is a little more exciting; it’s a uniquely titled chip to go with the rest of our potato snacks :D Each full bag is 323kcal and features the combination of delicious fried tempura, salt, and Matcha green tea.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
They taste like average salty chips. It’s a little disappointing- but perhaps I just don’t have a fine-tuned palette to notice the difference? The green coloring is fun though.
Konpeito & Grape Soda Gummy
Tumblr media
Konpeito are sweet little “sugar bits“ that come in a variety of colors inspired by beautiful flowers. You can even find flavored ones, and I see them all the time on Amazon too if you ever wanted to try them x3
The color we could get was a complete random- but what’s funny is that in one of my first few snack boxes we got Konpeito, and they were the same colors for me. The box had been Sakura themed.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
I mean who doesn’t love eating sugar? They dissolve quickly and are nice if you want a little sweet. I can’t say they’re anything super-special though? They are cute though.
Our final item is this large grape soda gummy. From the looks of it you might think it’s a sour gummy, but it isn’t. It’s a regular gummy and 39kcal; you could say it’s about the same as eating a pack of the choco-mint twigs.

This gummy is made to reflect a fizzy soda. I can’t say I really got fizziness from it, but it was delicious.
♥ Cutie Ranking ♥
Content - 3 out of 5. I liked nearly everything, but it felt kinda repetitive to me. We got the same poteko potato chips, the same cheese umaibo... I love getting savory items but most of them were just plain salty chips.
Theme - 4 out of 5. I mean I get it with their descriptions, but a lot of these also don’t fit the camping theme, but summer in general... but summer = camping. But a few didn’t fit either, at least to me.
Total Rank: 12 out of 15 Cuties. I really did enjoy the box; although there was a few items I wasn’t so crazy over. But the top ones I LOVED made up for them. At least there was nothing I found unbearable or outright detested this time.
♥ Cutie’s Scale of Yummy ♥
1. Rich BBQ Potato Sticks - Mouth Orgasm City~
2. Grape Soda Gummy - I love gummies, and soda, and grapes!
3. Butter Toast biscuit - I like butterfly flavors and it’s light saltiness made it taste even better.
4. Strawberry Cheesecake kit kat - I love strawberries, I love cheesecake. It was meant to be~
5. Koikeya Chips - Even though it was disappointing not to taste anything but saltiness, they were still good.
6. Chocolate Wafer - They’re always delicious- even if it’s super thin, it has a lot of flavor! I love it’s crisp texture~
7. Cheese Umaibo - Surprisingly, it was better than the last time! I think I’m still recovering from the June box cheesesnack though <_<
8. Poteko Potato - It’s fine, but I’m kinda tired of the plain, basic flavor.
9. Chocolate Mint Twigs - I wanted to love these more than anything. But they’re just okay.
10. Konpeito - Nothing special, but they’re fine just the same.
11. Sesame Biscuit - Not enough sesame, too much peanut butter taste DX
12. Cookie and Cream Kit Kat - it’s better than past Cookie and Cream flavored things I have. I normally love this flavor, but for some reason the Asian type I’m not crazy about.
13. Marshmallows - As much as I love marshmallows... I kinda wish they were all just pineapple, or maybe had a stronger flavor; or even none at all.
14. Jelly Drink - Nothing personal, I just hate green tea >3< I gave the rest of it to my mom. She loves green tea.
15. Okara Cheesecake Cookie - it’s not bad, but it’s just not my thing either.
Like usual, I will be following this review up with a review on the DIY candy that was included in the box. Be sure to stay tuned for that!
Until next time, stay campfire toasty cutie!
