#hi! im alive and back and etc.#six the musical #six the musical fanart #katherine howard #thinking of that post going 'i think eventually you become the person you needed most' and like maybe that's the thing with my art #this started out as a redraw and <improvement meme> i think i've finally reached the stage where i'm making the things that my younger self #aspired to create. like i can do this now! i've reached That level of technical skill! tiny me would be so proud. it's very gratifying #redraw from august this year actually. i've made a surprising amount of improvement HAHA maybe it was the adamandi stuff getting me #back into digital rendering. i think that obsession has quietly slipped away but yknow. one never truly leaves a fandom. just less intensit #also speaking of old fandoms! we're back with the six stuff haha. as of writing i'm in the midst of blog revamp- figuring out how to chill #multifandom status doesn't mean ditch all the old stuff ! but i do feel much freer and less stressed. i think hiatus has been good for me #notes on this piece particularly: redraw about cutting hair and thinking of the lyric above. also lowkey &j ref + pinterest poem excerpts #of female suffering. and maybe a dash of amanda heng let's walk inspo. this work is really just full of contradictions..#1. the mirror and cutting hair as an act of self liberation 2. the & is part of the lyric but also a nod to &j (in another iteration it was #pink but the white looked better) and like. &j is really all !!! girl power!!! etc. and i was like hmmmm. also matching pink shiny aes #3. the frame as a cage; the mirror as a self reflection idea (ie. saville's propped insp) but also as a sign of vanity. 4. sparkly costume #and pretty pose- read one too many poems about women feeling like they have to be pretty even in their suffering. something i wanted to #explore. and also in 5. the show itself... all you wanna do is. despite all the dancing and pink and sparkly the content of the song is #darker. and even though it's a story of her suffering it's still presented as a shiny fun pop song and ajshdhfhfh ok... 6. the lyrics fall #outside the frame. sort of a caught inbetween. sort of a trapped in the narrative and yet #within the frame it's all. vaguely handwavy breaking free vibes. like i said contradictions?#7. cutting off the long ponytail vs the pull my hair lyric at the end. yeah #8. the blocked off & looks a bit like scissors. positioned to cut right at the neck #anyways yeah irl remains hectic! but if i get around to more doodles they'll appear here :)

Doctor Who fandom has really opened my eyes to how negative I've been in the umbrella academy fandom for the past couple years and for that I thank them

#maybe it took being surrounded by negativity i couldnt find myself agreeing with but ty doccy who fandom for giving me the peace of mind #to reflect on how utterly negative ive been for years about a show i say i love #not to say some criticism isn't valid but i definitely wavered more to posting that than anything i actually enjoyed about it #like scrolling on this blog youd never believe i honestly enjoyed s3 because i never really talk about it beyind negativity #doccy who they could never make me hate you mentality really woke me up to this #even at its most alienating at its most bizzare and its most pretentious i love doctor who and i want to talk about the things i love #so yeah maybe this blog has become slightly multifandom but honestly for the best #still a hater but a hater that is resting a hater who wants to talk about the things theyre excited for rather than dreading

Don't get me wrong - I love being insane about it here with you lovely folks, but I need to be unhinged in more than one place, especially about "Unmortricken". And I can't do that until I no longer have to worry about spoiling things for people. The Struggle is real.

Second pic: Can you believe I've had this Spike Spiegel plushie for over two years and hadn't previously taken a pic like this with him? Even though Spike is and has been my main cosplay for a couple decades now? I know, I know: sometimes I am dumb. #Okay ramble in tags I need to get this off my chest #So uh. obviously due to the whole leaks and gloob situation of late #I haven't really been into ml as much as I was before (this would most likely change with episode 11 of course #Naturally I've been getting into a lot of other shows (knt horimiya yoi for example) and I think I am #Posting about them more frequently? For the past few weeks #But it's just that. Okay first of I've never been multifandom so this is so...new #It kind of makes me sad that I feel I am like. There is this change from my hyperfixations #Especially since ml was my first and biggest hyperfixation and the reason I made this blog and changed me SO much into who I am now #It feels kind of intimidating having to go through this change?#It also makes me so sad that I stopped giffing but I just. Can't bring myself to. Half of it is due to me trying to digital art and part of #It is just that every single time I try to gif in my phone it just crashes all the time and I just don't have the time for it...yet #So it just feels so strange and kind of uncomfortable even though I love all these other shows too (it actually would've been evident djsh)#But it also makes me feel confused because it just isn't the Same As Before #And I really miss the excitement season 4 gave me (and season 5 upto passion) and I just.#I really really miss ml this is such a confusing feeling and #It probably also has to do with the fact that most of these new hyprfixations are like. shows that are over ig? most of them have very #small Tumblr fandoms so they didn't really intimidate me #(sidenote but yoi is different because it is like. A huge popular show yet it was like 6 years ago with an active fanbase even now.
