Sometimes I just think about how small Clary is, she's described as small and short, multiple times. And her boyfriend is this tall buff (iirc he just keep getting taller in all his new appearances from other characters pov xD) guy.

Clary was sheltered up until the events of TCOB meanwhile Jace was getting raised by Valentine
Kit was forced to grow up quickly while Ty was babied by Julian and his family

I have a lot of empathy for Clary Fairchild, because I too am on the shorter side of average but somehow ended up surrounding myself with freaks of advanced height and ended up looking like a gnome by comparison
