Remember when I told that person who purports to be a Jewish history scholar that antisemitism didn’t have a dash in it and they ignored my ask and continue using “anti-semitism” to speak out against antisemitism? Yeah, me too.
So this is your reminder that if you’re referencing Jew-hatred, it is antisemitism — no dash.

Did you know that nearly everyone on that corset post you rebloged is a terf? (They are also wrong imperically and I'd be happy to provide academic sources to back me up if you are at all interested in exploring this topic it's a special interest of mine)
no i didn't know that. i don't go around checking everyone's blog especially when i'm at work going through tumblr. thanks for the heads up.
i did think it was odd cause i'd seen the opposite around. but i know nothing about anything so lol
anyway once again thanks ✌️

I was scrolling through your blog when you changed the name and suddenly i got booted of the page. I didnt panic though since it has happened once before but it was really weird
oh i had no idea tumblr functioned that way! in my nearly 12 years here that has never happened to me, but i tend to notice url changes hours to days after the fact haha. hopefully you weren't too far in endless scroll when it happened!

I'm so confused about the update for best friend dad but maybe I'm just dumb and missed something? And don't take it the wrong way. No hate.
First when did Fae start talking to us? I thought she was still mad? But now she seems like friends again? Did I miss something?
And how is she lactating? She hadn't even had the baby yet? Is that a thing? Or is it just made up for the story and we are supposed to go along with it? That seems inaccurate no?
Aww sorry you're confused! But yeah you must have missed the blurb I posted with Fae unblocking YN and they were starting to message each other again. It's in the dbf masterlist but here's the link! Read that and you'll be all caught up.
And pregnant women can absolutely lactate before giving birth hon! Just google it if you don't believe me :)
xoxo

Fun fact: The writers for Xena: Warrior Princess were instructed to write Xena's character exactly like Dirty Harry. Sure, The Bride with White Hair and Red Sonja were major influences on the show, as was the wuxia genre as a whole, but Xena specifically was Dirty Harry. "I have many skills" was her "Make my day." This was less noticeable as the character grew and found her own voice, but the Dirty Harry inspiration is cited in The Official Guide to the Xenaverse by Rob Weisbrot (which really should have received an updated edition by now...it only goes up to the second season).
you can instantly make a cool female character if you just take any stereotypically masculine character type and make him a butch lady. easiest trick in the book. you can try this at home

I’m watching H20 just add water for the first time since I was a child for nostalgia reasons. Rikki was always my favourite as a kid and only now am I realising she’s very lesbian/enby coded. Huh.

Haha, so I found a Netflix login sharing workaround. They won't let you "sign in while traveling" again after you're on a non-"home" IP addy for 30 days, but you can go over to the "home" with the approved wifi connection, log in on your mobile, then come back to your house, cast it to the TV, and voila, signed in again. I assume for 30 days like last time. I paid for Netflix for 15 years, I'm not doing it again. Me and the bestie each pay a few different streamers and share the accounts. No other companies have made it an issue yet. I've also started using Stremio for newer movie bootlegs, so no more torrent downloading like once upon a time.

TERF: Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist
However, that definition is incorrect, because TERFs are neither radical nor feminist.
Not Radical:
Believe in the importance of the current social order and gender roles.
Believe that many negative things about society are inherent and biological, that should not and cannot be changed.
Not Feminist:
Have very conservative ideas about gender roles, especially those of women.
Believe that people, born female, are inferior to those born male, whether it is physically (such as in sports) or intellectually (in business or direct competitions such as chess).
Believe that in inherent part of womanhood is suffering, and that that is not only definition to being a woman, but something that we cannot, and should not change.
Other issues:
The recent “Hogwarts Legacy” Game, while now much more inclusive, originally had several self declared, and openly proud, neo-Nazis on its production and direction team. They claimed, among other things, that the #MeToo movement was a moral panic and the sexual assault claims that came from it should not be taken seriously.
J.K. Rowling has unfortunately become an excellent case study of how right wing radicalization occurs over time, and unfortunately is by far the biggest funder of transphobic groups, and transphobia politics in Britain.
J.K. Rowling has recently begun to deny the atrocities of the Holocaust, starting with the claim that no trans people were affected.
In reality, both individual trans people, and the world’s leading institute at the time on gender-affirming healthcare and research were very deliberately targeted and burned by the Nazis as part of the early stages of their mass murder and destruction of culture.
so the average american is not aware of the controversy surrounding jk rowling, like this is a very online kind of knowledge to have. I mean that there are people who fully know I'm trans who talk about harry potter to me and there's no awareness of any of the discourse surrounding the work that's been going on for years, and idk where I'm going with this but sometimes there's a huge gulf between what we expect people to naturally know by virtue of us being on tumblr versus people who are not
