The Books of 2018
In 2017 I didn’t read much, instead I listened to podcasts.
So one of my goals for 2018 was to read at least 12 books (1 per month) and I’m proud to report that I went beyond that 🙂
🌟🌟🌟🌟 Artemis: The story is good but the writing is a bit weird sometimes.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 L’arabe du futur 3: A very good follow up on the first two. Still funny and still true
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 L’analphabète qui savait compter: A surreal adventure both fun and thrilling.
🌟🌟🌟🌟 Zealot: I enjoyed this account of the historical Jesus, the writing was sometimes too academical
🌟🌟🌟🌟 Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!: This autobiography introduced me to Richard Feynman and I enjoyed every bit.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 American Kingpin: The crazy story of the Silk Road, I highly recommend this one.
🌟🌟🌟🌟 Sapiens: A good overview on the history of Humans but sometimes the author takes some wild shortcuts
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Anna Karenina: The longest read of the year! It’s crazy how a book from more than a century ago can relate to our modern society
👎 The Subtle Art of not giving a F*ck: Great title but weak subject. The only upside is it made me Read Siddhartha.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Ready player one: don’t watch the movie, and read the book.
🌟🌟🌟🌟 Siddhartha: Short novel with powerful ideas.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Elon Musk: So much to learn about Musk and his companies. The man is definetly on par with Nikolas Tesla.
👎 The Monk who sold his ferrari: Not worth it
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The Three-Body problem: Best sci-fi I’ve read!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The Dark forest: Still the best sci-fi and the best one in the series.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Ghost in the wires: The autobiography of the legendary Kevin Mitnick.
