Breaking bad was actually only about the evils of the American health care system for 2-3 episodes max and after that it was about how a man will be so evil he’d rather start a meth empire and kill people and enact torture on his wife/son stand-in than accept help from someone who offered to give him a job with full healthcare

breaking bad is a good show to watch bc like it's a very good television show but it also makes you feel better about your ability to comprehend a story bc once you actually watch it it reveals how completely and utterly wrong most people are about the most basic shit like if you can understand the most basic themes you're already ahead of like 60% of people online

Something I've never told my friends but love about myself is that time I became a pirate queen. Like I uploaded every dnd 3.5e rulebook and like 13 core rulebooks to other games to this online book site and got like 600 followers before the site killed my account. I did this shit in middle school just so it'd be easier to read my dads rulebooks on my school computer and built like a mini piracy empire and it's probably my favorite accomplishment.

the way that walt and jesse treat the money they make from the meth empire is genuinely so fascinating. walt hoards it in every sense of the word: it's almost like he physically needs to have it nearby. he packs the walls with it, stores it in the crawlspace, rents out a storage unit that contains nothing but his massive cube of cash. the only time he guiltily tries to get rid of his money by burning it, he almost immediately puts the flame out as if he's feeling the heat himself. money is a visual manifestation of walt's success and domination, and he needs to see it, indulge in it, have it near to remind himself of his own excellence. meanwhile, jesse tries over and over to give his own money away. it eventually becomes worthless to him personally: he tosses it to others like its just monopoly money, seeing it only as a manifestation of his own wrongdoings. he literally just throws cash to the strangers partying at his house and out of the window of his car for strangers to find. he practically begs to give his money to drew sharpe's parents, kaylee, brock. he can't stand to have it near him. jesse just wants it gone. walt sees money as a sign of everything he's gained; jesse sees money as a sign of everything he's lost.

i feel like all the fics that have vader survive/get redeemed earlier and leave the empire should focus more on the insane withdrawal this man is going through. he had toxic waste mixed with meth mixed with LSD running through his veins at all times he is not acting normal
