I wanted to do something like this since last year but for some reason (most likely out of embarassment) I ended up skipping on it. Well, now I am cringe and free and here are some of the best first watches from 2024, allegedly one film per month but realistically it's all messy because I watched too many bangers in May.

Kaizo Hayashi Perfect Days (2023), dir. Wim Wenders Ulysses' Gaze (1995), dir. Theo Angelopoulos Seven Samurai (1954), dir. Akira Kurosawa The Beast Shall Die (1959), dir. Eizō Sugawa Throne of Blood (1957), dir. Akira Kurosawa The Bad Sleep Well (1960), dir. Akira Kurosawa Long Day's Journey into Night (2018), dir. Bi Gan Farewell, My Concubine (1993), dir. Chen Kaige
