kicking my heels yaaaay i love art i love drawing i love being on meds that make it possible for me to just sit down and draw for a whole hour at work i love composition

#ive been doing a lot of studies on the side while i chase down the final aliss style and its lead me in so many fun directions #the marker thing is part of that #i got a bunch of other brushes that same day but the only stuff i still use are the markers and one singular pen of 100+#....so that was worth the money i think #im going back for more paper textures and also just hoarding any interesting looking ones i find for free use online #writing is going well and drawing is going well im satisfied w my progress in both #now i just need to not be living where im living anymore and by god i might be a functioning adult artist #my boyfriend wants me to draw more and if hes up my ass about it all the time when we live together thatll be most of what i do #and ill be /glad/

#yeah i'm not dead woo let's celebrate #my art #kuroshitsuji #kuroshitsuji fanart #black butler #black butler fanart #grelle sutcliff #grell sutcliff #anyway i didn't draw SHIT for a good while and when i got back to it i suddenly hated using the flat marker brush???#it's part of what makes my signature distinctive so i used it for that but yeah i switched brushes #oddly enough i'm not hating the more textured look? it gets very pixelated at times but it's not awful #back to the signature- it felt weirdly nice to sign things again #i haven't in a while #if you're one of the very few people who also follow me on instagram you'll know i don't use it on there #and the only art i've been doing these days has been original work so yeah nothing on tumblr #and thus the words 'brain exhaustion god stan' have not been written by this comically large hand in a hot minute #enough rambling this is just grelle art because i love her and i know y'all love her too so i thought it would be a nice comeback piece

I know this is just a silly bad quality random screencap of a screencap that I found on facebook lol, BUT it's a succinct enough image to easily describe the concept in a quick/accessible way hopefully :

(especially elaborating about other senses as well.. can you "hear" in your mind just as well as you can "see"? taste? etc.) It's an interesting topic to me, as someone who's like a 4.5 at MOST lol. I'm curious what option will be the most common :0c )

#tumblr polls #hrmm... a little poll perhaps.. about a subject I find interesting.. since this image came across my facebook today #still really not feeling that well. no longer shaking violently and such but I still feel weird and weak much more than usual #They did say my markers for like infection or inflammation were elevated but that they werent sure of the cause so hopefully #it's nothing too serious. they did also say a lot of different things can cause that thing to be higher than normal but didn't go into spec #fics of what. maybe some of them are relatively benign or something. I still havent felt much back to normal since #I got really sick that one time though. I feel fine on and off but then little bouts of feeling weird and sick happen. hrmmm #ANYWAY.. looking for small ways to be productive. such as little doodles on evil ipad or editing game videos #or posting polls or cat pictures or some other like not very labor intensive things #I WISH I COULD FOCUS on writing HHRGGhh... I need to finish my game.. it would be so freeing.. a project that's been looming #over my head for like 5 years even though througouht that 5yrs I've probably spent a total of 3 months working on it lo.. ANYWAY #I still partially really cannot beleive that people CAN see stuff in their heads. There's always part of me that's thinking like. well mayb #e everyone DOES see the same exact thing but we just describe/conceptualize it so differently that we think we're talking about #different things when we're really not. But I have been assured by people I've talked to about it that they can GENUINELY really see #stuff in their heads like as vivid as an actual picture in real life or something. And the other senses are neat too. Like for exmaple I #can hear in my head much better than I can see imagery. I still CANNOT hear vividly like as if I were listening to actual music out loud..#but I think it's developed more than my sight. AND interesting how this varies the creative process. a friend I was talking to on the phone #said they write by literally just watching stuff play before them like a movie. where my process is COMPLETELY different. AND that affects #the content/what details we focus on as well as our individual styles of writing have differences that can be traced back to that.. hrmm

Tapu Fini shell design attempts

Okay so I made Tapu Fini in 2022, but I hadn't done the shell design yet (kept it as a blank purple shell) because I couldn't find a satisfactory way of doing it. Normally I like to crochet everything like color changes and little designs directly in the round instead of adding them on top. The Tapu line is probably going to be one of the few times I opt for adding the details on top because the shell is a flat piece so hiding the color change yarn ends is more of a hassle. However, idk if that means I'm going to get felt or try to yarn felt it or up my embroidery game or what, but I'm putting this back to the side again because it's annoying lol

#tapu fini #tapu fini shell #the beauty of in line color changes in amigurumi is that #1) usually you can just hide the yarn ends inside an enclosed piece #2) it is not as bulky and maintains a uniform look to the rest of the piece #3) i dont have to get other materials (felt. embroidery thread or floss or whatever)#but because this is a flat piece it's going to look clunky my normal way. so itd be better to do that part separate #another appealing but impractical idea is using a marker on top lol #oh! maybe a fabric paint or something? thats a thing i think. but also its not something i currently have and would need to acquire. booo

recently got to the whole "let's throw namatame into the tv" scene in my rewatch of p4a and it's like. holy shit yosuke was just so ready to kill. hands down. is he okay. does... does he need someone to talk to??? why is this poor boy filled with so much insatiable bloodlust, atlus

AHHHH I WATCHED THAT SCENE YESTERDAY TOO YOSUKE went so hard there, like damn son look at his fury!!! I feel like the anime did such a great job at capturing yosuke's sensitivity towards the injustice that happened to saki and nanako and how he flinches everytime it's brought up, and it really helped contextualise his reaction in that scene.

I also really liked how after Yu talks him down Yosuke says something like how he'll always be watching, anytime anywhere (unfortunately I don't have a screenshot of that and my safe file is too far from that date so)

It's interesting because it's also something that sticks - in p4au when Adachi shows up again and people around them are in danger, Yosuke is immediately on the offensive, charging forward without thinking.

I think it's one of those things about Yosuke that's very well written and something I adore. As a character strength, Yosuke is extremely protective of the people around him - he looks out for his friends and makes sure they're okay, buys them food to keep them happy, etc. One of my favourite lines from him is when you add him to the party and he says this:

But this is also a strength that when flipped as a flaw is one of overprotectiveness. He becomes reckless and forgets to think rationally, so he throws himself in front of danger without flinching because he wants to keep others safe. It makes him behave recklessly because he's single mindedly focused on getting justice for those who were wronged or for preventing any more harm being done, without any consideration for potential side consequences.

#i took an exam at 8.30 to 10. when the fuck home and got tattooed from 1 to like 5 #it was only like 2hrs of tattooing. mostly it was me having her redraw the lines a million times #the color is dark blue and i really like it. wasnt super painful bc i think i have pretty high pain tolerance #i could feel it most under my shoulder blade and a lil on the soft part of my inner elbow #glad i did it today bc i was feeling fucked up abt thr exam. bc the frustrating thing is that i think i could verbally explain the concepts #to u better than i articulated them in writing. idk grades dont really matter for me at this point but i still feel fucked up abt it #anyway. apparently markers stick really well to my skin bc i never go out in the sun lol #she had to scrub so hard and it would not come off with rubbing alcohol #unrelated
