Aftermath of a Full Moon

Remus' head had been pounding all day.
The sting from the frozen ice pack over his eyes was nothing compared to relentless pounding inside of his skull. It had been going on for hours now, creeping its way in as a mild headache early that morning to escalating to a full blown migraine attack as the day went on.
Now it was an hour past dinnertime, and Remus wasn't any better. Remus hadn't eaten a single thing that day, but with how horribly sick to his stomach he felt, he wasn't sure he would've been able to hold anything down.
This wasn't the worst migraine he'd ever experienced, but it was bad enough to knock him out of commission for the day. He had skipped all of his classes today, too exhausted and too miserable to even attempt to attend.
Remus was nauseated beyond belief. His eyes felt like they were borderline burning they were so hot. He was achy in his neck and shoulders -- and not to mention, the throbbing pain in his head hadn't let up in the slightest.
The most recent full moon had been a hard one. Some months were simply better than others, and this hadn't been the best...nor the worst.
Remus hated how inconsistent he felt after each full moon.
Some months he would bounce back in a day or so. Other months, the recovery could last for weeks -- and by the time he felt better, it was time for the full moon again.
This one was rough on him, and he was definitely feeling it.
He had been in bed all day. He was still wearing what he slept in the night before, and he was lying in nearly the same position that he was in when Sirius and James left for the day.
Remus hadn't seen a stitch of daylight that day. Both because there were a series of thunderstorms rolling through for the next couple days and because he had drawn the curtains, leaving himself in the dark for the entirety of the day.
Any kind of light or noise agitated him, and at this point, Remus was willing to do anything to make it stop. Remus had done nothing but lie still and listen to the rain and thunder. He knew it would pass, but that wasn't any kind of consolation when he was going through at in that moment.
Remus didn't have any clue as to what time it was. It felt like it had been days, but he knew that once James and Sirius returned, that would mean it was the end of the day.
You, James, and Sirius left early that morning when they caught on that Remus wasn't feeling well, and they hadn't been back since to give him some quiet and space. You were worried about him because it always broke your heart to see any of them not at their best.
Remus hadn't given any of you much of a proper interaction that day, which all three of you understood given how bad he was feeling. Still, Remus felt a tinge of guilt for being so distant.
As if on cue, he identified two heavy pairs of footsteps outside the door, which he knew meant the arrival of his two best friends.
Remus was glad his eyes were covered when they opened the door because the light beaming in might've pushed him over the edge.
"Hey mate," James spoke as quietly as he entered, knowing that any kind noise just made it worse. "Any better?"
Remus could only shake his head, swallowing hard and continuing to focus on his breathing.
"If you're still feeling sick," Sirius reached into the pocket of his robes to retrieve a small vial of a medium orange colored potion. "I snagged you a dose of this stuff. I think it's a hard swallow but will settle the nausea."
Sirius left it on the top of Remus' trunk that was on the floor at the foot of his bed, and Remus croaked out a thank you.
"Thanks, Pads. I'll get to it in a minute," He shuddered. "I'm scared to move."
Remus had finally found a position to lie in that was semi-tolerable. He hadn't moved an inch in hours, and he was beginning to lose sensation in his limbs.
Sirius and James left the lights off, using their wands to navigate the room.
You were always a bit nervous whenever Remus was having a hard time after a full moon. He was so sensitive in every aspect after a moon, you always worried you'd make it worse.
That's why you were extra quiet when you moved around and didn't say much -- and when you did speak, you were very soft spoken.
Remus hadn't heard you walk in because of this, and he was feeling bad for not paying you any attention for the last couple days...particularly today when he really went down for the count.
"Where's baby girl?" Remus asked, and your head perked up. "She in her dorm tonight?"
"No, she's here." James flashed you his movie star smile.
"Hi, Rem." You said softly, sticking close to Sirius and lingering around him.
"Hey pretty girl," He responded genuinely, but not even a ghost of a smile appeared on his face. "I didn't hear you come in."
You didn't say anything else, only listening to Sirius and James talk to Remus.
"We brought your assignments," James said, referring to what he had missed in class that day. "It's not that much. You'll have the weekend to do it."
"Yeah. And [Y/N] brought you some leftovers in case you get hungry." Sirius said.
You indeed were holding a wrapped plate of food from dinner, which you had forgotten about until Sirius mentioned it. You left it next to the potion for Remus to get when he wanted it.
"Thanks, bun. You didn't have to do that for me," He said, pressing the ice pack further down onto his eyes. "I'll get to it when I feel more settled."
"Drink that potion, mate." Sirius said. "Promise it'll work wonders."
"Why don't you take it to him, baby?" James suggested, and you silently obliged.
Remus heard your feet creep to the side of his bed, glass vial in your hand and uncorked. Remus reached his hand out, taking it into his grip when you placed it in his palm.
Remus raised his head just enough to gulp down the bitter potion, setting his head back down as soon as it was in his system. He handed the now empty vial back to you, giving your wrist an appreciative squeeze.
He noticed that you scurried away as soon as he dropped your hand, which only made his guilt of neglecting you worse.
"You're staying the night, yeah?" James asked you, referring to how you still had your school bag and shoes on.
You only nodded, setting your bag down gently next to Sirius' bed and unlacing your shoes to go with it. Sirius and James shared a look, both of them picking up on how you were acting.
And maybe, just maybe, you had a bit of a soft spot for Remus that was different from Sirius and James. Seeing Remus like this was hard on you.
And Remus knew he wasn't the most pleasant to be around after a bad full moon. He was irritable, short-tempered, and just overall not feeling well. And there had been a time or two where Remus had snapped at you or said something that hurt your feelings.
Remus always came around and had a conversation with you, apologizing and explaining that it wasn't your fault.
But all it took was one time for you to be pretty shut down when Remus was coming off a full moon.
They knew you were pretty reserved when Remus was like this, so they didn't think too much of it.
It was going to be a quiet night for everybody, since Remus was going to need the quiet and darkness to keep his head from exploding off of his shoulders.
The next hour or so went by, and the three of you were silent as you traversed through the room, choosing tasks that didn't require any noise or high energy.
James was stationed at his desk, using nothing more than his desk lamp to do his homework and work on some Quidditch things. Sirius was sitting on his bed with a deck of cards, working on some new trick he had learned from somewhere. You were laying on your stomach, flipping through a new Muggle novel that you had picked up from a friend.
Remus hadn't said a word, still lying flat with his eyes covered and head pounding. As the minutes passed, you couldn't stand to see him like this.
Most of the time, the best thing to do was to leave Remus alone and let it pass -- but it pained you to see him so pitiful. You closed your book, shifting to go to get off the bed. Sirius caught your gaze on Remus and knew what you were headed to do.
"Hey, pup." Sirius whispered, grabbing your ankle that was next to him to stop you from approaching him. "Moony's not feeling so good. Let's give him some more time, yeah?"
Remus heard Sirius, of course -- it was so quiet there was no way he couldn't. Remus couldn't deny you like that, not after he'd been so far the last couple of days.
"No, s'alright," Remus sat up very slowly, tossing the useless ice pack that was beginning to turn room temperature at the foot of his bed. "C'mere, bunny."
Your eyes looked to James, who only gave you a nod of approval. Still, you didn't move.
"I don't want to make it worse." You fiddled with your fingers, bending them nervously and hearing them pop.
"Not gonna make it worse, my love." He shifted to make room on his mattress, groaning at the aching in his muscles. "Come sit."
Sirius gave your backside a light tap, pushing you into motion. Your feet shuffled to Remus' bed, your body slowly crawling onto his mattress and snuggling next to him. He wrapped an arm around your waist, his hand resting on the outside of your thigh.
"You could never make it worse," He pressed a kiss to your temple, sighing as he held you close. "It was just a rough moon this time."
"Do you feel any better?" You asked.
Truthfully, he didn't. The potion had settled his nausea, but for the most part he still felt like he had all day. But he could tell you were worried, and he didn't see any sense in worrying you further.
"A little bit," He said. "I think I'll drink a dose of Sleeping Draught tonight and be good as new tomorrow."
Sirius was still shuffling his deck of cards, giving you a reassuring smile.
"He's gonna be just fine," He said. "Promise."
Remus nodded in agreement, chuckling when you snuggled closer to him. In a way, he felt better having you close to him. He always loved having you around, and knowing that you weren't sore with him made him feel better.
"I'm sorry I haven't seen you much this week," He apologized, kissing the crown of your head when you rested your head on his shoulder. "I owe you one, hm?"
"No, it's okay. I knew you weren't feeling well." You said.
"You're so patient," Remus laughed. "I don't know how you put up with us sometimes."
Sirius and James both laughed at that because they agreed...and found it ironic considering Remus was the least difficult of the three.
"Can I sleep with Rem tonight?" You asked James, since it was technically his turn to have you tonight.
Remus' heart did a joyful leap, but he looked at James for a response. It wasn't often that there was a change in the rotation, but there were special occasions where you wanted to switch it up -- and most of the time, it wasn't an issue.
"Up to you, mate. I don't mind." He grinned.
Remus looked at you, smiling at your eyes that were all lit up at getting to spend time with him.
"Sure, doll. How about you get one of your blankets from your dorm so you don't get cold tonight?"
The suggestion hung in the air for only a moment, a gentle reminder of the care that was woven into the fabric of your relationship. You were up on your feet in seconds, giddy with excitement as you rushed out of the room to make the journey to your dorm to return with what you would need for the night.
The three of them laughed at your eagerness, taking that as a sign to start winding down for an early night in.
Remus knew he needed to eat something before bed, since he would feel sluggish in the morning if he didn't. Remus reached over the end of his bed, taking his plate of leftovers into his lap.
"You sure you feel alright?" Sirius asked, reaching into his trunk to toss Remus a plastic utensil.
Remus caught it, and started taking small bites and chewing slowly.
"As good as I'm gonna feel tonight," He sighed. "A night of sleep should set me straight."
Remus hadn't realized how hungry he was, which wasn't surprising considering he hadn't eaten all day and had been preoccupied trying to get some relief.
"Do you need anything else?" James asked.
"Nah. I'm alright," Remus replied. "Just don't tell her I'm still feeling bad."
They understood what he meant. Remus never wanted to cause any trouble, and he definitely didn't want anyone making a fuss over him. If he needed help, he would ask.
Remus did his best on eating, clearing about half of what you had brought him from The Great Hall. It wasn't much, but it was enough to provide him some fuel.
Remus showered too, which was the most he had done all day. He stood under the stream of hot water, hoping it would melt away some of the tension and pounding in his head. It didn't do much other than refresh him a bit, but even that was a nice feeling to have.
Remus re-entered the dorm with a fresh T-shirt and sweats, laughing when he saw you were already snuggled and settled in his bed, curled up with your book to get a few more pages in before it was time to go to bed. Sirius and James were also in their beds, finishing up their tasks for the night.
"You always know how to make yourself at home, huh?" He teased.
You looked up from your book, a small smile on your face.
"I guess it's a habit now." You closed the cover and set it aside.
He moved towards his trunk, opening it and retrieving a vial of Sleeping Draught. He swallowed the dark blue potion with ease, hoping it would kick in quickly.
He moved towards the bed, the exhaustion from the day still evident in his movements. But there was a spark in his eyes now, a spark that hadn't been there before. He climbed into the bed next to you, his body sinking into the familiar comfort of his mattress.
His hair was still damp from the shower, the droplets of water catching the faint light in the room. He looked at you, his eyes reflecting a quiet kind of happiness.
He kissed your cheek when he pulled you close, whispering in your ear as you got settled.
"Did you tell Siri and James goodnight?" He asked, and you nodded.
"She did. With plenty of sympathy kisses for little Jamesie." Sirius laughed, and James launched a pillow at his face.
Sirius shrieked and continued to cackle and poke fun at James who really wasn't hurt in the slightest.
"You're fine, baby. Enjoy being with Moony tonight," James smiled genuinely. "I'll have you tomorrow."
You weren't listening much to their conversation. You were more focused on Remus, watching his eyelashes flutter as he kept his eyes closed to keep his head from pounding worse. He could feel himself growing sleepy, and he hoped that sleep would surely take him.
"Are you sure you're okay?" You asked, eyes wide and full of concern.
Remus had been asked that question for what felt like a million times that day -- but he appreciated the care.
"Yeah, my love." He kissed your forehead. "I am."
And Remus would be okay with a little more time. He would wake up the next morning with a clear and pain-free head, with nothing more than some mild fatigue and a desperation to see something other than the walls of the dormitory.
And over the next few days, he would spend his time making it up to you -- spending every spare moment he had with you and giving you as much affection as he could spare.
Remus would be alright. With you, he always would be.

You step out into the bedroom, your see-through babydoll dress swishing softly around your thighs. The silk stockings and garters you wore beneath it added to the playfulness and elegance of the shoot. For a moment, you hesitate – your breath catching as you meet Sirius' gaze.
Sirius' lips slowly curve as he takes you in. “Aren’t you a vision?”
Remus nearly drops his camera when he looks up to take a proper look at you. He clears his throat, quickly glancing down and feigning adjustment of his settings before taking another brief glance at you and offering a tight, polite smile.
“You look incredible.” His praise settles something inside you, steadying your nerves for only a moment.
Sirius leans forward and tilts his head, surveying his boyfriend’s reaction – a quiet exchange dancing between them. A muscle in Remus’ eyebrow twitches, causing Sirius’ nose to scrunch in a teasing, amused way – as though holding back a smirk. With an almost imperceptible sharp look, Remus shuts down whatever Sirius was seconds from teasing him about.
"Let's start, then." Sirius preens, passing you with a wink.
Tumblr media
Sirius was seated on the edge of the bed, scrolling lazily on his phone as he waited for Remus’ direction. You move behind him, your hands stretching to rest on his shoulders. His reaction is instant – with his face lighting up as he glances up at you over his shoulder. He sets the phone aside to reach up and lightly grab your hands.
“Stay just like that,” Remus instructs as your fingers curl over Sirius’ shoulders. The camera clicks, capturing Sirius’ easy charm and the way you hope your posture exudes a sensual allure. You shift – initially not meaning to – letting your hands smooth over the expensive cotton covering his chest. Sirius follows your lead effortlessly, turning his head just enough to make the moment feel more natural.
“Perfect,” Remus murmurs, stepping to the side to adjust his angle. “Keep going.”
The simple command to "keep going” had lead to even more provocative poses. You lay horizontally across the bed, propping yourself up on one elbow, your other hand resting delicately on the bedspread. One leg crossed over the other, the line of your garter and stockings perfectly accentuated.
Sirius kneels behind you, his weight balanced casually as he watches you settle into the pose. You can feel the warmth of his presence without needing to look back, and your mind goes fuzzy again. The anxiety from earlier begins to creep back in, taking you out of the confidence that you were finally picking up on.
The sudden knitting of your brows causes Remus to pause and lower his camera. He takes a half-step forward, preparing to ask if you need a break. But you take the initiative, grabbing Sirius’ tie and pulling him closer. He blinks, his hands instinctively coming to rest on your hip to steady himself. All you can think about is the warmth from the contact – the warmth of his hand twitching against your skin involuntarily.
“Sorry,” he mutters reflexively, though the apology softens by a grin when he sees the mischievous glint in your eyes. His voice threads with approval as he purrs, “Look at you.”
The corners of your lips twitch. “You said to commit – so I am.”
His grin softens, veering into something more genuine.
“That I did.” His gaze dips to where your fingers still grip his tie, and his voice drops to a whisper. “You’re doing well.”
After a few clicks and flashes from the camera, Remus clears his throat softly.
“That’s beautiful,” he says. “But less chatter, more action.”
Sirius barely glances at Remus, his focus locked entirely on you. “You heard the man.”
You roll onto your stomach, bringing Sirius down with you. After the hours of working with each other, you’re at that point where what would’ve been mortifying is now… comfortable. At least, as comfortable as posing in your underwear for a camera can be. His forehead presses onto the side of your head, his breath warm against your cheek when you arch into him. He moves his hips back before you can truly feel him, and you quickly push down your disappointment. You try to hold the pose as the camera flashes furiously, but every inch of your body felt alive with tension. Sirius was so close, yet clearly afraid to press too hard.
“Closer,” Remus commands, the instruction soft but firm and traveling straight down your spine. “Let it be real.”
Sirius hesitates for what seems to be the first time as he gingerly shifts forward. The air in the room grows thick when you feel his hardness pressing against you. It’s a natural reaction, you tell yourself. Just like mine is.  You were prepared for this – your agent and the countless articles on photoshoots like these had told you so. You just weren’t prepared for the reality of the persistent ache between your thighs, and his very real erection. Remus hums in approval, and you’re not sure if he’s unaware or purposefully fueling the fire between you and the body above yours. For your own sanity – you hope he’s unaware.
“Exactly like that,” Remus adds, his tone somehow grounding you while making your pulse race even faster.
The rhythmic hum of his camera fills the air, punctuated by the occasional beep. The sound echoes inside your mind, blending into the rapid beating of your heart and the warmth spreading across your chest. You’re not even sure when you rolled onto your back – but you were aware of how this looked. Sirius leaning over you, his hand grazing your waist as you stretch beneath him.
Your arm rests on his shoulder, and your leg bends, brushing against his hip. His weight is carefully distributed, making sure not to push any boundaries you are disappointed in the existence of. Sirius tilts his head, his dark hair falling into his face – and for a moment – it is impossible to tell whether it is part of the pose or something entirely unscripted. His hand slides an inch higher on your waist, rucking up your sheer garments under his fingers. He moves his hand as to not touch your skin, his thumb brushing a lazy circle through the delicate fabric.
“This okay?” he asks quietly, and you can hear the apologetic note in it that made your chest tighten.
You nod almost immediately as you meet his gaze, your breath hitching. “Yeah. It’s fine.”
His lips curve into a small, almost shy smile that was as uncharacteristic as it was sweet.
“Good. Tell me when…” But his voice trails off. You know what he means; you don’t want him to stop.
“Alright,” Remus’ voice cuts through the charged silence, and there was the faintest edge of amusement there. “If you’re going to continue looking at each other like that, you might as well stop pretending it’s for the camera.”
Sirius freezes, his gaze flicking toward Remus, though his hand doesn’t move from your waist. You are just as still – heat flooding to your cheeks as you attempt to process what had just been said.
“Excuse me?” Sirius says after a beat, his usual quick wit faltering.
“You heard me,” Remus replies, stepping out from behind the camera. His movements are smooth and unhurried, and the calm in his voice was somehow more disarming than if he’d made a joke. “Go on. You’re already halfway there. Might as well finish what you’ve started.”
The words hang in the air, but nobody moves. Sirius opens his mouth as if to respond. But then his attention is brough back to you. His expression is unreadable, and you trust that yours is too.
“Be honest with me,” he whispers, removing his hand from your waist to give you room to flee. “Because I don’t want to stop unless you do.”
You’re stunned into silence as you search his face for any sign of doubt or humor. But there is none – just a quiet patience that makes you feel safe, even as your nerves web with the undeniable pull of desire. Slowly – tentatively – you lean forward, your lips brushing against his. Sirius tilts his head, deepening the connection and igniting a spark in your chest. Warmth travels through your entire body, his hand going back to squeeze your waist. Your head dips back onto the mattress as your tongue moves against his.
“That’s good,” Remus murmurs. The approval in his tone makes you shudder, and you pull back just enough to glance at him.
His gaze softens – not just on Sirius but on you – and before you can process it, he moves toward the bed. He kneels beside you, his fingers brushing along your cheek.
“You’re captivating,” he said with a faint smile. “The way you move together—it’s mesmerizing.”
Your lips – already wet from Sirius’ kiss – part as he leans in to bridge the gap. It’s feather-light at first until your lips move against his. In response, he presses closer – though still contrasting with Sirius’ heated energy. Remus’ kiss is a steady, powerful pull that reaches further than your lips. Sirius’ thumb continues to trace small circles at your waist against the rising tension.
“Absolutely breathtaking,” he said, his eyes flicking between you and Remus.
When Remus finally pulls back, his lips hover close to yours. His expression was awash with a reverent wonder that makes your pulse skip.
His hand cups your cheek gently as he whispers, “Does this feel right to you?”
Swallowing, you nod, words barely finding their way past your lips. “It does.”
At your affirmation, Remus smiles and turns his head toward Sirius. The two of them exchange a look that speaks volumes – more than words can convey – before Sirius eases back onto his heels.
“Alright, lovebirds,” he teases lightly. “Move over, yeah?”
You laugh softly, nerves and excitement blending into a flutter in your chest. Sirius shifts back on the bed, bringing you closer as his hands plant firmly on either side of your thighs.
“Raise up a bit for us, gorgeous.”
You push yourself up on your elbows as his words dip low enough to have you exhaling shakily. The weight of their attention settles over you as Remus moves onto the bed more fully. His hand rests lightly on Sirius’ shoulder before he places it over yours.
“Look at you,” Sirius admires, his eyes raking over you. “Utterly stunning.”
Remus’ hand slides down your arm, his thumb grazing over your wrist as he adds, “And so patient with us, too. You’re lovely.”
Your heart races, your mind now gone to mush from arousal. But a part of you still hesitated.
“You’re both okay with this?” you ask, your voice barely above a breath. “I don’t want to ruin anything…”
“You’re not—” Remus’ thumb stills its movement as he briefly looks to Sirius. “We want this – if you do.”
Sirius gave a small, almost nervous smile, his voice unusually tender.
“We’re in the same boat here – this is uncharted for us, too. We’re… figuring it out as we go. But we’re here with you. If you want to stop, just let us know.”
Their reassurances melt the last bit of doubt you’ve been holding onto. You’re unsure of how to respond without sounding too desperate. Sirius brushes his thumb along the curve of your knee as the cogs whir in your mind.
“I’m here,” you finally say, attempting to meet both of their gazes. “For this. I mean… yes.”
Sirius’ grin widens, his hands sliding along your thighs, stopping just short of the undergarments that barely covered you. Remus shifts closer, his hand steadying your back as he whispers against your ear.
“Let us take care of you.”
The weight of their attention – their words, their touch – it is almost too much, yet not enough. Your chest rises and falls quickly, your body caught between nervous anticipation and desperate want.
The fabric of the babydoll dress feels weightless against your skin, but under their gaze, it might as well have been nothing at all. Sirius’ hands skim along your thighs, his fingers curling around the hem where the gauzy fabric met bare flesh. He wets his lips – betraying his worry – his eyes flicking up to meet yours.
“Please,” you urge him.
The moment stretches until Sirius moves, lifting the hem higher. The cool air ghosts over your skin as the thin garment slides up and over your head, leaving you in little more than lace and silk. His hands hover just shy of your hips, his restraint is evident.
Remus brushes the back of his knuckles along your jawline, tilting your face so your eyes meet his. He leans down, pressing a lingering kiss to your temple.
“Beautiful,” he murmurs, his breath warm against your ear. “So beautiful.”
A tremble runs through you as Sirius lowers himself onto the bed. His eyes are calculating and somehow still wild, his fingertips tracing an idle path down to the curve of your thigh. “Still with me, Moony?”
“Always,” Remus replies. His hand slides to your cheek, thumb brushing over the apple of it as he guides your attention back to him. The corner of Remus’ mouth quirks up when he notices your needy expression. “Go on, Padfoot.”
Sirius lets out a breathy laugh, his grin holding all its usual mischief. “You’re really enjoying yourself up there, aren’t you?”
Remus chuckles but doesn’t take to the bait, his focus staying on you.
“She deserves to feel worshipped,” he says simply, his fingers continuing their gentle path along your cheek and jaw. “And you need to stop talking and start showing her.”
The words have you squirming just as Sirius lowers himself further, anticipation curling in your stomach. He kisses the inside of your knee first, the softness of his lips igniting a spark that travels up your leg. His hands splay over your thighs as he presses a trail of slow kisses higher. Remus’ voice stayed low in your ear, his words the soothing counterpoint to the fire Sirius was stoking.
“You’re doing so well.” His lips brush the shell of your ear.
Your breathing hitches as Sirius’ mouth finds the sensitive skin just above the edge of your lace underwear. His hands slide down your thighs, steadying himself as he presses his lips just above the waistband. His eyes flick up to you when you whimper – dark and full of intent – before he glances at Remus.
“Like this?” Sirius asks almost playfully.
Remus’ hand slides down to your shoulder, squeezing gently. “Perfect.”
Sirius’ lips continue their descent, his hands anchoring you in place as he draws closer to the dampened spot on the smooth silk of your underwear. You shiver when his breath hits your arousal and finally let out a moan when he slowly licks a stripe over the fabric.
“Does this feel good?" You ignore the teasing lilt in his voice as he asks you this.
You nod, a breathy “Yes” escaping before you can second-guess yourself.
Sirius chuckles under his breath before lowering his head again, lapping and tasting you through your garment. His hands slide under your thighs, lifting them slightly to give himself better access. The intimacy of his touch sends a wave of heat through your body, and you can’t help the soft sounds that tumble from your lips.
You can’t find the concern to care that this isn’t even your lingerie that you’re wearing – they were only for the shoot. But Sirius’ tongue is so hot, and the fabric is so delicate that you’re starting to get dizzy. Remus whispers praise in your ear as Sirius continues his ministrations, Remus’s thumb brushing along the corner of your mouth.
Sirius raises his head from between your thighs to briefly fumble with pulling your underwear to the side. You weren’t prepared, and the barest hint of air against your folds has you whining. He doesn’t waste another second, gliding his tongue along your slit. You hadn’t even noticed that Remus had pulled your hair back to press his lips and draw softly at your neck. Your eyes flutter closed, consumed by the sensations. When you moan again, you’re met with the vibrations of an open-mouthed hum against your heat.
Sirius’ lips finally wrap around your clit, sucking gently, and it’s completely overwhelming. Your breaths come out in quick pants at the heat and deliberateness of his mouth, each movement precise yet filled with a hunger that’s impossible to ignore. Your hips rise to meet his mouth when he pulls away for only a second. Remus catches the movement, his hand slipping to your back to support you, still guiding his lips against your skin. You’re not even sure how you’re still sitting up.
After a few seconds of bliss, Sirius raises his head again, causing you to groan and Remus to chuckle.
“We aren’t keeping you from another shoot, are we, darling?” he asks, the roguish curve of his lips glossy with his spit and your arousal.
“No,” you respond, shaking your head after finally catching your breath. “No, you’re not.”

Word count: 1.2k
“ I want her so bad” Sirius groans softly watching as you laugh along with Lily and Marlene. Remus who had been reading had promptly stopped as he had watched his boyfriend look at the girl who they had both been crushing on as of late. You were in the same year as them, a beautiful and smart Ravenclaw who just so happened to waltz in the boys life and change them forever.
“If you keep starting at her she’ll think you’re a creep” Remus tells his boyfriend
“She’ll think about me !” Sirius gasps, Remus shakes his head at his gasp
“ You really need to stop”
“Why won’t she look at us “ Whines Sirius sitting next down next to Remus who was quick to wrap his arm around his waist and pull him closer.
“Don’t know love” He plants a kiss on his neck making Sirius shiver.
“Do you think she even knows our names” The young Gryffindor pouts.
In all honesty Y/N did know Remus and Sirius, how could she not? The famous group, the marauders. Known for pulling pranks and bringing fun to Hogwarts, it was hard to miss such a group.
Remus and Sirius especially, god were they gorgeous. Remus with his beautiful brown eyes that seemed to be lit by the sun itself, his curly hair that was always curled to perfection, his old soul which was so kind and oh Merlin’s beard was he so smart. The few classes she had with him where she would hear him answer the professors question’s correctly and even sometimes add even more information made her Ravenclaw heart swoon.
Sirius Black, oh Sirius Black. He captivated everyone’s heart. His unique grey eyes and long hair, and that smile. That Sirius Black smile. Charming is what he is, suave with his words having anyone flustered and blushing when Sirius would flirt with them. Everyone wanted him or wanted to be him. But only Remus Lupin was lucky enough to have a slice of whatever Sirius was offering but god did he want top give a piece to you.
You the beautiful creature who captured their hearts when Lily walked into the common room that fateful day. You both were working on a project for Potions. Both of them were awestruck by you. Swearing they had never seen someone as beautiful as you. They knew then and there that they wanted you, the question was how?
It seemed like any time that they wanted to see you, you were scurrying away, off to the library, your dorm or somewhere else where they could not reach you.
One time when Sirius was walking with James after heading back from quidditch practice. Then a sudden figure zoomed right past them, it was you. Sirius blinked and he turned to look at you as you left, he wanted to say something but by gods were you quick. As you turned the corner and disappearing from his sight he promptly fell to his knees.
“Come back my love PLE-“
As you had turned the corner, you stopped swearing that you had heard something
“Must of been the wind” you muttered to yourself.
It was not in fact the wind but none other than Sirius Black dramatically on his knees clutching his chest, the other hand reaching out for you.
“Mate get up this is embarrassing” James muttered
Truth is- you’re painfully shy. Having a crush on Remus Lupin and Sirius Black the it couple right next to Lily and James was painful, for so many reasons. One being the most obvious, they’re both together and you were no home wrecker. Two you could not imagine even being friends with them. They were so different from you, in a good way.
While you were more quiet and reserved, staying in your dorm to read and study. You enjoyed your me time more than anything. Parties at Hogwarts were something you rarely attended, given the fact that you didn’t drink or dance. The few times you did go was because a friend’s or Lily had dragged you. You would see both boys at these parties and they were the life of the party there was no way they would look over at you and want you, at least that’s what you’ve told yourself thus far.
It was far from the truth. Remus and Sirius both yearned for you silently or at least remus did, Sirisu was alwasy loud about those he cared about.
But enough was enough, both of them decided that they were going to get your attention one way or another.
As you exited you class, you sighed as you slinged your bag on your shoulder, the bag was heavy a reminder of all the homework you had to do.
"Ok I finish reading chapters one through twenty and then I can start my essay and give my self enough time-" you muttered to yourself but promptly stopped as your eyes landed on two figures. Remus and Sirius. Quickly and without blinking you turned your heel and began to walk the other way.
"No wait- hold on love" you heard Sirius voice as he catched up to you, now this is the one time you cursed Sirius and Remus's great hieght becasue with a couple of strides they had already caught up to you.
"Dove please" Remus said almost pleadingly. The nickname made you stop walking. The boys both next to you.
"Merlin's beard, your worse than a snitch, I don't even think James would be able to catch you" Sirius huffed in light laughter, Remus smiled soflty.
"We've been looking for you " said Remus
"You have?" you responed in a quiet voice
"yes love, for what feels like an eternity-"
"two months" Remus corrected
"felt like forver to me" huffed Sirius his lips almost pouting
"what for?" you ask
"well we wanted to ask you something actually" Remus started
"We want you so bad" blurted Sirius, now that made you completely freeze up.
"Sirius we said we were going slow" hissed Remus, swatting his partner gently on the shoulder.
"I can't- this will not be a slow burn love, I will not allow it" He shakes his head before grabbing your hand.
"Love, please we've been going crazy without you, you drive us insane and we want you in all ways possible, please let us treat you right, we won't ever hurt you and your days will be filled with love and passion-"Sirius's love declaration was cut of by his boyfriend.
"Pads you're scaring her" He says as he had been wacthing your reaction and it was all wide eyed and he wore you had stopped breathing for a moment. Sirius quickly shut up, the quickest Remus had ever seen him. After a moment of silence you finally spoke.
"You want me- you both want me ?" you sputtered finally breathing again
"Most ardently" Remus answered. You look between both boys, whom you've had been crushing onf for so long, who you had never ever in your life believed that they would ever look at you in that way but here they were. Sirius basically on his knees begging you to talk and Remus with his beautiful eyes asking, no pleading for a positive response. You drew in a deep breathe before answering.
"I want you guys too" You confess
"Praise Merlin and David Bowie she said yes Remus!" exclaimed Sirius.
"Yes I heard her love thank you" chuckled Remus who was now looking you fondly. Sirius who was still holding your hand gave it a small squeeze.
"Did you hear how Remus pulled a Mr. Darcy on you "

your abt to tell me sirius hasn’t used sex pollen in his tea.. i mean i see him as a total tea addict and the thought of him doing it without you knowing is just🥴🥴
Look i dont know who has been poisoning your mind and telling u that wont happen, but i am here to make corrections.
Lets get this straight, Sirius doses himself ‘accidentally’ all the time, just to pin you down and lament that he “can’t help it, dovie,” and “you’re like it, i know you do, fuuck you’re squeezin’ so tight,”. It’s kind of liberating for him, actually, to not have to think about what he’s doing, but to just do it. Plus, there’s the added bonus that the effects of the pollen can last for hours, which means he gets to have you nonstop for so long without having to take a break.
So, one day maybe he decides to try it on you. Not much, mind you, because you’d never felt the effects before, and he had no idea how much it would do to you. He’d make tea for the both of you, with his untainted (just for the first time, he needed to make sure you’re okay), and watch as you drain every last drop.
Fifteen minutes later and you’re completely incoherent, grinding relentlessly against his denim-clad thigh and babbling something along the lines of ‘please’ and ‘needit’. You grow frustrated very quickly with the button to his jeans, resorting to just tugging on the waistband as you make yourself cum on his leg for the second time in as many minutes.
Sirius would eventually take pity on you and pull his cock out of his jeans and present it to you. You grin so widely Sirius is sure you’re going to split your lip, but you don’t pay him any mindas you shove your pyjama shorts to the side and sink down onto him. The second your hips meet, your pussy convulses around him creating a ring of creamy release around the base of his cock.
“Fuckin’ hell, sweetness, you’re even tighter than you always are,” his calloused fingers dig into your plush hips and anchoring you to his body. You struggle against his hold, adamant to start grinding against him, trying desperately to get the friction you need, causing Sirius to hiss at the stimulation, “Jesus, just slow down a little, honey, I don’t wanna cum just yet,”
That did nothing to dissuade you. In reality, the second he mentioned him cumming, you let out a very uncharacteristic growl as you push him flat to the worn sofa cushions and raising and dropping your hips with a desperation he’d never seen from you before.

annual christmas parties… and punches! ✸ regulus black
summary. you bring regulus to your familes christmas party. hugs are given. songs are sung. punches are thrown. kisses are shared.
pairings. regulus black x potter!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Regulus Black knew of parties, of course, his family had thrown a lot of them but this was different. The boy sat in the living room watching you as you stood in the hallway talking with a family member, everyone was getting along, everyone seemed comfortable. Sirius was even comfortable enough to be snuggled on the couch with Remus as they talked to the Potters family.
Regulus Black had never felt so out of place.
You noticed when you looked over your aunts shoulder, his fingers gripped onto his drink. Him constantly looking around, Marlene had left him apparently. You excused yourself from you aunt and made your way back to him.
You smiled as you approached him, “Hi, my love,” Your voice was quiet as you sat beside him. He smiled back, “Hi,” his voice was quiet but sad, causing you to frown. You so badly wanted to reach out and grab his hand but now his brother and Remus were approaching so you brought your hand back to your lap.
“Hey, little brother.”
Regulus head snapped up, he was still getting used to being close with his brother, “We’re going outside to… yeah.” He stopped to say smoke but your family was behind him, Sirius was hinting for him to join so you nudged him before you stood up.
“Bring spray, mom will kill you if you bring that smell in.” You said patting his shoulder as you walked away, Regulus stuttered as Sirius pulled him up. You looked over your shoulder to see that Regulus was giving you pleading eyes.
“Sweetheart, your mom needs help with the food,” your father said as he passed you. You smiled walking to the kitchen. When you entered she was looking out of the small kitchen window, she was smiling causing you to look.
Regulus was laughing with the boys causing you to smile too, “You love him, hm?” Euphemia said from beside you making you snap your head to her, she was looking at you with her knowing look.
“Wh-wh—“ you choked on your words as she tilted her head, “Yeah, I think I do.” You whispered as she cooed bringing you into a hug, you groaned as you fell onto her chest with a smile.
She pulled you away with a smile looking out the window before at her daughter again, “I’m glad because you’re happy but also because you’re showing him true love.” She spoke grabbing your face, you smiled.
“Now c’mon, help me with— oh my god, James!” She cut herself off with a yell causing you to jump, you followed her eyesight out of the window again but James stood in front of Regulus with his fist clenched as Regulus held his face, as everyone inside and outside started at them in shock, Regulus punched James.
That sent you out of shock as you ran outside, pushing James as he stepped towards your boyfriend again. “Stop,” you yelled as Sirius walked past you to his brother. James glared at you pushing your hands off of his chest.
“Merlin, sunny. Him?” His voice was full of disgust as your parents walked out of the house, “James!” Fleamont gritted out as he approached his kids, you stepped back with tears in your eyes. “Whatever it is, you couldn’t have waited until everyone left?” Your father stepped in front of James as your your mother grabbed your arm.
James shook his father’s hands off, “Whatever it is, she is dating him, dad.” Your brother pointed at Regulus, looking back at you. He shook his head in shame making the tears fall.
“Okay, chill out, Prongs.” Sirius stated, James scoffed.
“Chill out? You have no problem with this?”
Euphemia snapped her head to look at Sirius, “do not answer that.” She scolded , Looking at her husband, “Deal with him.” Looking at James, you hated the feeling as you walked into your home and your family staring at you. You heard the yelling outside as your mom brought you into the kitchen.
“You didn’t tell him?” She spoke softly, bringing her chair closer to soothe you.
You breathed out, “I never knew how, I wanted to, I did. But he has no right to act like that towards him.” You said, your mother could feel your emotions flowing through you but mostly anger.
“Sweetie, I know, he does not but please take a deep breath in,” she said waiting for you too, once you did she smiled. “Now out.”
The kitchen door opened, “Oh, darling.” You mother cooed, you looked up seeing Regulus with Sirius standing beside him, Remus stood awkwardly behind them. Euphemia left your side to care for Regulus who avoided eye contact with you, you watched his every movement as Remus took your mother’s seat. You flinched when Regulus would wince, Remus grabbed onto your hand.
The door opened once again but you didn’t look, “sweetheart,” you fathers voice caught everyone attention. “Go talk to your brother.” He said, you gave him a look.
He gave you a look, everyone in the kitchen knew you and your father could talk through looks for hours, Sirius was freaked for the first time when he witnessed it.
He cleared his throat, “enough with that, sunny. Go.” His voice was stern, you rolled your eyes but stood up. Fleamont smiled as you walked passed him, he made sure to listen for the back door before he sat down.
You shut the door behind you looking at your brothers back, he knew it was you, he always did but this time he didn’t turn around.
“I really don’t wanna talk to you,” he said without looking at you, you bit your lip.
“Jamie, I’m sorry.”
“It doesn’t mean anything, please just go.”
Your eyes filled with tears, he had never once told you to go. Yeah, you two had fought— sometimes literally, never had he been like this and it made you feel horrible. You opened the door, one of your cousins called your name, you put on your best smile as you approached them, luckily no one asked about what happened for the rest of the day. You were grateful but now as everyone left, you looked for Regulus and he was nowhere to be seen.
“Mom, have you seen Regulus?” You asked as she sat beside you, she shook her head. You frowned looking at James who was back to smiling and laughing with his friends. You mother watched, she hated when her kids argued but this was the worst she’s ever seen it and she’s seen a lot.
You and your mother watched as Sirius and James did horrible karaoke to Christmas songs, you grimaced as they made everyone join. You snuck out of the room as they began to sing, horribly at that. Seeing Regulus through the windows, sitting outside in a small jacket as he watched the snow.
He looked up as you opened the door with a shiver, you said nothing as you sat beside him. The two of you sat in silence for a few minutes before you spoke up.
“I’m sorry,” you murmur afraid if you spoke louder you would start to cry again. Regulus looked at you but regretted it when he met your teary eyes. “It’s not your fault,” he whispered. You smiled softly, “kind of is.”
He laughed under his breath, “Kind of is, but also mine.”
You laughed, “you’re not mad at me, are you?” You dared to ask, he looked at you again with a shocked look. “Why would I be mad at you? Your brother punched me.” He smiled but you frowned, he brought his hand to your face, it was freezing but you didn’t say anything.
“My love, I’m not mad at you. I’m hurt… I’m hurt because your brother doesn’t approve of us and I was terrified that if he didn’t that you would leave me.” He confessed blinking hardly, you stared at him.
“Love, I would never— is there something in your eye?” You asked looking at him oddly, he rubbed his eyes harshly. “Something like that.” He mumbled, you moved his hands from his face.
“Are you crying?”
Regulus let out a scoff wiping his face, “wha- no! I think snow fell in my eye.” He sputtered out, you laughed.
“You’re crying! Holy shit. You’re crying at the thought of me leaving you.” You wanted to laugh and cry at the thought of, Regulus tried to deny but ended up letting his head fall onto your chest as you wrapped your arms around him. “Yeah, I am.” He admitted though it came out muffled, you smiled kissing his hair.
The two of you sat with each other for a while until he said something, “Love, I can’t hear you.” You spoke as he brought his head up.
“I’m freezing, your skin is cold.”
You laughed as he sat up, “I’m cold because it’s snowing out and my freezing boyfriend is laying on me.” You said grabbing his hand to pull him up. He intertwined your fingers after he stood up, the two of you walked into the house hearing laughter upstairs.
Your parents saw the two of you, “Sweetheart,” You looked at your mother who jerked her head. “Go upstairs and warm up, I’ll be there in a second.” You said pecking Regulus’ lips letting go of his hands as you approached your parents. They both said nothing as they looked over your shoulder.
“What?” You laughed looking over your shoulder, your laughter faded away seeing James sulking on the couch. He had a drink in his hand but just stared at it, you bit the inside of your cheek. Turning around your parents looked at you, without saying anything they told you to talk him, again.
You turned around, James looked at you but quickly turned back— he actually turned his body away from you making you laugh as you sat beside him.
“Jamie, seriously I’m sorry but that’s unnecessary.” You said as he scoffed.
“It’s totally unnecessary when my sister has lied to me for months.”
You laughed again, “I didn’t lie, I just didn’t tell you—“
“So all those times I asked where you were and you said somewhere, you were there and not with him?”
You were quiet, you could tell James was actually upset and just covering it up with being dramatic like he always did.
“James, please just look at me.”
“I really don’t want to, you make me sick.”
“Fucking hell, James I swear just look at me and talk to me, I’m sorry! It hurt me to not tell you but look at how you reacted! I was terrified of that, I was terrified of how you looked at me today because I never want to lose you.” You cried causing James to turn around, his eyes filled with tears seeing his sister cry, it always happened.
“You’re never gonna lose me, sunny. I’m just hurt you couldn’t tell me.” He sighed, you frowned.
“It’s not all about me, Jamie. I love him,” you glared at your brother as he rolled his eyes. “I do, Jamie. Please, I’m not gonna do this with you.” You said with a sigh, sniffling James looked at your pleading eyes.
James Potter hated seeing his sister cry, every time you did he made her tell him why and if someone had made her cry. He would prank them for years or even punch them because they broke up with her, just anything he could do to because they made you cry.
Now he was them, he watched as tears continued to fall down your red cheeks. His heart broke thinking of you thinking you would lose him.
“Sunny,” he whispered wiping your falling tears, bringing you into a hug, you sighed softly.
“You’re not gonna lose me, sunny, never.” He said into your hair, you pulled away.
“Okay,” you nodded.” “But that’s not it.”
James licked his lips, “I know, I’m sorry for doing that and saying the things I did to him.”
“I don’t need that apology.” You said as he looked away, “James, you don’t have to love him but just- just please tolerate him.”
“Fine.”
You smiled kissing his cheek as you walked away, walking into your room seeing Regulus tucked underneath a pile of your blankets causing you to laugh. He peeked from them, he smiled as he pushed them to the side as you laid on top of him then bringing them to lay on top of the two of you.
Without a word, Regulus captured your lips onto his. You smiled into the kiss bringing your hands to his hair as his fell onto your hips, “I love you,” he muttered into the kiss.

roommate!james potter who doesn’t really get why you don’t understand that he like likes you (me trying to understand characters & theirnpersonalities better) “Perv,” you giggle, shoving the comforter into James’s face. You shimmied on a shirt at least a size too big for you and pulled a pair of James’s Calvin Klein boxers over your black underwear.
“Nothing I haven’t seen the night before,” James muses, wrapping his arms around you as you tried your best to walk forward. “Dunno why you don’t walk around shirtless like me when it’s summer. You got great boobs and you’re actually physically hurting me but keeping them away.” During his rant, James’s hands had snuck up your shirt and groped your tits, fiddling with your nipple with his thumb.
“Because it’s weird! I’ts not like I’m your girlfriend or anything. We’re just roommates,” you shrugged, reaching up to grab Nutella from a cabinet, giving James the opportunity to run his hands down your hips.
“Really?”
You sighed. “Yes James. We’ve literally talked about this and how- how many pieces of toast do you want?-“ you asked mid-sentence.
“Two, lovie,” James answered, resting his chin on your head, watching your blurry movements without his glasses.
“Anyway, James you actually have to like like girls instead of wanted to have sex with them all the time to have a girlfriend,” you continued.
“I like like you. Thought you knew,” James replied, large hands going back up your shirt to rest on your boobs.
“Whatever, Jamie. Lets eat breakfast before you get all- all Jamie-like,” you said, bustling sround the small kitchen with the man curled into you like a parasite.
“Okay, lovie.”

Although Remus wasn’t big on dressing up for Halloween, you absolutely adored it. Since your childhood, you always looked forward to the holiday and the tacky outfits from the spirit store down the street. Since Remus’ childhood, the holiday only reminded him that everyone found werewolves terrifying as death itself.
But you made sure to change all his horrid memories to good ones the second you met.
Over the years, you slowly coaxed Remus into dressing up and having fun on Halloween, especially when his best friends threw the Gryffindor party every year. When you began dating, the costumes you made him wear became couple costumes. Some of your favorites being Phantom of the Opera, Beauty and the Beast, and The Great Gatsby.
This year — your final year at Hogwarts — you wanted to wear something that would be talked about for years. You wanted something so spectacular that it would be remembered. Luckily, you had just the couples costume in mind.
“Remind me again, why do you need a quidditch uniform?” James threw a curious look to Remus who was currently reading Little Women, a book you made him read for entertainment purposes. “If you’re telling me you’re joining the quidditch team during your last year, I’ll go bloody mad.”
“I’m not.” Remus flicked the page and sipped on his tea beside him, glancing at James from the corner of his eye. “Just need to borrow one.”
Remus, James, and Sirius have gone through this dance about ten times. Each one ending in the talk of the latest play before James sobered up and asked about the uniform again. It was a never ending cycle of bickering.
Sirius threw a crumpled piece of plastic at Remus’ head as the painting opened up, earning a loud sigh from the boy himself. “Yeah, but why do you need to borrow one?”
“Don’t throw stuff at Remus, Black.” You huff and make your way over to the trio, flashing your loving boyfriend a smile as his hand made their way to your hip. “What did they do this time?”
“Why are you assuming we did something?”
“Yeah, we’re saints!” Sirius dropped down on the couch beside Remus, sending you an oh-so innocent smile.
You roll your eyes at him and flash him your favorite finger, “Says the devil himself.”
“Hey—!”
“They were asking why I needed a quidditch uniform.” Remus cut Sirius off before you two could argue for the nth time.
It was like you two were always fighting over him — which he had to admit — was funny to see unfold each time. Remus laced his other hand with yours and returned your attention back to him, thumb rubbing your pulse point.
“How’s your thing going?” He murmured when you sat beside him and rested your head on his shoulder, shifting his body to block Sirius from your sight.
You shrug, “Lily and I have been working on it. We’ll be done even before the holiday.”
“You two are so ominous, I don’t like it.” James shuddered, which earned a glare from you and an eye roll from Remus. “What? It’s obvious you two are planning something and not telling us.”
“Okay, well, I’m done with this conversation.” You sighed and pressed a quick kiss to Remus’ lips, looking like the love sick fool that you were. “I love you, and I’ll see you in a bit.”
You made quick steps up the girls’ dorm after Remus reciprocated the notion and left the three boys back to their dwelling.
“Why does she hate us and love you?” Sirius grumbled and popped a jelly bean into his mouth, grimacing at the flavor and spitting it out.
“Maybe because she’s dating him and not us?” James threw him an annoyed look.
Remus blocked out their bickering and went back to reading. He loved you and you loved him, and that’s all he needed to know. Besides, it was the boys who practically begged him to ask you out since first year. They knew he was smitten with you the second you both met on the train.
Eventually, James did lend Remus an unused quidditch uniform while you and Lily finished your costume for Halloween. The only thing left to do was perfect the actual look and win the couples contest.
“Hell, are you dressing up as one of our quidditch players for Halloween?” Sirius raised his brows in surprise as Remus shuffled out of the bathroom with said uniform on. “Which Gryffindor did you dress up as?”
“No one.” Remus replied in a bored manner and adjusted the leather gloves he had on. “I’m just a quidditch player.”
“Uh-huh. So you definitely didn’t dress as Prongs or I?”
“No.”
Sirius gave him an unimpressed look and shrugged on his vest for his Indiana Jones costume. “Whatever you say… Anyway, Prongs and the rest of them are already down there and I’m not waiting for you any longer if you’re going to gel your hair back.”
“Yeah, I’m going.” He grumbled and adjusted his uniform before following Sirius down the stairs and into the ongoing Halloween party.
The red lights flickered about as the music practically shook the entire room. Remus scanned the vicinity for you, struggling until Sirius almost dropped dead at the sight of you. It was the same reaction everyone had to seeing you dressed in… That.
“Holy fuck. Your girlfriend is wearing the shortest dress in existence.” Sirius gaped and earned a smack to the head from Remus.
Remus watched you dance and jump with Lily, eyes shining bright with joy when they met his. You beamed so bright and almost elbowed everyone in your way to make it to him. He caught you in his arms as you kissed him senseless, hands coming to rest on his cheeks.
“Hey, dovey.” He finally spoke when you both parted for air, thumbing your jaw softly. “You look absolutely stunning in gold.”
“Of course, I do, Rem! I’m a Gryffindor!” You laugh and eyes his outfit like he was a three course meal. “It’s interesting seeing you dressed in quidditch robes for the first time.”
“Yeah?” He continued to thumb your jaw in a doting manner. “Well if I did play, I plan on you being the snitch every game. I wouldn’t play otherwise.”
You tilt your head and meet his eyes with so much love. Now that you and Remus were standing together, your costumes made so much sense. It wasn’t just a quidditch player and a golden fairy, it was a seeker and the golden snitch. Sirius looked between the both of you before gasping and clapping his hands in realization, those around you looking over as well.
“Aren’t you two the cutest pair!” He gushed and pinched Remus’ cheek at the revelation.
Smacking Sirius’ hand away, you rested your chin on Remus’s shoulder to prevent him from doing such thing again. Remus laughed at you two and rubbed your back.
“You know, Marlene is looking for you, Siri.” You practically shout over the loud music.
“Is she?” He perked up at the mention of the girl he had been talking to recently. “Well then… I will catch up with you two later.”
You waited a little longer before laughing loudly at your own doing. Was Marlene really looking for him? No, but Sirius was always there whenever you wanted to be alone with Remus. Before you could stop laughing, Remus swatted your ass playfully in response to the poor prank.
“Hey—!” You pout jokingly, laughing again when Remus shook his head at you with an upturned smile.
As the night carried on, the crowd grew bigger, the music louder, and the drinks more alcoholic. It got to the point where you and Remus were too drunk to be the responsible ones in the group. Oddly enough, you both drank more than anyone else in the group.
However, you both won the couples costume contest and — for some reason no one could explain the next day — you decided to give a speech to the mass of Gryffindors in the common room about winning the contest. It wasn’t your proudest moment, but it was your last year.
Clambering on top of the wooden tables, you stumbled over your own legs as Remus tried to stabilize you. Lily, who was the responsible one for the night, rubbed her forehead in exasperation. She didn’t want to necessarily stop you. You were a whiny drunk, and it would be impossible to stop you from something you wanted to do.
“Wait wait — hiccup — I would like to thank the committee,” You hold your red cup close to your chest, your cheeks almost as bright as the cup. “Lily Evans — hiccup — the quidditch team, and my ever so loving boyfriend — hiccup — for making this all possible!” You throw your arms in the air, earning cheers from the crowd.
“What committee?” Sirius looked at Lily with a confused look, pointing between him and James. “Us?”
She shrugged and watched you jump down from the table, snickering when Remus nearly had a heart attack from your way of getting down. She made sure you both were okay before returning to James’ side, pointing you both out to him.
“You’re gonna be the — hiccup — death of me.” Remus tucked his head in between your neck and shoulder, nudging his nose on your exposed skin. “Don’t do that.”
“M’sorry.” You giggle and stumble slightly at the weight being put on you. “You baby.”
He kissed your cheek, “No.”
“Yeah.”
“No.” He dragged you over to the dormitory stairs. “Hi.”
You giggle and trace the scars on his face, “Hey.”
“You’re cute.” He melted into your hands and pecked your palm. “Really really cute.”
“You wanna know a secret, Rem?” You murmur and hiccup when he tugged you impossibly closer. “I promise it’s really cool.”
“What is it?” He pressed kisses everywhere he could, putting more attention to your lips.
“I love you.” You whisper against his lips and fully kiss him, the taste of firewhisky strong. “So much.”
He smiled into the kiss and parted briefly, thumbing your lip. “You want to know my secret, dovey?”
“What?” You look up and meet the hazel eyes you’ve come to love.
“I love you more.”

Tumblr media
Music drowned out your senses, the beat thrumming through your body as intensely as the pounding of your heart. Hoarse from screaming, your throat tickled as you laughed with your friends, revelling in Gryffindor's success from the day's Quidditch match against Slytherin.
Lights flashed across the Gryffindor Common Room as the Fat Lady's portrait swung open, people whooping as James was carried inside, basking in the attention like a cat- like a lion in the sunlight. Everyone began chanting his name, you joining in with a laugh as he was hauled even higher on Sirius' shoulders, people reaching over to smack him on the back as he swayed precariously. His tousled hair was stuck to his forehead with sweat, cheeks flaming red from the thrill, glasses cracked in one lens and his eyes... they burnt with the aftermath of success, glowing with that glimmer only a decisive victory could bring. His eyes scanned the room as he craned his neck, looking, searching; until his gaze landed on yours.
Something seemed to crackle in the air between you, the intensity of his fiery eyes pulling your body forwards, as though you needed to be near him. The chatter of your friends slowly faded into the background as you paused, biting your lip uncertainly.
James, on the other hand, wasn't one to hesitate. Not when he had been younger - when if he had wanted something he took it without a second thought - and certainly not now. James had enjoyed the perks of a privileged upbringing, and there were certain aspects he wasn't ready to relinquish yet.
Tapping Sirius firmly on the shoulder, his best friend loosened his hold and James jumped down. His eyes never left yours. He strode forwards, pushing past people as they cheered and tried to clap him on the back, his expression glazed with determination. No-one was going to get in the way of what he wanted.
Everything seemed to slow as James reached you. The music died in your ears, the loud cheering gradually fading. Your mind was a whirlpool of emotions, unsure where this was going, but also ready. James' chest heaved with adrenaline as he neared, closing the already small distance between you. His eyes flashed dangerously as his tongue darted out to wet his pink lips. You looked up at him, doe eyes wide, yet simmering with longing that had been repressed for far too long.
James considered your uncertain expression as his hand dragged up and down your shoulder in what was supposed to be a reassuring manner. As your best friend, James had always been touchy, but this was different.
It drove you crazy.
"A few kisses won't ruin our friendship, love."
Looking up at him through your lashes, you smiled slyly; his need for you in that moment so palpable that your skin flushed beneath his gaze.
The look he was giving you. Of exasperation, of longing, of want. You knew your face mirrored his.
James grunted with the force of his lips colliding with yours. His hands flew to your waist as you met in a flurry of passion and lust and want as one of his hands snaked up your side and tugged at your hair, eliciting a gasp- he stole it away with another kiss, then another, and another. The music flooding your ears once more combined with the vibrant lights hot on your skin and James' lips on yours surged the intensity of the moment to new heights. Heights that you teetered precariously on, feeling free and unreachable but capable of crashing at any moment.
He broke away for a split second as you both gasped for air, eyes frantically searching the others, as though you needed confirmation that this was happening, before pulling you back into him as though your lips on his could offer more relief than oxygen ever could. You were his lifeline and right now, James felt more alive than he could ever recall.
The night blended together in a haze of drinks, lights, laughter and more stolen kisses, the memory simultaneously so clear yet vague that you could only be left to ponder (and regret) everything that had occurred the following morning, as you trailed down to the common room from the girl's dormitories, massaging your forehead in a futile attempt to relieve your hangover. You hadn't expected to find James, who apparently hadn't even managed to make it to bed, asleep on the crimson sofa.
The creaking of the stairs as you crept forwards caused him to stir in his sleep, sitting up groggily once he noticed you.
He blinked a few times, forcing the sleep away, and stood up suddenly.
Groaning, he sat back down.
"Hungover hit yet?" You smirked, sitting down next to him.
James' black hair was the messiest you'd seen in a while and his glasses still flaunted a thin crack.
Leaning over him you raised your wand, muttering 'Oculus Reparo' as the crack sealed itself.
His eyes stayed shamelessly on your lips the entire time. You hesitated, not instantly moving away.
It was the signal James had been waiting for. Before you could speak his hands snaked around your waist.
His fingers lifted your chin, his eyes half-lidded as he murmured, "One more won’t hurt." His lips brushed against your lips as he murmured against you, “Right?”
You nodded, breathless as he swept hair away from your face.
So, he had remembered last night.
He leaned in, grazing his lips against yours again as though he was testing his own self-restraint, playing a dangerous game as he tested both of your boundaries. They didn't hold.
Within moments, James had lifted you onto his lap, kissing you with as much urgency as he had only a few hours ago. You returned the action, your hands tangling into his hair, determined to make the most of this kiss if it would be your last. James' hands brushed up and down your sides, sending sparks surging through your body.
You pulled away, eyes still closed as his forehead pressed against yours, "What is this, James, what was last night?" You breathed, scared to shatter the moment you hadn’t realised you’d wanted so desperately.
He groaned at the absence of your lips as his hands circled your lower back, "Friends kiss, love."
His eyes glinted with that familiar confidence beneath his glasses and you were unable to look away, that brief glimmer only enticing you more. His voice was rough as he spoke slowly, "Would you like me to stop, my best friend? My bestest girl?"
Your hands tightened in his hair at the pet name. His words should have thrown you off. They should have. But you had unknowingly craved this for so long, and this... maybe it worked. You could satisfy the part of you that craved him without the threat of losing your friendship.
"Don't stop."
The words triggered something in him, and James leant in.
──── ୨୧ ────
The kisses didn't stop.
Whenever you sat down with him at breakfast James greeted you with a kiss on the cheek, his hand lingering on your thigh throughout the meal.
He'd steal kisses from you after class, people conveniently crowded outside as he’d pull away, a smirk gracing those intoxicating lips.
Every time he kissed you sent shivers through your body- the feeling addictive. But soon, you began waiting for something. Waiting for the moment he'd pull away, his eyes searching yours, and ask for something more.
It hadn't taken long for the others to notice, but any ideas of the two of you together were quickly quenched by James' assertions that the two of you were the closest of friends- and nothing more.
He'd kiss you after quidditch practice when Gideon Prewett was getting on his nerves. Because he needed it, he always claimed. Because a kiss from his best friend was what he needed after he'd worked so hard and had to deal with irritating team mates. You were more than happy to oblige.
He'd kiss you when you'd hang out with the group, pulling you onto his lap when you all sat together by the black lake, laughing at the group’s jokes. This carried on for so long that it became integrated into your normal routine, the others long beyond questioning anymore.
But after the initial two weeks, it didn't feel right. It felt stagnant, and you began wondering if you’d be forever trapped between friendship and something more. By the third week, you felt empty.
You recounted this to Mary MacDonald, one of your closest friends. She listened patiently as you spilled every detail on the floor of the girl's dormitory, your legs crossed as the words tumbled out of your mouth.
She placed a hand on your wrist, causing your rambling to skid to a halt.
"How do you actually feel about all this, (Y/n)?" She questioned, waving her freshly painted pink nails through the air, trying to dry them before she did yours.
"I-" you frowned, absentmindedly brushing your fingertips over your lips. The ghost of James' lips temporarily invaded your thoughts, "I love it when he kisses me."
Mary's eyes glimmered with something you couldn't recognise, but she kept quiet, prompting you to continue.
"But it's not enough. It's not enough," the words began to pour out, and you couldn't stop them, "I almost feel greedy- I want more. When he kissed me for the first time something changed and I- I don’t know. I guess I thought things would be different. That they would’ve developed by now.”
Mary sat patiently, admiring her freshly painted nails as she gave you space to sort through your thoughts.
“I love his kisses, but all they do is remind me that they're not enough." You paused, Mary's brows furrowed as she watched you, "I want more." You whispered, your voice quiet, barely audible. The words merged with the comfortable silence between the two of you as she mulled over your confession.
Mary wasn't one to offer a meaningless response, and that was something you adored her for- she genuinely cared. Still pondering, she gently placed your left hand on her knee as she began to paint your nails in the pretty wine-red colour you'd selected earlier.
It was once she reached your ring finger that she finally spoke, "You deserve more, (Y/n), and I'll be damned if that makes you greedy."
She paused again, eyes crinkling as she focused on wiping some stray polish from your finger.
"It’s human to crave a proper relationship- not whatever James is doing. I don't think he's quite realised it, but he's taking advantage of you, (Y/n). He's giving you the bare minimum."
Her blunt words snapped your eyes up from your nails, your left hand done as you replaced it with your right.
"I don't want to stop being friends with him." You said, hesitantly.
"And you won't," Mary's eyes lit up, "All I'm saying is if that jerk wants to kiss you, he has to work for it." She insulted James with that level of affection shared by old friends, but there was an edge to her voice.
You laughed, but her words resonated within you, particularly with your level of self-respect. Entirely consumed by this change in dynamic with James, you’d unintentionally disregarded your dignity in the process. Allowed him to assume you'd always be there, lips puckered and eyes closed.
You shivered at the thought. The revelation sent a wave of bitterness through your body. You weren't angry at James, no, more so at yourself for putting up with this for so long.
Mary smirked, recognising the resolution in your eyes as she finally set down the nail varnish, screwing the lid on, "It’s about time James Potter had to actually work for something."
You held back a snort, eyes crinkled with amusement.
"Thank you, Mare." You gestured to your nails, but she caught the double meaning.
"Anything for my best friend." She stood quickly, cursing as she almost smudged one of her nails, "Dinner?"
Within minutes you’d entered the hall, arms linked with Mary’s as you marvelled at the newly put up Christmas decorations. Just over a month away from Christmas, they glowed brightly; snowflakes swirled down from the enchanted ceiling, fading into nothing before they could touch the people sat beneath. Wreaths hung above every fireplace, which crackled comfortingly... and the tree. At the opposite end of the hall stood the massive fir tree, one you could've sworn got bigger each year. Baubles shimmered against the glow of the candles, the tinsel and angel hair that had been carefully draped over the branches made it look as though the tree had been dunked in pure starlight. Magic never ceased to amaze you; there really was a charm for everything.
As you scoured the Gryffindor table in search of your friends, Lily happened to look up at the same time and waved you over. Your breath hitched, noticing there was a seat either next to her or next to James. Mary gave you a pointed look as she slid down into the seat next to the latter, leaving you to join Lily- opposite him instead. James immediately looked up as Mary sat down, his brow crinkling slightly as he turned to you. It was no secret he’d saved that seat for you, and an uncomfortable moment passed before the others resumed their conversation.
Having just returned from practice, James was dressed in mud-splattered quidditch gear, the word gryffindor stretched across his broad chest. His hair was that familiar mess, and you mused whether you could run your fingers through it without them getting stuck. He downed his full glass of pumpkin juice in one, his eyes never leaving yours.
Your fingers drummed steadily on your thigh as you slipped in and out of Sirius’ story, laughing occasionally, but unable to dedicate your focus when James was sat directly opposite.
Only your eyes were on Sirius as he wildly gestured with his hands, recounting the tale; your mind wasn’t on his words. James’ leg brushed yours under the table, a bid for your attention. You didn’t react, dragging your attention back to Sirius instead and joining in to laugh at something else he’d said. What exact you were laughing about, you weren’t sure.
It felt wrong, almost unnatural, not to be touching James in some way. In just three weeks your body had gotten so accustomed to his lingering touches, his sly brushes against your thighs, that you felt unsettled by the lack of them. You noticed James flexing his large hands, as though he too didn’t know what to do with them if they weren’t on you.
You exhaled with relief when the food came, snapping you out of your thoughts yet again- a welcome distraction. As you began to fill your plate with steaming piles of food, your eyes fell on Mary’s. She had been engaging with the rest of the group’s antics, but the knowing look in her eyes told you she’d been observing the both of you the whole time.
She gave you a smirk, flexing her right hand dramatically, just as James had done. You snorted, your hand instantly flying up to your mouth to stifle your laughter. The tension momentarily evaporated as you realised that nothing escaped your best friend’s notice. The others paused, looking confused, but Mary quickly waved them off after muttering something about an inside joke. You only giggled in response.
After a collection of mouth-watering meals you stood, exhausted and ready to sleep. Mary and Lily also got up, both ready to leave. You didn't kiss James on the cheek as you usually did, instead linking arms with your friends as you left the sparkling hall.
You weren't ignoring James. No- from now on you’d simply treat him as a friend, because in the past few weeks the meaning of the word had gotten so twisted between the two of you. You were determined to restore it, unwilling to settle for kisses that amounted to nothing.
You had had an hour to mull over Mary's words. James' behaviour was intentional- it wasn't as though he hadn't had every opportunity to turn your situation into something more. It was James who had constantly enforced the 'friend' idea the hmost, leading you to assume he wasn't interested in you the way you were him. And that was fine- but you'd show him what a true friend was. Challenge his claim that friendship involved his lips on yours.
James silently stared after you, Sirius snorting, "How've you fucked that one up, man?"
"There's nothing to fuck up." James rolled his shoulders nonchalantly, ignoring how they suddenly felt heavy.
"Sure." Sirius' eyes flashed knowingly, "And Pete didn't fuck up his charms test."
Peter had gotten a T (Troll) on his most recent charms test.
Remus rolled his eyes, shooting Peter an apologetic look as he stood from the table, "Well, I'll leave you all to it."
And so he did, leaving James entangled in thoughts almost as messy as his hair and filled with a desperation to know why you’d seemed so distant. He chalked it down to your having a bad day, certain that tomorrow you wouldn't be able to stay away from him again.
Oh, how wrong he was.

PART 0.5 (PREQUEL)
Tumblr media
“What. The. Fuck…” Sirius exclaims only to receive a hit upside the head by Remus who also pins him with a warning glare, “What?!” the eldest Black brother shouts and gestures to the unbelievable display happening before them, “Shouldn’t you be the one demanding answers? Usually she goes to you for this!”
Instead of answering him, Remus fixes an unreadable stare onto the scene happening before him; trying his hardest to suppress the smile tugging at his lips. Finally his suspicions were confirmed and he was happy to witness its conclusion. It was about time.
Yes, he was the person you typically sought comfort from when distressed and he was more than happy to be that person for you, however, he’s seen your longing glances and has witnessed many of the one-sided conversations you’ve had with the silent, grumpy slytherin — who was the complete opposite of you in demeanour and attitude. It’s an interesting sight seeing you constantly approach him with your bright smile, sweet face and sparkling eyes, a contrast to his notorious emotionless and cold disposition.
Some people who’ve also witnessed your interactions with Regulus Black couldn’t understand why you were so persistent when he barely said a word back and scarcely showed any interest in return to your friendly advances. They thought you were crazy but you were so bubbly and sweet with everyone, they assumed that it’s just a part of your nature to approach even those who were deemed unapproachable.
And Regulus Black is unapproachable. To everyone — except you.
Tumblr media
Regulus never understood you.
Usually, whenever someone brave enough to approach him started conversation, they would get so turned off by his aloofness that they would cut the interaction short and move on. Those that continued to persist, received a glare and offensive remark, which finally shook them off and out of his personal space.
But you.
You love his personal space. He couldn’t so-easily push you away like the others. Your tenacity rivalled the stubbornness of a bull — it was quite admirable. You weren’t deterred by his aloofness nor his ice-cold glare and snide remark. Secretly he was grateful. He’s grown to love your company (though he’d never say it out loud) ever since you shot down his attempt at forcing distance between the two of you.
“Why would you say that? That’s so mean,” your pout was adorable, “and stop trying to look scary,” you poke your finger between his brows and ease the creases in his skin from his glare, “it doesn’t work when you have such a pretty face,”
Pretty…
You love calling him that, although he’d argue that the flattering term suited you much more than him. Growing up, he was told to despise Gryffindors; his brother was the only exception until you came along with your pretty smile, pretty eyes, pretty nose, pretty hair, pretty voice, pretty lips — pretty everything!
…he’d never admit it out loud, however.
He’d never admit a lot of things out loud when it came to you. Maybe that’s why he hardly said anything when you were around him. At least he doesn’t scowl as much anymore, he just holds a blank stare whilst trying to stop a smile from taking over his face.
He likes listening to you a lot more than he does anyone else and appreciates your company very much, even if it’s just to listen to you talk about your day and all the things you’ve done; how you loved the omelette they served for breakfast, how you really wanted to learn how to ride a broom but were terrified of heights, how your favourite subject was astrology and eagerly waited for each lesson, how you love his company and being close to him.
He loves it too, being close to you. You’re warm and soft and he loves your fragrance. Surprisingly, it’s not as sickly sweet as he’d once imagined (and dreaded). Rather, you smelled perfectly floral with a hint of piquant spice that was unique to you. It wasn’t intoxicating, instead, it was calming and Regulus was addicted to the peace you were able to bring into his chaotic life, a life that remained jumbled with no help from his Gryffindor brother, his only brother, someone he still deeply but silently adored.
Regulus appreciated you for being able to give him regular updates on his estranged brother since you were pretty good friends with the Marauders. You were especially close to Remus, which you admitted was due to his level-headedness and calmness. You explained to him that being around such stolid characters were comforting to you because their presence was reassuring. Regulus didn’t understand your reasoning. Although it could be because a creeping jealousy had coloured his eyes green for the tall brunette he had never had the pleasure of officially meeting. Nevertheless, it answered his question on why you so often gravitated towards Remus, especially when distressed.
So… why were you desperately clinging to him when Remus was just across the courtyard?
Tumblr media
James was in a frenzy. He had been worried ever since this morning. Ever since meeting you, he had grown to see you as his younger sister and with that, came a an urge to protect you from all things physical and intangible. Therefore, it was only natural for his senses to flood with worry as soon as you mentioned ‘boggart’ over your a plate of your favourite omelette at breakfast. You were going to have your boggart lesson for DADA today.
Consumed by worry, James had rushed to the courtyard as soon as morning classes were over and desperately searched the crowd for you. Remus tried to assure him, confident in your courage as a fellow Gryffindor but that wasn’t enough to quell his anxiety for your condition.
His apprehension was for good reason, it seemed, because for the first time ever! There were tears in your eyes. You were crying. You were sad. Sad enough to sob in someone’s arms. In Regulus Black’s arms!
“WhAt ARe yOU DoING?!” James shouts, his voice cracking and fluctuating from his panicked state as his hands grip and pull at his untamed locks.
For the first time ever, Regulus stutters, “I-I—…uhh!”
James’ eyes widen at Regulus’ shaking hands, hanging suspended in the air, his fingers twitching slightly from his hesitation and inexperience with comforting someone, “YOU IDIOT!” only James Potter would have the nerve to call Regulus Black an ‘idiot’.
In his eyes, James was watching his precious baby sister, who he loves to pieces, sob into the arms of someone she wanted comfort from but had no clue how to comfort her, “HOLD HER!” James demands, “HURRY!”
Finally…FINALLY Regulus hugs you back, one hand on the back of your head to softly pet your hair down as his other circles around your waist and pulls you close. He feels you sob into his shoulder as your shaking hands cling onto the back of his button up shirt. When he focuses on your trembling sobs and usually sorrowful form, an ache takes hold of his heart and he finds himself clinging onto you.
You don’t deserve to cry. You’re far too precious and sweet to deserve experiencing such distress. Whoever did this to you, once he finds the culprit, will have hell to pay…
As soon as you feel the secure squeeze of Regulus’ arms around you, your shaking sobs slowly reduce to pitiful hiccups and faint sniffles. Beside your ear, Regulus whispers soft, kind assurances and you’ve never felt so safe. It escapes you that Regulus was actually speak to you instead of the other way around.
“It’s okay, my flower…” your heart leaps in your chest, “you’re going to be okay; I’m here for you,”

Cindy Lou Who
james potter x slytherin!female!reader
summary: you and lily have been polar opposites from birth, disconnected in everything. but when the one thing she has crosses the bounds, you can't avoid it even if it destroys you.
warnings: eventual smut! 18+ heavy angst, cursing , jealousy
a/n: it's part 2! no, its not a dorcas and y/n love story.
i hope you enjoy and you can fw it or not, not my issue.
The journey to James's parents’ cabin had already been a nightmare in the making, but the fact that you somehow found yourself stuck in the car with the Marauders made it feel like the universe had personally conspired against you. It was as if Lily was trying to send a message to make you never speak to her again.
Ten minutes earlier:
You stepped off the train, dragging your suitcase behind you, and made your way toward Lily and her usual entourage. You could already feel the tension between you and the rest of the group, but at least Lily was there to distract you.
"Ah, Y/N!" Lily cheered, her arms suddenly wrapped around you in a hug. You stiffened slightly, offering an awkward smile as she pulled back to look at you. Her grin continued to grow, "We were just discussing seating assignments," She explained, glancing at the group, which was all standing around and debating loudly.
"I voted for apparating. It's quicker, and no one has to listen to Sirius whine the entire time," James grumbled, shooting an annoyed look at Sirius, who was lounging against the wall with an exaggerated sigh.
"Well for one, your apparating skills absolutely scare me," Dorcas chimed in.
Mary snorted. "Yeah, I’m pretty sure we'd show up without a neck if either of you tried to apparate us," She said, resting her head on Dorcas’s shoulder, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she looked over at the two boys.
Sirius immediately recoiled, "Excuse me? Leave me out of this, my apparition skills are impeccable if you ladies must know," He said, puffing out his chest and sticking his tongue out at both of them.
Marlene chuckled, chiming in, the sound light and teasing as she looked at you. "Yeah, I think we need someone with actual skill, not just a big ego." She glanced at Sirius, her eyes twinkling with amusement.
Sirius shot her a playful glare, but his lips twitched as though he might actually be enjoying the banter. "You wound me, Mar. But I’ll have you know, I’ve never left anyone in a heap of twisted limbs," He said, half-defensive, half-proud.
You sighed, clearly tired of their antics as Dorcas spoke again, "Okay, okay, if you two are done with the theatrics, how about we get someone who actually knows how to apparate without leaving us in the wrong century?"
Sirius raised an eyebrow dramatically, looking at you, "Well, actually, someone insists that ‘bonding time’ means suffering in cramped cars with people you barely know, which is really quite charming," He said as if everyone was meant to agree with his sarcasm.
James shot a playful look at Lily, wrapping an arm around her waist. "Don't blame my little Lily-bear for her big heart," He teased, only for her to stomp on his foot, causing him to yelp.
“I don’t even understand why we discussed apparition in the first place,” Lily huffed, annoyed, “We are driving and that is final.”
You snorted at the sight, feeling momentarily distracted from the impending doom of the ride. Mary, ever the voice of reason, cleared her throat. "Ok Mother, back to the cars. Who's in which?"
You raised an eyebrow, scanning the group with mild skepticism. "Can any of you actually drive?" The question hung in the air, and for a split second, the group fell into silence, as if your voice had been the last thing they expected.
"Well, Remus and I can," Dorcas answered with a grin, clearly amused by your audacity. "And James already asked his parents to send over two cars," She added, her eyes twinkling.
"Wow, loaded with money, Potter?" You teased, turning to James, who shot you a mockingly smug grin.
"Don't act like you didn’t know," He replied with a wink as if he always knew how to make your sarcasm work in his favor.
"And how many people can each car fit?" Mary asked, eager to move things along.
"Four each, including the driver," James answered, his voice laced with confidence.
"Well, this is perfect!" Lily exclaimed happily, her voice full of relief. "Peter can't make it anyway, so Y/N can take his spot!"
Your stomach twisted. "Excuse me?" You nearly gagged, your face contorting in disbelief.
Lily’s eyes softened with an apologetic look. "Oh, don’t worry! They won’t bite, I promise," She assured you, gesturing to the Marauders, who were now standing off to the side like a haphazardly formed band of troublemakers.
You couldn’t hide the disgust that flashed across your face as you looked at the group. The thought of being stuck in a car with them—all of them—felt like some cruel twist of fate. “Can’t you just ride with the boys?” You asked, crossing your arms and giving Lily a pleading look.
Lily hesitated for a moment before offering a sheepish smile. “I could, but I kind of want you to get along with them, Y/N. I really don’t want to force you into anything, but they’re good people underneath the mess," She said sincerely, rubbing your palm comfortingly.
You felt the pressure building. On one hand, you wanted to be a complete brat and insisted that you’d rather take your chances with a single, less painful car ride with the girls. But on the other, you knew this trip wasn’t about you. It was Lily’s weekend, and you couldn’t spoil it just because the Marauders were a walking headache.
"Actually, Lily, it's fine," You sighed, rolling your eyes. "It’s just a four-hour car ride. I’ll survive."
Lily looked at you, her eyes full of sincerity. "Are you sure? I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable—"
"Yes," You groaned dramatically, cutting her off. "But if you ask me again, I will change my mind."
Lily’s face lit up with a sweet, relieved smile. “Thank you, Y/N,” She whispered in your ear, pulling you into another hug.
You smiled faintly despite the dread that churned in your stomach. You lightly pushed her off, trying to hide the weirdly sentimental feeling. "Let’s get this over with, then," You muttered, grabbing your luggage and marching toward the exit.
As you walked out of the station, you could hear the sound of the Marauders’ footsteps trailing behind you, their chatter and laughter loud enough to make you wince. Your fate was sealed, and you had no choice but to endure the upcoming car ride with them.
But who knew? Maybe the next four hours wouldn’t be as bad as you were imagining.
--
Thirty minutes into the car ride, and you were already questioning every decision you’d ever made in life.
For one, Sirius and James hadn’t stopped talking since you left the station. It was like they were competing to see who could out-talk the other, their voices blending into an incoherent mess of loud jokes, sarcasm, and the occasional burst of laughter. You swore you could hear Sirius’s voice every five seconds, but it was impossible to tell what he was even saying.
The only bearable one in the bunch was Remus—the designated driver, who for the most part, was quietly focused on the road. He had a way of staying out of the chaos, and you were thankful for that. If he’d joined in, you might have just jumped out of the car.
Unfortunately, luck had not been on your side, and James was sitting right next to you. Of course, he was. As if this trip hadn’t already been your own personal hell, the universe had decided it would be even more fun if you were forced to endure James’s company.
The luggage was shoved behind you both, making the car feel cramped in every possible way. And somehow, the small space between you and James seemed to grow more suffocating by the second.
It wasn’t like you hated him—well, maybe you did a little bit right now—but he wasn’t exactly your favorite person to be sitting next to. Especially in a tiny car where you had no choice but to pretend that everything was fine.
And to make matters worse, James had been sneaking glances at you every couple of minutes. You could feel his eyes on you, even when you kept your focus fixed firmly on the road ahead, your chin resting in your palm as you leaned against the cool window, trying to ignore the constant pounding in your skull.
You tried your best not to react. You weren’t about to make eye contact with him or give him any reason to think you wanted to engage. The last thing you needed was him making some stupid comment about how uncomfortable you were being, as if that would make it any better.
But no matter how much you ignored him, you could still feel him there, like a weight pressing on your chest.
You wondered—truly wondered—how you had managed to get yourself stuck on what was likely the worst trip in the history of trips. It wasn’t even like you’d had a choice in the matter.
You were thinking that perhaps you should've grabbed a book from your bag or even your Walkman from home.
Anything to avoid the chaotic, uncomfortable mess that was currently your reality.
But then again, you still wanted to make Lily happy. It was her weekend, and you knew how much this trip meant to her.
And you knew you had to endure this for her, even if that meant suffering through endless hours of loud barking and James Potter’s stupid glances.
But you were starting to develop a newfound dislike for the countryside and for the stupid cabin you were heading to, and especially for James Potter and his stupid face.
You were stopped in your train of thought by the loud crunching in your ears as you looked beside you in disgust to see James eating Sour Cream & Onion chips loudly.
You had hoped that James would choke on the chips he was shoveling into his mouth right then and there, but he was luckily immune to your silent prayers. Instead, his eyes flicked over to you as he extended the bag in your direction, his mouth still full.
“Want some?” He asked, chewing loudly, completely oblivious to the venom in your stare.
You groaned, slumping back in your seat and closing your eyes, hoping that maybe—just maybe—you could escape the situation by sheer force of will. But no. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to get rid of James Potter. You could still feel his gaze on you, heavy and unrelenting, like a hot spotlight.
“You know,” James continued, completely oblivious to your very clear displeasure, “You could be a little nicer.”
Before you could respond, Sirius—who had been quietly enjoying the chaos—turned around in the front seat, his usual shit-eating grin plastered across his face. “Slytherins are incapable of that. It’s not in their blood.”
You rolled your eyes, but before you could snap back, Remus muttered a resigned “Sirius,” trying to rein him in.
You leaned forward, making sure your voice was dripping with sarcasm as you met James’s gaze, “And Gryffindors are incapable of not being complete and utter twats.”
James’s eyes lit up with amusement at your choice of words. You could see the smug little grin forming at the corner of his mouth, like he was proud of his ability to get under your skin.
“Ah, she speaks!” He said dramatically, as if this was some huge victory. You had to stop yourself from rolling your eyes and groaning. “I was beginning to think you were either deaf—or perhaps a robot.”
Your eyes narrowed as you leaned in just a little closer, meeting his gaze, keeping it steady. “I believe you’ve got something right here.” You moved in slowly, and you could see his face flush just slightly, his lips parting as if he was about to say something.
You didn’t give him the chance. “Right here…” You muttered, keeping your eyes locked on his, before quickly flicking your finger against his forehead.
James immediately shot his hand up to his forehead, wincing as though he’d been hit with a particularly nasty spell. You couldn't help but smile brightly, crossing your arms triumphantly. You were winning.
Sirius, of course, couldn’t help himself. He started laughing so hard it almost sounded like he was barking. “Wow, Y/N—1, Prongs—0!” he whooped, throwing you a thumbs-up from the front.
You heard the nickname, but your victory felt too sweet to care about it right now. You were too busy basking in your small but satisfying win. Maybe it was the most minor of triumphs, but seeing James’s smug confidence deflate for even a moment was pure, unadulterated joy.
James, still rubbing his forehead, pouted dramatically. “Good to know," He muttered under his breath, though you could hear the faint hint of amusement in his voice. “That’s what makes you happy.”
You leaned back in your seat, your grin never wavering. “You have no idea, Potter,” You said, crossing your arms again, feeling very much like you’d won the game.
You suddenly decided to just take a nap for the remaining two hours of the trip, head leaning against the cold window.
At least then, this trip will be bearable.
--
"Aww, isn’t this a sight for sore eyes?" You heard a voice mutter, and your eyes blinked open to see Sirius staring down at you with that signature smirk of his.
You hummed in confusion, realizing that your head was no longer against the window but resting on the broad canvas of a shoulder and jaw.
Your eyes widened as you quickly snapped up, inadvertently knocking your head into James's chin. He groaned in protest as you hissed from the pain in your own skull, rubbing it with one hand.
Sirius barked out a laugh, the sound loud and unmistakably amused. You shot him a death glare. James whined like a child. "Couldn’t you have just gotten up softly?" he asked, tending to his chin as if it were more damaged than it likely was.
"I was repulsed," You said bluntly, crossing your arms over your chest.
James smirked, clearly enjoying your discomfort. "Didn’t seem that way with your head on my shoulder," He teased, and before you could stop yourself, your fist landed squarely in his shoulder. He groaned dramatically.
You hated how easy it was for him to tease you, it was almost as if he didn't hate you as much as you hated him.
"Shut up, Potter," You muttered under your breath, a small smile tugging at your lips despite yourself.
Finally, Remus got out of the car, and you were beyond relieved to be able to stretch your legs and get out of the cramped space. As you stepped out into the fresh air, you were hit with the sight of the cabin—a massive wooden oak structure that dwarfed most houses you had seen. Of course, it shouldn’t have been a surprise with James's family wealth, but it was still impressive.
"Admiring something?" James’s voice called out from behind you, and you turned to see him watching you with that grin of his.
You stepped toward him, eyebrows furrowing. "We were trapped in a car for four hours together, and you still want to annoy me?" You asked, annoyed.
James’s grin only widened, something almost unreadable flickering in his eyes. "It’s just so fun," He said sweetly, his tone laced with something that made you furrow your brows deeper.
He moved past you with that same self-assured confidence, and you couldn’t help but watch him for a moment, your mind swirling with an odd mix of curiosity and frustration.
What an odd boy.
Your thoughts were interrupted by the sound of loud cheers, and you turned to see Lily and the other girls finally arriving at the cabin. Lily immediately rushed over to you, throwing her arm around your shoulders. "This is going to be so fun!" She exclaimed excitedly, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Your expression remained indifferent as you shrugged off her arm. "Sure it will, Lils," You said, barely hiding the boredom in your voice as you moved past her toward the cabin entrance.
Inside, the cabin was everything you expected—grand yet homely. Fairy lights twinkled on the ceiling and wound their way along the railings of the stairs, casting a warm, soft glow. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree stood in the corner of the living room, and the fireplace was already crackling with flames, filling the air with the comforting scent of wood smoke.
You couldn’t help but admire the place, its charm undeniable.
Okay, maybe you were admiring it a little more than you wanted to admit.
As much as you wanted to keep exploring the cabin, you couldn’t help but feel the overwhelming desire to just collapse into a bed and escape the chaos for a bit.
The car ride had been long—four hours spent crammed between the Marauders and Lily, with Sirius and James' constant bickering as background noise. You could already feel the tension in your shoulders from it.
You made your way up the stairs, eyes scanning the doors with name cards carefully placed next to them. It was so Lily to do something like that—everything organized to the tiniest detail. When you reached your door, you saw your name beside Dorcas’s.
You hadn’t spent much time with Dorcas, but from what you’d gathered, she was a bit of a mystery.
She was quiet in a way that was similar to you, but then, the next moment, she was all sharp humor and a wild streak of extroversion. It was interesting to watch her switch between the two.
You just hoped she didn’t have any issue with Slytherins. You’d heard whispers from some Gryffindors, and while you liked to think you were nothing like the stereotypical Slytherin, you still didn’t feel like being judged by a new person.
James and Sirius were already enough of a headache on that front.
You pushed the door open and stepped into the room, instantly relieved by the sight of two beds with nightstands and soft lamps. It was cozy—nothing too extravagant, but warm. There were two separate closets as well, and a part of you actually sighed in relief. Privacy. That was something you valued deeply.
"Thank God for separate closets," Came a voice from behind you, and you turned to find Dorcas already standing in the room, “Sharing a closet can drive me absolutely nuts, I need the privacy,” She added. You hadn’t even heard her come in. Her eyes were fixed on the closets, and somehow it felt like she’d read your mind. "As do you," She added, her voice light and as if she head read your mind.
"I—I do," You stammered, caught off guard.
Something about Dorcas always made you feel a little out of your depth, though you weren’t sure why. She had this way of being so at ease with herself, and it was hard not to be a little intimidated.
Dorcas just shrugged, as if your reaction was nothing new. She walked over to the bed, settling herself against the headboard with a relaxed sigh. "Honestly, I’m glad we’re rooming together. That car ride was chaos. I’m not sure I’ve recovered yet."
You chuckled awkwardly, the tension still clinging to your limbs. "Agreed," you muttered, fiddling with your bag as you unpacked some of your things into the closet. You felt Dorcas’s eyes on you, but when you looked over, she was giving you a teasing smirk, as though she could see right through you.
"The Marauders weren’t too insufferable, I hope?" She asked, already knowing the answer.
You laughed dryly. "Well, Remus was a saint," You said, trying to keep it light. "Black and Potter, though? Bloody migraines." You sighed, shaking your head as you hung up a few shirts. "I don’t know how they do it. They thrive on being insufferable, I swear."
Dorcas let out a soft laugh, a mix of amusement and sympathy. "That’s their usual act," She said, as if it were the most predictable thing in the world. "Don’t worry—you’ll get used to it. Or at least, you’ll stop being surprised." She shifted, lying back and staring up at the ceiling, her hands behind her head.
You looked at her, unsure if you were ready to get used to them.
It's like she could read your expression or your thoughts in general.
Dorcas gave you a quiet smile. "You’ll get there," She said with surprising wisdom for someone who seemed so carefree. "Just don’t take it too seriously. They’re all talk."
I hope I never do, you thought, but kept it to yourself.
You couldn't help but think of how you would ever survive this entire trip. In all honestly, you would rather have spent it with Petunia degrading you.
And you were incredibly worried that the tension in your spine would always still there.
You looked at Dorcas questioningly, "Do you think this trip is going to be fun?" You asked, your voice quieter now as you paused in the middle of unpacking.
Dorcas rolled over onto her side, propping her head up with one hand as she looked at you with a thoughtful expression. "I think it'll be interesting. Not sure if 'fun' is the word I’d use. But you never know. It’s a change of pace, at least." She smiled. "One thing’s for sure: it’s going to be memorable."
"Let’s hope it’s the good kind of memorable," You muttered, smiling slightly despite yourself.
"Trust me, I’ve got a feeling this is going to be one for the books," Dorcas replied, giving you an amused look.
You gave Dorcas a slight smile as you both suddenly heard a thump downstairs and several voices of laughter as Dorcas stood, smiling, "Think I'm gonna check up on everyone down there, wanna come?" She asked, looking at you.
You fake yawned, stretching out on the bed. "I think I'll actually take a nap, feeling quite drowsy," You said, trying to keep the tone casual.
Dorcas gave you a smile, but there was a flicker of disappointment in her eyes. "Okay," She replied softly before turning and heading for the door. She closed it behind her, leaving you alone in the room.
You sighed, rubbing your forehead. Dorcas was nice, but you really didn’t feel like hanging out with the whole group right now. It was just too much.
You reached for your backpack, hoping to lose yourself in time with a book. But when you opened it, your stomach sank. No books.
"Fuck," You muttered, frustrated. You never forgot your books. You always packed them, even for short trips.
You flopped back on the bed, groaning. This wasn’t going how you’d planned.
After a few moments, you grabbed your toiletries and towels.
Screw it.
A shower would help clear your head.
You turned the tap, and the hot water came on quickly. Stepping into the stream, you let the heat wash over you, hoping it would erase the tension from your body.
The noise of the water filled the bathroom, and for a moment, everything felt quiet.
You sighed deeply, letting go of the frustration. It wasn’t ideal, but you’d figure things out later. For now, you’d let the world outside the bathroom fade away.
After a nice, long shower, you slipped into a soft nightgown, figuring you wouldn’t be going anywhere tonight. The warmth of the cabin made it easy to settle in, and you were content with some peace and quiet.
But as you put your things down, you suddenly heard Lily’s voice ringing out from downstairs.
"AAAAAH!" Her scream echoed through the house, followed by frantic footsteps.
You froze, heart racing. Was she hurt? You quickly rushed out of your room, ready to help. The moment you reached the top of the stairs, though, you saw her laughing hysterically in the living room.
"I told you she would come down!" Lily called, gleefully looking at James and Sirius, her hand outstretched for galleons.
You blinked, your heart slowing as you saw the grin on her face. "What the hell?" You muttered, out of breath.
James was looking at you in wide-eyed awe, but you couldn’t help noticing how your nightgown was just a little too revealing—way more than you’d planned for. The last thing you needed was to give James any more ammunition.
"Really, Lily?" You scoffed, already turning to head back upstairs.
"Wait!" Lily rushed to you, her eyes pleading as she grabbed your arm. "Just come hang out for a little bit!"
You immediately thought 'Fuck no!' but then you thought,
It's her trip.
You glanced at her, and despite everything, her puppy-dog eyes got to you. "I suppose.." You muttered, giving in.
Lily squealed, her excitement infectious as she pulled you downstairs. "We’re about to start the puzzle!" She said with a huge grin.
You raised an eyebrow, not sure whether to laugh or groan. "A puzzle?" You teased. "Are we in fourth year?"
Lily pouted. "Stop being such a buzzkill."
Marlene leaned over from the couch with a smirk. "Lils always makes us do something childish on the first night. Gets it out of our system before the real fun starts."
"Exactly," Mary added. "A bit of innocence before we dive into the chaos."
"And so she doesn’t feel guilty when we get wild later," Sirius teased, his grin mischievous.
Lily stuck her tongue out at them. "I do it because it’s fun! And once we finish, we can glue it and hang it up. Isn’t that cute?"
James groaned dramatically. "But Remus and Dorcas always do the best work, and the rest of us just give up."
Lily shot him a look. "Not this time. This time, we all finish it fast."
Well, that didn’t turn out to be the case.
Lily had, of course, accidentally bought a 900-piece puzzle, and it was much more complicated than anyone had expected.
You, Remus, and Dorcas were the only ones making any real progress. You were surprisingly good at it, which seemed to amuse everyone else. The three of you worked mostly in silence, with you passing pieces to Remus and Dorcas helping out when necessary.
Meanwhile, the others had either given up or wandered off. Lily, Marlene, and Mary were baking cookies, and Sirius was napping on the couch, his loud snoring filling the room.
But, as always, James was not one to leave you alone for long.
"How are you guys still working on that?" He whined, popping up beside you and peering over your shoulder. "It’s annoying and difficult!"
"Just like you," You muttered with a sly grin, not looking up from the puzzle.
James’s started smirking. "Sorry, what was that?"
You scoffed, "Just like y-"
Before you could finish your sentence, James was behind you, fingers digging into your sides, tickling you mercilessly. You yelped, trying to push him off, but he only laughed louder, his hands relentless.
Dorcas and Remus exchanged amused glances, clearly entertained by the scene unfolding.
"Say it again!" James demanded, his voice obnoxiously loud.
You gasped for breath, trying to squirm away from his grasp. "Stop it, Potter!" You barely managed to keep your voice serious, but it came out more like a laugh.
"Okay, say I’m the most brilliant person at Hogwarts!" he pressed, his grin wide.
"I will never say that!" You laughed, finally able to wiggle out of his grasp.
"Come on!" James pushed, tickling you more.
"Okay, okay!" You cried, laughing helplessly. "You’re the most brilliant person in Hogwarts, now get off!"
James finally relented, sitting back with a smug smile. "That’s what I thought."
You quickly adjusted your nightgown, your face flushed with embarrassment. You couldn’t believe you just got into a tickle fight with James Potter—of all people.
Lily appeared, her eyes gleaming mischievously. "What just happened out here?" She asked, her voice teasing. "I heard you laughing."
You turned away, trying to hide your embarrassment. "You didn’t hear anything."
"Actually—" James started, but you punched him lightly in the knee, making him wince.
"—I heard nothing," He corrected quickly, his voice strained as he rubbed his leg.
Lily flashed a knowing smile. "Sure," She said, winking at you before heading back into the kitchen.
You groaned inwardly. This was only the beginning, and already Lily was convinced you were best friends with her friends.
Your mind drifted back to earlier, to James’s behavior and how Lily always seemed to indulge him. It left a bitter taste in your mouth.
"I'm heading up," You said abruptly, not waiting for an answer as you made your way to the stairs.
"But the cookies aren’t ready yet!" James called after you, his voice almost pleading.
"Enjoy them when they are," You snapped, already heading up to your room.
As you reached your door and flopped onto your bed, you let out a long, frustrated sigh. This was going to be a weird trip.

stars & spaghetti | r.b.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: here i go again, not taking a break 😭 i swear i just needed to write this! thank you @lovemenotts for encouraging me to post it 🫶 i love you lily
tw: eating disorder recovery
Regulus knows where to find you, but he also knows better than to act like he was looking for you with two bowls of food in hand.
“Hey.”
You almost jump at the sound of his voice. You turn around from where you’re sitting on the porch, giving him a small smile. “Hi.”
His heart drops a little when he sees your face, with your sunken eyes and tired expression.
“I didn’t realize you were home already. Did you come through the back?”
He hums an affirmative, sitting down next to you on the steps leading out the house.
Out of the corner of his eye, he watches as you slouch onto the railing on your left, blankly staring out at the road. “How’s your day been?”
Regulus casually twirls his fork into the spaghetti in his bowl before bringing it to his mouth. Maybe he believes he’s being slick, you think, but it’s obvious that he’s got twice his usual serving.
“Today’s been fine, yeah. Just busy. How was work?”
He nods in response, “Good, actually. Mark finally sent me the files I needed to get that huge contract signed, and —” He presses his fork into the pasta again, but this time brings it up to your mouth (hoping you’re too distracted to mind).
His heart drops and how instantly you swerve backwards, almost crashing into the step behind you.
“Reg,” it comes out as a betrayed hiss. You take a shaky exhale before sitting back upright. “I don’t want any; I’ve eaten dinner already.”
“Have you?”
“Yes, I —“
“Then why’s the kitchen completely clean?”
Regulus never takes a harsh tone with you, and he wasn’t going to start now. There’s nothing but quiet, genuine concern in the way he asks. Guilt claws at the back of your throat anyway.
It was one of your worse days; thoughts of excessive calories and not having worked out being all you could think about. You’d stared at yourself in the mirror for what seemed like hours, cursing every flaw of your body and wondering why me.
Without your boyfriend home, it had just felt like there was no reason to fatten yourself.
“Hey,” Regulus mutters, laying his palm facing upwards on your lap. You take it. “You’re getting in your head again.”
“Sorry.”
“Nothing to be sorry for, lovely girl.” He reaches out to gently brush a stray hair away from your face. “But do you think you could try to eat something? Please?”
Your heart stops, and it’s like your mind is reeling back into its hiding spot already. No lies on the tip of your tongue.
“It doesn’t have to be a lot, dove, he continues quietly, rubbing your fingers. “Just a few bites. You need fuel, you know.”
Regulus is looking into your eyes with that silent look now, the one which makes you feel like he’d do just about anything to save you from yourself. You don’t think you could ever say no to him.
And it wasn’t like you’d eaten anything today. You were allowed this, for your boyfriend, right?
“Fine.”
He smiles softy and tugs you closer, stamping a kiss to the side of your forehead and picking up the bowl of pasta from beside him. “So, remember that bouquet I bought you last week?”
He starts to make casual conversation as he feeds you, and you do your best to listen. It goes all the way from those flowers were expensive! to maybe we should get a cat — or a new apartment — but NOT a dog.
The food gets lodged in your throat every now and then, but you force yourself to swallow. The ‘full’ feeling starts to creep up on you like your shadow.
Regulus can sense it. “Okay, but why the hell do you like dogs?”
You decide to indulge him and go off on a tangent about the fluffy beasts, which pulls your mind away from its dark corner. The conversation makes the chore of eating easier.
You’re sure he knows what he’s doing, but you’re going to let him anyway.
Before you know it, you’re laughing so hard you don’t even realize the bowl is empty. He stands up to put it away before you get the chance to think too hard about it.
Regulus sits back down next to you. He starts to tell you about the stars, then, and you listen intently. It’s late, but you wouldn’t know what time it is. Time didn’t exist in your little bubble.
At one point you’ve curled into him the furthest you can. Your eyelids are being pulled down by the weight of fatigue, his comforting presence lulling you closer towards sleep.
He thinks you don’t hear it when he murmurs a soft I’m proud of you. You do.

Green smoke and golden smiles— barty crouch jr x reader
Tumblr media
Summary: you find yourself at a Gryffindor party, celebrating with Lily and the marauders on a win against Slytherin. Barty decides to crash it, prank the Gryffindors and steal you away to get to know you.
Hufflepuff reader, fluff, Barty calls reader darling and my lady, super cute!
Credit to @strangergraphics-archive for the lovely dividers :)
Tumblr media
The Gryffindor common room was alive in a way that only followed a narrow victory against Slytherin. Laughter and voices bounced off the stone walls, and red and gold streamers, charmed to burst into mini-fireworks, spiraled across the ceiling in dizzying loops. Near the bar, which boasted an impressive line-up of Butterbeer, Firewhiskey, and an alarming amount of snacks, Lily Evans was chatting animatedly with you, the token Hufflepuff in the crowd. Your easygoing friendship with Lily had opened doors you’d never anticipated, including one straight into the rowdy, reckless world of the Gryffindors.
You couldn’t help but smile as you glanced around, feeling a familiar, comfortable warmth. James was being his usual self, arm slung around Lily’s shoulders as he tried and failed to impress her with exaggerated retellings of his quidditch heroics. Sirius was close by, grinning and tossing popcorn into Peter’s mouth like it was some kind of game, while Remus sat on the sofa next to you, watching them with a faintly amused smile, occasionally chuckling at your comments and sipping a warm mug of Butterbeer. You were surrounded by friends, wrapped in warmth and cheer, and yet there was something gnawing at the edge of your mind— a sense that tonight wasn’t going to stay peaceful for long.
Tumblr media
In the back of your head, you could practically hear the gears of fate turning. After all, a win this close against Slytherin? They wouldn’t let a game this hard fought go without consequence.
And that’s when it happened. The Gryffindor portrait door burst open, the fat lady yelling obscenities as Barty Crouch Jr. strolled in, looking like he had every right to be there. With his classic lopsided grin, he paused at the threshold, one brow arched as he scanned the room with a gaze sharp enough to unsettle even the most stalwart lion. Trailing behind him were a small group of his Slytherin friends, each wearing expressions that ranged from smug to wary as they took in the Gryffindor revelry.
A hush fell over the crowd for a heartbeat. Then, true to Gryffindor form, James leaned toward Sirius with a snort, whispering just loud enough for you to hear, “Since when does Crouch drop by without hexing someone first?”
Sirius grinned, nudging him back. “Just give it a minute.”
Barty, meanwhile, held up his hands, that smirk never leaving his face. “Evening, Gryffindors!” He announced, voice effortlessly cutting through the chatter. “Thought I’d drop by to congratulate you lot on your narrow— and I mean narrow— victory today.”
A few students raised their Butterbeers, chuckling, though Lily rolled her eyes, muttering, “Oh, this should be good…”
He walked right up to her, bowing with an exaggerated flourish. “Lily Evans! Captain of this unruly pride of lions.” His grin widened and his eyes flitted around the group. “A spectacular game, truly. It’s Gryffindors like you who make these matches worth every bit of trouble”
“Oh, I’m sure that’s not all you’re here for,” Lily said, unimpressed but unable to hide her faint smile. Barty’s charm had an annoying way of creeping up on even the most suspicious of people.
You were trying not to laugh when he caught sight of you, and his expression shifted from playful to intrigued, his eyes narrowing just a bit as they took you in. Then, in one smooth motion, he turned from Lily and closed the space between you with a look of casual interest, leaning in just close enough to spark a thrill of excitement in your stomach.
“And who might you be, tucked away here among all these lions?” He asked, eyes gleaming.
“Y/N,” you replied, fighting to keep your tone neutral. “I’m here with Lily.”
”Y/N,” he repeated slowly, as if savoring it. “The one and only Hufflepuff in a den of Gryffindors. Fascinating. Tell me, darling, how does one of your gentle disposition find themselves here, surrounded by all this… ferocity?”
”Just lucky, I suppose,” you quipped, surprised at how easily the words came.
He let out a low chuckle, glancing at the marauders with an amused smirk before looking back at you. “You’re certainly braver than I’d have guessed,” he murmured, a spark of something playful in his eyes. “Though, I’d advise staying close. If I know Gryffindors, there’s bound to be some… retaliation.”
You raised a brow, feigning innocence. “Retaliation? For what?”
He leaned in, voice dropping to a whisper that sent a chill down your spine. “Oh, nothing too sinister. Just a little fog to set the mood.”
Before you could question him further, a loud pop echoed through the common room, and in an instant the space was filled with thick, swirling green mist, tinted in unmistakeable colors. There were shrieks and laughter as green fireworks began going off, Gryffindors stumbling blindly, coughing and waving their hands in front of their faces. Even the maraduers were caught off guard, fumbling around in the chaos, yelling and laughing as they tried to locate each other.
In the confusion, you felt a hand slip around yours, warm and steady. You didn’t need to see his face to know it was Barty. With a grin you couldn’t see but could practically feel, he pulled you through the haze and out into the hallway, leaving the chaos behind you.
Once outside, he turned to you, grinning as he gave a mock bow. “My lady, saved from the treacherous fog by none other than yours truly.”
You laughed, catching your breath, swatting at the green powder bound to stain your sweater. “Saved? You started that!”
”Perhaps,” he said, looking infuriatingly pleased with himself, “But you can’t deny I got you out in one piece, can you?”
”I suppose I can’t,” you admitted, unable to stop smiling. “Though, I have to admit, that was… well-executed.”
”I’m a man of many talents, what can I say?” He shrugged, as if leading a stealth operation into the Gryffindor common room was just another day for him. Then, his tone softened, though the mischievous light never left his eyes. “But tell me, Y/N… what are you doing here?”
You crossed your arms, pretending to scrutinize him. “If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were trying to chat me up, Crouch.”
”Trying?” He raised an eyebrow, placing a hand over his heart. “You wound me. Here I thought I was doing a splendid job.”
You laughed, feeling a blush creep up at his confidence. “Maybe you are, just a little.”
”Only a little?” He asked, feigning disappointment. But he was smiling, that lopsided grin that could probably melt ice if it tried. “Well, that’s a start.”
He took a step closer, eyes flickering over you with a hint of genuine curiosity. “It’s not every day I meet someone who can handle a little chaos with such grace. Most would’ve hexed me by now.”
”Maybe I have a soft spot for chaos,” you teased, feeling bolder than usual.
“Oh, dangerous,” he murmured, eyes lighting up. “And here I thought Hufflepuff were all sweetness and sunshine.”
”Well, maybe we are,” you replied, unable to hold back a smile. “But we’re also more than people think.”
At that, he let out a laugh, warm and rich. “I’ll have to remember that.” Then, offering his arm with a wink, he leaned closer. “So, what do you say, darling? Feel like risking another adventure tonight?”
You glanced back toward the common room, where the Gryffindors were slowly recovering from the smoke bomb. The thought of slipping away into a night of spontaneity with Barty felt like a much better way to spend the rest of your evening.
Grinning, you looped your arm through his. “Alright, Crouch. Show me what you’ve got.”
With that, he led you down the hallway, the two of you walking in step as the night stretched out before you, filled with possibility, laughter, and just the right amount of trouble.

innocence kink, perv! regulus, praising, creampie, breeding kink
———————————————————————
“This isn’t right…” You say anxiously as Regulus starts to take off your shirt. It had always been a regular occurrence for your best friend to come over, but nowadays it’s been… different. He’s been touching you in ways you didn’t know would make you feel so good.
“Of course this is right, baby,” He whispers as he unclips the back of your bra. His mouth salivates at the sight of your perky boobs. He’d missed your body so much. You cover your body nervously. “Don’t you trust me?”
“I trust you, but—“ You say when he holds up a finger to your mouth. You frown. He gently grabs your arms. You look down to see a bulge poking through his pants.
“Stop hiding, okay? Be a good girl for me,” He sighs. You finally stop hiding yourself, not wanting to disappoint him. He kisses your lips softly and you immediately melt into the kiss. He begins to remove all your clothes now, revealing that pretty pussy he had longed to see ever since that night in your room.
“Such a beautiful, little, virgin pussy,” He smirks, pinching your clit. Your hips twitch as your squeak. “Lay down, darling.”
You lay down on the pillows, legs closed insecurely. Regulus crawls over and forces your legs open harshly. He groans at the sight of your wet pussy waiting for him as he unzips his pants. His cock pops out once he pulls down his boxers, red and angry at the tip. You whimper when the head of his dick teases your virgin folds.
“Reggie…” You mumble and moan quietly. Your legs spread wider every second. “Will it hurt?”
Your best friend chuckles and nods. He grabs his cock and slaps it on your clit. “Just a bit, baby. But it’ll feel good after a little while, trust me.”
He positions his length and slowly pushes in. You gasp, feeling the burn sensation around your pussy. Regulus chokes on his moan as you clench around him. The feeling begins to overwhelm you, and you slap his chest desperately.
“Too much!” You cry. You shake your head, closing your legs quickly. He growls and pushes your thighs back open. He slaps your pussy as if you’re being punished for disobeying him. You cry out. “Reggie, t-too much!”
“Stop acting like a child. I’m barely in yet,” He laughs at you, leaning down to kiss your neck comfortingly. He continues to push his cock in slowly. You whine as your legs begin to spread out instinctively. “There ya’ go, darling. Show me that pretty cunt.”
You moan loudly once he bottoms out, his thrusts slow and coordinated as he hits all your right spots. You gasp, eyes widening when you see his cock bulging through your stomach. He should’ve prepped you with his fingers before, because fuck, you’re squeezing around him.
“So fucking tight for me,” He grunts as his thrusts speed up. His hand moves down to play with your clit. “Perfect pussy, but only for me, yeah?”
You nod as you cry his name loudly. He smirks and holds up your legs so he can find your good spots better. Tears stream down your face, and all the pretty makeup you had put on for Regulus had been smeared.
“You like it?” He whispers in your ear, slapping your ass harshly. He groans and throws his head back when your hole clenches around his hard dick. He bucks his hips at a fast pace, not giving you time to breathe. “Tell me how much you like it, slut. No other cock can make you feel this way, I promise.”
“Reggie! I love it!” You cry loudly. It hurts but it feels so good. You open your eyes to look at Regulus, and the innocent gaze you give him almost makes him cream inside you. He pulls out and you whine, missing the feeling of him inside you. He sits up and grabs your hips, placing you on his lap. You gasp as sink down on him, bouncing your ass desperately.
“Good girl already knows what to do,” Regulus bites his lip, laughing as you fuck yourself on top of him. His length is so much deeper in you this way. He holds your hips and thrusts into you. The feeling is overwhelming. He pinches your nipples. “You want my cum? You’d look so hot pregnant. Everyone would know who fucked those babies into you.”
You nod like the little innocent girl you are, wanting his babies so bad. Your cunt clenches around him as you imagine yourself pregnant with Regulus’ children. He groans loudly as his hips still. His warm semen shoots inside of you, making you cum right after. You moan his name, still creaming around him.
“Reggie…” You whimper, looking into his eyes. He pulls out of you and you sniffle. His finger circles the cum that’s leaking out your pussy, and he pushes it back inside you.
“You were so good for me, darling,” He whispers into your ear, kissing you softly. He slaps your overstimulated cunt once again, rubbing your clit. You jump and let out a small cry. “Don’t let any other man touch you now. You’re not a sweet, little virgin anymore. You’re mine.”
“I’m yours,” You nod with a pout on your face. He smiles and cleans himself up.
“Want me to run a bath?” He hums, playing with your hair. You nod.
“Can you bathe with me?” You ask shyly, a blush on your face. Regulus smiles, still enjoying the innocence that’s he trying so hard to keep.
“Don’t have to ask me twice,” Your best friend says, kissing your cheek as he carries you to the bath.

📸 BETTER THAN REVENGE
synopsis. after a fight with sirius, regulus comes to his girlfriend sulking and she decides to have a little talk with his older brother.
notes. regulus black x malfoy!reader
Tumblr media
you and regulus had many more similarities than anyone could guess just by simply looking at the two of you. the most obvious included your background — ancient, pureblood families, who were nuts about purity, both in slytherin, both richer than most of the hogwarts students together, and in everyone’s eyes you were petty, stubborn and pretentious.
you two were petty and seemed pretentious, but it wasn’t all that. the two of you both had siblings, who maybe cared about you in some way, but never showed it well enough for you to be sure they cared. you were sure sirius cared, but you weren’t sure if lucius did. your brother was far from being a family guy.
both you and regulus were also painfully ambitious, and it kind of made the two of you so close as you were paired to one group in slughorn’s classes, and to secure yourself a top spot, you had to work together. and so half a year later, you were planning a trip to france, lying next to each other on the bed in his dorm.
after that one summer everything has changed, and now you two were an official couple, though not many people knew since neither of you wanted to make a big deal out of it. the amount of classes you shared had shrunken since you took different ones, but it just made your bond stronger.
it all happened on a week before both of you were supposed to return to your respective houses (though, regulus would be staying at potter’s), you were wrapping your present for barty, when your boyfriend stormed into the room. pandora, who sat there with you, claimed she would leave you two alone and left. you could easily see that something happened from the look on his face.
“reg,” you began, eyebrows furrowed at his sudden appearance. “is everything alright, love?” a soft ask left your lips as he just laid down on your bed, face buried in a pillow.
silence filled your room right after you finished your sentence. it was time for you to just sigh quietly, putting a hand on his back and scratching it gently. “you know you can talk to me, right?” your soft tone and the sensation of your nails on his back made him grunt.
“i’m not leaving for christmas.” he stated, catching you a little off guard. you were sure it was about the upcoming christmas ball that slughorn threw and since you were invited, regulus was ought to go with you. “i… got into a fight with sirius, so either we make up or i’m gonna go to my parents.” now, he was looking at you with misery and sadness flickering in his eyes.
“he thinks james is more of a brother to him than i am.” regulus adds, his head now resting on top of your laps as you play with his hair, trying to comfort him at least a little. “and he says it’s not that big of a deal, since i consider evan and barty my brothers and i’d probably say that they’re more of brothers to me than he is, but that’s not true.”
his words made your heart ache. it was clear to everyone in your friend group (including remus, who often just tagged along) to know how much regulus needed sirius’ validation, how much he needed to be reassured that he doesn’t hate him as much as regulus thought he did.
“i know we haven’t talked until he moved out, but it still hurts.” he whispered, not even looking you in the eyes. “and he doesn’t even recognize how much he means to me. he’s the only one in our entire family that matters more than everything. i got his initials and constellations tattooed and he thinks i would choose barty and evan over him?”
“you’re brother is an idiot, and i mean it.” you murmured, showering his head with kisses. if regulus was in his usual mood, he would say he just acts like an idiot, but now? he didn’t even want to defend him. “i’ll stay with you. i’d go nuts if i had to spend a minute with lucius.” you say softly, fingers running through his hair.
it took you a few more minutes to comfort him enough to leave your dorm for his evening practice, and even though you were supposed to finish packing your presents before christmas. you had to talk to one, annoying gryffindor, who was no other than sirius black.
getting into their common room was easy, lily, friend of a friend of yours, let you in after hearing your explanation, showing you how to get into sirius’ dorm that he shared with james, remus and peter. “one of you better hold me or i might kill your friend.” you let out, looking specifically remus, who looked at you with a glint of surprise.
“what did he do again?” lupin asked, his expression scolding. “what’re you doin’ here, malfoy?” peter began, but before he could elaborate, remus put a hand on his shoulder and shook his head as you looked for the perfect words.
“how can you be such an asshole, black?” you hissed, the end of your wand pointed at his throat. “one time you’re all on being the best older brother you can, but next time all i see in yourself is my brother, and believe me, that’s the furthest from a compliment.”
“i’m not done, yet.” your teeth gritted, eyes narrowed at him. “he’d never choose anyone over you, yet you’d always choose him —” you looked at james for half a second, then turned your eyes to sirius, again. “— over your own brother, who’d jump into flames just if you asked him to? unbelievable.” you sighed, putting your wand down, sliding it into your boot. “and you know what’s the worst in all that? that i wish he’d pick anyone else over you, but he won’t, because he can’t even get mad at you for not choosing him, he’s just sad.”
the atmosphere in the room is so tense, someone could cut it with knife. “you’re an idiot for making regulus feel so little about himself, and y’all are idiots for letting him.” another sight left your lips as your eyes were locked with sirius. “maybe even regulus will let you treat him like shit, but i won’t, black. i’ll make sure to haunt your dreams and turn them into nightmares, i can promise you that.” you gave him your most ironical smile. “i’m a malfoy, don’t underestimate me, cutie pie.” you sent him a wink,
“protective girlfriend, huh?” remus chuckled as you passed him, giving you a high-five. “oh you bet, lupin.” and you left, sirius almost shamless at your sudden outburst, but… it was quite impressive — though, he’d never admit it.
you haven’t seen neither of them till the next morning at breakfast, when they walked to the great hall together, talking about something until each of them got to their respective tables. “what did you do?” regulus asked, sitting on the bench beside you.
“what?” you asked with a sweet smile, nudging him lightly with your elbow. “just had a small talk with sirius, why?”
“a small talk? with the tip of your wand pressed against his throat?” you nodded at his words, sending him a fake-puzzled look. “you know i love you?” he bit back a smile, leaning closer to whisper those words right to your ear.
“oi, malfoy.” barty started, interrupting your somehow intimate moment with regulus. “theoretically, if i paid you, could you do that to me as well? that must’ve looked bloody hot.” crouch grinned, getting a light punch on the shoulder from your boyfriend.
“i would rather not touch you, crouch. i don’t know where the hell have you been.” you laughed, your head resting on regulus’ shoulder as his arm was wrapped around your waist. “don’t worry, baby. if any of them bothers you, i can fight.” you winked at him playfully.
