#tag talk#found and got accepted into a meetup group but the only upcoming events they have are all on days that I work aaaughhhhh#but I'm making progress. I've been getting out for regular walks. I got halfway setup with health insurance yesterday. got into meetup.#I still wanna check out fetlife and see if there's any kink events or groups that are local.#there'll definitely be stuff in the nearest bigger city but that's two hours away so I'm hoping there's at least something here#if not I'll cry. I don't wanna be stuck with my entire social life being on discord#oh also I need to look at classes from the local adult education center because that's another great way to spend time and meet people.#I know there should be an upcoming cna course cause I looked that up back in January before the move#and I wanna find a Spanish class so I can have some sort of conversational setting to get better practice with#and idk. maybe if they offer any art classes because I haven't taken one in AGES#I'll figure it out and make it happen.#so far the only really cool person at work who I stand a chance of clicking with is the maybe anime guy.#my last place had a really young demographic so I made some good friends there but this place is mostly people who've worked there 20 years#the main meetup groups around town are either religious or a board game group which.. very not interested in#but yeh. settling in is a process but I'm getting there.
