Alright people, if you've already had access to The Magnus Protocol episode 1 I need you to tell me if I'm clowning right now, or if I've just missed something vital in my 3+ re-listens of TMA

In episode 1 of The Magnus Protocol we find out 3 key facts:

The Archives of the Magnus Institute were located in Manchester

It burned down in 1999

Colin knows someone (the tapes/phones/whatever is recording them) is listening

These are canonical facts - 1 &2 were also confirmed on the Rusty Quill site via the series synopsis

So here's my thing - the Archives were defintely based in London and didn't burn down in 1999

So - are we looking at a time travel sort of scenario? Or is this an alternate reality scenario?

Because if we remember in the final season of TMA there was talks of releasing the fears into another reality since there were multiple versions of reality

So, is this a reality where maybe the Archives were located in Manchester? And maybe someone - either Gertrude or someone else - did succeed in burning down the Archives?
