After making a collage of Belle x Beast, I decided to do another one like it for Ariel x Eric, as they are also one of my favourite Disney couples. Like the previous collage, I didn't limit myself to the animated 1989 film and included the other franchises/medias they have appeared.

The Little Mermaid (1989), The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea, Kingdom Hearts II, The Little Mermaid (2023), Once Upon A Time, The Little Mermaid: Broadway Musical, Dreamlight Valley and Disney Speedstorm.

Ursula's Other Other Sister

So, we all know Morgana, and if you're in this side of Tumblr you've probably heard of (and raised an eyebrow over) Uliana, the infamous younger sisters of Urusla...

But turns out, there is another.

The continuously brilliant Collin Looks Back had finally done a restrospective video on Ursula, which can be found here (would highly recommend all of his Disney Villain Retrospectives or any video of his)

And at the very end of it, we are introduced to a Disney Parks Only character, who appeared for a Disney Diva Villains extravaganza event in 2000

Cala Mari, the self proclaimed "unauthorized" sister of Ursula.

She apparently MC'd the event, introducing various Disney Villainess as they performed skits and songs, and she even had her own minions/back up dancers in the form of a couple of "She- Urchins"

I love the Hard Deck scene in Top Gun: Maverick because it's the first scene of all the main Daggers together and meeting each other - but then as soon as Hangman and Rooster spot each other, the other five just become a Greek chorus, or the sea creatures in The Little Mermaid singing "Kiss the Girl" (which was, essentially, a Greek chorus)

idc what anyone says, jonah was not only the perfect person to play prince eric, but also the perfect person to sing wild uncharted waters for the film! the fact that he doesn’t have a traditional or trained musical theatre voice simply added to the emotions of the song and where it fell in the story! the rawness! the longing! the passion! the desperation! the absolute british-ness of how he sings it! the way he emphasizes certain words and phrases! i have yet to hear a cover that captures all of those things the way jonah did in the movie! and i hope you’re there! in the open air! there’s no map ooor COMpass to guiiiide me, no! time may change the shoreline, but TIME will not chaaaange meeeeeh! if it takes my life, i will FINally find you aaaagain!
