@cheshirepirouette im so glad someone else hates the replicant remake graphics, I think it worked well in Automata when the characters were androids/machines and not human so the uncanny look fits but man. they shortened kaines face and thinned her body out and then whitewashed her and everybody else and it just makes me sick to look at. they look dehydrated😭

#kaine especially is just so rought in the remake i see a side profile of her and just think about how weirdly younger she looks #which. does not make [points to her outfit] much better if theyre actively de-aging her #i also think that like aesthetically the new art style just ruins some of the Punch the enviroments had #like emil being as washed out as his mansion no longer makes meeting this normal-seeming child in a haunted mansion #feel out of place and strange. now he looks like he Belongs there which i feel contradicts what his meeting is meant to make you feel #the lighting is so horseshit in the remake it feels like its always Foggy out and doesnt give the sense of like #climate change and Warmth that the original does with its super bright lights and dark shadows
