if anon wants to know more about HLD block:

It was literally from nowhere, when they posted about the festival location, their (venue's) own website had already done it;

A theory was that some solos told him they were leaking/sharing leaks of some unreleased songs which also not true, it was an anon account on twitter, I saw with my own eyes;

Also some said he was "against" they having the option of "superfan" which is like a paid subscription for special info - nothing different than people on instagram these days or paid newsletters;

Everything they posted for superfans was on everyone's general tl in seconds and they never said anything against it;

They did weekly listening parties; special events, created games, interactions, charity drives on their bdays, lots of giveaways too, they had partnership with apps, institutions, other UAs, campaigned heavily for audience voting awards, ect;

They had around 500k followers by then, more than any other Louis UA and only behind harryflorals on ig for Harry, so blocking your biggest UA has to be dumb as fuck for an artist who talks so much about love and gratefulness for his fans, they never did anything so horrible to justify blocking;

They didn't announced right away and I imagine were trying to figure out what to do and what had happened, they asked if people would prefer for them to become a solo H account (since according to the world, Louis hated them), majority asked them to keep updating about Louis;

There are old stupid arguments that oh they update more on H or oh they only talk about L, but it's all solo bs! They can't update equally on both when one is in the middle of promo and the other is mia???

The block, photo of Louis "with F" at a playground/park and the infamous message to Bentleys weird mom all happened in a span of few weeks;

AFTER THE BLOCK, Louis' and BMG team used HLD explicitly on FITF promo. LTHQ liked a comment under THEIR post to hint at the hidden track names, they (bmg) literally posted a vid showing the marketing campaign where their page was open (same campaign that glaringly also engaged with several LARRIE Tumblr blogs), hypocrisy much?

There are Louis UAs that encouraged people to interact and "be nice" to mf Sofie after ONE pap shoot, always creating het dating scenarios for him, asked people to donate money for a f-ing aotv billboard that HIS TEAM should be responsible for, guilt-tripped fans daily for his streams, are extremely weird about his family, insult 1D, Harry and even the fact that Louis does covers on his own concerts and yet these don't seem to be reasons good enough for a block;

I'll be honest, I'm slightly side eyeing Louis' actions here. It doesn't make sense to me. Tho I do recognize that there is a LOT we don't know here.

All we have is the info HLD gave us, and from their understanding it happened because *someone* told Louis HLD was leaking stuff, and leaked/spread the festival info before he did. We don't know if there's 100% proof that this is the reason. Maybe HLD knows for a fact, but I understand if they can't post it. We don't know.

I just find it odd, impulsive and tbh a bit immature to block your biggest UA in what reads as a bit of a spiteful emotional reaction. Based on what? The word of ONE other UA? If one stopped to asses the situation they would see that HLD *didn't* leak the festival info. It was everywhere online and on the website of the venue, and a band who is playing in it had posted about it. So it makes little sense to put all the blame on 1 UA for it, especially when so many others posted too.

The only thing against HLD here *is* the fact that they *are* Louis' biggest UA and as such have the biggest reach. So perhaps in Louis' eyes that counts as the reason for them to be the ones to blame? But we don't know.

Regardless, I don't think this is a very smart decision on his part. HLD do essentially free publicity for him. And they have a massive reach. So it feels odd to basically freeze them out.

Other things at play that we simply don't know are:

We don't know HLD's previous relationship with Louis. Maybe they've spoken before, or maybe this was the culmination of other small things that annoyed Louis. WE DON'T KNOW

We don't know Louis' plans for his upcoming era. I'd understand if he wanted his identity as an artist to be independent from Harry. It makes sense as an artist. UAs get quoted in articles all the time, so maybe that is one factor that counts against HLD too, sadly. But regardless of Larry, artists want an independent identity, and being tied to another artist is not optimal. - and again WE DON'T KNOW

Also important to point out tho, he only blocked them on Twitter for some reason. HLD still follows him on IG.

Regardless tho, I just don't see this as a smart decision, and I'd imagine his management wouldn't approve this either, tho idk how much they care about these things, or if they even know. Regardless, I just don't see the need. But I also don't have all the facts, nor do I know Louis' actual reasoning here.

How is that a leak though?? I would understand if one website accidentally posted it, or even two. But five? On the same day? Come on, not to sound mean or anything, but this looks like a mistake on Louis' end (or on the end of the streaming service that is producing this doc). All these websites got greenlit for the same moment, but someone forgot the official announcement.

I’m either blocked by or have blocked all larrie run UAs, and no solo louie run UAs post information that Louis or his team themselves haven’t confirmed, so I wasn’t even aware that more than one website posted about the documentary. And I’d rather remain in the dark about it too.

But yeah I get what you’re saying, there’s major incompetency or blatant lack of professionalism surrounding most announcements when it comes to Louis’ professional projects. Takes the excitement out of things for sure. Especially if you’re actively trying to stay involved in fandom, and not just someone on the outskirts/casual fan (which tbh he doesn’t have many of anyways).

*sigh* anon…… whichever UA puts the info on my dash first, i reblog the post from them. it just so happens that hsd has always been the fastest, rip? they also provide uncropped pics (although not always, lol) and full captions, which is something i’m always interested in, even if i don’t always reblog the original; sometimes it’s just the edit. (that’s usually the case w/ fan pics, i don’t really like to have strangers’ faces on my blog, so if i can avoid it, i do, and reblog only the edits. i also like pretty edits in general, and other UAs are far better at them, so often i reblog the original + edits, and sometimes from two or three different sources.) i do realise that ever since harry went solo, other good update blogs appeared, but Back In the Day it was just fyz and then thedailystyles. i appreciate having the ability to choose who to reblog from now, especially now that other UAs are better at proving the full context/uncropped versions, too, but i also don’t see the Point of plain reposting (usually of pap pics only), aka blogs like that abettersourceforyou one? like we all know where the original comes from, so is it really that important that hsd don’t get more notes on their posts? 

and things have changed, but Back In the Day fyz really were the only ones who were able to Somehow get quick access to (steal) pap pics, lol. i also don’t really know who’s behind the blog anymore? a long time ago the members were public, but then it changed. don’t remember when, maybe around the time when there was this Big Expose about them getting an offer to join some person’s ~business consisting of owning/&backing up financially fan-run blogs? (a big tswift blog among them.) and don’t ask me the details about that, it’s ancient stuff and i literally don’t remember almost anything about it (i think we learned about it purely because one member didn’t like it, and decided to leak the info? but i’m not sure), dunno if i’d still find it all as legit as i did back then, and also frankly i don’t give a fuck, but i imagine that it’s v. possible, and that that’s how they had escaped that lawsuit from jojopics, for example. anyway, my point is that we haven’t seen any real personal posts/indirects/hate/etc. from them in a long time? (unless they do that on twitter or sth, i only follow them on tumblr.)  i don’t know who runs it now, and if they’re really such haters still? these days they mostly seem satisfied with uncritically being up harry’s/jeff’s/harry’s ~clique asses? which might be annoying/amusing, but isn’t really hurting anyone. and i’m just a person who wants to reblog a pic when i see it on my dash when i’m online.
