I was stupid on Friday. I watched the following in this order:

1) The last twilight ep 11

2) Pit Babe ep 10

3) My Demon ep 15

Isn't this self sabotage???

Why did I watch them???

Why is this my therapy???

Why does therapy cause pain???

I have lost a lot of tears. Someone needs to pay for it.

Again, more than Episode 11™️ curse, it does seem that P'Aof is trying to make this series more realistic by targeting some sort of open-ending (Possibly, with a slight glimmer of hope. This is still P'Aof, after all). Like always, this kind of controversial choice would prolly not go well with some fans. However, as I pointed out in previous posts, it's not like it would be a surprise if the series did choose to go down this road as they gave numerous hints to it - the biggest one is the lyrics of the end credit song (sung by William Jakrapatr). Unless P'Aof is giving us a red herring (which, I wouldn't put past him), one way or another, it does look like Episode 12 will break our hearts.

It is poetic cinema that at the start of the series we see that a blind man is dependable to the caretaker, that the purpose of hiring the caretaker is to guide the blind man in daily lives with hope until he is able to take care of himself without help. But by the end of the series, we see that the caretaker is actually dependent of the blind man, of love, of assurance, of being seen. Even maybe to help him feeling less guilty of his sister's death. Aof's art in story telling is one I will religiously follow forever.

Mohks scared of losing someone because he’s not there, because of what happened with his sister. This has nothing to do with the fact that Day is blind and ‘can’t take care of himself’. Day taking it as pity rather than fear is just him not listening why Mohk doesn’t wanna go.

It’s bad Mohk lied about it and he should have just been upfront. But he did not want to make Day feel guilty for holding him back. He does not want to leave. (It’s a hard choice even without having a significant other)

​Mohk was testing the waters by saying Day should come with him when he gets the job. but as someone who lost his support system he knows how hard it is and he does not want to pull Day out of his. We all saw Days face when Mohk told him about the job being in Hawaii. He looked sad thinking of Mohk possibly leaving .

yeah this is the version i would've preferred i guess. with mhok still going to the usa and it being emotional and him trusting day to take care of himself and forgiving himself for not having picked up his sister's phone call still being obstacles he has to work through; but without the break-up. i'm just not convinced break-ups are the only way to convey couples working through a rough patch and needing their own space to grow you know?

I find it kind of fucked up that nobody even thought to follow Mhok after how he bared his heart and was treated like that. Also, Day makes himself the victim when Mhok clearly needs Day, not the other way around. It has nothing to do with pity, instead with Mhok being scared that he will lose Day like he has lost everyone else. He just wants to be with Day as much as possible because we can't tell what the future holds. To take his words and turn them against him, intentionally choosing not to try to understand what his words meant, is really fucked up.

Is the narrative gonna treat Mhok worse than August ??

Why I have no problem with there being a separation ark but I still hate the last scene of ep 11.

I think the discussion about the separation arc from what I’ve seen lacks nuance. I dislike the last scene of episode 11. It hurt me so bad. And makes me sooo angry. But it’s not bc I think a separation would be bad. It’s just about how it is executed. It’s how Mhok gets punished by the narrative for being traumatised. It’s how Day (I don’t hate him for it. It’s not really his fault) gets to grow and overcome his issues with ppl helping him, with loved ones at his side. While Mhok has to suffer and grow alone. How Mhok makes mistakes and gets punished so severely every time.

I understand that Day is angry and hurt. And that he doesn’t think rational in this moment, that’s why he acts this way. I think it’s only human. Everyone makes mistakes and reacted selfish from time to time. But if they really did the time skip with Day and Mhok not talking things out, it would be a huge disservice to their relationship and the narrative the story is trying to tell. Even f**** August would have gotten more forgiveness for his actions than Mhok. And August offense was way worse.

What I want from the next episode is Day going to Mhok before he flies to Hawaii.

Maybe he had a chat with Porjai before where she tells him that even to her Mhok is closed off and doesn’t let anyone know his struggles bc of reasons and Day seeing It was never about his disability but just about Mhoks own struggles.

Then I want to go to him and them talking about it. Day apologising for beeing to emotional and breaking up. Day saying he is really hurt by Mhok not telling him about his struggles bc he wants to support him just as Mhok has supported him. And them agreeing on a long distance relationship. Where Mhok goes to Hawaii unde the condition that Mhok tells Day about all of his worries and struggles from now on. That Day is there to support him even if it is from afar. And maybe get some hobbies and friends on his own while he is at it. Or maybe he just doesn’t go to Hawaii at all bc I don’t think he really wants to.

That would also mirror the first break up they had, where day fired Mhok. I think at this point it would be out of character for Day to just not apologise or say anything to Mhok. When he went to August after their thing and even confronted the dad after the wedding.

I just think that Mhok needs time to grow and get over his fears and learn to be a whole person for himself and not to live just for others. But I think it’s not fair that he has to do it alone and isolated. He deserves a support system too

IM SCREAMING. Okay so I feel like there’s so much fucking stress in this episode. Day clearly has insecurities when it comes to feeling like a burden. He LOVES Mhok so much he doesn’t want to hold him back. BUT Mhok has trauma from his sister- and it’s a very real fear that drives him to be near Day.

They NEED this time apart. Day needs time to realise that Mhok did not pity him and Mhok needs time apart to gain confidence in Day and get that security that Mhok can let his loved ones out of his sight and nothing bad would happen.

I also feel like this can either bode well for their relationship or it will crush Mhok into a pit of despair- because what value does he provide other people if he doesn’t keep them safe?

… if I had a penny for every time a P'Aof show had one of the boys pounding away at something with a mortar and pestle in the same episode as we get to see something about that boy and his boyf sharing a first sexual experience together, I'd have two pennies. but it's still strange that it happened twice.

Me while watching Last Twilight Ep. 11:

It just occured to me that the feeling of dread I've been feeling in the last episode is the fact that we will be watching the penultimate, the notorious Episode 11™️, which means a breakup is almost inevitable (I don't make the laws, blame the BL gods) 😅 Also, we have yet to see a P'Aof cameo.

1. An eye donation and operation on Christmas Eve? It's a Christmas miracle! If, and only if, this works 😭 Also hope those eyes DO NOT belong to anybody we know 😭😭😭

2. So, were back to reading the Little Prince? I tell you, I don't like the ending of that book 😭😭😭 though it's nice to see Night able to tell dirty jokes with Day now 😭😭😭

3. Again, I don't get Mum. Sure, it is natural to worry about your disabled kid. However, Mhok has demonstrated that he is more than capable of taking care of Day, if that is truly what she is looking for. Yet, her concerns comes out as snubbish as she seems to equate "care" with Mhok's job or his bank account (or the lack thereof).

4. <after the doctor removed the eye pads> I don't think it worked 😭😭😭 That sucked. Day has already given up hope that he could see one day, then in comes the hospital giving him another ray of hope, only for it to be dashed once again 😔 Also, the way Night hugged his little brother. I kennat 😭😭😭 This is heavy and we're only on Part 1 of 4 😱

5. Oooh, Porjai has given birth!!! But where is Daddy-ready Night? <after 5 seconds> There he is! What do you mean "oldest Uncle", Porjai??? 😂😂😂 Night obvs does not agree. Ngl, naming the baby Me is a bit confusing lol

6. Is Mum finally warming up to Mhok? Also, Day why are you sharing your Mum's trade secrets to Mhok in front of her salad? Lololol

7. So this "work trip" is a test? Also, hello, head chef P'Au 😅 Looks like P'Aof has passed his cameo baton to his protegé 😂😂😂

8. Ugh. Yeah, that would bore me to death - just staying in the room and waiting for Mhok to arrive from work. However, I think no amount of salary can remedy that - unless, Day also finds something meaningful to do with his life while Mhok is working.

9. I see the sh*t-stirring member of the prod crew in BBS (forgot his name) still stirring some sh*t in this series 😂😂😂 If I were him, I'm going to start demanding P'Aof and P'Au to give him a nice(r) character and better scenes in their next series 😂😂😂😂

10. I think that the lure of working abroad and ultimately be able to "care" for Day (like Mhon wanted to) will be irresistable. <after 5 seconds> Oh, wait. This isn't another one of those "so-close-I-can-almost-taste-it-but-the-moment-got-away-from-me", isn't it??? 😭😭😭 <after another 5 seconds> Whelp, it was.

11. Why would Mum be worried about Mhok? What is happening??? <after 5 seconds> Oh no. MHOK WAS CHOSEN. However, he didn't want to leave Day 😭😭😭 But Mhok, one of the main reasons why Day fell in love with you is because you have always treated him normally. Don't let your trauma (of Rung's un-aliving) dictate the future of your relationship. 😭😭😭

Whelp, there we have it. The curse of Episode 11™️ has officially landed here. I am Night in this episode. I don't understand what happened that brought us here 😭😭😭

just one last thing: i don't even like the trope of having one half of the couple "maturing in another country with timeskip included." i don't like that their entire conflict could have actually happened without the long-distance aspect. especially since the core of the problem wasn't actually about hawaii at all. and this is something p'aof has used as a transition between the penultimate and finale before. like. pls think of something new. but i'm giving the show some grace bc although i didn't hugely favor the execution of these past 2 eps, i have no problem with the conflict itself having happened and why it did. (would have been interesting if the breakup had happened in an earlier ep tho. like, break the mold! come on!) i just want to know why p'aof is so interested in moral conflicts and presenting them within life-altering, potentially damaging contexts (*cough* bad buddy & atots *cough*).
