Omg I’m so sorry if there’s one thing people discover about me after getting to know me it’s that I’m terrible at checking my notifications!

It started as a social anxiety thing but then unfortunately became a habit. I’m really excited that you wanted to get to know me better though (I assume it’s because I reblog and ramble so much in your tags KSBFKAHSJA 🙈)!

Favourite color: I used to say rainbow, but I fully admit now my favourite is turquoise! Alternate favourite is pink, and I suppose third place is blue. 😆

You caught me on a very Xiao Gui day; I realized recently it’s been a while since I listened to him and I needed something to really spur me on while I tried not to cry write my thesis, so I’ve been looping his songs all day! 😆

Bonuses include Nope (2022) for work, and 30,000 Miles from Chang’an (Chang’an san wan li, 2023) being the last film I watched in theatres!

Shows I dropped this year/didn't finish:

Mao Zhi Ming (not because I didn’t want to; the second season ended while I was out travelling and Bilibili paywalled them… I need to consider whether I want to renew a subscription with them or iQIYI first for You Yao GKSNKFSJJS)

Not sure if this counts, but I considered watching Frieren but a recent spoiler from a friend makes me less interested in it… Which is kind of fine since when it comes to anime, I probably would’ve prioritized The Apothecary Diaries anyway ahaha.

And I’m not sure when I’ll find the time for some stuff (I may just continue absorbing it through fandom osmosis) like Boruto and Precure…

I also fully admit sometimes I just stop watching things part-way through not because I don’t love the thing, but because I either don’t have time or I didn’t want it to end. 🙈

I may have “dropped” this one—but only temporarily! I do want to pick it back up! It’s also currently airing its spin-off, Quan Zhi Ming… qwq

I just finished Pink Globalization for my thesis and now I’m starting some articles on kpop studies…

Also chipping away (terribly slowly) at some western Chinese-inspired fantasy such as The Poppy War and Daughter of the Moon Goddess (it has been…some months since I last touched them otl)

If it counts, I’m also reading like…a million manhua at once SLFJSKSJ. It’s basically become my source of comfort media for whenever I’m stressed, especially since I don’t have a lot of time to consume seasonal shows right now! Sort of like how the latest seasons of Xi Yang Yang became my comfort show while I was working on my undergrad thesis haha (which I also need to catch up on 😭). If anyone wants recs, I have donghua/manhua ones here, and more bl/gl manhua recs here!

Besides that thesis I should really be working on (and a conference paper for a different class) plus some other school/work stuff…

I’m still writing a few SVSSS fics, including a new chapter for the Bing-ge dreams one I feel really bad for leaving people on a cliff-hanger for so long (it’s been what, a year or two? 😭)

And some Erha fics! Including the final two chapters for the Chu Wanning birthday fic. 💪

I also hope to start some doodles/drabbles for Bingqiu week

And maybe a few more OC drawings/(re)designs? I did a lot right before the OC-tober event, but it’s been long enough I’ve gone without drawing I can feel my fingers itchiiiiing

Current Obsession:

Oh definitely some manhua, like See You My King, My Lovely Troublemaker, Don’t Say You Love Me, Kiss the Abyss, Hidden Love, You Are My Desire, I Ship My Rival x Me, Blemishing the Contaminated, and so on! I have a tendency to bounce around a lot of obsessions and brain rots at once, so my brain becomes a carousel just cycling through them. 😅

But it was a school library book so I couldn't keep it and book stealing is bad
