ive noticed a pattern in the music that repeats in jeremy and christines relationship so heres my analysis

first up, we have the "christine" tune. you know the one im talking about. i think this tune is used to represent the stage of their relationship when their feelings are not mutual. mostly its used whenever they are talking ABOUT her, or jeremys love for her. for example when she appears and jeremy watches from a distance, or when the squip uses her and jeremys crush as leverage, like in upgrade. it’s also used in the play when christine gets squipped, and professes her “love” to jeremy. again, it’s still technically not mutual

then, we have the whole melody with “why am i telling this to you / guess there’s a part of me that wants to / i guess a part of me likes to [whatever]”. now this bit is used to represent when the feeling IS mutual, or when jeremy (and the audience) thinks it’s mutual. it’s in ilpr, a guy that i’d kinda be into, and when christine finally decides to go out with jeremy in voices in my head. in ilpr that line obviously makes us and jeremy believe christine has some sort of attraction or whatever to jeremy and just the SLIGHTEST chance the feelings might be mutual. in guy that i’d kinda be into the verse is again obviously MAJOR hinting at jeremy and us that maybe christine IS talking about jeremy, maybe it IS mutual. and voices in my head is self explanatory. i’m specifically repeating the word mutual just to make it more obvious

also fun little extra in a guy that i’d kinda be into, “she is totally into you” is the same tune as “why am i telling this to you”. the “why am i telling this to you” tune is a sort of god i can’t think of the word rn but like beginning?? hinting?? at the mutual-ness, which could totally tie back to the i guess voices in jeremy’s head telling him “yeah she IS into you, the feeling is mutual” yk what i’m talking about. it’s all a concept in my brain that i can’t articulate roll with it

now case in point, i think the little scene that made me realise and come up with all this bullshit can better represent everything. the scene at the halloween party, a guy that i’d kinda be into reprise. it starts off with the second melody, the mutual melody. “it’s kinda killer to sit and chat with you” and all that of course leads jeremy (and us) to believe christine might reciprocate his feelings, that it might be mutual. and then it shifts into the first melody, the not mutual melody, when jeremy’s gearing himself up to ask her out and christine turns him down because it’s not mutual

Do you have a favorite spooky/horror movie that's by Black writers/directors or starring Black actors? My favorite spooky movie of all time is the new Haunted Mansion movie starring LaKeith Stanfield. It came out last year and it's great for people like me who want something spooky to watch around Halloween but are deeply deeply cowards and can't watch proper horror films.

This is gonna sound cliche, but I really appreciate the existence of Get Out. Part of it is that it came out as I was starting to realize the world around me, to be more aware- more "woke", as it is actually meant to be used. So it hit stronger for me as I was realizing my... Tenuous position in a white world.

What I really like about Get Out- about horror movies made by us- is that it is specifically scary for Black people. It is Black horror. Nobody white watching that movie had any reason to be scared. It could never be you targeted. You will never be unsafe, because the predator is you. YOU are the slave catcher, the body stealer, the mind flayer!

It is the constant terror and frustration of being Black in a white world that deems you lesser, while simultaneously wanting the benefits of your body- of being you. How am I less than you, but you want to possess me? What makes you think you have the right to my body, unless you genuinely see my soul as inhuman? Jordan Peele hit that so well. Especially with how Rose lured in some Black people by presenting as "an ally, nice white person", while Jeremy would just jump Black people outright. IDC how "polite" the former is, at the end of the day they were both body snatchers committing equivalent heinous racial violence.

Yeah, that's a good movie. It should be studied in every film school ever. Y'all shouldn't be allowed to graduate from any creative field without understanding perspectives from people of color, it bothers me- doesn't shock me, but bothers me- that y'all don't.

I. ROXANNA AGRICHE - MOTH

A very pretty yellow moth with red accents, similar to the poison butterflies but with more of a sheen

She stays with you most of the time, perched on the top of your head or on your finger if you're wearing a hood

You had to research what moths eat because you didn't want her to die (she thanked you once she turned back)

Jeremy wanted to look after her for a while, so you agreed. Unbeknownst to you, he didn't know that moths are attracted to light

He set fire to some logs in a forest during the night when on a mission and was startled when his sister was moving towards the fire (bro was scared shitless)

After returning her to you, you decided to read a book in the gardens. Roxanna was resting on a button on your gown, as you both read the pages

Overall a very well behaved moth 10/10

II. DION AGRICHE - HOUND DOG

A black-purpely dog with bright red eyes (they glow in the dark bro trust) with rough fur yet fluffy ears

He rests his head on your lap to pass the time. He doesn't want to lean into dog stereotypes where you throw him a bone or dog toy, and he races to catch it (you did it once, he was not amused)

Kinda like your guard dog, bit Fontaine in the ass one time when he was talking to you and barked at servants to leave you both alone

He doesn't like to admit it, but he likes having his ears rubbed. He unconsciously wags his tail and you refuse to let him know that

He refuses to admit he's a dog. He tried walking into Lante's office and was promptly escorted out, not without a bark or two

Licks your hand when you eat food when there's some sauce or crumbs left. It's not that different when he was human, but it's cuter now

Overall 9/10 (+2 if he allows cuddles)

III. JEREMY AGRICHE - CAT

Small blue cat. Idc fight with the wall but cat Jeremy is a baby

NEEDS to be touching you. He went to sleep on the pillow next to your head and woke up with his ass in your face

He can be a bit much, so attaching a small bell on your dress, and he'll be pawing at you for hours, or until he gets hungry

Sometimes, you hand him over to Roxana, and when she hands him back, you hear stories on how her brother tackled one of his younger siblings to the ground by scratching their face. It was funny, according to her

Gives your face licks when he wants your attention, and nuzzles into your neck when he's feeling eepy

I feel like at one point when he was drinking milk from a bowl, Dion saw and tipped Jeremy into the bowl, and he was just drowning, wailing at you to come save him

Overall 8/10 good kitty

IV. LANTE AGRICHE - DOG

Similar dog to Dion, but just bigger ngl. As his favourite spouse, you are tasked at looking after him (good luck)

He works all the time, so him being a dog is a blessing in disguise. He expects to be treated like a King

He refuses to go out of his room. Assassins could come to kill him in his vulnerable state, or worse, his own children

Barks almost constantly, when he wants something from the servants and they're just there like ??? because they can't understand dog (he kills them after)

Refuses to be at your feet. He needs a pedestal so he can feel superior to you even as a dog

Overall 4/10

V. SYLVIA PEDELIAN - BUTTERFLY

The most beautiful butterfly ever. Silver-blue wings with yellow accents

She actually spends most of her time with her brother, but he feels bad for you so he told (ordered) her to spend time with you

Actually feels bad and tries to do things to cheer you up, even though she can't really do much since she's a butterfly

Tries to impress you with cool tricks, which just makes her dizzy in the end, but they're amusing

Overall 6/10

VI. CASSIS PEDELIAN - DOG

A chihuahua. Partly because I think he would be small but also because I really like chihuahuas, and I'm not even a dog person

Quite similar to Jeremy in terms of attention. While he's quite independent for a dog, he still likes to lick your face awake and give you nuzzles

Sleeps on your lap or chest with a tiny blanket on top of him. He finds the normal ones too stuffy on his body and needs something light

If you don't pet him once every three hours, he will literally die. He may seem like he doesn't care, but he just sits in your peripheral vision sadly wagging his tail

Can actually jump really high. Jumped from the foot of the bed in the edge to the dead middle of it, and landed on all fours (our little acrobat)

Overall 8/10 very cuddly dog

VII. CHARLOTTE AGRICHE - DOG

Smaller than Cassis, bigger attitude than Lante. A red dog with green eyes and almost spiky fur

She bit someone in the ass for funsies not knowing who she bit because she can't see that far above her (it was Dion)

Likes running around the place until she gets tired, then gets annoyed when you haven't caught up yet

5/10 because she's cute

VIII. GRISELDA AGRICHE - FOX

Brown. Idk man

Very respectful, very mindful, very demure

She's also independent. She doesn't need to be touching you all the time, she's fine with just resting near you

She nudges your thigh with her head if she wants something, but that's about all the contact she makes

She'll notice you being sad that she doesn't want to touch you, so instead, she'll rest on your lap, and you play with her fur (she falls asleep to it)

IX. MARIA AGRICHE - SNAKE

Okay, no

Slithers around everywhere, especially to wherever Sierra is

Since she's s snake, Sierra doesn't mind hanging out with her, despite the fact that she's mildly scared of snakes

Gets lost easily. You have to get Fontaine, Jeremy or Dion to help you find her (they all say no)

Overall that slippery bastard is a 4/10

X. SIERRA AGRICHE - MOUSE

Can and will hide under the cabinet shaking in fear so Maria doesn't find her (she finds her anyways)

Roxana looks after her with you, so she doesn't get herself killed

Will sleep under a pillow, just high enough that she can breathe but not too high that someone will notice she's under there

Overall 6/10 (+1 if she doesn't hide that much)

My favourite book of all time is a short story collection by Miranda July called ‘No One Belongs Here More Than You’. Honestly, Miranda July in general is just 🤌🤌 she and Jeremy Dyson have been the biggest inspirations for me when it comes to writing (probably not fanfic writing lmao but definitely writing as a craft in general).

I also love ‘Everything Under’ & ‘Sisters’ by Daisy Johnson (her short story collection ‘Fen’ is also incredible).

‘Bearmouth’ by Liz Hyder. I don’t read much YA but during lockdown in 2020 I bought it on a whim and absolutely devoured it in a couple of sittings. 4 years later and I still think about that book all the time.

Some other faves: ‘The Woman in Black’ by Susan Hill, The ACD Sherlock stories obv, TWILIGHT IDC THAT THEY’RE TERRIBLY WRITTEN I WILL EAT THEM UP EVERY DAMN TIME, ‘The Cranes That Build the Cranes’ Jeremy Dyson, anything by Chuck Palahniuk if you have a strong stomach. Ok so some background for the way my aus work: i suck at making my own characters, but i can like give traits and personalities to existing characters that dont have much in canon, or just replacing a pre-existing characters personality, so thats what i do time and time again. Then i make random characters for funsies

First au concept and darias place in it: So basically i had made some cliche fnaf au where like none of the kids ever died- ig i wanted some happiness in life. And i then made Daria to go along with them and she was Henry's kid and an older sister to Charlie. They also had another younger brother but he is irrelevant. She is best friends with michael afton, and was also closest to fritz and jeremy (foxy and bonnie) She is like a random oc but does has a lot of my traits bc i found it easier to cope with myself through a character with fake friendships rather than actually think about myself and the people i know.

Traits (physical and personality-wise): She is white and has pale-ish skin, and shes got shoulder-length, curly, brown hair (like 2C); she is white, and she is pretty tall. She has hazel eyes (the green and brown being separate kind of hazel because i have that eye color and i like my eyes 💀). Shes queer, specifically being bisexual and ace-spec, and is a cis girl. She is pretty down-to-earth, and is mostly a realist. One thing that has stayed true throughout her many forms is that she often forms intimate relationships with people quickly but can end up starting fights with the same people quickly. Idk where that came from but thats her.

And now the second au and all that jazz. I know you dont know much at all about cccc but basically there are these characters Heart, Mind and Soul, who are all technically personified parts of the singer's (chonny jash) brain. In this au they are all human and like half related to their original identities. They go by the names Juno, Keene and Atlas, respectively, with the collection of their names just coming from random sources in the songs (juno and atlas) and then i just picked a random name i saw for the last bc i didnt want to pick two similar names (it would have been Apollo if i did). Bc i love music oh so much, they are all basically in a band. I loooove cliche little tropes it just soothes my mind ig, idc how basic it is and its also just easier for me to imagine. Anywho, this brings Max and Lily into the picture, along with another girl i forgot originally bc i forgot that i created her (that being Terra). Terra is the creator of this band, and Max and Lily originally come from their school's regular band.

Max: He is mixed white/southeast asian, and has tan, freckled skin and short black hair. He is around 5'11. He has a pretty chill and kind personality, and can come off either quiet or loud/intense depending on where he is. He often pokes fun at people but never really crosses the line. In their little band he plays most woodwind instruments, mainly the saxophone. He is bisexual and a cis guy.

Lily (full name being Liliana): She is a Latina and is 5'2. She has long, wavy, black hair, tan skin, and dark brown eyes. She is very sweet and is very in-tune with her own and others' emotions, just overall very emotionally intelligent. She can be the life of the party and lively, but is often the first person to realize if someone else is having a bad time, but also wont jeopardize her own mental health in sake of someone else's just to please them. As said before she came from a general concert band before, and plays the trumpet and the flute mainly. She is straight and cis, but doesnt really put too much thought into her identity anyways.

Terra, who i somehow forgot when answering the ask: She is 5'11 as well, and is a Black woman. She has curly hair, which she keeps at around chin length, and it is black with dyed brown highlights. She was originally more reserved than the others, but has opened up to all of the group members and is pretty talkative. As mentioned before, she is the creator of this little band, and plays the drums. She is a trans girl.

Ok so yeah those are them. I kinda just picked a few categories (that being how they look and basic identity things, some personality stuff, and any sexual or gender orientations) to talk about for each and i hope i stuck to that setup well enough. The other three from the second one are like technically not ocs but i like hijacked their actual personalities and gave them new ones but i did not talk about them bc i do not need to ramble THAT much.

His head spun as you shifted closer to him, all your words going in one ear and out the other. He shifted comfortably? Uncomfortably? In the chair next to you as you leaned close to him, your eyes glued on the paper under his hand.

His pencil shook a little as he did another question with you supervising him.

You pointed at the paper. "You forgot to change the negative sign."

"Oh- uh, yeah." He felt stupid, quickly erasing his writing and redoing it. You watched him try to subtract some big numbers, and he scratched his head as he did so.

"Uh, that looks off. Can you try again?"

"Oh, oops, yeah okay." He tried again, scribbling out his previous answer a little too harshly.

And after all the working, you both compared his answer with the answer sheet, only to be met with two conflicting numbers.

He held his head in his hands and leaned back, letting out a groan. "I'm sorry, toots."

"For what ?" You shook your head and gave him a smile. "You're trying, that's what matters."

Although he seemed to relax a little upon hearing your words, his eyebrows were still furrowed in frustration. "Man I just- I think I ain't cut out for this. I'm more of a -" he made fists and punched the air, "- bam bam, kinda guy, y'know ?" He shook his head and shrugged. "These numbers jus' ain't for someone like me."

"Jeremy." You put your hand on his, and you noticed the way he stiffened as you looked up at him. "I know you. You aren't one to just give up like that." You moved your hand to squeeze his. "I know you're frustrated, but you told me you're not taking this class just for fun."

His shoulders slumped as he looked down to the floor, avoiding looking at the papers in front of you. "Yeah, yeah, 's just.." He sighed. "I dunno, I prolly look real stupid right now. I mean, look at us, you'se over here pourin' ya sweet little heart out to help me, and I ain't even listenin'." He gestured wildly with his hands, looking anywhere but at you. "Like, well- cause-"

You placed a gentle finger over his lips, shushing him without words. He turned to you quickly, staring like a deer in headlights. "You don't look stupid."

"I- huh?"

"Math isn't something people just get right away. We all make mistakes when we're learning." You leaned a little closer to him. "I want you to be patient with yourself and understand that you'll get more comfortable with practice." You gave him a smile. "So don't give up, okay?"

The tension in his face and body seemed to subside, and the corners of his lips curled into a small smile as he leaned forward to press them against your own. He lingered for a few seconds before pulling away, leaving the sugary taste of what you assumed to be some soft drink on your lips. "I dunno what I did to deserve someone as sweet as you, Y/N."

You nudged his shoulder playfully. "Come on, quit talking like you didn't do nothin' for me either."

He pulled you into a hug, and you could hear his heart beating quickly. "Say, uh, maybe if I had somethin' to motivate me, I think then I'd do better. Whaddaya say?"

You hummed in thought. "Motivation like what? Wanna buy a pizza after this or something?"

"Well, no-" he hesitated for a moment, "actually wait yeah a pizza does sound like a good idea- but that ain't what I was gonna say." He grabbed you by the shoulders and pulled you away from him so he could look you in the eyes. "Maybe, if it's alright with ya, could you uhm- well-" his face was heating up, "- cause- baby, you know I miss ya, we don't spend much time together lately cause you've been so busy, so, I wanted to-" he dragged a hand over his face, "- fuck it, I'll just say it. I wanna make out with ya, toots."

A sheepish grin made its way onto your face, before you started chuckling to yourself. "That's it?"

"Huh?"

"You stumbled over your words so much just to say you wanted to make out?"

"Shut up!" He spoke the next words loudly, his cheeks pink. "Yeah, let's make out! I wanna hold'ya close and kiss ya on your cute little lips till neither of us can breathe!" His gaze returned to meet yours. "There, that make you happy?"

Your face matched the shade of his as you hid your face in his chest. "Yeah, I'd love that. Once we get through these questions, let's do that."

He pouted. "Awh, why not now? We've been at it for how long? Thirty minutes? How much longer did ya wanna go?"

"Well-" you had to practice self control. As much as you wanted to kiss him right then and there, you both admittedly didn't make much progress. "Once we get 5 more questions down, let's make out."

And all of a sudden he was back to his usual cocky self, even though he barely just got through two questions earlier. "Five? Pfft, that ain't nothin'! I'mma blow through those questions so fast, your lips won't even know what hit 'em!"

Hell's Greatest Dad: I didn't like this song that much when I first heard it in the episode because GOD the transition into it was so horrible and the song is really all over the place, but now that I've seen it out of context I love it so much. The bit where Alastor looks Lucifer directly in the eye while saying dad is so fucking funny. This whole song is so fucking funny

Loser, Baby: I LOVE HUSKERDUST!!!!!!! This song is so fun and cool and has such an important message and I hate how everybody always misinterprets it and KEITH DAVID AJDJFKDKFMDKJFDN- just so good man. So good.

More Than Anything: AAAAAAAAA THIS SONG IS SO SWEET- like they knew EXACTLY what they were doing when they got JEREMY FUCKING JORDAN to play Lucifer holy fuck. Him and Erika Henningsen's voices blend so well together and just AUGH this song is so beautiful. Just. Augh.

You Didn't Know: Another one I wasn't a huge fan of the first time I saw the episode, again probably because the shit pacing made it so much more difficult to process, but MUSICAL DEBATES GO SO HARD OMFG- I'm not a huge fan of the sudden shift into the Hell Is Forever reprise just because it kinda. Comes out of nowhere. But Henningsen and Shoba Narayan's voices blend together BEAUTIFULLY so Idrc. Lute's part is also really great, love how Adam is just hyping her up in the background like she did for him in Hell is Forever lol

Welcome to Heaven: This song is. Not very good. It's so cheesey and not in a fun way. Like, It Starts With Sorry was My Little Pony cheesey, this song is RADIO cheesey. Idk who Darren Chriss is but everybody keeps saying he should've gotten a better song so I am going to assume they did him dirty. Weird part is, I feel like I would like it better if it was longer? Like if they let it go on for another chorus or something it would feel more like an actual song and less like a weird jingle. Idk-

RAHH it’s so cool to see that other people are rereading kgau too, cuz it’s done nothing but lurk in my mind ever since I first found it a few years back, AND that’s what IVE been doing too and I’m having a blast!!

Any commentary on Danny or his character? Or how you came up with him as Jeremy’s kid? Idc I just love that little dude he’s so cool

I often wonder how many times people have reread. If we go by hit count on ao3, I THINK GS or DS has been hit the most? What's funny is they're older and they've been completed for a hit minute, and they're around 10k hits. LW is ongoing, incomplete, and arguably one of my faster completed fics and it's at 10k too lol. I have Danny Fitzgerald comments I suppose! I am VERY tired so I hope these make some semblance of sense xc

Danny was created because I kind of felt Mike had grown used to his surroundings very well. I liked that about Mike! One of the blanket themes of KGA is of course, Found Family. But...I also wanted to explore a more 'holy shit! living robots' reaction. I also needed someone Mike wouldn't LET the gang bully/be cold to.

While Mike worked on ridding them of that learned fear, in the meantime he focused on hiring people that were chill and wouldn't give him more headaches.

So I needed a teenager I decided. I was very hesitant to make him at all. I'm not a huge fan of OCs when it comes to my own writing. It complicates things, and if I wanted a story of OCs I would make that. (Reading them is more fun ^^)

However, the kga series proved I could make something I liked well enough from scratch. Like I've said before, the content we had for Mike Schmidt's character was, yanno, zilch. He might as well have been an oc for a while, until more games and lore appeared over the years. (Obviously KGA does not follow the 'correct' lore. I'm 100% okay with that.)

I hemed and hawed a lot with just keeping Jeremy alive and making Ghost Strings star him, but a fic I loved reading at the time also had an amazing Jeremy and I didn't feel I could write my 'own' version and do it justice. Jeremy as well, if anything, would have a much darker history with the restaurant. Danny was essentially a blank canvas, while still having a reason for being there. He was a fraidy cat--rightly so--but he was determined and he forced himself constantly out of his comfort zone. (I'm sure GS would have been a much different story if Mangle had been active/in the restaurant.)

So, Jeremy had to go. And then I realized I wanted to work on death and loss and that kind of pain.

Danny obviously joins the restaurant for deeply painful and close to selfish reasons, but he's still someone we root for. He's just a dumb teenager looking for something of his father's, not realizing he's the reason he has so little to remember the man by.

All we are made up of is memories. Ours and others, things we take from important people in our lives.

Danny's theme/lesson in GS was 'Even bad memories have a place in a Good life' after all.

Danny's presence in the story helped me explore that mystery, and grief, and what happens when we try to heal ourselves, or when we rely on others to help us, like Bonnie helped Danny. It became a great parallel for Michael/Max Afton, since we learn in Last Shift, YEARS later in the story, this wasn't the first time Bonnie kept something safe for someone out of sheer love and devotion, like Max's beloved cassettes and music-tastes. This was despite Bonnie and the gang being so deeply hurt by Max's attack on them, but he still held on to the Good alongside the Bad.

And of course, giving Bonnet to Danny seemed...so fucken cute and fun and easy. She needed someone, he needed someone, and they just clicked.

My favorite thing about Danny is that everyone liked him so much more than I expected, even just in his first fic. I pursued Finding Freddy with the best intentions, and as hard as that fic was for me, I do not regret making it a Danny!centric fic. It also helps that when he shows up in Lies Within he's clearly done lots of growing, but he's still very mortal and he's very able to die. He still tries to help the restaurant, choosing to embrace the mantle of Day Guard that his father held in the Toys' era. That continued loyalty to Mike ends up being a pretty powerful weapon against the Virus.

Also something I need to explore more is Max is such a puffy little trash cat over Mike when Danny comes onto the scene, although he does lower his hackles within a few months, (and by the time of Lies Within) he's guarded and cautious around Danny. However once Max decides Danny belongs with them, that's it and Max considers him family as much as he's attached to Mike.

One thing I hadn't expected was liking the broship between Ness and Danny that's cropping up in LW. I absolutely want to mull that over more! Vanessa obviously has different...ties and hangups... to Bonnie models, but they really are interesting foils for each other. Esp considering Danny's choices in his older stories and her choices now, including the ones she might still have to make ;)

Idc whether that be how to fits in publicly (if even possibly lol), relationships he builds, his mentality, or just important events you planned for him after the scooping! Idc if it's even an AU you have, I just love how you write Michael and would love to hear more of anything! :)

Okay so, something important to note here is that even if I choose to ignore all of Dittophobia, my au still does have Sister Location occurring after FNAF 1 - Specifically late December, so like. A month after fnaf 1. It ALSO coincides with the fnaf 3 minigames that lead up to William's death. That's a longass discussion all in itself tho so I'll probably make a follow up post on that if requested

But! Post-Scoop Mike! During the time period of Ennard inhabiting his body he was essentially unconscious for the entire ordeal. Like. Yknow how majority of the ghosts are kinda lacking some level of awareness while in the suits? Yeah. Michael doesn't really remember it, but he still remembers the time passing, so it's not just. Like. Dying on the scooping room floor, then BAM! Alive on the sidewalk. It's sorta like. Yknow those movie/show/game cutscenes where everything's vague and blurry and slow-motion and the audio is funky. Like that

When he DID get his body back, for a few minutes it was sorta like. He was back to full awareness. Noticed he could see things, and that his limbs felt heavy, and that he could hear a mix of ringing and the "You won't die" line and flies buzzing around him. The sunlight felt too bright. You know when you take one of those naps that severely fucks you up, and because of that you wake up half-numb, dizzy, and disoriented? Now imagine that but a million times worse. He's in pain everywhere, his senses are readjusting, he knows he shouldn't be able to see or hear or speak but he can do those things anyway. And he can tell that despite it being a bright, sunny day, no one's coming to his aid. So he forces himself up and painfully stumbles home.

Now, well my timeline of events between SL and 3 is a bit vague, I do have the important stuff down. He gets home, and despite not having been allowed to contact his mom since late '86 (this is important and relevant guys i prommy) and having been told she was dead, he called her anyway. Long story short, one phone call later and also lots of general, messy emotional stuff, Michael. Left the state of Utah as a whole and went and lived with his mom over in California. Because of the whole being dead thing, he did kinda unfortunately sever ties with Jeremy and Henry (aka the only two living people left he even spoke to, besides William but he's a week dead by now), but like. He wasn't really sure how he could approach those situations. A guy who's lost a bunch of cognitive and motor abilities, and a man who fell into a deep depression after his daughter's death. Michael kinda saw telling them as like. I dont really have the word for it, but he saw abandonment as the better option. Figured it'd hurt them less

When it came to fitting into public, it was essentially the same as how he blends in during fnaf 6, just with MUCH darker clothes. He likely did hide away for a while, refusing to go outside, but started slowly readjusting. He didn’t make any bonds while there (unless his mom’s adoptive parents count), mostly keeping to himself. He worked, but it was always nightshift jobs where no one else would be around.

Luckily, his hygiene has gotten MUCH better! Due to being a rotten corpse, he tends to start smelling bad and being a general safety hazard rather quickly, so typically he’ll do a thorough shower in the morning, and then another quick shower at night, just to be safe. And also he wears perfume, to avoid a smell building up. Just to be safe.

About 10 years (ish. I picked a general number so I didn’t have to pinpoint exact timing) into his 30 year disappearance, his mom does unfortunately pass. Lung cancer, turns out smoking a shit ton out of grief is a bad idea. Better than the murders, probably. It was very much so a rough time for Mike, given being in and out of a hospital (bad memories from Evan’s death and Jeremy’s near-death kept him in a constant state of anxiety during this time, not to mention those events already made him plenty anxious, paranoid, and overall jumpy when in hospitals) and then the eventual death. That’s when his goal to hunt down his dad kinda went into full swing. Because, well, that last sorta tether just snapped, so now he’s far more goal oriented.

It was probably full of him following small leads. Contacting some distant relatives of his, contacting his father’s old business partners - he kinda tried to procrastinate going back to Utah (specifically Hurricane) for as long as possible. But then news about Fazbear Frights came around, and the return kiiiinda became inevitable. Because unfortunately, it was a damn good lead. Also, once again, Michael remains friendless in this time. Outside of any possible employers or the people he contacted, he hasn’t actually properly, freely spoken to anyone since his mom or grandparents. And he kinda cut ties with his grandparents out of guilt after his mom passed.

And Fazbear Frights is. Interesting! Because as he’s used to, he has to go in to meet his employer! But what he’s not used to is seeing his estranged kinda-cousin-kinda-brother whom he hasn’t seen since they were, like, 14. Aka Sammy. It’s an incredibly awkward experience all around, despite them both having somewhat similar goals. They agree to pretend not to know each other.

Work goes, well, as it pretty much does in game. Nothing special. Probably some panic and resurfacing trauma on night 2. Anyways the fire! That’s the important part!

As one would expect, Michael was quick to get out of the fire. Wasn’t exactly hard to set it - the place is old and dirty and fucking *moldy* - he just tossed a half-smoked cigarette at some loose oil or something and the bitch was ablaze.

William (slash springtrap but im just saying william for simplicity’s sake) caught him in one of the hallways. And had the fucking *audacity* to try and plead with Michael to help him out of the building. And the kicker is that if it weren’t for survival instincts kicking in and causing Michael to topple William over and crush Will’s arm with an arcade machine to keep him down long enough for a quick escape, it would’ve worked. Michael is. Uh. Very emotionally and mentally vulnerable.

A couple years pass after that, before a new Freddy’s place opens, needing someone to run it. Michael does have experience business-wise thanks to watching and learning from his dad as a kid, so it couldn’t be *that* hard, right? He applied under a fake name, got himself all disguised and whatnot, and headed in!

It did take a few minutes for the recognition to actually happen. But. Yeah it was a lil awkward. Considering Michael’s very silent and very sudden exit 32 years ago. Oh yeah also i have fnaf 6 taking place over more than just a week, stretches out from about 2025-2026. No specifics, just a general span of time. Feels more realistic to me, idk. I get the 1 week thing for gameplay/continuity reasons, but hey! This is just an au! I can do whatever shit I please!
