mountain & copia !

Name: virgo

Gender: afab, nb she/they/doesn't care

General appearance: mid-height, probably somewhere close or at six foot tall, perhaps give some inches? (i could go up to six foot five) light brunette long hair, smaller horns than mountain - lithe but strong bodied, not very shapely but also has somewhat of a hipline. skin tone matches mountains, & they have one eye matching mountain's & one eye the colour of copia's good eye (glassy blue/green) probably has sharper jaw/longer nose like copia. little fangs. large hands, wide digging claws. soft, sometimes blank or vacant appearance.

Personality: they take after mountain, with copia's with sprinkled in. a bit dry & sparse, but there nonetheless. they have a hard time relating (due to both their parent's genetics). they're quiet, observant and calm most of the time. copia & mountain both have anxiety i would say, but vigo has more than mountain & less than copia. easily unsettled, scared of fire. they hide things. whether in the dirt, or the wall, or anywhere.

Special talents: virgo, lives up to the namesake, in the sense that the ground they walk/touch on becomes fertile. the ministry could harvest their own crops and feed their own and virgo could bring them bounties unlike the luckiest farmer could imagine. they dig well, due to their claws.

Who they like better: mountain i think, because mountain makes sense. they love copia, & they love to spend time with him. but he can be a bit overwhelming, and agitate their anxiety. i think they bond on their ghoul level with mountain, but they also very much appreciate copia's humanity and his ability to be so loving.

Who they take after more: mountain, looks and personality.

Personal headcanon: copia insisted they do a ritual to have mountain's genes just as much a part of the surrogate process if this were ever to happen?? i think mountain may have had pause but copia was insistent.

omega & ifrit

Name: Hamal, or Arietis Ghoul (hamal = brightest star in Aries, as omega is named for the brightest star in pegasus. quintessence style name with fire sprinkled in)

Gender: male

General appearance: i think generally quintessence genes are stronger. i think he ended up a bit more humanoid, with a more human-esque face than omega. same deep black coloured skin like omega, with glowing white eyes. but he has if's hair & ram horns, which are also white like omega's horns. he has like, more body hair too to make up for omega's fur. he's very conventionally attractive, fit and scaled to a more typical size (also more like ifrit in that way)

Personality: oh he's ifrit's kid 100% - dumb of ass, pure of heart, well meaning fuckboy. but he's more naturally .. like, he's got a more uppity way about carrying himself from omega & his quintessence. he's also cocky/confident, which isn't infallible by any means but i think he likes to think it is. he's super good at everything he does naturally and he pranks people all the time.. he gets lots of ire from omegs for being a little shit but he makes up for it in like, sheer... basically being fucking gifted.

Special talents: hamal could be a multi-ghoul. can do lead or rhythm work on the guitar, can probably sing. would be a shoe-in for the band. he's also a master of his fire element. he can conjure fire, control it - amongst other things. he also prolly quintessence magic but i don't have a lot of hc's about that, yet.

Who they like better: ifrit, i think he has more fun with iffers & they relate better but also he does really like omega. omega is just more of a 'parent' so !! also having a quintessence as a dad? sheesh.

Who they take after more: mmmmm both. pretentious know-it-all mixed with what ifrit got goin' on. this kid needs to never be born.

Personal headcanon: omega and hamal have a soul bond (telekinetic/empathic)

rain & swiss

Name: hailey or hail ghoul (maybe noelle?) (multi precipitation, i couldn't think of a better name)

Gender: female

General appearance: longer, black hair. slim & sharp features, with big round eyes and horns like swiss. her tail is spaded, but she has inherited any of the little water features rain has. her skin-tone is kinda sickly grey, almost like it was trying to look like swiss's skin. otherwise you would never tell she's multi-element. in fact swiss is starting to believe she's all water. lithe bodied, probably on the taller side.

Personality: she's like rain. 100%, like she's basically his mini me. she gets frustrated that she's not more confident, like swiss. probably like cynical as fuck. she can't master either element, also like rain she's very alienated from water. she has an angry/moody streak like rain. second guesses herself, but is always carrying herself like she doesn't give a shit. but it more comes off as reserved shy. she's less vain than rain is though, thanks to swiss. she got his jealousy.

Special talents: she can play the bass like dad, and guitar like swiss. also probably can sing, but not conventionally well. i feel like it's a bit high. but she has no elemental control, over either element.

Who they like better: swiss because he's more of a friend and he's good at cheering her up, and !! idk swiss is i think not a natural parent.. he's definitely bad at disciplining/following through. rain has to be the bad guy.

Personal headcanon: she's close with copia, copia also helps her feel better about her predicament & helps her feel useful.

Thank you to @reylocalligraphy for the tag. It’s honestly an honour to answer these questions :)

1. When did you start shipping Reylo / what moment made you start shipping Reylo?

Ironically, it was a tumblr post on Treezie’s ‘fic’ bashing on the ship. I wasn’t even into SW and thought it was pretty lame (which is weird cuz I’m a huge nerd) so I thought the post was pretty funny at the time. I checked out the tag on Tumblr and stumbled upon a @gwendy85 art piece and absolutely fell in love with the beauty. It lead me to read a couple of fics, despite knowing no context of Star Wars, and suddenly I was inspired to watch all 7 movies in late 2016. After that, especially TFA, it’s safe to say I’m Star wars and Reylo trash. 

2. Who talks to the other first in episode IX - Rey or Kylo?

Gosh, I wish I knew. I have a feeling it’ll be Rey but at the same time she’s mighty pissed at him and herself rn and already had major trust issues so...  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

3. What are some of your favorite Reylo fics you’ve read?

Too many to list, haha, but here goes:

I will always, always love and never not talk about @omegaling‘s Allez Cuisine (so underrated it physically angers me), Like_A_Dove’s we could plant a house, we could build a tree, and honestly anything by @waterlilyrose (especially Respite bc it is, honest to god, the best modern characterisation of Rey and Kylo ever!) on her Ao3 here.

Capture the Flag Can be Sexy (and other lessons) by @hyenahunny is brilliant and  Touched by @reylorobyn2011 is so fluffy and adorable and a reylo dance fic is just too lovely. 

Also, Engines Can Be Rose by bunnystealsyourcarrots is so great and lovely and lowkey inspired my own  Of Particular Salience so that’s also a faveee.

There’s so much more that I hold dear to my heart, but this last one is extra special since it refers to Q1. 

gallifrey_skies Better Lucky - the fic that got me into Reylo. Thank you and bless your soul. Literally the first bookmark on my Ao3, despite joining in 2015. It’s so good and wonderful an, uhhh, a horse Reylo au?

They’re thirsty af VIRGINS.

It’s probably Leia. I just think she’s a really strong female character and that’s honestly my  a e s e t h e t i c. She’s such a badass with a good heart. I adore her :)

6. Do you think any force ghosts will appear in episode IX? If so, who?

I think Luke will definitely appear to Kylo and maybe even Rey. But I feel like, besides Kylo himself, Luke’s ghost might be a big turning point in Ben Solo’s redemption arc. Bc Luke should also have a chance to redeem himself just as much as Kylo. 

7. What do you do besides obsessing over Reylo/SW?

Obsess over Gendrya/ASoIaF, procrastinate by watching a gazillion tv shows and try to study.

 Try being the key word there, lol. 

8. In your opinion, the most underrated moment or scene in The Last Jedi is…?

Not a scene, but Luke’s character development was severely underrated. I just ... don’t understand ... how people can say he was ruined? Like, they made a character more complex after 30 years?

Gee, it’s almost like people don’t change over time? And it’s almost like people involved in war don’t have paranoia after years of fighting? 

But each to their own, I guess. 

9. If you had a lightsaber, what color would it be?

Black, like my soul.

That or organge. Bc if you’re a ginger, why not just go all out? :P

10. What do you think Kylo and Rey’s first meeting in episode IX will be like? How far into the movie do you think they will interact?

God, I imagine it’ll be pretty tense. I hope we get a ‘Why did you leave?’ from the both of them but, idk, I feel like their first meeting in IX will involve a lot of conflict from the two. 

As for how far I’d like to think it’d happen pretty quickly -- at least before half-way, I think, if they’re to establish or elude to a relationship between the two. 

We’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we?

This has been a rad year. 

I learned how to use the word rad. 

This month, I hit 3,000 followers ^0^!! Thank you everyone!!!

Ah we’ve all had those nights. It was all going so great and then the music became overwhelming and tinny, the idea of more to drink was appalling and all the fun drained away. Yup, that’s a night out with your man gone bad.

I’ve had many of these and not because I’m a terrible person, or the men I’ve been out with are terrible people, but because it’s not all men can deal with me when I’m out on the town. It takes a special, secure kind of boy, because I am that most worrying of all things to men – very sociable.

I love to meet new people and talk with them about what’s happening in their lives. A man out with me can pop off to the bar or the toilet and come back to find I’ve made a whole bunch of new friends and he’s faced with joining in or stropping off. Sad to say, I’ve had many strop off situations, but on the bright side, I’ve also been fortunate enough to meet a couple of guys in my lifetime who aren’t fazed by it once they know me a little.

It’s hard to go through a ‘bad night out’ when you just want to have fun with the one you’re with – and a few buddies you meet along the way, but now I’m a little older, I do try harder to be more considerate. Well, I try a tiny bit harder… Well, no, in truth I have no idea how to stop it. But Thom is practically bomb-proof now and he is my most favourite companion for nights out, so it’s not a problem any more.

Vinyl’s new mainstore release – the Yasunori Date Night Dress can be found in 16 different colors and is HUD operated. Lots of customization available, for example, it comes with a built-in bustier (which I removed for my pics) but it’s gorgeous and you can choose to have that a contrasting colour to the dress, if you so wish. It’s a lovely fit and I love how the colours available come in shiny or extra shiny. I went extra shiny to show how optimistic I was about a good night out, before it all went wrong!

The RealEvil Aletta Photo Necklace is adorable and is at Cosmpolitan. As you have no doubt come to expect from *RE*, they always give a great choice of metal textures and colours in their HUD and this time you can put a photograph of your choice into the locket area. I’ve not had a locket in SL since it was a right faff to put one there, so the simple process of getting your chosen image’s UUID and simply putting that in the box provided and it appearing there was a revelation and a joy. I put a wee pic of my Thom in there from c. 2009. Aww.

The much anticipated February Powder Pack has been released and for those of you who were too cautious to cough up 1500l$ in advance, this is still your chance to benefit from a bargain. For a mere 3k, you can get the whole pack which contains a ton of stuff – like… various skins with body appliers, make ups, lashes, eye appliers for Catwa head. Amazeballs. Let me give you some detail on today’s showing…

I’m wearing the Essences Aria Skin – 2 colours available – medium and pale, including Catwa Head appliers plus body appliers for Belleza, Maitreya and The Mesh Project – and Omega! Adored Catwa Applier – also Omega. Choose which side, plus have crying mascara and ‘Lovesick’ tattoo over the eyebrow in white or black. Bold & Beauty – 5 colours of eyes applier, to be applied to Catwa Eyes that come with the head. Plus, 5 types of lashes on a separate HUD which are gorgeous. I particularly love how you can choose between sleek and false looking and the slightly rumpled naturalised look of the ones I put on, they look like real lashes to me. Pink Fuel – 6 unusual shades of lipstick, some full colour and some mixed (shown) with a top layer of gloss for Bento heads.

I’ll have more to show you tomorrow and I’m so excited about that :)
