Figure I'll announce it here too. I've been working on my first kickstarter project called The Howling Howff. It's a tongue in cheek werewolf support booklet for the new werewolf (you), written by born werewolves who may or may not quite have a clue how drastically your life has just changed. It's currently around 44-46 pages long and there are bookmarks, stickers, posters and art cards that I'm finishing up the designs of this week. The kickstarter will most likely be up around the 3rd-5th of June so keep an eye out if it's something you're interested in :) I'll be posting the link once its up!

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this! I've tried to be as to the point as possible.
I got a good response last time I posted, and I would love to collect some more partners since some cravings have been filled and others have popped up in their stead.
Right now, Star Wars and Marvel are where my head's at, but please note I play original settings and characters and love those just as much!
Email: [email protected] Discord: HOWFF#0069
PERSONAL PREFERENCES
I’m over eighteen, and would prefer my partners are, too. This doesn’t mean I’m interested in smut-centric or NSFW-heavy plots. It just means I’m more comfortable writing and interacting with other adults.
I consider myself to be lit-adv. I tend to enjoy partners in the lit+ category, but as long as you’re an enthusiastic and engaging partner, I don’t care about perfect grammar. I would rather write with someone just as involved and excited as I am, than I would with someone who isn't very original but knows exactly what to do with obscure punctuation.
I’m not interested in playing only one type of character, like only men (against only women). I don’t have any issue with playing these kinds of characters, and I really enjoy them! I just don’t enjoy writing with people who are only interested in playing one type of relationship dynamic. Basically, I’m not looking for only straight women or only subs or only omegas or only prisoners, etc. Let me play more than the counterpart to that!
OOC chatter is really important to me. I’m fine with threading in Discord, or over email, or in a GDoc, but I can’t write with someone that I don’t feel like I can get to know, and Discord is the best place concerning that for me. I’m looking for friends, not a faceless reply robot.
If you're looking for a partner that writes a reply a day without fail, that's not me. I prefer that we don't have "posting schedules” or set posting times, because I find that it turns writing into a chore. It's great if you reply immediately, and it's totally okay if you need a week to figure something out!
PLOT PREFERENCES
I’m interested in both fandom and original settings, and I’m down for playing both canon characters and OCs. I don’t necessarily prefer one or the other.
While I don't require canon doubling from my partners in fandom plots, I mesh better with people who do a little give-and-take when it comes to that. If you only play one canon character or only play OCs against canons, I don’t think we’ll work.
I can play as many characters as needed, whether it's just one or it's six. Whatever our story calls for, I can manage that. However, I don’t enjoy doubling for the sake of it. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with sticking to a main pairing and then using rotating side characters in and out.
Multiple threads and plots at the same time are no issue for me. In fact, I love the idea that we click so well that we just can't stop coming up with good ideas! So definitely don't be afraid to pitch something new to me, whether it's because you want to switch gears (and drop a thread for another) or want to do everything at once.
Romance is a must for me! I prefer slow and agonizing journeys to get there, but my attention is best held by romantic chemistry between characters.
I can provide writing samples upon request, though I never require them from my partner. Additionally, I have some plots written out if you're interested in that sort of thing. Otherwise, we can brainstorm together!
FANDOMS
I’m very much a fandom player. I’m always down for AUs, or inserting our own characters into the plots of fandoms! This is in no way a complete list; never be afraid to ask if I’m into something! I’ve probably forgotten a hundred things I love.
Most of my fandoms will have favorite canon characters listed with them, both who I like playing and playing against; you’re always welcome to ask about others not listed.* There’s a good chance I’m pretty good with them!
*I will play OCs in every fandom, but I might not play canons in every fandom.
ALWAYS
The Bartimaeus Trilogy (Nathaniel, Kitty Jones, and Bartimaeus), DC (Garfield Logan, Victor Stone, Jinx, Arthur Curry, Steve Trevor, Circe, and Diana Prince), Dragon Age (Fenris, Cullen Rutherford, Iron Bull, and Dorian Pavus), Elder Scrolls (player canons and/or OCs preferred, but feel free to ask about canons), Fallout: New Vegas and 4 (Arcade Gannon, Paladin Danse, R.J. MacCready, Arthur Maxon, Veronica Santangelo, Cait, Rose of Sharon Cassidy, and player canons), Game of Thrones (Sansa Stark, Robb Stark, Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Ramsay Bolton, and Willas Tyrell), His Dark Materials (OCs preferred), Inception (Arthur, and Eames), Marvel (Peter Parker, Scott Lang, Bucky Barnes, Kitty Pryde, and Megan Gwynn), Miraculous Ladybug (Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste), The Mortal Instruments (Simon Lewis, Raphael Santiago, Magnus Bane, and Alec Lightwood), Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Percy Jackson, Nico di Angelo, Annabeth Chase, Will Solace, Piper McLean, and Leo Valdez), Star Trek (Jim Kirk, Leonard McCoy, S'chn T'gai Spock, and Pavel Chekov), Star Wars (Obi Wan Kenobi, Jacen Solo, Jaina Solo, Jagged Fel, Mara Jade Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, Sintas Vel, and Ahsoka Tano), The Walking Dead (Glenn Rhee and Negan), Warriors (Firestar, Squirrelflight, Jayfeather, and Hawkfrost)
SOMETIMES
Boku no Hero Academia (Bakugo Katsuki, Midoriya Izuku, Shinsou Hitoshi, Kaminari Denki, Ojiro Mashirao, Kirishima Eijiro, Todoroki Shoto, and Uraraka Ochaco), Bungou Stray Dogs (OCs preferred, but feel free to ask about canons), Digimon (OCs preferred), Final Fantasy VII (Cloud Strife, Zack Fair, Reno, and Sephiroth), Harry Potter (Narcissa Malfoy, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, James Potter, Regulus Black, Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger, and Luna Lovegood; play my favorite ship with me, and I'll do whatever you want, literally.), Mystic Messenger (Choi Saeyoung, Han Jumin, Kang Jaehee, and Choi Saeran), Naruto (Hatake Kakashi, Umino Iruka, Gaara, Hyuuga Hinata, and Uchiha Sasuke), Ouran High School Host Club (Ootori Kyouya, Hitachiin Hikaru, and Hitachiin Kaoru), Pokémon (Red, Blue, N, Guzma, and player canons)
NOT SURE, BUT WILLING TO EXPLORE
Avatar: the Last Airbender (particularly Zutara), Court of the Dead, Eragon, Hazbin Hotel, Howl's Moving Castle, Kiznaiver, The Legend of Zelda, Mass Effect, Soul Eater, Steven Universe, Tokyo Ghoul, Twilight, Yuri!!! on Ice
GENRES
For the most part, I’ll genuinely play most any genre! Of course, everyone says that, but then they shoot down all your suggestions because everyone has stuff they don’t like doing. I’ll try to make this as brief as I can, and know that if something isn’t listed, but you’re pretty sure (based on everything else) that I’m into it, then definitely let me know what you’re thinking!
SETTINGS
A/B/O (I will not play only alphas for only omegas, nor will I play overly trope-y, boys love plots.), Age of Sail, celebrity, fairytales and mythology (including retellings), fantasy (including medieval, urban, and high fantasy), alt-history and modern royalty, mutants/gifted, organized crime, science fiction (especially including aliens), some historical (excluding medieval, colonial, and the Roaring Twenties/Great Depression), soulmates (excluding healthy, established relationships from the outset), supernatural, Victorian (especially the London ton), post-apocalyptic
PAIRING DYNAMICS
arranged marriage (I’m always down for slinging our characters together, whether or not they want to. It’s always a bonus if their families hate each other.), enemies to lovers (I love conflict of any sort, especially romantic!), human x not-human (The not-human must be sentient.), criminal x law enforcer, celebrity x bodyguard (I’m okay with the celebrity being the son/daughter/offspring of someone famous!), rivals of any sort, unwilling traveling companions
If any of this interests you, please feel free to reach out to me however! I'm really looking forward to hearing from you!

Old Friends - a short story in seven parts, by Brian Bourner - Part 2, the painting
I walked Findlay back towards his flat. He had only just pushed in the key to open the stair door when a burly young man appeared out of nowhere, wearing a light blue rain-jacket over a dark suit and sporting a buzz-cut.
Seeing him out of the corner of his eye Findlay muttered “Christ, not him again.”
“Ye got it, then?” the muscular young man asked in an aggressive tone, ignoring me completely. I looked on in some confusion.
“So, what, you’re hiding round corners now waiting to catch me, eh? Listen, away an bile yer heid, ya numpty.”
“Oh it’s gonnae be like that is it Mr MacKay? A bit of aggravation? Look, we’ve been acquainted for a wee while now huv we no, long enough for first names, eh Findlay? You can call me Dylan by the way. So how about we get this done in a civilised fashion? You know how it is. Business. I didnae come round here just to get insulted.”
“No? Where do you usually go?”
“Trying to be the big man in front o yer pal eh? Look, dinnae be a dick-heid Findlay. Jist hand ower the necessary, fast as you like, an Ah’ll be on ma wey.”
“No can do.”
“How no?”
“Bit of a revenue problem just at the moment. So what d’you think I should do about it?”
“This isnae a wee blether doon the howff, wee man. This is real. Ye’ve had yer last warning. There’s nae wey oot fur ye noo. Whit should ye dae? Dae the wan thing ye kin dae. Ah’ve goat the papers here fur ye tae sign.”
“Excuse me,” I said, as the two faces that had forgotten I was present turned towards me. “I’m not sure what’s going on here, but if it’s a case of signing business documents, should that not be conducted indoors? Can we adjourn to your flat Findlay?
Reluctantly, Findlay led the way up the grimy stairs with their peeling green paint to his third floor flat. Following behind the young stranger I noticed he wore crimson velour trainers, a single earring, and some skull-like kind of tattoo was creeping up the back of his neck.
The front door of Findlay’s flat was badly damaged. In fact it seemed to have been smashed and repaired several times. Short planks held the fractured wood together and Findlay was now required to undo several padlocks to gain entry.
Once inside Findlay’s B.O. reek was magnified many times. The stench was overpowering. Standing in the flat was like being in a junk shop next to a field being sprayed with slurry. It was crammed tight with odd metal items, small filing cabinets, bicycle and motorbike parts. They were piled up everywhere willy-nilly, stacks of mangy old clothes in amongst them. One area seemed to be a cemetery for crumbling dolls’ houses and garages for toy cars. A sofa was rendered almost invisible by planks of wood and rolls of wire fencing piled on top of it. High stacks of browning newspapers and magazines, some in severe danger of toppling over, stood festering in every corner.
Shocked, I asked “What’s all this stuff for?”
“Well, you never know,” Findlay replied enigmatically, and proceeded to lift parts of an old car engine from an old dark varnished table, dumping them on the minimal corridor of floorspace that still remained between the piles of junk. He retrieved a stack of four tubular chairs hidden beneath a roll of carpet and several heavy cardboard boxes and squeezed three of them in round the table. We fitted ourselves into them, Dylan staring disgustedly at the scarred and oily table top.
“Ok,” said the young man, his nose wrinkling up at the foul stench. “Yer hoose is mingin. It’s fuckin reekin. Ah’m fucked if Ah’m hingin aboot here very lang. Ye’re ready noo, are ye?”
He pulled a couple of sheets of closely typed paper from the inside pocket of his suit and a biro from an outside pocket.
“Sooner you sign, sooner Ah’m offski.”
“What is this document?” I asked in all innocence.
The young man’s eyes directed me to Findlay.
Eventually Findlay mumbled “It’s a legal transfer; ownership of the flat.”
“You mean you want to sell up?” I asked in surprise.
“It’s already sold,” the young man interjected angrily. “Money borrowed and not returned. Property as security.”
“You’re not from the bank, are you?” I asked, and received an old-fashioned look for my trouble.
“Because, the thing is,” I continued, “Findlay doesn’t own this flat outright. It’s jointly owned with his two brothers and his sister.”
Findlay’s eyes shot daggers at me. His peely-wally face stared aghast, the pulse at his temple bouncing up and down like a man facing a firing squad.
The young man stared at Findlay menacingly.
“That right, Findlay?”
Findlay’s lips quivered but he said nothing.
The young man shoved the pen and papers back in his pocket and rose from the dusty tubular chair, shoving it backwards till it fell with a crash into the screen of an ancient television set. He strode hurriedly to the front door, kicking old car engine parts, knocking over a stack of pre-used contiplas boards, and causing piles of old magazines to topple.
As he opened the front door he turned and shouted “The Man’s’s no gonnae be best pleased wi this Findlay.”
“What can I do, though,” Findlay pleaded.
“Should a thought o that afore. As Ah said, pal, Ah didnae come tae chew the fat. Ye’ve no been hearin me. This is real. Yer fucked. Yer oot the windae. There’s nae wey oot fur ye noo. The Man’s definitely no keen on folk tryin tae take the piss. Ye’ll be daein the wan thing ye still can dae.”
“What? What’s that?” Findlay asked desperately.
“Ye’ll have tae be settin an example tae his ither clients.”
Having slowly caught up with the implications of this conversation I asked nervously, “Is that some kind of threat?”
But the young man slammed the front door behind him, the locks rattling but the door failing to close properly. I heard his evil laughter echo as he stamped his way down the staircase.
I turned to Findlay, now sitting with his head in his hands and visibly trembling.
“Was he threatening violence do you think?”
Findlay looked up, his eyes full of terror.
“Why the fuck did you have to say that aboot the hoose?”
We sat in a pregnant silence for some minutes more before Findlay asked “Have you got any money Paul? Maybe enough for a flight to somewhere really obscure, somewhere they’ll never find me?”
“It can’t be as bad as that surely.”
“Aye, it can. Beaten senseless. Nailed tae the floor. Fingers cut aff. Even worse than that maybe.”
“Good God Findlay. If that’s how you feel, best look out your passport now.”
“Christ,” Findlay responded despairingly. “How do you think I’d have a passport? Any idea how much that costs?”
“Then you can’t leave the country.”
I suddenly realized I was caught up in a social world of which I had little experience. I felt it was probably time to call in professionals.
“Findlay, I think you should call the police.”
“Are you mental? Stoneybank’s the Man. Christ, around here he might as well be the polis. They’ll no touch him unless there’s a smoking gun in his hand and a dead body at his feet. And with boys like Dylan at his beck and call that’s never going to happen.
Then the intense pressure he’d been under suddenly caught up with him and it was Findlay’s turn to laugh, a demented laugh that verged on howling.
I thought about saying ‘Sorry for your difficulties’ and leaving as quickly, quietly, and as discreetly as possible. But something caught my eye. In the middle of the room I could make out an old scarred refrigerator lying on its front on the floor. It was piled high with lengths of plastic piping on top of which a fat cylindrical object wrapped in old newspaper was balanced. And on top of the cylinder lay a framed picture, about two feet by one and a half, its glass cracked. But there was something familiar about the picture’s style. A couple dancing, the man in a flapping blue suit and the lady in a long floral dress and wide-brimmed hat. It looked French, fin de siècle.
I rose to pick up the picture. In doing so brown newspaper wrappings fell away from the cylindrical item and a new strong smell percolated , mixing with others in the rancid, foetid room. A large orange cheese, decorated with a thick purple cross by marker pen, was revealed.
“What the hell is that,” I asked, stepping back holding my nose.
“What’s it look like? It’s a cheese. A supermarket cheese. Might be a bit past its sell- by. Still perfectly edible.”
I shook my head unable to make any sense of this response.
“And this?” I asked, holding out my hand gripping the picture.
“I dunno. Can’t remember.”
I looked at the picture more closely.
“It’s not a print.”
“Forget the picture,” Findlay almost shouted. “I’m in a bind here. I can’t hang about in case laughing boy comes back with his pals.”
“I tell you what,” I said. Until I can figure out exactly what’s going on, why not come and stay with me in my new place at Corstorphine? These people don’t know me, or where I’m living, and they won’t be looking for you on the west side of town.”
Findlay quickly agreed and so, locking the padlocks on the front door, and with me still with a tight hold on the picture, we rapidly made our way to my car and I drove out via the Ferry Road towards Corstorphine.

The Howling Howff kickstarter is now 2/3 fulfilled :> shipped another 173 orders out today. I have 113 left to send next week and then it's complete! After that I'll be working on a platform to sell copies online for those who missed it. Some wips of the packing below :) and a client found some nice sleeves to put their copy in!
WHERE CAN I GET A COPY? I'm working towards getting an actual website set up for this whole project and future venture, though it won't be halfway decent for a couple of months. I'm at a con for the weekend, then have a few things to finish up so I imagine it'll be around the middle of November before I find an online temp platform to sell copies to bridge the gap. I don't know which one yet but once I do I'll post the links everywhere :)

We're also working on putting it onto coasters which you'll see above (if I've added it correctly) the book is still being edited but I've attached a couple of screenshots of spreads for how it's looking so far :). small decorations, edits and other things are still being added! I'm super excited for this whole project :D although I'll probably sleep for a week once its all printed and shipped.
