So I wanted to draw a lil' something in celebration of The Adventure Zone hitting ten years old this year! Which turned into me drawing a pretty big something featuring (almost) every player character from (almost) every campaign from these past ten years.

So here's to Adventure Zone Balance, Amnesty, Commitment, Dust, Graduation, Hootenanny, Ethersea, Dadlands, Steeplechase, Versus Dracula, and everything that's still to come!

Fun fact when Peter was yeeted into this new world, he had to deal with some odd changes: like green money, different slang and the home button on the bottom for the Starkphones.

In fact Wade would catch him with the phone upside down a few times, which made him wonder...

Happy New Year 2025!

On the stroke of midnight, 31st December 2024, in the wild west Highlands of Scotland, Algy took to the stage to pipe the old year out and the new year in. He was feeling just a wee bit unsteady on his feet, for the great Highland bagpipe is a cumbersome and heavy instrument for a daft fluffy bird, and he had been rehearsing all day – not to mention partying 😀 – but the great Scottish tradition must be observed!

The broad seas do indeed roar between Algy and many of his friends, but he hopes that you will all take a "right gude-willie-waught" with him, for old times' sake – that is, an excellent goodwill drink… 🥂

After two days of partying, the guests at Algy's Hogmanay Hootenanny were getting pretty tired… and so was his assistant!

But Algy decided to post this exceptionally clumsy, daft video clip anyway – at least temporarily – because it was a lot of fun and the party is now coming to a close, so that all his guests, friends and assistants can have a wee rest…

(Be sure to turn up the sound…)

Algy's guests came from countries all around the world, and many brought their own traditions and music with them. One couple would insist on dancing the tango, although by that time they were on the point of collapse, so Algy hopes you will forgive their (and his assistant's) excessive clumsiness and many faults. Okay, okay, I'll play by the rules.

Smash (-ing the competition) + Jake - We're doing all the games and fun things at the fall carnival/festival from the corn maze to the three-legged race and more. He makes the whole day just that more enjoyable and fun as we share silly jokes and egg each other on. We're both worn out by the end of the day, but that's not going to stop us from having a bit more fun when we get home.

Save (the last piece of pie) + Steve - This man has a sweet tooth and with his job as Cap, I'm not going to deny him all the sweets he can handle (myself included when I'm inclined 😉). I'll even make sure we have plenty of whip cream around for pie and other activities.

Slash (myself accidentally) + Ari - That man is a distraction. Just look at him with those open shirts and short shorts. You just know he's doing it on purpose while I'm trying to cook (which I really hate). Comes in looking like a beastly god and oops the knife slips and cuts my finger. Guess he'll have to take care of it and then finish up dinner for us or order food in.

Smooch (all day, everyday) + Curtis - This man hasn't had the easiest life. Softness is not something he's used to, so that's what I'll be giving him as we explore this new world together. Lots of kisses, soft touches, and all the hugs he can stand until he realizes he's worth loving and having some softness in his life.

I really went fluffy with these, but I can't help it. These four just bring it out of me (even if I still need to watch Ari's movie).

Hogmanay is THE major festival in Scotland, and for that reason the Scots are granted an exceptional two days holiday at the New Year, when most of the world is only allowed to rest on New Year's Day, if at all…

That is because the Scots need it…But of course, as a consequence, the residents of Scotland tend to feel a wee bit the worse for wear by January 2nd, and Algy and his party guests were no exception… Only the watchful snowy owl, and Algy's wee friend Twicklewick the rat, were able to stay awake…

Algy had enjoyed a truly fabulous Hogmanay Hootenanny in the great Scottish tradition, thanks to all his wonderful tumblr friends around the world. And to top it all, his very special friend the little green dragon had flown all the way from Patadragonia to attend the party, courtesy of the magic of the wee sprig of cherry blossom, and had brought some of his South American friends to join in the fun (and perform the tango…).

But Algy knew that the little green dragon would vanish again as soon as the party was over, and as he dozed fitfully, in a state of exhaustion, half asleep and half awake, an old, old song, in the rhythm of a waltz, kept drifting through his fluffy brain:
