I was gonna make a meta post about how the characters’ corresponding patron arcana are in the same sprite pose as them but then actually looked and realized that’s only true for Julian lmao so I guess just have these comparisons

The Sun - success, radiance, empathy

The Sun card presents a feeling of optimism and fulfillment. This card represents the dawn which follows the darkest of nights. Because of one's own personal fulfillment, they provide others with inspiration and joy as well.

The Hanged Man - pause, surrender, stalling

The Hanged Man indicates a period of indecision. This means that certain actions or decisions are likely to be postponed even if there is an urgency to act at the moment. In fact, it would be ultimately the best if one is capable of stalling certain actions to ensure that they have more time to reflect on making critical decisions.

The Tower - broken pride, upheaval, disaster

Even if it may strike fear, the tower means that one must abandon the truths that they have known prior to this event. The old ways are no longer useful, and one must find another set of beliefs, values and processes to take their place.

Major Arcana Tarot gifs

After finishing the 12 days of cinemagraph-mas I wanted to do more cinemagraph but was lacking inspiration on what to do.

I eventually decided to try and do a Tarot card. I didn't know which one to do so I decided to do all the Major Arcana.

Then I decided to just do all of them and post them all at the same time.

Thanks to wikipedia for having pictures of all the Rider–Waite set.

Jim Santangeli is making his own line of tarot cards based on the characters of RDR2, cleverly titled "OUTLAWS ORACLE - A Major Arcana Tarot Deck"

Rather than doing separate posts for each update, I will periodically update this post as new cards become available.

I will also be adding in the ALT Text how each character fits into its respective tarot card. These descriptions come from Jim himself.

The Hierophant: Principal Hieronymus Bump

Upright: Institutions, tradition, conventionality, education, conformity, knowledge, spiritual/religious beliefs

Reversed: Rebellion, unconventionality, non-conformity, new methods, personal beliefs, challenging the status quo

Also called the Pope or the High Priest, the Hierophant typically represents a religious leader or a figure of authority related to conventional education, which fits Bump’s role as principal of Hexside. The Hierophant serves as the mirror of the High Priestess (Eda, in this deck), suggesting to seek knowledge from conventional, well-established sources before you come to your own conclusions. Eda and Bump’s conflicting methods of teaching reflect this duality. The Hierophant discourages innovation in favor of conforming to preexisting ways, much like Principal Bump discourages his students from studying multiple magic tracks, following the Emperor’s coven system.

When reversed, this card represents embracing new methods of knowledge seeking, breaking from convention, and challenging the established system. Bump displays these ideas when he sees how much more enthusiastic his students are about school when he allows them to study multiple tracks. When his school is threatened by the Emperor’s coven, he ultimately breaks convention by rebelling against them in favor of protecting his students.

The Aries Moon is still void of course which means she’s not interacting with any planets. In the same way she’s hanging out by herself doing her own thing, so should you. Have an easy Saturday morning maybe do a little self care. Don’t start anything new.

In the middle of the day around the noon hour where I am in the Midwest, the Moon enters Taurus. Now is a great time to establish a routine but still not ideal for new routines. It’s better for consolidating existing projects that bring security and stability.
