I'm gonna be real I did pre-order games, but only two bc I couldn't always afford to buy games even when they used to cost 40-50€. those two games were ME: Andromeda and Cyberpoo, and both were absolute ass on launch, so I learned my lesson
and also 70€ is crazy expensive fuck off w that
#t#'don't you buy games on steam tho' all were bought during sales#I'd rather wait till the games are fixed and are available on steam for a couple of bucks#like I got kingdom come: deliverance for 5€ when it normally costs 50-60€ I think#I think cbp2077 is the last game I bought for full price#that was four years ago

suddenly racked with a pang of severe annoyance at persona 3 getting its second remake/updated version with new content and improved gameplay while persona 1 and 2 can't even get the psp versions ported to steam
#GUYS WHY NOT#P3P IS ON STEAM#WHAT DID WE DO#for the recond i would never advocate for someone spending money on a video game i just mean#it would help. with reach. okay#can you imagine it now.. if p2 was on steam.. it oes onsale for like 5 bucks. you should pick up p2. its on sale right now#your friend who doesn't want to learn how to emulate stuff now has no excuse

one thing about me is that I will almost never spend more than 20 dollars on a single video game, but I WILL wait for a sale and then buy like 4-5 games all at once
#the “under 10 dollars” section is my best friend and if you look during a sale you can get some really killer games for that much#i also scroll so far in the free to play section bc i've found some really great free games#idk. i usually only buy new games twice a year. once for the summer sale and once at black friday. if even that#my logic is that i'd rather spend 5 bucks now and have it wait in my steam library than spend 20 bucks when i'm ready to play

DAFFODIL, NOOOO- T_T
I didn't think he'd go that waaaaaaay ;(
I love the option to hug the creatures you help, it's just so freaking adorable! Makes me say awwwww everytime
And there are even comedic moments! Though, I think the ,,Gwen" one was just funny for me. It's like just Gwen hehe
And finally Daffodil can get some rest ^^
#Spiritfarer#bought it like two weeks ago#on a sale of course#i tend to prefer buying games like this cause if ya don't like it it hurts less to dislike a game for 5 bucks than for 20#but back to the topic#i love this game#at first it may have been a bit complicated as in do this and this and this buuuuut ya girl found her way#the art style is wonderful#the music is wonderful#the construction aspect is wonderful#even the fishing is sooooo satisfying#^^

I guess I should play it since it's only been out for 7 years
#i didnt get royal bc it wasnt on sale and i tend to not like the Ultimate Editions of these games#like with 3 and 4 the stuff they added ended up muddying the themes and straying sway from what they were about#so idk if royal is like that but at the very least im okay with playing og 5 because it was 8 bucks

Welcome to the Official DailyFigures Bootleg Spotting Guide™!!!!
here are the steps that i like to use! each step does have exceptions so just keep going down the list until you're 100% sure!
1. where are you buying the figure?
if you're buying from a trusted figure store there is no need to worry. sites like amiami, solaris, nin-nin game, good smile company, crunchyroll store, etc. do not sell bootlegs. if you're buying from ebay or similar sites, an individual seller, a local store, etc. you need to be a little more careful.
2. does the figure have a bootleg?
not every figure has a bootleg made of it! check myfigurecollection to make sure.
example ;
rapunzel miku has a bootleg, better check well before buying! vampire miku doesn't have a bootleg (yet?), you're good to go!
3. is the figure ridiculously cheap?
if the figure is extremely cheap for no apparent reason, it's probably a bootleg.
example ;
this is a bootleg. no one in their right mind would pay 150 bucks for a real figure and sell it for 8.
4. is the figure being sold from china?
almost all bootlegs (apart from people reselling their bootlegs) are produced and sold in china. obviously there are real collectors selling real figures living in china too so there are exceptions, but i'd be careful if you're inexperienced.
example ;
almost all the bootleg sellers on ebay are located in china.
5. how are the seller's reviews?
if it's an individual seller you can ask them for proof of past sales. if it's a reseller website like ebay you can check the reviews on their profile. some bootleg sellers use bots to give themselves overly positive reviews. be wary of accounts with a lot of sales and somehow 100% positive reviews!
example ;
this ebay seller sells bootlegs and has 100% positive reviews.
6. how do the pictures of the figure look?
there's 3 options ;
☆ the figure looks like an obvious bootleg in the picture (unsure how to tell? we'll get to that!) -> it's a bootleg.
☆ the seller only uses the official promotional pics and none of their own -> suspicious. there's no way to visually check the figure so this is very risky.
☆ the figure looks good in the pictures that the seller took -> either this is good news OR the seller stole these pictures from someone else and will send you a bootleg. a red flag is using pics with bad quality and multiple different backgrounds/lighting (they stole the pictures from multiple different people). make sure to reverse image search their pictures!
7. how do you recognise a bootleg just from looking at it?
let's say you're looking at an ad and maybe the lighting is a little vague so you're just not fully sure whether the figure looks right or not. here's what we do!
1. get a picture of a bootleg of the figure in question which you can find on myfigurecollection (figure page -> pictures -> bootlegs).
2. get a picture of the real figure, preferably a user picture since promotional pics can look a little better than the real product. (figure page -> pictures -> figures).
3. pick some details that are clearly different between the original and the bootleg.
4. get a picture from the ad you're unsure about. check the details you've just picked. does it match the bootleg or the real figure? there we go!
example ;
these are user pictures of a real miku figure and a bootleg where i circled the differences i picked. in this case; the way her hair flows, the direction the pink flowers grow in and the length of the stem of the yellow rose.
here are two pictures i found in two different ads of this figure. i circles the differences i picked; the first pic has long straighter hair, pink flowers growing to the left direction and a yellow rose with longer stem. this is real! the right pic has shorter curled up hair, pink flowers growing straight down and a yellow rose with a very short stem. this is a bootleg!
thank you for reading my guide!!! i am by no means an expert, these are just the steps i like to use myself and i am absolutely open to suggestions and questions! :)

Hey, folks. Starting today and continuing through July 13th, all of Penguin King Games' non-PWYW titles are 50% off. This includes Zach Welhouse's Cerebos: The Crystal City – a surrealist travelogue game about riding trains and getting mixed up in existential shenanigans – as well as my own Costume Fairy Adventures (a game whose title is entirely self-explanatory) and its various supplements. You can get the whole lot for $22.50, or pick and choose individual games for half price – it works out the same either way.
It you're are interested in seeing any of the games I've got cooking right now go 1.0, the back catalogue is what pays to keep the lights on, so why not send a few bucks our way? In particular, if you've picked up Costume Fairy Adventures but not the supplements via one of those charity bundles on itch.io, this is a great chance to round out the collection – all three CFA playsets are only $7.50 with the sale.

ATTENTION EVERYBODY
i'm here today to spread my propagand because my current favorite video game franchise, Spark the Electric Jester, is on sale for very cheap on steam and i think YOU should buy it 🫵
my canadian friend was the only one online to take a sc for me but as you can see it's VERY CHEAP!! isn't it worth it to spend 5 bucks on an indie game and potentially have a great time?
the first Spark the Electric Jester game is a 16-bit platformer inspired by all the classics of its genre, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Kirby, and Megaman, but with its own characters, story and style, making it very unique and fun on its own merit!
you play as spark, a jester and also a little alien guy, who after losing his job to a robot made to replace him, goes on a quest to defeat the evil robots taking over the world, and hopefully get his job back
games 2 and 3 take the series into a different direction, turning 3D and taking gameplay inspiration from platformers like 3D Sonic the Hedgehog instead, and taking the plot into a more serious (and darker) turn
...but i won't get into it since they depend heavily on game 1 for context
so, if any of this interests you at all, i absolutely recommend you give the first game a shot! support indie games!!! have fun!!!!

Ian Gallagher loves thrifting shopping
-From as early as he can remember Fiona would drag him and Lip (and later on the other kids) to various thrift shops to scout for winter coats and homeware goods. Fiona let him and Lip run around and play a game of “find the ugliest thing in the shop” while she desperately searched the bins for a winter coat that could fit a 5 year old that he could also grow into. She has 25 bucks in hand trying to find clothing to keep her brothers warm all the while Lip and Ian are playing hide and seek in the back
-When he grows a little older he takes Debbie and Carl with him to find clothes for summer (most of fiona’s clothes don’t fit debbie yet so she needs a whole new wardrobe, but carl inherited his brothers old clothes). Ian spends hours rummaging through the racks hoping to find a some decent looking clothes that could survive multiple years of the harsh summer heat
-Once Liam is born the Gallaghers have a ton of baby clothes he can use and grow into- they’ve been passed down from Lip, Ian, Debbie and now Carl. Even so, Ian wants to give Liam something new-ish that could be just his. He has about 20 bucks and he goes to thrift shops on the north side to look for some better quality baby clothes and toys- he finds an unused teddy bear and a handsome little jacket
-When he’s a young adult Ian spends a small amount of his pay check each month collecting bits and pieces for the home- new kitchenware and some new towels for the bathroom, some posters for Carl and Liam, books for Debbie and candles for Fiona.
-When Ian and Mickey moved into their apartment, they go thrifting in the fancy shops on the west side (“you won’t believe what these rich fuckers give away for free, man!”) They find a nice little patio furniture set for 50 bucks that they use everyday, Ian finds a lightly used blue Le Cruset oven-dish and he’s never been happier
-Ian keeps up his childhood game of “find the ugliest thing in the shop” with Mickey and Liam. He finds a “trophy wife” t-shirt that he buys for himself (“i know what i am and i’m proud of it”), a new backpack for Liam alongside new textbooks he needs for high school
-Mickey discovers that thrift shops have a good deal on dvds (“fuck netflix man, i prefer the physical copies”), he ends up finding a sale of 10 dvds for 1 dollar (so naturally he ends up with 30 dvds, he likes having them stacked up next to the tv). Ian picks out a lot of kids movies for Franny and Freddie and some documentaries for Liam, but the rest are all the movies he and mickey loves
-As a kid he used to frequent thrift shops in hopes of finding clothes to keep him and his siblings warm throughout the winter, but as an adult he can afford new clothes. Now, he spends his time looking for items for his home- new lampshades, curtains, posters and artwork that mickey will also like.
-He is no longer worried of spending another winter without a jacket, but he will always pop by a thrift shop when he sees one…
“just in case”

Crazy how when I was a kid I used to remember thinking that if I waited long enough, new games would go on sale and get traded in enough that I could wait for a new one I wanted to hit the 20 bucks mark and buy it with my allowance. And it was true. And I didnt even have to wait THAT long. Now it doesn't even matter because games that are 7 years old are still 80 bucks and never go on sale and even after being traded in 5 times over they're only 10 bucks cheaper. So I might as well just get them brand new on release because I'll be waiting until I'm dead for the price to drop. How do kids these days even save up that much for new games anymore? I remember scrounging up coins that fell between the couch cushions to cover the tax on dragon age: origins and then biking over to the eb games and getting it pretty early after release because someone traded it in and it dropped the price to 25 dollars and I had like JUST that amount. I got a AAA game on a child's allowance back then because I got it used.
Shout out to that eb games manager who sold an 11 year old an M rated game because she'd seen my parents buy me M rated games in the past and figured it was fine, she was the GOAT
