New Nation: 3
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Kurt couldn’t stay still for more than a day after the incident in the castle. When he returned the following day, Dietmar, his sister, and his friend were gone. They hadn’t left any of their possessions – or Kurt’s – behind. Everyone that Kurt had methodically removed from action was also gone. It almost looked like nothing had happened in that large castle, but Kurt and the Nation knew better.
Whenever Kurt tried to settle down for the night, a small patrol disturbed him. They flooded Berlin and regularly ventured out of the city. Kurt knew that they had to be looking for him, for the timing was perfect. Not only that, but mutants with physical giveaways patrolled with them. Kurt had becoming high priority to the Nation leader in old Germany.
Back up didn’t exist. No one was fighting back against the Nation, so there weren’t any organizations that Kurt could fall back to so that he could receive some help. Instead, Kurt had to stay on his toes and keep moving. At times, his luck was so bad that the Nation would find him within hours, pulling him out of his nap. Exhaustion started to nip at Kurt’s body after only a couple days after the incident. The Nation and their searches were relentless, however, even though they had no proof that Kurt was around anymore. The blue mutant scared them. He was a threat that they hadn’t encountered in a long time.
What Kurt found funny was that he didn’t have the upper hand in Germany. He didn’t know the villains or the people. He’d been too far removed in the Americas and he could tell the longer he stayed on German soils. Actually, he didn’t think Germany was Germany anymore. They probably renamed it to something much sillier and moved the borders a few miles so that the worst of the baddies could have fair boundaries.
Kurt didn’t know who was in charge of former Germany. He couldn’t find them, couldn’t learn anything about them, and therefore couldn’t fight him. All he knew was that Magneto went back to his island off of Africa to rule peacefully, or so he claimed. News didn’t bounce around networks as well as it did before Alcatraz fell. Moving around at all was hard enough under the Nation’s influence. Air lines had been shut down quickly, sometimes forcefully by some super powered bad guy’s muscle flex.
Kurt continued his surveillance whenever he could, though he had to switch his timing back during the day. He acquired an over-sized hoodie to hide his features and kept his hands shoved into his pockets whenever others were around. He also found a pair of baggy jeans and a belt to hold them up so that he could more easily tuck away his tail. While his costume wasn’t perfect, it kept immediate suspicion off of him. He could partially roam the streets without raising alarm.
The weather threatened to dump buckets again one week after the incident in the castle. It was too early in the morning for him to return to where he stashed his meager belongings and call it a day, but every part of him didn’t want to stay out in the rain. Whenever the light furring on his body got wet, he had the hardest time getting dry again, especially without adequate shelter and a towel. He was thankful that cleanliness wasn’t high on anyone’s priority list anymore, instead switching back over to survival like before the Industrial Revolution. The only thing was, they had machines to make their life better, but the Nation’s rise negated many of their functions.
Kurt stayed high up on the buildings until drops began to break from the clouds’ bottoms. He scooped the hood of his jacket up from his back and over his ears, pulling the draw strings tighter so that it wouldn’t fall off. Not only was the rain wet, but it was cold. If Kurt stayed out in the weather for too long, he’d be wet for hours, beating himself up when he caught a cold. Getting sick wasn’t exactly what he needed at a time like this.
The sky opened up further, sending freezing drops cascading to the ground in bursts of waves. They weren’t particularly big drops, but Kurt could feel them hit hard against the fabric of his sweatshirt. Below, most of the people outside scrambled to get into buildings, dashing far and wide to get to where they lived. Hanging out anywhere but where you called home could easily bring problems. Only one person stayed behind, but not by choice. She didn’t look like she had a place to go, for she huddled up as tight as she could against the cold brick wall. Even though she made herself as small as she possibly could, it wasn’t enough to keep away from the penetrating rain. Small puddles accumulated fast all around her, and if anyone were to rush by, she’d suffer the spray from the splash.
Kurt leaned forward onto his hands, looking in every direction to see if Nation patrols were near. When he saw no one, he continued his projection downward, gripping onto the walls with the handy mutant stickiness in his hands and feet. He appreciated whatever caused him to adhere to walls.
„Are you alright?“ Kurt asked once he reached the ground. He hopped down to his two legs for the final couple feet.
The girl was already to her feet when Kurt arrived, hugging a bag close to her side. Her features were sharp and hallow, the color in her face nearly a ghostly white. Her eyes fixated on Kurt’s face, searching for his eyes. She also didn’t look afraid or alarmed to see him, which was not very common anymore.
„Miss?“ Kurt prompted.
„Ah, yes. I’m fine.“ She looked defeated under a mop of heavy wet hair and didn’t move to leave.
„Do you have anywhere to go?“ Kurt asked.
She broke eye contact, staring down at her feet for a heartbeat. When she raised her gaze again, she didn’t find his eyes. „No. You’re not Nation, are you?“
„Nein,“ Kurt confirmed. „I am independent.“ She didn’t look uncomfortable, but she didn’t offer further conversation. „Would you be interested in somewhere dry to wait out the storm?“ he offered. „I can see if I can get us in this building.“ He thumbed over to the wall that she had tried to take shelter against.
„I really don’t want to inconvenience you – “
„No inconvenience!“ he insisted. He searched the streets again for signs of Nation. They were clear, but visibility was low. Rain poured hard and fast, throwing up thick mist making it hard for anyone to see. „If you don’t mind physical contact …“
She found his eyes again, but her brow was furrowed. „Entschuldegung?“
Kurt didn’t bother with explaining. He wanted to get out of the rain before he was not only soaked to the skin, but cold to the bone as well. He took a step forward, placed a hand on her shoulder, wrapping his fingers lightly around the curve of her physique, and aimed to teleport inside. He relied heavily on his spatial awareness so that he and the girl didn’t end up in the middle of anything on the other side of the wall.
The girl broke away from him, pushing away with a hefty shove. She immediately bent over, holding herself tightly over the chest. Staying low to the ground, she gradually got her bearings. Teleporting with Kurt wasn’t a very pleasant experience. While Kurt was accustomed to the violent means of travel, and had gradually built up the strength to teleport with passengers without feeling exhausted afterwards, that didn’t mean other people were. Whoever this girl was, she was now subject to the subsequent nausea and sudden drain of energy.
„I’m sorry,“ Kurt apologized quickly. „I should have warned you and waited for your permission.“ He sat down beside her and lowered the hood of his sweatshirt.
„What just happened?“ she asked. „Where are we?“
„We are inside the building,“ Kurt told her. „It’s no secret that I am a mutant thanks to my dashing looks. I don’t just look the part, but have the ability to teleport as well.“ He held out a hand over his chest for her to take. Even though he had scared her and probably made her feel like her stomach would fight her, she didn’t balk at his presence any more than when he first showed his face. She took his hand lightly, revealing just how cold her fingers were. Kurt held back an exclamation as he introduced himself: „My name is Kurt. In costume, I was known as Nightcrawler.“
„You were part of Excalibur, is that so?“
Kurt felt a little piece of the puzzle lock into place. Could she not have panicked because she already recognized his face? Even so, Excalibur was not that public of a team. They didn’t do much more in England than the X-Men did in the Americas.
„That is true,“ Kurt confirmed. He raised the corners of his lips in a soft smile, though he dared not bare his teeth in a large grin. She was comfortable with him now, but he had pushed hard enough for such a short period of time. „It has been a long time since then.“ The fact that it had been so long raised another question. This girl looked like she was no older than her early twenties, yet she recognized Kurt’s face from an old, dead team? Kurt had spent years back in the Americas after Excalibur broke up, and it had been at least another year since the Nation took over. What young teen was so vigilant in keeping up with a small superhero team?
„I wanted to be like you when I was little. I knew I wasn’t a mutant, but I wanted to do good anyway.“ She sighed and dropped her eyes to the ground. She looked ashamed more than anything. „Now look at me.“
„Like me?“ Kurt asked.
The shame cleared up to sheepishness. „Maybe not you you.“
„I see,“ Kurt said. His voice was heavily laden with amusement, but quickly switched back to a more serious tone. „I do not, however, see why you should be ashamed of your state of being. While gifted, or cursed, as I am, I am not much better off than you.“ He paused in speech, coming up with a rather small idea. To even the playing field a little more, he pulled his hoodie over his head, wiggling his arms to release them from the clingy fabric. „Would you like my pullover?“ he asked her. He handed the clump of material over, hoping it wasn’t too wet to keep from helping. „You felt cold when I shook your hand. I have a little more insulation than you.“
She took the hoodie carefully, weighing it in her hands before throwing its arms over her shoulders, using it like a small blanket. It was a start, at the very least. „Danke schön.“ She let the silence hang for a moment before she continued. „I don’t see it that way. You are still out saving people like me because I can’t even take care of myself.“
„I wish it were as simple as that,“ Kurt countered. „I am currently being hunted. I do not know if there is a capture or a kill order on my head, but I know the Nation is looking for me. You are not safe around me. I don’t know how well I will be able to protect you. A hero does not endanger others. He protects others. I am barely holding it together. I am operating on little to no sleep and I cannot remember the last time I’ve had anything to eat.“ He stopped. He didn’t need to dump his problems on this girl. She didn’t need that. He finally had an ear to listen for the first time in months and he was abusing it. If anyone was to vent, this girl had more right. She looked like she had been alone for far too long and she was struggling to hold on anymore. „I’m sorry. That was uncalled for.“
„I have a chocolate bar in my bag,“ she said. She ducked away to dig through it. Kurt hadn’t noticed it beside her earlier. It was small, but it appeared very handy.
„No, no,“ Kurt refused. He held up his hands as a barrier. „I cannot take from you.“
„I insist,“ she pursued. She pulled the candy out from the depths of her cloth bag, turning around to shove it into his open hand. „Please? It would make me feel better.“
Kurt saw the emotion swimming in her eyes. When she said she aspired to be like the superheroes of tale, she meant it. How horrible was the world to crush those noble feelings. There weren’t many people out there like her, yet she was left clinging to the edge of the building with no one and nothing. She wasn’t as much of a fighter, but the world didn’t need so many of those people, at least not without as much heart as this girl possessed.
„Thank-you,“ Kurt said quietly. His posture dropped. Finally, after days of trying to stay strong and together since the castle, he could drop his guard. The Nation would eventually find him – that much was inevitable – but for now he was at peace with another soul.
He softly grabbed the candy bar from her, holding it but not opening it. At the very least, he would not divulge himself in front of her. „I never caught your name.“ He knew very well that she had never offered any personal information, but he would stay civil.
„How rude of me!“ she gasped. „I am called Leonie.“
„Nice to meet you, Leonie. Perhaps not under the circumstances, but it is very nice to have another friendly person to talk to.“
„Likewise.“ She snuggled deeper into the hoodie, pushing her chin into the hood’s wrinkles to better keep warm. Kurt wished he had something else to offer to her, but all that was left to him were the clothes on his back and the chocolate that she had given him. „It’s a little sad to realize how much of the world before was polite formalities,“ she commented absently. She immediately had Kurt’s undivided attention. What did she mean?
„Ja?“ he prompted.
„I mean, it was rare to find someone so openly with an aggressive attitude. Now it’s commonplace.“
„I think I’ve noticed that from when I watch over the people. It’s difficult to tell from so far away, though.“
Leonie nodded. „No one really talks to anyone anymore unless they have to. I don’t have what other people need, so I am forgotten and pushed aside. On the bright side, it’s kept the soldiers from noticing me as well.“ She leaned into him, pressing her shoulder against his. She still felt so cold to him. He was surprised she wasn’t shivering and her teeth chattering. „Thank-you for not leaving me there.“
„Honestly, there is no need to thank me. Chatting with you is thanks enough.“ It made him feel weak to admit it, but he needed a friendly conversation. He was slowly breaking down without it. Kurt was a man of interaction built on social needs.
„Does that mean you are alone?“ Leonie asked.
„I am,“ he admitted. „I have been since I came back to Germany. Since the rise of the Nation, most people regard me with fear or anger. Your friendliness is new.“
„I’m sorry,“ she sympathized. „I find that surprising.“
„Why?“
„I don’t know. I guess I always assumed that where there was one hero, there would be another. Heroes in stories aren’t alone.“
„I am not a hero,“ Kurt said firmly. She spoke like she was schooled and well-read, but she clung to the fantasy of the world being full of heroes. She was still childish after all, further causing Kurt to guess her age to be so young. He was curious, but he wouldn’t ask. He needed to get into her head that he was not some fictional character. It could put her in danger if she thought that he was all powerful and good. Kurt was still human, despite his looks. He had failures and he had his selfish moments. „I have fought for what I believe is right, and I have been a part of a couple teams of mutants, but we were not heroes.“ Technically, Kurt and his team had saved the world from certain destruction multiple times, but those efforts were generally unknown by the populace. He wouldn’t bring them up.
„You sound like a hero to me,“ she persisted.
Kurt sighed and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. Her skin was beginning to shiver; the cold was finally getting to her. Kurt would do the best he could to keep her from getting too chilled, being the fuzzy blue teddy bear that he was.
While Kurt knew that it would be better if Leonie didn’t idol him at all, so long as she understood that he was not perfect, did he really have to shatter her world? Could he not let her believe that there was still good out there? She was already so beaten and downtrodden. Did she really need Kurt arguing with her?
„I do what I believe is good,“ Kurt agreed. He was careful with his words. „I do not believe that makes me a hero. I made some grave mistakes, but I will not keep that from continuing to fight injustices.“
Leonie didn’t answer verbally. Instead, she leaned in closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder. Her body twisted around to further tuck in against his torso. Kurt didn’t know if she was hearing him or not, but he wasn’t sure if that was going to be a problem anyway.
„Are you okay?“ Kurt asked.
„Yeah.“ Kurt was about to ask a confirmation question before she spoke again. „Cold. Tired. Really tired, actually.“
„Let’s warm you up and then we’ll look into fixing the other problem, right?“ Kurt suggested. He held out his other arm to envelop her into a full hug, pulling her forward the few extra inches so that they could share more body heat. Kurt switched from a crouch to his knees for better balance, whereas she sat flat out on the ground. Her legs pulled up against the back of his arm, her face tucked neatly against his shoulder. Despite the intermittent shivers, he could feel her relax into the contact.
Kurt was lucky he wasn’t feeling the cold. It wasn’t winter in Germany, not yet at least, but it was getting there. The days were getting significantly shorter as autumn wore on, and with it, the temperature was steadily dropping as well. Before long, the heavy showers and storms they were experiencing would turn to heavy snow storms.
While their conversation was temporarily halted, and Kurt was using his body as a miniature space heater, he finally got a good look around the building they were in. For some reason, their surroundings weren’t as important after the initial teleport inside. Nothing got teleported inside them, so all was good.
As was typical with the times, the space was very grungy. A thick layer of dust covered the ground, making it difficult to tell exactly what kind of surface they were sitting on. The building was long and narrow with one wall separating the front half from the back half they were huddled up in. The light they were using to see was coming through the door in the wall, which had a good view of a giant store front window. The window was dirty, so Kurt wasn’t concerned that a random passer-by would spot them out of the corner of their eye. Someone would have to be looking hard to see them. As it was, Kurt couldn’t tell if it was still raining or not. The sound of the rain was instantly muted the moment they were inside the building.
The front half of the building appeared to be an old store, though what kind of store was up in the air. Empty shelves lined the walls, as well as one more spanning the length of the middle of the room. A counter reached across to stop just before the door. The area where Leonie and Kurt were sitting in looked to be more of a storage room, where the store would keep their extra merchandise. The shelves were deeper, more industrial, and taller than those in the front of the room. A couple boxes rested permanently on the shelves, but otherwise it was just as empty as up front.
None of the surfaces looked to be especially comfortable or soft. Though if Kurt wasn’t very accustomed to having a soft place to sleep anymore, Leonie probably wasn’t very far off. She was resigned to the fact that she would be sitting out the storm at the edge of the building, getting rained on nevertheless.
Leonie’s tremors slowly disappeared as she tapped into Kurt’s heat. Her contact felt less like clinging and more like cuddling. „Leonie?“
„Hmm?“ Her voice was already getting a little drowsy.
„Where have you been sleeping?“ Kurt had the rest of his stuff, which included another hoodie and a new notebook and pen, stashed at an old apartment above a Berlin outskirts store, much like the one they were in. He hadn’t actually spent the night there and he probably never would have. He liked to stay further away from the city at night, just in case.
She mumbled for a second before shifting ever so slightly so that her face wasn’t pressed against the nook of his shoulder. „In alleys, mostly.“
„This whole time?“ Kurt exclaimed. She didn’t strike him as a street urchin.
„No, no. I only recently got out.“
„Got out?“ Kurt echoed. She wasn’t being as helpful as she was just a few minutes ago. She was obviously warming up if she was comfortable enough to fall asleep.
„Yeah. The slave house.“ Kurt wasn’t sure if she sounded like she was stating the obvious because that was what she meant to get across or if she was having a hard time controlling the tone of her voice from fatigue. Whatever it was, Kurt did not know of any slave house.
„You were a slave?“ He was finding it difficult to control the tone of his own voice.
„Yeah. The Nation’s slave. No one wanted me for real work; I was too small or too meek.“
„Leonie, could you show me where this slave house is tomorrow?“
She whimpered ever so slightly, Kurt almost didn’t catch it. He did, however, feel her squirm so her legs were a little tighter against him. „I can. Are you going to save them?“
As much as Kurt insisted that he was not a hero, he couldn’t just let a bunch of people stay slaves to the Nation. While it was bound to happen, it sparked up too much fury from some unknown place within him to ignore. Of course the Nation would turn to slave labor. „I won’t make any promises,“ Kurt insisted, „but I will definitely scope it out.“ He felt her arms snake around him just enough to give him a tight squeeze, though they didn’t return to their initial position from around her own self.
„Would you mind if I fall asleep? Right here? Right now?“ she asked.
Kurt couldn’t help but smile softly. He felt his brow pull tight in a worried expression, but it wasn’t her fault. He understood her need for another human’s contact. He would be lying if he wasn’t feeling better from how close they currently were. They barely knew each other, but they also weren’t at each other’s throats. „I wouldn’t,“ he assured her.
Her head shift again so that her neck was more comfortable. It didn’t take long from then for her breathing to even out, signaling that she had temporarily left him. Her arms slackened their hold around his middle and her legs shifted limply against the floor. Kurt let his legs take most of her weight, but he kept his arms around her. He didn’t have any plans to leave her, but he also didn’t plan on sleeping either. Especially now that she was under his wing, he needed to make sure the Nation didn’t spontaneously find him. He had watched as they entered every door along a street and presumed that the search was for him. He expected this door wouldn’t be much different than any of those.
Once the ambient light from outside faded, there wasn’t much left to see by inside the building. Kurt had a feeling that it was only his superior night vision that allowed him to see anything at all.
His legs and knees began to get a little sore not long after the day retired, more from the pressure than anything, but he refused to shift. His physique allowed him to sit at a crouch and run with all four of his limbs, unlike other people, but it didn’t do much to alleviate the burden of being a human bed. Eventually, the minor annoyance reached a level where he didn’t feel anything at all.

Haikyuu: Werewolf!AU Iwaizumi Hajime
From GREEN
For: Chiwa - http://www.adorably-obnoxious.tumblr.com -
Stepping off the train, you could smell it in the air.
“Here it comes,” you whispered to yourself, smiling softly.
You knew it would be a good day whenever you felt the first drop of a rain shower. And having that first drop slide along your cheek made you feel as if something spectacular would happen.
Unfortunately you didn’t have the time to enjoy it. You had been running late to the new gallery opening, and the client had been freaking out about missing a piece inspired by Peter Rubens that they refused to start the show without.
You loved your job, you really really did. But sometimes the you wished you were a curator at an art museum instead…you loved historical art more than the new stuff people came up with.
Like I’m sorry but two lines sharp against a blank back drop is not art. You thought, recalling a show you put on for a client a few months back.
You clutched the portfolio carrying the piece the artist was so concerned about, and made a break through the rain for the safety of your show-building.
“Oh god, I can’t do this!” You heard coming from the the back room.
As the door closed behind you, you called out, “Daichi! I got it!”
The short dark-haired male rounded the corner, pure joy expressed on his features.
“You are now my favorite person in this world!” He practically ran to you, kissing your cheeks before taking the portfolio and pulling the painting from its protective layer.
Seeing the work itself, you understood why he was so desperate to have it in this show.
“Well doesn’t that just hurt my feelings…” A grey haired male called, shaking off the water covering his jacket.
You smiled at him, “Hey Suga. Get caught in the rain?”
He returned your expression before snapping his fingers. Suddenly all the water on or around him was gone, “What rain?” He winked at you before walking over to his boyfriend. “Oh you brought my favorite one. We aren’t selling it, right?” He asked solemnly.
“Of course not,” Daichi replied, kissing him on the temple as he wrapped his empty arm around his other half. “Just want to show everyone my best piece. That’s what this show is for right?”
Chuckling, you added, “And to sell all your other ones. We do have to make a living here.”
Looking over the picture, you noted how the horses resembled Rubens’ “The Fall of Phaeton” and made sure to write on the name card that it was not available for sale.
“Besides Suga,” You called to the young warlock, stopping the couple mid-kiss. “I may be Daichi’s favorite person right now, but we all know you’re his favorite everything.”
The males smiled to each other before locking their lips.
Laughing, you gave them some time alone.
You had about five minutes until the show started, and you were going to use that time to relax.
After the show finished, a couple of the guests hung around speaking with your artist. You plastered a friendly smile onto your face as you approached them.
“-st so amazing, Daichi. I still cannot believe how far you’ve come.” The tallest in the group finished saying, slapping his hand on the artist’s back. Everyone in the group laughed merrily, and you figured they must be old friends.
Entering the little circle you centered everyone’s attention to you, “Well as happy as I am to encourage camaraderie, I’m going to have to ask you to take it somewhere else for the night.” You laughed as you added the kicker, “Don’t want to get locked in this building with no food or drinks until it reopens at 6am do you?”
The grouped smiled and some laughed at your question.
Daichi was the first to speak, “Of course, (Y/N). Wouldn’t want to overstay.” Winking at his boyfriend, “Though I’m sure Suga could figure us a way out if need be.”
Blushing, the grey haired individual was too tongue tied to respond.
However, you got a serious look and stated, “the security system is impervious to the supernatural as well as the humane.”
The males in the group looked at you as if you had been a completely different person, but you just shook it off. Both their looks of concern and disbelief, and the feeling of unease and paranoia creeping up your body.
Clapping his hands, the shortest of the group tried lightening the mood, “Well why don’t we go celebrate at that new bar downtown? I happen to have an in with the owner and he’s been telling me to check it out.”
Rolling his eyes, Suga smiled, “We all know Noya. Chikara has been begging Diachi and I to come by since before he even officially opened.” The silver haired male kissed his boyfriend’s temple before continuing, “And I guess now is as good a time as any. Right hun?”
Smiling, he started pulling Suga’s hand. Leading him out the doors. “Thanks for a great show, (Y/N). I’ll come by tomorrow to talk about the end results.”
You grinned as everyone made their way out, sending small waves back to those who made a motion of farewell.
Locking the door behind the group, you let out a tight breath.
Just in time to hear a knocking from the rear entrance.
Quickly making you way over you saw him.
A blinding smile took over your face as you unlocked the hunk of metal standing between you and the love of your life.
He stepped in before you even had the door open all the way, wrapping his arms around you to catch you from falling by the sudden pressure on the door.
Kicking it shut behind him he let his lips latch onto your own.
You let your hands caress his cheeks, and moan into his mouth as he deepens the assault with a nip to your bottom lip. You felt him smile against your skin before he leaned back to give you a breather.
“I’ve missed you.” He said before nuzzling into your neck.
Nodding, you silently agreed with him. You didn’t trust your voice to not squeal in pleasure from his bites.
Pulling back, he smirks at you. “Say something, will ya?”
Smiling, “We still going to that party?” When he winks at you, you release a laugh. “We need to change then.”
He steps away and shakes out his body. Smirking at you, “Ok. Done.”
You lightly hit his shoulder. Letting your hand linger to scratch at the super soft fur that covered what had previously been smooth skin.
Running upstairs, you went to put on your costume for the night, thinking, Lucky Hajime, not having to put on extra stuff for this thing.
You were dressed up as an older version of little red riding hood. And man, did your werewolf boyfriend find the corset and skirt ensemble inviting.
“Damn you look hot.” He said, nuzzling into your neck despite the large hunk of fabric scrunching its way between your back and his chest.
Laughing, you teased, “I’m basically cosplaying a child here Hajime, how much of predator do you want to be mistaken for?” You winked at him while turning around and placing a small kiss on his cheek. Grabbing a small woven basket you planned to use as your purse for the night. “Let’s go before Kuroo hides all the good candy, okay?”
“I hate that werepanther. He is so full of himself.” Iwaizumi growled out, hand linking with your empty one.
“That’s not why. You don’t like him because we dated before I met you.” You tapped him on the nose lightly and let a huge grin take your features. “Maybe even the fact that he introduced us, but definitely NOT because of his self-confidence.”
Shaking his head, your boyfriend started laughing, “Gods, I love you.”
“And I you.” You said simply, dragging him out the way he entered and locking the door behind the both of you.
A bright red-light flashed from inside the building and you flinched in response.
“Has that been working properly?” He asked.
You let Hajime wrap his arms around your waist before answering, “Yes, but it still freaks me out that they’re out there. That even you couldn’t catch them.”
He growled in a protective manner. “I will always protect you from the vile that are vampires. Hell, I even made Oikawa tell all his underlings to kill any that smell like them.”
Letting your lips twitching into a small smile, you pulled away from your boyfriend’s embrace. “Thanks Hajime. And, I know you’ll protect me. It’s one of the benefits of loving you and being the person of your affections.”
Snaking his arm over your shoulder as the two of you made your way once again, he smirked, “And don’t ever forget it.”
You knocked on the wall besides the pitch black door.
A silver tipped head of spikes stuck out and then became a blur as soon as it recognized you.
“(F/N)!!” He called, before blurring into a hug with you. Running in circles because he was to excited to focus on his power control.
You threw your head back in laughter, “Hahahah, Hey Bokuto.”
“I’VE MISSED YOU!” He yelled, calming down enough to place you back on your feet, but not letting go of his embrace.
You continued laughing, trying to catch your breath, when Hajime grabbed you empty hand and jerked you back to his side.
Growling, “Mine.” With yellow in his eyes.
You smacked his arm. “Bokuto’s one of my best friends, baka. Leave it be.”
He immediately looked as you as if he was a kicked puppy, and his eyes returned to their normal olive green. You’d never admit it to him, but you’d drown in his eyes if you stared to long.
Pulling your gaze away, you saw another head sticking out from the black abyss that stood in the doorframe.
“Kageyama!!” You yelled before pushing off your boyfriend and latching your arms around your childhood neighbor.
The being wrapped his arm around the small of you back to keep you from falling to the floor when you swung your legs around his hips.
Huffing out in a stark tone, “Jesus, (F/N)! Your lucky I’m prophetic, otherwise your boyfriend over there would attack me for you hurting yourself.”
Smiling as you unattached yourself from the blue-haired male, you shyly admitted that you hadn’t even thought about that possibility.
“Well!” Bokuto yelled, before he figured Hajime could move to make another jealous comment or action. “Let’s get back to the party!”
However, your boyfriend just looked at you and Kageyama as if it was nothing new. The prophetic male was your closest confidant. The person who you had always gone to in times of need growing up and, as your boyfriend, he knew better than to say anything about your and Kageyama’s friendship.
Your group stepped through the seemingly black hole of a door, and were met with a perfect replica of an abandoned old house.
“Hajime, look!” You called before jumping over a spot in the floor that looked like there was actually no ground.
“(F/N)!” He yelled, reaching out to you.
Landing on the dark spot you laughed manically, “Hahah it’s not real, love.” You latched your hand in his before pulling him in for a kiss.
The force he kissed you back with made you weak at the knees. It was like he was punishing you for the jealousy and fear you made him feel.
But if this was how he behaved after such small things, you didn’t think you’d mind.
A bit later and you finally came by the host.
Who would have guessed that a were-panther would dress up as a wolf for halloween.
“Kuroo!” You called, recognizing his piercing eyes from anywhere.
He whipped his head in your direction and a sly-grin pulled his mouth wide. “(F/N), glad you could make it.” He looked you over before winking, “Nice costume! Guess we could pair up for the costume contest, yea?”
You laughed at his joking, knowing he was just trying to rile up your boyfriend. The merry reaction growing when his hand tightened around your waist. “Where’s Kenma?” You asked simply.
The boy came into your view, he nodded in greeting before pulling Kuroo away to handle some situation that you didn’t hear all the details about.
After the party, you walked down the dark streets, nearly falling asleep with every step.
“(F/N), I can just carry you if you want to sleep.” You boyfriend offered.
You smiled at him, eyes heavy with drowsiness. “Sorry, Hajime. I don’t know why I am so tired all of a sudden.”
He kisses your temple before lowering to his knees for you to climb onto his back.
As you settle into the comfortable hold the two of you are used to in these situations, the last thing you hear before the dark abyss of sleep takes hold is Hajime’s voice clearly stating, “Don’t think of anything unnecessary. I love you, you’re the best partner I could have. Just let me keep protecting you.”
You felt fuzzy, and let your eyes slowly adjust to the image in front of you.
As soon as your vision cleared, all you could make out was the blood and decapitated bodies.
Upchucking whatever contents were in your stomach, you were to busy to hear Iwaizumi calling out for you.
Soon enough he was kneeling in front of your form, caressing your features, trying to get you to respond to him.
“(F/N),” He cried, “Please, please just answer me. I’m so sorry.”
You coughed around a lump in your throat, “What happened?”
He smiled at getting you to respond, but withdrew a bit before answering, “They came from every direction. They used a witch to drug the air. That’s why you got so tired so quickly. Since I was still transformed it didn’t effect me the way they planned. I called Oikawa and the pack as soon as I realized the vampires were trying to take you again. They were here in a matter of seconds and the battle commenced. You wouldn’t wake so we knew we didn’t get the witch they hired, but we couldn’t find anyone. I was so worried-”
“Oh just get to the good party already~” Oikawa sang, stepping around from the building along the main road.
“Shut up, Ass-ikawa.” You boyfriend retaliated. Smiling despite his harsher words. “Anyway, Oikawa and the newbies tracked him down and brought him back. As a team, our pack forced him to release you and then we let him meet the same end as the vampires targeting you.”
You kept coughing, but were trying to memorize every detail of the story Hajime told you. “Thank you for protecting me, Hajime.” You locked eyes with him. Not turning to acknowledge his pack leader at all.
“How mean~” He sang out, pulling Iwaizumi’s attention. “We go through all this work and she still only thanks you.”
Dropping his transformation, Hajime’s gorgeous brown eyes and sharp spiked hair shook in amusement. Picking you up, and carrying you bridal style between his large biceps, he explained, “You’re a really amazing pack leader. Even if dynamics differ, or the pack changes, that itself will not. But if you try taking her from me, I will defeat you.” You snuggled closer to his hold, and he smiled down at you. “Not that she’d ever let that happen.”
The two of them laughed before saying their goodbyes.
You knew the next day would bring hardships, and you’d have to help Iwaizumi through the crushing regret he will face from taking so many lives (even if it was quote un-quote justified by you and his pack), but for now, things were okay. You were in the arms of the man you loved, and he would do everything in his powers to keep the woman he loves happy and safe. Even from the stuttering mess that was his pack leader.

I loved the ficlet you did! I am curious though so- Prompt: Super Hot Galran Keith getting mobbed at the mall! (were they shopping for pants with tail holes or did Keith get taller too?)
A kinda-sorta sequel to this. …This might have fallen into the crack-zone.
Shiro thought the tail would be the worst problem with Keith’s newGalra form.
He was wrong.
Shiro initially loved Keith’s addition. The Red Paladin’s suittransformed on its own to accommodate the new feature with flexible material onhis back end to allow for fluid movement. And Keith’s tail loved to move, wrapping about Shiro’s waist or his forearm. Sometimes it did so on its own, shocking even Keith, and other times Keith just wanted to hold onto Shiro or makesure he was nearby.
Shiro loved to grab hold of it and tug when Keith started to run off todo something impulsive. Of course, Keith yelped, then hissed, but that was justpart of his charm.
Keith complained about the new tail in other ways, mainly how itbunched in his normal clothes. Lance helped, cutting holes in the back andpatching the bottoms, but it was a makeshift solution. Keith needed new pants.
So a trip to the space mall was in order.
Because Shiro didn’t attend their last venture and Keith had changedsince then, there was no reason to go incognito. Still, Shiro enjoyed dressingdown like he was back on Earth - jeans, a beanie, and a loose jacket. Keithconfiscated Lance’s hoodie to hide his ears and tail because he just wasn’t comfortablein his own fur yet.
But they’d get there. They would.
The outing was fun, more fun than Shiro remembered having in a longtime. Today, he and Keith weren’t Paladins of Voltron, entrenched in anintergalactic war with the universe’s greatest enemy. Today, they were devotedhusbands, out for a leisurely afternoon, and Shiro savored every second of it.
Keith and he wandered through the corridors, fingers threaded, Keith’s tailwrapped about Shiro’s waist. They meandered through the stores, trying on pantsand shirts, buying what they could with the few GAC they had.
They were going to stop at the food court to pick up a dish Hunkrequested when someone whispered, “…has got to be a model…”
“…think I saw him in the latest issue of Emperor’s Conquests.”
“Hey, isn’t that the Champion?”
“Uh, babe?” Shiro tugged his husband close to whisper in hisear. “I think we should go.”
“Hm?”
By the time he turned, a young Galra girl was waving at him – not Keith– though an older Galra with a leering smile spied Keith with elevator eyes. When he winked, Keith reached for his Bayard, but Shiro snatched his wrist.
“Come on. Let’s get out of – ” He stopped after barely takinga step as a female alien with big eyes and four arms jumped in front of them.
She reached out to Keith’s cheek, petting it with the back of her hand.“Oooh, you’re so soft…”
“Hey!” A male Galra swat her hand before Keith could cut itoff. “I’m claiming him.”
A different growl cut through, followed another, and another, and themall-goers began to form a circle about the paladins. A plethora of differentlifeforms –reptiles to birds to bats – gathered, though a majority were Galra. They started to whistle, howl, and cat call at Keith. Keith tensed againstShiro, his back pressed against Shiro’s, and when one Galra reached for Keith’stail, Keith dropped him in one fluid movement and dug his knee into the Galra’sback.
The motion freed Keith’s ears from Lance’s hoodie. The crowd gasped athis complete reveal, and even though Shiro woke up every morning to Keith’sstunning beauty, the sight still stole his breath.
When one of the Galra stepped forward, Shiro recovered and activatedhis hand. “Keith, time to go!”
The crowd parted then, shuttering at the sight of Shiro’s weapon, andas they fled, Shiro heard, “Of course the Champion claimed him as his own.”
Shiro growled bitterly. If anyone claimed someone, it was Keith who claimed him.
The crowd followed, racing after the retreating duo, but Shiro skiddedto a stop when a large security guard zipped in front of them, blocking theirpath. Keith hissed, ready to swipe with both his blades – this must have beenthe security guard the team encountered last time they stopped by the spacemall – but instead of yelling, the guard turned his speeder to allow Keith andShiro to board.
“Come on, Champion! I’ll save you and your boyfriend! Vrepit sa!”
When Shiro slumped, Keith patted his shoulder and jumped onto the backof the speeder. Shiro followed a moment later, and they zipped to safety.
“I knew you weren’t a traitor to the empire, Champion,” Varkon mutteredas he stopped behind their pod. “You just left the games to be with your lover, huh? Was he danger? Was he being held hostage? Did the captors want you to fixthe matches? Why didn’t you go to Emperor Zarkon for help?”
“I can take care of myself!” Keith shouted, to which Varkon eyed Shirosympathetically.
“Quite the handful, isn’t he?”
“The beautiful ones always are,” Shiro sighed dramatically.
Keith fumed and stomped to the pod’s pilot seat as Shiro loaded thebags into the back. When he came around to the front, Shiro sighed at Keith’sdrooping ears and melancholic expression. He knotted his and Keith’s fingerstogether once more and pressed a tender kiss to Keith’s knuckles.
“Hey. It’s okay. We’ll figure this out.”
“But Shiro – did you see? All those people, they wanted – ”
“—what they can’t have.” Shiro brushed Keith’s cheek and brought hislips close for a chaste kiss. “You’re mine, okay? And I’m not letting you go – ever.”
Keith’s trembling eyes sought his, searching for the confirmation inShiro’s soul as well as his words. Once Keith found it, he deflated physically, his tired body melting of tension. “Thanks, Shiro.”
“Hey, don’t thank me yet.” A sharp edge of warning infiltrated Shiro’stone. “I’ve been marked as a traitor of the empire, and you’ve been seen withme. That can’t be good.”
Keith shrugged and started the pod’s engines. “Please. Like anyone’sgoing to care about who the Champion is dating.”
And that’s what he believed – until they walked onto the bridge of theCastle of Lions to find the Paladins, Allura, and Coran watching what appearedto be a talk show on the large, transparent screen. Two Galra women chatted ona couch, and behind them was a picture of Keith and Shiro strolling through themall, Keith’s hood still up, Shiro’s arms wrapped about his waist from behind. Underneaththe picture flashed the words, “Champion Sighting! Who is the gorgeousgladiator seeing now?”
“We haven’t received confirmation yet,” one of the woman gushed, “butit’s believed the gladiator known as Champion escaped from the games and hastaken up residence with a model for Emperor’sConquests magazine.”
The other woman nodded and hummed. “And ding! Ding! Ding! Do I spy weddingrings?”
“Keep sending us those pictures and videos! We have a new one up now, showing tender moments of the Champion and his lover in the cockpit of theirescape pod.”
Keith groaned. Shiro cringed. Next to them, Lance wore a flatexpression, though his eyes shimmered with mischievous intent.
“So…how was your trip to the mall? Anything exciting happen?”
Shiro caught Keith mid-lunge.

How To Wear Puffer Jacket? 31 Chic Outfits With Puffer Jackets
How to Wear Puffer Jackets For Women? Oh the weather outside is frightful, but that doesn’t mean we can’t continue to look delightful (ly fashionable). Even when its bone-chilling cold with temperatures in the teens (bbbrrrr), many ladies really don’t want to skip fashion for warmth.
But we have very good news – it is possible to wear a puffer jacket and not look frumpy and out of style. Believe it or not, you can look and feel unstoppable in a puffer jacket. According to a recent Boston Globe piece, “Any woman who has shopped for a puffer understands there are tiny style distinctions that take on outsized importance, which sometimes allow a woman to think her coat is — however marginally — cute: The slightest shaping at the waist. A faux fur ruff around the hood. A sophisticated silhouette.“
What To Wear With Puffer Jackets
Here are more than two dozen ways to brave the elements this winter and remain super stylish while wearing a puffer jacket.
↓ 31. Go for the gold!
The Skyler down filled bomber jacket by Sam-NYC is crafted from a densely woven nylon. The surface has been treated to obtain a lacquered look. It is lightweight, yet protective of wind and water, and filled with goose down to achieve warmth and an ultra-soft feel. The jacket features a raccoon fur trimmed hood, center front zip closure with snap placket, 2 lower pockets, a knit waistband, and spandex thumbhole cuffs. This pretty little number will cost you a suggested retail price of $695.00.
↓ 30. Champagne Tastes on a Beer Budget
You can never go wrong in a neutral monochromatic coat, especially one that comes from H&M for as little as $124. Pair with asos high waist jeans, Nike air max thea sneakers, a.p.c geneve bag, and who what wear collection top. You’ll look like a million bucks while barely even trying. And have money left over to splurge on guilty little pleasures, like lattes, all month long.
↓ 29. Living in a Material World
How cool were the 1980’s?! Channelling Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Boy George & Culture Club. Life would be so much better if neon pink could reappear in every decade! This jacket brights up your complexion and turns you into a ray of sunshine. The best part is, it’ll be super easy to identify which coat is yours at the end of the night.
↓ 28. Jewel Tones
Sometimes we just need a break from basic black. Michael Kors understands this and offers this winter coat in rich jewelled hues which can easily be matched to your amethyst and emeralds. Treat yourself to a matching mani too! You’ll sparkle like the precious gem you are.
↓ 27. Go big or go home!
Stay toasty warm from head to toe. This belted “puffy compilation” from Imgur lets you flaunt your tiny waist and not look like a big shapeless blimb. Dress it up with pumps, boots with a kitten heel or keep your feet planted firmly on the ground in a pair of Uggs or fashionable kicks.
↓ 26. Show The World You Have the Winter Blues
The colour blue is having a moment in home décor. Pinterest boards full of cobalt blue kitchens. Fashion follows the interior design. Step out looking boho chic in this warm 90% duck down warm parka quilted coat. Best part if the removable scarf. On sale for only $125.55 at Boho Gipsy Store.
↓ 25. Sorry, I Wanted to Stay in Bed
For those cold, raw days when you really wish you could stay under your duvet covers, throw on this stunning coat from Add. Changing out of your oh so comfy pyjamas is optional.
↓ 24. Pinkies Up, Dutchess
Let them question if you’re part of the royal family in this majestic purple hooded winter white duck down jacket with natural fox fur collar. It’s even available in plus sizes. They will be shocked if you tell them it’s only $217.27 at AliExpress.
↓ 23. Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery
Wish your closet could be filled with Balenciaga, but worried if you can even afford this month’s rent payment? The Orolay is the thickened $100 down jacket that looks a little bit Balenciaga, a little bit Sacai, and is selling like hotcakes. I spotted three women checking into spin class on the upper east side of Manhattan, New York City this morning. Snag it for only $99 (was $250, now 60% off) at Amazon.
↓ 22. Keep Your Hands in Your Pockets
C’mon, admit it, what girl doesn’t go crazy when they realize their dress has actual pockets?!? The H-line Casual Pockets Hoodie Coat offers front pockets. What a score! Gloves optional. Did we mention this jacket has front pockets?!?
↓ 21. Eye See You
Ward away fromthe evil eye and make sure everyone is watching you closely while prancing through the streets in this very noticeable puffer from Rivaynyc.com | Rivay® Official. Pairs nicely with a classic Chanel bag. The girl who wears this is certainly an “It Girl” wanting to be viewed, admired, appreciated and remembered.
↓ 20. Headed to the Gym
Puffer jackets are the perfect way to winterize athleisure, which continues to be so in style right now. This Aritzia super puff jacket comes in so many different colors options. The key to styling the perfect puffer jacket is to get one that is slightly cropped, because it emphasizes your waistline and creates a feminine silhouette.
↓ 19. Wine Time
Easily a perfect jacket to throw on before a girl’s wine night out or meeting friends at the pub. Pairs well with black pants and heels. It’s practical and unfussy, even if you’re not.
↓ 18. Grading on a Bell Curve
This trusty quilted Alice + Olivia is by far my absolute favorite. The jacket means serious business both in terms of warmth and sensational style. The bell curve on the hips adds just the perfect amount of flounce and flair. A great pair of shoes is all that’s needed. What’s she’s wearing underneath is meaningless because this detailed jacket screams, “Here comes a fashion plate.”
↓ 17. Green with Envy
Strut yourself in a big bold emerald green jacket and skinny black stirrups. It’s almost possible to feel the heat radiating off of this classy lady. This seriously could be Meaghan Markle in her pre-Dutchess days. Do you see the resemblance?
↓ 16. It’s a Long Shot
The long puffer is a must-have staple in every female’s closet. It protects you all around, exposing only a tiny portion of your legs. Keep that part of your legs covered in heavy tights or thick wool pants. There’s no better option for those living in a city with lots of precipitation and/or low temperatures. Feel free to take a bold chance on your shoes and accessories since the majority of your body will be covered up the coat. Puffer coat + cropped jeans + ankle boots equals a winning equation every time. Now you do the math.
↓ 15. If You See a Shiny Penny, Pick it Up…All Day Long You’ll Have Good Luck
Glossy magazines will never be completely out of Vogue. There’s something so rich, luxurious, eye-catching and worthy of shine and that definitely includes shiny nylon down jackets. This is a bespoke shiny/PVC/vinyl down winter coat which is made of high-quality 4-way stretch vinyl. It has an oil slick look with really smooth touch (latex imitation). In a class by itself and not your usual nylon puffer. You may think it looks familiar because it mimics the Moncler style, but is much more glossy.
↓ 14. Even Runway Models Walk on Paved Streets
An eccentric design could really polish a plain, boring coat. Gigi Hadid provides us with some awesome tips with this bold, sassy and comfy puffer coat. Remember that you don’t have to put too much effort with your other clothing because the coat itself can do the magic. Just like that, you can look effortlessly chic.
↓ 13. Walk as if You are a Painting in a Museum
Patterns can be risky, but there’s just something so beautiful and unique about this White Floral Turtleneck Long Sleeve Coat. Definitely meant for the condifent fashionista who wants to stand out from the crowd and differ from the masses all huddled togethjer in their basic, boring, black winter gear.
↓ 12. Make Love, Not War
This camo puffer jacket from Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren Down Snorkel Jacket is guaranteed to keep you toasty warm. It’s also available in a men’s version, if you want to twin with your mate. Requires nothing more than a chic pair of jeans and rugged combat boots. Spend less time getting ready and much more fun having fun.
↓ 11. You’re Making Me Blush
Puffer jackets with a slim silhouette like this blush pink renew lightweight puffer jacket prove endlessly versatile. Simply toss it on over workout gear on your way to or from the gym, or style it with a sweater and your favorite jeans for the perfect, low-key weekend look. The mock neck collar complements so many different layers, from turtlenecks, to crewneck shirts, to button downs, to hooded sweatshirts. Add a little extra warmth on cooler days by wearing it over a simple cashmere sweater. Pure perfection.
↓ 10. Two Tone
This two tone puffer is so attractive and easy on the eye. Roll up the sleeves for an extra pop of color. I can’t help but wondering if it’s reversible. That would mean two fabulous coats for the price of one!
↓ 9. Mid-Length
Mid-length jackets can be worn by any type of individuals, whether you are a plus size or a petite woman. The length still keeps the whole ensemble more flattering because it provides a complimentary balance. She looks put together in a pair of black leggings, big handbag and eye-catchy boots.
↓ 8. It’s a Cinch
Puffer coats with belts are really attractive and convenient. You can manipulate the comfort and style level by adjusting the belt. This accessory promises that you will never have a hard time finding the perfect fit because the coat itself is adjustable. Zippers and belts are a fantastic combination to lay emphasis on your body.
↓ 7. If you got it, flaunt it!
From the upper to the bottom, you can certainly affirm that this girl knows how to style a puffer coat. The design of the top and the colors of the coat perfectly mesh together. And oh, the flare long jeans were ideal match to the mini short puffer jacket.
↓ 6. Don’t Skirt the Issue
One might wonder: can you pair a puffer jacket with a skirt? Apparently so! (All while keeping your legs warm too!)
↓ 5. Mad for Plaid
Plaid is always current. Bring it out for hayrides and bonfires in the crisp fall weather. Add a red or green scarf for a true festive holiday feel in December. Rest assured, you don’t look like a lumberjack. But you may just get picked up by one.
↓ 4. Got a Problem with the Paparazzi?
Hmmm, is it possible that the puffer coat has made its comeback courtesy of celebs being spotted in them right before stripping off for red carpet event to get photographed in their revealing dresses? Or, because it’s this jacket they choose to wear when running errands in cold temperatures and hiding from the paparazzi? Well… they’re obviously wearing them for style reasons.
↓ 3. Don’t Throw Shade at Me
What if I told you all you all need is a great pair of shades to compliment your puffer coat. So stick your chest out a bit more and stay incognito hidden behind a great pair of sunglasses that flatter your face.
↓ 2. Countdown to Spring
Better days are coming. They’re called spring and summer. Let winter know you are breaking up with him. Show him, it’s not you, but I’m gravitating towards warmer weather filled with lilacs and pretty flowers.
↓ 1. Invest in Your Future
If you can afford it, go above the budget and treat yourself to a timeless and classic beauty such as Moncler, Canada Goose, etc. Be vigilant about taking extra good care of it and plan to pass it along to your daughter once she’s grown into it. Because when your daughter covets your clothing, you know you’re a super cool mom! Now if only she could give you her perfect skin.
Bundle up, stay warm and have the best winter ever!

Animal Print!!! It’s everywhere from high end to low end. You have leopard, tiger, zebra, and snake print, you name it. The animal print hit the runway hard this fall. Your favorite celebrities such as Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez, Tami Roman, and many more have been seen wearing animal print designs. Yes, it is a really popular trend that is taking over this fall but let’s be real. Animal print has been with us for a long time, a wardrobe staple for many stylish women so don’t let the trend fool you.
This popular trend has been around since the 1920’s and stuck out on women’s fur coats. In the 30’s, women wore leopard as an accessory over their coats. It was very inconspicuous and wasn’t in your face. Entering the 40’s, the trend stuck out. The print became more bold and loud. People began seeing women in the 1940’s with the print on their evening-wear. It has been introduced in women’s clothing, but in the 1960’s, it was back to the accessories again but with a twist. Women were matching their hat with their coat or handbags with their coat. Closer the conclusion of the 60’s, the leopard print was being mixed with different textures. Two of the materials suede and fur were being combined. The 70’s leopard made a statement. It was done on a jumpsuit. Going forward, the leopard print was everywhere such as dresses, belts, pants, and shoes. You name it. The print is such a classic piece to own.
I want to force on the leopard print for this post on you. Leopard is my favorite because of the designs and how great it looks with different prints and colors.
Look 1
Vintage!!! I love vintage. My favorite vintage garment is this dress in my closet for its design. It has little gold sparkles on it, a mock design, and it’s sexy on me. Haha, I am too much but your clothing has to make you feel great. I wanted to keep it classy with red and black the way many of us wear it. I went with this faux leather jacket. I had this faux leather for many years and it is one of my go-to pieces. It always makes my outfit look on point. My pop of color is this red bag with gold chain handles.
Dress: Vintage (Seller: Muneca_Mullins ) Faux leather jacket: Wet Seal Shoes: Express Bag: Express Chain Handle Bucket Bag
Look 2
Work on Saturday! Weather! Blah! But that didn’t affect my mood for this outfit. I went with this lovely leopard print sweater super comfortable, soft, and warm. I wanted to play with the tan and black colors of the sweater. It’s faux suede and real suede, such a classic garment to have in your closet. I wanted to play with the texture as they did in the late 60’s. So I went with this faux suede rust-colored skirt and jacket to pair with this sweater. It is about being comfortable while on my feet at the workplace, so these chocolate brown boots were a match made in heaven.
Sweater: Target Leopard Print Pullover Sweater Skirt: Thrift (Store: Beacon’s Closet Brand: French Connection) Stocking: Unknown Shoes: DSW Bag: Vintage Dooney and Bourke (Seller: Gibson Girl Vintage )
The second way I would wear this sweater is casual, you can rock it with jeans. Listen, I live in jeans. When I tell you, I live in jeans; I really do. I have skinny jeans, distressed jeans, cropped jeans, ankle jeans, and many more styles. I own lower ends brands to high-end retail. So rock it with your favorite jeans and kicks! Better off, toughen up the look with a leather jacket or keep it classy with a trench coat.
Look 3
What best way to rock a trend if you aren’t sure about? Focus on the accessories or footwear! It is super easy to wear. You can wear accessories with all black, brown, and red. You have a lot of options when wearing trends. Why not rock it on a pair of sneakers like I did. I went with navy blue ankle pants with a black turtleneck top. You know how I feel about black and blue together. Such a lovely combination! I threw on my plaid coat to keep my butt warm because it was freezing. I played with the colors from the coat so this vintage white bag would pop.
Shoes: Target Sneakers A New Day Top: Women Turtleneck top Pants: Thrift store (Store: Housing Works) Hat: Women’s Brim Fedora Wool Flat Top Hat Bag: Vintage Bag from The Crulook
Look 4
We have a contemporary dress that features leopard print. I made the decision to mixed prints here. Yes! You can mix animal print with other print but I like to keep it in the same color family so it doesn’t look like a hot mess. Your neutral colors are black, brown, and navy so I treat these colors like my neutrals. I went with this blazer which I purchased from a thrift shop. It is a striped blazer, dark gray in color, and a bit of white. The white t-shirt helps bring out the white in the blazer. It was a lovely day but I felt cold so I wore over the knee boots and a black hat.
Dress: Target Wild Fable T-shirt: Women T-shirt Boots: Express Blazer: Thrift Store: Housing Works Hat: Women Belt Buckle Fedora Hat
Look 5
Jeans!!! My favorite garment! Like I always say, “I live in jeans”. I have jeans that are black and olive color and another pair in burgundy. After the big snow disaster on Thursday, I didn’t want to wear anything much and I needed to go to the Post office. I wanted to keep warm with this fleece coat. It looks like an olive in my house so but brown in the photos. It is a mystery what color the jacket is. As for my pop of color, I wore this yellow scarf.
Sweater: Express Jeans: Express Mid Rise Leopard Stretch Ankle Leggings Coat: Unique Shoes: Target Combat Boots – Universal Thread Scarf: Express Chunky Fringe Oblong Scarf Bag: Vintage Gucci
Look 6
I went with a boyfriend style leopard top. It is oversized and perfect. I kept it simple. I feel that with leopard you can go simple and mix it with a statement piece or go bold. It is really up to you. I kept the bottom tight with my skinny jeans since everything on top is big and oversized. I didn’t want to lose myself. As always red does so well with this print.
Top: Express Large Pocket Boyfriend Shirt Jeans: KUT FROM THE KLOTH DIANA RELAXED FIT SKINNY Coat: Uniqlo Faux Shearling Hooded Coat Shoes: Express Hat: Forever21 Mickey Mouse Bag: Express Chain Handle Bucket Bag
Look 7
Ok!!! I really need to stop shopping at Target but I can’t help it just like with vintage shopping and thrifting. A great way to wear this trend is to wear it with outerwear garments. This leopard print is gray and black in color. Let’s make this stand out by keeping everything muted in this outfit and wearing all black with different texture.
Coat: Target (Similar design but different style: Target Leopard Print Wrap Coat – A New Day) Jeans: TJ Maxx Top: H&/M Bag: Vintage Dooney and Bourke (Seller: Gibson Girl Vintage)
I hope I inspired you to try the print. Here are some of the ways I wear leopard.
**Any links that start with Amazon, I do earn a small commission when you purchase it through them or from my store front. If you don’t feel comfortable purchasing I completely understand and you can easily research the items on google. Thank you so much!
