Entirely too trusting, Tobirama took the small marble cup from Izuna's hand and tasted the sake before delivering a reply, " your frequency with offering me alcohol on the job should be studied. " Not that he's ever denied it much these days. Tiny annoyances stacked up, after all.

Another larger sip went down smooth and it burned just enough to snap him out of this stressing stupor. He shouldn't become reliant on this.

" Where you have been all evening? " he passes the cup back for seconds, " doing this? "

[HETCH grips the edge of his mask and pulls. It holds fast. Pulls harder. Pain, tearing- something wet drips down his face. It holds. He is not quite strong enough.]

[Slowly, painfully, he lifts his other arm. He hasn’t breathed - he knows he will scream if he does. Grip. Pull. Tear. His shoulder throbs, burns and bleeds. Not enough. Harder.]

[HETCH jerks his arms downwards one final time, and the mask comes away in his hands along with the majority of his facial skin and several shreds of muscle.]

[He sinks, choking and shaking uncontrollably, to the floor. His eyes are open. He cannot see through the blood.]

[I… Earned this.]
