I wasn’t really planning on uploading this Thursday and this isn’t what I was supposed to write lmao, my mind is all over the place for the past few days due to 1D’s 10 year anniversary but oh well, here I am, waiting for Zayn to say something... anyway HAPPY 10 YEARS guys! More power to our family! Gosh I feel so old!

"I'm almost done with the frosting babe!", you yelled from the kitchen hoping your boyfriend can hear you from his room upstairs. Slowly but surely, you wrote the delicate letters on the cake you made just for this occasion, "10 Years of One Direction".

"Come quick!", you heard footsteps descending from the stairs, "I'm done upstairs love, just gotta bring up the drinks.", Harry kissed your cheeks as he brushed passed you and opened the fridge to get some soda.

"Don't forget the wine. Is the laptop set up?", you asked finishing off the lettering with three exclamation marks.

"It's all done Y/N", your boyfriend laughs at you, "you're much more stressed than me! Loosen up lovie", he winked at you and run back upstairs. You just rolled your eyes and smiled.

You carefully placed the cake on the clean counter and cleaned up your mess. 30 minutes before midnight and you're not on your decent clothes yet!

Now, it's not exactly your fault why you're doing the cake this late. Your boyfriend thought that you made 2 cakes as that's what you both talked about but you decided to just make one and completely forgot to tell him.

You woke up nearing lunch - making a checklist on the things you need to get done for the day as preparation. Quickly eating breakfast (more like brunch) Harry made and started cleaning his room and did his laundry.

You often spend the night at his house so doing the domestic stuff for him is not much of a big deal to you. You basically live here anyway - but today needs extra work.

Around 2 p.m., you started to make the base of the cake as Harry leaves to go to the gym. You finished it, deciding to make the frosting later, and took a nap.

You woke up around 7 p.m., just in time to make dinner. On your way to the kitchen, you can hear H humming, something he does when he's alone. You smiled at the thought, cannot hold back yourself from kissing your boyfriend welcome so you run to where he is - quickly stopping in your track once you see him.

"Hi baby! The cake tastes so good, it'll be phenomenal with your frosting", you saw Harry eating the base of the cake smiling at you. You don't know how to react. Your mind working miles per minute.

"Har- i- babe! I only made one!"

"What do you mean you only made one, lovie?", Harry asked still eating the cake.

"I got tired earlier and just decided to make one...", face-palming yourself for your own carelessness.

"Oh shi- I, we can make another one! I'll make it! I'm so sor-",

"It's alright", you rounded the counter and kissed his messy lips, "I'll make another one, you can finish this one", you smiled reassuringly at him and squeezing his shoulder quick.

"I'll make our dinner, yea?", he offered. You can tell that he feels bad about eating the cake but it's really not a big deal at all. It's food, you're raised to share food and not spoil it. Plus you couldn't really be mad at Harry as he is your boyfriend and it's his special day in a few hours.

"Of course, I'll just start on a new batch.", you kissed Harry once again as you both started working in the kitchen.

Placing the mixture in the oven, the two of you eat the dinner around 8 p.m., Harry made your favorite Alfredo pasta knowing that he's trying to make it up to you.

Both of you being the slowest eater that you are, spent more than an hour eating - always teasing and flirting to each other like it's still the early stages in your relationship.

You told H to get his room ready and that you'll do the dishes instead and a little past 10 p.m., you're only starting on the mixture of the frosting.

Now, finally, you're ready to head upstairs and change into much cleaner clothes. Delicately holding the cake and walking slowly, you finally made it to Harry's room.

It looked like a huge fort, with his bed full of pillows and snacks and his laptop connected to the t.v. with their old music videos playing. You never pictured your boyfriend as the fairy lights type of guy but oh well this night, he is.

His room looks and feels really cozy, he even got balloons on his ceiling and the banner you made a few days ago is hung near his headboard.

You saw your boyfriend fixing the plastic table on the room where more snacks and utensils are placed. As if he can feel your presence, he looked back to the door where you are standing and quickly getting the cake off your hands to place on the table.

"Go get changed love, might as well binge on our old videos while waiting for them.", you only noticed that your boyfriend is already dressed for the occasion.

You forced him to wear their 1D merch with you. He is currently sporting a 1D pajama set, a Liam socks, and a Zayn beanie.

"You look cute babes!", you teased him and run to the bathroom to take a quick shower. You can hear him laughing at you and saying something sounding like "love her to death".

You changed to your own 1D pajama set matching with H and putting on a Narry socks and a Louis beanie and exiting his bathroom.

Harry is singing along to Perfect when you entered his room. You plopped into his bed and cuddled him.

"Ready?", you asked him giddily as you went to his laptop to open the zoom app.

"One kiss and I'm ready.", he winked at you and hugged you from behind. You shrugged him as a joke and pecked his nose.

After connecting his laptop on zoom, you both went back to bed and wait for the others. One by one, the other guys started joining the meeting.

"Harry! Y/N! Man, how's everything?", Liam greeted both of you with Bear on his lap. The three of you are in the middle of your conversation when another user joined in.

"Oi! What's up fuc- oh sh- sorry!", Louis raised his hand as he saw Bear on Liam's screen. El only laughed at her boyfriend and started talking with the rest of you.

Niall joined a bit later speaking without a sound. The rest of you reckoned that he's having a hard time setting up his zoom app until another user joined, and that's when Niall's audio started working.

"Ello lads! And ladies! And baby!", Niall cooed at Bear while Bear only stared at the web came, shyly.

"Sorry guys! Z is still in the bathroom! You know him!", the very pregnant Gigi joined the meeting as the others started talking to each other. You haven't met her in person so you're fangirling over her. Harry squeezed you to his side and laughed at you lightly.

"Hello hello!", at 11:59, Zayn finally appeared on the screen, Louis cheering for his best friend's appearance.

Everyone started talking, Bear being taken away to sleep after a few minutes.

"Was gonna egg your houses, except yours - Harry and Zayn. Liam and Niall, you keep dropping hints fooking hell!", Louis exclaimed while everyone laughed at him.

"I mea-"

"Shut up Liam!", Liam only laughed and put his hands in the air at Lou's antics.

"Harry, Y/N, you two looked like you really planned this!", Gigi complimented you both while you blushed whispering a thank you.

"She forced me to wear this! And look at her socks!", H raised your foot so the others can see it.

"Awe Y/N this is why I love youuu", Niall teased you. You haven't recovered from Gigi, now there's another teasing!

"Leave m’ girl alone! She's fangirling over Gigi!", you nudge Harry's ribs hard, feeling so embarrassed.

"Oh gosh, that's cute! I wanna meet you in person! I've already met El when we did this photoshoot, right El?", Gigi enthusiastically said as Zayn rubs his girlfriend's belly.

"Yes! We have to hang out! Ni and Li! Make sure your girlfriends join us!", Eleanor looks so happy and it makes you wonder how she does it in the midst of all the hate she receives. You and Harry aren't public yet and it makes you think of what will happen when you do.

"Harry keep it in your pants!", Lou suddenly shouted when he saw your boyfriend staring at you.

"M not doing an-"

"Baby fever man!", Niall laughed at Harry for being so obvious. You're so embarrassed at this point so Harry just flexed his room and the cake you made to remove turn the attention away from the both of you.

"Man, how do you think they'll react to the Infinity video?", Niall asked.

"Gonna be a blast, they don't know that Zayn had a part!", your boyfriend exclaimed beside you while everyone agrees. Within the next few hours, different websites will premier it and everyone can hardly wait.

Everyone stayed up until 5 a.m. catching up and reminiscing until they have to forcefully go to sleep for later. They can't wait to see each other for the interview with BBC where they'll be announcing their plans.

Each said goodbyes with a promise to arrive early to spend more time together before the taping starts at 12 p.m.

You and Harry both went to the bathroom to brush your teeth, Harry staring at you through the mirror as you did so.

"Mhve iwn wifh mo."

You rinsed your mouth with the water and replied, "what? I couldn't exactly understand you baby."

Harry finished rinsing his mouth, "I said move in with me... please."

"I- Harry re you sure? I mea-"

"Yes, I am! You're basically living here anyway! I want to take the next step with you.", he tried to woo you while hugging you in front of the mirror.

You nod and said yes. Turning around to kiss him.

"I love you", he said.

"Love you more", you kissed him once more, "Let's head to bed! You gotta be up nice and fresh for later," you tugged his hands towards his room and settled down.

“I always look good babyyy...”, and as much as you wanted to fight your boyfriend, he looks really cuddly now.

“Yes, you do, got a killer genes and all”, you run your hands through his hair smiling softly at him, as you felt your eyes became heavy.

“You do too! Our kids gonna have badass looks!"

“You definitely go a baby fever huh? Let's focus on your interview tomorrow first, yeah?”, you hugged him tight and tickled the back of his neck.

H only laughed, "Definitely got one, wanna be a father to our kids but I also can't wait for our fans to know what we're up to!", Harry placed his head on the crook of your neck.

“Good thing I want you to be the father of my future kids then... and tomorrow, they’re gonna love it! Gonna be thrilled about your announcement! Everyone’s been waiting for it! Happy 10 years again, so proud of you and everyone behind your band's success."

“Thank you lovie", Harry replied as he kissed your neck.

With that, you kissed his forehead goodnight and made sure your alarm is on to start the day.

The Lost Ones Ch. 1

Chapter 1: Illegal Clones and Legal Crimes

Summary: Anti liked joking around, he likes pulling pranks and bothering Dark now that he’s permanently moved into Egoton. But one day he decides to take the joke too far, and it gets about five times more unfunny. But when it’s all said and done, Dark had to admit . . . he is charming.

A/N: someone requested this little joke about Dark being short and so I threw it in here.

~::~ Twenty Years Ago ~::~

It began as things tended to begin with Anti: jokes.

“Hey, Dark,” Anti had burst into Dark’s main office to bother him, again.

“Leave,” Dark told him, not looking up.

“What’dya get when yah combine you an’ Wilford?” Anti sounded like he was trying to keep himself from cackling madly.

“I don’t care,” Dark told him.

“A hot mess,” Anti joked. Usually when Dark didn’t respond he used about anything to try and get his attention.

“If you need a body disposed of, I’m not helping,” Dark warned.

“Yer just no fun,” Anti sulked.

“I’m busy,” Dark reminded. “It’s bad enough I have to put up with Wilford’s antics, I refuse to humor you as well.”

Anti then attempted to stab Dark and the ensuing fight got rid of some of Anti’s pent up energy. It also got the glitch thinking: what would Dark or Wil’s kid be like?

He imagined Dark’s kid would probably be a lot like Dark was, about ZERO fun, and in about six years when he saw Kay and Illinois for the first time he would learn he was right.

But Wil’s kid: that had to be an interesting kid. Wil was mad fun, a complete and utter lunatic, there was no way he couldn’t pass that down to a kid. And fortunately for Anti, Wil was a prolific nymphomaniac. He had to have some kid, somewhere. There was no way the Wilford that Anti knew hadn’t had sloshed, unprotected sex at least once in his life. Everyone in the crime world knew that while Dark and Wil were Ego’s big couple, Wil slept around.

After a month, Anti gave up looking for the brat, either Dark had tried to clean up Wil’s extra-relationship affairs before they could bear fruit, or the kid had been hidden from Dark.

Another couple of weeks passed and his brain came up with a stupid idea: why not clone the assholes? Cut out the middleman. It was probably their only way someone was even going to get an ankle biter out of Dark in the first place.

But, as it turned out, cloning someone was way harder than Anti thought it would be. He needed people to do the cloning, a safe place for them to work. And after Google joined Dark, Anti had to avoid his prying eye because that walking laptop told Dark everything.

The eggheads he’d threatened found had been excited about the process, but hesitantly optimistic about their chances. But either way they’d need a test and Anti shrugged his shoulders and knew he couldn’t get any of the conventional ways to make a kid from Dark at least without getting his head blown off for even suggesting it.

They needed a test and Wil was the easy option.

“So wait?” Wil was already wasted, the slur in his speech even more pronounced after enough margaritas and martinis to kill a normal man, the two were sitting in a private room at some bar, Anti figured the mad man probably wouldn’t remember this come morning. “You need m’ what?”

“Yer aura,” Anti was admittedly a bit buzzed himself, electricity literally arching off of him in some spots. “I mean the docs will prolly use whate’er but I just wanna see what yer aura does if we pick it apart.”

Will just shrugged, and either he didn’t care or was too drunk to care, but he set his arm on the table and whipped out the stiletto knife he usually hid in the garter on his right thigh and ran it down his arm until he randomly stopped. Wil picked something up and a whirling mass of pink and yellow came off.

The mad man held it out. “Here yah go.”

Anti hesitantly grabbed it, it felt like the consistency of cotton candy, but had almost a soapy, saccharine, bubble gum. And to Anti something about it felt twisted and fake.

But by this point Anti knew Wilford was incapable of keeping secrets when he was this sloshed. Wil had already slipped some pretty spicy secrets about what he and Dark did in the bedroom that had Anti demanding that he wanted literal brain bleach to get out of his mind.

So Anti took it and let Wil try his hand at drunken flirting, leaving to go back to his lab coats to see what they could do with it.

And to everyone’s surprise, the aura was reacting to stuff, almost like it was a living organism or a parasite that lived within Wil’s soul and it was very choosy about what it let them stick onto it. Despite the fact that it just sat there and did nothing.

It looked a bit like a slug after it had stopped moving, a pink and yellow swirling slug.

At this point Anti had honestly forgotten about cloning Dark, the glitch demon wanted to see their auras fighting. He wanted to watch Wil and Dark’s auras tear each other apart.

So it was time to get Dark’s aura, but Anti couldn’t just ask the Entity for it, no! He knew that there was no force on earth or Hell that would get Dark to willingly give Anti his aura for his death matches. So he’d have to take a chunk off by force.

It took a week of stalking Dark before he finally got his chance, and Anti was just about ready to fight Dark himself but as luck and fate would have it, Dark decided to got out hunting.

The Entity was stalking a couple gangsters when Anti decided to make his move. They were a local group Anti liked to pick on from time to time, so they were a tiny bit smarter than some of the other groups that had tried and died taking Dark on as if he was Deceit.

When Dark folded himself out of one of the alley shadows, one of the gangsters froze, watching Dark snap his own neck like the drama queen he was.

“Huh,” the braver of the three gangsters realized. “Yer shorter than me.”

Anti almost blew his cover trying to stifle his own laughter. Dark looked insulted and infuriated. “Excuse you‽”

“Sorry,” the guy was over six feet tall, but not more than half a foot taller than Dark or Anti. “I just figured “the Demon of Egoton” would be more demon-like, an’ bigger.”

Dark seemed to get angrier, and Anti was trying to stop himself from laughing so much that he almost missed his chance.

The Entity’s aura shot out and grabbed onto the gangster, one of his friends tried to shoot Dark but it was stopped by another part of Dark’s aura. It began to ruthlessly tear into the gangster and his friends. “I’m not too short to kill you!”

Anti lunged for Dark, managing to get his claws into Dark’s aura. The demon screamed out, in screeching pain. “I’ll be takin’ some ‘a that.”

“ANTI! I will tear you apart so thoroughly that no force in Hell can piece you back together again!” Dark was furious, the gangster that were lucky enough not to get struck by Dark’s rampaging aura were forgotten.

Anti raced off, running into the Void and trying to keep the writhing mass that was Dark’s aura away from the other demon. It was consciously trying to get back to Dark, or to kill Anti, the glitch demon wasn’t sure which and he didn’t particularly care at the moment. He was just trying to get away from Dark to keep him from taking his aura back.

Eventually Anti did get away, it was more luck that anything else. But when the coast was clear Anti returned to the scientists, covered in his own blackish, glitching, ichor blood and holding out the angry, hissing fragment of Dark’s aura.

“Is that thing hissing?” The lead scientist asked, her curly light brown hair barely tied out of the way. Anti had completely forgotten all their names at this point. He was pretty sure it was Beautiful or Bunny or some weird French name he couldn’t pronounce.

“Yeah,” Anti smiled, “let’s throw this bastard in with Wil’s and see if they kill each other.”

“Is that still alive after you disconnected that from him?” She was staring at it like it was a scientific marvel.

“Well yeah,” Anti gestured as he spoke, “Wilf’s just got a weird aura. Most ‘a our auras are like this caustic fooker’s.”

Quickly the scientist grabbed a container, the same type they put Wil’s in and Anti poked at Dark’s aura with his own, trying to get it especially angry.

“Okay, Bunny let’s get this show on the road,” Anti dusted off his hands.

“It’s Beauregard,” she corrected sharply, fixing her glasses as she held onto the container with one hand.

“Ahh, whatever,” Anti dismissed, smiling. “I wanna see that prick’s aura get shredded.”

Beauregard stopped as they entered another room, Anti moving through the wall. “Hold up, if we put them together are they going to just rip each other apart?”

Anti shrugged, “I mean, Dark’s an angry fooker an’ Wil’s aura is infectious, they gotta do somethin’ cool to each other.”

Beauregard and Anti’s conversation came to a halt when they heard some yelling in the next room. She ran ahead, yelling, “What is going on in here?”

“I don’t know,” one of the technicians looked panicked. He and another technician were trying to keep Wil’s aura in the container it was in, the aura was bubbling and foaming, making a weird noise, Dark’s one aura was letting out that high pitched echo that Dark was infamous for. It cause more than one person to look around wildly for the demon to suddenly appear. It almost seemed like the fragment of Dark’s aura was shaking. The entire container Dark’s aura was in almost fell out of Beauregard’s arms. The result was the two auras seeming to square up against each other as if they were going to fight.

Anti was almost cackling, rubbing his hands together, “Come on Bubbles, fook ‘im up. I got a fiver on yeh.”

Wilford’s aura lunged again and suddenly it was inside the same container as Dark’s. The ringing became more intense.

Beauregard jumped, letting out this surprised scream. Then the ringing stopped when Wilford’s aura just parked itself next to Dark’s and they both calmed down. No one in the room moved, not wanting to set off either of their test subjects. Beauregard watched in awe as Dark’s aura changed from an inky grey to a mix of blue and red, the colors changing between the two but never mixing. It was more blue than red at the moment.

“Oh yeh sappy bastards,” Anti cursed, stomping over. “Come on, I wanted a cage match!”

“I thought we were cloning demons?” Beauregard asked him, most of her attention was on the little aura samples.

“Ehh, I’m already bored, tell me when they actually start doin’ somethin’ interesti’,” Anti dismissed, and then he left.

But when he was fully gone he stuck his head back in, “An’ by that I mean they set themselves on fire or start shootin’ acid.”

“Right, right, of course,” Beauregard agreed, holding up the container and smiling. Even if they failed, she was going to learn some amazing things about auras.

While Beauregard was planning, Anti had already gone back to Brighton to start terrorizing people again.

He was almost immediately found by Dark who demanded the shredded off piece of his aura back, he could grow it back on his own, of course, but didn’t like the idea of Anti having it.

So when Anti couldn’t produce the missing piece of Dark’s aura, the fight resulted in Anti being turned into pixels and Dark walking off with a broken arm and five broken ribs — not that Dark told anyone about the broken bones.

It took him a week to reform. By then he’d actually forgotten he’d gotten a team to do the actual cloning.

After months and months and months, they called him to say they’d “finally gotten a live one” and Anti couldn’t pass up the opportunity to watch Egoton burn.

After all, what could be more destructive than Wilford’s madness with Dark’s power?

MC Profile / Harry / The Assistant

Thanks so much to Court @heart-attack-harry again for tagging me to do this fun little character challenge, and this time for the point of view of my character, Harry, from where I’m currently in my story, The Assistant! This was a lot of fun, I enjoyed picking Harry’s brain hehehe.

Rules: Choose a few favourite photos/aesthetics of your tagged character, answer the questions below from their point of view and tag some characters/authors you would love to see answer next!

1. How do you display affection? What’s your love language? Well, I don’t think ‘m very good at showin’ affection in general or thru words, but ‘m tryna get betta at it. ‘d reckon I show affection by spendin’ time with that person, through touch like hugs, rubbin’ their back, squeezin’ their hand or arm, ticklin’ ‘em, sumtimes gifts, and ‘specially by payin’ all o’ me attention t’ ‘em when we’re talkin.’ I think I like t’ receive love in any o’ these ways, but quality time and touch ‘specially, which may be surprisin’ t’ some people who know me, and othas not so much.

2. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Bloody hell, if I thought ‘bout it long enough, I could come up with a list a mile long. Hmmm, tha thing ‘d like t’ change most ‘bout meself is I wish I wasn’t so scared all tha time, and that ‘d be mo’ willin’ t’ take risks without bein’ afraid o’ it turnin’ out badly. I also wish I was betta at sayin’ what I feel when I feel it.

3. What’s your ideal Saturday morning? My ideal Saturday mornin’ would start with a cup o’ coffee and prolly a doughnut which ‘ve been likin’ recently with me coffee. Then a nice slow start t’ me mornin’, preferably watchin’ a li’l news or a fav’ tv show, and mos’ likely playin’ guitar at tha same time. I prefer t’ sleep in, but afta so many years o’ wakin’ up at tha crack o’ dawn, I can neva get meself t’ sleep in past like nine, ‘s rubbish.

4. What is your drink of choice? Non alcoholic? Alcoholic? My drink o’ choice tends t’ be a coffee, and these days, I drink it black. I used t’ like macchiatos and sumtimes I have one, but they’re too sweet sumtimes. I guess ‘m gettin’ old and borin,’ it even shows in how I take me coffee, and how 'm always drinkin’ water. Othawise, I have a tea e’ry once inn’a while. Then if ‘s past five in tha evenin’, sumtimes ‘ll have a few fingas o’ tequila or whiskey, or a mixed drink with eitha. Sumtimes a Guiness ‘s good, and ‘ll take a beer if that’s all me mate has, or those sissy wine coolers I used t’ get Becks. But I try not t’ go too far, ‘cept tha occasional night out with’a mate. Unsurprisingly, Rory always manages t’ get me drunk, I dunno why I keep goin’ out fer drinks with him knowin’ that’s what’ll happen. I had a bit o’ a problem afta Becks left with drinkin’, but I gott’a handle onnit and don’t drink as much anymo’.

5. How competitive are you? Blimey, ‘m far too competitive fer me own good sumtimes. I guess I found tha perfect profession fer it, bein’ a lawyer. I always wanna win me cases, but ‘s humbled me ova tha years o’ practicin’ that ya can’t win ‘em all. Myles eggin’ me on doesn't help eitha, or bloody Rory. ‘s even worse when we work a case togetha, and then we’re mos’ likely buttin’ heads tha whole time, hence why we rarely work togetha onn’a case.

6. When did you last have sex? Fook, these questions keep gettin’ worse, don’t they? Um, this ‘s gonna take me a while t’ rememba . . . It was prolly a few months befo’ I broke up with Amber. She was always gone towards tha end and we were fightin’, and I jus’ didn’t feel that way ‘bout her anymo’. Fookin’ hell, that’s bleedin’ ova two years ago now, ‘m pathetic.

7. What is your idea of a perfect date? Um, ‘m not very picky when it comes t’ a date, I don’t think. ‘Course I want it t’ be perfect, ‘specially if ‘s early on in tha relationship. I think a nice dinna out would be nice with some good drinks, but ‘d be happy cookin’ fer sumbody and watchin’ a film on tha sofa togetha. I reckon as long yer comfortable with tha otha person and yer havin’ fun, that’s all that really mattas. I admit I do like t’ impress at first tho’, and take ‘em out for a nice meal.

8. What is your most treasured possession? ‘d hafta say me most prized possession may be my leather journal that I write in often, but not much lately, unfortunately. I just kinda write whateva’s on me mind or songs ‘ve written, which also reminds me my Gibson acoustic ranks fairly close t’ bein’ me most prized possession. ‘s been with me through a hell o’ a lot and holds loads o’ memories fer me seein’ me late granddad gave it t’ me as it was once his. Becks even tried t’ play it once and my was that hilarious, and fookin’ cute. ‘d sure like t’ see her try it ‘gain. Ya can’t tell if you’ll fall in love with ‘em, coz that takes far mo’ than jus’ seein’ ‘em fer tha first time. I do think meetin’ fer tha first time can be tellin’ tho’, and ya sure as hell can tell if yer attracted t’ ‘em from tha first sight o’ ‘em. I think tha closest thing t’ love at first sight ‘ve had was ratha promisin’, and it happens nearly e’ry time I see her too, God. “Careful! If Alex catches you there, he will kill ME!” Charlie laughs, climbing down from the top of the ladder, “Calm down, Niall. I’m fine, tha’ holidays display is perfect now and I’m absoluteleh fine.” Niall’s face blanches and she turns to find Alex behind her, “Charlotte, weh’ve talked about this, love!” Charlie wraps her arms around his neck, getting as close as to him her bump would allow, “I just ‘ad to fix a tiny display fing.” Alex holds her by the waist, “Yeh are bloody pregnant, my love, yeh shouldn’t be climbing no ladders.”

Charlotte kisses him and Alex can’t resist, no matter how worried he gets, when Charlie is in his arms all is right again, “C’mon love, weh ‘ave to get goin’ or weh’ll miss our train.” Alex nods, completely wrapped around her finger, “Thank yeh for covering the store through Christmas, Niall. Are yeh sure yehr mum won’t come after meh for keeping ‘er son away from home on Christmas?” The blonde laughs nervously, folding the ladder, “No, I’m… I’m spending it with Phillip here in London.” Charlie smiles brightly, “I see now, yous two ‘ave fun then.” She winks, causing Niall to blush furiously, and then she looks down to her stomach, “You better not get aneh ideas, mister. You’ll bring your partner or whomever you want, but yeh’ll alwaehs spend Christmas wiv yehr mum and da.”

Alex shakes his head at the sight, but truly he couldn’t be happier. This was what he’d always wanted and if he had to be honest there were moments where his mind would drift off into a scary place where he didn’t feel like he could handle all of it, a marriage and a kid, so fast. Thankfully Charlie was always there to pull him out of his own head, quite literally sometimes, “Alexaaander, the train.” Charlie has a cocky smile on her lips, the knowing look that told him she knew exactly what had been happening in his brain.

“Take care of my first born, Ni! I believe in you!” The blond laughs, clutching a pile of books to his chest, as he watches Charlie wrap a scarf around Alex’s throat and while the rockstar picks up their suitcases, dragging them to the awaiting cab. It’s a true movie scene, Charlie with her long cheetah print scarf flowing in the wind, fretting over the bags positisions, and Alex laughing so carefree, his long coat’s flaps swaying as he winds his arms around Charlie and pulls her into a kiss, both giddy as their lips meet.

“Oi, wot yeh doing?” Alex interjects as Charlie removes her engagement ring, looping it in her necklace chain and tucking it inside her blouse for safekeeping, “Love, if weh want to keep the engagement a secret for a little while longer the ring won’t ‘elp at all.” After Charlie’s proposal Alex rushed to Tiffany’s with Miles and got her a proper ring, a classic round cut diamond with a smaller sapphire on either side that fit Charlie’s finger perfectly, “But yeh like the ring, reight? ‘Cause there were so maneh choices, a-and Miles ‘elped meh, but I can get anotha one…”

Charlie takes his hands in between hers, gripping them soothingly and pulling him against her, “Alex babeh, I love the ring, it’s perfect. I joost fink it’s best to not just show up to our parents and be like, ‘yo, weh’s engaged!’” Alex laughs at her attempt at street talk, smoothing down a strand of Charlie’s hair, “I love yeh, tha’ knows?” She nods and kisses his lips softly, relishing the feeling of his chapped lips against hers, “I love yeh too, now quit worrying about the ring, I’m in this for the long run regardless of aneh ring.” Alex grins at her, cheeks flushed either from emotion or from the cold wind blowing at the train station, “Meh beautiful Charleh.”

He leans in again, rubbing his cold nose against Charlie’s, who giggles at the feeling, “Oi love birds, yehr carriage is ‘ere.” Alex looks up to find Jamie leaning against his car, arms folded in front of his chest, and flips him off before kissing Charlie passionately. Charlie pulls away, giggling at Alex’s silly behaviour, “Ei, don’t piss meh favourite Cookie off like tha’.” Jamie meets them, taking one of the bags in his hand as Charlie envelops him in a tight hug, which he reciprocates with one arm, “ ‘ey Charleh, ‘ow you doin’?” Charlie smacks her lips against Jamie’s ruddy cheeks.

“Absoluteleh fantastic, Cookie!” Jamie shakes his head, giving Alex an one armed hug, “Wot did yeh give ‘er?” Alex’s eyes sparkled at the sight of Charlie’s giddiness as she walked towards Jamie’s car, “My ‘eart, mate.” The blond smiles and wraps an arm around his friend’s shoulders, leading him to the car. “Where are yeh two staying? Yehr mum, Al?” Charlie hadn’t made up with Emily yet where she would usually stay, she was hoping the Christmas spirit would soften Emily’s hard set stance on Alex.

“Meh nanna’s, Jamie. Weh, weh ‘ad a couple fings fixed so weh ‘ave our own place ‘ere.” Charlie turns to the back, taking him hand and blowing him a kiss, she knew how hard it was for Alex to come to terms with his grandma’s death and the fact that they would be making her house their home in Sheff filled them both with great joy, as it is a small homage to their time spent there with Nanna, “Look forward, love. No need to make yehrself sick.” Charlie follows his command, knowing better, “Ugh, I do love staring at your perfect face, Alexander.”

“ ‘as anyone mentioned yous two are realleh going all out wiv this relationship fing?” Charlie giggles, still holding Alex’s hand, “Gotta make up for lost time, Cookie.” The drive to Nanna’s house is a relatively short one, her cottage was located in the older part of High Green, farther from the center of Sheffield than their parents’ homes. “Yeh goin’ to Mal and Kelly’s parteh tonight, reight?” Charlie exits the car, taking a deep breath of the old country air, “Most definiteleh weh will. Al even got ‘imself a sober driver to boot.” Alex pulls a guilty face, “Babeh, I told yeh… If yeh want I can stay sober wiv yeh.”

“Stop love, I’m just pulling yehr leg. ‘elp Jamie wiv the bags tho.” Alex promptly complies, taking his and Charlie’s suitcase off the guitarists’ hands, “Yeh’ve trained ‘im well.” Jamie chuckles and Charlie hugs him again, “Fanks for the ride, Cookie. See yeh tonight.” Alex takes the bags up the small flight of stairs, running back to say goodbye to Jamie. Charlie goes up the steps and opens her bag, trying to find the keys, “Al, do yeh remember where I put them keys?” Alex chuckles, pulling the keychain out of his pocket, “Yeh gave it to meh… For safekeeping.”

Alex kisses her temple and reaches out to unlock the door, but once the door is open they stand in front of the threshold, unable to move. Alex had hired someone to clean and fix minor things at the house in preparation for their holiday, but the sight of his grandma’s house still as it had always been and the knowledge that she wouldn’t be there, that was hard to move past. Charlie takes his free hand, entwining their fingers, “C’mon love, reight foot forward. She would’ve wanted us to make this as ‘appy a ‘ome as it was when she was ‘ere.” Alex nods, bring her hand up to his lips to kiss, “I’m so lucky to ‘ave yeh, meh love.” They take a step forward and Charlie smiles at him, “Indeed yeh are.”

Charlie wakes up from her nap to the sound of Alex singing in the shower. Taking the opportunity she takes off her t-shirt and underwear, tiptoeing to the bathroom and getting in the tiny shower with Alex, “Morning love.” He reaches up her neck, gripping her jaw gently under Charlie’s increasingly soaked hair, and pulls her against him in a deep kiss. His other hand finds her stomach easily, “ ‘ey there you.” Charlie giggles as he kneels down in front of her burgeoning belly, “Be careful, weh don’t need a shower accident.” Alex waves her off, pressing a sweet kiss to the stretched skin, “Mummy worries a lot, I fink it’s ‘cause she loves us… Or she joost likes to be a big know it all.”

“Oi, no talking about mummy like tha’.” She flicks him on the forehead playfully, “ ‘m sorreh, love. I’ll make it up to yeh.” Charlie begins to protest, but Alex shushes her with a single touch to her dripping core. “A-Alex…” He slowly backs her into the seat built into the wall, which had been an amazing addition made by Nanna, “Seat down, my love and let meh take care of yeh.” Charlie whimpers at his words, bending down to take a seat, “Yeh look so beautiful.” Alex looks up to her, breasts dripping small beads of water over her ever-growing belly, her face settled in a relaxed expression, half-lidded eyes still marked with sleep.

Alex settles himself between her legs, one hand on the crook of her leg as he bends to place his lips against hers. With a skillful tongue he oscillates between long deep strokes and pointed circles against her clit, “Ohh A-Alexander…” Charlie’s moans egg him on, encouraging him to go deeper, so he brings the tip of his finger to her entrance. The smallest pressure immediately elicits a string of moans and curses from Charlie’s lips, her hand coming to rest on top of his head, fingers gripping at his short hair, “Babeh, ‘ow come yeh taste so fooking good? Yeh’ll never guess the designer… Wait, I fink I need ‘elp wiv meh shoes.” Alex sits down next to Charlie on the bed, taking her foot and strapping the black low heeled shoes, which had a diamante bow detail, “Will yeh make meh guess?” He motions for her to switch feet, “I don’t fink yeh deserve such torture… It’s this brand called The Vampire’s Wife, which was created by Susie Cave… Nick Cave’s wife, tha’ knows.”

“I ‘onestly wouldn’t ‘ave guessed, tha’.” Alex smoothes the strap of her shoe against her ankle, giving it a soft squeeze, “Do yeh fink I should become a fashion designer?” He chuckled, turning to kiss her temple and bringing her close against his chest, “Yeh can beh whatever yeh want. But I’d suggest yeh stick to books.” Charlie cuddles into his embrace, “Good, I agree. Weh’ll let Miles be your fashion designer spouse.” Alex chuckles and presses a kiss to the soft skin on the crook of her neck. “Let’s go, or Kelly is gonna kill us.”

The pair heads outside to the garage, “Are yeh sure yeh don’t mind driving back? Or I can stay sober.” Charlie shakes her head and opens the door to the Mini, “ ‘Course not, love. Plus, I miss driving this beast.” Alex climbs into his side, settling into his old car, “I can’t believe meh Nanna kept this… Do yeh remember when I first got it?” Charlie nods, blasting the hot a/c to counter the frigid December cold, “Oh do I, blissful times of not havin’ to brave public transportation wiv a famous individual.” Alex scoffs, “It weren’t tha’ bad.” Charlie rolls her eyes, “Yeh alreight.”

Less than half an hour later they reach Nick and Kelly’s home and are welcomed by the couple, as well as Jamie and Katie, for a small family dinner of noodles and lots of wine. Jokes were made and stories were retold, a whole blissful night of happy memories was made.

“Jameh…” The blond hums a positive response before taking a sip of his beer, “Were yeh ever… Scared? Of doing this…” Jamie turns to him with a puzzled look and Alex sighs, running his fingers through his short cropped hair, “The marriage… A Kid. ’m frightened out of me mind.” Jamie chuckles, shaking his head, “Course I were… But yeh figure fings out as yeh go.” Alex doesn’t seem satisfied with the answer, in his drunken state his mind was spinning hazily through all his frightful scenarios.

Luckily, Jamie had a PhD in getting Alex out of his own head and helping him work through his fears, “ ‘ey… Al, c’mere.” Alex scoots into Jamie’s side and the blonde wraps an arm around the small man’s shoulders, holding him close, “Al, yeh’ve nowt to worreh about… Yeh and Charleh ‘ave known each other since birth and yous are alreadeh practically married. As for the kid… Al, yeh are great wiv the kids, and as scarreh as it is, those little buggers are worth it. It takes one moment, at 4am, when yeh ‘avent slept in weeks, and yeh show up to pick up the screaming kid from the crib and he just smiles when he sees yeh… That makes everyfing worth it.”

“Jameh Cook yeh are quiteh the poet, huh…” Alex sniffles, hugging Jamie tight around the waste, “Shhh, don’t wunt anehone finking I’m a softeh. I’ve an image to maintain.” They laugh and Alex kisses his cheek, “I love yeh, Cookie. Dun’t know where I’d be wivout yeh.” Jamie pats him on the head affectuously, “I love yeh too, Al… Now go find Charleh, I’m sure she’ll love to see yeh like this.” They laugh, knowing Charlotte would be amused by this drunken and loving side of Alex, “Thank you, Cookie.” Alex smacks his lips against the blonde’s cheek one last time for good measure before traipsing away towards the party.

Alex finds Charlie talking to Katie a Kelly on the couch, so he kneels in front of her and props his chin on her knees, “ ‘ey…” Charlie smiles down at him, running her fingers through his hair, “Talking to meh or the bump, love?” Alex looks up at her, his eyes shining bright at the sight of Charlotte, “Both… I love yeh so much, my Lottie…” The other girls sense the moment and take their leave, “Oh babeh, ‘ow much ‘ave you ‘ad to drink?” Alex hiccups in response, parting her tights to snuggle his face against the fabric of her dress, “Not mooch… Hmmm, this is so soft, almost as soft as yeh, love.” Charlie giggles as she has to hold back a full blown laughter as Alex tries to reach under her dress but struggles with the ruffled edge, “Alex, what are yeh doing?”

He refocuses his puppy eyes on her and the confused look gives way to a lopsided smile, “I love yeh so mooch, Lottie. Yeh and the babeh, I love yous so mooch.” Tears sprout at the corners of his eyes, blurring his sight, and Charlie reaches out to hold his face, caressing his cheek, “Oh darling… My love, weh also love you. I fink it’s time to go ‘ome.” Alex nods in agreement, burrowing his face into Charlie’s dress again, “Alex, love, can yeh get up?” Nick and Kelly walk in at the perfect moment, “Need sum ‘elp?” She smiles and nods to the bassist, who proceeds to bend down and gently help Alex to stand up.

“Hmmm, I’m tired, Nicky…” Alex yawns, scoring himself against Nick, who chuckles at Alex’s adorable drunkness, “Do yeh need any help to get home, love?” Charlie shakes her head, “Fanks Kel, we drove ‘ere.” Kelly smiles, caressing Charlie’s bump, “Be careful, the roads are iceh. Are yeh sure yeh don’t want to stay? We’ve plenty of room.” Charlie thanks her again, “I better take ‘im ‘ome, or ‘e’ll continue to grope Mal.” Alex had snuck his hand inside Nick’s jacket, hugging his bandmate around the waist, “Alexander, let’s go ‘ome?”

Alex raises his head from Nick’s shoulder, “ ‘ome?” Charlie giggles, taking his arm, “Yes, ‘ome. Now say bye to Nick and Kelly, fank ‘em for ‘aving us.” Alex pulls away from Nick, moving towards Charlie, he blinks a few times against the light, “Night, Malley and Bossy. I love yous. Fanks for everyfing.” The couple laugh, “Yeh’re welcome, Al. Weh love you too, be careful taking Charleh and the babeh ‘ome, alreight?”

Thankfully Alex wasnt drunk to the point of being unable to walk by himself, he’s just giggly as they walk to the car and get inside, “Did yeh ‘ave a nice time, love?” Alex’s answer is drowned by the sound of the engine as Charlie turns the key multiple times before it sticks, “Ugh, weh got to get a car for here, weh can’t keep using yehr old mini.” Alex spreads his arms over the dashboard defensively, “But Charleh…” Charlie laughs and takes his hand, placing it on her bump, “Weh need a famileh car, one where weh can fit a car seat so weh can take babeh and show ‘im our ‘ome.”

For one last time that night, Alex’s eyes are brimmed with tears as he kisses Charlie and the bump, his family.

My Ult Bias group is definitely Stray Kids. Knowing that I “debuted” with Stray Kids means that I’ll get to see their improvements and hard work. I also“debuted” with Seventeen too and one of my friends said that I totally forgot about them because I liked Wanna One and Stray Kids more now... That’s not the case, you guys might know this(if you read my personal blog Heather Lavender I had depression and during those times I felt lonely and continued to blame myself because one of my best friend can’t walk, so I always thought that I should’ve died the day of the accident.

Idk when exactly but when I found out about Stray Kids, I immediately wanted to know more about them. As I was watching the show I got to know them and of course 3RACHA(you guys don’t know how many times I’ve listened to their mixtapes). Stray Kids and 3RACHA’S songs spoke to me and slowly pushed those dark thoughts out of my mind. Knowing that they are able to produce songs, sing and perform them is mind blowing.

1. BURJ KHALIFA, DUBAI, UAE

Location : DubaI

Height : 2,717 ft (828 m)

Floors : 163

Public observatory : Yes

Completed : 2010

Inaugurated in 2012. The building was originally named Burj Dubai but was renamed in honor of the ruler of Abu Dhabi, after he lent money to the Dubai developers, who ran into financial issues during the construction of the tower. The tower’s design is inspired by the geometries of a regional desert flower and the patterning systems embodied in Islamic architecture. The Burj Khalifa contains offices, retail space, residential units, and the Armani hotel.

2. SHANGHAI TOWER, CHINA

Location : Shanghai

Height : 2,073 ft (632 m)

The Shanghai Tower is the tallest of the world’s first triple-adjacent supertall skyscrapers in Shanghai’s financial center, the other two being the Jin Mao Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center. The tower rises high above Shanghai’s impressive skyline, its curved façade and spiraling form symbolizing the dynamic emergence of modern China. Its tiered construction, designed for high energy efficiency, provides nine vertical zones divided between office, retail and leisure use. Shanghai Tower is one of the most sustainably advanced tall buildings in the world: a transparent skin wraps around the entire building, creating a buffer between the inside and outside that warms up the cool outside air in the winter and dissipates heat from the interior in the summer.

The Abraj Al-Bait is a government-owned complex of seven skyscraper hotels located next to the world’s largest mosque and Islam’s most sacred site, the Great Mosque of Mecca. The tower also houses has two large prayer rooms (one for men, one for women) and a Fairmont managed hotel to help provide lodging for the millions of pilgrims that travel to Mecca annually to participate in the Hajj. The developer and contractor of the complex is the Saudi Binladin Group, the Kingdom’s largest construction company. It is the world’s most expensive building with the total cost of construction totaling $15 billion USD.

4. PING AN FINANCE CENTER, SHENZHEN, CHINA

Location : Shenzhen

Height : 1,965 ft (599 m)

Floors : 115

Completed : 2017

Ping An is the physical and iconic center of Shenzhen’s growing central business district. The stone and glass tower’s four facades are sheathed in chevron-shaped stone verticals that extend from the building’s base. The latter includes five floors of retail shops that terrace away from the tower to form a large amphitheater-like space. The building is also defined by a central atrium, which serves as a public vestibule and allows daylight in, creating a welcoming space for meeting, shopping and dining. The original plan was to add a 60 m (197 ft) antenna atop the building to surpass the Shanghai Tower (cf below) and become the tallest building in China, although that plan was abandoned due to the possibility that it might obstruct flight paths.

5. LOTTE WORLD TOWER, SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

Lotte World Tower is one of Korea’s architectural crown jewels. The design of the 123-story tower draws from the forms of traditional Korean ceramics and calligraphy. The skyscraper rises in a sleek, tapered profile that contrasts with the city’s mountainous topography. Inside, the tower contains a wide variety of program types, including retail spaces, office floors, a five-star luxury hotel, and an “officetel.” Commonly found in Korea, officetels offer studio-style apartments for employees who work in the building and feature service typically found in hotels such as standard furnishings, front desk services and gym access. Other features include the shopping mall Avenuel, Korea’s best urban aquarium, a spectacular classical music hall, and Asia’s largest multiplex.

6. ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER, NEW YORK, USA

Guangzhou CTF Finance Center is a super high-rise tower which houses a hotel, serviced apartments, office space, and a retail mall podium. The tower’s design is derived from the efficient synthesis of its multiple uses. Its form is sculpted at four major transition points: office to residential, residential to hotel, hotel to crown, and crown to sky. Instead of tapering to accommodate the smaller floor plates required for different programs, the tower steps back at four angled parapets. These four setbacks allow for lush sky terraces and dramatic skylights. The building also employs a number of energy efficient tools to reduce its environmental footprint: the use of high-efficiency chillers and heat recovery from the water-cooled chiller condensers all contribute to the building’s sustainability.

8. Tianjin CTF Finance Centre

The Tianjin Chow Tai Fook (CFT) is a striking new landmark in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA), located just outside the coastal metropolis of Tianjin. The main structure has a hyperboloid and softly curving glass surface, which integrates eight sloping megacolumns. These curving columns increase the structure’s response to seismic concerns and are integral to both the gravity and lateral systems. Strategically placed, multistory wind vents combined with the tower’s aerodynamic shape reduce vortex shedding, which in turn dramatically minimizes wind forces (a problem which affects.

Until 2011, it also held the title of the world’s tallest green building. Taipei 101’s postmodernist architectural style evokes Asian traditions in a modern structure employing industrial materials. The tower houses offices and restaurants as well as both indoor and outdoor observatories. The building is Taiwan’s most iconic attraction and the Taipei 101 fireworks displays are a regular feature of New Year’s Eve broadcasts.

1. I have some odd phobias! I’m fucking terrified of butterflies/moths and worms! This is a major pain in the ass during the spring/summer because I see butterflies more often and shIT IS STRESSFULL!!!! I don’t know how these phobias manifested??? who knows?? I font for sure??

2. I’m interested in doing research on Internet Gaming Disorder! I’ve been doing research on the subject because boredom and was really interested in the subject after reading one academic journal. This became of hobby of mine and now I want to switch my focus from doing clinical work to research. Hopefully i can combine both clinical work and IGD research further down in my career !

3. Related to my previous fact, I love playing games! I really loved playing RPGs, MOBAs, Storyline, and etc. I took a break on games because I have early on-set arthritis and sometimes playing would be too painful.

4. I am a sucker for musicals. I live for musicals. J ust m u s i c a l s. Musical AUs? Hell Yea! Musical Karaoke? Count me the fucK IN BRO. Wanna go see an off-Broadway show? You know who to call! Want a movie musical marathon?? Ill bring the popcorn. Wicked is my favorite?? I cry when I listen to the soundtrack?? just *sigh* m u s i c al s

5. I use to play so many instruments! I played the flute, trumpet, tenor sax, piano, and cello! I was usually first chair but I stopped playing in high school because my teacher was actually really bad? I didn’t have the money to actually buy all the instruments so I stopped playing. I really miss playing, so hopefully I will be able to buy these instruments one day and pick it up again!

Mengapa PH Perlu Tunduk Kepada Tun?

Sudah tiba masanya Mahathir yang harus berkorban...Tun elok bersara terus dan berehat. 1. Jika PH hanya mahu merampas kuasa untuk jangka masa pendek (supaya bekas Menteri2 PH yang gila kuasa dapat kembali berkuasa), mereka akan sokong Mahathir sebagai PM9 tetapi bukan demi negara ataupun PH. Namun, tiada jaminan bahawa PH akan diberi peluang untuk memerintah lagi, kerana Agong boleh membubarkan Dewan Rakyat dengan serta merta.

2. Apakah 'agenda' Mahathir yang beliau boleh buat dalam 6 bulan, tetapi gagal disempurnakan selama 22 bulan sebelum ini? (Pastikan Najib masuk penjara?) Jika ada, biar lah PM PH yang baru ambil alih, supaya 'agenda' tersebut akan dapat dikekalkan untuk jangka masa panjang, bukan untuk 6 bulan saja 3. Kalau PRU15 diadakan sebelum 2023, siapa lah yang akan menjadi calon PM untuk PH? Mahathir lagi, yang sudah berusia 95+ (dan sebab utama negara mengalami kemelut politik)?? PH pasti akan kalah kalau Mahathir yang jadi calon PM lagi, ia hanya membuktikan bahawa, langsung tiada pemimpin lain dalam PH yang layak menjadi PM. PH patut gulung tikar dengan serta merta.

4. Pengalihan kuasa daripada Mahathir kepada penggantinya (Anwar kah, orang lain kah) akan mencetuskan ketidakstabilan negara sekali lagi(kerana PM baru tidak semestinya mendapat sokongan penuh, seperti Mahathir). Oleh itu, mana2 kerajaan baru PH patut dipimpin oleh PM yang akan kekal sebagai PM sehingga tamat penggal. Ini juga dapat memberi masa yang mencukupi kepada PM baru untuk membuktikan bahawa beliau ada kemampuan untuk mentadbir negara, supaya PH boleh menghadapi PRU15 dipimpin oleh PM yang sudah terbukti. 5. Sepanjang Mahathir menjadi PM, PH semakin lemah. Mahathir tidak berniat untuk memperkuatkan kedudukan PH sebagai sebuah gabungan politik. Oleh sebab itu, PH tidak akan mampu bersaing dengan UMNO PAS selepas Mahathir meninggalkan PH (selepas memenuhi agenda peribadinya).

Jika Mahathir ikhlas ingin memastikan bahawa 'reformasi' kerajaan (kononnya...) dapat disempurnakan dan diperkasakan untuk jangka masa panjang, beliau sendirilah yang harus berkorban dan menyokong PM PH yang baru. Bersatu dah buang Tun dan 5 sekawan. Takkan PH masih nak berPMkan Tun lagi kot. Atas merit apa? Parti dia pun dah tak nak dia? 7. Last, but not least, janji2 Mahathir TIDAK boleh dipercayai lagi. Mahathirlah letak jawatan TANPA berunding dengan rakan2 terlebih dahulu, dan cuba membentuk 'kerajaan perpaduan' dengan yang bukan PH tanpa minta persetujuan rakan2 PH. Mahathirlah yang menyebabkan kerajaan PH tumbang, tetapi sehingga hari ini, beliau masih TIDAK pernah mohon maaf.

Kalau Mahathir mahu PH percaya pada beliau lagi, kenapa pula bukan beliau sendiri yang percaya pada PM PH yang baru (bahawa PM baru akan teruskan apa2 'agenda' yang Mahathir ingin melaksanakan sebagai PM9)? Kenapa kepercayaan ini hanya 'One Way street' saja? Maka sudah jelas bahawa Mahathir hanya mahu kembali sebagai PM untuk agenda PERIBADI dan balas dendam (terhadap UMNO khususnya?) beliau, BUKAN demi kebaikan negara ataupun PH. Jika Mahathir betul2 berwawasan, pandang jauh dan sanggup berkorban demi kebaikan negara, beliau harus undur diri dan sokong PM PH yang baru, bukan lagi minta orang lain 'berkorban' untuk dirinya lagi - Adiismail Adiismail

Jika hangpa bijak membaca statement di atas saja kita dah tau bahawa Atok ni bukan nak sangat jadi PM semula. Dia cuma nak kekalkan PN sahaja dengan cara mencalonkan diri sendiri menjadi PM PH supaya PH berpecah. Kalu Tun dan Shapie taknak sokong Anwar jadi PM, marilah kita sama2 jadi pembangkang saja...- f/bk

Persoalannya... 1. Apa keperluan PM interim ke-2? 2. Apa jadi pada PH plus selepas Tun turun dan bagi laluan pada Anwar? 3. Adakah orang2 Tun akan terus menyokong Anwar selepas Tun bersara? 4. Sia2 saja jika bentuk gomen yang sama rapuh seperti PN. 5. Halatuju gomen baru lebih penting dari menjatuhkan PN. 6. Hangpa nak maki aku, makilah tapi aku manyak happy... pikiaq2 mai - TS

Regardless Of Anwar Ibrahim’s Decision, PKR, DAP and Amanah Must Stay United In Pakatan Harapan...

We had written the risk of allowing Mahathir Mohamad to again become a prime minister. In a nutshell, he cannot be trusted. Anwar Ibrahim should be made the new Prime Minister, not Mahathir. Exactly why must Anwar be unfairly mistreated after all his sacrifices while the evil Mahathir, who did not even spend a single day in prison, is given the job again for the third time? Yes, the ideal choice to the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition is for Anwar to be crowned as the 9th Prime Minister. Screw Mahathir! Long live Anwar! But that was “before” Sabah-based Warisan leader, Shafee Apdal, announced that his choice must be the 94-year-old Mahathir. So in reality, even with the entire PH’s 91 votes behind him, Anwar cannot become the next premier. The best scenario is for Anwar to become the PM and Mahathir’s son, Mukhriz, as deputy PM with the bonus of Mahathir as Mentor Minister thrown in. But such proposal failed to take off. Therefore, the next option is to work with the devil himself – Mahathir – in order to snatch back the government from backdoor Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, who is doing all the UMNO dirty works. The Mahathir-Anwar combo is not the ideal solution, but unfortunately, it is the only realistic workaround on the table simply because Anwar could not convince either Sabah-based Warisan (9 MPs) or Sarawak-based GPS (18 MPs) to support him – pure and simple! Which part of this that Mahathir-haters or Anwar-supporters don’t understand? A perfect and ideal solution is unavailable. However, when DAP’s organising secretary, Anthony Loke Siew Fook, revealed that both DAP and Amanah are waiting for PKR president Anwar Ibrahim to decide on the tag-team combo, all hell breaks loose. Anwar’s aide, Perak PKR Chief Mohd Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, has condemned DAP – “Is this how you repay Anwar for a friendship built over 20 years?” Seriously? Does the Anwar’s aide really want to go there? When Mahathir unleashed Zakir Naik to bark and insult the non-Malays, telling the Chinese to go back to China and the Hindus to go back to India, where was Anwar Ibrahim? Anwar obediently agreed with Mahathir not to extradite the hate preacher. Is that how Anwar repay non-Malays for a friendship built over 20 years?

Selangor PKR Youth secretary Ahmad Syukri Abd Razab has even suggested that Anwar quit the Pakatan Harapan coalition to teach DAP and Amanah a lesson. Why must PKR go ballistic when DAP was merely asking Anwar not to drag his feet and decide about the Mahathir-Anwar combo? If Anwar and his party do not agree, just say so. There’s no need to threaten. It’s the childish behaviour of PKR leaders like Mohd Farhash and Ahmad Syukri, as well as Anwar’s indecisiveness that had allowed Azmin Ali to easily manipulate and betray the party in the first place. Only now PKR leaders whined, moaned and bitched about how Mahathir ignored PKR’s recommendation for ministerships, and appointed Azmin as the Economic Affairs Minister. Had the PKR leaders courageously threatened to quit the coalition (the same way they are threatening DAP and Amanah now) when Mahathir defiantly appointed Azmin with the evil intention of splitting PKR back in 2018, the coup might not have happened. Anwar’s boys knew it 2 years ago, but talked as if Mahathir’s plan of using Azmin as a mole in the party just happened yesterday. Fine, Mahathir had caused the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government. Can DAP and Amanah also naughtily suspect that there’s more to Anwar’s private meeting in April with Muhyiddin than meets the eye? How could Anwar meet so soon the same traitor who had conspired with Azmin and robbed his chance of becoming the 8th Prime Minister? After uproars over Anthony Loke’s so-called “pressure” on Anwar to speed up his response, PH secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said Anwar had travelled to Sarawak, presumably to win over the hearts of Sarawak party leaders. Another source claimed Anwar is even seeking an audience with some Malay Rulers in order to legitimise himself as the PM candidate. Has Anwar gotten any favourable replies from Sabah and Sarawak, let alone approvals to meet the monarchs? If not, that suggests a huge problem, is it not? Forget Sarawak, which is a harder nut to crack. Let’s talk about Sabah. Did Anwar at least manage to convince Chief Minister Shafee Apdal to support him as the 10th Prime Minister after Mahathir’s exit in 6 months?

Like it or not, the fact remains that Anwar Ibrahim, and Pakatan Harapan (formerly Pakatan Rakyat) for that matter, had tried for 20 years to unseat the mighty Barisan Nasional regime without any success – until the alliance with Mahathir. And now the same old man wanted to get rid of Perikatan Nasional regime, a common enemy, but PKR is getting very emotional instead of objective. Even if Mahathir has no intention of stepping down after 6 months as promised, one thing is pretty sure – he desperately wants to send UMNO crooks like Najib Razak, Zahid Hamidi, Tengku Adnan, Bung Moktar and Azeez Abdul Rahim to prison. If PKR thinks it’s not worthwhile to even see these spectacular fireworks, then reject Mahathir’s proposal. Just be decisive! But besides waiting for the next 15th General Election, which may not happen after all until 2023 because the backdoor government of Muhyiddin is no longer under threat thanks to the failure of Mahathir-Anwar combo, what else can PKR and PH do? Has anyone noticed the return of the old UMNO regime with government critics increasingly being charged with sedition? We’ve also published previously that there’s no right or wrong answer as to whether PH should work again with Mahathir. It depends on how desperate PH wants to take back its legitimate power �� immediately or wait until the next general election, which is about 3 years away. At the end of the day, if Pakatan Harapan value principles more than politics, then continues as the Opposition. The most important part is for all the component parties – PKR, DAP and Amanah – to stay united. If PKR decides to let Muhyiddin rules and plunders until 2023, then DAP and Amanah should abandon the plan to work with Mahathir again and close ranks to prevent Pakatan Harapan from a total collapse. But get ready to accept that what is happening to Hannah Yeoh will continue for the next 3 years. - FT

I’m answering these questions from the POV’s from the main characters in my lawyer!harry story, The Assistant! I’ll just, um, answer some of these from an future alternate universe where Becks and Harry are together ;) if you know what I mean.

1. In the morning, who is more likely to trap the other in bed by cuddling them?

- I am most definitely the one who traps the other in bed with cuddles, because Harry is always “up and at ‘em” right away in the morning. That’s probably because he’s been waking up at the ass crack of dawn for well, forever and is so used to it, when I’m not. I’m not a big morning person, so I like to lay in bed as long as I can, and extra cuddles makes it even better. I may or may not make Harry crabby weekly by making us late to work with some morning cuddles. When we wake up, he’ll give in “for a quick cuddle” he calls it, but it always turns into like a fifteen minute one, hehehehe. Every once in a while Harry will do it, though, and it makes me melt every time. - Becks

- Oh, Becks, fo’ sure. She’s always draggin’ tha mornin’ on by wrestlin’ me t’ have some cuddles with her befo’ we leave. Often- too often, it makes us late fer work, but lookin’ back on it, I really wouldn’t have it any otha way. I get upset with her sumtimes ‘bout it coz ‘m tryna be a betta boss at the firm, but I do love ‘em mo’ than I let on. - Harry

2. How do each of you ask for a hug or cuddles?

- Um, I guess I just outright ask for it, or sometimes I don’t ask and just do it. I used to ask for either of them more, but I don’t much anymore, unless the situation warrants it, like if Harry is crabby or busy with something. When I’m upset about something and need one, I never ask. - Becks

- I reckon I don’t really ask fo’ eitha, and neitha does Becks. Ratha, we both jus’ take what we want, and when we want it. Sumtimes we may ask tha otha, if they’re inna bad mood or sumthin’. Actually, I s’pose sumtimes we ask tha otha silently with a look on our face, holdin’ our arms out fer tha otha like I do fer her, or jus’ givin’ tha otha a hug or cuddle when we know tha otha needs it. - Harry

3. Do you ever just casually lay on each other? Whether it be flopping down in each other’s laps or leaning your heads on each other’s shoulders.

- This one made me laugh. Yeah, I’d say this happens a lot when one of us is sitting on a sofa or in bed, and I’m often the one who will fall onto his lap. There may have been a few times, at the beginning, that I missed and nailed his balls. I felt so bad, but luckily I’ve gotten better at it, and I don’t give him a near heart attack when I fall onto his lap anymore. Otherwise, it happens a lot when we’re watching tv together, and if we’re working together on one of our sofas at the firm. Don’t even get me started on how much I love the “heads on each other’s shoulders” thing and how he always does it. Ugh. - Becks

- Becks ‘s defo’ mo’ guilty o’ this than I am. I dunno what it ‘s, but she loves t’ do this. So much so, that ‘ve developed a habit o’ coverin’ me balls when I see her comin’. She fo’gets it, but she likes t’ sprawl out and lay her head on me lap when we’re watchin’ sumthin’. This girl has a bad thing ‘bout havin’ her hair played with, and she often does it befo’ bed, and she’s out like a light within minutes o’ me startin’. I think tha layin’ on eachotha’s laps ‘s defo’ a given if eitha o’ us ‘s havin’ a bad day. We do tha head on shoulders thing often when we’re workin’ next t’ each otha, or while watchin’ telly. From tha beginnin’ we’ve had this thing ‘bout always touchin’, think it makes tha both o’ us feel safe. - Harry

4. Who’s the big spoon and who’s the little spoon? Do you ever switch?

- Harry has a good half of a foot on me, so he’s always the big spoon! Wait, I am the big spoon sometimes, but really only when he’s upset. It doesn’t happen often, just then or when we wake up and his back is to me. He’s really good at being the big spoon, though, so it works out well. - Becks

- ‘m ninety percent o’ tha time tha big spoon, and Becks ‘s tha li’l spoon. She only comes past me shouldas a li’l bit, so tha position o’ big spoon was given t’ me at tha beginnin’. I reckon she does steal it from me time t’ time when she’s feelin’ brave, or when I need t’ be tha li’l spoon if ‘m sad. I like bein’ tha big spoon in tha mornin’ wakin’ her up, and sumtimes she gets tha same idea. - Harry

5. Can you describe how you usually cuddle?

- Hmmmmm. It’s usually when we’re watching something, or if we’re in one of our offices at work and we’re working on something next to each other. I guess it typically looks something like having my head on his shoulder and his arm around me. Then again, sometimes it may be simple as intertwining our legs and having our bodies touching, like if we’re typing away on our laptops next to each other. One of our heads will wander to the other’s shoulder, and or we’ll play a little footsie. If it gets more cuddly than that, it’s arms around the other spooning under some blankets, it may look like lying down with my head on his chest and arms around each other, or as simple as facing each other with our arms around the other and my face often in his chest or neck. - Becks

- I reckon it depends where we’re at and what we’re doin’. If we’re at tha firm workin’ t’getha, which we often are, and we’re sat next t’ each otha, then we might be playin’ footsie or jus’ be sittin’ right beside tha otha. If ‘s at home, a head may be on tha otha’s shoulda, ya’d be a winna if ya bet her head ‘s on my lap and my hand in her hair, a good spoonin’ cuddle, or like I said she’s bundled up in me lap with her head ‘gainst me chest and my arms surroundin’ her. - Harry

6. How touchy-feely are you with each other in public?

- It depends. If we’re at work, it looks different if we’re in one of our offices or not. If we’re not in our offices, say for a team meeting, at the courts arguing a case, or just talking to coworkers, we very rarely touch each other. We keep it professional at work and act like colleagues and or mentor and mentee. That’s what works best for us, and our team at Harry’s firm. But if it’s somewhere else, like the shops or a restaurant, we like to hold hands, hug, have Harry’s arm around me, and a kiss or two; keep it tame. All of that happens at the firm too, just behind closed doors where it’s just us. - Becks

- Again, it depends on tha place. If we’re at tha firm in eitha o’ our offices, anythin’ goes. If we’re outside o’ our offices for whateva reason, we’re colleagues first, and so we don’t touch save fer tha occasional hug maybe. All touchin’ ‘s defo’ off-limits at tha courts when we’re tryin’ a case, due t’ tha utmost importance o’ professionalism there. A pat on tha back may happen, but that’s as far as it goes. Tha team at tha firm ‘s great and doesn’t mind us datin’, but work ‘s work. If we’re sumwhere else in public anythin’ ‘s fine, but we don’t get very crazy save fer a kiss or hug.

7. Do either of you fall asleep often when cuddling? Who does it more?

- Oh, yes. I’m so guilty of this. I do this all of the time! Harry teases me about it, but there’s always been something so calming about being in his arms, and when there’s a sofa or bed involved, I’m almost guaranteed to fall asleep. It’s pretty much how I fall asleep every night, I’m so spoiled. - Becks

- Becks, e’ry bloody time. I love it, tho’, and find it so damn cute. ‘s tha way she falls asleep almost e’ry night. ‘s tha playin’ with her hair thing, I swear. She’s a spoiled brat gettin’ her hair played with e’ry night, but that’s ‘kay, coz ‘d hate not gettin’ t’ cuddle her t’ sleep e’ry night. When I happen t’ be away on a case that she can’t come with me fer, I always sleep terrible without her there cuddlin’ me t’ sleep. I may do it now and then, but ‘s mostly a Becks thing. - Harry

8. Are you the kind of couple to hold each other when one of you is scared, stressed, or sad? If not, how do you reassure each other?

- Yes, definitely! I think that’s been our thing from the very beginning, and I love it that way. We both communicate a lot through touch, and need it from the other, so that speaks to it. I’ve always had this thing where if I’m feeling any of those emotions badly enough that the sure fix is a hug from Harry, because they can fix anything. It’s more of a me thing than him, I’d say. We use words of affirmation and the like a lot for reassuring the other, we both need that, too. - Becks

- Fook ya, we are. ‘s jus’ always been that way. We’ve always been huggers with each otha, even in tha beginnin’ when she hadn’t made me into a softie, yet. We both crave it and need it from tha otha when we’re upset, and it always makes it betta. Othawise, I reckon talkin’ t’ eachotha when touch isn’t feasible ‘s a big thing we use fer reassurance as well, or acts o’ kindness, so t’ speak. - Harry

9. When you’re in bed at night, do you fall asleep in each other’s arms or keep your distance?

- Good question, I can’t always tell because I fall asleep once Harry starts playing with my hair. I think it’s mostly in the other’s arms, but sometimes we’re apart and we’re fine with that. Sometimes, one of us gets home late from work or from a night out, and we may or may not find our way into the other’s arms. I know there are some times when I just don’t want to cuddle, and other times when I won’t take no for an answer, hehe. - Becks

- Mostly in tha otha’s arms, coz duh, Becks ‘s spoiled. No, ‘m only kiddin’, a li’l. Like many o’ these questions, it depends. If ‘m workin’ late, she’s at Skye’s late, or jus’ one o’ us falls asleep early which doesn’t happen often, we don’t always wake tha otha t’ cuddle. I usually can’t pry her off me afta lullin’ her t’ sleep playin’ with her hair- No, ‘m kiddin’ ‘gain. I love fallin’ asleep with her in my arms, or usually with her head on me chest, and ‘m so happy that I get t’ fall asleep most nights with my arms ‘round her where she’s cuddled up t’ me. ‘d waited fer it too bloody long all those years. - Harry

Tell Me Why - chapter 7

Hi,

I have come to the conclusion that I love the Drama because I watched too many soap operas when I was a kids, latin ones at that. Oh well... I dedicate the extra drama in this one to my dear friend, @taqueriaonamoon.

The bus makes a special detour to leave Charlie at her sister’s house and she honestly can’t wait any longer to be reunited with her family, “Charleh, yeh are ‘ere!! Boys, c’mere, Aunty Charleh is ‘ere!” Emily engulfs her sister in a hug, pulling her inside, “Hi, Em. ‘ow are yeh guys?” Em pulls away and takes a good look at Charlie, “yeh look different.” Charlie brushes her off and turns to great her nephews, “Nate darling, can you take aunty Charlotte’s bag to her room? Help him, Vi.” Emily pats her children in the back and they grunt before disappearing inside with Charlie’s things. The older woman pulls her inside and into the kitchen, closing the door, “There is something off with you.”

Emily squints at her, regarding Charlie from head to toe, “Em, stop being weird. Well, weirder than normal.” Emily shakes her head, sniffing Charlie’s shoulder and ultimately squeezing her breast, “Em, wot the fook?” Emily smiles broadly, “You are pregnant.” Charlie’s face falls and her posture falters, “W-What? ‘ave you lost yehr mind?” Emily crosses her arms in front of her chest, “Yeh can’t lie to meh, Charlie, I’ve ‘ad two kids. ‘ow maneh weeks?” Charlie gives up and sits at the kitchen table, “Almost 12.” Emily sits next to her sister, rubbing her back, “ ‘ey,mardy bum, wot’s wrong? Aren’t yeh ‘appeh?” Charlie sighs, pushing her hair away from her face, “I-I am, i-it’s joost I ddin’t want anehone to know yet. I-I’m not readeh.”

As she is pulled into another tight hug, Charlie chooses to snuggle close to her sister, cherishing the sense of home she carried, “ It’s gunna be alreight, love… Do yeh know who’s the father?” Charlie only nods in response, “Do I know ‘im?” The thing about Emily and Charlotte’s relationship was that being born only two years apart the girls grew very close, and even though they hadn’t lived together for more than 10 years now, they were very attuned to each other’s feelings and emotions, “Y-Yes…” Charlie’s voice is barely a whisper and in turn Emily sighs and hugs her closer, rocking her lightly in a soothing manner, almost as if Charlie was a small child herself.

“Is he from Sheff?” Charlie nods again, tears sprouting from her eyes, “Oh Charleh, I thought it’d been years since yeh two…” And for the first time since she found out about the pregnancy Charlie truly let herself breakdown, in the arms of her beloved sister, “Oh Charleh, it’s gunna be okeh.” The sobs rake through her slight body, emerging from deep with Charlotte, from all the doubts, and fears, and pain she’d kept bottled inside these past weeks, “Love, look at meh, yeh’ll end up making yehrself sick.” Charlie raises her head from her sister’s bossom and Emily wipes her face gently, “I’ll make yeh sum tea, ‘elp yeh calm down and we’ll talk about it, eh?” Charlie nods weakly, still sobbing lightly.

Emily gets up, swiftly putting the kettle on and setting up a plate of biscuits, “Yeh look joost like mum.” Remarks Chalie, nibbling on a chocolate digestive, “Well, I’ll take tha’ as a compliment.” Emily had indeed followed in their mother’s footsteps, from having two children to taking over the family’s beauty salon, “ ‘ere yeh go, joost as yeh like it.” Charlie blows into the steaming mug before taking a sip, appreciating a small token of warmth and homeliness, “I’ll never learn yerh way.”

“It’s love. Speakin’ of which…” Charlie rolls her eyes, “Don’t act like yerh the expert.” Fueled by her anger and lack of sleep Charlie has spoken without a second thought, “Em, I’m sorreh, yeh are only tryin’ to ‘elp and I’m being an asshole.” Emily waves her off, “I’ll let this one go, yeh are ‘urting. Plus, what ‘appened between Michael and I ‘as nofing to do wiv yehrs and Alex’s relationship.” The sound of his name brings back the near constant nausea in the pit of Charlie’s stomach, “Wot’s tha’ face? Charlie yous two ‘ave been in love with each other since yous were kids. Mike and I were a silly high school romance. All of ‘igh Green ‘as been waiting anxiously for their golden children to be togetha’.” Charlie cringes at her sister’s words.

“Emily, stop wiv tha’’ nonsense. Alex and I love each other as friends, this was a one off fing. ‘e were ‘urting and needed meh.” Emily scoffs, “Tell meh anotha’ lie, please. Alex were ‘urting so yeh shagged? When did it ‘appen?” Charlie blushes as she remembers the night, how detached still so connected they were, “After ‘e broke up wiv the witch.” Emily raises an eyebrow dramatically, “So ‘e’s free for the first time in three years and the first fing ‘e does is shag yeh? Yeh, tha’ boy realleh loves yeh like a sister.” Tears come back to Charlie’s eyes as if they’d found their permanent place on her face, “If ‘e loves meh so mooch then why does ‘e alreadeh ‘ave a new girlfriend, huh?”

Emily is at a loss, “Yeah, ‘ow the fook do I tell ‘im I’m pregnant when it was just anotha’ mindless shag in ‘is book? I can’t lose ‘im in meh life, specially not now!” Charlie feared Alex’s reaction would break her, his presence in her life was a constant she wasn’t ready to lose, ever. She couldn’t remember an important day in her life that he hadn’t been a part of and the mere thought of his rejection made her crumble. “I need time, Em. To figure this fing out.” Emily nods gravely, “ ‘Course, we’ll get through this. Together.” They hug once more for a brief moment, “Ok, now let’s move. Yeh should ‘ave sum time for a nap before the big luncheon, ugh.” They roll their eyes simultaneously, for different reasons.

The Monkey’s mothers had organized a welcome luncheon, taking advantage that the band had arrived a day early, at the Turner’s and Helders’ backyards which were adjacent and could be opened for big events like this. All families were invited for an afternoon of good old group fun, which both sisters dreaded. Charlie for Alex related reasons, whereas Emily had her own problems to deal with. Her former husband, Michael Cook, would be in attendance this afternoon and since the divorce the pair hadn’t been in the best terms. Emily put on a brave face in front of the kids, but she’d never imagined she’d end up in this situation where she couldn’t even have a civil conversation with the man who had been her partner for 10 years.

Emily leads her upstairs to her old room, which had become more of a guest room in recent years and soon Charlie is fast asleep, the stress of the last couple of days having taken it’s toll on her. However, her nap is short as soon Emily wakes her, “Charleh, wake up. We ‘ave to get going.” Charlie groans and turns away from her sister, “C’mon love, I’ve a surprise for yeh.” That perks her attention and Charlie raises her head, “Wot?” Emily groans, knowing the word surprise would get her sister’s attention, “It’s in the living room, come down and see. Get ready first, tho.”

Once Emily has left, Charlie gets up and diggs through her bag for an outfit and makeup. She changes into a simple sky blue tea length dress with a fluffy white cardigan on top, and after a quick brush of her hair and some light makeup, Charlie slips in her ballet flats and heads downstairs. As she turns into the living room Charlie finds her mum and dad sat on the couch, “Mum! Dad!” She is filled with joy at the sight of her parents sitting on the couch, “Charleh, me babeh!” Her mum, Margaret, gets up from the couch and embraces her youngest daughter tenderly.

“What are yeh guys doing ‘ere?” They pull apart so Charlie can hurt her dad, Pete, “We hadn’t seen yeh girls in forevah, yehr dad and I thought this was the perfect opportuniteh.” Emily emerges from the kitchen, “Kids, come down. We ‘ave to go.” Nate and Violet run downstairs and so the Jones family goes, walking the three blocks over to the celebration. Margaret walks arm in arm with Charlie, “Yeh look skinneh babeh, is everyfing okeh?” Charlie nods, giving her a hopefully reassuring smile, “Yes mum, ‘m perfect. Promise.” Her mum tuts.

“Yehr ‘air on tha’ other ‘and, it’s awfully long, Charlotte.” And so the motherly remarks begin, “I know mum, I’ll ‘ave Em cut it for meh before I leave.” Margaret stops them for a sec, taking charlie’s chin in her hand and inspecting her, “Yeh look different, there’s this… Glow about yeh, is there anything going on?” Charlie takes the hand away from her chin gently, “It’s just meh makeup, mum.” She moves them along and thankfully once they reach the celebration Margaret is distracted by her friends.

Charlie immediately spots Eily heading with the kids towards Jamie, Katie and Forrest who were talking to Alex and Louise. She excuses herself from her parents and heads over, “Hi guys.” Charlie gives Katie, who was chatting with Emily already, a hug since Jamie and Alex were too excited talking to Nate about music and guitars. Jamie had gotten him one for the past x-mas and since then that’s all the kid had been able to talk about. She kneels down to Forrest’s height, the small boy was being entertained by his cousin Vi and Louise, “Hey For, can aunty Charlie get a hug?” He notices and opens a wide smiles, “Aunty Charlie!”

The toddler throws himself into her arms, causing Charlie to nearly stumble back, “Story, story, story!” She chuckles, kissing his soft cheeks, “Later, love. Aunty promises.” Since Forrest mostly saw her at the bookstore for story time, or when she babysat for the Cooks, he had linked her to storytime, “Before your nap, baby.” Katie intervenes to avoid a tantrum and the toddler is soon distracted. Charlie stands up, “You are so good with him, Char, you’ll be a great mum someday.” Emily chokes on her drink and Charlie has to hold herself back not to glare at her sister.

Luckily everyone is distracted by a new arrival, “Mike’s ‘ere.” The kids noticed too and start running towards their dad. Charlie stands back, between Alex and Emily, linking arms with her sister. “ ‘ow long’s it been?” Emily downs her drink before answering, “Almost two months.” Charlie huffs and Alex takes her hand, squeezing it once, and she is thankful for his support. Michael reaches them with an arm around Nate’s shoulders and Violet hanging from the other, both kids beside themselves to have their dad there, “ ‘ello, ‘ello.” He is visibly altered, at 2pm in the afternoon, at a family event, “Hey Mike, I have to feed Forrest right now. Kids, do you want to come with us?” Katie had sensed the incoming conflict and picked up her son, asking her nephews to join them brought some relief to Emily, “Go babehs, try and find yehr grandparents.”

Alex also felt the fight brewing, as he was well aware of the Cook’s temperament, “Babeh, why don’t yeh go wiv them? I’ll be reight there.” Louise took her queue and follows after Katie, “What were yeh thinking, Michael?” Showing up to a family event plastered liked this?” Michael moves towards Emily, “Yeh are no longer meh wife, Emily. So shut the fook up and go back to yehr silly little chats about ‘air or shite.” Charlie can see jamie’s hands curling up into fists and moves closer to Emily.

“It’s not about meh, yeh wanker. It’s about our kids, who ‘adn’t seen their poor excuse of a dad for nearly two months!” The next few seconds happened in slow motion for Charlotte. She sees Michael charge towards Emily and steps in front of her sister, receiving the slap that had been intended for her. The whole party quiets down as she is thrown into her sister’s arms and Alex grips Michael by the collar, throwing a punch to his nose. Before the fight started Jamie held Michael back and their parents intervened.

Margaret takes a hysterical Emily into the Helders’, while Jamie and his father drag Michael away from the whole thing. Alex and Charlie are herded by Penny into her kitchen, where she takes care of them just like when they were kids and scraped their knees biking. Charlie is sitting at the table with a ice pack against her cheek and hand over her stomach, daydreaming about what happened, “Is everything alreight, Charleh?” She snaps out of it and looks up at Alex, who was leaning against the counter as his mum tended to his split knuckles.

Charlie had been worrying about the baby, even though she knew nothing could’ve possibly happened, “Yeah, ‘m just ‘ungry I fink.” Penny finishes wrapping his hand and gives him an ice pack, “You two stay ‘ere, I’ll get yeh some plates. It’s best yeh eat in ‘ere, just until the ice melts down. Especialleh yeh mister, yeh’ve work to do tomorrow.” They chuckle in unison as Penny goes back outsied, “Are yeh realleh okay, love? That wanker gave yeh quite the blow.” Alex is clearly still agitated so Charlie pats the seat next to her, “C’mere Al.” He sits down and takes her hand, “I’m okay. Just worried about Em and the kids.” Alex pulls her ice pack away to peak at the swollen skin and grimaces, “I know Char, but we’ll ‘elp Em make through this, okay? I promise.” Charlotte smiles despite the pain on her right cheek.

This was her Alex, he was always there to save her and everyone she loved. In that moment she almost blurted out about the pregnancy, but their mums walk into the room and ruin the moment, “Oh Penny, don’t they look adorable?” Charlie and Alex roll their eyes simultaneously, “Yes Maggie, I just wish they’d get together alreadeh and save meh the trouble of all these girls Alex keeps bringing ‘ome.” Alex objects, “Oi mum, can yeh not, please?” Charlie holds back her giggles as Penny tuts, “They are all beautiful to look at, son. But they are not for yeh, next to our Charleh they don’t stand a chance.”

They were used to their mothers comments by now, so they try to ignore them and go on with their meal. Once Charlie and Alex are both fed and their ice packs have melted they venture back outside, where Charlie is quickly pulled away to read a book for the kids.

Alex stays back to watch and is quickly approached by his grandma, “ ‘ey Nanna.” She hugs him from behind, keeping an arm wrapped around his waist, “ ‘ow are yeh, son?” He hums a positive response, eyes trained on Charlie as she entertains the kids, “She really is summat, innit?” Alex looks down to his grandma smiling and agrees, placing his injured hand on top of hers.

“Weh never realleh understood why yehs two didn’t end up together. I, personally, blame yehr father.” He pulls a face, “Nanna, tha’s awful! Besides, Charleh’s way too good for meh. She deserves better.” He looks back to his friend, catching a moment when she’d just read a funny line and all the children were laughing with her, making Charlie shine with a special glow. Nanna notices the look on his face and smiles sadly, “Whatever you say, love.”

Once the kids and their parents are sound asleep in their beds, as Charlie had given her room to their parents, she and Emily head to the living room for a nice sisterly chat, just like old times. While Em enjoyed a cup of red wine, Charlie resigned herself to curling up on the love seat with a warm cup of tea, “Today was…Quite the day, huh.” Ponders Emily taking a sip of her wine and sloshing the liquid around in her mouth.“I ‘ave to tell ‘im, don’t I?” Emily nods and Charlie sighs, “I’m so scared. I-I love ‘im as a friend above everyfing and to… Lose ‘im, I don’t know if I can.”

“You are scared of losing him like I lost Michael?” Charlie only whispers a word of agreement, “Char, you and Alex ‘ave ‘ad the perfect friendship for 30 years, yeh never fight. The worst fights Mike and I had, and still have are about money and that’s not an issue you and Alex will have.” Charlie grimaces at her sisters words, “I’m not gonna let Alex pay everyfing and spoil the kid at random.” Emily waves her off, “I know, love. But Michael and I were two broke kids, wiv not even a college degree, trying to handle two kids. The only reason I even ‘ave a ‘ouse today is because mum and dad left it to meh when they retired. Yeh ‘ave yehr own place and business, even if yeh raised this kid by yehrself, which I find highly unlikely, you’d still be good and not have to bother fighting wiv the father.”

Charlie takes another sip of her tea, trying to figure out how to voice her next question, “Em, did Michael… Did he ever hit yeh?” Emily looks down into her wine glass, as if she could find an alternative answer at the bottom, “Hmm, once… The week he left.” Charlie reaches out to grip her sister’s hand, fighting the instincts to storm out and find the man that hurt her sister, “Tha’s when I knew there was no going back, tha’ we was done.” Charlie reaches out to hold her sister’s hand, “Tell ‘im, Charleh. Worrying about it won’t change the fact that you are ‘aving ‘is baby.”

Emily finishes her wine and bids her goodnight, but Charlie can’t go to sleep yet, there was too much going on in her head so she falls back on an old habit. She takes her coat that was hanging by the door and slips into her boots, ready for a late night stroll around the neighborhood, where the cold air would hopefully help her sort through her thoughts.

Charlie wraps her coat tighter around herself as she takes a turn and to her surprise Alex is standing in front of his parent’s house, smoking a cigarette just like old times. She approaches him, “Can’t sleep?” He asks as she stops by his side, “Nope… I feel like we’re 16 again.” He chuckles, “Reight… ‘ow are yeh, Char?” She sighs, taking the cigarette he offered, thankful for the cold night as she takes a fake drag.

“I’m fine, Alex.” He shakes his head, knowing how stubborn she could be, “Me mum finks yeh’re depressed again. Are yeh?” Charlie looks down, kicking the gravel beneath her feet, “No. Are yeh? Yeh’ve been acting weird too.” He throws the cigarette butt on the ground, stepping on it, “No Charlie, ‘m not. But yeh’d tell me if there were summat wrong, reight?” Charlie turns to face him, “Yes, Alexander. I should go back ‘ome, it’s late.” She moves past him, going back towards her house, “Night, Charlotte. I love yeh.” She has to dig her nails into her hands to keep from crying as she turns back to face him, “Love you too, Turner.”

Bifidobacterium bifidum (Bb-02)† Bifidobacterium bifidum has been shown to effectively compete with harmful bacteria such as E. coli, S. aureus and Camplylobacter jejuni, which suggests B. bifidum’s lactic acid and acetic acid production provides an antagonistic action against pathogens to help maintain microflora balance.6

Bifidobacterium lactis (BI-04)† Bifidobacterium lactis is predominantly found in the colon. Lactobacillus plantarum (Lp-115)† Lactobacillus plantarum is a beneficial bacteria commonly found in fermented foods including sauerkraut, pickles, brined olives and sourdough. L. plantarum has been found to compete against strains of Clostridium difficile and Clostridium perfringens, due to the production of bacteriocins (lethal proteins) that inhibit bacterial growth.9 Studies have also demonstrated that L. plantarum helps boost the immune response by stimulating Th1-mediated immunity.10

Lactobacillus rhamnosus (Lr-32)† Lactobacillus rhamnosus has been proven to have remarkable survivability in the acid and bile environments in the GI tract. COUNTRY BOWLS CLUB On Friday morning it came down to the last game of the season with Country Bowls Cubs holding onto 5th position by 1 point against the Roundheads, so everything was to play for. The Cubs welcomed San Luis Pumas and were motivated to score as many points as possible and they did not disappoint. With 4 out of 5 rinks winning and the overall shots were a positive difference to the cubs of 44, can they hold onto 5th place? The newly formed cubs have excelled in their first year at competitive bowling and deserve every success. Winning rinks were Sandra McIlroy, John Burke & John Mallet, Chris Stevens, Craig Dyson & Andrew Bryce, Dave Smith, Dot Davies & Niel West and finally Sheena Mallet, Derek Lewis and Peter Robins. Great result Cubs. Country Bowls Geckos were away for their last match of the season in the afternoon against Quesada Swans. From the off the Geckos took command with a real determination to finish the season on a high with another good win. A couple of the rinks were very close at the halfway mark and in the second half one rink was nip and tuck to the very end. By the 18th end the Geckos had their wish and were well up on all but one rink which was 3 shots up going into the last end, but unfortunately managed to drop 4 shots losing them the game by one shot. The victors were: Viv Brown, Pat Ray, Brian Ray, 20-12; John Jukes, Graham Richardson, Wayne Osguthorpe, 24-10; Carole Donnellan, Les Turner, Den Birkett, 18-13; Really bad luck to Sylvia Rennie, Jean Turner & Jim Rennie who have been so successful all season to lose by just one shot on the last end. A good result for the Palominos. The Raiders were at Vistabella playing the Buggies and met some strong opposition, though coming away without a point. Sometimes the opposition is just too strong. Meanwhile the Pintos were at Mazarron playing the Miners, the stiff breeze making playing a mat with a reduction from 8 rinks to 7, just a little difficult, never seems to work well to me. But as always the company was good and we enjoyed the day, though alas we came away with just one point. Friday found the Rangers playing host to La Marina Merlins, playing well and ending with 3 rinks and the overall shots by just the one, a good result showing that the extra moment of concentration can bring you the extra 2 points. Meanwhile the Mustangs were at Greenlands against the Oaks and put in a good effort and particularly perseverance in the case of John Skipper’s trip, getting used to the rink until 15-1 down, then coming back to win 17-16. The Mustangs came away with 2 rinks, a very good away result. We should at the end of the season thank the team captains for their sterling efforts. In the afternoon the Broncos were at home to La Manga Crusaders and had a great day, taking full advantage of the home mat by taking all the available points. Last weekend we had two teams playing in Mojacar at the Indalo bowls club 4 day event 422 competition. The team of John and Lorita Rae and Mike and Carol Smith won the top prize. In the Voyager Division Sputniks had a bye this week whilst the Pioneers played San MiguelPointers and lost the match by 94 shots to 72 with the winning rink coming from Doug and Fay Beattie with Norman Adcroft with a 19 shots to 13 win. In the Winter League La Siesta took the trip to Javea with several of the regular squad unavailable and despite not winning any rinks and going down by 113 shots to 68 it gave the club the ability to blood some fresh faces in to the team. In Division A Blues finished their season away at QuesadaSwallowslosing the match by 91 shots to 94 winning on the rink of Dave Davies, Harold Charleton and Irene Mangan by 34 shots to 8 picking up 2 points leaving the Blues to finish 10th out of 12 teams in the Division. In Division B Golds at home to Quesada Swifts lost the shots by 77 to 83 but won on the rinks of Bill & Sue Jordan with Pat Moore 25-15, Doug Beattie with Fay Beattie and Ros Stockell 22-18 and Barbara Cooper with Vic Mahomet 18- 16 sharing the points 6 apiece to finish 5th in the table. San Miguel Alsatians were also away to Emerald Isle Titans losing 4 - 8 (821 shots to 95), the best winning triples were Marilyn Shatwell, Gerald Shatwell and Mike Douglas 25 - 17. The final week saw the Lanzadores at home to San Luis Lions, the Lions took wins on three rinks but the overall outcome couldn’t be changed, the Lanzadores have won the league and they go head to head with BBC at MonteMar on Monday 1st April for the North - South playoff...win or loose everyone in the squad are champions allready, a great performance everyone!
