Sheridan is oddly chill about how quickly he returns given it's an emergency.

If it's unusual for Ivanova to have her command through simple hard work, does that mean most commanders got their posts through connections pulling strings?

I think one of the things I'm struggling to get a handle on is just how dystopian Babylon 5 is meant to be. Most of the time it seems to be in line with the real modern world, then out of the blue you get something like this that makes it sound like their HR strategy came out of the 18th century.

I get what they're aiming for with the creeping fascism of the Night Watch but it feels a bit, idk, blunt, particularly "openly criticized presidential decisions".

The drama with the Narn and Centauri cruisers, on the other hand, is very well done.

It's sweet that after everything, G'Kar still wants to make the effort to support Sheridan.

And we found out what Kosh looks like under his encounter suit! The wings were a surprise.

no bc ford and bill's falling out is so silly to me because its like. ford's obsession with bill was the closest to "religious" that he's ever tread, and that kind of betrayal was earth shattering and hurt ford in a way he had NEVER been hurt before, causing him to completely mentally and emotionally unravel. meanwhile bill is like "can we talk 🥺" as if he hasn't been using ford for years, and when it became clear ford hated his ass bill got so drunk he forgot his mom was dead. what an INSANE dynamic to establish 8 years after the show ended.
