I drafted this originally about 9 days ago, but couldn't get my thoughts in order quite the way I wanted to, so I'll try to write make it shorter this time.

Noir Peter, May, and expectations - I know it's a subject that's been brought up more than once by people more than just me, but I do feel it's interesting to pick apart how much he believes what he's become / is becoming is nothing of what she would want him to be, while, in fact, it could be argued he's still following a lot of what she's taught him.

It isn't exactly a surprise to say he doesn't think very highly of himself or his actions, especially taking into account the scene where he kills Vulture to protect Aunt May - I wrote a snippet about that here. However, I would also like to insist that, as perhaps a more positive continuation of his story, he is still actively persuing justice in the face of grave odds, and what is a Spiderman - what is this Peter especially - without looking after the downtrodden? As both a reporter (eventual P.I?) and as Spiderman, it isn't all violence for the sake of good - there's other routes to take as well.

He might believe with all his heart that he's failed to be any sort of good his Aunt would want, despite her and Uncle Ben defining much of what he is in terms of ideological and moral beliefs, but he's probably blinding himself to the good he's capable of, and perhaps already actively doing.

I started watching Spy X Family and I didn't realize it was gonna be so fucking cute.

Fake dating/married is one of my favourite tropes ever. And I loved Mr and Mrs Smith. So this is right up my alley however.

I can just tell it's gonna be an extremely slow burn romance and I'm already dying. Loid and Yor are so flipping cute.

i don’t deeply care about credit for my gifs personally — if i did i would watermark probably — but i get why others do care! it takes effort to make nice gifs!! and i do think it’s basic decency to ask a creator before using their gifs in any post, even when using the tumblr embedding feature that links back to the original post
