🗯️ i might as well belong to both of you and the mess you always seem to drag me through

good evening simblr! yet another pleasantview render because ummmm. im brainrotted. i have no excuse. this render takes place on the night that lilith gave dustin his piercings only because dirk pays her to.

dirk and lilith are still very close. even though their romantic relationship ended, they remain best friends and have been since childhood. due to circumstances out of their control, they stop talking for a few years after 2007. they reconnect later on and their friendship is stronger than ever.

dustin and lilith have known of each other because of angela and dustin's relationship. they would never hang out with each other outside of dirk. they get along solely because they both love him. they have a sibling type of relationship. they make fun of each other but it's mostly jokes.

i like to think that this is a picture darren takes of them all together. he loves dirk's friends and he sees little parts of himself in both of them. as always my asks are open if you're curious about more of my thoughts towards them :)

The Dreamer Family

Darren has made it as a famous artist, and has moved from humble beginnings in Willow Creek to the Arts Quarter of San Myshuno. Art critics line up to view his latest pieces, and for now, they're loving everything that Darren produces. Darleen on the other hand is delighted at her husbands success, and it means that she can still do the things that she loves; gardening, browsing art in the local gallery, and spending time with Dirk and Lilith.

Tales of The Sims 2 Uberhood - Dreamer

Darren Dreamer and Tara Kat seem to be infatuated with each other. Darren's son, Dirk, doesn't seem interested in his father's vows - he is too busy being broken up with by Lilith Pleasant.

Lilith: Look, Dirk, I know this might not be the best moment, but I am really not in love with you any more. I don't want to waste your time any longer.

Dirk: Wait, Lilith, are you breaking up with me? You're not serious.

Lilith: I am absolutely serious, I'm so sorry, Dirk. I hope you'll find someone who will love you as much as you deserve.

Dirk (thinking): Is it possible that she found out about her? I thought we were hiding quite well in that desert graveyard of hers...

removes "never active" from my bio and sits down with my hands folded. hi. ive been posting a little more recently. if you care at all or wonder where ive been, to make a long story short; i stopped being active because of stupid drama, unhealthy relationships, work, school and mental illness. all is well now. i recently finished a program to help with some of that stuff, i'm graduating high school in the spring and i'm doing great actually! life is cool

anyways this is another dirkstin render. i have a complex storyline built up in my mind (if you want to hear more about it, i would love to tell you. actually id love to tell you about anything you're curious about regarding them. please send me asks >:]). this render takes place around 2006. dirk is 18 and dustin is 17. it's inspired by that specific genre of band image from the 2000s where two members are just. all over each other (mcr, fob, early p!atd, metallica (ok theyre not 2000s but you get what im saying)). except for them its not a bit

The sun room out the back of the penthouse is exclusively for Darren and Darleen. Darren paints while Darleen gardens.

195 Main Street A.K.A. The Dreamer House!

The plan for this was to show that the Dreamer family had been middle class before the fire, Darleen's death, and Darren quitting his job in the business career to pursue art. As such, while it looks quite large and well-to-do from the outside, inside most of the fixtures and furniture are cheap, reflecting their more modest assets after losing much of it in the fire.

I repainted the outside yellow, as it goes nicely with what I think must been Darleen and Darren's favourite colours, lilac and dark blue respectively. As well as adding a garage, I popped some dormers on the roof, extended the porch and added a covered balcony at the rear. (The basketball court actually belongs to the condos across the road from the Dreamers.)

I relocated the door to Dirk's room which made the living room space much more useable, as well as replacing the long staircase with the vertical spiral stairs, opening up a lot of the space both for use and light.

I like to think that the piano had been in Darleen's family a long time, so Dirk has fond memories of hearing his Mum play when he was small. There are only 3 chairs at the dining table as this was all that could be salvaged after the fire, and they haven't needed more lately, so why spend money on superfluous chairs (so says Darren).

Dirk's bedroom is his favourite colour (light blue), and he keeps the first painting he did on top of his chest of drawers (Once Darren had finally taken it off the fridge that is!), thankfully his room wasn't as affected by the fire.

Upstairs underwent the most drastic changes as I decided to divide up the space, rather than leave it open as before. By doing this I was able to add another bedroom, presumably Darleen and Darren had planned on a younger sibling for Dirk at some point, a full upstairs bathroom (complete with 70's green bathtub that I'm sure they had wanted to replace long ago), an en-suite for the master bedroom, and what had previously been a walk in closet for the master bedroom now turned art studio for Darren! As you can see by the dressing table, Darren hasn't been able to move any of Darleen's things.

Lastly, I added a basement to the house, though it is unfinished. It contains the laundry room, a large space that was presumable planned to be a sort of den or rumpus room judging from the dart board, and a future bathroom.

Since Cassie moved away Darren has been desperately searching for a new muse.

Idk townies that well and it doesn't help that all the names are randomized, so I have no idea who these people are. That said, I don't think the Pleasantview I chose comes with other townies than Bella/Kaylynn/Gordon.

Anyways, I made Darren a hopeless romantic, so I'd like for him to find someone special in his life. He doesn't roll wants for it though, so idk should I take control of the narrative, make him a secondary family (or romance?) or leave it for ACR to figure out...

Episode 5 of Pleasant-NEW just dropped! It’s all about the Dreamers with a visit from the Goths.

Darren Dreamer is a Family sim and Dirk is a Pleasure sim :) I don’t want to spoil it but nothing TOO crazy for the setup round lol. Let me know what you think!
