The context is that this is an in universe sketch book that the reader character is using- I actually quite like how the drawing turned out in terms of how it portrays it.

It’s… of questionable quality cause writing isn’t really my strong suit, but hey- the only way to get better is to practice.

#shep arts #content smp #csmp #arathain #mason arathain #tw eyestrain #cw gore #<- its very mild I’d say. i kinda just fucked up one of their arms... in my defense it was annoying to draw so I just didnt draw part of it #the eyestrain isnt too bad either in my opinion i just wanted to tag it just in case #honestly just tell me if this needs more tws I'm awful at knowing what I need to trigger warning and what I dont #okay uh art rambling time so i made him a bug for this one honestly just cause i thought it looked neat #this was a really fun for a drawing that took like an hour to sketch and a million years to finish #it's just an experiment in coloring a lil different and using layer styles other than multiply and add...#there are add and multiply layers in there if i remember correctly but its mainly color/linear burns and hard/soft light i think #fun fact there was supposed to be more paint but uhm I got lazy and it was already a pain trying to balance the values on this one #so yeah its just the pink splatter behind his head there. imagine that there's more pink paint there for me pretty please #I have a dozen versions of this with various overlay layers will probably end up adding those to this post in a rb or something #this post was supposed to go up earlier but yeah I was comparing overlays for like two hours...#honestly im surprised my procreate didnt crash in the middle of this since it crashes everytime I do anything with a lot of overlays #it did die immediately after I finished it though so then I had to wait several hours to just sign the damn thing :/

every once in a while i get reminded of yttd existing and its just like. damn i know that game.

#i never finished it i got to that bit where you had to like #choose characters to spend time with and like do minigames with or something (i dont remember very clearly this was like 4 years ago)#and it was really overwhelming (i was overthinking it a lot) so i just kinda.. stopped playing #i only found out it existed cuz someone on. okay hang on #ive mentioned tayasui sketches a lot right. drawing app i used to use it had a ‘community tab’ you could post art on #something that was pretty big on there for a while in likeeee 2020 was making. google classrooms. for people to join #i was in a few of them good times made a lot of friends there. anyways #someone on there one day made some post super late at night that was like ‘i need someone else to play your turn to die it traumatized me’#and linked to the site to play it on #so i just was like. fuck it sure i dont have anything better to do #and played it over the next few days #i remmeber thinking it was pretty neat.. i tried playing it again a year or two ago i think #i didnt get very far though cuz i got overwhelmed again.. like i didnt even get anywhere close to as far as i did originally lmao #im really bad at games like it where you have to like. do logic puzzles and decide on character things #i dont know if that makes sense oh well #sometimes ive considered watching a playthrough but idk if thatd be the same really.. idfk #one day ill get to it i think. i gotta see what its deal is yknow..#inquisitivewaltz.txt

Fun fact about my Mario S/I!!

His brooch design is meant to represent the Sun! See, my favorite shape is stars, but my beloved wife already has that shape as her motif, so I went with a Sun design instead cause it’s in the same ballpark and also I feel like the Sun represents me well. I gave it 7 points specifically cause I wanted to differentiate it from Daisy’s brooch, which has 6. (Though mayhaps I shall redo it so that it has 8? That might make more sense hdbcdbj)

May I present to you Meteos!Spamton's Grannest, SGS-1997!

This robot was customed made with a dollar print on the top of the head, as well as a serial number inside its head on the side, being that of his name and the year of his hayday

During the time in the mansion, the little thing was mainly used to carry money around, even be next to Spamton for people to throw their green goods into it, even to the point of overflowing, though it always keeps their balance and try to not let any bills fall

They'd always love the pats on the head and the sweet talk, as well as listening to his troubles and comfort him

The day he got evicted though, the Grannest was taken away from him and put into the room where they were created to be dismantled and maybe even be thrown into the acid river, but thankfully, the room was left unlocked, and after it was determined to be dark and time for sleep, the robot sneaked out of the room and outside the mansion, trying to find him while the salesman went though the typical troubles of trying to go back in

One day, the lovely robotic pet found Spamton in his shop, and when it was noticed, they got a big ol' hug from their master, and now the two will never separate again...hopefully

Fun fact, hayday Spamton gave them the nickname "Dollar Buddy", but with current trash baby Spamton, they're now called "Kromer Buddy"

Just beat the Pokemon Trading Card Game for the Nintendo Gameboy Color on my Nintendo 3DS and you'll never guess who carried me through the two final bosses:

#asks #they weren't even fire type users!#turns out that just spamming bite is a really good strategy #the game put me up against 2 trainers with no consistent type weakness to exploit #basically saying “make the best general-purpose deck you can”#and i built it around 2 cards: hitmonchan and wartortle #actually i probably could've worked in rapidash too that one's good #but it's also heavy on fire so a 3-type split would be inconsistent #anyway i only had 1 copy of hitmonchan and i didn't even draw it #but i drew squirtle+wartortle both times and wartortle was the cornerstone of my victory both times #because 40 damage per turn is really really good #toward the end of the 2nd final boss the ai just kinda gave up though?#they just kept feeding me free KO's without doing anything #like they shoved a 40hp dratini in my face when i KNOW they had a dragonair in their hand #did they just want to lose?#anyway it was a pretty good game #had nice charm #and all the bosses have actual strategies and combos and stuff #very neat #the card collection and deckbuilding are kinda meh #it's just booster packs #and you don't even get basic energy for free you have to get them in booster packs #and when you put a card in one deck you can't put it in other decks until you take it out of the first deck #so you can basically only have 1 deck #EXCEPT they have a deck save machine that lets you save decks regardless of your collection? so idk why they did that?#realism i guess #anyway it's surprisingly good for such an old game and for a port of a physical card game #on the game boy color at that #navigating a card game via menus should be super tedious and annoying but it felt pretty good to play imo #well-designed with nice animations and music
