【 who is 𝐣𝐨 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭? 】 ➭ josephine 'jo' grant is a 23 yrs old escapologist that has been employed by brigadier lethbridge-stewart to work at UNIT in the 70s thanks to a relative in high places and assigned to become the Doctor's newest assistant. idealistic, whimsical and a daydreamer; jo definitely isn't much interested in pursuing a scientific career like the man she's lending a hand to as she finds magic and the surreal much more fascinating than harsh, cold and logical truths. it's because of her mentality, in fact, that she helps the doctor thinking outside the box whenever they feel stuck. she's cheerful, a bit absent-minded, caring and ever the optimist ━ she'll always put her loved ones before herself, even at cost of her own life.

☆ now, let's address the elephant in the room that is classic who. i'm VERY new to it myself. sadly, i couldn't find free watchable episodes of one & two's runs, however i did find three's seasons and i've started watching those! i've finished seasons 7,8,9 & 10 am currently enjoying season 12 (i'll watch the other classic doctors' seasons, too, if i find them!) needless to say, you DON'T have to have watched the classic series to interact with me. i'll be more than glad to clarify or hand over information if needed.

☆ elephant in the room numero due: sexism and mocking of feminism in the classic series. some writers had to be douchbags about it and thus the writing fluctuates a lot when it comes to certain female companions. of course, i don't support nor endorse ANY of that bullshit. too bad jo is my character now and i decide how to write her ❤️

F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom?

19 years and counting babey!!!! i've been watching stargate since it came out (i was 6 years old!) and i've been a fan of it since i saw the first episode. fun fact i had a little "club house" in a small storage room in our basement when i was a kid and i PLASTERED the walls with art and posters that said "I LOVE _______" with all of the sga characters when i was like 7? 8? something like that?

absolute all time fav blorbo of forever is Doctor Rodney McKay PhD PhD he always has been he always will be forever and always he owns my heart. i love everything about him- he's smart, he's canadian, he's arrogant, he's hot, he's funny, he's competent, he's an asshole, he's selfless and heroic, he's literally everything. i'm actually genuinely in love with him i would give up my entire life if he asked me to zero hesitation no questions asked

i know it says three different fandoms but i'm also going with john sheppard even tho it's the same fandom bc those two are just so far above the rest in terms of being my fav characters that i can't not include him. john is a disaster human and i love him. i'm like, 95% sure my obsession with putting my friends first and making sure they're happy and comfortable (even at the detriment to my own happiness and comfort) above all else is because of john sheppard. he's selfless, he's reckless, he's charming, he's funny, he's smart, he's hot, he's perfect he's everything i'm obsessed.

Hmmm,,, I haven’t really watched anything new,,,,,,, but I mean I did get into Geralt/Jaskier (Netflix’s The Witcher) recently. I really like them.

Don’t even fight me with “The Rise Of Skywalker” because it was COMPLETELY a Jedistormpilot movie and that’s all I was there for. Those three characters.

She is aroace but also a consummate matchmaker. Just because she doesn’t have any interest in romantic relationships doesn’t mean she won’t try to pair up others she thinks would be good together :P

As a Matron, she’s calmer and more calculating, but she spent her Maiden years being fairly reckless and, outside of university, didn’t usually put much thought into future plans beyond, “Let’s see where this goes.”

She’s intensely introverted, which means her profession (doctor, asari fertility specialist) tends to take a toll on her energy. When she has some free time, she prefers to recharge her batteries with mostly solitary activities, like reading, catching up on her stories (yes, she absolutely watches soap operas), and quietly organizing the week ahead of her (meals, finances, to-do’s—it relaxes her to know what to expect).

Her cousin, Odessus (she’s utterly devoted to Dess, even if she’s not overly demonstrative of her feelings)

Hannah Shepard (both because Hannah is a good sort and because Dess loves her)

Oh, I have so many headcanons for my dearest Anxiety Turian :P

While she would never admit to any kind of religion or even spirituality, a part of her is still very much drawn to and comforted by the thought of being part of a greater spirit—of a family, a home, a team. When she was younger, she thought of “spirits” as more or less wishful thinking. But in her life with Hannah, she’s come to understand—and more importantly, feel—what the spirit of a place and the people who make it actually is.

At the request of an old friend, Castis Vakarian, Dess investigates Garrus when he’s at C-Sec, but she does it on the down low to keep his record clear. She has a sit-down with him after Dr. Saleon gets away to warn him to get his head on straight or he’ll end up like Harkin. Her little pep talk does absolutely nothing.

She likes going to Armax Arsenal Arena with Hannah for a little simulated dogfighting.

Every morning, she sets aside time to write; it’s almost an act of defiance against the worst influences of her past.
