Matthew Mercer can do so many great things with just his voice and his mouth and his mind. I've heeard him do a simple but so precise door opening noise, a giant baby-monster scream I still have nightmares about, about 5692 different NPC voices, a live voice-over for her wife's character, always some great thunder and lightning sounds, an ending of a campaign where he was just him and full of emotions and brought me to tears... ; and that's just on Critical Role.

He absolutely cannot, however, do a Cher impression.

I got really into Cult of The Lamb, and my brain did what it did best and smashed together my other major hyperfixation and the idea of Atem as The One Who Waits and Yugi as The Lamb would NOT leave my mind.

I initially drew up a quick sketch back in August of LAST YEAR,, and my motivation died out back when I wasn’t able to finish anything. It would stay an unfinished sketch…

Except the super amazing @book-keeper loved the crossover idea so much that they wrote a twoshot for it, and my motivation immediately came back to life.

It only took a year and some change, but I’m so grateful to them for bringing my motivation back to finish it 💖

Sigh. I guess my dilemma about my current therapist being fine, but not a great fit has resolved itself -- she's moving to part-time and won't be able to see me anymore, which means it's time to find someone else regardless.

Mostly spinning this as a positive since she already has someone lined up for me to try out an intake with and I actually have the mental/emotional energy to do some therapist-hunting of my own during winter break. If I can find someone who actually is an ideal fit for me and my issues before or around the time the semester starts it would be a huge boon, but we'll see

So I've shuffled my watch later playlist and it played the "RWBY is dissapointing, and here's why" video. I've been avoiding this video cause I've seen backlash for it on THREE separate occasions on Twitter (Fuck you Elon).

But I thought fuck it, why not try it. At least it'll be funny to listen to a dude bro whining for two hours about a show.

The problem is, he has actual valid criticism for the show.

Like, he's done his research for both the main show and its tie-in lore side show, and correctly points out plot holes and bad writing in the show itself

I’m calling it, LtA will imply that ky learned that sol is a gear during TML. Probably from overhearing sol’s ending with justice. This is my tinfoil hat theory because of the amount of times i’ve seen these events mentioned in the eng and jpn fandoms despite never being mentioned in the games.

If the GG Comic Anthology is canon, then that could be used to confirm this too, that Ky found out Sol was a Gear during the tournament fight with Justice where she breaks Sol's limiter. However, in the official recap chapter on the ASW website, Ky gets his ass kicked by Justice and passes out before that happens (page 14): guiltygear.com/ggst/en/news/post-789/

It looks like Ky might pass out in the GGCA story (MEET AGAIN) too, but it's less clear than the recap comic (remember to read right to left):

Ky has enough energy to shout at Sol but then he slouches forward and the next few pages are Holy Order flashbacks, which imply he may have passed out and is having flashbacks to when him and Sol served together.

I can't find anything that confirms more definitively when Ky found out that Sol was a Gear, but it would had to have been during their time in the Holy Orders together. Sol does all this crazy acrobatic shit and gets chomped and blasted by Gears and doesn't die? Ky's smart, I think he could've put the pieces together haha Maybe Sol even just straight up told him at one point. He doesn't seem to hide the fact that he's a Gear, just that he doesn't really like talking about it.

I'll try to remember to come back to this if I find something that talks about when Ky finds out though. It could still be in Lightning the Argent even if it wasn't during the events of the Missing Link tournament arc itself.
