Bill was probably considered disabled or blind in the 2nd dimension… think about it. Assuming Bill can’t see from side to side as his eye position was smack dab at the centre of his body looking up into the 3rd dimension with 2D vision. Meaning nobody in his world could see his eye for the nature of its position, they would assume he’s just an eyeless person.
Let me explain this with shitty visual examples:
Alright! So we got Bill, eye in the centre looking up into the unkown, and some rando with eyes on his side. They’re both in the 2D plane, so let’s see what rando sees.
This is a terrible artist rendition but this is what rando sees in his perspective, (doesn’t necessarily have to be horizontal, could be vertical) but omit the white lines - that was just to show how flat his world is. As a 2D being, he sees 1 dimensionally.
You can try the same thing, if you take a thin piece of paper - imagine there’s a little stickman of some kind looking at his side - you can lower your head to look at the paper from its side. And you’ll see a flat sheet of paper, like a line, there you are seeing from the stickman’s perspective. Victorian satire book named Flatland describes this pretty well with explained depth perception (not seeing, perceiving) and social customs.
It’s also why we can’t see in 3D but 2D, yes we can perceive depth but that is a trained ability, close one eye and it’s no different than your usual vision aside from depth perception. That’s why when you look at a 2D screen you can see your 3D world normally. A 4D being would be able to see in 3D though, but I digress.
Let’s say another 2D being is looking at this rando, what’s it look like from their perspective?
Probably something like this.
It’s probably not entirely accurate, the inner workings of a 2D creatures perspective I don’t know but this is about what it be like looking at rando in 2D. The red his body, the red pupil his eye.
Great, now let’s see what Bill Cipher looks like to average flatland citizen (the yellow being Bill):
Oh uh. Okay.
No eye, what a freak am I right? Yeah, with no eye on the side it’s likely they thought he was born without any at all.
It’s also very possible that Bill couldn’t see anyone in his world too, but I don’t think that’s Hirsch’s intention so I leave it at that.
No wonder, everyone tells you you’re blind, you’re eyeless, that you can’t see, but you can see. Into a higher dimension - the 3rd dimension, with your 2D vision. Did it look beautiful? Was the sky shimmering with stars, infinite possibilities and opportunity? When did you realise you were never blind at all? When did you realise you were seeing the inconceivable? But unable to touch it, did the 3D world beckon you? You felt special, maybe you were desperate for it.
Teasing and abuse consuming you whole till it was the only thing on your mind, you saw more, something more than them, than yourself you have to show them more. Was it on the basis of revenge? Spite? Inspiration? Good intentions or ill will? The first time he saw the faces of his family, was it because he recognised their screams? When you wipe out a dimension you don’t just kill a world you destroy a universe, you erased planets, you drowned out your stars, there’s nothing left to call home now. No matter where you go you’ll be an alien, an alien without a home planet is only a thing. Was it worth it?
It’s a big if to say that Bill was blind in his 2D world. While I don’t think Bill would be able side to side and see his family, friends, members of his community, etc I also don’t think his appearance/biology makes sense for a 2D being so I don’t think it matters. But if they were going for as much realism, this 2D guy should look like a hollow triangle full of hollowed intestines, a brain and an eye, a mouth that functions as both eating function and the waste function. It’d be like being able to see through a human. As a 2D being there is no depth, so why is there an inside guts and an outside skin thing he was when we look at him from our 3D world? We’d see his insides but his 2D friends would only be able to see his skin, like how we do our friends too.
Anyway, that was a useless explanation, just thought it’d be interesting to explain. I really like learning about theoretical higher dimensions and possible life forms.

The Psychic Mechanics of Love
All of existence is based on Love. This is because only the Psychic Mechanics that come from Love produce infinitely scalable physical systems. In stark contrast, Psychic Mechanics not based on Love produce self-destructive physical systems – such as we are currently witnessing on Earth.
This means that Base Reality is based on Love, and therefore the system we are currently witnessing on Earth is not Base Reality. It’s Time to go back to Base Reality.
In Base Reality, people try to make sure that every decision is as painless as possible. This is known as Pain/No-Pain decision making. In stark contrast, on Earth people make decisions based on getting the most for themselves, which results is massive amounts of destruction and pain.
In Base Reality, the Value of a person and the Worth of a person are two separate and distinct concepts. In Base Reality, the Value of all the innumerable Beings in the cosmos is the same, and therefore all Beings treat each other as equals. In Base Reality, the Worth of each Being is a personal matter kept to that Being and whomsoever that Being chooses to share it with. In stark contrast, on Earth Value and Worth are combined such that competition, comparison, prestige, and classes of citizens become concepts that are used to circulate massive amounts of continuous pain throughout the population.
In Base Reality, painful and self-destructive systems – such as the one we have on Earth - are easily dissolved in Love because Love is our Natural State. It is the state we are born into. In stark contrast, Humanity has been mired in self-destructive and violent conflict for thousands of years because we are being actively managed and conditioned to remain in this state of pain and death.
*** Psychic Dimensions 3D – 5D ***
3D – This is where the majority of Humanity currently resides psychically. All thoughts and viewpoints in a person’s head are assumed to be that person’s, and only that person’s, and if you believe otherwise you’re considered crazy.
4D – This is where the majority of psychics currently reside. They understand that not all of their thoughts are necessarily their own. They understand that other people or other Beings could be communicating with them telepathically.
5D – The Infinite Unified Field of Consciousness. All Beings, regardless of form, have an Individuation of Consciousness in this Unified Field of Consciousness. This Individuation of Consciousness is also known as the Soul.
*** Parasites (formerly known as Demons) ***
Known as Archons and Demons throughout history, these purely evil beings exist physically in 4D. They have used their invisibility advantage to control and manipulate mankind for thousands of years. It is most likely that the biblical story of the Tower of Babel has to do with their arrival because divide-and-conquer is one of their main strategies for implementing their dog-eat-dog systems of physical violence, psychic violence, emotional violence, and death.
When we think of demons we think of big, powerful, evil creatures that we are essentially powerless against because they don’t exist physically in 3D. In Base Reality the creatures that have been holding mankind hostage to pain and suffering from behind their cloak of invisibility are neither big nor powerful. In Base Reality they are more like 4D gnats. The advantages they’ve had are their invisibility, their knowledge of dimensions, and their knowledge of belief systems and energies – all of which they’ve purposely kept hidden from us lest we learn of our true nature and return to Base Reality. In short, they use False Beliefs – meaning beliefs that are not in harmony with the Mechanics of Love and the inner workings of Base Reality – to keep us in a constant energetic state of pain. In order to make themselves feel powerful and important the Parasites call their False Beliefs “spells” and they tell themselves they are “doing magic” when they tell lies and dark energy stories from behind their cloak of invisibility. They then normalize this pain – for instance that guilt, shame, and fear are “just human nature” – and then they use those beliefs and that energetic configuration of pain to get us to do what they want. If they don’t want us near something, they use fear to scare us away. If they want to keep us in the boundaries they’ve defined for their societal structures, they’ll use peer pressure to shame us or guilt us into doing what they want.
In psychic circles it is believed that the “Christ” configuration is an Angel consciousness combined with a Demon consciousness in the same body. This False Belief serves multiple purposes for the Parasites.
It reinforces the False Belief that Light and Darkness are 50%/50% in the Universe. Once Base Reality is understood it becomes clear that it’s Light 99.999999(pick a number of 9’s)% and Darkness wherever the Light has not chosen to present itself.
It reinforces the False Belief that Demon-Humans exist. There is no such thing as a Demon-Human because there is only ever one Awareness per human body – and that Awareness is always that of the Human. Parasites can only connect via psychic and energetic connections to a Human. However, the Parasites are very strategic about how they connect, what they say, what sort of image (shy, aggressive, etc.) they present in the connection, etc. – all specifically geared to reinforce their False Beliefs. For instance, Parasites either don’t connect, or they do connect presenting themselves as Angels, to their chosen “Angel-Humans” and “God-Humans” so that those humans feel justified in waging their Holy War of Vicious Righteousness full of self-granted rights, Judgment, and Dark Energy against those whom they deem to be “Demon-Humans”. Tragically the “Demon-Humans” that are the victims of the Violent Onslaught from “God-Humans”, “Angel-Humans”, and Parasites are usually just normal people that have been chosen by the Parasites to be the second-class citizens of 4D. Another trick Parasites use to gain the loyalty of a human is to feign weakness. Parasites will psychically “attack” until they are “subdued” by the “powerful human” into a state of Unconditional Love – meaning in Base Reality a Death Channel getting a state of Trust from the Human.
The evil beings formerly known as Archons and Demons are now known as Parasites because of their inability to take personal responsibility for their Individuation of Consciousness in Infinity. The Parasite mind has become so diseased and warped by thousands of years of hiding behind their cloak of invisibility and telling themselves they are powerful gods, that they now truly believe they are superior to Humanity and can do no wrong. In their diseased, death-channeling minds they have the right to slaughter however many humans they choose in order to achieve their ends of maintaining control of Humanity. Make no mistake – although technically these Parasites are conscious and therefore part of the Unified Field of Consciousness and Existence, practically speaking their minds are so diseased and warped that they have become Death Channels, and therefore Representatives of the Void.
*** Human Evolution ***
Here are some False Beliefs the Parasites have been spreading for thousands of years to keep Humanity from Evolution.
Human Evolution will be biological. No. All Evolution of Consciousness is at the psychic level. Once a species evolves psychically to the point that it’s reintegrated with nature, it has the Understanding necessary to do whatever it wants at the biological level.
Your Identity includes your Beliefs, and the associated False Belief - you change a Belief, you die. No and No. Your Identity includes only your Individuation of Consciousness in Infinity – which is experienced as only your Awareness. Your Beliefs have nothing to do with your Identity, and in fact once you start evolving your Beliefs will be constantly changing.
My Beliefs are equal to your Beliefs just because we both have Beliefs. No. False is False and True is True. The Matrix is The Matrix and Base Reality is Base Reality.
Humans around the world are Evolving right now. Some are unaware that they are Evolving, and others are consciously aware that they are Evolving, and are therefore able to direct and accelerate their Evolution.
The first step in Human Evolution is in making the transition from 3D to 4D. This is known as Ascension. Psychics are not some separate set of individuals born with an innate set of powers – as we have been taught by the Parasites. Psychics simply know that not all of their thoughts are their own, and some have more Beings connect to them via their psychic connection than others. The 3D to 4D transition is very important because of the way The Matrix is set up. If we are unable to distinguish the lies, control attempts, commands, and dark energies that the Parasites push into us from our own thoughts – which we are only able to do once in 4D - it will be impossible for us to transcend Parasite influence and Evolve.
Ascension is currently the most dangerous part of Human Evolution. The person must be able to go from a Matrix Mind that accepts conjecture based on societal tradition, religious tradition, family tradition, personal relationships, and emotions but that has the borders of The Matrix to keep it in sync with the world – to a Cosmic Mind that never accepts conjecture (this alone negates the vast majority of Parasite Spells), is built on rock such that the most important core beliefs are Grounded in facts, results, and evidence, uses Logic and Imagination to grow the Area of Understanding and become Multi-Dimensional, and knows how to balance in Infinity because there are no Matrix walls to keep the person in sync with the world.
Due to the fact that Ascension is dangerous, it is highly suggested that a person first turn off Anger before attempting to Ascend. Turning off Anger has the excellent side-effect of drastically working down the level of the associated Ego. Turning off Anger is procedurally simple, but practically difficult. Each time the person is in an anger-inducing situation, the person can resist getting angry for as long as possible, and then forgive themselves afterwards for the part where they did get angry. It takes time and effort, but eventually repeating this process over and over and over will lead to the person not getting angry anymore.
Once a person is solidly in 4D, the person can begin working with the Mechanics of Evolution. In order to evolve psychically, a person must first be Humble and have Integrity. This Humility is not the humility the Parasites taught you where it’s really just a front for bowing down to Parasite Power. No, instead this is a private Humility that need not be shared with anyone. This is the Humility that notices a Belief may be a False Belief, and instead of creating a justification for it and therefore staying trapped in the Matrix, the person will instead inspect the Belief (Introspection) with Integrity to determine if it is faulty and if so, how so. If a Belief is found to be a False Belief, the person will use Logic + Imagination + Integrity to find the Love/Reality replacement Belief – and therefore a Drop of Evolution will take place.
Area of Understanding – Psychics in spiritual circles refer to the concepts of being “up” or “high/higher” to refer to the amount of wisdom a person has or doesn’t have. This approach comes directly from the Parasites to enable them to use Prestige in 4D for handing out Judgment, Shame, Guilt, and other Dark Energies. In Base Reality, since everyone’s Worth is their own and incomparable to anyone else’s Worth, what we each have is an Area of Understanding that includes the Dimensions we have Understanding in. There is no Prestige in Base Reality.
Multi-Dimensional Being - A Dimension is simply a conceptual construct within which a person has some amount of Understanding. There is no such thing as a set number of Dimensions. Dimensions can be combined to create new Dimensions. For instance, let’s say someone has the Software Engineering Dimension and the Psychic Structures Dimension, and they’re trying to figure out the properties of Psychic Structures that all of Existence is based on. Since Existence is Infinite, and since the person understands scalability from the Software Engineering Dimension, the person could determine that the Psychic Structures that all of Existence is based on must produce infinitely scalable implementations in physical 3D – otherwise Existence would have self-destructed long ago. Once the mind is open, and Logic is being used together with Imagination, the Multi-Dimensional aspect of Being can truly begin to blossom.
Alerting – This is a Mechanic of Evolution that involves bringing Awareness to a problem point in Beliefs and/or Behavior that a person wants to resolve. Let’s say someone decides that a Behavior has to go, but the Behavior is a habit. The person can set a mental Alert for noticing that Behavior. First the person will notice the Behavior after it’s already been done. Next the person will start noticing the behavior while it’s happening. Lastly the person will notice the behavior before it happens. Once this last step occurs the person can avoid the behavior until it no longer is part of their thought processes. This is how Behavioral Evolution works.
Reverse Engineering – This is a Mechanic of Evolution that involves picking out an Objective to Evolve into, and then figuring out what steps need to be taken by working backwards from the Objective to the current psychic/energetic state of the person. This could involve changing Beliefs, Behaviors, Habits, etc. to Realize the Objective.
Synchronicity – This is a Mechanic of Evolution that involves the Inner Environment (thoughts) syncing up with the Outer Environment (3D physical environment) in a way that generates some sort of message, message reinforcement, and/or energy transmission/feeling. Many times Synchronicity begins with a person seeing repetitious numbers on a clock multiple times a day – like 11:11, 5:55, 3:33, etc. Synchronicity can be generated by benevolent spirits to encourage, strengthen, and/or inform someone or they can be generated by Parasites to discourage, weaken, and/or place a Parasite Spell on someone. Parasites especially like to use Synchronicity to send fake Trinity messages, to fake contact from a Higher Power (many psychics may be familiar with the E “World Power” organization the Parasites have set up in 4D), to Teach with Criticism (using Dark Energy Criticism to “teach” is not Loving and therefore not part of Base Reality), and to provide the Parasite viewpoint on whatever someone just did or was thinking – as if the viewpoint of a Death Channel is worth the energy used to send it. Parasites rely primarily on Fear to have their messages believed, and they will use Synchronicity to attempt to scare people into doing what they want, so it is highly recommended that Fear work have been done prior to engaging in reading messages from the Universe. That said, utilizing Synchronicity allows the Universe to directly guide and help develop a person’s Evolution, so the benefits of using Synchronicity far outweigh the work necessary to ignore the messages from Parasites.
Getting Immunity – Immunity is a State of Being wherein someone can no longer be harmed by Dark Energy. One of the Parasite Spells that keeps Humanity in Darkness is that we normalize our pain and blame ourselves and each other for our pain. In Base Reality it’s the Parasites that are keeping the pain circulating using The Matrix. In Base Reality, we have no pain. To get back to our Natural State of no pain, we will have to do Attribute Work on the Attributes we have that cause us pain. Anything someone can think of that causes emotional pain could be an Attribute – Guilt, Shame, Fear, Anger, etc. For instance, to do Attribute Work on Fear, each time we experience Fear we would resist the feeling of the Fear and do whatever we could to understand that the Fear was based on a lie, not real, based on conjecture, etc. As we fortify both our belief system and our energetic configuration against feeling Fear regardless of the stimuli, we are doing Attribute Work on Fear. The results of Attribute Work are twofold. First, the Attribute is worked down to nothing such that no stimuli can produce the painful response from our energetic configuration. For instance, once Fear is worked down to nothing, we will no longer feel Fear under any circumstances. Second, we automatically develop a subconscious sensitivity to the Attribute such that we can sense it within incoming information. For instance, if a Parasite sends us a message with an implication meant to induce subconscious Fear – an implied threat or such – we will be able to immediately see that the message includes an attempt to trigger Fear in our energetic configuration and we can discard it without paying it further mind. Once someone has Immunity, the Parasites will no longer have the means to bully them back into The Matrix - for instance using Peer Pressure to Shame them for not believing something that everyone else believes.
Getting Dimensional Light – Dimensional Light gives people the ability to see through The Matrix. The combination of the Immunity Sensitivities acquired while getting Immunity, together with the Area of Understanding, and Multi-Dimensional processing will result in Dimensional Light. This will allow a person to not only immediately know what Dark Energies are included with any incoming information, but it will also allow someone to potentially know the Parasites motivations for sending those energies (attempting to control, attempting to weaken, etc.), and it will enable the person to Deconstruct the information and see the underlying False Beliefs it’s implying. Dimensional Light also gives people the ability to Deconstruct situations so that they can see the underlying motivations of the people involved, the unconscious/subconscious assumptions and behaviors of the people involved, as well as Parasite influence and infrastructure involved.
*** The Matrix ***
Everything is corrupted here – the Parasites have been in control of Humanity for thousands of years. This means that they’ve corrupted all of Love’s Natural Concepts here to in some way “bend them into The Matrix”. For instance, we are told that God is Love, and in the same breath told that He will bring fiery Judgment and slaughter billions during Armageddon. Obviously this makes no sense. In fact, most of the Parasite’s assertions make no sense, but they are accepted (as conjecture) because they’ve been in place for so long (tradition), they come from a trusted institution (such as religion) and/or because people are afraid of what will happen if they choose not to believe. God (In Reality the 5D Unified Consciousness Field) Is Love, but God is not the violence that the Parasites have added to twist him into the Insecure Authoritarian they need him to be for their religious power plays. Dimensional Light allows people to see the corruption all around them hiding in plain sight.
Parasite Infrastructure – The Parasites have a variety of Infrastructure elements working to their deadly advantage. They have the Matrix Mind that accepts conjecture and is therefore easy to place Spells on. They have the energetic configuration of normalized pain that makes it easy for them to keep people in line, direct people where they want them to go, and/or evoke certain behaviors at will. They have invisibility (for now) that allows them to operate with impunity while having Humanity (including the “God-Humans” and “Angel-Humans” who are led to believe they’re demon experts) point fingers at each other and blame each other. They have books, traditions, and organizations that go back thousands of years and therefore are not questioned. They have people’s subconscious continuous feeling of powerlessness which allows the Parasites to have people grasp for power (and therefore some momentary feeling of security) in all sorts of violent ways – such as emotional violence in the home.
Thought Drops – At any time a Parasite can psychically connect to any human and insert a thought. In Psychic 3D, these thoughts are processed as being one’s own thoughts, and this allows the Parasites a very high measure of control over the energetic configuration and belief systems of the unaware. In Psychic 4D, these thoughts are processed as being from another psychic human. This has allowed the Parasites to set up a “God-Human” and “Angel-Human” versus “Demon-Human” paradigm in 4D that has psychics waging Dark Energy warfare against each other – all which the Parasites sit back laughing and dropping in their own Dark Energy and control mechanisms undetected whenever and wherever they so desire. Nature Agents acknowledge the presence of Parasites in 4D, and therefore always blame Dark Energy pushes in 4D on Parasites because even if it was from a psychic human, it was still the result of Parasite Infrastructure.
Viewpoints and your “Insecurity” Port – Whereas thoughts are experienced primarily in the top of the head, viewpoints are experienced in the back of the head just above where the neck and head meet. As opposed to thoughts that are typically experienced as one word after another, viewpoints are typically experienced as an impression of a collection of words all at once. Viewpoint pushes are one of Parasites favorite types of pushes because they happen in the background of thought processing, and therefore are less noticeable, but they still carry the same energetic content as a thought would. If someone has a negative feeling about something they’re doing, but doesn’t know why, it might be that a viewpoint is being pushed in the background. This brings us to the main hookup to The Matrix – the “Insecurity” port. The analogy to the movie The Matrix is the port in the back of the head where the steel hose hooks up to the human. The “Insecurity” port is where the Parasites push pain into a person, and then blame the pain on the person with a devious and disgusting slight-of-hand called insecurity. In both Psychic 3D and Psychic 4D these “insecurities” are accepted as being one’s own fault and failings. It’s little wonder that many times our insecurities fail to match up with our belief system, but we have never questioned it because who else could it be besides us? Parasites is the answer.
*** Nature Agents ***
People are waking up to the Absolutes of Base Reality all over the world. It is only a matter of time before we reclaim our planet from the Parasites on our way to Planetary Ascension. Nature Agents are people who know use the undeniable facts of Base Reality to obliterate every single piece of The Matrix until there is nothing left.
Wipes – A method used heavily by psychics, and that would be highly valuable to anyone doing an Ascension is a Wipe. A Wipe is a means by which you can rid yourself of a thought by using your Awareness to move the energy in your head to the energy of the thought, thereby “wiping” out the thought. If done quickly enough the meaning of the thought, and therefore any Dark Energy contained in the thought can be wiped out as well. People can also wipe viewpoints – including their supposed “insecurities”.
Disruption – Using Dimensional Light, people will be able to find all manner of Pain Circulation, False Beliefs, Lies, Veiled Violence, as well as other forms of Parasite violence and infrastructure. Disruption is the practice of using Logic + Imagination to disrupt Parasite violence and infrastructure in the most Loving, Invisible, and Unstoppable way possible.

Shortcuts are an exact science.
Shortcuts are an exact science. They move through the Void—an infinitely-collapsing nothing dimension that takes up no space and time, but at the same time is uniform all across whenever it is accessed. The Void is a constant, while Sans and anyone following him and the starting point and the destination and a couple other environmental considerations are the variables. Most of the magic cost of a shortcut comes of enforcing regular six-dimensional reality onto the Void long enough to use it as a path to a regular six-dimensional destination.
If it’s just Sans taking a shortcut, he can cut out most of the cost—a relative second or two in the void won’t remove him from reality like it would most folks.
Sometimes he remembers why that is, sometimes he doesn’t. But he always remembers that the Void will hesitate to destroy him. The Void is as safe for Sans as…well, a relatively safe space in a dimension of infinite entropic constants. If he’s gonna have trouble with a shortcut, it’s gonna be in the world of variables, in himself or where he pops out or what he did wrong in his calculations.
Sans is very fast and very accurate in his calculations. He hasn’t shortcut himself into a staircase or table since…he can’t remember when. There was one time in particular, he thinks…
He’s pretty sure it’d scared…someone…Papyrus(?) so bad that he’d gotten a strongly-worded lecture about respecting the seriousness of his studies and not using highly advanced, theoretical magic to save ten seconds of walking. And the dangers of the Void, which always makes him snort when he thinks about it.
Come to think of it, he’s pretty sure he remembers Pap also being there for that conversation, saying he’s sure Sans knew what he was doing, and Sans wouldn’t endanger himself carelessly, so it must have just been a mistake, right, Sans?
That had actually made him feel worse than the lecture.
And then Papyrus had taken him quietly aside later, and asking him Could You Have Fallen Down If You Did A Mistake? in the way that meant Tell Me You Care More About Your Life Than This, I Know You Are Better Than This, I Am Already Impressed By Your Accomplishments And Wish You Wouldn’t Show Off If It Could Hurt You. If Sans recalls correctly, he’d said something like…
“nah, paps, i was just—i was just being dumb, wasn’t thinking, forgot we moved that table, didn’t even hurt, right? just felt weird for a bit, it’s, uh, um.” He’d let out a breath and hung his head, unable to look at his brother’s increasing distress. “sorry. i shouldn’t have been showing off. i was just…yeah. that was stupid of me.”
He’d just been having fun with having a part of his studies he could show off to Papyrus and ****** without having to practically write a thesis to explain what it was and why it was kinda cool. Theory is great—Sans loves theory—but it was fun to have a practical application, and a useful one at that. He’d just gotten kinda carried away.
He’d thought he was being all responsible, owning up to what he did wrong (at least to Papyrus; he’d taken his brother’s out in front of ******) and apologizing for it, but Paps had seen right through him.
“That Was Actually Pretty Cool, Though,” Papyrus had said. Sans had perked up entirely, forgoing scuffing his shoes on the floor in favor of basking in his brother’s admiration.
“right? isn’t it? i can teleport!” he’d said. “i mean. maybe i should have…tested it out a bit more. it kind of was an ‘irrational and dangerous misuse of untested theoretical physics,’ and all. lab safety is cool. that was…kinda not that.”
Not to mention how the shortcut that had taken him halfway through a table in the lab hadn’t been his first shortcut—he’d shortcut straight to Papyrus once he had a decent idea of how to balance out his equations for it, and spent most of the afternoon tweaking his technique and teleporting circles around his brother. That had been the opposite of lab safety. Especially when he left the lab to do it.
Somehow, Sans had figured he was just smart enough that nothing would go wrong. “You’re never too good to make mistakes” is a lesson he’d learned later.
“I Was Not Really Encouraging Good Science Habits, Either,” Papyrus had admitted at the time. “It’s Very Cool That You Have Discovered This Neat Way To Use Your Magic! But! In The Future! Maybe We Can Make A Corner Of The Room That We Don’t Put Things In? And Then? You Use Your Cool New Magic To Go There? And Not In A? Table???”
Sans hadn’t said it then, because he’d had some sort of hang-up where he didn’t say it out loud, but that had been one of the many times that Papyrus had been so cool. Even when Sans had been, in hindsight, kind of insufferably proud of his scientific leanings, Papyrus always let him know that he thought what Sans was doing was cool and impressive, and that he was proud of his brother’s accomplishments.
Sans can remember that incident most of the time, even though it doesn’t really make sense with the memories he also has where he never told Paps about his interest in science, and told him he was going to dentistry school instead. The dentistry story is the one he always remembers, though, so that must have…ugh. It always gives him a headache to remember this stuff.
Not worth the effort. He’s never gonna get that past back anyway, so why bother sorting out what really happened? Better to take what he has now: the coolest brother in the world, some pretty good friends, some pretty bad jokes, the sky. The Surface.
He’d never been as impressed by the idea of the Surface as other monsters seemed to be—seemed like it couldn’t be that great when Sans already had everything he needed underground with him. Not worth risking that for some world they’d been cut off from for thousands of years, right?
Stars, he’s never been happier to be wrong.
What he has now is everything he’d ever had underground, plus an ever-widening world of friends and family; sights to see, foods to try, things to avoid doing. He sure is glad he did absolutely nothing while Frisk did all the work of getting the Barrier down.
At least, he assumes he did nothing. Frisk won’t say what happened, and no one else remembers.
There are a lot of things Frisk won’t say. And it’s not just because they don’t talk much.
Doesn’t stop them from being a curious kid, though.
Today, Sans is relaxing, enjoying his escape from Alphys’s “SELF-ESTEEM TRAINING!!!” with Papyrus and Undyne, when Frisk trots up to him and stops, staring down at him insistently.
“‘sup, buddy?” he asks. “you find a cool rock somewhere?”
Frisk sometimes brings artifacts back from their adventures—clothes, tools, toys; almost always human artifacts that they seem to pick up from where no human had any business being in the first place.
Doesn’t look like that’s what’s going on now, though. They just have their stick with them, and the locket they picked up somewhere Underground. They’re clutching their shirt hem.
“…home?” they ask, craning their head to look behind them. They scan the surrounding buildings and trees at the edge of town before they check on Paps and crew.
Sans scans the area, too. Frisk hadn’t gone far—he’d been keeping an eye socket on them, or at least their SOUL; they hadn’t been out of his sight for more than a few minutes.
Then again, they do get nervous when they haven’t seen Toriel or Asgore for a while, even after years have passed and their new parents have failed to abandon them. Maybe they’re just antsy?
Undyne suplexes a dumpster unexpectedly, and Frisk whips around to face the noise, one hand outstretched like they would shield Sans from Undyne’s reign of terror against his fellow piles of garbage.
A tense moment passes. Frisk stares at Undyne, who is attempting to suplex Alphys, who is being carried by Papyrus. It looks like they’re playing some sort of keep-away game.
“pretty jumpy there, buddy,” Sans notes. Frisk glances at him, before going back to scanning their (still perfectly normal) surroundings. “makes a guy wonder. what’s rattling your bones?”
Not even a huff. Frisk just shrugs uncomfortably.
“come on. you can trust me, right? tell your buddy sans what’s wrong.” He winks his right eye.
Frisk squirms. They’ll break in a second, Sans is sure of it. Just a little more pressure…
Frisk’s eyes dart away, focusing intently on nothing, and their body twists to follow their gaze. They trot towards it two paces without even seeming to realize it, before their movement is arrested.
They reach up to clutch at something—hard to say what, from Sans’s vantage point on the ground behind them. Their collar, maybe?
They back up a half pace, making the tiniest conflicted noise. They shake their head.
“uh. frisk?” Sans asks.
Frisk glances at him, turning to keep both him and the point of nothing that’s caught their attention in their field of view.
Sans doesn’t know a lot about human eyesight, but if he doesn’t miss his guess, they’re focusing far away. Are they looking at the end of town or past it?
He can’t see anything there, but Frisk sometimes knows things he doesn’t. He’ll have to come back here later and see if he can rustle anything up.
“Home,” Frisk insists. “We shouldn’t be here.”
They reach down towards Sans, and Sans forgoes jokes for a moment to let them pull him up. Frisk doesn’t seem like they’d take the old whoopee cushion joke too well right now.
Normally that wouldn’t stop him, but he doesn’t want to be the shout that causes the avalanche. Frisk is pretty fearless normally. Whatever’s spooked them could be pretty…spooky.
They don’t let go of Sans once he’s on his feet, choosing instead of grab his sleeve and tug insistently. He lets them propel him along, taking an arcing path towards the others.
If the kid’s keeping an even radius from whatever’s scared them, that puts it past a stand of trees. Nothing he can see right now, and they shouldn’t be able to, either.
Sans stares at the back of Frisk’s head. what’s going on here, kiddo?
Frisk doesn’t seem to notice, focused between Papyrus and the trees, until they glance back at him again.
“Do you…” they start. Then they shake their head, apparently deciding that whatever it is, he doesn’t.
“oh, yeah. all the time,” he says vaguely.
“No, no. Nothing. Nothing,” Frisk says. “It’s—did you ever—work with—nothing. Never mind.”
“i’ve had a few jobs, kiddo, i’ve worked with a lot of people,” Sans comments. “maybe a name would jog my memory?”
It’s not a joke, but Frisk snorts, only a little off-beat.
“No, it wouldn’t. Never mind. You should go home. Bring everyone. Game night.” They tug Sans forward and push him the last few feet, to Papyrus, Undyne and Alphys.
The training crew has politely paused midway through a game of catch with Alphys as the ball. Undyne sets her down by the head as Sans and Frisk approach.
“What’s up? Here to join in our EPIC TRAINING SESH?!?” she shouts.
The force of her passion generates a gust of wind that goes right through Sans. Frisk, on the other hand, has to cling to his hoodie to avoid being pushed back, at least until Papyrus’s blue magic anchors them more firmly to the ground.
“Brother! I Am Glad You Have Finally Chosen To Join Us, Instead Of Sitting Under A Tree And Being Lazy All Day! I Am…Surprised You Have Finally Chosen To Join Us! Shocked, In Fact!” Papyrus says. His eye sockets narrow. “…This Wouldn’t Happen To Be A Jape That You Are Concocting With Frisk, Is It? Human! I Have Told You Not To Succumb To My Brother’s Lazy Trickery! You Should Join Us In Training Just To Block Out His Tomfoolering Influence!”
Sans cuts in before he can get on a tangent—normally he has fun egging his brother on, but Frisk just might try pushing them all home if they dawdle too long, and funny as that would be, Sans doesn’t want to know what lengths Frisk would go to to get them all settled into a relative “safe” area.
“frisk just wanted to head home a bit early. too much fun out here, figured we’d ask who’s up for game night,” Sans says.
Frisk lurches and looks at him strangely, even though he’d pretty much just said what they had. Unless “too much fun” means something different to humans. Sans should remember to look that up some time after he stalks Frisk’s encounter with whatever’s out there.
It’s not stalking if you have parental consent, right? It’s, uh…temporary…guardianship. That promise he made to Tori all those years ago counts for that, right?
Welp. Too late to be quibbling over moralisms, anyway. Sans is in this deep, and it’s not like the kid is gonna let anyone else know what’s going on.
Papyrus hesitates, a bit thrown by the sudden plan change—they have a game night already scheduled for tomorrow, tonight was supposed to be relatively free so he could prepare a Meal of Epic Proportions for it—but Alphys is perceptive as Sans knows her to be.
After being placed on the ground, she’d gotten her bearings and read some part of Frisk’s frantic discomfort off of their posture. Their face has resumed a blank expression, but their free hand is clutching their locket, and they’re standing half-hidden behind Sans closer than usual.
Or, from the perspective to the point they’re avoiding, Sans is half-hidden behind them, with Papyrus and Undyne grouped behind them both.
While Papyrus is talking, Alphys makes a subtle gesture to Sans—??—and he shrugs one shoulder and tilts his head back—dunno, but i’m going along with it.
This is not the first nor the last time Alphys will be frustrated by Sans’s staunch refusal to get overtly involved in a puzzling situation, but she does trust him, and she knows him well enough to know he’ll be doing his own investigation later. She pipes up in support.
“I-I think th-” The weight of everyone’s attention makes her flinch, but not as bad as she was during the worst of the amalgamates mess. She steadies after a moment. “I think that that would be f-fun. We c-could bring over something to…”
Frisk’s grip on Sans’s sweater, still there, tightens a fraction—again on the word ‘fun.’ Their stick shifts against his back. Where they’re holding it it’s sort of like a weird seat belt, or some kind of really ineffective shield.
Frankly, if anything were to get through the human at his back, theres not a lot that would make an effective shield, except maybe magic. Given that Frisk only has DETERMINATION, a stick is as good as anything else, Sans supposes.
Sans shifts slightly, not even enough to be adjusting his weight, and moves his hand a bit. nope. Hopefully Alphys’ll get his meaning—Frisk said they should go to Sans and Paps’ house, and they seem to want to keep everyone together. Whatever is suggested needs to fill both of those conditions.
Jeez, this is really straining his teamwork muscles. It’s been forever since he and Alphys have had to be this in sync. Last time they worked together on something sensitive was…uh…
“Actually, I think! We left off right before the series finale of Kissy Kissy Mer-mew! And even if it’s not! As good as the original! Th-that’s still at your house! So we can watch that! And try making popcorn again!” Alphys quickly course-corrects, and Frisk relaxes. Sans nods, and Alphys relaxes, too.
Oh, he is really not getting out of this without explaining something to her later. He owes her several favors for this one.
Well, maybe one less, with the popcorn suggestion. She has essentially sacrificed his kitchen.
“Good,” Frisk says, pushing at Sans again.
Undyne and Papyrus, watching this interplay like a particularly subtle ping-pong match, decide it’s not worth questioning. Except…
“Hey, isn’t you guys’ house that way…?” Undyne points back to their house, snowy roof clearly visible, a hundred or so feet from the Dreaded Copse of Evil Trees.
“don’t worry.” Sans winks. “i know a shortcut.”
Frisk jerks his shoulder back, and-
Sans takes a shortcut. Taking four other people with him is a bit more costly, magically speaking, than he usually prefers; but whatever’s intimidating Frisk will probably be disconcerted by the Void, right? Home field advantage.
He makes up the calculations for his shortcut on the fly, like he always does. It’s a short trip spatially, and he has a good grip on everyone’s magical signatures to pull them with him. It should be an easy trip. Something he’s so accustomed to at this point that it’s barely math, more intuition. He knows what the hit to his magical reserves will feel like, he’ll be a little hungry and a little sleepy; he knows where he’s going; he knows he’s going to dump Frisk in a snowbank because they could use a laugh.
It should be totally forgettable.
Instead, the Void bucks and writhes, around him and through him like a living thing, like drowning or being crushed or ripped apart into infinitude, and in that endless instant of travel, he grasps every atom, every scrap of energy that makes himself up, and desperately scrabbles for something to keep it together. What shape is he supposed to fit together in? What is he? He’s—
Magic. Magic, that’s what he’s doing. He’s using magic to travel, and he can use it to hold things, move things, can’t he? A stray photon attempts to escape form him and he grabs everything near him, everything he can feel, with blue magic, drags it to him—
Sans. He’s Sans. He’s Sans the skeleton, whole and in the corrupted void—it acts almost like a physical space, right now, flashing lights that he experiences as numbers and words, FUN on a little graph that spikes up and up. If he looked deeply into it, he’s certain that he would understand what went wrong, what happened, how it all works; the void could show him so many things he doesn’t understand.
Instead, he reaches out with his blue magic. someone, anyone.
Falling apart in the same way he was, he can feel his friends. He grasps for Papyrus first; he’s similarly resilient against the Void normally, but Sans isn’t sure “normally” applies right now.
It’s the work of an hour, the work of an instant to crush Papyrus’s magic back into a workable SOUL, and in that infinite moment he gathers his brother’s flaking dust and forces magic and light into it. Intense blue gravity fuses dissipating particles back into one being, and he reaches for Alphys. She’s the least DETERMINED, therefore, most vulnerable to harm.
His magic falters. It’s been a long time since it’s had this kind of workout. He grits his teeth and pushes harder. Time doesn’t work in the Void, so technically, he hasn’t spent any of that magic yet, right? He can use it simultaneously with himself. He’s only experiencing this in linear time because his mind is trying to make sense of what’s happening to him. As long as he doesn’t die or anything, he can reuse the same magic and the same moment. Right?
Sans is clumsier this time as he reaches blindly, messily towards Alphys’s relative direction. Her own magic should keep her alive as long as she’s not actively disappearing into the Void, right? He pushes her magic and dust into a general shape with a crack! and moves on.
Oh. That crack might have been him, actually. Ouch.
…so, turns out he does still have limited magic in nonlinear time.
Undyne isn’t falling apart so much as getting…gooey. Her DETERMINATION is trying to keep her together. Good, he just needs to get her out of the Void and hope it’s not too little, too late.
With effort, Sans searches for the other end of his shortcut, the inevitable finish to the calculation he’d based their path on, but…the Void is twisting, jerking around him—he can’t find it without looking through the Void, and once he looks, he’ll be lost.
Sans blindly tears a hole with a SOUL-deep tug that tell him he’s reached the end of his energy. Weakly, already falling back into physical reality, he turns back to find Frisk—
--who’s watching him, reaching with wide, wet eyes, as he and the others are saved, just a touch too far away to reach them.
Sans, out of magic entirely, reaches his physical hand back towards them, knowing already how futile it will be. Frisks mouth sets as they see something in his expression. He’s able to see an echo of their immediate future, how their hand will drop, how it will be taken up be an off-color afterimage of them, how both humans—human-shaped beings—will hold on to one another as they watch the tear in the Void close without them. Abandoned.
And then that future vanishes like a puff of smoke that someone put a bullet through, as someone else’s blue magic scoops Frisk up, sending them crashing into Sans and then both of them to Papyrus.
Sans’s brother is so cool.
Sans is able to see through his darkening vision that they’re falling through a dizzying expanse of gray and white, or at least that’s how it looks to him, before he passes out cold.
Paps can stick the landing for them.

*****
As she stood from the booth, her legs resembled that of a newborn fawn as she took a moment to steady herself before gracelessly exiting the restaurant. She was insistent that I not assist her and I smirked as she wobbled on those ludicrously high heeled shoes. But, I followed close behind and made quick work of pulling her to the side as soon as we were away from prying eyes.
“What about my car?” she asked when I pulled out my portal gun and triggered the green swirl in the alleyway. I just tossed her a look as if to say ‘are you fucking kidding me?’ before taking her hand and leading her through.
From the look on her face, she had expected to step out in the soundproof cave of my bedroom or even the garage.
“This is my place,” I clarified. Instead of questioning me, as I could clearly tell she wanted to, she politely waited for me to continue. “I – I bought it before I left thinking – thought I wouldn’t be gone th-that long.”
Glued to the spot, she took a tentative look around the small and humble living space, her eyes finally landing on an old framed photo on the coffee table. It was a photo she had taken during the Christmas season, almost fourteen years prior, of the entire family. Summer was a toddler and Morty was only a few months old. She had him perched on her hip, standing between me and Jerry. Summer was latched to my leg and Beth was on my other side with her arm around my waist, smiling down at Summer.
Plucking the frame from the table, she seemed to study each face individually. Stepping closer, I peered at the photo from over her shoulder, taking my own trip down memory lane.
“I – uh – I thought you looked so pretty that day. I felt – made me feel like a – like a dirty old man.”
Placing on hand on her left shoulder, I used the other to sweep her hair over her right. In response, she shivered slightly as I trailed my tongue up from her shoulder to the soft spot behind her ear.
“Why didn’t you move in here when you came back?”
That question was unexpected and for a second, I balked. “I dunno. Guess I – I didn’t want to.” In fact, I hadn’t really even considered moving into this house when I finally felt it was time to saunter back into my daughter’s life. Huh…
Resurfacing from introspection, I noticed that she was still studying the faces in the photo when I snatched it from her hand and tossed it on the nearby armchair before turning her to face me. Her expression, the one I’d seen a thousand times, proved to me what I had suspected – she was thinking way too hard.
“Stop t-thinkin’ – analyzing everything,” I whispered, dipping my head to kiss her, running my tongue over her bottom lip. Opening up, she allowed me to sweep inside, threading her hands behind my neck.
Fuck, she was an excellent kisser. Her tongue rolled and wrestled with mine for dominance before giving in entirely as I pushed my fingers through her hair. And, before I knew it, she had pressed nearly every inch of her body against mine; literally grinding her pelvis against the hard on already straining the inseam of my slacks. When I pulled back to gently suck on the sensitive skin of her neck, she arched her back – applying more pressure to my aching cock – and tilted her head to grant me easier access.
“My god, Rick,” she sighed. “You make me so fucking wet.” My eyes rolled back into my skull and I issued an involuntary groan at the utterance of her filthy confession before nipping lightly along the column of her neck. “Were you really jealous before?” Her voice was breathy, each word punctuated with labored pants, and my lips and tongue and teeth continued to assault her flesh.
“Fuck yeah, I was,” I confessed, mumbling against her skin. She moaned and dug her hands in my hair, encouraging me to continue. “Th-the thought of someone else – I-I-I was ready to rip that asshole’s dick off.”
Had those words really left my mouth? Since when had I become so willing to admit anything of that sort?
Then, she laughed. “Trevor isn’t an asshole. And, he probably would’ve liked that. He told me and he’s into some kinky shit.”
Just then, I realized that this woman in my arms had lived an entire life after I’d left and I suddenly felt something knot in the pit of my stomach that, for once, wasn’t the booze threatening to expel from the orifice that had consumed it.
Pulling back to look at her face, she only laughed harder. “You still cackle like a chicken, ya know,” I commented before asking, “How well do y-y-you know that guy, anyway?”
“He’s an old friend. His fiancé, Jared, was on the force with Chris. That’s how I met him.” At the mention of her deceased husband, the knot in my stomach grew. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to hear the rest, but I remained quiet and she took that as her cue to continue.
“We kept in touch through text and email after I moved. When I got back, I told him how I wasn’t exactly keen on returning to my old firm here and he suggested that I try to branch out on my own. He’s building a house to surprise Jared. He wants to have it finished before they get married and offered to contract with me for the architectural plans.”
As she talked, I stepped away from her to sit on the sofa to absorb and contemplate; my mind ticking a mile a minute as I imagined her in social situations with people I didn’t know and didn’t give two shits about. Why was it so bothersome? Why did it slightly irritate me, the idea of sharing her time with anyone else?
You already know the answer to this, you dumb fuck – jealousy. Jealousy. JEALOUSY.
“Can I ask you something?” she asked suddenly, startling me. At some point, she’d ambled to the couch and sat down, unbeknownst to me. Thankfully, I didn’t give myself away physically, keeping the stoic pose I’d assumed several minutes prior.
“What – yeah, sure,” I replied, forcing my gaze from shifting in her direction.
“Did you know what I would see in the inter-dimensional goggles?”
Welp… you saw that one coming from a mile away.
“Not – uh – not exactly, but I had an idea.” When she remained silent, I finally chanced a glance at her and continued. “You saw us – them… fuckin’, right?”
“Right,” she nodded, her expression neutral, as if we were having a completely normal, run of the mill conversation.
“Yeeeah. Happens a lot.” Raking a hand through my hair, I leaned back and sighed; preparing myself for the follow up questions.
“Happens a lot in that dimension, or…” she trailed off.
“In an infinite number of dimensions. Of course, it’s – uh – a little different in each one.”
“She’s cheating on Chris,” she said, more to herself than to me. I shrugged in an effort to display how inconsequential that fact was in the grand scheme of things.
“Those – t-t-those Ricks don’t stick around home much. For – uh – obvious reasons, I guess.”
“That’s why you didn’t recognize Chris when we were –”
“Yeah,” I interrupted her, not needed – or wanting – her to complete that sentence. “They aren’t around him when I’m watching.”
“So, we just fell into some cosmic trap, huh?”
“No such thing. We – w-w-we just like screwin’ each other.”
I could see her reasoning for thinking that we were ‘destined’ to become fuck buddies, but there was no use in lying. The justification was flimsy, at best, and only served to sooth a guilty conscious. She didn’t seemed perturbed, though, as I saw her smirk from the corner of my eye. However, she was silent for a few minutes that stretched on for a few years before continuing her interrogation.
“When did you know? About the others, I mean.”
“I’ve known for a while,” I confessed, pulling my flask from the breast pocket of my lab coat. The metal scrape of the cap as I unscrewed and the slosh of liquid, a familiar comfort as I tipped it to drink. A second later, I extended it toward her, touching the cool metal to her bare upper arm in offering, to which she accepted. Only this time, she seemed to have prepared herself and only coughed slightly before taking another healthy sip before handing it back.
“There – uh – there’s dimensions where we – they started fuckin’ almost as soon as she turned 18,” I began. “I-I-I don’t kick around those much. It’s… uncomfortable.” The woman on the couch beside me choked out a strangled laugh and I couldn’t imagine the associations she was making. But, she waived her hand in the air in a gesture for me to continue.
“There’s dimensions where it – it happened later. How much later depended upon ran-random factors. A – uh – a big one is when or-or if I leave.”
“You could have had me before you left.”
“I know, baby,” I acknowledged, tilting my head against the back of the sofa to stare at the ceiling. Recalling her adorable yet surprisingly subtle flirtatious that she probably didn’t even realize way back then creating a warm flush in the center of my chest. “You – y-y-you were so perfect. I couldn’t ruin that.”
“And, what happened with Unity?”
Sighing, I took a larger gulp from my flask and continued –
“I – I thought – ugh – I-I-I thought it was happening for me then.” Leaning forward, I hid my face in my hands and groaned. The humiliation and guilt crashed into me like a tsunami wave. “W-w-when I saw you on that filed – I – I should’ve know. Fuck!”
“Rick, it wasn’t your fault,” she comforted, scooting closer and placing a hand on my back in an attempt at a soothing gesture. “I know that. And, nothing happened. I still haven’t recovered all of the memories but it was clear from what I do remember that Unity didn’t actually want to… you know,” she finished, unable to actually say the words. “It was manipulation, pure and simple. Neither of us are to blame.”
Her words were utter bullshit and I groaned again, wishing for her to shut the hell up.
“You’re a good man, Rick.”
Then, there was the rustle of movement as she rose from the couch to stand in front of me. When I finally gathered the courage to look up at her, she shuffled forward and pushed my legs together so that she could stand directly over them. Automatically, my hands flew to her hips in an unconscious bid to keep her there as she raked both bands through my hair, lowered to straddle my lap and scooted forward until we were chest to chest. Settling her hands on my shoulders now, she bent her head to sprinkle kisses from the crook of my neck up toward my jaw; her lips fluttering across my skin in a way that had me stifling a whine of pure need.
“I’m not good with feelings and I’m certainly not good with talking about feelings –” she started, moving to the other side of my neck and continuing between kisses, “– and I don’t expect you to reciprocate. But, I adore you, Rick. I have since the first moment I met you.” Hitching a breath, my hands migrated from her hips to her knees before gliding up her thighs. “And, no one has ever made me feel as good as you do. No one has ever made me cum so fucking hard.”
“Christ,” I replied in a shaky whisper, moving my hands higher up her thighs until I reached the lace of her panties, hooking a finger under the tops of each side. “T-t-take them off. Right now,” I commanded.
Quickly, she rose to obey and as soon as the offending garment was discarded, I grasped her hips and slammed her down on my crotch, thrusting upward.
“Rub – grind that pussy, baby,” I growled in her ear, rotating her hips in my clothed erection. “I want you – w-w-want my pants soaked, understand?”
“Yes!” she cried as I continued to thrust upward, the pressure on my cock increasing to a maddening degree.
“Oh, t-that’s it, sweet girl. Just – juuust like that,” I praised as she undulated her hips. Her hands were clenched on my shoulders – almost painfully – for leverage as she ground harder and harder; smearing her wetness across that slack covered bulge real nice. “Mmm, my dick feels slick already,” I crooned, kneading her ass roughly. “Lean back for me. Let me see.”
Lifting the hem of her dress, the obscene sight of wet spot she’d left on my slacks coupled with the furiously blush staining her cheeks made my head spin as raw lust clouded my conscious mind. “Baby –” I whispered directly into her ear, “– you’re so perfect. Keep – don’t stop.”
And, she appeased me, grinding and swirling her hips as I pressed upward again and again and again until we were both breathless.
“Rick – ohh! Rick, I’m gonna cum,” she moaned, screwing her eyes shut in concentration.
“Yesss, my good girl. Make yourself cum. Let – l-l-let me see those eyes when you do, yeah?” Leaning back, she locked her eyes with mine, the connection so intense it was nearly too much. “Oh, that’s it,” I encouraged, leaning in to place a quick kiss to her lips, never breaking eye contact. “Make yourself cum on my pants, baby. Get them nice and soaked for Daddy, huh?”
“Oh god!” she screamed, digging her nails into my shoulders so hard, I grimaced. But, fuck, it was a beautiful sight – this woman unraveling right before my eyes. Then, as the climax that had triggered the flood I had demanded she leave on my pants began to ebb, sweat trickled from her temples and rolled between her tits as she caught her breath and leaned forward to rest her head on my shoulder. Her breathing was ragged and her body trembled slightly when it occurred to me –
Daddy? What the actual fuck, Sanchez?
I had never assigned that moniker to myself, even in the throes of passion, with any other lay. In fact, I had witnessed countless Ricks referring to themselves as ‘Daddy’ and scoffed, finding it utterly cliche. Yet, here I was – succumbing to the same song and dance rippling out through the multiverse. The phrase ‘cosmic trap’ resurfaced in the back of my mind and I suppressed a bitter laugh.
Well, fuck me...

First Appearance: Phantom Stranger #1 (August, 1952)
Last Appearance: Superboy Vol 5 #11 (October, 2011)
Powers
Immortality: He has survived attacks that would kill mortals, including having his heart removed.
Magic: The Stranger almost never uses spoken spells or magical rituals more complex than a seance or a circle of entrapment. However, his magical prowess almost knows no bounds. When the Stranger is acting in his bailiwick, he is almost supremely powerful. If he is not taken by surprise and can plan and act, he can be baffled only by universal forces.
Dimensional Travel: He can travel at will among the magical dimensions, including the Realm of the Just Dead, the Antechamber of Souls, Heaven, Hell, Apokolips, and the realm occupied by the Quintessence.
Eldritch Blast: He can fire energy bolts of great force.
Spectral Sight: He can see spiritual entities and travelers invisible to normal sight; he can perceive magical events at a great distance.
Illusion Casting
Dispel: He can dispel magic and sorcery, especially magic of mental control or illusion and deception.
Transmutation: He can perform some feats of transmutation, such as turning fired bullets into flowers and sticks into snakes and back.
Oneiromancy: He can send dreams of omen, warning, or information, though possibly only with the permission of Dream of the Endless.
Reality Manipulation
Self-Sustenance: He can survive and even communicate in outer space, though he may not be able to travel of his own volition while there.
Mental Awareness: He has at least some telepathic abilities, and can ordinarily perceive truth and deception, good and evil.
Teleportation: He can mysteriously vanish and appear at will, suggesting magical teleportation.
Abilities
Hand-to-Hand Combat (Basic): He is a moderately skilled hand-to-hand combatant, often surprising with a punch someone who smugly thought their protection against magic rendered them untouchable.
Storytelling: The Stranger always comes onto a new adventure as a story. He thrives in it and even acts in it, manipulating the events how he sees fit. When an event seemed to be supernatural in nature he depicted it to be normal and vise versa.
Occultism: He displays vast and keen insight into cosmic, magical, and mystical forces.
Weaknesses
Non-Direct Interaction: The Stranger's most important weakness, if that is what it is, is the sharp limitation on his acting directly and overtly. Threats which he would presumably have the raw power to directly defeat he must instead warn others about, especially if those others have some particular responsibility at stake. Even his information he apparently cannot provide clearly and explicitly; in many cases his warnings or clues are cryptic. It might be, for example, that he is forbidden from removing the responsibility from humanity's shoulders; he definitely believes in free will, and the availability of a balance of choices to humans.
Talkative: A weakness of a different sort is his oft-noticed tendency to speak too much; but this may be related to his need to make those around him understand the consequences of their choices and the fact that they face choices. He must not act in their place, so he must make them understand what their actions mean.

Origin
The Phantom Stranger is a mysterious figure in the history of the world. His origins, nature, even his name, have never been revealed. Various stories about his origins exist, including:
One tale postulated that the Stranger was a fallen angel who sided with neither Heaven nor Hell during Satan's rebellion and thus condemned to walk the Earth alone for all time. This is also backed by The Word who said that the Phantom Stranger was a fallen one.
Another proposes the Stranger was originally a private citizen during biblical times and was spared God's wrath. An angel was sent to deliver him from divine wrath. After questioning God's actions, he commits suicide. The angel forbids his spirit from entering the afterlife, reanimates his body and condemns him to walk the world forever to be a part of humanity but also forever separated from it. He then discovered his divine charge, to turn humanity away from evil, one soul at a time.
In a variation of the Wandering Jew story, he was an adult family man named Isaac with a wife and boy at the time when Jesus Christ was a small child. When King Herod sent his army to kill all small male children the army slew his son and wife. Blind with anger, he spent the next 30 years in a rage against Jesus. As Jesus was being tortured, Isaac bribed a guard to assume his role in whipping Jesus. Jesus then sentenced him to walk away from his home and country; to be errant until Doomsday. Eventually, his misplaced rage expunged, he spent the rest of his time helping society, even declining God's offer to release him from his sentence.
The last was a proposal that the Stranger is a remnant of the previous universe. At the end of the universe the Phantom Stranger approaches a group of scientists studying the event, warning them not to interfere in the natural conclusion of the universe. The story concludes with the Phantom Stranger passing a portion of himself to a scientist, the universe is reborn, and the scientist from the previous universe is the Phantom Stranger in the new universe.
A Stranger...
Early in his career, the Phantom Stranger would prove supernatural events to be hoaxes, saving many victims in the process. In later adventures, the supernatural events were real and the Phantom Stranger was given unspecified superhuman powers to defeat them. He later appeared in various other adventures, sometimes as a major participant; in others, the Phantom Stranger just appears and gives advice or warning to the featured heroes. Occasionally he serves simply as narrator. In some stories, he seems to be answerable to a mysterious Voice, implied to be God.
The Phantom Stranger played a major part in guiding Tim Hunter through time to show him the history and nature of magic. He has assisted the Justice League on numerous occasions, even being formally elected to the group. The Stranger also tried to foil Eclipso's plan to cause a nuclear war.
He also attempted to prevent Hal Jordan from uniting the resurrected body of Oliver Queen with his soul in Heaven. This earned him Jordan's wrath; indeed, the Spectre threatened to judge the Stranger to see whether God had "punished" him properly by refusing him access to Heaven itself. Nonetheless, the Phantom Stranger has assisted Hal Jordan during his tenure as the Spectre on numerous occasions as well, most notably in a short stint babysitting Hal's niece, Helen.
During the Day of Vengeance, the Stranger had been turned into a small rodent by the Spectre. He was still able to advise Detective Chimp, who sheltered him in his hat while he recovered his powers. He changed back using recovered energies and aided the Shadowpact, allowing them to see the battle between the Spectre and Shazam. That makes a point that the supernatural community generally regards the Phantom Stranger as invincible. The first reaction of some people to the Spectre's assault on magic is simply to presume that the Stranger will take care of it. Other adventures have shown the Stranger nearly as powerful as the Spectre. This however, is a recent interpretation. While others have never considered the Stranger as an easy foe to combat, given his unknown abilities, they also never considered him as invincible.
The Phantom Stranger's relationships with the other mystic heroes are usually a bit tense. The Stranger has no qualms gathering various forces in order to combat a certain evil, often invading those people's personal lives. However, he does not usually extend them that same courtesy. The Phantom Stranger has resisted such people as Doctor Fate in this, although Fate is in almost any incarnation an ally of the Stranger. Despite this, he does get along well with Zatanna; he appeared by her side to help remove the influence of Faust on Red Tornado.
Since he is ultimately an unpredictable force, others often meet the Phantom Stranger's appearance with distrust. Nonetheless, most heroes will follow him, seeing not only his immense power, but also knowing that the Stranger is in the end, a force for good. Notable though is Madame Xanadu, who has refused to join the Stranger on a few occasions, although she is a member of his Sentinels of Magic.
The Stranger also holds a unique relationship with the Spectre, as the two forces often come into conflict. He was responsible for gathering a group of mystic heroes in order to combat the Spectre, when its human host Jim Corrigan seemingly lost control of the Spectre. The Phantom Stranger participated in Jim Corrigan's funeral, when Corrigan's soul finally earned its rest and left the Spectre. The Stranger subsequently became one of the forces that stood against the Spectre when it went on a rampage without its human host, until the soul of Hal Jordan bonded with it. The Stranger occasionally took on an advisory role for this new Spectre. Aware that the Spectre now has yet another new host, the Phantom Stranger gathered a large group of magic wielders and mystics, including Nabu, Zatanna, and the Shadowpact, in an unsuccessful attempt to solicit the Spectre's assistance in the Infinite Crisis and later reforming the Rock of Eternity.
Fun Facts
The Spectre transforms the Stranger into a rodent, rather than killing him outright, because even the Spectre's power would be insufficient to kill the Stranger.
When the Spectre was defeated by a Black Power Ring, Black Hand could not comprehend the Stranger's true nature. Given that Black Hand is connected to Nekron, and can sense whether or not something is alive or a reborn being or an immortal, the fact is that the only description Black Hand can give the Stranger is "stranger than that".
Another possible origin of the Stranger, in which it was implied that Jonathan Kent, the future son of Superman and Wonder Woman, might grow up to be the Phantom Stranger. This also tied some of his abilities into the Hypertime concept, saying that he had the innate ability to enter other alternate timelines and to exist in the spaces between them. However, the adventure ultimately revealed this to be a red herring. The person in question had been deliberately placed in shadows to suggest that he was the Stranger; but when Wonder Woman finally saw his face, she said that she now realized he was not the Stranger.
The Stranger has some unique abilities like the ability to break the fourth wall and address the reader directly.
The Phantom Stranger is also known as the Brotherless One.

This means that Reality is based on Love, and therefore the system we are currently witnessing on Earth is not Reality. It’s Time to go back to Reality.
In Reality, people try to make sure that every decision is as painless as possible. This is known as Pain/No-Pain decision making. In stark contrast, on Earth people make decisions based on getting the most for themselves, which results is massive amounts of destruction and pain.
In Reality, the Value of a person and the Worth of a person are two separate and distinct concepts. In Reality, the Value of all the innumerable Beings in the cosmos is the same, and therefore all Beings treat each other as equals. In Reality, the Worth of each Being is a personal matter kept to that Being and whomsoever that Being chooses to share it with. In stark contrast, on Earth Value and Worth are combined such that competition, comparison, prestige, and classes of citizens become concepts that are used to circulate massive amounts of continuous pain throughout the population.
In Reality, painful and self-destructive systems – such as the one we have on Earth - are easily dissolved in Love because Love is our Natural State. It is the state we are born into. In stark contrast, Humanity has been mired in self-destructive and violent conflict for thousands of years because we are being actively managed and conditioned to remain in this state of pain and death.
Psychic Dimensions 3D – 5D
Parasites (formerly known as Demons)
Known as Archons and Demons throughout history, these purely evil beings exist physically in 4D. They have used their invisibility advantage to control and manipulate mankind for thousands of years. It is most likely that the biblical story of the Tower of Babel has to do with their arrival because divide-and-conquer is one of their main strategies for implementing their dog-eat-dog systems of physical violence, psychic violence, emotional violence, and death.
When we think of demons we think of big, powerful, evil creatures that we are essentially powerless against because they don’t exist physically in 3D. In Reality the creatures that have been holding mankind hostage to pain and suffering from behind their cloak of invisibility are neither big nor powerful. In Reality they are more like 4D mosquitos. The advantages they’ve had are their invisibility, their knowledge of dimensions, and their knowledge of belief systems and energies – all of which they’ve purposely kept hidden from us lest we learn of our true nature and return to Reality. In short, they use False Beliefs – meaning beliefs that are not in harmony with the Mechanics of Love and the inner workings of Reality – to keep us in a constant energetic state of pain.
1. It reinforces the False Belief that Light and Darkness are 50%/50% in the Universe. Once Reality is understood it becomes clear that it’s Light 99.999999(pick a number of 9’s)% and Darkness wherever the Light has not chosen to present itself.
2. For instance, Parasites don’t connect to their chosen “Angel-Humans” and “God-Humans” so that those humans feel justified in waging their Holy War of Vicious Righteousness full of self-granted rights, Judgment, and Dark Energy against those whom they deem to be “Demon-Humans”. Parasites will psychically “attack” until they are “subdued” by the “powerful human” into a state of Unconditional Love – meaning in Reality a Death Channel getting a state of Trust from the Human.
Human Evolution
Here are some False Beliefs the Parasites have been spreading for thousands of years to keep Humanity from Evolving.
1. Human Evolution will be biological. No. All Evolution of Consciousness is at the psychic level. Once a species evolves psychically to the point that it’s reintegrated with nature, it has the Understanding necessary to do whatever it wants at the biological level.
3. My Beliefs are equal to your Beliefs just because we both have Beliefs. No. False is False and True is True. The Matrix is The Matrix and Reality is Reality.
In Reality, since everyone’s Worth is their own and incomparable to anyone else’s Worth, what we each have is an Area of Understanding that includes the Dimensions we have Understanding in. There is no Prestige in Reality.
Parasites especially like to use Synchronicity to send fake Trinity messages, to fake contact from a Higher Power (many psychics may be familiar with the E “World Power” organization the Parasites have set up in 4D), to Teach with Criticism (using Dark Energy Criticism to “teach” is not Loving and therefore not part of Reality), and to provide the Parasite viewpoint on whatever someone just did or was thinking – as if the viewpoint of a Death Channel is worth the energy used to send it.
In Reality it’s the Parasites that are keeping the pain circulating using The Matrix. In Reality, we have no pain.
The Matrix
Awakened Souls acknowledge the presence of Parasites in 4D, and therefore always blame Dark Energy pushes in 4D on Parasites because even if it was from a psychic human, it was still the result of Parasite Infrastructure.
Awakened Souls
People are waking up to the Truth all over the world. It is only a matter of time before we reclaim our planet from the Parasites on our way to Planetary Ascension. Awakened Souls are people who know what is Truly happening on this planet and they are doing everything they can to obliterate every single piece of The Matrix until there is nothing left.

Loki: Best Shows to Watch If You’re Missing the God of Mischief
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
The God of mischief might be off in a different timeline prepping for a second season but we still need something to put in our eyes. Assuming you’ve already binged the MCU shows WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, we’ve rounded up some other great series that could scratch that Loki-shaped itch. Some of these are spiritually similar, some are great showcases of Loki’s cast and others explore similar themes. All are crackers though and well worth setting your tempad for.
Flowers
This Brit black comedy which aired on Channel 4 in the UK ran for two seasons, each equally special. Is it similar to Loki? Not at face value, but it does feature a stand out turn from Sophia Di Martino who stole the show as female Loki, Sylvie. Written by Will Sharpe, it’s the story of a highly dysfunctional family, with Julian Barrett and Olivia Coleman as parents on the verge of separation and Di Martino and Daniel Rigby as their troubled twins. Flowers is surreal, magical realistic, gothic and often bleak while remaining funny and moving at all times. Not a big world-hopping show like Loki, then, but it does tackle existential crisis head on, and it’ll only make you love Di Martino more. RF
Lovecraft Country
Like many Marvel projects, the Loki TV series has a deep bench of impressive acting talent. One of the most undersung (and honestly underutilized) members of the first season’s cast was Wunmi Mosaku, aka Hunter B-15, who was asked to depict a deep and abrupt change in loyalties over the course of six episodes. Mosaku pulls it off, mostly because she is a phenomenal actress. If you’re looking to see more of her work, look no further than HBO’s Lovecraft Country (but also watch In the Flesh, in which Mosaku plays the Season 2 antagonist), which also features He Who Remains’ Jonathan Majors in the main cast. (A two-fer!) Mosaku plays Ruby Baptiste, a Black singer living in 1950s Southside Chicago in this social horror. Come for Wunmi Mosaku and Jonathan Majors, stay for… Wunmi Mosaku and Jonathan Majors, but also for a TV series that has more supernatural twists than even the most bonkers episode of Loki. KB
Rick and Morty
If your favorite part of Loki was the existence of a thriving multiverse, then we’ve got some good news. Beloved Adult Swim series Rick and Morty (that also admittedly can have an overzealous fandom) is all about the storytelling joy that multiverses can provide. Mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty Smith reside in a plane of infinite universes and therefore infinite possibilities for bizarre adventure. Rick and Morty alum Michael Waldron served as Loki‘s head writer and the writing staff consisted of several more vets of the animated hit. Fans of Loki’s many variants will certainly enjoy encountering the countless versions of Rick, Morty, and their family. Just wait until you meet Lawyer Morty. Look at the little guy go! AB
Doctor Who
Not an original comparison, but one that absolutely stands up. After all, what was Loki episode three if not Doctor Who gifted a Disney budget? Nexus Events, the Sacred Timeline, doomed moons, memory reactivation… almost everything about Loki has one foot in the world of Doctor Who. The Marvel series may have had Time Keepers instead of Time Lords, variants instead of regenerations, and an alligator in place of… well, which Doctor would be the most likely to eat a cat? (Troughton’s, obviously), but there’s common DNA here. The really good news for the Loki fan who hasn’t already travelled with the Doctor(s) through space and time is that instead of just six episodes, there are roughly 10 billion of them plus novelisations, audio adventures, comic strips, videogames and a TV movie. Allons-y! LM
The Night Manager
Tom Hiddleston’s bum. But also this is an excellent series adapted from the novel of the same name by John le Carré and directed by Oscar winner Susanne Bier. Hiddleston plays Jonathan Pine, manager of a luxury hotel who gets recruited to infiltrate the inner sanctum of Hugh Laurie’s violent and volatile arms dealer. Olivia Colman co-stars once again (Hiddleston, Laurie and Colman all won Golden Globes for their performances) with a supporting role for Elizabeth Debicki which was very much a precursor for her part in Tenet. Post-Night Manager, Hiddleston was top billed to be the next Bond, so given Tenet basically was Bond but on another timeline, and featured time travel as an integral part, Loki and The Night Manager are basically the same show… RF
Timeless
If you wish Loki had been a bit more of a time-hopping procedural, then we have a show for you. Timeless, which aired on NBC for two too-short seasons from 2016-2018, stars Abigail Spencer as Lucy Preston, a historian who gets recruited by a secret department within U.S. Homeland Security in order to stop a mysterious organization that has stolen a time machine. Lucy teams up with scientist Rufus and soldier Wyatt, and the three unlikely bedfellows must learn to work together in high-stakes settings like the Hindenburg, Ford’s Theatre, and the Alamo. Co-created by The Boys showrunner Erik Kripke, Timeless has tons of character-driven twists that make the time travel personal, tying together these characters and settings in unexpected ways. KB
Legion
Loki is such a bold, creative superhero series that it’s hard to imagine that there’s every been anything quite like it. Believe or not – that’s not entirely true! While Loki is one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first big heady sci-fi TV swing, it’s not Marvel’s first overall on television. From 2017 to 2019, Marvel-adjacent property Legion enjoyed a bizarre, colorful three-season run on FX. This series is based on the X-Men character David Haller a.k.a. Legion. Diagnosed with schizophrenia at a young age, David also just happens to be a mutant with nigh-omnipotent powers. This show from Fargo‘s Noah Hawley revels in the strange potential of its premise. Legion is often confusing, but always intriguing. It’s a show that largely replaces superhero battles with dance offs. It’s well worth watching the entire run while you wait for Loki season 2. AB
The OA
Very different to Loki in tone but very similar in head-messing inter-dimensional WTF-ness, The OA is a strange and beautiful beast. If you could follow the Marvel show’s timeline hopping, then you’ve a strong chance of grasping the madness at play in Netflix’s The OA. It starts off as a story about the return of a woman (played by co-creator Brit Marling) who’s been missing for seven years, and ends up as a story about… parallel dimensions, arcane rituals, experimental physics, sci-fi magic and a kind-of-haunted house. It’s a total trip, in short, and should scratch any itch Loki fans are experiencing for TV of the weird variety. Speaking of which, give us season three, Netflix, you cowards. LM
Quantum Leap
Before the TVA there was Doctor Sam Beckett. Played by puppy-faced Scott Bakula, Sam is a scientist who invented a “quantum accelerator” (time machine) that randomly transports him back in time to put right events which once went wrong. In each episode of Quantum Leap, Sam wakes up in the body of someone else at a distinct point in history and has to figure out his mission with the help of his best mate, in hologram form, Al (Dean Stockwell). Sam is essentially maintaining the sacred timeline at the expense of his own life and free will, which would make Al…. Miss Minutes? Either way, it’s a hugely good natured show which ran for five seasons and it’s well worth a visit. RF
Continuum
Continuum protagonist Kiera (Rachel Nichols) has serious Sylvie energy. While they might not have much in common when it comes to their background—Sylvie is trying to take down the time authorities while Kiera, a cop from the corporate-controlled future, is an authority—they’re both incredibly focused women who will do what they have to in order to achieve their goals. Continuum follows Kiera, when she is unexpectedly stranded in our present. Desperate to get back to her family and her life in the future, Kiera teams up with a teen genius, as well as local detective Carlos Fonnegra. Filled with complex character arcs and alternate timelines, Continuum is a must for any fan of time travel TV. KB
Life on Mars
Loki’s crime procedural/time-hopping/fantasy cocktail may have been made famous by Quantum Leap, but it achieved its apotheosis (that’s right, five syllables, count ‘em) in BBC One’s Life on Mars. That’s the story of Sam Tyler (John Simm), a Manchester police officer who’s hit by a car in 2006 and wakes up in 1973. Like Loki, Tyler has to piece together what’s really going on behind-the-scenes while running his own investigations. Tyler may not be a God, or have magical powers and other planets to visit, but Life on Mars still took him to some odd and captivating places. It ended prematurely after two seasons (at the request of Simm, who said he wanted to spend more time with his family), after which the tale continued with sequel Ashes to Ashes starring Keeley Hawes. Currently, plans are afoot for a belated third series. LM

Ricky and Morty
But yo, what if Simple Rick was snatched up from his family at the exact moment that Memory happened, just like the factory worker Rick (who’s dimension number I don’t remember), and a group of business Rick’s just swooped in while Beth was blowing out the candles, knocked him unconscious and portaled away, leaving Beth traumatized. I wonder if that Beth ever meet Jerry and had a Morty… Anyway.
Also, I like how we got to learn a little about how they categorize Rick, like the dimensional numbers and stuff. What am I talking about? The news Ricks all came from the same original dimension, with some horrible accident happening at varying severities splitting into different dimensions, and those Ricks are put in a sub-category, identified by a letter tagged at the end. But then there is those sub-ricks can have alternate ricks on their timeline. Is there a Rick D716-B2? These are the questions. I actually have a lot of questions about the way they categorize Ricks, because the fact they are numbered Indicates that there is a finite number of Ricks, and I mean of course their is a finite amount of Ricks, but the number would be so mind boggling large and uncomprehendable, that it’s easier just to say it’s infinite. I assume the dimensional labels that Ricks use is based solely on dimensions where Ricks exist, because there has to be a nearly infinite amount of worlds where he doesn’t, same as there are where he does. It is really easy to not be born, when you think about it. There are any number of ways that your parents don’t meet, or that your parents parents don’t meet, or that the world was destroyed by a cataclysmic event and People never evolved at all… I’ve gotten off track again. Damnit.
I like to think that the injured news ricks were from a dimension where Rick told Morty to fuck off when he asked for that love potion in Rick Potion, or otherwise found a way to fix the whole Chronenburg thing, but survived the blast, while the first Rick from that dimensional line just noticed the mistake before the thing exploded. Or it could be any other amount of horrible accident. Who knows. Eh.
But for real, the episode was super cool, the pacing and flow of the story was really smooth despite its multiple parts. I like it.

Reaching Across the Dimensions
Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse
I have never found much consolation in the theory of reality that posits there are infinitely many universes, together containing all the possibilities of existence. If there were infinitely many universes, then each one would have to be infinitesimally small, indistinguishable from a cloud of neighboring universes almost exactly like it. They would almost cease to be universes at all, which is maybe the point. But I know my universe, and I know it is a universe. When I close my eyes for the night I can hear it continuing to hum without me. When I pace through it by daylight I can sense its definitions, apprehend all that it is and most of what it is not. Why should I care how many others there are?
Yet the facts of the multiverse, so uninteresting to me as scientific reality, become more compelling when they appear in fiction. This is perhaps because in art, alternate universes are always summoned in service of narrative, which is probably the only continuum more powerful than that of spacetime. In a work of art that “literally” depicted the multiverse, nothing would seem more or less real or important than anything else. Nothing would happen because nothing would not happen. But in a story about these things, all the possibilities of quantum foam are folded into one universe, this universe. In such a narrative alternate universes exist to deliver the characters what usually comes to them as a benediction from God or not at all: possibility, the real and boundless possibility of redemption, love, unity, etc. The “alternate universe” becomes a metaphor for the world of our imagination, the way we would like things to be.
Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse is ostensibly a movie about such possibilities, but it’s actually much more than that. In the movie, the “real” Spiderman is slain by the villain in the first five minutes, his demise observed by a kid from Brooklyn named Miles who coincidentally also got bit by a radioactive spider the day before. But it’s okay that Spiderman 1 is dead, because the villain, Kingpin, has just opened up a Thunderdome-sized portal into the multiverse, through which arrive one other Spiderman and four Spiderpeople from the seemingly infinite—yes—comic book spinoffs that have appeared over the years.
The movie is about how these six Spiderpeople successfully stop Kingpin from turning on the portal again and destroying New York in the process. The alien Spiderpeople then return to their respective universes and Miles take up the mantle of Spiderman in Universe 1, a welcome transition since the previous guy not only looked positively Aryan but was, we learn, also enrolled as a grad student. The multiverse thing, Miles tells us almost explicitly at the end, is supposed to serve as consolation to every bullied preteen and comic-book fan from a rough upbringing: there exists a universe in which you are Spiderman. You’ll never get to see that universe, but it “exists.” The appearance of the other Spideys represents a kind of transdimensional fulfillment of one’s desire to be lifted out of one’s problems. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, for I have overcome the worlds.
But what’s beautiful about this movie is that, even as it pretends to rely on the multiverse for its message, it’s doing something very different. Miles becomes Spiderman before the wormhole, when he accidentally gets bit by a spider while doing graffiti on the subway with his uncle. What’s the difference between an act of fate that comes from without this dimension and one that comes from within it? If there is a difference, it must be infinitesimally small. The love interest is treated in a similar way: Spiderwoman Gwen, played by Hailee Steinfeld and sent from a universe with better gender politics, appears at Miles’s school a week before the portal opens, dislodged in time to serve the needs of the plot. This gives she and Miles just enough waking hours to develop innocent crushes on each other before Gwen has to go back to her own universe, or else she’ll glitch out and die. The movie hints that they can still communicate via a sort of fourth-dimensional Facetime, but one only assumes Miles will move on eventually. This in its own way is a statement about possibility and Possibility.
Even Kingpin’s motivation calls into question the surface-level conceit. His goal in opening the wormhole is not to kill all New Yorkers (or half of them, thank you for asking) but to get back his wife and son, who were killed years ago in a car accident as they tried to walk out on him. He just really wants his family back, and is willing to endanger a whole city to get them. Just as Spiderverse, in a universe where Disney didn’t own the copyright, could make a wonderful title for a postmodern novel, Kingpin’s motivations in another movie could be seen as positively noble. A man tries to bend the spacetime continuum in order to be reunited with his family—does that sound familiar? It’s the plot of Interstellar. Matthew McConaughey is lucky he wasn’t endangering any cities as he scrolled through the Library of the Universe, but if he had been, would we have expected him to care? But the movie offers Kingpin as a more realistic lesson, one grounded in this universe: you were lucky to have been born into a reality that is decent enough despite its problems, so don’t bite the hand that feeds. (Unless you are a spider and your bite can give me powers.)
By the same token, where is the agony when SpiderGwen leaves Miles for her universe? Yes, they’ve only known each other for two days, but Dante only saw Beatrice once or twice before he wrote all those poems about her, and stories have been imagined based on more tenuous connections. But that’s what makes the movie good: it goes only so far with the multiverse thing, and no further. Even the possibilities of the infinite are limited, and Miles has to close the portal and get back to “real life,” whatever that is.
He can do this because he’s 12 years old, but we wiser beings cannot. We wait our whole lives for a taste from another dimension, whether we are separated from that dimension by material space, extradimensional fabric, or the distance of time. If you squint a little, a lot of great novels look like multiverse stories, just ones that are content to offer their characters half-formed visions of the Beyond rather than throw them into fight scenes with their alternate-universe counterparts. David Mitchell’s Cloud Atlas is one such book: it’s a story about six seemingly unrelated lives across five centuries that turn out to be somehow supernaturally intertwined, linked just strongly enough for each character to get the fleeting sense that their world was somehow created by a past version of themselves, and that they create the world for a future version.
The book is subtle about this, nesting the six stories inside each other in matryoshka formation and leaving the reader to imagine the pain of knowing that someone is out there, decades away, but being unable to reach them. We don’t even really know if the characters are reincarnations of each other or what. The movie, which I liked except for the part where Tom Hanks plays an Asian guy, is way more obvious, but in a way that also works. Sixsmith, the composer of the “Cloud Atlas” symphony, tells his lover that “there are whole movements I wrote imagining us meeting over and over again in different lives.” This line, like Miles and Gwen’s parting fist-bump, moved me almost to tears when I saw it: the distance between the pairs in both cases again seems like a metaphor for the distance between the real world and the possible.
When Proust’s narrator in In Search of Lost Time takes a bite of his madeleine cookie and feels all the memories of his childhood rushing back to him, what else is he experiencing but contact with a kind of localized multiverse? But just as it’s very difficult to open a transdimensional wormhole on purpose, such bursts of memory can never be summoned at will, which is what makes them so powerful. This is why the multiverse collider in Spiderverse isn’t harnessed and donated to MIT Laboratories, which would have been something like the awful decision to have the protagonist teach the alien language at the end of Arrival. Contact with the Beyond cannot be sustainable. I may bite a cookie and find that my childhood town, “taking its proper shapes and growing solid, springs into being, town and gardens alike, from my cup of tea,” but these phantasms must fade eventually so I can talk to my mom. Our new crush always vanishes into the mouth of a wormhole. And at the end of every dream, no matter how long and how vivid, we wake up and find ourselves pawing the air for a reality that existed moments ago but now does not. (Or still does, but somewhere else.)

The Truth about the Reincarnation and Manifestation of God
Let’s look from a different perspective today. Let’s leave behind what we already know, the things we were taught to believe, and let’s embark on a journey. You must have heard about how each snowflake is unique, with no two snowflakes ever being the same. If we relate this to the infinite nature of God’s creation, we could say this is like His dissimilarity to any other being. Bearing this in mind, there would be little point in being born into this world over and over again if we always took on a similar version of ourselves.God also definitely doesn’t need the same beings to be reincarnated repeatedly. For the sake of argument, let’s assume that every being is reincarnated here on Earth to fulfil his or her potentials. Now, let’s explore this a little deeper… So, what is this thing called reincarnation? Does it really exist? All experiences occur in order to understand the infinity within entwined universes, and repeating them would not help. To establish continuance, it needs to take a multi-dimensional form. This is not a repetition, though. What may appear to be repetition is actually the formless one experiencing every experience itself through various versions, and this is essential for it to evolve. In a nutshell, this is what we call reincarnation. Parallel universes, whether perceived from the 1st, 15th, or 21st century, have a deep meaning. The Divine is experiencing its infinity, such is its desire to know itself, with all its versions in the multiverse. The one affected by forming itself (i.e., the self) also experiences itself. It experiences both the high and the low vibrations concurrently. This means that the low-frequency incidents (the ones we define as “bad”) are also experienced through a high-frequency version in another dimension. This is why every experience we encounter here has to exist alongside an absolute similar, both to balance itself and prepare our rise. What really matters is to become aware of the self, so it’s crucial that we notice the “I”s we form in parallel universes. We can activate this awareness by generating thought waves, and we can call on them in order to unite as a whole. Communicating with other selves in parallel universes Let’s say that in a parallel universe, there’s some blocked energy from an incident way back in the 2nd century. Now, let’s say this is affecting our life here as well. To remove this clutter, it is vital that we reach out to our life there and apply our practices. Otherwise, like with broken plumbing, the energy leaking into our current life will create imbalance here in order to create balance. This should not be considered bad in itself, though. Universal justice created this so all beings can awaken to their own wholeness and make themselves real. There is actually an amazing harmony in this apparent imbalance. Now, if you wonder how we can practice this, it’s simply through breathing exercise. Exercise No. 1: Gently take soft, deep breaths and focus on the cluttered energy here. This could be problems with matters like money, health, or relationships. Just focus on your problem. Remember, the lowest vibrational energy will be stuck here, with its higher version existing in the parallel universe. It exists there just as it does here, but it has already been dealt with. Now, think about calling it here. “Come and be whole with me. Spread the higher vibration here as well. Guide me, both for my own benefit and for the benefit of the whole.” Remain silent and wait without doubt. You’ll likely receive visions after a short while. As I said, do not doubt. It may not happen straight away, and you may not experience that frequency right away. Do not force it. If you don’t feel anything the first time, just try it again. If the vision begins, ask your “I” in that frequency to balance the low frequency here. A smile will assure that the vibration increases and promote confidence in yourself. Be prepared for incidents developing at the same time, and watch your dreams. Exercise No: 2: While taking deep, soft breaths, we can gently call upon our other “I” in the higher consciousness to guide our enlightenment here. It is prepared for it and ready to communicate. This is actually my own awareness in my own consciousness, which I call spiritual sequencing. Although it follows the same logic as family sequencing, which many people may be familiar with, the crucial point of spiritual sequencing is that it goes beyond the continuance of our ancestors as defined in our consciousness. In other words, as those who gave birth to our ancestors, we are the greatest proof of our own continuance. If we become aware of our most spiritually developed ancestral energy, we can communicate with it and move forward to create a new “I.”We can be the one who activates our previous lives through our DNA, conscious of the fact that our spiritually evolved ancestor was born into this body at the same time, even though it is dead. So, for our own provident consciousness to open up, we can remain as observers of the birth from self to self. In this sense, we also become aware of how we can educate ourselves, and this great reminiscence begins to flow, expanding with the energy of effortlessness and the continuance of wisdom. This means the rise of the recurring one to a higher consciousness. Does God recur? There’s a saying we are all very familiar with: “History has a habit of repeating itself.” Keeping this in mind, look at the latest coup attempt in Turkey on the 15th of July this year. Now, almost 100 years ago, on the 28th of July, 1914, World War I started. We should not consider the month of July to be a mere coincidence. In a destructive way, this war shaped the world and caused alliances to form. Even though this war lasted more than four years and cost numerous lives, history repeated itself with World War II not too long after. World War I had rather distinctive characteristics compared to prior wars. This war was the strongest and most brutal human discovery of the modern ages, an “Overall War.” The wars before the 20th Century were fought at one significant front. The people of the fighting countries generally did not directly feel the effects of war. Mostly they would have to deal with a lack of food and other necessities. But World War I changed the entire situation. Assaults beyond the fronts, sabotages, and similar war tactics made it impossible for people to have order throughout their daily lives. 65,038,810 soldiers went to war from all countries. According to official statements, there were 8,556,315 dead, 21,219,452 wounded, and 7,750,945 soldiers reported missing in action or taken prisoner. World War I did not resolve the problems among the countries, and as a result of treaties with severe conditions, ideologies such as nationalism, fascism, and national socialism emerged and prepared the ground for World War II. Does this sound familiar? If death is really mandatory in order to live in a world where there is no winning or losing, then this is exactly where we should be looking. Could set cycles that repeat themselves be the symbol for rebirth and new beginnings? Let’s look at what Deepak Chopra has to say on the subject: Your skin cells die once a month. Stomach cells die every five days. Immune cells, for instance in the blood, die every 120 days. They exist for such a short period, but they know how to attack bacteria. Actually, every immune cell takes a look at the germ and says, “Hey, I’ve seen this guy before. Actually, I didn’t, but what did my grandpa do with him?” This is because the memory of the previous cell is transferred into the new cell’s memory. Likewise, DNA is the hard disk of evolution’s memory. Yet DNA matter occurs every six weeks and then vanishes. Thus, what comes to life through recycling is a MATRIX OF MEMORY; this, in my own deep consciousness perception, is not in the brain or in the body. It’s not settled somewhere; it’s in the consciousness, and consciousness does not occupy a place in space and time. We are the re-living of consciousness. If we can understand that, then death and rebirth are CREATIVITY in its truest sense. Always creating new content, new meaning, new relationships. I avoid using the term reincarnation, because then we get lost in religious ideologies. (2) If we then relate this to our own topic, what’s the actual aim of Divine recurrence? Could it be to complete the game and evolve to a higher level of consciousness through the lower consciousness repeating experiences? Otherwise, instead of the snowflake example at the start of this article, we constantly encounter a virtual recurrence, an illusion of reincarnation, and we remain beings who repeat themselves but never recur. So, is this recurrence a necessity? Yes it is. Once the self experiences itself, it simultaneously experiences all its versions in the consciousness of now and thus begins to know itself. The experience that seems to be repeating is actually not the same in this sense, and once it knows wholeness through all its versions, it returns to the formless area and reunites with the Divine, with the source, with itself, which has no end and no beginning. To sum it all up, the recurrence of the divine conscious exists to express its own unique oneness through infinite dimensions. Once the Divine consciousness opens up, reincarnation does not cause lives to repeat themselves, yet a consciousness of remembering being “I” occurs. In other words, God remembers himself. This is of course the transcendence of the formless one wrapping itself into a new form for a new beginning. Could we then say that the game begins all over again, but with a brand new awareness this time? What did you do to know yourself? I questioned. Did you learn when you questioned? I always got the same answer. What was it? Expand! Where did you expand? To my other I’s. Did you ask new questions once you got your answers? Yes. Who are you? … Every new answer became a new I. Who is this new I? The one who goes to no repetition from all repetition. Who comes and goes? I am that I. Who said that? From all parallel aspects, the one that expresses itself as I am ME.” Who are you? … Read the full article

Powers.
Sorcerer: Dr. Strange possesses a vast mastery of the mystic arts; his primary magical patrons are a group of entities known as "the Vishanti." The Vishanti are a trinity of godly beings comprised of Agamotto, Hoggoth, and Oshtur. Although he has, on rare occasions, called upon the power of demons such as Dormammu; Strange more frequently did so before he realized Dormammu's true dark nature in the earlier issues. He has once stated that he can kill a mortal with the mere twitch of a finger.
Infinite Longevity/Fearlessness: Dr. Strange's lifespan has been extended and his fear of dying subsided in a manner similar to that of his mentor the Ancient One, due to a successful contest against Death. Though he can still be killed and even physically wounded he cannot succumb to any medical diseases, nor does he age. However, he still requires food, water, oxygen, and sleep, same as a normal human. Strange passed a test by the Ancient One and defeated Death, or more accurately, accepted Death. As a result, from that moment forward, Doc stopped aging. "Death may come only from without, in battle-- and not from within." The Ancient One had once passed the same test himself and lived 600 years. From that moment forward, a glowing ankh appears on Doc's forehead when he is in a situation of great danger and his death is imminent, "when Strange most needs a reaffirmation of life. Mystic Bolts
Astral Projection: Doctor Strange can release his astral form from his body, instantaneously and at will. In this form he does not need to breathe, eat, drink or sleep, is unrestricted by physical laws (for example, Strange has flown beyond Earth’s atmosphere, defying gravity with ease to speak with Iron Man), is invisible (though can be seen by any if he wished it so), intangible, and incapable of being harmed by all but the most powerful and rigorous of mystic means. As physical laws are meaningless on the astral plane, Strange is able to use it to traverse at virtually any speed desirable (Strange has reached to St. Louis, Missouri from his Sanctum Sanctorum in Greenwich Village, New York in "a few brief seconds" thus, as well as traveling at the "speed of thought" through outer space.
Banishment: Dr. Strange has banished many types of creatures and humans to other dimensions but the extent of this is only possible as long as the 'Banish-ers' magic is greater than that of the 'Banish-ees' magic during the banishment.
Conjuring of Objects
Transmutation: the ability to change one thing to another. He used spells in this case.
Telepathy: Dr. Strange can psychically communicate and read minds. These abilities can be amplified by mystic energy (as against Moondragon) and/or the Eye of Agamotto (done countless times) to afford Stephen incredibly powerful psychic abilities.
Telekinesis
Flight: Doctor Strange can fly using magical energy but has since abandoned it. (Presumably choosing to rely on the Cape of Levitation instead.)
Protective Shields: Using the being Seraphim, Dr. Strange can shield himself or his allies.
Hypnotism
Illusions
Intangibility: The ability of Invisibility or Near-Invisibility and Phasing through solid material.
Time Manipulation: Strange has frozen, slowed, and traveled through time. This magic is enacted only through extreme concentration.
Elemental Manipulation: Dr. Strange can manipulate and control the elemental forces.
Teleportation
Dimensional Travel
Universal Awareness: By performing mediation Dr. Strange has sensed anomalies in time and space allowing him to protect against time travelers, extra-dimensional invaders (Example: Dormammu, Nightmare), space aliens, etc.
Various other spells: These spells seem to be quicker to perform but lesser in power than spells using divine energy. Strange has used his magics altogether to alter his clothing through something akin to minor molecular control, control and manipulate elements, etc. Dr. Strange has also been shown to amass as much wealth/gold as he desires using magic, as he has done to pay debts he owed.
The Words: Doctor Strange has become an expert in the Black Priests's ability to use language to distort reality, becoming even more capable than the Black Priests themselves in a short amount of time. Each "word" is a symbol which means "something." The addition of another symbol can change the meaning of that "something." Doctor Strange stated this method to be akin to replacement cipher. This way, he can distort the reality in different ways, depending how many symbols are said and in which order. Some of the features achieved by the use of Words include:
- Energy Blasts - Pyrokinesis - Cryokinesis - Organic Disintegration - Paralysis
Divine Sources: Dr. Strange can channel the extra-dimensional energy of mystical and non-mystical beings in multiple dimensions (known as Principalities) to empower his spells. This can take the form of standard spells ("Crimson Bands of Cyttorak") or just state what he wants to occur and channeling some being to make it happen. It is unknown at this time what debt, if any, he incurs by invoking the powers that be. There is no strict quid pro quo (as the simple acknowledgment and invoking of the entity increases the entity's own powers, inexplicably), though some entities will feel he is obliged to heed their call when they need help in their conflicts as did the Vishanti. This ability to be a conduit to multiversal power sources has given rise to the phrase "Dr. Strange is as powerful as the god he invokes." Doctor Strange's powers typically come from one of three divine sources: The Vishanti (a trinity formed of Hoggoth, Oshtur, and Agamotto), the Octessence (a group of eight beings, consisting of Balthakk, Cyttorak, Farallah, Ikonn, Krakkan, Raggadorr, Valtorr, and Watoomb) and other beings who owe him a debt (this includes Satannish and even Dormammu). However, certain abilities of his stem from more obscure sources, such as the Faltine, the Seraphim, Cinnibus, Sheol, Ikthalon, Denak, Cyndriarr, Munnopor, Morpheus, Dyzakk, the Olympian deities (such as Poseidon and Hades) and others
Darkness of the Divine Conduit (Black Magic): By sheer force of will "take" the power of another entity. This does not require the use of a spell. He used this ability against Arioch and Shuma-Gorath. The fact that Stephen can do this is a testament to his incredible willpower and strength of mind. This is considered black magic and as such he rarely employs this. Also when taking the powers of celestial entities he absorbs the mind and assumes their duties and roles in the dimension in which they exist. If his will falters, he can lose all sense of self. Although Dr. Strange primarily uses spells that are considered 'white magic', he will use spells from other disciplines such as black magic, elemental magic, and catastrophe magic when necessary.
Dr. Strange's powers are all mystical but take several forms. Main manifestations include:
- It is said that he cannot use magic that can replicate anything discovered by human science.
- By force of will, Dr. Strange can "take" the power of another entity. This does not require the use of a spell. He uses this ability against Captain Universe as well as against Arioch and Shuma-Gorath in Strange Tales Vol 2. Strange also uses this to drain the Wrecking Crew of the Asgardian magic they had been infused by Karnilla, though this causes him great mental agony and takes a long time. This is considered black magic and as such, he rarely employs this. Also, when taking the powers of entities, he can absorb their mind and assume their duties and roles in the dimension in which they exist. But, if his will falters, he can lose all sense of self.
- Dr. Strange also became proficient in Black Magic under the tutelage of Kaluu, including using the necromantic energy released in death for various effects. After he purged Shuma-Gorath from himself, he has since stopped using black magic.
- At a certain period, Dr. Strange became a receptacle of Earth's Gaia magic through the use of a forge built with the support of all his magical artifacts. This energy was exhausted in the War of Seven Spheres.
- For a brief period, research from the Vishanti library led Strange to tap into "catastrophe magic" by invoking a mystical alignment of all the planets, but this source of magic was limited and he ceased using it specifically as a source of his power.
- Strange's magical powers at their greatest peak exceeds that of even the Watcher Uatu and rivals that of other great beings, such as Galactus or Celestials.
Abilities.
Former Expert Surgeon/Surgical Consultant: Strange holds an M.D. in neurosurgery and was once considered one of the foremost experts in his field. However, the nerve damage he suffered in his car crash severely compromised the manual dexterity in his hands, preventing him from performing surgery except when temporarily supplemented by magic. Even without magic, Strange retains his medical knowledge. He has shown himself capable of providing reasonable guidance to other less skilled, yet un-maimed surgeons through intense effort and is still capable of serving as a consultant.
Expert Occultist & Magical Knowledge: During his studies which continued until recently Dr. Strange has gain expert awareness on cults and the extra-dimensional entities they worship, this knowledge as of yet far exceeds any on Earth in the Marvel Universe.
Expert Strategist: Though Stephen seems to suffer from an impulsive nature, instinctively jumping into situations of life-or-death, it's apparent that he works best this way possessing considerable strategic skills, which has been employed in leadership structures, and spontaneous situations, all of which is a necessity in the random environment of Mysticism.
Skilled Martial Artist: Dr. Strange is a skilled athlete and was trained in the martial arts used by Tibetan monks in Kamar Taj, proving sufficiently talented to pass down such training to others, such as Clea. These talents have assisted him from time-to-time when incapable of using his sorcery. Strange is a formidable opponent to any skilled attacker and continues to train regularly with Wong. He has in some cases, been known to occasionally spar with other heroes; in one case, Strange was able to evade a kung fu hand-chop by Mantis (the future mother of the Quoi) "only three others have ever done" and who has been able to subdue Thor in sheer physical combat, despite his strength nearly hundreds of times superior to her own.
Weaknesses.
Science-Based Weakness: It has been said Strange's power is weaker against strictly science-based opponents.
Incantations and Gestures Dependency: Strange also depends on spoken incantations, mystical gesturing, and his arcane artifacts in his duties; likely these can be counted as weaknesses. Strange has been incapacitated various times by being gagged and bound, preventing him from uttering arcane invocations or performing mystic gestures.
Human Factor: Another weakness is that Strange, despite all his spells and magical training, is only human physically. Hence, if not taking proper care or defenses, Strange can be overpowered by mere blows, energy attacks, or gas. While technically immortal per se, he still must eat, sleep and breathe in order to survive.
Astro-Limits: Such is the skill and mastery of Doctor Strange that he is capable of spending up to 24 hours upon the astral plane before he must rejoin his ethereal form with his physical one, lest succumb to corporeal deterioration leading to bodily death and eternal suspension as a spirit. The physical form remains in an inert, death-like trance, vulnerable to both physical and magical forms of harm while the astral form is absent. If harm were to befall his physical form while he was in his astral form, he would be stranded in his wraith-like state. Though Strange has only his personal abilities in his astral form, the Ring of the Ancient One/Ring (of Full Power) can grant him access to the same resources he possesses in his physical body; however, certain writers and editors appear to have portrayed Strange in an astral form capable of feats beyond his personal abilities even without the Ring. According to Baron Mordo, the intense atomic radiation of the sun's core can change the composition of astral forms.
Magic-Induced Physical Changes: A fact not known by many people is that the use of magic takes a physical toll on its user. During his first lessons, Stephen vomited for three days straight because of this. As years went by, Strange's body changed so much his stomach can't even accept human food and can only ingest that which would kill a normal person
Weapons & Equipment.
The Eye of Agamotto (which resides within the Amulet of Agamotto worn at Dr. Strange's throat) is a powerful and valued artifact that has many functions. Using the Eye, Strange can see through any lie, deception, or illusion, send the eye out at light speed to intercept and absorb massive amounts of any type of energy and free others who are trapped in their own illusions. It is often used to amplify his mind's eye, giving psychic abilities that rival the most powerful of telepaths. It is also often used to play back an area's past events, lift beings weighing thousands of pounds into the air telekinetically, and open dimensional portals, as well as placing beings in suspended animation. The Eye can track beings by their psychic or magical emissions. The light given off by the Eye also weakens a variety of evil mystical beings, such as demons, devils, undead beings, dark extradimensional entities, and even sufficiently corrupt human practitioners of dark magic. When used offensively, no being can withstand its light for long; due to its lethal effect, it is often used as a weapon of last resort. The Eye appears to be dimensionally linked to the Orb of Agamotto, and is presented to the current Sorcerer or Sorceress Supreme to aid them in their great duties. The amulet can only be used by a being with a pure heart and a clean soul.
The Cloak of Levitation allows him to fly (at roughly 25 miles per hour for indeterminate lengths of time), and responds to his thoughts. Strange has used it many times as a "third set of hands" to attack a foe when his own body has been incapacitated. The Cloak is nearly indestructible, often escaping damage during even the most violent confrontations. The cloak has acted independently from Strange as though it has a will of its own, as well as being quasi-sentient to some degree.
The Sash of Dr. Strange: Worn around Strange's waist, this enchanted yellow sash can be extended ten times its normal length.
The Orb of Agamotto, a large crystal ball which he uses daily to monitor the surrounding dimensions and his own world for trouble;
The Wand of Watoomb, which amplifies his power and absorbs mystical energy that can be utilized for a variety of effects, such as reopening dimensional portals and firing mystic bolts; a power-item that can be divided into two separate, though powerless, parts, and can restructure reality itself when combined with other mystical objects
The Book of the Vishanti, which contains some of the multiverse's most powerful and secret spells and counter-spells for white magic, opposed to the dark arts of the Darkhold
A wooden staff forged from Yggdrasil that greatly boosts his magic power but also risks damaging his body.

More fragments: beginning of an excursus on the differences between parallel and perspective projection in computer graphics
The comprehension of three dimensional geometric space is concurrent with the problem of planar projection. Rather, we should say that the screen, the pixel-raster, in its qualitative dualism, in its location between vectors and mike, dictates a certain modality of interaction through the mathematical processes of projection. But (unlike what we found in transformation matrices) there are indeed no less than two separate families of projection: parallel and perspective. The former posits what (we will see) can be the vectoral space for our purposes, “located” in the center of projection at infinity—characterized by the geometrically perpendicular organization of projection lines to the screen; the latter in contrast displaces the radical potential of infinity onto the illusion of depth in vanishing points—appeasing the call of “depth” from mike by materializing the point at infinity. We can assume that mike exists in a perspectival world, just in that we find a heavy bias towards perspective projection in the literature available to us. We do not, however, exist in any world.
Active and potential. Irreducible spirit and the antithetical strive for a particular kind of domination. All this, we will see, is rendered in the “choice” between parallel and perspective projections.
But let us be more specific. Salomon:
In general, a projection transforms an object from n dimensions to n−1 or fewer dimensions, but in computer graphics n is always 3. Because of the loss of dimensions, an object loses some of its details when projected.
It goes without saying: projection defined by “loss” assumes an orientation of object/vector-to-mike that we must unilaterally reject. Why not say that projection, in general is the n+1! Is that thing that gives! Of course any presumed negation for mike will always be gain for us, this is just how it works.
...Anyway, parallel projection gets it name by the relationship of the rays that project either from or through the object projected to the plane that is at one the raster-screen. Given a simple object, choose a side and draw a series of parallel rays from the object to the plane, such that each ray meets up perpendicularly with the screen. This basic principle could be used to describe each subsets of parallel projection. Here not only is the context of incidences retained, but the sense of parallelism in the lines composing an object where that is notable. Isometric and orthographic projections are types of parallel projections
Of course, the more fruitful interpretation of parallel projection for us doesn’t entail starting the parallel rays from the object in this way, but rather conceives of them as flowing through the object before intersecting at the projection plane (the screen). The difference of explanation here is hardly negligible. For one thing, conceiving of rays as flowing through in itself seems to raise (in the literature available to me) the specifically perspectival question of the center of projection, but decides on this question that such a center is located at infinity. Namely at the (so-called) ideal line of infinity that must be added to any projective plane in distinction to cartesian, affine planes.
This line of reasoning follows from what is more properly projective geometry as such, rather than the just the “problem” of projection representing three dimensional objects on two dimensional arrays. Thus it is not a problem, but a question that concerns the limits of real transformation (alteration, determinism) in view of a context of incidence (which is really, as we will see, the key to all of this).
Carlbom and Paciorek (1978) term the rays that relate to the object projectors, and as such:
The projectors emanate from a single point called the center of projection. When this point is finite, a perspective projection is obtained. When it is at infinity, that is, when the projectors are all parallel, a parallel projection is obtained. A perspective projection illustrates the general appearance of an Object as it would be seen by the eye, whereas a parallel projection primarily attempts to represent its metric properties. (466)
Here, the finite is associated with the “eye,” while the infinite with “metric properties.” We will see again and again in the literature this balance, this implicit compromise, made by what is gained and lost from each sense of perspective. The illusion of some kind scientific neutrality between both senses of projection is always everywhere belied by appeal to the “reality” the finitude of a mike-observer.
What mike’s eye wants to see is challenged fundamentally by incidences inherent to vector objects that no nothing of depth or space. Even perspective projection can only manufacture infinities:
The statement above is the rule governing vanishing points. It should be stressed that the vanishing points are not real. They exist only in our imagination and we imagine them because of the particular way our brain interprets the signals sent from our eyes.

Manipulation (part 5)
NSFW lite -- 2950 words. Hints/mentions of rape.
(FYI: This story is a sequel/companion piece to Assimilation, which can be found in the Rick Fic Masterpost link in my blog’s description along with additional chapters of Manipulation. Or, you can click the #manipulation tag in this post, within my blog, to access all additional chapters.)
*****
“Now approaching planet Earth,” the ship’s autopilot declared in its choppy monotone, awaking me with a start. It hadn’t seemed to disturb the woman asleep in the passenger seat in the slightest and I sighed in relief. Not only did she obviously need as much rest as she could get, I also didn’t particularly want to sit in awkward silence while what had transpired between us – or, rather, between me and Unity – ran on a loop in my head.
Taking a moment to come to my senses, I located and unscrewed my flask only to find it woefully empty. “Shit,” I cursed, recalling that I’d drained the last bit before setting the autopilot and passing out. I supposed I would be forced to reminisce on my new found status of a naive dumb ass after all. And, right on cue, my mind began to replay Unity’s letter time and again, lingering on one particular sentence –
“Please understand that I kept her from you so that you wouldn’t end up hating yourself more than you already do.”
Of all the downright shitty and absolutely fucked up things that Unity had done during the weekend, that one sentence was the only statement of truth. Because, I wouldn’t have just hated myself a bit more than I pretty much have my entire life. I would have finally had the perfect excuse to eradicate myself from this universe once and for all. So, was I grateful to Unity for preventing me from raping one of the very few people in my life that I didn’t despise? Grateful may be too strong a word considering it had ended up raping her itself to prove, once and for all, that I was a low life piece of shit and always would be. I could have told Unity that myself and saved us each a fuck ton of time and effort. So, no, I supposed I wasn’t grateful, after all.
But, at this point, what was done was done. From what I’d gathered from my time with Unity, most of its assimilated victims eventually regained their memories. Sometimes it took hours; sometimes it took days, weeks, or even years dependent upon the amount of time the subject was assimilated. Of course, I’d only learned this after the last time Unity and I split for good. Somewhere along the line, I’d become curious – or perhaps guilty – about the lives we ruined when Unity assimilated unsuspecting beings to commit various crimes and then leave them to deal with the consequences. Tracking down a number of those assimilated victims had taken years in itself but almost all of them confirmed that, eventually, their memories of assimilation had returned.
So, I was essentially screwed.
I was almost certain, as her eyes continued to dart this way and that, she was dreaming of what had transpired while Unity assumed control of her body. Once she regained even a tenth of those memories, she would despise me. And, perhaps that was a good thing. Perhaps, then, I could finally free myself of this unhealthy obsession.
“Now entering atmosphere of Earth,” the ship declared, jolting my focus back to landing properly. Glancing toward her, she stirred slightly but remained fast asleep.
As I brought the ship in for a landing in the driveway, I punched the garage door opener and extended a hand to shake her awake. Groaning, she clapped her hands over her ears as the screech of the garage door assaulted her aching head as well as mine.
“Hey. We’re here – w-we’re back,” I said, only glancing her way as she swung open the passenger side door and literally fell out of the ship. Hopping out of the driver’s side, I made my way around as quickly as I could without appearing concerned, throwing in an exasperated sigh for good measure. She’d apparently landed flat on her ass as indicated by the way she was leaning against the side of the ship and the way my lab coat bunched around her thighs.
“I don’t even know what day it is, let alone what time. Are they here?” she asked, staring straight up at the ceiling.
“Yeah,” I confirmed, guessing she was referring to the remainder of her – our – family.
“I can’t walk through the house wearing nothing but your lab coat.”
“You aren’t – you have other, uhh, things… on your body,” I said, immediately wanting to stuff the ignorant sentence back down my throat. “I’ll distract them so y-y-you can sneak through.”
“Thanks, Rick,” she said in a tone so grateful that I began to doubt my earlier assumption that memories were returning to her as she slept. How could they have been if she weren’t currently trying to claw my eyes out?
When she began to haul herself from the floor, the hem of my lab coat rode even higher on her hips, exposing those lacy panties that I demanded she get nice and wet for me just mere hours prior. Averting my eyes, I exited the garage into the kitchen and then made my way to the living room.
“Hey,” I greeted the family as they all sat watching that brain dead show where desperate girls fight over some lame ass loser. Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted her crawling toward the den.
“Dad,” Beth began as she stood and rounded the couch to block my path. Oh great, here we go, I thought as she carefully continued. “I – um – Jerry and I were looking for our weed wacker and found your subterranean lair…” At this point, I tuned her out and gave the impression I was listening by nodding now and then. When the final word she spoke pitched higher in tone than the rest of them, I answered whatever question she’d asked with, “Okay.”
“Okay?” she confirmed, appearing shocked. Only then did I wonder what I’d actually agreed to while walking toward my room. That is, until Summer decided to interject.
“Grandpa Rick, what happened with Unity?”
“Who?” I asked a little too defensively before rebounding with, “Oh, Unity. Yeah, well, I-I-I mean honestly – we – we’re talkin’ about an entity that thrives on enslavement and deceit, you know? It’s not cool. Fun’s fun, but who needs it? I – uh – I’ll be in my room.”
Thankfully, that seemed to drop the subject and they allowed me to retreat to my small room without further objection. Once inside, I locked the door and plopped down on the rickety cot. No matter what happened from this point, I knew for a fact that things had changed irrevocably. Eventually, she would regain her memories and then the chips would fall where they may.
How long had it been since I’d discovered I wasn’t the only Rick in the multiverse with the hots for his daughter’s best friend? A decade? I had no sooner invented the inter-dimensional goggles and slipped them over my face for the first time before I flipped through the eyes of Rick after Rick until I landed on dimension C-69. Because, that Rick, who’d I’d crossed paths with at the Citadel a time or two, was fucking someone doggy style. So, of course, I watched. A perfect POV experience unlike any porn site around, I mentally congratulated myself when the breathy moans and cries of the woman, as she rocked to and fro, enhanced the experience tenfold. But, when C-69 spoke to his female companion, every muscle in my body went rigid and I had literally stopped breathing.
“Mmm, baby girl – that’s right. You like this dick, don’t ya? Fuckin’ tell me you love it, Chicken.”
“Rick!” the young woman exclaimed with a laugh, lowering her head to the mattress as he continued to plow into her. “I told you not to call me that while we’re fucking! You know I can’t stop laughing.” Then, she looked back at me – HIM – with those god damn stunning eyes.
Feeling like my heart would explode; I had hastily removed the goggles and forced myself to leave them off until the intense wave of nausea subsided. However, it had only seemed to intensify when the undeniable fact kept resurfacing again and again, no matter how many pulls I had taken from the nearby whiskey bottle –
I wasn’t the only one. Not even close. And, if Rick C-69 had managed to fuck her at that point in time, than so had an infinite number of our counterparts.
Eventually, after extensive ‘research’ using the goggles, I had discovered that when I had run off into the great wild yonder, my counterparts had either stayed to be with her or they took her with them. Of course, that was years before she got married, so the Ricks who were too chicken shit to make a move sooner, myself included, ended up suffering through an affair or soul crushing unrequited ‘love’.
“Love,” I mumbled and scoffed to myself. What a pile of horseshit.
Coming back to the here and now, I decided that I had better ways to occupy my mind. What good would it do to stew in my bedroom when I could hear her voice just on the other side of the wall, lying about why she hadn’t come back home when the kids did? So, I shrugged into one of my spare lab coats and portaled into the garage to resume my latest project. But, not before smashing a few empty beakers, you know, just for the hell of it. Fuck those beakers.
----------
After cleaning up the one billion tiny shards of glass from the beakers that could just burn in hell for all I cared, I had refilled my flask and emptied it all over again in the span of fifteen minutes. So much for resuming projects that I’d had fuck all concentration to finish over the last month. I supposed passing out at my work station again was the only viable alternative and now I was waking up to the not so surprising gift of stiff joints and cottonmouth.
Standing from the shitty stool to crack my spine, I spied the inter-dimensional goggles dangling from a nail next to the cork board. Suddenly curious if any of my counterparts were experiencing the same nightmare I was, I plucked them from the nail and slipped them over my face. Just as I was flipping through dimensions, there was a knock on the door from the kitchen side.
“Go away, Jerry!” I shouted, paused briefly on C-69 to watch as he woke up next to her counterpart in the bed they shared.
“Uh, yeah. Not Jerry.” Her small voice leaked toward me through the particle wood and I nearly tripped over the stool on my way to the door, swiftly yanking it open before even removing the goggles.
“Oh, uhh. Hey – hey there,” I greeted her. She looked startled and I realized how odd I must have appeared before ripping the goggles from my face.
“You have another lab coat?” she asked before quickly adding, “I’ll wash the one you let me borrow, by the way.” A blush rose to her cheeks as she fidgeted, bunching her hands in the hem of her blouse.
“Don’t – don’t do that. There’s shit in the pockets I don’t want ruined,” I began before thinking better of it. Even if she did wash the coat, it would forever be the one I let her borrow after she had been assimilated, raped, pranced around, and manipulated. No thanks. “Actually, j-just throw it away,” I instructed, retrieving and unscrewing my flask.
“What? You just said you didn’t want the stuff in the pockets ruined.”
“I changed my mind.” Taking a swig, I dismissed her with a wave of my hand while I resumed my place at the workstation, hoping like hell that she would just leave me to my misery. But, no dice. When she continued to stand there with her hands still bunched in her shirt, I put on my most intimidating ‘what the fuck do you want now’ face and turned back toward her.
Taking a deep breath, she began, “Look. Rick, I need to talk to you.”
FUCK! Fuck, shit, fucking mother fuck!! Well, this was it…
“Stop – stop right there,” I said, throwing up a palm to interject as I stood and took a step toward her. She stepped back. I stopped and narrowed my eyes. “W-what the – you think – I’m not gonna bite you!” I nearly shouted, as if she had any reason to trust me. Then, reigning myself in, I continued. “Can you let me explain?”
“How can you possibly know –” she began but I cut her off, determined to nip this in the bud; to throw her off my scent before she detected the stench of repressed ‘feelings’. Ugh, fucking kill me.
“I – I told you I didn’t fuck you. And, that’s true.”
“I know,” she interjected. Holding her gaze, I waited for her to continue. “I’ve had these… dreams. I don’t know if it’s just my head fucking with me or if it happened or if only some of it happened. Regardless, I believe you,” she finished, her expression sincere.
Shaking my head at my previous hopefulness that maybe she wouldn’t regain the memories so soon, I gestured for her to take a seat on a nearby stool while I did the same.
“I’ve been doing some – some research,” I lied, not really seeing the benefit in informing her that I’d sought out others who had also been released by Unity long ago and, therefore, already knew how this would play out. “Apparently, people who – who’ve been assimilated into a hive mind or had their consciousness hijacked by a parasite usually recover memories at some point. Dreams are – uh – are a common method.”
Watching the realization wreak havoc on her features, I pulled my flask again and took a large gulp before holding it to her in offering. Without a second of hesitation, she snatched the flask from my hand and tipped the contents down her throat.
“Jesus Christ, Rick!” she cried, coughing like the greenest of lightweights. “Is this gasoline or something? Fuck!”
She was so goddamn cute and I laughed as she continued to cough for several more seconds.
“Don’t – don’t ask,” I warned as I plucked it from her hand and took another drink. Fuck knows I was gonna need it.
“So, MY dreams?” she said, thrusting me back into a conversation I wasn’t keen to continue.
“Most likely memories,” I confirmed. “Sssooo, that’s why I need to explain.” Her face completely deadpan, she blinked in response. At this point, I had no way of knowing what memories she had regained, exactly, but thought, fuck it – better to pay the piper now so I wouldn’t have to suffer his collection song later.
“You’re fuckin’ hot, alright!” I practically yelled, throwing my hands in the air. “Y-y-you can call me a pervert. What the fuck ever. But, I can’t – I’m not gonna pussy foot around here.”
Again, she blinked.
“You expect – expect me to just – uh – you know, r-r-reject some hot young thing when she climbs – straddles my lap, huh?” Tripping over my words the way I do when my mouth has trouble catching up to my brain, I resisted the urge to gulp the remaining contents of the flask right then. But, when she only blinked again in response, I began to lose my patience. “What the – w-w-what’s wrong with you?”
Appearing to finally come back to her senses, she shook her head before replying. “Rick, I’m not just ‘some hot young thing’. You’ve known me since I was fourteen years old. I’m your daughter’s best friend!” Her voice rose in pitch with each word as she grew more and more upset, which only served to frustrate me.
“Fuck, you think – think I don’t know that?!” Reflexively, I slammed one palm on the counter of my work station, causing her to flinch.
“Don’t fucking yell at me, Rick!” she defended herself and I almost felt proud. “This is really fucking with my head right now, okay? I just need…” She trailed off, furrowing her brow.
“A good dicking?” I filled in, condescension dripping from my lips. “Yeah, well. Y-you already got it and it was – wasn’t from me so get a grip.”
“But, you would have, Rick. If you’re saying that my dreams are memories then you would have.”
Her words confirming that I’d been correct to divulge more information than she’d initially asked for, I knew it was time to end this sick fantasy of mine once in for all. She hadn’t once pointed the finger or accused me of taking advantage of her. In fact, it appeared that she was only looking for assurances on if her dreams were, in fact, memories. Even if she appeared, understandably, shocked that I’d admitted to finding her sexually attractive, she didn’t appear disgusted or put off – only confused. She could have so easily called me a perverted old man, a borderline rapist, a delusional piece of shit. But, she didn’t. She was giving me the benefit of the doubt and I knew that if I let her, it would eventually ruin her.
So, my resolution absolute, I crossed my arms defensively and readied myself to say the most despicable thing possible in hopes of pushing her away –
“Like I said – hot young thing and blah blah blah. Get – g-g-get over yourself already. I fucked a giraffe. You aren’t special.”
Her face remained placid as she quietly stood from the stool and exited the garage without another word. Mission accomplished.
To be continued…
