peter having terrible nightmares after the devil and peter tork and it starts with mike climbing into bed with him late at night because he’d wake up to peter screaming and crying and then eventually all of the monkees just sleep in the same bed for a while so peter knows he’s safe

On this day in 1967, The Monkees won two Emmys — outstanding comedy and comedy directing. (The following year, they were nominated for a third Emmy — Outstanding Directorial Achievement In A Comedy Series for “The Devil and Peter Tork.”) Some of the footage in this edit comes from the Blu-ray set.
“The Monkees’ show was a breakthrough for television, [Peter] said. Producers Bert Schneider and Robert Rafelson partially were responsible for the show’s success, he said, ‘because they genuinely loved the Beatle stuff’ on which the series was based.” - The Bowling Green News Revue (May 24, 1979) “They had two regular guys and a tiny heartthrob, and they needed an offbeat kind of guy. So I brought that simpleton in, a part I had developed on the Greenwich Village scene. I enjoyed that role. I still do, sometimes.” - Peter Tork, Arizona Republic (September 14, 1986) “Our producer, who cast us, said that the one thing he had to say for himself, when he cast us, he caught lightning in the bottle. For all of the potential shortcomings that have spun us apart, I have to pay tribute to each of them, separately and together, for just being magnificent talents. I only wish we could have exploited the talent we had better and longer and more efficiently.” - Peter Tork, Poughkeepsie Journal (January 30, 2004)

Davy, plotting: that stephen stills is a bad apple upon this earth because he is stealing the attention of my romantic love interest which is peter tork despite me happening to be heterosexual
Peter: I wish Davy was gay so we i could get him boypregnant but he isn’t so ill be polyamorous
Stephen Stills: I wishneil would choke me to death
Neil Young: I’ve been really into trains lately
Mike Nesmith: these roles of masculinity cast upon me are causing me incredible stress, discomfort, and feelings of being trapped, but idrc about that right now because I’m too busy cheating on my wife and having a homoerotic love-hate relationship with Peter Tork
Graham Nash: I’m pregnant and I don’t know if it’s Joni’s or David’s 😰
Stephen Stills, wearing a devil costume: get an Abortion the pregnancy will never last till term
Neil Young, wearing an angel costume: no, get a c section for your slight frame, you are the next Virgin Mary and this is immaculate conception
Micky Dolenz: anyone up for fucking dolenz style 😏

My favorite episode so far is the devil and Peter tork. The way Peter is so passionate about playing it he doesn't realize he sold his soul and his friends doing whatever it takes to get it back. And the end is so perfect it almost makes me cry, mams Michael Kicking in and the way Peter plays it so beautifully because thats all he wants my perfect boy 😭
Plus during the salesmen montage which is a very good song Peter and the devil have some sexual tension that I appreciate.

oh my god i have so many WEIRD self-projection tv show monkees headcanons that I feel like i’d get yelled at for having but like, it’s all about stuff that I’ve done or literally do and cannot help. sometimes i want to share them and then freak out about backlash but i feel like any backlash would just be from ableist people.

General Monkees Agere Headcanons
Davy and Peter regress the most often, but Micky does too sometimes! It's just a rarer occasion for him, and he doesn't drop quite as young as the other two.
Micky is more of an older kiddo, I'd say probably 9-10. Davy sits at 4-6, and Peter's the youngest at 3-4.
Davy and Micky can be troublemakers, but never out of malice. They're sweeties, they can just be a little rambunctious.
Peter is a verry chill lil guy. Loves to just cuddle up quietly and listen to music.
Davy and Peter are definitely very clingy. When Mike or Micky isn't around (which is a rare occasion, as Mike doesn't like leaving them unattended), they cling to each other like magnets till someone else comes back.
Micky is a biter!!! He's got a lot of chewelry that he uses even when big. He just likes to chew!!
Mike loves his kids so much and cares so much about them. After a rough adventure they all cuddle up together and Mike makes sure they're all okay.
Post Devil and Peter Tork, Peter is regressed for a while, and very needy. He can't be left alone because what if Mister Zero tries to come back for him?
Davy is the same way after the Success Story. Just in need of a lot of cuddles and reassurance.
Micky has to be wrangled into hugs when he's hyper, but when he's all tuckered out he's actually super cuddly. Like a big ol kitty cat.
That's all I've got for now hehehe :3
