favorite thing about them: I flip flop a lot on what my favorite trait of Naoya is, and I think I have three that consistently are my "favorite":

How principled he is. In Yuzu's eighth day, after Metatron announces that YHVH is forsaking humanity, Naoya states that while he didn't anticipate this, he's still pleased nonetheless because he got his wish of YHVH abandoning humanity. If Kazuya became the overlord, Naoya would kill two birds with one stone, both freeing humanity from YHVH's ordeals and getting his personal revenge, but clearly he is still satisfied if only the former has been fulfilled.

His resourcefulness. I absolutely LOVED learning how the demon summoning program worked. Also, taking God's punishment and turning that around to kill God? 10/10

This man is so petty. Using Romans 3:1-10 in the demon summoning program's boot sequence? I still would kill to know how the devs found such a fitting verse in the bible for this game.

least favorite thing about them: I feel like it's cheating to say his outfit, but honestly? In terms of writing, I feel like Naoya is one of the few characters that I consider to be perfect. Everything about him is so well-explained, and his motivations/emotions are so heartbreaking and understandable.

favorite line: Yeah, I can't choose just one. For the sake of the game, I'll say this one, because I'm still in law route feels hell:

"As the Earth tender, I offered God my finest crops. But what God wanted was blood! ... That's why I killed you! I pierced your heart over and over, and offered Him blood!"

brOTP: Lokiiiii. This is still one of my fave things I've ever drawn:

OTP: me UHHH no one honestly this man is too fucked up for me to see him being in a relationship. Maybe in his next lifetime once his punishment is over.

random headcanon: I'm trying to think of a hc that I haven't posted here and I'm blanking. Gonna go with my fave one which is that sometime after Kazuya kills God, Naoya just disappears for a while. No one knows where he went, and nobody can get ahold of him. He actually took a secret trip to offer wheat once more, as a final cathartic release for all of that resentment.
