Prologue
~
Malcom Landgrabb was sitting upstairs in his room doing his homework. When a strange feeling overtook him. The evil essence of Emily that had survived the destruction of one universe found a new host after I believing light can't exist without darkness decided to let the evil essence go into a new universe.
The once studious, kind Malcolm began to change right then and there as the evil corrupted him. The magic and evil power of Emily now becoming his. Changing his fate and the fate of this universe forever. I'm sorry it had to be you Malcolm.

"I used to be a lot like you. I worried about pleasing my parents. Being a good son, a good person, putting the needs of others over myself. Then one day I'm in my room when a ball of energy hits me and I feel different. I feel powerful, I feel free."
"You're delusional."
"No Kyle I'm a powerful. I've embraced the darkness and I have the power to make you just as evil and twisted as me."
"Never." Kyle replied anger in his voice.
I laughed. "You still think you have a choice? You're morals, you're kindness? That desire to help others and do the right thing? It's all about to be gone. You're still going to be an officer I need a corrupt cop in my corner if I am to build my empire and you're going to become my second in command. You're going to be mine."
I was still unsure of what happened to me or where my powers came from or how I knew spells and what spell I needed for each situation, but I began to cast the spell and immediately noticed as Kyle's demeanor changed and I smirked as his eyes glowed red briefly.
"How do you feel?" I asked with a smile on my face.
"I feel powerful. I'm ready to cause mayhem." Kyle smirked.
"You and I are going to do great things together Kyle."
"Right you are boss."

"Officer Kyle you really should have just kept your nose out of my business." I taunted the bound rookie officer. Everyone else had accepted my parents fate was just a tragic accident, but the twenty year old rookie saw through my crocodile tears from the get go.
"You'll never get away with this! I don't know how you're holding me, but once I get free I'm taking you in." Yelled as he struggled against invisible binds.
"Oh but I will. I'll also be getting away with a lot more with you're help."
"I would never help you." Kyle spat.
"Ah yes you're a goody goody by the book right is right and wrong is wrong loser."

Unfortunately for officer Kyle who couldn't keep is nose out of things it didn't need to be in I knew I had the ability to corrupt people and put their loyalty towards me. Having a cop under my thumb would make building my criminal empire way easier. The goody two shoes by the book cop would soon be not only my right hand man, but my eyes and ears in the station. He just needed to see the light or rather the darkness first.

Both times I played the part of the scared grieving son well. No one suspected a thing. Well almost no one. Turns out a officer Kyle was a lot smarter than people gave the rookie cop credit for. He had suspicions about me.

I waited a couple of months and then it was dear old Geoffroy's turn. Once again with my powers no one could determine a cause. They chalked it up to a broken heart. How pathetic is that?

I don't know what happened to me to cause me to change from the meek, mild mannered obedient son who just wanted to make his parents proud nor do I know how I knew I now had powers abilities and what I was capable of. But I was grateful for and welcomed the change. I spent my entire life trying to be perfect. To be what others wanted me to be. I was weak, pathetic. But not anymore.
I big plans for my new life and it didn't include mommy and daddy. It did include their money though. I used my new found powers to take Nancy out first. No one knew what happened to her. It was ruled natural causes. One down.
