[ENG Subs DL] SQS Episode 10 - Taikyoku Denki: Kanka Soran
Hello, hello~! Long time, no SQS! I've gotten to rewatching a lot of the previous stages, and even without the factor of my oshis being the focus characters this stage, SQS10 still became an immediate favorite! There's something about the Taikyoku Denki lore that just makes me go feral.
They expand on the Taikyoku Denki lore in a different way from TsukiSta 10 (both number 10!). Although I feel like this one is spicier than TsukiSta (〃^▽^〃)
Unlike previous stages, it isn't really divided into a RED and BLUE version. SQS 10, however, has a Senshuuraku (Closing Day) version that is slightly different from the main stage. I will not be spoiling anything, but if you know, you know👀
The new cast has been amazing, and they really delivered! They looked so good, the chemistry was there, the dancing, everything~! I'm looking forward to seeing more from them if ever we get a new production in the SQS Series~!
BD can still be bought here or here for those who want their own copy.
Taikyoku Denki pamphlet lore can be read here.
Notes, disclaimers, and link under the cut, enjoy~!

ok idk if you're sleeping BUT when you're available i would love to hear about ur latest skz concert experience <33
HI ok saur i’ve just washed up so let’s GO!!!!!
dominATE tour!!! i was so so lucky to get a good seat (cat 1 second row!) but my other concert buddies… were slightly further behind. i went alone but met up with other stays who also went alone, so we became a cute little group of 4! spent the time looking around and taking pictures together 🥺 they’re the cutest bunch ever. tbh it’s not my first time going alone (i.e skz maniac, cha eunwoo just one 10min) so i wasn’t that lost, but some of the other girls were so i became some sort of a mother duck weaving them through the crowds hahah !
i made little bracelets and gave them out as fansupport! was seated next to two j-stays and when i gave them, they went “kawaii!!” repeatedly; they’re so cute uGH
chan said he’s so happy to be able to kick off the start of the world tour in singapore 🫶 (in a later ment, he said he was jealous of stays who live here because it’s so pretty, and would love to spend more time here in the future :() he also made a lot of jokes about how it’s so “cold” here (haha :|) but ultimately said it’s hot because of stay 🥹
changbin did the chilli chilli crab crab dance again!! seungmin said they ate that yesterday, and that probably before their flight tomorrow they’ll eat pepper crab! changbin asked to share and seungmin said no because changbin eats 2 portions each time 😭😭 save my man please 😫
speaking of!!! changbin is my concert bias once again!!! idk man it’s just something about him that draws your eyes towards him… his stage presence is really no joke. he’s also super buff irl (please put me in a chokehold) (lovingly)
THE SOLOS1!!1!1!1! THEY’RE ALL SO AMAZING!!!!! seungmin was so angelic on the guitar! jisung and minho were so cute and fun to jump to! hyunjin!! such beautiful choreo!!!! the fact that they put chan’s and jeongin’s back to back is so criminal tho like how did they expect me to recover from shirtless chan to body-roll jeongin combo???? felix said his solo was based off beast’s pov from beauty and the beast! 🥺 of how life was so unfair for him 🥺🥺 and then when be the crowd was chanting “baby bread! baby bread!” seungmin then went on to say “nonono, he’s a man now” WHAT IF I CRIED!!!!!
they also played cult classics: miroh, district 9, MY PACE, back door, god’s menu, thunderous, case 143. i will never stop loving you, miroh.
at one point they were all just throwing water at stays and each other. they should’ve gone to waterbomb lmao i would’ve loved to see them with the water canons
omg as i was collecting confetti after the concert, a security aunty came up to me and was like “hi can i ask who was the one with the long hair?”
and i was like “oh the blond one?”
and she was like “yeah! the one with the half bun!”
so i was like “oh! that’s felix!”
“felix? like f-e-l-i-x?”
“yes, felix!”
“oh, he’s very handsome!”
“right??”
tbh i think last year’s maniac tour was better :/ maybe its because of the intimacy of the indoor stadium as compared to national? i also preferred last year’s setlist too T-T there’s no hellevator, haven, rock or yayaya 😪 they did have social path this year tho! and stray kids! lonely street and i like it too!! it’s the little wins 🥹
anyways 8/10 solid concert i love skz with all my heart and stays are so nice! it’s a blessing to be able to see my ults three times now 🥹 i’m p sure there’s more but i think i forgot haha will leave off with a message from chan:

I have always wanted to see glass animals in person would you be willing to share how it was
oh it was electric. absolutely brilliant - best energy during a concert I got to witness and be a part of in years, honestly.
they sound amazing live, everyone was hyped and singing and dancing - and for gooey dave got down from the stage and sang from the crowd, dancing with people. it was incredible and so, so fun. loved the setlist, too, as they played songs from all across their albums - and the crowd knew all the lyrics, of course, and recognised each song by the first damn second of it. really, the energy was through the roof.
my voice is gone and my back and legs hurt from dancing but it was absolutely worth it.
#my only wish would be for it to still be summer. this is music to vibe to and dance with people and get down and low and mellow and personal#which is hard to do in an otherwise cold hall with your jacket and boots on#this is music to kiss strangers to! but in october everyone has the remnants of flu and that's the last thing either of you want

Running List of No Scrubs Albums
Because even I can't keep up with them anymore lol. I'll update it as I go. Also yes there are 6 official albums with 6 songs each... because Gojo is lame lol. And yes the acoustic albums are 5 songs... because he's extra lame
Spotify Playlist
update as of 09/18/23 bc I'm a f** scrub with commitment issues clearly
1. Thanks, I Hate it Here:
The 2nd album by release order, but first in chronological order of when they played them live. Yes, Gojo was feeling himself in his classic FOB phase real hard on this one lol. I find the evolution of FOB's discography IRL to be really fascinating, so I wanted to emulate it in the fic. This album is almost entirely FOB because Gojo realized flopping around bands and genres was difficult for the rest of his band, so he decided to first focus on one kind of ‘sound’ until they got used to playing together.
Critics will later call it a bit unpolished and juvenile in comparison to the refined sound, themes, and quality production of later albums, with it's younger and simpler narratives. Thematically it tends to resonate more with a younger crowd, which people accredit to Ru-kun's assumed age of writing at the time (late teens). In other words, it becomes the quintessential 'middle school glory days' playlist for an entire generation of No Scrubs fans.
A Loaded God Complex - (Sugar We're Going Down) FOB
Reinventing the Wheel to Run Myself Over - FOB
In Too Deep - Sum 41
Homesick at Space Camp - FOB
A Little Less Sixteen Candles - FOB
Dance, Dance - FOB
-
2. Good News For People Who Love Bad News
This was No Scrubs' first album ever released on a streaming platform, but it compromises songs more from their 2nd live setlist chronologically. A cult favorite amongst the fans, this album is fun and bratty with a combination of punchy pop punk lyrics, theatrical narratives, and catchy hooks that become unanimous with the band's dramatic flair. No Scrubs always had a rep as an underground alternative band with petty delinquent vibes, but this album definitely solidified them as the patron saint of all the edgy and misunderstood goth punks.
At this point the band had been together for a few years and Gojo definitely felt satisfied with the way the band was coming together and wanted to throw in some more famous mid 2000s pop punk bands into the mix.
Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner - FOB
I'm Not Okay (I promise) - MCR
In One Ear - Cage the Elephant
But It's Better if You Do - Panic!
I Write Sins not Tragedies - Panic!
Jesus of Suburbia - Green Day
-
3. Death Before Decaf
After playing up the 'pop' quite a bit in the last album, No Scrubs digs deep into some gritty grunge roots with their third album, full of noisy amped up rock anthems. Thematically it was considered their strongest album at the time of release, with intense vocals and lyrics covering dark and personal topics beneath the guise of their distinctive and iconic instrumental riffs. The juxtaposition between the catchy sing-along hooks and the depressing deeper meaning to the words made this album an instant classic. It remains a fan favorite of music critics for Ru-kun's scorchingly honest handling of raw and deeply personal themes like suicide, depression, and substance abuses. After the identities of the band members became public, it became a hotly debated album amongst No Scrubs fans, who consider it a cathartic outlet for a lot of the trauma that turned Ru-kun into a villain, but also a worrying one full of suicidal ideation, alcoholism, drugs, and child abuse.
On his part, Gojo was feeling nostalgic for his youth and felt it an affront that the likes of Nirvana and Weezer had never been experienced in the MHA universe. He gets asked about these songs a lot, specifically about Today, Semi-Charmed Life, and Say it Ain't So, which all seem to allude to a dark history. He often tells people Semi-Charmed Life is one of his favorite songs ever, which doesn't help matters, and also alarms several psychologists, who worry he's romanticizing what was clearly a very unhealthy time in his life.
My Own Worst Enemy - Lit
Today is the Greatest - (Today) Smashing Pumpkins
Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
Come As You Are - Nirvana
Say It Ain't So - Weezer
Semi-Charmed Life - Third Eye Blind
-
4. Glass Onion Heart
Aka the "Baby boy who hurt you???" album inspiring sexuality crises across the world
Glass Onion Heart feels like a wild card of metamorphosis from No Scrubs' prior albums, with the addition of more electronic, pop, and synth instrumental mixing. Combined with the explosive and flashy tour that accompanied the album's release, it felt like a radical departure from the band's classic garage-band sound, into a more streamlined, pop format.
The album was met with divisiveness from fans, not helped by the news of the band's breakup following the album release and subsequent tour. While many adored the new direction, long-time fans mourned the loss of the quintessential indie and underground 'No Scrubs' aesthetic, especially when faced with the thought of their final album. Nonetheless, it was the band's most popular album at time of release by a wide margin. It certainly helped the album's popularity that Ru-kun did the entire tour in drag.
At this point fans the world over became intrigued by No Scrubs and their burgeoning fame, prompting Gojo to name the album 'Glass Onion' after the Beatles song of the same name, because there is no deeper meaning to any of his songs, he's literally ripping them off from bands that don't exist. Fans spend way too long trying to figure out who this album was inspired by - who could have possibly broken their precious Ru-kun's heart?? - and as we enlightened No Scrubs fans know, it was no one. Literally no one. Gojo just really liked this femme fatale vibe, and decided to cross dress the entire tour because of it.
Tokyo - The Wombats
Dance Floor Anthem - Good Charlotte
Thanks for the Memories - Fall Out Boy
I'm the Leading Man - (This Ain't a Scene) Fall Out Boy
Moving to New York - The Wombats
Misery Business - Paramore
-
5. Infinity on High
Hailed as a return to the unfettered, unabashed, anti-establishment garage-band jam-session appeal that had people flocking to No Scrubs in their heyday, this album made an intense splash as No Scrubs' Comeback Album. Despite the return to their signature gritty rock sound, this album was in fact the most produced of any of No Scrubs' albums. This album marks both the return of No Scrubs as well as their launch into global superstardom.
Ironically, Gojo named this after his favorite FOB album (I mean it IS called Infinity lol) despite not including a single FOB track. Fans widely consider "Island in the Sun" to be specifically about Hawks, which Gojo never confirms or denies (although he definitely did think the similarities to their island mission were amusing). In reality, the song that reminds him of Hawks - and himself - the most is Mayonnaise, which might be why it's one of his favorites.
Holiday - Green Day
Cherub Rock - Smashing Pumpkins
Cool Enough - (Mayonnaise) Smashing Pumpkins
1979 - Smashing Pumpkins
Island in the Sun - Weezer
Wake Me Up - (Wake Me Up When September Ends) Green Day
-
Bonus: Don't You Know Who (I Think) I AM? Acoustic Album
The first of Ru-kun's unexpected - and according to Makoto, utterly unplanned - acoustic albums, this bonus LP was met with delight and excitement from fans after Ru-kun had teased its release on Twitter. The intimate and personal nature of the simplistic mixing gave this album a cult following, and brought in a new segment of music fans that No Scrubs' music normally didn't appeal to.
Nobody Puts Baby In the Corner - Fall Out Boy
Grand Theft Autumn - Fall Out Boy
My Heart is the Worst Kind of Weapon - Fall Out Boy
Notion - Rare Occasions
No Such Thing - John Mayer
-
Bonus: Take (Me) With a Grain of Salt
Despite the critical acclaim this acoustic album (and the full band versions eventually released afterwards) it was met with a lot of incendiary response at the time of its release. No Scrubs had finally achieved global stardom and was regularly topping hit charts across the world with the release of their album Infinity on High - and while music critics unanimously praised the EP as a worthy contender for Album of the Year, it was generally acknowledged truth that the album's popularity was owed in no small part to lead singer Ru-kun's sudden infamy that coincided at the same time.
The unfathomable depths of Ru-kun's new celebrity status in parallel to the band's brand of off-label, anti-establishment themes created friction within the fanbase. Many accused them of taking advantage of the current media coverage to promote sales, which bassist and band leader Makoto clapped back as 'just doing smart business'. In general, consensus was positive towards the sentiment; capitalizing on Ru-kun's fame and releasing an album in parallel to his identity reveal was just genius marketing.
However the timing of the release of Ru-kun's second acoustic album kicked up the discourse once again, with fans decrying the release as 'a fake sellout' aimed to exploit current gossip trends. However the album's drop was sudden and unexpected - with little to no pre-release marketing - lending credence to the narrative that Ru-kun wrote this album under the emotional duress of his personal life at the time.
Due to the staggering popularity of the acoustic album, the band eventually recorded and released a B-Side with full band versions.
Disenchanted - MCR
Stay Together For the Kids - Blink-182
Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
How's It Going To Be - Third Eye Blind
All These Things That I've Done - The Killers

clancy tour (watching a livestream) essay 🙏
anon, this question made me so unbelievably happy omg. i just can't get around to the eras tour essay, however, i do feel the need to write, so we're doing this instead.
for the context: i woke up at 5:30 today to watch the livestream of clancy LA show. no, i wasn't there in person. but mentally i was.
please, listen to this incredible playlist while you read my essay (no one's gonna read, it mark my words):
i have decided we will just go through the entire setlist. i don't want to make this too long but i wanna talk about EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. let's fucking go.
OVERCOMPENSATE
so this is when i started crying. who the fuck cries on overcompensate, you would ask... well, me, apparently. i honestly think this is the best opener for both, an album and a show. this song gives me so much serotonin i can't even explain it. i'm always worried about tyler tho because his entrance looks dangerous (the jump, the jump, I AM TALKING ABOUT THE JUMP!). nothing bad happened tho, thankfully. i also noticed he was wearing the other version of clancy jacket today, the one with the hood. not that it's important, but it kinda is. for me at least.
HOLDING ON TO YOU
ok, so if you know me you probably know this is my ultimate favourite twenty one pilots song. and the live performance is even better with the crowd stand at the beginning (i swear to god, it's so incredible to me how much trust tyler has for the clique), clancy mask and lightbulb mic (you can tell tyler has a lot of fun with it), and my favourite part - josh's piano backflip during the bridge of the song. fucking iconic. what's not to love.
VIGNETTE
first thing i want to talk about is the insane transition from holding on to you to vignette. honestly, all transitions are so fucking amazing on clancy tour, it's impressive. now, tyler's little dance during this song is one of the most adorable things i've ever seen (he is such a cat omg) and and and! NEIL BANGING OUT THE TUNES!!! i'll be honest with you, because of this part vignette became one of my favourite songs from clancy and definitely one of my faves from this tour.
CAR RADIO
another one of my favourites. car radio will always hold a very special place in my heart, it's so relatable to me. it makes me so happy that we have a chance to see it being performed in clancy costume (and clancy mask!!!). and when tyler teleports at the end! (also i think he's wearing a totally different jacket in this clip which probably means he has three different clancy jackets, i have no proof tho so i'm just gonna shut up. the video is from LA night one tho. not my show). here's another clip, you can see how he teleported here.
THE JUDGE
ok, so for those who don't know, right before every show the fans in their incredible outfits are being filmed while singing the judge together and every night they show a different video of them singing first verse + chorus and then after that tyler comes out with his ukulele to finish the song. it makes me cry for no reason at all. yes, i cried today too (it just makes me so happy to see all the clikkies singing together and they all look so beautiful always). so what happened today? content warning glitch happened during fan video, you can watch it here, then blurryface tweeted this:
i am losing my goddamn mind over this, people on the livestream were losing their shit when this happened, I STARTED CRYING LIKE A GODDAMN FOOL BECAUSE I'M SO FUCKING EMOTIONAL ABOUT EVERYTHING THIS BAND IS DOING. ugh. i was so right to watch today's livestream. something's gonna happen soon guys. they are warning us.
(i added CUT MY LIP to the playlist but technically it's the judge/cut my lip mashup so there's really not much to say about it)
THE CRAVING + TEAR IN MY HEART
the transition. the goddamn transition!!! it's honestly so fucking cool and probably one of my favourite parts of the tour. i absolutely love all jenna's songs and everyone who says they should not be on the setlist, fuck you forever. in this house we stan all jenna's songs. i usually cry on the craving and tyler is being so silly during tear in my heart - this is my favourite thing in the world. plus, do you really hate the sound of ukulele???
BACKSLIDE
ok, i actually started crying as soon as i realized we're singing backslide now. i love this song so goddamn much, it means the world to me. at one point it was my favourite song from clancy. the chorus breaks my poor little heart every single time and live performance of this song is so emotional... especially at the end when tyler is on his knees (the video is not from tonight's show but it's my favourite one from backslide, please watch it, his vocals here are INSANE). it's like crying for help. i wanna kill myself now. i relate to this song so much. also, backslide is the reason i decided to buy clancy tour tickets, so there's that.
SHY AWAY
oh, thank god this one is on the setlist. you know how much i love scaled and icy and i think out of all the songs from this album shy away is the best one to put on the setlist because the live performance is always so fun!!! don't you shy aWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! the scream is absolutely fucking everything oh my god. actually, i just love when tyler screams. but don't we all.
HEATHENS + NEXT SEMESTER
ok, now don't hate me, please, but i was never the biggest fan of heathens (i don't hate the song, i like it, just not as much as the others. i probably wouldn't cry if it wasn't on the setlist). however, the transition (again!!!) from heathens to next semester is the best goddamn thing in the entire world and i am losing my mind every single time i come across any clip of this moment. please, watch it, this is everything!!! one question tho: i know tyler was playing bass on the platform for next semester and he didn't do that today, did he just stop doing this recently or is it because of what happened yesterday during the show? (not during this song tho, or at least i know nothing about it, but it seems like LA fans absolutely cannot behave and he was definitely being more careful today, more about it later tho).
ROUTINES IN THE NIGHT
oh boy, this is my vigilante shit for real. remember vigilante shit performance from the eras tour and how everyone was losing their shit when they saw taylor doing the choreography with this motherfucking chair? yes. it's basically that except tyler is fully dressed. which is even worse maybe (y'all know how i feel about his clothes for some reason). one of my favourite songs from the album, but after seeing the live performance for the first time i became absolutely obsessed with the song. i was genuinely scared today because this is basically what happened last night in LA (i swear to god people are acting like fucking animals) and i noticed that tyler was being much more careful this time: he wasn't coming so close to people, and honestly good for him. he didn't even let them touch him during this part. i can't blame him. i feel so bad for what happened. hope he's ok.
ADDICT WITH A PEN + MIGRAINE + FOREST + FALL AWAY
my favourite mashup in the entire fucking world. but before we get into it, please this is so fucking funny and adorable. so basically, before playing the mashup, tyler sat by the piano and he said "currently i'm temperature hot. so i would want to take my jacket off, i promise not to turn on all the dads tonight" and then this happened. poor guy didn't know what to do LMAO. he's such a cutie, please watch the video, he's so adorable i can't. he's also the funniest person on earth. back to the topic, the mashup... i am such a slut for their old songs and this mashup is absolutely fucking insane. the song i love the most out of those is, of course, forest. according to tyler, this song is so old it basically doesn't exist. fuck you, tyler joseph. i can't believe i'm going to hear it live tho, holy shit. i will be fucking SOBBING during this part, i just know that.
MULBERRY STREET
this is such a fun song to play live and one of my favourite moments. you can tell how much fun tyler has each time they play it, also this! this is everything!!! he's always so happy when this happens, he trained us well hahaha. it's so fun omg. can't wait to be a part of it. this has always been one of my favourite songs from scaled and icy so i'm glad they decided to keep it on the setlist.
NAVIGATING
get in, losers. we are entering the lore now. ok, honestly, this part of the tour is absolutely everything to me. torchbearer with his torch? and clancy jacket?? coming to pick him up so they can perform while dema is burning??? AAAAAAAAAAAAAA. oh my GODD. also, navigating is so special to me (i picked this url for a reason) and live performance of this song is fucking fire. watch it. watch the clip. just watch the goddamn clip, will you? we all know this song is on the setlist because of josh, so everybody say thank you josh. also you can tell tyler is very emotional about this song and i just wanna give him a hug. oh my god. i can't wait to hear it live. this will fix me (it will probably make me worse).
NICO AND THE NINERS + HEAVYDIRTYSOUL
the MOTHERFUCKING transition!!! i know i say this a lot but i am such a slut for all the transitions on this tour, oh my god. they are so good. also i absolutely fucking love how we're still in the lore and also, the visuals are absolutely incredible, and also, nico and the niners is one of my favourite songs (the one that got me into their music actually) and also heavydirtysoul live is INSANE and also-
MY BLOOD
ok, i'm sorry, i keep forgetting that this song is on the setlist. it's not one of my favourites (don't fucking hate me, i like it, it's just not my fave). i will be very much singing it at the concert tho cause it's so good live. not much to say about it tho.
OLDIES STATION
boy, here we go. so i started crying at the very beginning of the song and honestly i have no idea how i'm going to handle this live. i am so very normal about this song. it means everything to me. the worst part of it tho was when during the song tyler said "thank you so much for using our music. you've saved us in ways you'll never know". OH MY GOD. i started weeping even more. it's like... their music saved US but we also saved THEM and i need 3-5 business days to recover after that. good lord. listen, i love slowtown and i'm sad that it's not part of the setlist anymore, but i love oldies station a hundred times more and that was a good change me thinks.
FAKE YOU OUT + GUNS FOR HANDS
putting those two together just because i can and i will. vessel is such a great album and it makes me so happy that those two are on the setlist. screaming "our brains are sick but that's okay" with the entire arena is going to fix me, for sure. also, here's the clip of tyler messing up the lyrics (he basically went kjbufbfkkjejkebfkjk after that lmao). can't blame him. the rap part is so fast. i died tho. he's so funny, please.
LAVISH
i can't even begin to explain how happy i am to have this one on the setlist. it's the funniest moment on tour and i love watching them being stupid on stage. also, jOsH iS sHiRtLeSs. the walk, THE WALK LMAO. the best choreography you've ever seen. i just love seeing them so silly and happy and this is everything. i paid a lot of money to see this live. i'm definitely not gonna regret this.
RIDE
so the thing i love about this tour is that every single night while performing this song tyler brings a different kid to sing the chorus with him (it's the equivalent of giving the hat during 22 on the eras tour i would say). tonight we had an adorable girl named callie (if i'm correct). she did so well! also i was giggling so much when tyler said she's cute (he was giggling too hdshfbhekj). i just love watching him with kids, it's so sweet!!! also she had a great beanie with band's logo, i want one too. please watch the clip of them singing together!
PALADIN STRAIT
i was crying. i was crying so much, i love this song and the live performance is so emotional. i put the song bandito on the playlist, because there's this moment in the song where tyler is singing the bridge of paladin strait and josh is singing bandito at the same time and OH MY GOD. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THAT MEANS FOR THE LORE??? THIS IS SO CLEVER AND I AM LOSING MY GODDAMN MIND EVERY SINGLE TIME I THINK ABOUT IT. please, watch. this is sick as fuck. you don't understand. do you even understand? OR AM I THE ONLY ONE I KNOW???? i'm sorry i just can't i can't i am defeated i am absolutely insane about this part. also, the ending when they are showing the clip of paladin strait music video combined with other clips which looks like a flashback from clancy's life and his never ending battle with nico? the fuck??? and then we go straight to...
JUMPSUIT
the motherfucking coat. not gonna say anything else. just. the coat. oh dear lord. now i am temperature hot.
MIDWEST INDIGO
now my favourite part of midwest indigo is tyler taking off his coat very slowly. because he fucking knows what he's doing. but also, this song is so special to me. i know he wrote it as a love letter to ohio and i'm not even american but somehow this song always makes me think about my hometown. the live performance is so great. the beginning with the bass! he's adorable!
STRESSED OUT
"i don't want stressed out on the setlist it's so overplayed" kill yourself. i love stressed out because i have good taste. it's fun. it's a great song with great lyrics and you fuckers hate it only because it's popular. just shut up. shut the fuck up. in this house we actually enjoy listening to good songs. i personally want it to be on every setlist. if stressed out has no fans it means i killed myself. i'm dead. i'm gone. stressed out defender forever and always. also clancy tour version is incredible. just watch it and shut the fuck up.
TREES
again, i was so scared about my boys because of what happened yesterday in LA. people are fucking animals. i'm so glad, because tyler actually decided to call them out for this and seems like it was much better today. but still. guys please, behave, cause if you're not gonna start acting responsible they are going to stop performing like this. it's still insane compared to the opening night of clancy tour where people didn't even come closer until tyler told them to. i also just noticed now that tyler's t-shirt had black font today (the previous one had red font) for the first time. i think i was just too tired to notice this before. there's not much i can tell you about trees, because you just simply have to be there to understand. it's a perfect song to end the show (for those who don't know: they always close their shows with this one), it's something i experienced live once before and i can't even compare it to anything. i wasn't even crying. my soul literally just left my body. trust me, there's absolutely nothing like trees live. i can show you thousands of clips and it will never be enough. nobody does it like them. seriously. this is the moment. the moment of all moments. i am in fact crying now...

OPEN MIC AT WATERBOMB!
insp. by @venusvity <3 The girls are also mentioned at the end of the post. Feel totally free to have your ocs attend their show or to have OPEN MIC at your oc’s.
🎙️‧₊˚ ⭑.ᐟ ⋅ 𓂃 THE OUTFITS!
— For such a special event, they were given full control over their appearance on stage. So after a week of planning, the members settled on wearing silly shirts and denim for funsies. It was really on brand with the group’s fun and carefree image, so fans went absolutely feral over them.
— Hada’s t-shirt was literally a joke! Like he literally got it made specifically for the festival. It was supposed to stay as a cute memory within the members, but ended up going viral and having to be added to the group’s official merchandise.
🎙️‧₊˚ ⭑.ᐟ ⋅ 𓂃 THE SETLIST
— DINGA
— Suzue’s ment.
"My dear Chanters! Welcome to our show. We’re beyond excited to be here; you guys have no idea. We absolutely love Waterbomb, right?" She turns to her group mates, who nod enthusiastically. Hada and Diwa, already armed with water guns, approach Suzue and aim their guns at her playfully.
"Oh, no. Don't you dare! Not just yet, please. This makeup took forever. See, Chanters? This is what I mean. Waterbomb is always so much fun, and we love having fun in our performances. You guys were the loudest crowd last year, but I expect you to top that today. We will too, promise! If you know this next song, sing along. It's SOUR CANDY! So sweet, then I get a little angry." She giggles cutely as the music kicks in.
— SOUR CANDY
— Diwa’s ment.
"Yass, I love this song! How’s it going, Waterbomb?" The crowd roars back. "Sounds like you’re having a blast. Today’s show is packed with surprises. I don’t want to give too much away, but I might just…spit it out." Diwa pauses, giving a cheeky grin like she's up to no good. "I could really use some backup vocals, Chanters, so everyone sing along!"
— SPIT IT OUT! Diwa’s solo
— River’s ment.
"Yo, Waterbomb! How was Diwa’s performance? I'd say she fucking killed it!" The crowd screams in agreement, and Diwa takes a dramatic bow before running to one of the big water guns on stage. "Man, I don't know if I can top that. But I hope you guys will help me out too. I've been thinking about how to make this performance unforgettable. What if we...record a TikTok together? Hey Suzue! Bring your phone." Suzue briefly leaves the stage and returns with a phone in hand. After a couple of minutes of prep, everything is set to record. "Alright, let’s do this, Chanters. This is ANY SONG? I hope you know the dance!"
— ANY SONG? River’s solo
— WORK
— Hada’s ment.
"Chanters… We’re nearing the end of this amazing day. It’s been a pleasure to be here with you. I hope you’ve had as much fun as we have, you guys are the best crowd anyone could ask for. Really! We’ve got one more song for you. It’s my favorite from our latest mini album and it’s super special to me because Diwa and I wrote it together. Please, Chanters, sing as loud as you can with us. This is TASTE TEST!"
— TASTE TEST
🎙️‧₊˚ ⭑.ᐟ ⋅ 𓂃 THE SHOW!
— OPEN MIC’s third Waterbomb! The hype was real, guys! Everyone was crossing their fingers for the group to be confirmed for Waterbomb Seoul. When it finally happened, fans lost it.
— Usually, OPEN MIC is known for their epic live shows. It's so much fun seeing the members doing their thing on stage and having a great time, hitting every note flawlessly. But let me tell you, Waterbomb was on another level!
— For the setlist, they chose all of their forever fan favorite tracks together with their most recent trendy songs like TASTE TEST, featured in their last mini album.
— From all of the member’s solo songs featured in both their mini albums and OPEN MIC PARTY series, only two of them were chosen to be performed. Fans were a tad upset about Suzue and Hada not performing one of their songs, specially Hada’s </3 GIRL, a fan favorite.
— Diwa’s choice of song was also…unexpected! Everyone was expecting her to perform her latest solo release, GOOD LUCK XO, which was even trending on TikTok at the moment. Our girl did not speak a word about the reason behind the decision, which made everything even weirder!
— Two words: blonde River. Long-haired blond River, actually. Which is even better, if you ask me. It was so unexpected, given the fact that he likes to keep his hair natural or in some dark color. So yeah, his choice for the festival was not on people’s year bingo cards. But everyone went crazy over it!
— River recorded a TikTok while performing his solo ANY SONG?, doing its little trendy choreography with the crowd behind him all while Hada soaked him with one of the big water guns.
— This little trip down memory lane resulted in the song re-entering the charts at #4, and Chanters bringing back the trend with a new twist under the hashtag #ANYSONGSummerEdition.
— After their show, the group was spotted in the crowd at WayV, Taemin and Venus’s shows. Diwa and Suzue also went to see Nayeon, while River and Hada popped up by Loco’s show.
— They took over Instagram with pics and vids from the shows plus then just genuinely having a good time, singing and dancing along to their favorite artists. One of Suzue’s clips of Ten from WayV went viral, and now it’s one of the most used fancams on Twitter.

Today's setlist was literally the same as the first day of Kyoto, to complete my bad luck of today, because I had to go and mention my preference. However, it ended on a much better note than the 16th because it wasn't a special day, and there were so many announcements after the show. And overall, of course it was amazing nevertheless and I knew what to expect but it went a bit beyond that.
I'll focus mostly on the highlights, or differences from the past performances of this week.
I think that everyone was back to wearing their MOAN outfits like on the first day (which also hinted that the setlist might be the same), except Kyo. He wore a two-piece similar to day 2 which showed a large portion of his abdomen above his hips, but the two pieces were completely different. The top had puffy sleeves and frills on the shoulders, which prevented his massive pearl necklace accessory from slipping when he moved, like it had on the 17th eventually. The bottom piece was a simple long skirt, no folds. All black, of course. There were short portions of frills near the hips on the skirt. This time, with my seat much closer to the stage, I could see the beautiful faded pink outline of his jaw and the side of his face, with his face maybe whitened a bit.
Since I'd seen online that Zepp DiverCity Tokyo had a rather flat floor, I didn't want to risk being unable to see even more, so I purchased a ticket being resold. It turns out that line A was inexistent, so the first line in front was B. Honestly, while it was awesome to see things up closer, especially Kyo's facial expressions this time, I do appreciate having seen sukekiyo from afar, because their shows have so much theatrics thanks to the projections. I literally barely saw them at all from where I sat today.
The show started with awful audio for Margaret, bur it improved after a while. Kyo for some reason kind of forgot "Iro wa ochi namida ni" and maybe the one that followed too. He tried to act natural and pick back up when he could. It was odd because the other members also made mistakes and yet this was the show being filmed. I think it was during Candis that one of the repeated keyboard notes was played one time too many, and there was another song in which it was UtA who did something wacky with his pedals which sounded super off.
For Gloss, I can't remember any highlights. Very emotional "Kokoro wo shibaritsukete" moments though.
Aishita Shinzou, I think that was the song during which Kyo drops to the floor and snakes his way back up slowly, and that he later teased a leg by raising his skirt. A lot of dancing! And it was definitely at the part about "tensed flesh" that Kyo touched the area between his legs seductively.
Candis, definitely from my view way to the right of the stage but also on the first floor, it was super not obvious that the projection made the stage look like the PV location. Anyway, super fun with the penlight! I don't know if it was just me, but it seemed as if Kyo sometimes could raise his hand higher during the "Iya Iya Iya", but that he kind of restricted how high he did it because we also couldn't raise our penlights to block anything outside of our own little space.
From the side by the way, and because Kyo kept raising his arms and arching his back in some songs, it was rather hot to see his tattooed skin move in the space between his pieces of clothing!
Oh and the way Kyo rotates on the spot at the end of most songs to sip water or just turn his back to us, arms straight to his sides, really looks so cool and kind of like a doll.
Valentina was great, of course! Even though Kyo seemed to point the kiss without a word everywhere except toward my section. I forgot to mention it before, but there is a time when he doesn't sing "Do you need me?"x2, I think when the song mellows down before pumping back up. I don't know if it's just for these Shikkoku no Gi shows, but he looks at us and places his index finger to his mouth, as if to make sure that we stay quiet, or maybe it's more in-character because the "Don't answer" comes after those lyrics in other parts of the song. So it's as if the character doesn't even ask if the other person needs them because they don't want to know, in fact. But then he does sing it in the louder part that comes next hahah.
I can't remember anything specific for MOAN.
Oh but yo, I think it was in Aishita Shinzou and another one of those pop songs, Kyo swung his hips sideways so much, it was nothing new to him.
Kuchi ni ringo had the "sono makka na iro janai" screeched again. Being under the blue sea of light this time, the vision is actually unobstructed but the effect can't be appreciated as much. In the song, during the Lan lan lan part, Kyo swung his arm around in a kind of stabbing manner, but I guess he was hammering a nail like he then sings. At the end of the song, his joined fingertips forming a womb actually spent more time moving downward past his hips, and he seemed to offer it outward much less. He even made it move more toward his chest, maybe over his heart? He got tangled up in one of the pearl necklaces and like a pro, he just adjusted his rotation for the next "Aaah Shikyuu ga hoshii".
aftermath really displays Kyo's high-pitched notes in all their glory.
After that, Kyo again sat down to be pampered, a zoom projected on screen simultaneously. It seemed to be much, much shorter tonight though, and the chair was different, a normal height and styled more like the one that was on stage in the tour where Kyo had the fluffy white petticoat. The session that followed had a mix of emotions, and Kyo generally felt more free to end some songs with a reverberating grunt, sigh, etc.
Houmonsha X picked up on that generally whiny/frustrated improvised session and it felt like Kyo really had quite the range of facial expressions. He also makes most of the same gestures as in the PV, which is broadcast above him on the screen. His dancing was more robotic, and I don't know if he danced as if it to avoid stepping on the lights this time around. From the first floor, you totally can't see that detail.
Rongai na ikimono toshite was superb. Intense, aggressive. I think it was in this song that there was a lot of Kyo gesturing to hit the back of his hands against one another. I don't know what it was supposed to refer to. His rings were supposed to hit?
The reflective part of "Aishita? Aishita...i" has a spiral composed of many lines swirling, it's perfect for the mood. Rongai na ikimono toshite was definitely one of the songs where Kyo continued to make guttural sounds at the end, where in the studio recording he's singing the first line in reverse.
Kawattekuremasen deshou ka? was great again, a bit less emotional than I personally feel about it, but still. A majority of the lyrics were added to the videos being displayed this time around! It felt like it added more personality to the song. Yet somehow, the part of "Naze watashi dake hontou no ai wo shiranai" is the one omitted from the screen, like more emphasis is put on the following verse. And when Kyo sings the title of the song, he comes up to the screen and essentially asks whether anyone here in the audience could consider changing places. At the end of the song, Kyo purposely places his hands over the pink lights on his mic stand to obscure his face and create a more dramatic ending.
The biggest highlight of the night by a land slide is Yumemi doro! To set up the situation, at the end of Kawattekuremasen deshou ka?, Kyo's foot caught in either his mic stand or his mic cord, almost making the stand fall over. He noticed on time and prevented it. But that just seemed to give him an idea, because he almost pole-danced that mic stand in Yumemi doro. He then lifted his skirt again I think on both sides, but definitely on his left side high enough that we got to see the underpant (not actual underwear) section of the skirt, and he lifted that exposed leg twice to hug the mic stand.
There was one song in the lot where Kyo dropped to the floor, maybe that aforementioned time in Aishita Shinzou, and he licked his stand about near the height where someone's hips could be, but that's just a measurement for you all, I don't know if it was intended hah.
The other thing about Yumemi doro is that range of distorted vocals which was again even more enhanced and deranged in this live performance. Being closer, it was so cool to observe not only Kyo's facial expressions during those, but also the way he moves his jaw, his throat, etc. to produce that diversity.
Scarlet was more tame in comparison, but anything would be. The drums and bass really hit you full force the most in this song.
Tada, mada, watashi. was powerful as always. I was able to confirm that it's "Oyasumi" in hiragana that's displayed right before the restart of the song near the last portion.
Hakudaku and Uso, same as before.
Before Kokyuu... Kyo slowly came back up to the mic stand after emitting a sad sigh, eyes downcast.
Fortunately, we weren't left on that note. After Takumi, the last one to leave, bowed a couple of times on his way out, there were all the announcements that I posted, plus a best album to be released too. Each time a specific announcement ended, the message on screen said: "Otanoshimini..." (Look forward to it...) until the last one, which sounded more authoritary: "Look forward to it!"
I got my little share of Frameout kara no because it was the song used during the announcement for the tour in August, I guess.
Overall, I'm so glad that this show got filmed. It's weird not seeing cameramen moving around like during Dir en grey shows: what I saw was one small camera on a stand at the very edges of the stage, one small on a very short stand right in front of Kyo on stage, pointing up at him, and a camera mounted on a tall arm that kept moving around, from the side of the stage besides Mika. There must have been other cameras in the back of the venue too.
And Takao Ogata was right there when Kyo hugged the mic stand with his legs and showed off his left leg up on it. We better see those pictures at some point!!

are there any songs you think they should bring back for the setlist or a song you wish they would play live?
also which live performances are your favorite? (you could even go by era cuz i think each era is pretty unique)
ok so i need to start this off by saying BRING POOL BACK IMMEDIATELY!! please with the intro and everything. it’s just so fucking good. next up, which i know might be controversial, but i’d love to hear fences live once (i would watch this video all the time when i was younger, it just seems like a lot of fun). i always think it sounds so cool. and then obviously i’m on my knees screaming and crying for them to bring back Let The Flames Begin / Part II, which i know they’re probably sick of but it always turned out so good!!! and Turn It Off & Careful are my #1 picks. like, genuinely I need to hear them live or else. Also, Sugar on the Rim.
anyways i used to be better at pinpointing my favorite performances because i would watch them to a point where it was super concerning, now i’m a bit more mellow about it. however, since you asked i will attempt to deliver. just for you, dear anon.
this is in no particular order or anything, basically i’m just going off what i remember really saying damn this is good about (which is super easy when you love a band like paramore).
First off let’s start with the Miracle Outro performed during Brand New Eyes era. this song just goes so fucking hard and i curse Josh Farro for the fact that he wrote it so they couldn’t record it and release it since he left the band soon thereafter.
Paramore at Wembley Arena in 2009 — This concert is so good. like thank god this person filmed it and decided to upload it to youtube. I cannot get enough of Intro / Ignorance. truly.
RTMorasonMD had a great full concert vid from 2010, the sound quality is great for 2010 too. considering most of the time videos look like they were filmed with an nintendo D.S..
Paramore at The House of Blues in Anaheim, California (2006) this is like nostalgia city for me. I remember running my old paramore fan account on instagram and stumbling on this and being like… i’ve hit the paramore jackpot. shout out to Paramore History for always posting the real hard to find stuff… where would we be without you?
When Paramore performed Careful at Warped Tour in 2011 or like the whole Warped Tour Set — i will say this over and over again on this post but i have to be real with you when i say, i watched these videos so much it’s crazy. but careful was my favorite. i love careful. any performance or careful and i’m there.
Paramore live in Paris (2013) when i tell you i watched this religiously i mean it. i could probably do all the dance moves / movements hayley did in this specific video way back when. i was obsessed.
Paramore performing Let The Flames Begin / Part II at Bunbury in Cincinnati (2014) i just love this one. like all of these are just nostalgic for me and i can’t help but want to show you.
When Paramore performed Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen and then it went into Hallelujah by Paramore (lol) at Parahoy (2016). What a way to open the show. i mean, i remember watching the final riot and being totally in love with Hayley’s voice and the way she sang it. I think I was introduced to Hallelujah by Shrek but Paramore was the second one to show me the ways of Leonard Cohen. Thanks for that.
I Caught Myself in Hamburg (2017) is an obvious one but I feel like I had to mention it… the emotion Hayley fucking pours into this performance makes me want to cry.
Turn It Off live from Grand Casino in Hickley, MN (2017) we’ve all seen this one i think? but what an incredibly breath taking performance of turn it off. i mean.. damn.
Fake Happy performed at Rock for People in the Czech Republic (2017) the quality is insane for this one. I remember being totally obsessed with this. so i’m adding it here; to share with you.
Pool / Idle Worship in Paris (2018) something must be in the water when they go to paris because i love these videos.
Pool live in Amsterdam (2018) is another one that came to mind cuz the sound quality goes crazy. it’s just beautiful.
The full 2018 RED ROCKS show because the sound is great and i just remembered being obsessed with this. you’re kinda cracking my head open like an egg with this ask and i love it.
Paramore at Concrete Street Amphitheater (2018) incredible footage, incredible show.
Simmer live in Bakersfield (2022) i have to add this because she’s gone too soon. like they should be performing this one nonstop. but i also understand crystal clear is a bop so it’s fine… i’m fine. PLAY SUGAR ON THE RIM OR ELSE!!!
Crystal Clear debut in Dublin / Dreams (the cranberries cover) (2023) I mean….. we all know about the Dreams cover but I just have to add it here because wow. i love it. it’s incredible. and the crystal clear debut is just insane because the person filming that knew what they were doing. High Quality to the MAX baby.
Crave / Outro live at The O2 in London (2023) I mean I just love this video. like, what’s not to love.
Speaking of quality, this video of You First performed in Cleveland Ohio (2023) is available to watch in 2610p60, which basically means it’s better than your eyeballs. incredible stuff. just insane.
there’s probably a whole lot more i can’t think of at the moment, maybe i’ll make a list eventually. but i hope you like this in the mean time. ❤️ thanks for sending me this ask and letting me talk about my favorite band. send me an ask anytime (goes for everyone, i love this).

Ellaaaa please tell us about your show!!! I want the whole account (if you want to/when you have time ofc)!! I'm so happy you got to hear fine line live ahhh you totally deserved it!!!
AAAAAAHHHHHHHH KIND ANON I CAN SCREAM ABOUT IT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE
so we had front of stage tickets and it was 100% the best ticket ive ever had so far: zero effort for an insane view and a fantastic place in the crowd with all the space we needed to dance and more. i've queued before and just really never want to again for more than enough reasons, and here was shown how i seriously didn't need to.
wet leg was epic. i am obsessed with them they are so fucking cute and also cool and also hot and also good. yes. i screamed my frustrations to the sky with them and all was good in the world.
and then. i'll just say immediately that the setlist is fantastic and definitely the best collection of songs i've ever heard of his, despite lights up not being there. the beginning was super fun and energetic, he is a master showperson, but it's in a way that is uniquely his. you can look at him and be in awe of the grandiose performance filling that entire stage, and then see that he's also smirking, skipping along the runway and pulling faces at his band. it's just. !!!!!!!!! you know?!?!?
my soul left my body during stockholm syndrome. goosebumps forever, bc of the sheer disbelief that im hearing a 1d song live. harry smiling, us screaming.
i've always wanted to hear she live, too, so that was just... mesmerizing. there were orchids projected on stage and it was all so perfectly fitting. our orchid, our mermaid. note the colors as well :')
then it was a big fucking party. just dancing and singing like we've never done before. he really felt happy and like he felt good, so happy and jokey. he grabbed Three pride flags during tpwk, and this was my first time witnessing the brass quartet as well. it was a BIG FUCKING PARTY
grapejuice is also so fun live. it's always such an experience to hear him sing a song live that he hasn't really sung before. i could tell that it's a tough one to sing, but he made it fun and quirky and cute.
aaaaaand THEN HE SANG FINE LINE. he sang fine line. holy shit. this is like. i grieved when he decided to stop singing it last european leg, it hit me hard. i think i've said it a shitton of times already on here but fine line is a song i listen to every morning and every night, it's the only thing that can calm me through a panic attack. it's an anthem of perseverance, hope and self-love. hearing it live was just me being transfixed, mesmerized, by what was unfolding in front of me, and slowly crying more and more. a tight tight hug from @bluewinnerangel through the sobs at the end was necessary bc we were all falling apart. in the best way
the darkness and pause after that were also necessary to get us back on track, for a show that was going to rake us through the entire spectrum of the human emotion once more. sign of the times was just. gasp
the PARTY that then ensued during wmyb. that bse intro is something else. any 1d reference obviously unlocks something unhinged in my brain that makes me fucking lose it, but hooooly shit. it goes SO HARD. wmyb always does and i'll never get sick of it.
to finish us off, of course, we have our rock: kiwi. the heaviness of that intro is addictive. his menacing gaze when he's choosing who to soak. the fucking SONG GOES SO HARD. IM HAVING YOUR BABAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY
and then it was over. but it felt extra extra good bc i knew i would be experiencing it again hahahrghr and my body is definitely stiff from the legit workout i did during the concert last night so. holy shit fuck yes

Sorry to bother you with this question but I don't really know anyone in FOB fandom. I'm not new here, but I do work an extremely busy job (I'm an ER nurse) so I am admittedly a bit lost on some things about this current tour. Like what is the 8 ball stuff, and do you happen to know any general set list for the shows? If you don't feel like answering, that's totally cool too. I see a lot of your posts in the FOB tag so I thought I'd ask. :) Thank you in advance! xx
First, thank you for your all that you do in healthcare! Absolutely no apologies, I'm happy to help :)
Major tourdust spoilers ahead! (of course)
I'm going to take this ask as a chance to explain all the setlist fun stuff in one spot, so here we go! The setlist has been consistent except for four main points, which I'll explain below. For ease, I'm going to be referring to Bonner Springs' setlist (6/24/23), so when I use numbers to refer to song placement, those are the ones I mean.
If you wanna skip ahead anon, magic 8 ball is explained in letter D :]
A. The first change in the setlist has only happened once and takes place 6th in the setlist, following 16 candles and preceding Grand Theft Autumn. It's usually Chicago Is So Two Years Ago, but has also been Homesick at Space Camp and Dead On Arrival (after their respective tour debuts as magic 8 ball songs). Songs 6-8 are played in a TTTYG themed section of the set every night.
B. The second change is slightly more regular and takes place 12th in the setlist. This song is often "The Take Over, The Breaks Over," but every now and then it gets swapped out for Hum Hallelujah, as well as Bang the Doldrums (after its live debut as a magic 8 ball song in LA). It was once swapped out with 7 Minutes in Heaven (Atavan Halen).
C. The third change is different almost every night, with only a couple repeats here and there. This is Patrick's section of the setlist, at track 15 after Fake Out, where he just plays one or two snippets of songs on piano (or sometimes acoustic guitar) before a shortened cover of Journey's Don't Stop Believin'. Oftentimes, if he plays two songs, one of them is from Fall Out Boy and the other is a cover of whatever he feels like. Often referred to as "piano medley" or just "medley." (Golden, What A Catch, Donnie, and What a Time to be Alive have been very popular relatively for this part of the setlist, sksk patrick)
D. The fourth and final change on the setlist is known as the "Magic 8 Ball" song and takes place after Hold Me Like a Grudge at track 23. This song is where Pete asks a "giant magic 8 ball" (a screen above the stage) what song they should play anywhere from their entire discography. Here's a video of him asking (the spiel is about the same every night). Each magic 8 ball song has been different for each show, with exceptions described in letter H. Some of these songs have never been played live before, some haven't been played in over a decade, some just haven't been played in a while or as often but they are a complete secret/surprise every night! Additionally, Pete has said that once a song has been played for the magic 8 ball section, it can appear elsewhere in the setlist at future shows. So, really, anything can happen.
Fall Out Boy has gotten even more unhinged lately, so here are a few more setlist changes.
E. As mentioned above, the piano medley usually ends with a cover of Journey's Don't Stop Believin'. Twice now, however, this song has been sacrificed for other songs: August 1st for Gym Class Heroes' Travie Mccoy being brought on stage (Patrick played part of Stereo Hearts on piano, then they all played Cupid's Chokehold) and again on August 2nd for Sweet Caroline (a Boston Red Sox/Fenway Park tradition). The Journey cover has been played every show since.
F. Up until recently, a cover of Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train has been played after Baby Annihilation and before Dance, Dance. Enter Sandman by Metallica seems to have replaced Crazy Train in the setlist as of August 5th. Sometimes referred to (by me) as the "metal cover."
G. The only song from MANIA to make it on the tour's setlist, The Last of the Real Ones, has been cut from the setlist for a second Magic 8 Ball song (occurring right after the first Magic 8 Ball song). At first, it seemed like it was cut only for the duration of Patrick's sickness or for noise curfew, but it has not yet returned as of August 5th. It was a part of the "permanent" setlist up until July 29th, when it was last played.
H. As mentioned in letter G, a second Magic 8 Ball song has been added to the setlist every night since July 30th (Toronto, ON). The following cities have gotten two Magic 8 Ball songs:
LA, CA (July 2nd and 3rd) - first sold out show of the tour, Pete's home
Toronto, ON (July 30th) - only date in Canada
Forest Hills, NY (Aug 1st) - possible nod to the Hella Mega Tour dates that the band were unable to play due to a COVID-19 exposure
Boston, MA (Aug 2nd) - possible nod to the Hella Mega Tour dates that the band were unable to play due to a COVID-19 exposure
Darien Center, NY (Aug 4th) - possible nod to the Hella Mega Tour dates that the band were unable to play due to a COVID-19 exposure
Camden, NJ (Aug 5th) - they're probably just having a lot of fun doing spontaneous songs at the end of this leg! <3
For each double magic 8 ball night, the first one is a new song (one not yet played on Tourdust before, regular magic 8 ball rules apply) and the second is a repeat magic 8 ball song (any of the previous ones).
I. Spontaneous covers such as Shipping up to Boston and Coffee Mug have also appeared once each without cutting other songs in their place. The former was a nod to Boston and the latter a tribute. Really, just be prepared for anything at all times.
Extra fun note: The official setlists have the mystery song written in code, mostly using the NATO phonetic alphabet by abbreviating either the song's title or a key set of lyrics (GINASFS was written as "Golf" on the first setlist, Of All The Gin Joints in All The World, commonly referred to as Gin Joints, had the code name "Gamma Juliet," while Fame < Infamy's code name was "Bravo Whiskey Papa," referring to the lyrics "better with (a) pen" in the song)
Basically, they've been talking about having some of that old pre-fame ~scene rock show~ vibe where everything was spontaneous and they played til the cops showed up. It's a taste of going back to their roots and giving the fans what they want (and having a ton of fun while doing it!)
[I used this spreadsheet as a reference, made by this person on twitter]
So sorry anon for the novella here, I'm sure you wanted something quick but I couldn't help myself oops heh

I saw BABYMETAL live in concert in Milan last night!
It was SO awesome!!! It was definitely worth the 5 hour travel and organisation around it (& a great excuse to meet up with the bestie @transimailisa again <3) despite the cold and wet weather. Though we were a bit late to the queue (we arrived around 30min before doors opened?) we managed to get pretty good spots to stand, maybe around 10-15m away from the stage. When my view was not blocked by Every Tall Italian Man Ever, you could see the performers really clearly. I really had such a great time. I cannot overstate how good of a time I had.
I got into BM casually somewhere around 2020, obviously couldn't see them in concert because of the pandemic. So of course I immediately jumped from my seat when the EU tour was announced. I've been a jp idol fan for a while now and I've seen quite a few idol concerts, and I've also been to metal concerts now, so I wondered how their concert would be like (lmao) and if people would bring stuff like light blades etc. I saw one guy with a blade but apart from that it was just like any regular concert I've been to. The energy in the crowd was great, despite the language barrier so many people knew the songs and sang along, the call and response portions especially in Monochrome (beloved beloved beloved) were just... saur good. Mwah.
I think the most surprising thing to me (up til now pretty casual fan, have only seen a few live performances of some songs of theirs but never a full concert) was how... goofy they were? I always imagined them being this super serious trio with a hard exterior that never cracked, but my god those girls were having the time of their lives on that stage, it was really infectious. Especially Momo & Moa moved around the sides of the stage a lot, interacting with the audience, and they were laughing and headbanging along. Pris caught this (I was too busy going insane) but we think that somewhere in Megitsune Su fumbled a lyric or something, and the other two immediately bullied her for it and they were all laughing :D I guess that is a tradition that continues with other groups I follow lmao
In general it was such a great concert, great sound and a GREAT setlist with really high energy songs at the start (Gimme Chocolate, PA PA YA) and overall a fun mixture of old and new bangers. The only sad thing was that it was only just over an hour long, I would have loved 2 or 3 more songs and a proper Encore. Despite that, we all went home exhausted and happy from dancing and celebrating, and now that I'm back in my own cozy bed and thinking about the experience I can't wait to do it again!!
#they are coming to switzerland next year so ... i will be there.#mono-loguing#babymetal#long post#text#those girls. they sure can dance and sing like bruh the vocals... and they are not easy... and with those costumes???#i have underestimated the goofiness of the babys. i guess those photoshoots did fool me 100%#also this is probably the closest i'll ever get to hiichan so. hello

A night to remember
The energy in the venue was electric. My heart pounded in rhythm with the bass that shook the walls, the crowd's excitement a palpable force that made every hair on my arms stand up. The lights dimmed, and the entire arena erupted into a roar as NCT 127 took the stage, each member shining like a constellation against the sea of green lightsticks. My eyes were glued to Johnny, his confident smile and effortless charisma making it hard to look away.
I had been waiting for this moment for months. The tickets had been a splurge, but worth every penny the moment I stepped inside the venue. The setlist was perfect; every song felt like it was played just for me. As they performed, I sang along, lost in the music and the surreal experience of seeing them live. But it was Johnny—his smooth moves, his voice, and the way he connected with the fans—that drew me in the most. He had a way of making you feel seen, even in a crowd of thousands.
The concert was over all too soon, but my excitement hadn’t waned. I had managed to snag a spot for the after-show fan meet, my hands trembling slightly as I clutched the ticket. This was my chance, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to actually meet Johnny. I rehearsed what I might say, but every time, the words seemed to slip away, leaving me nervous and giddy.
The line moved slowly, giving me just enough time to second-guess everything. What if I said something awkward? What if I froze up entirely? My thoughts were interrupted when I finally reached the front, and there he was—Johnny, sitting at a small table with a warm smile that made the world feel a little bit smaller.
“Hi!” he greeted me with that familiar, deep voice, his smile lighting up his face. “Thanks for coming out tonight.”
I blinked, momentarily forgetting how to speak. “Hi, Johnny,” I managed, my voice wavering slightly. “You guys were amazing. Seriously, the best concert I’ve ever been to.”
He chuckled softly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “Thank you, that means a lot. Did you have a favorite song?”
I hesitated for a split second before blurting out, “Kick It! But, honestly, all of them were great. You all have so much energy on stage, it’s contagious.”
Johnny nodded, leaning in a little closer as if we were sharing a secret. “Kick It’s a fun one for sure. I’m glad you enjoyed it.” He paused, and for a moment, it felt like he was really looking at me, not just another fan, but me. “I could see you dancing in the crowd. You had some moves!”
I laughed, feeling a blush creep up my cheeks. “You noticed that?”
“Of course,” he said, his smile widening. “You stood out. It’s always awesome to see fans having a good time.”
His words hung in the air, and for a moment, it felt like we were the only two people in the room. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to talk to him, like we were old friends catching up rather than idol and fan meeting for the first time. I wanted to hold onto this feeling, to stretch the moment out just a little longer.
Before I knew it, the staff signaled that it was time for me to move on. I didn’t want to say goodbye, but I didn’t want to overstay my welcome either. Johnny noticed, and with a quick glance at the staff, he scribbled something on the back of a photo card before handing it to me.
“Here, take this,” he said, his expression playful yet sincere. “And thank you for being an amazing fan. I hope to see you at another concert soon.”
I took the card, my fingers brushing against his for the briefest moment. As I stepped aside, I glanced down and saw a short message: “Keep dancing, and stay amazing. - Johnny.”
It was such a simple gesture, but it meant the world to me. As I walked out of the venue, my heart felt lighter, my steps a little bouncier. Meeting Johnny had been everything I hoped for and more—genuine, fun, and unforgettable. It was a night I’d replay in my mind a thousand times over, each time feeling just as magical as the first.

As a person who got (back) into jsb3 around 2022 i didnt really understand the significance of Stars ~Land of Promise~ being their comeback tour
But i understand now. the group was on the verge of breaking up during the pandemic and all of the members have established themselves individually. Vocals Imaichi and Ømi has gone solo. Even the performers Elly, Naoto, Gunchan had their own solo too. Naoki and Kanjiro also have their own gigs. At that point, their own names have enough credibility in the industry. It was possible for them to live without hanging on to the JSB3 name.
And that's where Stars ~Land of Promise~ came in. The vibes you get from the setlist of this tour was "reassuring".
The first half was them establishing themselves as JSB3. Because of their hit songs (Ryusei, Orion) their group image is stars. And I really like that they started the concert with Kono Uchuu no Katasumi de, literally In the Corner of this Universe.
In this universe we crossed paths and in this universe we came together today. Thank you for coming to meet us again, this is JSB3, your Stars.
And then followed with VII (Seven) Crowns, which would remind old fans of the king royalty theme from their old tour, Raise The Flag.
I haven't watched all of JSB3 old concerts, but I can get the feeling that the first part of the setlist were references to their major tours. While at the same time reminding everyone that this is how JSB3 is.
This is the seven members everyone knows. This is us when we're hyped up, this is us encouraging, this is us moving forward, this is us in the seasons, this is us in spring, summer, autumn, winter, all with you (君となら)
They also had a lot of MC talk sessions on this tour. They literally had bar counters onstage.
Yes we had our own lives, our own businesses and that's normal. It's fine because we can just come together again in this BAR STARS and catch up with each other.
And it's such a good addition to this tour because you get all the members talking and you can see them interacting with each other. And they also made sure to interact with fans.
(unfortunately is not included in the live album)
And then at the final part of the tour you have them dish out all their hit songs that makes you dance together with them.
Remember these hit songs? Remember the fun we had? It was because of you guys that they became famous and we were known! It was thanks to you guys making them hits that we were given so many opportunities. It was thanks to you guys we could reach the stars.
Thank you, thank you, and this is our flower for you.
Ending with 花歌 (Flower Song) was not only just a love song for the fans, it's also such a good transition for the change to JSB3's image.
Where in this new chapter, we are roses.
#banantxt#this isnt meant to be a proper analysis or anything this is just me rambling my thoughts out as usual#i have a two hours drive from work town to my hometown so there's little that i can do#other than listen to live albums and overanalyse them and be emo for them#so yeah this is the kind of things that goes through my head while driving lol#baney did you cry about jsb3 while driving#yES I DID AND I ALSO GET HAPPY WITH THEM THEY MADE SURE I GOT HOME SAFELY OKAY#/lies on the floor#i love jsb3 so much fam..........#jsb3#Spotify

HONEY REVENGE: THE EUROBEEAN TOUR
22.05.2024 @ The Deaf Institute, Manchester (250 Capacity)
Over 3 weeks late but better late than never! Honey Revenge has been my favourite band for a little while now, so seeing them live at The Deaf Institute, with another of my favourite bands, Artio, was such a special night. This concert fell right in my 2-week long break in the middle of my final exams, so it was a no-brainer. The tickets were bought as soon as they went up for sale, in my college’s library, whilst I should’ve been studying.
The band was in town for Slam Dunk on the weekend, so were playing some warm-up shows in the week across the UK. In this small tour, they weren't coming to my home city, so Manchester it was, we’ve been to quite a few shows in Manchester now, specifically this venue too. Classic Manchester, it was a very rainy day but it didn't matter to me, they're my favourite band and I was determined to see them live - Honey Revenge are the only band I'd do a 5-hour commute for (BOTH WAYS!).
The set itself was incredible as always. It always amazes me how singers can keep up such energetic vocals for entire sets, and rock singers, especially Devin, just adds to that. Accompanied by their touring band, Tay on bass & Matt on drums, it’s clear that they have fun on stage. There was even a circle pit during 'Distracted’, which I wasn't expecting AT ALL, considering their songs are pretty tame compared to other rock bands on the scene right now. But that’s what makes them stand out, it’s the kind of music that you can dance to, headbang to, and cry to, and I love them for it. Their several synchronized high-kicks over the course of their set only emphasized this. We were in a similar spot to last time, on Donny’s side of the stage so we were able to watch their insane guitar solos from RIGHT THERE in real time and it was absolutely amazing. The setlist was a little different to the last show as they didn’t play every song in their discography, with only 2 cut out though, so most songs were played.
At the time of the show, they hadn’t released anything new since the last time we’d seen them live in December, however they did play their (then unreleased) new track ‘Recipe For Disaster’ in full [see above video]. They’ve since released this song alongside the announcement of ‘Retrovision: The Extended Edition’ to be released in early August. Even though the song was only released on the 24th of May, it was still my top song of the month (🫣) - It was ON REPEAT for the whole weekend.
In between sets, we bought merch from both bands and had a chance to chat to both merch sellers for both bands as they were both friends of the band and not just a random crew member. After the show, we were also able to hi to one of the band’s team crew, and Devin’s boyfriend, Kyle who is also a musician, he was really cool and gave us some solid advice for venturing into the music industry. It was fun to meet Claire again, a photographer friend who has worked with Honey Revenge before as well as South Arcade back in March.
Once the show was over, Devin & Donny came back out to say hi to everyone whilst their crew packed down. We first chatted to Jai & Ieuan of Artio who had also come back out, but eventually we were able to talk to Honey Revenge themselves. I wasn’t able to go back in and meet them last time, due to the gig being in the upstairs of a bar and I was under 18, but to my surprise, they remembered this and were greatly appreciative of us waiting so long to meet them this time! As we were some of the last people in there, we were starting to get ushered out, but they still made sure to have a full conversation with us as we wanted to talk to them more about the scene and the industry as well as tell them what big fans we are. It was so incredible to finally meet and have a conversation with them having been a fan for so long and they also made sure to take a photo with us and sign the poster I'd bought earlier. Devin also encouraged me to talk to their sound guy as I’d mentioned that this is what I want to do after education!
This night was EVERYTHING and more. This band is without a doubt, one of the biggest, and best, newcomers to the scene in recent years. With plans to go on Idobi Radio’s Summer School Tour this July, and no doubt more plans afterwards, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Honey Revenge.

eras movie thoughts from someone who saw it on oct 13
ok as soon as the midnights clock went to 00:00 (started at 00:13 🥹) the entire theater cheered quick notes: - people were very much singing, although most of the time you could barely hear it because the speakers were SO LOUD - plenty of people were standing up and dancing. i was in the front row/box so it wasn't a problem for me, and also most of the people doing this were kids under 5 ft. but situations may vary depending on where you live - i did get the eras popcorn bucket and drink thing, and i washed both for keeping - people were trading friendship bracelets too
lover set: miss americana was so surreal. like as soon as she appeared i just felt some type of way. a lot of this probably comes from never having seen her live, but i felt so emotional because this person who shaped a lot of my life and childhood was right there in front of me (i was also first row which probably helped) and she just seemed so larger-than-life in a way. like i could barely sing until lover (the song) because i was just in such shock. i don't think i'll ever forget the moment the sunset fan things parted to reveal her standing there to sing "it's been a long time coming" 🩷 the archer was missing, but you honestly didn't notice because it was edited so well. it didn't feel like there was something missing like i thought it would (this is true for all of the cut songs except for one)
fearless set: this one was very helpful to me personally because it calmed me down from the "mega-super-popstar Taylor Swift" hype. seeing her perform songs that i'd loved for years and played in my childhood bedroom was VERY good for getting rid of any nerves i may have had. like oh there's bestie, you know? my brother wanted me to mention the stage becoming a guitar because that was pretty cool. also i did not personally witness any proposals during love story, but two little girls acted one out and it was really cute. ybwm was not as popular (singing-wise) among the little kids, but every teenage girl in there was having a spiritual experience with me. oh and ofc we did the heart hands thing for fearless 🫶🏼 and the claps for ybwm
evermore set: once again, ttds/nbnc (opening song) was cut, but you really couldn't feel the hole in the setlist. the willow opening was SO well-shot. also idk if it was the camera angle or she just has really long arms but when she spun the cloak around i swear it was making waves. my theater did not do the phone flashlight thing for marjorie but it was very visible in the movie. her champagne problems speech had me like 🥹 and tolerate it was as emotionally powerful as you'd expect. i did get a good chuckle out of her just throwing all the dishes everywhere, and also the lighting crew really came through with that one reputation set: ready for it did have some pretty intense flashing (there was a warning at the beginning). i personally don't have issues with these sorts of things but it's important to note for anyone who does. i thought it was really fun and loved the rep set. personally, i think this is the set she looked the hottest in. i kinda get why she isn't changing the outfit because it really does suit her so much. of course, the entire theater shouted 1 2 3 LET'S GO BITCH for delicate. look what you made me do is an amazing song that was done justice in this movie, probably one of the best moments choreography-wise in the whole show speak now set: enchanted was also so well-shot and probably one of my favorite performances in the entire show. the one cut song that i did feel was missing was long live. i missed it a lot, but they went so hard with enchanted that it almost made up for it imo.
red set: 22 was my dad's favorite in the movie, and when she gave the hat to bianka bryant, you could hear all the whispers of people explaining to their parents/partners/kids the significance of that moment. the transitions were SO good for the entire movie, but especially this set. the red jumpsuit has always been one of my favorite outfits but i'm glad it's finally getting its time to shine now that you all appreciate her ❤️ the "LIKE EVER" was also something that had the theater cheering, and ofc all too well tmv was the emotional crux of the night. everyone singing that song in the theater was singing about a personal experience and it was one of those moments that had me understanding what taylor meant with the lover speech where she said that she wanted tonight to be about new memories. i'm never going to forget seeing all these little girls singing ikywt and then all their moms singing atw right after. i could honestly write an entire essay on how the movie was such a celebration of girlhood and probably will at some point
folklore set: this entire movie had already had me so emotional, but the folklore set was the tipping point for this film rewriting my swiftie brain forever. beginning with the 1 was very personally significant to me because for me, atw and the 1 are about the same person. it was very healing to get to sing those things back to back, and i know it was for a lot of the people in that theater as well. her betty speech got a lot of laughs out of people, and the song itself had the starlights (backup vocalists) at the foot of the cabin, which was so 🥹 do not underestimate how important the starlights were to this movie and the performance. my favorite moments had them in it. tlgad is my #2 song EVER and it comes so close to being #1 so the performance did not disappoint. both the note change in the 1 and "loudest woman this town has ever SEEN!" got huge cheers from both the people in the movie and the theater. the august/illicit affairs performance was beautiful, but i think this set really came to life with my tears ricochet. her in white against all the dancers in black for the funeral metaphor said a lot. although all too well is the ballad of her discography, my tears ricochet is also extremely emotionally resonant and important for the show. it's one of those songs that has me so excited for this movie to get on streaming so i can watch all the time. and like the archer and nbnc/ttds, cardigan's removal was not that defining.
1989 set: the little kids were going FERAL and i don't blame them. style was beautiful ofc, but blank space, shake it off, and bad blood were the loudest songs of the night because the kids were just SCREAMING. although not a lot of people shouted "sydney!" they did shout "you forgive you forget but you never let it go" for bad blood. and the choreo was choreo-ing for this set. once again, wildest dreams was missed but not that missed.
surprise songs: ok yeah i did get emotional over "this is for the people who liked me when i was writing songs for my 9th grade talent show," what about it? our song got its moment and i am happy. and ohmygod can i ever say enough about the importance of you're on your own kid being in this movie. the way that it's just such a culmination of her entire life and career and "take the moment and taste it" is just exactly what this movie is celebrating 😭 make the friendship bracelets had people going 🥹🩷🥰 because you can just tell that she loves us so much. and of course the stage dive was a moment
midnights: this was the one set that i hadn't watched 23048930284 times over livestream so it was a special treat. lavender haze & anti-hero slayed, and midnight rain was ridiculously well-shot. i was admittedly worried about the vigilante shit dance because my parents were there, but it wasn't shot in a ultra-sexy way and also. the dance is pretty tame all things considered. when you've been dancing and singing for almost 3 hours, no one really cares. the bejeweled dance was very 🥹 and i thought a lot about how important fans were to this entire show. there were a lot of moments when she was pointing to the audience and re-assigning a song to us in real time, and mastermind was one of them for sure. if i didn't already think that karma was the perfect song to end with, this solidified it for me. it made me so very happy and i got some amazing pictures of it.
all in all, this movie restructured just about everything for me, including my album rankings, top 10 song list, and how i view her career and music in general. i'd watched this exact show over and over again on livestream but this was the first time i'd really realized how much she meant to me and how important she is culturally atm. she's everything 💚💛💜❤️🩵🖤🩷🩶🤎💙

i am interested in your shinee concert experience pls show/tell me everything
sorry for responding late i had a Lot To Say and this took me a while! but yes !! i’ll do a read more because this will be long lol
so firstly i saw shinee in dallas for the fanmeet and for SWV! the fanmeet was july 31, 2016 (i have the official poster hanging up in my room lol) and the concert was march 24, 2017 (i get reminders that i took a lot of photos that day still).
so unfortunately i think my photos and vids from the fanmeet specifically might be lost to time? because i had a different phone and it wasnt an iphone however if i remember correctly it wasn’t very long only about an hour and a half and they only played about 5-6 songs since it was a fanmeet. they had a segment where they called fans onstage to guess what song was playing and they got to stand onstage with the members!! we also had banners we held up during the last song for taemin’s birthday ❤️ at the end end, the girl i sat next to had a poster saying she was minho’s biggest fan or something along those lines and i think shawols know he always stays onstage the longest after they finish to say goodbye to everyone lol so everyone around her was frantically waving their lightsticks to get him to see and he saw it and pointed at her and smiled it was sooooo cute!!
i dont have much merch from the fanmeet but i have the poster (its just their main photo from view with black text stating the fanmeet info on it)
i’ve had the same phone since december of 2016 so i def have the photos and vids from swv!!!! i went with some of my close friends at the time and my brother and i was SAWBING the whole time it was so embarrassing … anyway to warn anyone i was in an obstructed seat which at concerts means my view was a bit more limited (in my case i was at the very far left if the stage like last seats of the row situation). also this concert is very memorable to me because not only was it a full length concert (shineeworlds are notoriously like 3 entire hours) but i also surprised my brother with the tickets on his birthday the week before ❤️ he had literally no idea until then that we were going and we cried for like an hour when i told him LMAO
i have a BUNCH of shinee world 5 merch like i bought almost everything LOL and i’m soooooo glad i did in hindsight because i genuinely thought theyd tour more and obviously a lot has happened since march of 2017 so i’m really thankful to have had the opportunity and experience of seeing them ! if i ever want to move on from shinee merch i am 1000% raffling it off to tumblr friends !
in terms of the photos i’ll post i want to apologize because they are really bad quality 1. i had those obscured seats 2. i took most of my photos while recording too! 3. i can only post a few here but i took hundreds and a dozen videos!
big takeaways from seeing them live were: onew sounds even better live than recorded! jonghyun is goofy and charismatic! key is so funny and spoke english the whole time and also his head was really big (i’m sorry diva but it’s true 😇 ily)! minho absolutely adores shawol and always has! taemin flows and dances like well oiled machine its beautiful! they are absolutely fucking amazing live, they put every ounce into every single song they perform and genuinely want to make the fans enjoy the experience its so fucking fun!!!
my last thing! here is the setlists from the fanmeet and from swv for archival purposes and in case anyone was curious!
