Could you write something for Jamie about his gf surprising him at an away match? 🫶🏻
THank you for requesting!! Super cute!!
This had to go perfect. All the time planning with Keeley to get seperate flights, separate car, all this secrecy and planning to avoid Jamie finding out any detail of the surprise.
It was Richmond's first game against Man City for the season. Last time Jamie had played against Man City it had been one of the greatest games of his career. Not only creating a beautiful assist for Colin but also scoring a solo goal himself, on a bum ankle no less.
For the first time, his mum would be coming with his stepfather, now that his father was in rehab. You were the only one who couldn't come. Or so he thought. So you had told him repeatedly.
"It would just be nice 'n all," he murmured, resting his head on your chest.
"I know, I know," you agreed, running your hands through his hair. It had gotten so long, he could almost pull it back into a ponytail. "I'm really sorry, I tried to get off."
"I know you did," he sighed. He was wrapped around you like a koala, face shoved into your chest. "Just would be nice."
And it was going to be nice. There was no way you would be missing this game.
You found Keeley at Will Call, decked out in Richmond gear, ribbons woven into your hair, Jamie's name and number on your back.
"Ah! Look at you!" Keeley shrieked as she saw you. "He is going to flip!"
"Thank you so much for all your help, Keels," You grinned and pulled her into a hug. "You're the best friend either of us could ask for."
"Alright, let's get you up to the booth."
Seeing the game from the booth was incredible. The view was perfect and there was booze within 10 ft. But the best part of the whole day was seeing Jamie play.
You'd seen him play before but everytime it took your breath away. He was always ten steps ahead of everyone else. Ten passes towards the goal that no one else was aware of. And god he looked good while doing it.
It was a stellar game, a great match ending in a 3-2 tie with Jamie scoring a beautiful goal during injury time. You'd burst out of your seat and cheered, joining the Richmond fans in the crowd in chanting his name! Jamie Tartt doo doo do do du doo!
You were there waiting for him in the hallway. There standing, hands clasped together in excitement as the lads came off the field, high on their victory. But when he saw you, the whole world stopped.
He rounded the corner, chatting with his arm around Sam when he spotted you. He froze, forcing Sam to stop as he followed Jamie gaze. You waved at him, shyly. Then he broke into the brightest grin and he bounded to wards you.
You opened your arms and let him scoop you up, spinning in circles.
"Jamie!" You cried, giggling in his arms. "You absolute genius."
He set you down just in time to pull you into a deep kiss. He was disgusting. Sweaty and gross after playing for 90 minutes on the field but, god, did he taste good.
"Thank you for coming," He breathed out. "Can't believe you're here."
"Did you really think I would miss this?" You assured him, pressing your forehead to his. "Never."
Jamie kissed you again, peppering your face with his lips. You laughed again, trying to duck away from him but you couldn't get far.
"And you look- fucking- mint- babe," he continued, pausing between each word to press another kiss to your face.
"Oi, Tartt!" Isaac called from the locker room. "Come get changed so we can fucking celebrate!"
Jamie looked over his shoulder. "I'll be right there."
He turned back to you, brushing your hair out of your face, like he still couldn't believe you were there.
"You'll come right? You're not gonna leave?" He checked, trying not to show his insecurity."
"I'm not going anywhere," you reassured him, pulling him back for one last kiss. "Now go get change, you fucking stink."
You pushed him away from you, laughing as he stumbled dramatically.
"Yes, ma'am!" He saluted you before scurrying back to the locker room, being met with cheers from the team.
Oh, god, you were glad he was yours.

I have a request!!! I need more Dani fics and if no one else is asking for them then I will be the one to ask everyone 💕 could you maybe write a Dani fic using the Tulip prompt from the flower list? (I think its cute for him, and! tulip!! for!! dani!!)
tulip for sunshine in human form, coming right up!
tulip: an act of affection so blatant everyone notices, dani rojas x reader, 1.1k
You didn’t often find yourself at Nelson Road. You went to Richmond matches and knew Dani's friends, of course, but for the most part you kept your respective work lives pretty separate. Your relationship wasn’t a secret by any means, but the two of you enjoyed having a rather private life together.
Dani had left for early morning training before you’d even woken up, but when you did you saw that he’d left his phone behind on the kitchen counter. Oddly enough, it was sitting right next to a muffin you recognized as being from your favorite bakery down the road and a note in his looping scrawl saying that he hoped you’d enjoy the pastry.
That was typical Dani, never forgetting to make you feel loved but in doing so forgetting something important to him.
After polishing off the delicious treat, you decided that you were going to return the surprise by bringing his phone down to the training facility. He’d surely be able to survive a day without it, but the muffin had you feeling sentimental.
Now you were here, making your way down the corridor towards the locker room to find Dani.
“Oh my god. Oh my god, you’re here!” Keeley’s unmistakable voice rang out from a little ways away and you turned to see her hurrying full speed at you in dangerously high heeled boots, grinning profusely the whole way. For such a small woman, she nearly bowled you over with the force of her hug.
“Hi Keeley!” You chuckled, returning her embrace with as much enthusiasm as you could muster. Out of everyone at Richmond, Keeley was the one you were closest with. Besides Dani, of course.
“Hold on. What are you doing here? Is the world as we know it ending—god, is someone dead?” She gasped, eyes widening.
You rolled your eyes playfully, “That’s rather dramatic, don’t you think? Everything’s fine, Dani just forgot his phone at home.”
“Oh, he is gonna be so excited to see you, babe!” She squealed, giving you another quick squeeze. “Right, well I have a brand meeting to get to, but text me later, yeah? We need to get dinner soon!”
You barely had time to say yes before she was running off. Ever the energizer bunny, Keeley was.
Loud laughter poured out of the locker room at the other end, letting you know the lads were in there even before you rounded the corner.
Jamie was sitting right opposite the open door so he saw you first, winking at you in his usual playful manner before speaking loudly. “Well, well, well—look what the cat dragged in!”
Dani lit up the second he heard your name echo through the rest of the team, abandoning doing up the laces on his boots in favor of beelining straight for you. “Mi amor! What are you doing here?”
“Figured you might need this.” You procured his phone from your bag, holding it up with a small smile at his excitement.
He beamed pure sunshine at you, lifting you off your feet and spinning you around in a bone crushing hug. It seemed a little too eager for such a small action, even for Dani, but you were pleasantly surprised. Paired with the content sigh he let out, he’d even garnered the attention of the coaches too.
Nate waved at you on his way out of the office, Beard just nodded, and Roy grunted his greeting, but Ted grinned, looking ecstatic.
“Y/N! To what do we owe this fine pleasure?” He drawled, propping his hands on his hips. He gasped before you could answer. “Wait no, don’t tell me! You won the lottery? You went to see a fortune teller and they told you to come here for some cosmic unknown reason? Oh! You found out your visa was about to expire and came to ask one of us to be in a fake marriage with you so you wouldn’t be sent away?”
“I think that last one’s the plot to The Proposal, actually.” Nate chimed in, looking equal parts amused and concerned.
“Brilliant movie though.” Roy said gruffly, drawing murmurs of approval from the room.
“I came to bring Dani his phone,” You chuckled, finally able to pass off the phone to him now that he’d set you down on your feet.
“Isn’t she the nicest, most perfect girlfriend in the whole world?” Dani exclaimed, squeezing you around the waist again. He was still beaming ear to ear, an infectious sort of excitement that had always been one of things you loved most about him. You took the chance to press a quick kiss to his cheek.
“She is quite the catch, Dani.” Ted agreed, smiling good-naturedly.
You ducked your head bashfully, leaning into Dani’s side to hide your warm cheeks. “I should go. Let you boys get back to training.”
“Coach, can I walk her to her car?” Dani asked hopefully, bouncing on the balls of his feet.
“Would be a real shame if you didn’t, son. We’ll be on the pitch when you’re all finished up.” He replied. He turned to you right after, giving you a nod. “And you, don’t be a stranger around these parts! It’s nice to see a new face every once in a while.”
After assuring Ted you'd be back sometime soon, Dani threaded his fingers through yours, giving you a grand tour of the facility (and happily introducing you to every person you passed, no less) on your way back out to the car park.
“Thank you for coming!” He was still smiling brightly at you, so big that his eyes crinkled at the corners.
“You don’t have to thank me all the time, love. It was nothing, I wanted to visit you.” You insisted, sliding a hand around the back of Dani’s neck. You weren’t expecting his expression to fall, and when it did you were quick to cup his cheek. “What’s wrong?”
“I want to thank you. I appreciate you coming all the way down here for me, and I want to show it.”
You hadn’t thought of it that way before. It was Dani’s way of saying I love you, even though he said that plenty too. His love language wasn’t limited to just one, you realized too. Any way he could show you how he felt about you, how much he appreciated you, he did.
That was just who Dani Rojas was—happy and sweet and caring and a million other things you had yet to learn about him. You were excited to find out.
You kissed him soft and sweet, threading your fingers through his hair to bring him closer to you still. Thank you. I love you too.

“Should we go in, then?”
“Probably.”
Despite this, the both of you continued to sit in Jamie’s idling car. A slow trickle of rain fell on the windshield. From what you could tell, Keeley and Roy had not arrived yet.
“Unless you want to wait for them?” You asked him. All he did was shrug. It was clear that he was anxious too. He kept pulling at the end of his jacket, you noticed, and tapping his fingers against the steering wheel. Raising your hand slowly, hesitantly, you reached over and placed it on his forearm lightly. He jumped at the contact before whirling his head to face you.
“It’s gonna be okay,” You said softly. He looked between you and your hand, taking a deep breath before nodding. Just as he was about to speak, you looked over his shoulder to find Roy and Keeley on the other side of the street, approaching the door to the restaurant. You nodded in their direction. “They’re here. You ready?” He nodded before turning the car off and climbing out. You did the same, walking to the other side of the car where he stood. He held his hand out for you, raising his eyebrows in question. Your heart rate picked up from the anxiety the gesture brought, but even still, you reached out and pressed your palm into his. He adjusted his hand to entwine your fingers into his own before leading you across the road.
Your breath caught in your throat.
It was so simple. Yet, you had forgotten what it was like to have your hand held so delicately. His hand was warm against yours, but in a comforting way. His fingers were wrapped tightly around your hand, but not too tight to where you felt like you were in trouble, yet not so loose that you felt like he was doing it out of obligation. Both of those feelings, you were all too familiar with. There was something about the way his fingertips felt against the top of your hand that was so… consoling.
It made you want to cry on the spot. But, this time, not from sadness, or fear.
You wanted to cry out of euphoria.
Keeley caught sight of the two of you first, her face instantly breaking out into a wide smile.
“I can’t fuckin’ stand how cute the two of you are,” She said, shaking her head as she opened her arms for a hug. You walked into them, Jamie hugging Roy at the same time. When Keeley pulled away so she could hug Jamie, you turned to Roy.
“How’s my favourite grumpy old troll?” You asked him as he kissed your cheek and hugged you.
“I feel like I see enough of you pricks without having to spend a whole dinner with you,” He grumbled, although you could just make out the playful tone in his voice. You rolled your eyes at him. Jamie opened the door to the restaurant and allowed Roy, Keeley and then yourself to enter before following behind. His hand brushed against yours as the group approached the hostess, and, instinctively, you slipped your hand in his, entwining your fingers for him this time.
The fact that the feeling of your hand being held left you with butterflies in your stomach made you feel so stupid. It shouldn’t be this groundbreaking to your stupid brain that you were holding someone’s hand without being afraid. But you continued with it anyway.
The hostess led the four of you to your table right away, allowing you to sit at the window table. Jamie pulled your chair out for you, a deep heat filling your cheeks as you sat down under the suspicious stare of Roy Kent, who had already sat down. When Jamie’s hand left yours, your skin was left with a cold void. The waitress was already swooping over with glasses of water before your chair was even scooted in.
“Jamie, when did you become such a gentleman?” Keeley asked, her hand over her chest. He looked between the three of you as he took his own seat. Clearly, he hadn’t done something he felt was worth commenting on.
“Oh erm…”
“Isn’t he such a gentleman though?” You interjected, saving him from answering. “He even brought me flowers when he picked me up. Beautiful bouquet of roses.” You put a hand on his upper arm and gave it a squeeze. “Part of the reason I like him so much, I think.” Roy, who had been taking a drink of his water, snorted, blowing bubbles into his glass and subsequently getting water all over himself. Everyone else at the table wordlessly decided to collectively ignore this.
“So,” Keeley said, resting her chin over the tops of her hands. “Tell me everything.”
You and Jamie exchanged a look. It was too much to expect the subject to not be brought up so early in the dinner. Though, you were hoping to at least have some bread before it was mentioned.
“Well, obviously, we met at work,” Jamie said, throwing his napkin on his lap. You had to resist the urge to run your hands down your face.
Sweet fucking Jesus.
“Well, I’ve been enlightened,” Roy said, having just finished cleaning the water off his black button up shirt.
“It wasn’t because of work that we started talking though,” You explained, smiling sweetly at Keeley, who was still eagerly listening to the two of you.
“Oh yeah, we ran into each other outside of work one day,” Jamie added. You looked at him before looking back at them. Now he was giving you something to work with.
“Oh? Where did you run into each other?” Keeley asked. You glanced at Jamie again right as he was shifting uncomfortably in his seat.
“The Zoo.” It slipped out so fast that you weren’t sure who had said it until everyone turned to stare at you. You nodded, standing by your answer. “The London Zoo. We ran into each other there.” Roy turned to Jamie.
“Why the fuck were you at the Zoo?” He asked. Jamie looked positively offended by the question.
“I love animals.”
“Enough to go to the Zoo by yourself?”
“Who said I was by meself?”
“Who were you with then?”
Jamie stammered for a moment too long before finally saying, “...Meself.”
“I personally love going to the zoo by myself,” You chimed in casually just as the waitress came by with a basket of bread and to take drink orders.
“We all are aware of your passion about zoos and animals,” Roy said as he ignored the new presence looming over the table. “I’m talkin’ about ‘im.”
“I’d love some wine,” Keeley said happily to the waitress, entirely unfazed by whatever it was that was happening at this table.
“Just keep the whiskeys comin’, love,” Jamie added, giving the waitress a tense smile.
“Same for me,” Roy said, glaring at Jamie.
“I’ll just stick with water,” You whispered before taking a long sip. This was clearly going to be the longest night of your life, and while you would rather be drunk for it, someone needed to be sober. And you weren’t sure that someone was going to be Jamie, who had also been your ride.
“What were you doing at the zoo, Jamie?” Keeley asked. He raised his shoulders in a shrug.
“Just felt like walkin’ amongst the animals.” He took a long drink from his water glass, and you did the same.
“And you two just ran into each other?” She followed up. You looked over at him, imagining this fake meeting in your mind.
“Yeah,” You said quietly. “We got to talking, and then the next thing we knew, hours had passed and we had just been walking around in circles!” Keeley smiled as if she was watching a romantic comedy in real time. You felt like you were an actor in one. Playing out the scenes but none of them actually being your own.
“What’s your favourite animal at the zoo then, Tartt?” Roy asked as he took another drink from his water glass.
“Pandas. Easy,” Jamie said confidently, folding his arms in front of him. It took everything in you to not slide out from your chair and under the table. You reached over and put a hand over his.
“...Would be your favourite if they had pandas, like we talked about when we ran into each other!” You said through your teeth. Jamie smiled.
“Right. Fuckin’ love pandas. They should be at every zoo.”
“You had mentioned the African wild dogs were really good, if I’m remembering correctly,” You said as you scratched your forehead. Jamie snapped his fingers before pointing at you.
“That’s what I meant. African wild dogs.”
“Yeah, because African wild dogs are so similar to fuckin’ pandas,” Roy retorted. You grabbed a piece of bread and stressfully took a very large bite.
“It’s the fur pa’ern,” Jamie tried to defend himself, gesturing around his eyes. “They got the dark fur around their eyes, yeah? Similar to pandas.”
“Isn’t the bread here just amazin’!?” Keeley asked as she took a piece for herself. It was unclear if she was trying to alleviate the tension or if she just really thought the bread was good, but you were thankful for her input regardless. Both Roy and Jamie took that opportunity to take a piece of bread for themselves. The waitress came back with the drinks, setting them down and pulling out her pad for orders.
“We need a minute,” Roy told her before she could even get a word out. She nodded before wandering off again. You took the menu and opened it for the first time. Jamie, instead of reading his own, was looking over your shoulder.
“I recommend the fettuccine,” He said quietly, pointing to where it was on the menu. “Although their shrimp is pretty good too.” You glanced over the menu to see if Keeley and Roy were paying attention before turning your head slightly towards Jamie.
“I’m allergic to shellfish,” You whispered, desperate for the other two not to hear.
“You’re allergic to shellfish?” He whispered back in a shock filled voice. You nodded.
“My throat will close right up.” You closed your fist quickly to demonstrate, causing Jamie’s eyes to widen. Roy dropped his menu loudly onto the table, making the both of you jump.
“You didn’t know she’s allergic to shellfish?” He demanded, sounding displeased, almost disgusted. You set the menu down lightly.
“It just hasn’t come up, Roy,” You said, trying and failing to not sound tired. “We’ve only just started dating. We’re still getting to know each other.” Keeley turned to Roy, putting her hand on his thigh.
“Babe,” She said gently. “You need to calm down.” His eyes rolled upward, staring at the ceiling as she chastised him. “They’re our friends, yeah? There’s no need to quiz them, or interrogate them! They’re happy, and we’re happy.” His eyes fell on Jamie once again.
“Yeah,” He grumbled. “Happy.”
Keeley turned around to face forward again, giving you another bright smile. You were so thankful for her at this moment. Though you knew that Roy meant well, you weren’t sure he always realised how incredibly intimidating he is. Or maybe he did, and he just didn’t care. The waitress returned to take orders, and you did take Jamie’s suggestion to get the chicken fettuccine alfredo (no shrimp for you though). When she walked off again, you saw that Roy and Jamie both started and finished their whiskeys in the same gulp at the same time.
“What sort of things do you do together?” Keeley asked, sipping on her wine.
“Ride bikes!” Jamie was quick to answer on his own. This time, Roy turned to you.
“You fuckin’ hate cycling.”
You shrugged, trying to remain casual. “I’m getting into it.” You tilted your head, trying to look thoughtful. “Jamie’s helped me… see the fun in it. Like he did with you!” He looked so homicidal that you had to look away while drinking your water to avoid laughing.
“Sometimes we just run errands together, just so we don’t have to do them alone,” You added. “But also, obviously, to spend more time together.” Keeley looked lovestruck.
“Awww, you always talk about how much you hate doing errands alone!”
Which you did. It always felt so… sad to go to the grocery store or to the bank alone. Something about the fact that this was a lie made your chest hurt.
The waitress swept in again, this time to deliver the plates of food. The serving size was smaller than you had thought it would be, especially due to the amount it was going to cost. You weren’t used to fancy restaurants, mostly going to the local takeout spots near your house that gave you enough food to last a few days. Picking up your fork, you dug into your plate, as everyone else already had.
You looked over at Jamie, who you just now noticed had gotten the fettuccine as well. When he noticed your gaze on him, he raised his eyebrows in question.
“No shrimp?” You asked curiously. He shook his head, looking at you with knitted eyebrows.
“Didn’t want to risk it.”
“Risk what?” You asked. He pointed to you.
“You.” He looked confused. “Being near it makes your throat go-” He closed his fist tightly, just as you had done before. “-yeah?” You shook your head, biting back a smile.
“It’s only if I ingest it, or if it touches my food,” You explained.
He let out a quiet, “Oh,” looking down at his plate before his eyes were on you once more.
“Oh well.”
It was touching how he considered you when ordering his own food. There were specific memories in your head of parties (yes, multiple) thrown by your ex significant other where you couldn’t eat any of the food provided due to shellfish being involved. The sadness you had felt during those times was so vivid in your mind.
“Do you even know where the zoo is?” Roy asked, reeling the conversation back. You wanted to throw your fork at him.
“Camden,” Jamie answered without a second thought. You were surprised at the speed, but tried not to let that show in your expression. Roy didn’t say anything in response, just growling, as he always does, before turning back to his plate.
Soon enough, your plate was empty. The food wasn’t anything to phone home about, and certainly not worth the price tag, but it was decent enough. Jamie hummed, making you look at him in time to see him gesturing towards his mouth.
“You got somethin’…” He said. You went to grab your napkin, but he was already reaching over with his own. “May I?” You caught his eye before nodding. It was delicate, the way he wiped the alfredo sauce from your mouth. It was also incredibly intimate, and you could feel the embarrassment filling your chest. He didn’t appear to notice as he pulled away. “There ya go, love.”
The nickname caught you off guard. Of course, you had heard him refer to the waitress earlier in the same way, but you weren’t expecting the same treatment. Though, maybe that was on you for not. You tried to continue as normal, and not allow yourself to feel whatever it was that was boiling up in your chest. Was it anxiety? Was it delight? It was hard to say.
The waitress came back with the check, which Jamie snatched as Roy began to reach for it.
“I got it,” Roy said with his hand held out. Jamie shook his head, raising his hand so his palm was facing Roy.
“Please.”
“Give me the fuckin’ check, Tartt.”
Jamie didn’t say another word, instead just taking his credit card out of his wallet. When the waitress came by again, he all but threw them at her without breaking eye contact with Roy.
The way Jamie and Roy naturally butt heads on their own without your intervention had always been funny, but it being worse now that you were involved made it all the more hilarious.
Before long, the four of you were standing to leave. Just as you turn to walk away from the table, you find Jamie standing there waiting with his hand extended out towards you. It was hard to pretend you weren’t excited to have your hand back in his. When your fingers curled through his again, it felt like cuddling up under a blanket after a long day at work. Like your hand was just meant to be held by his. In a fake romantic sort of way, of course.
The rain was still softly falling. Your eyes drifted upwards towards the sky once you crossed the threshold into the cool night air. As you and Jamie walked, your intertwined hands naturally swung back and forth. Roy and Keeley turned before getting too far.
“Thank you for the lovely evening,” Keeley said, giving you a hug. Despite yourself, your hug back was only one armed, as you still had a grip on Jamie’s hand. He didn’t make any moves to break it either, as he said his goodbyes. When you turned to Roy, you gave him a small smile.
“Are you gonna start being nice now?” You asked him. He rolled his eyes.
“I’ll be the nicest fuckin’ angel on the planet.”
You gave him your most radiant smile.
“Thank you.”
When you hugged him, he didn’t say another word, but he gave you a tight squeeze. And that was enough. You knew exactly what he meant.
One more set of waves were exchanged as Jamie and you turned to head towards his car. He opened the door to the passengers side for you, and when you flopped in, your hand fell from his, leaving the void once again. He ended up only having one drink, the other one abandoned on the table once the food arrived. You were grateful, as you didn’t want to drive his car.
Jamie climbed into the driver’s side and shut the door. Staring at the steering wheel, a moment passed before he spoke. “I think that went alright.”
You wrinkled your nose in thought.
“I think it went as well as one could expect it to.”
As he pulled the car from the curb, you curled into your seat, the anxiety melting away now that it was just you and him.
“Glad I didn’t get the shrimp,” He mumbled. “Coulda killed ya.”
“It would’ve gotten us out of the dinner though,” You pointed out. “Wouldn’t have had to listen to you say there’s pandas at the London zoo.” He let out a loud laugh.
“I didn’t know!” He was laughing as he said this.
“That’s obvious,” You said, shaking your head. He shot you a pouty look, and you shook your head even more.
“We hadn’t even ordered at that point,” He pointed out. “So I woulda said it either way. Just couldn’t escape it.” You stared out the windshield, fighting the urge to laugh anymore.
“A shame.”
You watched the buildings go by as the car drove down the surprisingly sparse road. It was slightly dark, the only light being from the headlights and the post lamps.
“D’you know what though, I think we convinced Roy,” Jamie said happily. You rolled your head across the headrest to look at him.
“Maybe,” You said. “But he’ll probably still be mean to you.” He shrugged.
“I’m not worried.” He made a nonchalant face. “He’s already mean to me.” You fought a smile.
“That’s true,” You said. “Although, you deserve it sometimes.”
“Oi, when the fuck do I deserve it?” He demanded, staring at you as if you had betrayed him.
“When you’re being a fucking prick?” You shouted back at him in a questioning tone. He fell back in his seat.
“Yeah, alright.” A beat passed. “But most of the time, I don’t deserve it, right?”
You stared down at your hand, curling and straightening your fingers over and over to try and fight the tingling feeling creeping through them. It didn’t work, but you already knew why. If you imagined hard enough, you could pretend like a warm hand was still fit inside it. Maybe that was all you could do to fill the void. Just pretend.
“No, Jamie,” You said. “Most of the time, you don’t.”

was watching scenes from international break yesterday and wanted to share my favorite things i noticed
1. jamie and roy stare at each other in silence for 9 whole seconds after jamie explains the uncles day gift and before roy says “i love it”
2. when the team is watching the england game roy isn’t really paying attention cause he’s writing his letter to keeley and jamie isn’t even playing. but the second he hears the word “substitution” his head shoots up and he gives his full attention to the tv because he knows jamie will be going out on the pitch. he only find the inspiration of what to write to keeley after he sees jamie play.
3. when they’re watching the mexico vs canada game, will and jan are sharing a bowl of popcorn. i thought that was cute.
4. at the end of the episode when all the boys are back sam and moe share a very cute hug and richard does a silly little handshake with jamie.
i hope you enjoyed all my little observations. i love watching the silly things the team does in the background of group scenes, it always makes me so happy.

Shut Up and Drive (Chapter 2)
Roy Kent x F1 Driver!Reader
4.3k words
Warnings: Language, fingering, unprotected sex, the start of catching feelings
A/N: Reader is called "The Empress" by fans. Thanks to @agentstarkid for coming up with the nickname 🩷🩷
Series Masterlist
It didn’t take a genius to know whose eyes were drilling a hole into your backside. When you glanced over your shoulder, you locked eyes with Roy Kent. The corner of his mouth twitched upwards ever so slightly as his eyes raked down your figure. His gaze froze at your middle, where you had tied your racing suit; his eyes were on that little sliver of tummy that you may have purposefully left exposed just for him. You shot him a small wink before turning to chat with one of your engineers.
Roy focused all of his strength on not biting his lip as he stared at you. The two of you had been playing this little game all weekend: gazes across rooms, eyes lingering on each other’s bodies, mentally undressing each other, both wondering if the other was thinking about Roy’s post-race promise.
“Oi, why don’t we get a picture?” Keeley’s voice interrupted a particularly filthy image Roy had swimming in his head that involved you on your knees. “Our Greyhounds with one of the cars. Be real cute, yeah?”
Needing his willpower to prevent himself from getting an obvious hardon, Roy allowed himself to be dragged to one of the cars and- fuck, Keeley was dragging him to your car. The car that he most definitely did not imagine you writhing on top of while he-
“Alright boys, smile pretty!”
Right. Roy, smiling. Keeley was just grateful that he stood next to Jamie while she started snapping away. He swore he saw something light up in her face, but she just continued to take pictures. Freaking Keeley.
“Roy Kent, are you a fan?”
The breath on the back of his neck had a visible shiver coursing through his body. Even just the sound of your voice was enough to make his mind go to the filthiest places. When he turned around, you were smirking up at him, eyebrows raised and hands on your hips, looking like his own personal centerfold in your half-down racing suit.
Before his brain could get the blood back from his crotch, Keeley pulled you into a hug, squealing about how hot you looked in your race suit, something Roy quite agreed with- especially since he knew what was underneath all those layers.
After you’d greeted the others, you turned your attention back to Roy. “Excited to watch the race?”
He swore he saw your eyes flicker to his crotch when you said excited.
Roy shifted his weight, hoping to avoid looking like a horny teenager in front of everyone. “’Course I am. Really looking forward to seeing you win.” Recognizing the lustful look in your eyes, he felt emboldened to quietly add, “And looking forward to celebrating with you after.”
Finally, he’d cracked that cool exterior you wore. Your slight flush only added to his desire “Oh, is that offer still good?” You glanced at the Richmond crew, who were back to taking pictures by your car. “Guess I better get out there and win then.” You gave his bicep a little squeeze. “Wish me luck.”
His voice was low. “You don’t fucking need luck. You’re the fucking Empress.”
You’d been called that little nickname for what felt like forever now. Heard it shouted by fans, had reporters cheekily call you that, even had a couple guys try using it in the bedroom. And you loved the way it sounded in Italian- L'imperatrice- once you joined Ferrari.
But hearing Roy Kent call you that had your pussy practically purring.
You needed to remove yourself from him before you removed his clothes. So, you allowed yourself one last eyeful of the football legend before turning away. “I’ll see you after the race, Roy Kent.”
~
Goddess. That was the only word Roy could think as he watched you up on the podium, drenched in champagne and positively glowing. When the bottles of champagne were popped and poured over you, Roy found himself grateful for the roar of the crowd because he couldn’t hold back his groan, thinking about other things he wanted to see you covered in.
Unfortunately for Roy, the cheers could hide his moans but not his face.
“Roy Kent, are you horny?” Keeley hissed in his ear.
Roy tore his eyes away from you to look at Keeley, completely flabbergasted. “What the fuck, Keeley?”
Her smile was pure, adorable evil. “You’re horny,” she repeated. Her mischievous eyes flashed to the podium. “You fucking like her.”
“Fuck off, Keeley,” he grumbled, trying to look casual when he turned his gaze back to you. But fuck, it was hard when he saw you up there, drenched, in that sexy racing suit, being worshipped like the deity he was completely convinced you were.
Something else was hard when your gazes locked and you offered him that smirk, the one that told him, I’m taking your pants off, Roy Kent.
If only he knew how badly you were fighting the urge to rub your thighs together at the mere sight of him.
Keeley’s elbow dug into his ribs. “Holy shit, are you going to try to shag her?”
He was going to murder the blonde beside him. “Fuck are you on about?” he grumbled, pretending Keeley wasn’t completely on target. “What is actually wrong with you?”
She shrugged, as if she wasn’t torturing her friend. “Roy. I know your horny face. I have been the reason for your horny face.” She pointed at him. “That is your horny face. And, if memory serves me, you are very fucking turned on right now. Not that I could blame you. She’s gorgeous.” Her smile widened. “I ever tell you about the photoshoot we did together? Where I was hanging all over her? Even kissed her in one.”
The tips of Roy’s ears turned bright red. Yeah, that was a mental image he’d have melted into his brain for a long time, especially now that he knew what both of you looked like naked.
“Oi, Keeley!” Jamie wrapped his arms around both of his friends’ shoulders; for once, Roy was grateful for Tartt’s interruption, even if it meant being embraced by the man. “We goin’ to one of the afterparties or something?”
Even though she answered Jamie, her wicked grin was directed at Roy. “Oh, we’re going to Ferrari’s party.”
~
For once in his life, Roy didn’t complain about having to go to a club. Keeley thought she was clever, realizing that Roy was seriously attracted to the gorgeous young champion, and even more clever for dragging Roy to the celebration in your honor. She was such a good friend, trying to help Roy shag his little crush.
What Keeley didn’t realize was that Roy’d already had his tongue inside of you.
“You should go say hi,” Keeley purred, nudging Roy for the millionth time that day. “Bring her a drink or some shit. Flirt with her a little.” She reminded him of a parrot, repeating herself over and over since they’d arrived at the club.
Roy rolled his eyes and leaned his elbows on the high-top table they stood at. “Keeley,” he growled. “You say one more fucking word, and I will never speak to that woman again.” It was an absolute fucking lie, but Roy was desperate for her to stop.
She pouted. “Come on, Roy,” she whined. “Just want to see you all happy and getting some.”
“I get plenty,” he snapped, feeling himself blush.
“When?” she responded, just as curt. “I’ve hardly seen you since any women since we broke up.”
Roy scoffed, pretending Keeley wasn’t once again correct. “Well, not that it’s your fucking business, but I just hooked up with someone recently. And it was fucking great. And she definitely fucking came.” God, he sounded like such a wanker.
Before Keeley could badger him about who this mystery woman was, Jamie pulled her to the dance floor, leaving Roy to finally fucking breathe. He turned his attention to the glass in front of him, frowning at it. Should he go say hi? You were spending your whole night being mobbed by people; did he really want to add to that? And besides, did you really take his little promise seriously?
“There a porno playing at the bottom of that glass or something?”
There you were, wearing a dress that was more skin than material, giving him that fucking smirk. You leaned on the table and gazed up at him, the look in your eyes tempting Roy to pull you close and plant a sloppy kiss to whatever skin his lips found first.
Instead, he lifted his glass. “There she is,” he hummed. “The fucking champion. The Empress.” He wasn’t sure because of the dark lighting, but he swore he saw you blush. “Looked great up there, with your big fucking trophy.”
Your bravado returned with a vengeance. “Speaking of which…” You took a tiny step towards him, letting your fingers brush against the inside of his wrist. “I’ve heard you’ve got a big fucking trophy for me.”
In spite of his spinning head, Roy coolly raised his thick eyebrows at you. “Only if you want it,” he murmured.
Your eyes never left his as you reached into your clutch, pulled out a hotel room key, and slipped it into his hand. “Wait five minutes, then leave. I’ll be five minutes behind you, alright?”
“Yes, ma’am,” he huffed, eyes sparkling as he pocketed the hotel room key. “Bring that bossiness with you, hmm?”
He pushed himself off the table and strode away, letting his fingertips brush against yours. You looked down and let yourself smile, a real, girlish smile; you weren’t sure the last time you wore one of those. But fuck, Roy Kent sure made you feel some kind of giddiness.
“Hey there, gorgeous!” Keeley Jones bounded over to you. “Congratulations!”
You let her pull you into a tight hug, although your mind was already in your hotel room embracing someone else from Richmond. “Thanks, Keeley.”
Keeley’s smile was… suspicious. “Saw Roy chatting with you just now.”
Fuck. “Oh, yeah. Nice guy, was offering me his congratulations.” And his cock.
“Well, between you and me…” She leaned in close, reminding you of the girls you went to school with, the ones who giggled and whispered. “I think Roy’s got a thing for you.”
“Oh.” Dammit, you didn’t know how to react. What are you supposed to say when someone says the guy you’re about to fuck wants to fuck you? “Interesting.”
Keeley all but scoffed. “Interesting?” she repeated. “Come on, you’ve got to admit he’s fit as hell.”
You shrugged. “I guess? I mean, it’s not like I’ve seen the guy naked.” Hey, it’s the truth.
“Well, I have. And believe me, he’s gorgeous.” Keeley nudged you, offering a cartoonish wink. “Should give him a shot.”
As you tried to figure out the least obvious way to get out of this conversation so you could get into Roy Kent’s pants, Jamie Tartt- who was apparently very busy being an angel tonight- rushed over to tell Keeley that Rebecca had just agreed to do body shots off of him and that he needed Keeley to come record it.
Thankful to finally have Keeley gone, you quickly turned on your heel, giving only smiles and waves to the people who wanted to offer you congratulations as you made your way out of the club. But, just like on the track, there was no stopping you; not when you had a big fucking trophy waiting for you.
The entire cab ride to the hotel, you were fighting the urge to touch yourself in the dark backseat, just imagining Roy waiting for you in your suite. Would he be in the sitting room? The bedroom? The shower? Would he be wearing his suit still? Or completely naked and ready for you? Each scenario was hotter than the last, and you felt a little guilty, thinking that you were probably leaving a puddle on the seat of the taxi.
Miraculously, you walked steadily in your high heels through the hotel lobby, to the lift, and finally down the hall to your suite. You paused in front of the door, your confidence failing for the first time all weekend as you stared at the door handle. What if Roy wasn’t in there? What if, on what should be one of the best nights of your life- six fucking titles- you’d just utterly humiliated yourself? Maybe what he’d wanted was a one-time thing and nothing more.
Or, maybe he was just as hot for you as you were for him.
Knowing there was only one way to find out, you fished out the duplicate key to your room from your clutch and pressed it to the sensor. The little beep let you know to go ahead and turn the handle; with a shaky breath, you did.
“Was starting to think you wouldn’t show.”
Roy Kent sat on the couch, the top buttons of his shirt undone, legs crossed, drink in hand, looking like sex personified. He stood up and grabbed the untouched drink that sat on the little coffee table and crossed the room to hand it to you as the door closed behind you.
“Empress.”
You took the drink, unable to suppress the smile that tugged on your lips. “Roy Kent. In my hotel room. Drinking scotch.” You took a sip. “Why does this feel familiar?”
He took your free hand in his and led you back to the couch. Feeling utterly bold, you swung your legs over his lap, pleased with the surprised look in his eye, and even more pleased when he let his hand rest on your shin. He stared, not at your highly exposed body, but at your face, his fiery gaze holding yours carefully.
“You were fucking brilliant today,” he murmured, letting his thumb stroke your shin, natural and casual, as if he did this every night. “Knew from the moment you started your car that you were going to win.” He tilted his head back, the corner of his lips tugging upwards. “Really glad you did.”
You eyed him over the rim of your glass as you took a long sip. “You make a bet with someone that I was going to win?” you teased, kicking off your shoes.
“Something like that.” He finished his scotch and placed his glass back on the table, keeping a firm grip on your legs. “Now, what’s this about you wanting a big fucking trophy?”
“Well, you did promise me something about your pants if I won today.” You sat up, bringing your face to his, nudging his nose with yours. “And I did win.”
“Guess you get a big fucking trophy then.”
His mouth captured yours, somehow even more desperate than last time, scotch and desire on his tongue. Without breaking the kiss, he grabbed the glass you held and placed it next to his, freeing your hands to grab onto his shoulders as you lifted yourself onto his lap, that familiar bulge pressing against you.
“Been waiting all weekend for this,” he mumbled against your mouth, tangling one hand in your hair, and letting the other grip your hip. “All fucking weekend, watching you strut around in that little racing suit.” His mouth trailed down your jaw towards your neck. “Gorgeous fucking thing.”
You rolled your hips into his, not bothering to hide your moan. “And what if I hadn’t won?” you teased, squeezing his shoulders. “What would’ve happened to my big fucking trophy?”
“Then you’d get a big fucking consolation prize.” The hand on your hip found your ass, giving it a squeeze. “Because I was not leaving this weekend without fucking you.”
His brazen, dirty words had you gasping even louder than his clothed hardness. “Fucking hell,” was all you could huff out, giving another thrust down onto him. “Get me into the fucking bedroom already.”
“Whatever you say, Empress.”
You didn’t need to tell Roy twice. Just like Thursday, he held you against him, bringing his mouth back to yours as he traced the now-familiar path to the bedroom, fighting the urge to rip the dress off your body; it could hardly be called a dress anyway, it barely covered a damn thing. And what it did cover, he was desperate to see.
The two of you collapsed onto the bed, Roy on top of you, careful not to press his weight on you. As soon as your back hit the mattress, your hands were on the remaining buttons of his shirt, carelessly opening them, not feeling an ounce of guilt when one ripped off the material and bounced onto the floor. As soon as the last button was undone, you thrust the shirt over his shoulders and tossed it aside.
Finally- fucking finally- you had a piece of Roy Kent’s clothing gone. You broke the kiss to take a good look at his chest, as if you hadn’t just been looking at shirtless photos of him the night before while doing your usual pre-race “ritual”. A sigh flew out of your mouth as your hands trailed down his chest, gripping that thick, dark hair that you wanted to bury your face in.
When you gave a particularly demanding tug at his hair, Roy let out a hiss and gave a jerk, the material against your bare thighs reminding you that he still had his pants on.
“Can I have my prize?” you purred, fiddling with the zipper of his pants; you realized with a smug satisfaction that he’d taken off his belt before you’d even arrived at the suite.
He buried his face in your neck, hands roaming your body. “You can have whatever the fuck you want,” he growled. “Fucking champion. Fucking Empress.”
Determined to take him up on that, your nimble fingers made quick work of his pants, helping him tug them down. Once they were off, he turned over, tugging you to sit on top of him. Your hands and eyes took their time roaming his body; it was everything you knew it would be: strong, muscular, hot to the touch. And now it was the one thing you wanted it to be: yours.
“This would be one hell of a consolation prize,” you whispered, bringing one hand to cup his cheek. “Glad I won. Feel like I deserve it.” You said it in a joking voice, but some small part of you meant it.
He laid his hand on top of yours, giving it a gentle squeeze. “Believe me,” he breathed. “You deserve anything you want.”
The two of you paused, both taken aback by the tenderness of the moment, this interruption to the hot desperation. Roy let out an awkward huff and brought your hand to his mouth, giving your palm a rough kiss.
“You’re the Empress, after all. Fucking royalty and shit.” He was trying to play it off, to act like he’d been flirting and nothing more.
And you decided to join him in playing along. “Then why the fuck am I still wearing my dress?”
His wicked smile returned as his hands shot to your zipper, pulling it down harshly; you were pretty sure he might’ve ripped the dress as he tugged it over your head, but you didn’t care. He wasted no time getting your bra off, smiling at the sight of your bare breasts.
“Oh, I remember you two,” he chuckled, reaching up to grope them. His hands kneaded and tugged and squeezed until he was satisfied with your perky nipples and the groans flying out of your mouth. Determined to hear your pretty noises some more, he bucked up, the sensation more intense now that only two very thin pieces of material lay between you.
He flipped you over, resuming his position hovering over you. His mouth met yours sloppily as he began grinding his clothed length against you, torturing you, knowing you were desperate to get the last bit of his clothing off.
“Fucking tease,” you huffed, fiddling with the waistband of his boxers.
He chuckled and gave a painfully slow grind. “Oi, play nice,” he warned playfully, nipping at your swollen bottom lip. “Patience is a fucking virtue.”
With that, he tugged at your panties, sliding them down your thighs at that tantalizing pace of his. He watched your face shamelessly as your features twisted when you felt his hands brush past your heat.
“Roy,” you whined, bucking up. “Please.”
He throbbed at the sight of you: hair completely mussed, lips red and swollen, eyes glassy, stunning body frantically writhing beneath him, trying to get just a hint of friction. Despite how desperate you appeared, Roy knew the truth: you were in charge.
“Oh, gorgeous,” he cooed, pressing a kiss to your lips. “Just let me enjoy this. Let me enjoy you. Please.”
Unable to say no to the begging eyes he was giving you, you nodded and rocked your hips into his, your own eyes pleading with him to fucking touch you.
He obeyed and brought a strong hand down to your pussy, groaning when he felt how soaked you already were. “This for me?” When you nodded, he moaned again. “Fucking love it.” Though tempted to repeat Thursday night and devour your sweetness, Roy instead watched you carefully as he inserted two fingers into you, his cock twitching when he heard the lewd noises coming out of your mouth as you clenched around his fingers.
He set a slow pace, pumping in and out, practically drooling with the knowledge that soon, his cock would be replacing his lucky fingers. His mouth found yours again, greedily swallowing your moans, tasting your neediness on his tongue.
“Roy,” you hissed as he hit a particularly deep spot. “Give me my fucking trophy. Please.”
He chuckled, caught off-guard by the joking tone in your strangled voice. “Well, since you asked so nicely.”
Your whole body melted when Roy pulled down his boxers and you felt his hot tip, already leaking, press against you. Your hips bucked up to meet him, gasping when you felt him so fucking close to your entrance.
With your eyes squeezed shut in pleasure, you missed the smile Roy had for you, watching you squirm before he’d even entered you. Fuck, if he thought you were a goddess up on the podium, you were otherworldly beneath him right now.
The kind of beauty a careless man could fall in love with.
He concealed a moan in your neck as he slowly buried himself in you, the gentle pace allowing his mind to come to terms with the fact that he was fucking the woman he’d spent far too many hours fantasizing about.
“Fuck,” he hissed as he felt you clench around him. “Fucking perfect.” He pressed his mouth to yours, stuffing your throat with his moans and hisses and fucks. Once he felt you relax and adjust to his size- filling you up even better than you’d ever imagined and- holy shit what is this heavenly curve you feel?- he began thrusting into you, setting a steady pace that had your toes curling.
You wrapped your legs around his waist, wondering how much closer two people could get, and gripped his chest, tugging at that dark hair, while his hands held your hips tight enough that you knew you’d have bruises in the morning.
If you’d thought the sounds from before were lewd, they were nothing to now. Roy was grunting and moaning like a madman, and you were pretty sure the people in the room next to yours could hear your cries of pleasure, leaving no doubt in anyone’s mind that Roy was in your bed, considering the way you moaned his name. And the wet sounds of skin on skin rounded out the dirty symphony that filled the room that would undoubtedly have that sweet smell of sex in the morning.
As you felt your climax build around his cock, you found yourself hoping, in some little part of your mind, that this wouldn’t be the last time you fucked Roy Kent.
You couldn’t dwell on the fleeting thought for long once he gave a particularly rough thrust, sending you over the edge. You spasmed in his grasp, babbling his name and fuck over and over. He chuckled through his own moans, pressing a sweet kiss to your swollen lips.
“Good girl,” he grunted, rocking you through your orgasm. “Fucking come for me. You fucking deserve it.”
For the second time, Roy Kent had you seeing stars as your walls gripped him so hard you were almost scared that you’d push him out. But he kept his pace, splitting you open and approaching his own climax.
“You’re so fucking perfect,” he mumbled through gritted teeth. “Taking me so fucking well. Gonna fucking come for you.”
The blissed-out look on your face, with your glassy eyes and parted lips, sent him over the edge. He shuddered as he spilled into you, his forehead falling against yours. You groaned, your heart and pussy both fluttering at the feeling of being filled by Roy Kent.
Carefully, he pulled out of you, chuckling at the noise you made, a mix between a hiss and a whine, letting him know that you already missed the feeling of him. He rolled over onto his back, turning his head to gaze at you. You met his eyes with a heavenly smile.
“Well,” you chirped breathlessly, “if that’s the champion treatment, guess I’ll have to keep winning.”
He laughed and reached over to brush some hair out of your face. “I have no doubt that you will.”
You relished the fact that he left his palm on your cheek. “Spend the night.” It wasn’t a request or a question.
“Fucking tempting,” he hummed, letting out a disappointed sigh that had you frowning. “But I’m sharing a room with fucking Jamie. Prick’ll notice if I don’t come back.”
“Will Jamie Tartt wake you up with a blowjob?”
A smile- a wide, joyful smile- spread across that handsome face. “Well in that fucking case-” He pulled you to him and kissed your lips, letting his embrace assure you that, at least for tonight, Roy Kent wasn’t going anywhere.

Roy’s been so obsessed with Jamie the whole time, actually. Keeley ‘s a little bit weird about him too.
- While flirting with Keeley in the press room, trying to get her to give him a second chance “Because I like you more than I hate him”
- Keeley being turned on by Jamie offering an inkling of vulnerability after showing up at her door
- “Every time I wanna kiss my girlfriend, I can’t stop thinking about Jamie fucking Tartt”
- In the middle of making out with Keeley, literally on top of her after he’s just walked in on her masturbating, “What did you tell the prince prick of all pricks about going back to Richmond?”
- Jamie thinking Roy and Keeley started dating just to make him jealous which. Well. Keeley technically had sex with Jamie to get back at Roy in Season 1
I’m probably missing some moments but They Are Just So Weird About Each Other. And in retrospect, the love triangle angle could’ve been done soooo much better. I hate that Jamie’s apology for the video leak is diminished when he tells Roy about it in the bar, but I do understand it shows their character regression and serves a greater purpose for Roy’s arc. And maybe it’s an unpopular opinion, but it would’ve been more interesting if Keeley and Jamie had sex after he apologized in S3 (although the hug was really sweet).
idk why but the way you worded it "Keeley's a little bit weird about him too" actually made me laugh out loud lmao. Thank you for that anon. I think Keeley ALSO being unhinged about Jamie is something that is underrated!
I think my favorite is the scene where Keeley masturbates to Roy's retirement presser because the whole thing is SO 'Jamie is the third person in the room right now even though he is not actually here in the room.' Like. Let's compile the Evidence in that scene alone:
Keeley's vulnerability kink is activated so hard by Jamie having traced her to her coffee shop to seek her advice specifically that she immediately goes home to have a wank about it. Except she can't wank to Jamie can she? That would be bad because she's In a Committed Relationship. So she pulls out her old reliable Roy vulnerability video to wank to that instead. (Already it's pretty crazy.)
But then Roy comes home and Keeley tells him how hot she finds him when he's vulnerable, suggests again he take a chance on the pundit job and then uses JAMIE AS THE COMPARISON. literally fully well knowing how Roy can Get about Jamie Tartt, she's on about 'Jamie is brave.' 'At least Jamie is trying to get better.' 'YOU'RE JUST LIKE JAMIE.' i mean, GIRL?? insane. this is all after being walked in on mid-wank mind you.
In midst of all that, let's queue up another super sexy roykeeley kiss. at this point the conversation has MOVED ON. only for roy to BRING JAMIE UP AGAIN. 'what did you tell the prince prick of all pricks?' WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO KNOW ROY. whyyy are you still thinking about him. unbidden. as you are right in the midst of foreplay with your girlfriend.
Insanity on all sides of the triangle ❤️
But all of your examples are spot on and I fully think the weirdness about one another started even before any of that and got FAR WEIRDER from s3 and beyond. For instance, Keeley in the season one bar scene openly getting turned on by Roy with Jamie right there... one could argue that she was already leaning towards trading in Jamie for a nicer model but frankly. I think girl was angling for a threesome even then. And good for her!
Keeley and Jamie sleeping together after he came to apologize would've been a MESS. I would love to read a fic of that!
Part of what is so fun to me about the three of them canonically ending the series single is that the possibilities and configurations for smooshing them all together remain endless. maybe they all three figured it out at the same time and got together in a very romantic and cute and non-angsty way. BUT. if you want to be messy. roykeeley or jamiekeeley or royjamie can get together first, and whichever one is left out can just absolutely without a doubt be Going Through It. Meanwhile things aren't going fully well for the couple, and it's far from bad but they still can't get it RIGHT because it still feels like something (hint: someone) is missing. The someone who is currently off to the side thinking they aren't good enough aren't lovable aren't ever going to be okay again but at least their favorite two people are happy :( without them :( :( glorious

Unsure and Unconventional, to say the least (Ted Lasso Fic)
Author's note: because the Uncle's Day scenes made me think a lot of things. Phoebe would have Jamie wrapped around her finger in like .01 seconds. They would be a mischievous duo. And the team would be like awww that's cute.
Parts of this fic partially Inspired by:
an answered ask (HERE) by @andfrecklesandyoursmile about Roy giving his sister Jamie's contact for "emergencies".
@politelymenacing did a post that (THIS ONE) That may have helped inspire some dialog.
So credit to those brilliant post.

Unsure and Unconventional, to say the least
“Coach?” Will says as he nears Roy Kent as the coach oversees training on the pitch. “Someone’s here to see you. They’re in the office.”
Roy’s brows furrow. He wasn’t expecting anyone. Keeley would have just come out and joined them on the sidelines. He grunts in acknowledgment and heads inside.
“Uncle Roy!” he hears as soon as he reaches the doorway.
“Phoebe?” He says, accepting the little girl’s hug when she reaches him. He looks over to see his sister talking to Trent Crimm. Trent Crimm moves to the doorway. Stopping to offer to take Phoebe so she could say hi to the team.
“Can I please, Uncle Roy? I want to say hi to Jamie,” Phoebe looks up at him with those big eyes he just can’t say no to, or at least say no and mean it. He looks to his sister, who shrugs.
“What? They're friends now too,” his sister says, challenge clear in her tone. “That a problem, Roy?”
Trent watches the Kent siblings with silent interest. Phoebe practically buzzed with excitement as she waits for an answer next to him.
“A 25-year-old prick cannot be friends with an 8-year-old girl,” Roy glares.
“That bridge is long crossed, dear brother,” she laughs. “Especially after Uncle's day.”
“Uncle's day?” Trent asks with a grin.
“Fuck off, Crimm,” Roy grunts. His sister just gives him a fond and familiar look. “Fine,” Roy relents. “You can go say hi to Jamie, but stay out of the line of play. And don’t-”
But she is already gone, an amused Trent following close behind. Phoebe tells him all about Uncle's day as she goes.
His sister grins. “She’s just going to bother Jamie. Thought you’d at least find that amusing.”
Roy grunts. “Too bad the prick will enjoy it.” Roy winces it. “That just sounds so fucked up.”
“You make it sound so wrong that she likes your friends,” his sister says. “That you think the people you have surrounded yourselves with are criminals.”
“How would you know if they are or aren’t?” he glares at her.
“Because you’d have kicked them in the teeth and sent them packing if they were. Jamie Tartt might be a prick, but even I know he’d probably die before letting anything happen to Phoe, especially if his childhood was half as shit as you’ve said. And he can’t be a complete twat if he sat through the whole of Uncle's day.” She grins.
“Alright, cut the shit. What’s wrong?” He is quick to change the topic. “I know you’re not here to talk about Jamie fucking Tartt?”
“You sure about that?” She raises a brow. He growls. “Fine, I need you to take her this weekend. One of my colleagues was supposed to speak at a conference, and the prick went and caught something on holiday.”
“So now you have to go?” he asks.
“Fuck no,” she says. “I’m covering for the poor bastard that does, which means I’m working a double.”
“Fuck that,” Roy says, annoyed on her behalf.
“I know you have a match, and this might ruin your plans with Keeley-" she starts, but he doesn't care what else she has to say.
“Fuck off. It’s fine. We’ll take her,” Roy doesn’t even hesitate to say. “Kid always comes first. You know that.”
“I know,” she nods. "Thanks."
"You don't need to fucking thank me," he states.
"I don't, but I'm still going to, you fucking prick," she says fondly. "Every time, no matter how much you curse or growl."
"You could have just texted me," Roy says.
"Yeah, but then I couldn't ruin your whole day by asking you the same question you have avoided answering. Can't avoid it in person."
Roy growls, and his glare intensifies. Most people would probably hesitate to continue. Or even hurry to leave. Not his sister. She was used to Roy's behavior decades ago. Roy would kill for his sister. Die for Phoebe. And he'd do it happily. She knew that.
"Roy, you can't just ignore your feelings forever." She holds a hand up to stop whatever argument he was about to make. "You can, and you probably would. I know you, Roy. I know that you-"
"Don't," he cautions. She sighs.
"You might think that you're hurting just yourself here, but you're not. And that's not fair to anyone." She doesn’t drop specific names because she doesn’t want to risk anyone hearing the specifics. And she knows there isn't any point in pushing more now. "And I know you don't actually want to hurt him. You'll make the right call eventually." She grins. Before heading in the direction of the tunnel out to the pitch.
"You're lucky that you're my sister," he growls when he catches up to her.
"And that you love us, I know," she bumps her shoulder against his. He hums more than he grunts for once as he walks. He gives into that voice in the back of his head that he used to always ignore when in public, even if it's just the dog track on a training day. He puts his arm around her shoulder and pulls her into a half hug as they walk. God, she might be a pain in the arse, but he loved his sister and her kid. He may have smiled just a little as she returned the gesture.
"You know I'm just trying to look out for you. Like you always do us," she says as they walk out of the tunnel toward the pitch. "You may think you're happy now, just think how much better it could be."
"You spend too much time with Keeley, and she spends too much time with Ted and Rebecca," he laments.
"I'm just glad we finally get to spend time with your friends. Richmond really has brought the best out of that boy from Chelsea that kicked Brock Lorens' arse at the commons."
"Do it again, too," Roy grunts. "Fucking deserved it."
"He was a bellend," she grins.
"He gave you a black eye. That's not a bellend. That's a fucker with a death wish."
"Who has a death wish now?" Ted asks as they reach them. Roy drops his arm as they do. "Hey there, Doc." Ted greets her.
"Coach Lasso, Crimm," she nods. "Coach Beard." He responds with a nod.
She turns her attention back to Ted as he speaks. "Glad to see you outside the ER, or is it ED here? Heh, that always sounds so odd to me. ED means something very different where I'm from," Ted says. "Probably just nice to get out of those scrubs. Those always seemed so starchy," he continues earning an amused look from her and a growl from Roy.
"It is nice to meet in a less sterile but just as chaotic environment," she says. Her brother has warned her to pretty much ignore most of what Ted Lasso says. She looks out to where Phoebe has seemed to draw the attention of most of the Richmond team. "Hopefully, my daughter hasn't caused too much commotion."
"Aw, the boys could always use a bit of a break," Ted assures her. "No harm, no foul."
She chuckles as a player, one she recognizes as Dani Rojas gives Phoebe a bear hug that lifts her feet off the ground. Phoebe's laughter carried across the pitch. Her brother grunts. She knew she was pushing it the longer they hung around. Her brother used to keep his professional and personal lives separate. Didn't like the way his teammates would look at her. This team was different. He seemed to trust them a lot more. And she could seem to see why. But she was still playing a dangerous game, treading on her brother's nerves. He takes his job very seriously, and they were disrupting it.
"Should probably let you lot get back to it."
"Well, go on, coach," Ted says to Roy. "Know you want to."
His sister is smart enough to step away. Moving closer to Ted and Beard. Doesn't even flinch when Roy shouts. "Oi! This is training, not a fucking playdate! Put her down and get back to your fucking drills!” She just shakes her head.
"Been dying to ask," Ted keeps his voice low as he leans towards her. "He always been like that?"
"He's been Roy Fucking Kent since the day he was born," she says with a grin. "But he has his moments. You can say he was a very protective older brother. Don't know why I said was. Still very much is."
"Like dealing with whoever had that death wish?" Ted asks, low tone forgotten.
"Fuckin' Lorens. I'd smash his face in if he showed that ugly mug around here," Roy grumbles.
"Again?" His sister smirks.
"Yes, again. Fucking twat." Roy growls.
Ted looked between the Kent siblings. "That bad, huh?"
"No one lays a hand on either one of them if they want to keep it," Roy states.
"What did you tell his mates the next day when they threatened to go to the teachers?" She grins.
"To fucking do it," Roy says. "That I'd give them a detailed list of every fucking thing they'd ever done to any kid in her class."
"He then listed them, chronologically accurate."
"Then told those fucks that if they even breathed at my sister wrong, their teeth would be in the pavement."
"Wow," was all Ted could say.
"So yes, Coach Lasso, I can assure you, he has always been some version of this Roy Fucking Kent."
"Fucking, right," Roy says.
"And yes, I got more first aid training patching up his sorry arse after fights than I did in medical school."
*-*-*-*
(Earlier during training…)
Jamie’s head snapped up when the pitch goes quiet. He had stopped to stretch out an annoying knot in his hamstring. The striker wondered why drills had stopped despite no whistle. Not even Roy’s shout of it. He looked up at his teammates, Sam and Jan being the closest. Sam was grinning. Then something collides with his back. He immediately tensed up until small arms snaked around his neck. Jamie let out the breath he was holding and huffs a laugh.
“Just gonna run right out an’ tackle me, Phoebs?” Jamie laughs.
“Keeley says you like hugs,” Phoebe says in his ear.
“Especially, Phoebe-shaped ones,” he says with a nod. He reaches around with one arm to anchor her to him as he shifts to stand up. Earning a few curious looks from his teammates. Jamie couldn’t have possibly cared less. When he is on his feet, he reaches up with his other arm to keep hers secure around his neck. He spins her around. She laughs. It’s an infectious noise that causes a few of his teammates to chuckle. When he stops, Phoebe giggles and says she’s dizzy now. He goes to let her down, but her grip only tightens. He can’t help but smile.
“Wouldn’t be the first time someone got sick on the pitch,” Sam says.
“Roy would love that,” Colin says as he and others join them, all of training seemingly unofficially put on hold.
“Speakin’ of,” Jamie starts as he makes exaggerated motions as he turns to look around. Phoebe laughs as he swings her around. “Where is the grumpy prick?” Jamie asks having not seen the man. Phoebe giggles, but before she can chastise him for his language, he adds, “Yeah, I know, it’s a bad word, innit? Pay ya next time.” His teammates laugh. He feels her nod more than sees it.
“Mum said she needed to talk to him and that I could come say hi,” Phoebe tells him.
“Well, hi,” Jamie says.
“Hi,” she laughs.
“Say hi to the lads, Phoebs,” Jamie grins.
“Hi lads,” she parrots, earning amused greetings from the now bigger group of players.
“You here for more than Jamie hugs?” Sam asks.
“Do you want a hug?” Phoebe asks, and the others laugh.
"I did not mean-" Sam starts to say but is cut off by Jamie.
“I’m sure the lads wouldn’t turn one down,” Jamie grins. Phoebe shifts, and Jamie lets her down. Sam does indeed accept a hug. A few of the others do too. Dani Rojas makes her laugh by picking her up off her feet and swinging her around.
“Oi!” They hear from the side of the pitch. “This is training, not a fucking playdate! Put her down and get back to your fucking drills!”
“Sorry, Uncle Roy,” Phoebe says at the same time the others say, “Yes, Coach.” Jamie just huffs, scoops her up and jogs them over, and sets Phoebe down on the sideline by her mom and uncle.
"Lovely as ever, Doc," Jamie winks, greeting Roy's sister.
"Charming as always, Tartt," she returns. Roy growls. "Alright. Steady on," she says, patting Roy's arm. "Say goodbye to Jamie and the coaches, Phoe."
"Bye, Jamie. Bye, Coach and Coach." She hugs Roy. "Bye, Uncle Roy."
"See you this weekend," Roy tells her as he hugs her back.
"Think about what I said," his sister says in a low tone to Roy, glancing at Jamie as she does. Jamie gives her a confused look, but she just grins as she pulls away. "Laters team," she says louder to the group. She takes Phoebe's hand and leaves.
*-*-*-*
“She’s gonna be a heartbreaker that gets legs broken,” Isaac says to the group as they watch the interaction on the sidelines.
“And that’d be the lucky ones Coach likes,” Colin adds.
“Not just Coach,” Sam mutters.
“Nah, Tartt would aim for faces,” Isaac says. “Kent would make sure no one’s walking away, but Tartt knows too well how they think. No helpin’ the ones that break her heart.”
“Make the outside match the inside,” Colin nods. “Break her heart, and they’ll be lucky if those two break their face.” A few of the players grimace, and the others nod in agreement.
“Fucking get to it, or you’re all running laps til I say so!” Roy shouts.
Jamie shakes his head as he joins them. “Might want to hustle, lads,” Jamie smirks. “As soon as she’s gone, he’ll run ya til you’re the ones sick on the pitch.”
“Yeah, alright,” Isaac says. “Back to it.”
They all head back to drills.
*-*-*-*
Roy is not surprised, but still annoyed, to find Jamie waiting for him after training. The locker room is empty but for Jamie. Roy resists the urge to go back into the office, but he knows Jamie would just keep waiting. Jamie was already in his street clothes, scrolling through his phone, and sitting like the fucking prick never learned how to properly use a chair.
"What the fuck are you still doing here?" Roy asks.
"Took ya long enough," Jamie says, getting to his feet. "So your sister-"
"Don't even think about it, Tartt," Roy growls.
Jamie holds his hands up at the sheer rage in Roy's tone, but he doesn't flinch or back away. "I wasn't gonna say anything like that, fuckin hell."
"Then what?"
"Just wonderin' why they dropped by. Not usually her thing," Jamie says. "Gotta be important to drop by in person, no text or shit."
Roy knew he had a point. He'd been concerned himself when Phoebe had run up to him. The only reason he hadn't been scared shitless that something was wrong was that no one was in tears, or as much as in tears that any of the Kents get. That image was seared in his brain from when that no good waste of space ex of hers left them.
"They're fine," Roy says as they head out to the car park.
"So we don't need to hide a body or slash any tires?" Jamie asks. If Roy didn't know any better, he would have thought Jamie sounded disappointed. When Roy doesn't say anything, Jamie looks up at him. "What?" Jamie asks. "Phoebe seemed fine, so I thought maybe-"
"Since when do you have thoughts about my sister? Since when do you have thoughts?!"
Jamie rolls his eyes. "Excuse me for giving a shit about your life and family."
Roy sighs. "Phoebe is fine. My sister, she is fine. She has to work a double this weekend and needs someone to watch Phoebe."
"I can-"
"No, you cannot," Roy stops walking as he reaches his car. "You have a match."
"So do you, Coach," Jamie counters.
"Well aware," Roy says. "She'll be in the box with Keeley."
"She'll love that," Jamie grins.
"Like I said, they're fine, so go home, Tartt."
*-*-*-*
"There she is!" Jamie says, picking Phoebe up in a hug and setting her feet on the bench so she was out of the usual chaos of the locker room. He glanced around. Everyone was still riding the high of winning the match. "Have fun with Keeley in the owner's box?"
"Yes!" Phoebe was quick to answer. Jamie did his best to keep her focus on him. He usually wouldn't give a shit about his team's manners. Even when it was Keeley or Ms. Welton in the room, Phoebe is 8. She's an innocent kid.
"Tell me about it," he says as he puts on a new shirt. Thankful that Keeley must have timed it so most of them would be wrapping up in the locker room by the time Phoebe got there. She starts telling him all about watching the game.
"You scored a goal!" Phoebe beams at him. Jamie can't help but smile.
Cockburn chuckles as he closes his cubby.
"Colin did, too," Jamie says.
"Keeley said you helped then, too," Phoebe says.
"That's what teammates do, Phoebs, you know that. You play on your own team."
"Less fun now that Uncle Roy coaches you," she says. A chorus of awws has Jamie looking over his shoulder. A few of the players were hovering.
"I'm sure your uncle misses coaching you, too," Sam says as he approaches.
"Richmond pays better," Jan states. "Would be silly to pick a children's league over-"
"Fuck off, Jan Maas," Jamie grumbles. "She's 8, and he still coaches her team when he can."
"Jamie…" Phoebe says, and she holds out her hand. Jamie feigns annoyance as he moves around the edge of the bench. He does reach up and put a hand on her arm to make sure she doesn't get knocked off balance by his movements. He gets his wallet out of his bag and hands her the money. She gestures again. He rolls his eyes and more money that he owes her from training.
"Good," Phoebe smiles. The teammates around him laugh. Phoebe clearly had Jamie wrapped around her finger.
"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up," Jamie tells them. "She'll get you, too, if you don't watch your language." He grins at Phoebe. "Still think you should cash Uncle Roy's debt in for a pony," he says with a wink.
"Better!" Dani says excitedly. "A puppy."
"How is a puppy better than a pony? I thought most little girls wanted a pony." Sam asks.
"You watch too many movies," Colin says. "Kitten, get a kitten. Less maintenance for your poor ma."
"Just what she needs, a grumpy black cat to match her grumpy and gloomy uncle," Jamie grins.
"Maybe smaller l, like a guinea pig or a-"
"No one is getting her a pet," Roy grunts.
"Uncle Roy!" She reaches out for him from where she stands on the bench. Half the team looks like they are about to try and catch her if she falls. Sam actually reaches out.
"Mate, she's 8 and plays football. She's fine," Jamie rolls his eyes but grins. She's safer in this locker room than probably anywhere else.
Roy steps up into the spot Jamie had been in before he moved over to the other side of the bench.
"Uh huh," Sam says. "And yet you braced her when you rounded the bench."
"He did put her up there," Dani points out.
"Fewer elbows and…other things in her eye line up there," Jamie says. "I'm not driving her to therapy."
"You would," both Sam and Dani laugh.
Roy shakes his head and looks at Phoebe. "Ready to go?" He asks.
"Keeley said we could get ice cream," She says. Roy is not surprised.
"If Keeley said so," Roy states. Earning a few murmurs from the room. Roy growls. Phoebe seems unphased.
"Can Jamie come too?" She asks.
"Yeah, coach, can Jamie come too?" Jamie smirks as he leans against the divider between his and Canterbury's compartments. Roy ignores him.
"You can ask him yourself, Phoebe. He's your friend, apparently."
"I still think he's your best friend," Phoebe says. Yeah, Roy left the door open for that one. That was on him.
"Yet he says it’s Isaac," Roy attempts to deflect the attention her statement got him.
"You wish," Isaac laughs.
"Get your own best friend, Tartt," Colin agrees.
"That's just ridiculous. It's clearly, Sam. Did you not see the international matches?" Reynolds says.
"He can have more than one best friend, can't he?" Dani asks. "I do."
"Of course you do," Jamie chuckles as he makes sure he has everything he needs to leave. He looks up and when Phoebe calls his name.
"Want to get ice cream with us, Jamie?" He glances at Roy. Roy rolls his eyes and shrugs.
"O' course, Phoebs," Jamie says. His smile softens. "Love to."
"Then get your arse moving, don't have all damn night." Roy helps Phoebe off the bench, and they head out the door.
"She's right," Sam says. "They're clearly best friends."
Everyone in the locker room murmurs in agreement.
"Is Tartt with her mum or something?" Someone asks.
"God no," Sam says. "He'd be dead if was."
"Fair point," Isaac says.
"But Jamie Tartt isn't the old Jamie Tartt," Dani counters.
"Yeah," Colin says. "But Roy Kent is still Roy Kent. He'd have destroyed Tartt for that."
"He has threatened to kill Tartt for a lot less," Sam admits.
"Yeah," the others agree.
*-*-*-*
"Glare any harder, and you might melt the cone with the heat of it," Keeley nudges Roy as she says it. Roy blinks before looking over at her. She is obviously amused by how he is acting.
"How is this not weird to you?" Roy says in a harsh whisper. Glancing over at where Phoebe is knocking around a balled-up wrapper as a ball on the tabletop nearby. She and Jamie had been seeing how long they could keep it going without it hitting the floor. It gets oddly competitive when it shifts to who can get it between two napkin dispensers more while not letting their ice cream melt. It only got worse once their ice cream was gone. Though Roy found it as funny as Phoebe did when Jamie got a brain freeze from it.
"It's like minding two children," Roy complains.
"Would you rather have to entertain her yourself?" Keeley asks. Roy just grunts. Phoebe cheers when she lands her last shot.
"Well played," Jamie grins and looks over at Roy. "Almost done, old man?" Roy has to resist making an inappropriate comeback. There are children, not just Phoebe, around. And normally, Roy doesn't give a fuck what people think about him. But he wasn’t actually that upset about anything. Jamie had actually gone out of his way to look after Phoebe in the locker room. He'd watched them through the window in the office while talking to Beard about the match. He could tell Jamie was trying to keep her focus on him and not the room full of half-dressed footballers. And in the past, he might have thought he was just being an attention needing twat, but Jamie had been keeping track of who was where in the room. Keeping himself between her and the rest of the room. So he'd give him a bit more leeway. And Keeley was right. Phoebe was having fun. They still have another day to keep her busy. Having Jamie keep her busy for a bit hasn't done any harm. Instead of saying anything, he just finishes his ice cream cone and gets up. He holds a hand out to Keeley, and she takes it as she gets up. "Let's go."
"Thanks for the invite," Jamie says to Phoebe as they walk back to Nelson Road. Jamie giving her a piggyback ride. She smiles, shifting so she can pat his head. He laughs. So does Keeley. "You too, granddad." He says to Roy when the laughter dies down. Roy does roll his eyes at that. Roy wonders how this became his life. And that thought made him wonder if this was a good thing or a bad thing. His gut reaction is, of course, it's bad. Jamie is the king prick of pricks. But he knows that's not true anymore. Jamie had picked to go with them to ice cream instead of the club to celebrate with the team. Jamie'd rather spend his time entertaining Roy's 8-year-old niece at an ice cream parlor while Roy and Keeley enjoyed their own treats than party with the boys. Or even find a casual hook-up like the old Jamie would probably do. No. Instead, he was carrying a sugar-fueled child on his back despite it being less than an hour out from playing a full football match. Roy's knee would have been protesting if it was him. They stop when they reach Keeley's car.
"What are you doing now?" Phoebe asks Jamie when he lets her down.
"He should go home. Rest and recover," Roy says.
"Not going to join the team at the club?" Keeley asks.
He shrugs. "Just going to head home. Catch up on something streaming."
"Nothing fun?" Phoebe asks.
"You heard Coach Uncle Roy," he grinned. "Gotta recover."
Phoebe gives him a hug, and he heads to his car.
*-*-*-*
After Phoebe is down for the night, Keeley hands Roy a beer. "You going to tell me what is going on, or am I going to have to just wait it out until you crack up?"
Roy considers ignoring her question, but he knows she will just bring it up again later.
"Just something my sister has been bothering me about," he says.
"Do I get specifics, or am I just to go off that vague nothing of a sentence?"
Roy huffs. "She's been on my case about Jamie."
"What about Jamie?" That piqued her interest. "Does your sister want to shag Jamie Tartt?"
"Fuck off." He cringes at the idea. "I hope not."
"Okay, then what is she on about?"
Roy has not been able to figure out how to say that part out loud. Especially to Keeley. They are barely back together, and Jamie is her ex. She still cares for Jamie, and Jamie has never denied he still loves Keeley in one way or another. Jamie maintains he's glad the two got back together. He had told Roy he was a dumb fuck of an old man and even dumber than Jamie himself was for dumping Keeley. Roy had agreed with at least part of Jamie's assessment on that. He had fucked up by pushing Keeley away. But Jamie had been there to keep Roy out of his head. Even if he was just pushing his buttons to give him a vent for his frustration. Filing the silence in training with annoying factoids that seemed infuriating at the time, but looking back, were just keeping his mind focused on something else. Roy hadn't realized how much he had leaned on Jamie. He had gotten to the point he'd started noticing stupid little things that Jamie would appreciate when Jamie wasn’t even around. Whether it was some stupid video on the internet or someone else's fuck up that he knew they could both find amusing. Fuck this was frustrating to think about. His mind had been drifting more and more to Jamie Tartt during the quiet moments of his life.
"Roy?" Keeley shakes his shoulders. He grunts. "Now I know something is up. Spill it."
Roy growls, not at her but at his own stupidity. Keeley just waits him out.
So he tells her about his sister's visit to Nelson Road. About how she had been questioning him about his feelings for Jamie since Uncle's day. Keeley is damn near giddy by the time he finishes talking.
"You love Jamie," she grins.
"I love you," he counters.
"And Jamie!"
"Would you fucking shut it," he hisses. He glances over at the stairs and silently waits to see if he hears Phoebe. Keeley glares at him. And he knows he fucked up. That had been too harsh. "Sorry, that was-"
"A bit harsh, yeah?" She takes a pull of her drink. "You're lucky I love you."
"I am," he admits. "But I'd rather not Phoebe hear this."
"But you haven't denied you love Jamie."
Roy groans, rubbing his eyes.
"You can't, can you?" Keeley grins. "You can love more than one person. The heart is a bitch like that."
"Keeley," he grumbles.
"You aren't the only one," she admits.
"What?" Roy asks.
"It's like…” she starts to explain. “He's kept all the sweet things I genuinely enjoyed when I was him and grew out of most, if not all, the bad bits."
"He's changed so much," Roy agrees. "And I don't know if that's endearing or infuriating."
"Well, you love him, so clearly, you have your answer."
"You just admitted you still love him too."
"Yeah, but I loved him before. It's new for you."
"Well, what the fuck are we going to do about it?" He asks.
"Honestly?"
"Yes," he growls.
"Drag him to the bed and settle it the fun ways," she says, taking a drink.
"Fuck off," Roy growls.
"I'm serious, babe," Keeley says. "He went to get ice cream instead of clubbing with the fellas. He asked if he needed to help you murder someone. He'd risk his career for you. He is ready and waiting for you at insane hours of the day already. He had a poster of you in his room as a kid. Admitted he loved watching you play. He still looks at you like you're his hero. Like he can't believe you would let him have even a fraction of your time and attention. Roy, he cares what you think. He lights up like the sun when you tell him he did a good job. Can you really not see how much he wants your approval? Your attention? Good or bad, he lives for it."
Roy has to look away as she speaks. That was a hell of a list. How has he missed it all?
"So you think he'd-" he slowly starts to say.
"If we texted him right now,” she interrupts him. “I guarantee he'd be here in minutes. If you asked him to do anything, he would."
"I doubt that," Roy vocalizes the little voice in his brain. The one that doubts most everything.
"Fine, I'll prove it." She grabs her phone and starts typing a message.
"What are you-"
"There. Done," she sends a message.
"What did you just do?" Roy asks, dread pooling in his stomach.
"Invited him tomorrow night," She says.
He is slightly relieved she hadn't invited him to come round now.
*-*-*-*
Jamie has the worst timing when not on the pitch. During training, during a match, he is a master at timing shots. He knows when and where to strike. As for his life outside the pitch, that has been a mess since, probably forever. Like now, he’s just kicked back on his sofa, tv on for mostly just background noise as he scrolls through social media and other sites on his phone. The match had been good. He was sending some of the best reactions and headlines to the team chat as he does. He had just taken a drink because Roy would probably kill him if he didn’t hydrate when he got a text from Keeley. He opened it and choked on his drink. He ended up coughing so hard his eyes watered. She told him to come round tomorrow night. That they had something important to talk to him about. Jamie’s chest hurts, and it isn’t entirely from the coughing fit he just had. Did he do something wrong? He thought they had a good time earlier, and it wasn’t even an inappropriate or raunchy good time. It was kid friendly. He kept Phoebe happy and safe. Isn’t that like Roy’s number one priority? Always. And Jamie is happy to help with that. Did he do too much? Or is it the whole locker room thing? She had found him there. He’d kept her from seeing anything she’d need therapy to forget. Was it something he didn’t do? The lads wouldn’t mess with her. They fear Roy far too much. But Roy didn’t scare him as much as he might have in the past. But fear wasn't his motivating factor for once. Jamie wanted to look after Phoebe because she was just a kid. She deserved to feel safe and happy. Roy might hate that Phoebe’s dad is not in the picture, but Jamie knows there are worse things than an absent father. An abusive one that resents your very existence. One that you can’t get away from. A dad like that is something he hopes Phoebe never has to even think about. He hopes her friends, classmates, teammates, all of them never have to go through what Jamie did. What Jamie still has to deal with. But Phoebe has Roy, at least. She doesn’t need a father. She has her mother. She has her Uncle Roy. She even has Keeley and now Jamie. The more people in her corner is a good thing, right? So it can’t be about all that, right? Then what else could it be? It’s Keeley, so it’s probably not about the match or training. He looks at the message again. He probably is taking too long to respond. So he sends her a message saying he’d be there and sets his phone on the table. So much for rest and recovery. He knows his dumb brain is not going to let this go.
*-*-*-*
"Phoebe go home?" Jamie asks when Keeley lets him in.
"Yeah, disappointed?" Keeley asks.
Jamie shrugs, aiming for nonchalant but coming off as anxious and a bit exhausted.
"Roy's in there," she gestures past the stairs to the living room. Jamie still seems to hesitate. "I'm right behind you, babe."
Roy notices it immediately. Something was not right with Jamie. That was clear as day as Jamie made his way into Keeley’s living room. The striker looked more exhausted now than he had when they watched him leave the Nelson Road car park.
“Are you okay?” Keeley finally asks as she follows the younger man.
Jamie waves it off. "I'm fine," he insists.
“Don't exactly look it. You end up out with the team after you left?” Roy asks.
“Nah, went home, just shit sleep,” Jamie attempts to shrug it off as nothing. He was not going to tell them his brain was thinking of a million ways this conversation could end badly for him. "Been worse, yeah?"
“Nightmares?” Keeley asks. Jamie shakes his head.
“It wasn’t your dad was it?” Roy asks. One of these days he was going to make James Tartt, Sr. pay for what he's done. All the shit he put his son through. That line of thinking is cut off for now as Jamie speaks.
“Wasn’t him. Wasn’t anyone, really. It’s nothin’,” he insists. “You’re the ones with something important to discuss.” Keeley looks at Roy before looking back to Jamie. Her brows furrow.
“How about tea,” Roy says before turning toward the kitchen. "Already started, shouldn't take long."
Keeley drags Jamie to the sofa and makes him sit as Roy leaves the room. She sits beside him. She frowns again when he puts more space between them by moving to the end of the sofa. Or at least as far as he can with her insane amount of throw pillows. That doesn't sit well with her. He looks so uneasy. Jamie used to act like he owned the place when he came over. Sure he was less of a prick the last few times, but this was not even how the new Jamie usually was with her. “Jamie…were you worried about this?” She gestures between Jamie and herself. "About this talk?" Jamie doesn’t answer beyond a shrug. "You aren’t in trouble or anything, babe.”
“I didn’t say that I thought I was,” Jamie tries to argue. His guard was up. He didn't want to feel stupid or look weak having worried over something this…well he wouldn't say insignificant. She had said it was important.
“Didn’t say you didn’t either,” Keeley counters. And he knew she had him there. The old part of Jamie that still pops up in his brain sometimes tells him to play it off as if he didn’t actually care. Or to just be a prick. But he doesn’t really want to do that. He’s not going to turn it on her and make her feel bad because his brain jumps to worst-case scenarios. He sighs and leans back until his head is resting on the back of the sofa, and he’s staring at the ceiling.
“Sorry,” He says but avoids looking at her. “You said it was important, and my brain ran with it.”
“Jamie,” she shifts, half kneeling on the sofa, and bracing her hand on his shoulder to try and get him to look at her. “Yes, what we want to talk about is important. But it's not bad.” “So I didn’t do something wrong, didn’t fuck anything up yesterday?” She goes to run her fingers through his hair to soothe him but she stops when she feels him tense up as he speaks.
“What?” Roy asks as he sets down a tray with steaming mugs of tea on the coffee table. “Match was a win. You played well, and went for ice cream. What would you have fucked up?”
“That’s what I couldn’t figure out,” Jamie admits, finally looking at them.
“So you’re saying you got a text from us, saying we wanted to talk to you about something,” Roy starts as he hands Jamie his tea.
“Important. Something important.” Jamie adds as he takes the mug.
“Okay, something important. And you assumed we were mad at you for something?” Roy is still trying to figure out where this is coming from.
“I mean, you’re usually mad about something,” Jamie states. “Wouldn't be you if you weren’t.”
Keeley tries not to grin but fails. Roy grunts. “Fair enough.”
“But I’m not,” Keeley says.
“Usually are with me, and that’s fair. I’ve fucked up a lot since you’ve known me,” Jamie counters.
“That was before,” Keeley says without hesitation. “That was a very different you, babe. Nowadays, you’re more likely to apologize for something you had zero control over than for something you actually did. And that’s assuming you’d have anything to actually apologize for in the first place.”
“Which you don’t,” Roy reiterates. “You train your arse off and barely complain about it anymore. You look after your mates. Keep ‘em in line if needed. You spent yesterday holding court for a stadium full of people and who knows how many more on live tv, then entertaining an 8-year-old at an ice cream parlor. How could I be mad at you?”
“You’re Roy fuckin Kent. Ya can usually find something,” Jamie states.
“Well, I’m not. Got it?” Roy says. “I’m not mad. But I will be if you keep being a prick.”
“Roy,” Keeley glares at him.
“What? I don’t want to be mad about anything, not right now, at least. Not with what we were going to talk about. Anxious, of fucking course. Angry, no.”
“Why are you anxious if it isn’t a bad thing?” Jamie asks. Now clearly confused.
“Because what we are going to ask you is not something people would consider normal,” Keeley answers.
“Not bad, but not normal?” Jamie tries to sort it out.
“Exactly. It’s unconventional, but could be fun,” Keeley grins, moving back to start carding her fingers through his longer hair. Ever since he had grown it out her fingers had itched to touch it. Style it. Just feel Jamie melt under her touch again as her nails scrape his scalp. This time, he lets her. He holds himself back from going completely to mush under her touch, but he doesn't fight how comforting it is. Keeley and Roy see it as a win. She can help but smile at them.
“So? What is it?” Jamie has to ask, his tone and his body language now showing he is less guarded and much more comfortable.
Keeley and Roy exchange a look.
“You want to say it or…” Keeley initiates.
“Don’t look at me,” Roy huffs. “This was your idea.”
“And you agreed to it,” Keeley insists.
“Because you-”
“Seems a bit bad if you can’t even say it,” Jamie points out. “Gonna keep going roundabout all night? If so, might need to order takeaway at this rate.”
Roy glares at him, but the prick has a point. He takes a drink if his tea to stall for time.
“We want you to join us,” Keeley says.
“Join you where? I’m already here,” Jamie says, his mind is too distracted by the feel of her fingers along his scalp to look deeper at Keeley's statement.
Roy rolls his eyes. Sometimes he forgets how direct you have to be with Jamie. Subtlety and nuance are often lost on Jamie Tartt. He is a genius on the pitch. And he knows a lot of shit about topic Roy couldn’t even imagine knowing anything about. But sometimes, he misses the obvious points. And as frustrating as it might be at times, Roy still finds himself wanting to protect this one particular idiot more than any other and help him. Teach him. Fuck, Roy was absolutely lost on Jamie fucking Tartt. Unfortunately, he, too, had been anxious about this conversation all damn day and was on his last nerve.
“For fuck’s sake, Tartt,” Roy sighs.
“What did I do?” Jamie starts to get defensive, pulling away from Keeley to look better at Roy.
“Steady on,” Keeley levels Roy with a serious look. She puts a hand on Jamie’s chest. “We mean with us, like in our relationship, not just at our place physically.”
Jamie is pretty sure his brain has short circuited. He cannot have heard what he thinks he just did. He looks back and forth between the two of them. “You…you’re serious?” he asks.
“Yeah,” Keeley says, smiling at him. Roy nods, hesitant to say anything that might ruin anything. He’s screwed up his relationships too many times. He’ll leave this to Keeley.
“Me?” Jamie asks. “You want me…”
“Yes,” Keeley affirms.
“You both do?”
“Yes,” Keeley repeats. “We both do, right, Roy?” She looks at Roy, eyes pleading for him to at least act like he isn’t a total prick.
Roy grunts but adds. “Wouldn’t have brought it up if we didn’t.”
“Like a one-time thing or…" Jamie says. He still can’t believe it.
“Fuck off,” Roy grimaces.
Keeley shifts so she has both hands on Jamie’s chest. “No, Jamie. Not a one-time thing. Because I miss you, Jamie. I miss being with you. And Roy, he…” She looks at Roy.
“Fuck it,” Roy grumbles before sitting in the seat Keeley was practically out of. Pulls her on his lap before gripping the back of Jamie’s neck and pulling him into his side before slotting their lips together. Jamie is almost too stunned to react.
“Jesus, Roy, warn a girl first,” Keeley says. “And let the man agree to it before you inhale his face. He may not slap you with an assault charge, but-” She’s cut off when Jamie pulls her into a hug.
“I missed you,” Jamie admits.
“So, is that a yes?” Keeley asks, her tone filled with hope and only a little muffled by his shoulder.
“Of fucking course, that’s a yes,” Jamie laughs. “I might be a bit daft, but I’m not a complete numpty.”
“You’re not daft,” Keeley says. She leans back enough to put a hand on his face. “You’re brilliant.”
“You might not be a fucking rocket scientist, but she’s not wrong. Selling yourself short, Tartt. On the pitch, you’re a fucking genius. Off the pitch, you know the most insane shit I couldn’t even pretend to know.”
Jamie ducks his head to hide the blush dusting his cheeks.
"So adorable," Keeley coos.
"That is the nicest thing you have ever said to me," Jamie murmurs, glancing at Roy.
"Don't get used to it," Roy grumbles.
"Or do," Keeley kisses Jamie's still pink cheek. "He's lying. He knows you thrive on praise."
Roy grunts. "No one would believe you if you tell anyone."
Jamie actually laughs at that. And Roy would die before he admits it out loud, but he loves that sound.
"This is really happening, innit?” Jamie asks. “I didn’t smash my face during the match and am in so fucked up coma dream, or like some head trauma hallucination, right?”
“Well, then we’d be figments of your imagination, so how would we know?” Roy points out.
Keeley elbows Roy in the ribs, earning her a grunt. “You aren’t hallucinating or dreaming.”
Roy pinches Jamie’s side. Jamie yelps and pulls away. “Real enough?” Roy smirks.
“Not nice,” Keeley glares at Roy. She takes the opportunity to slip her hand under Jamie’s pullover and shirt to gently run her hand along the spot Roy had pinched. Jamie’s breath hitches, and he melts into her touch. She grins, “There’s my good boy.” Jamie groans.
“That really does the trick, doesn’t it?” Roy laughs. Jamie glares at him, but Roy just laughs harder. He’d seen Jamie’s glare make people flinch. But this one had no heat to it. It was a bluff. Clearly, he was enjoying himself too much to really be pissed. When the glare fails, Jamie pouts a bit. And Roy bites back a sigh.
“Fuck off with that pout,” Roy growls. He reaches over and pulls Jamie back to where he was before he pulled away. “This is a good thing, remember?” He reminds him as he tugs on the back of Jamie’s pullover until Keeley helps take it off of him. His shirt is quick to follow. Jamie nods. Keeley kisses him as her hands roam his chest and abs. She swallows his moan.
“Didn’t hear you, Tartt?” Roy teases as his own hands reach out and touch. Skin he’d been dying to touch for longer than he would ever admit to every time he saw Jamie in the locker room.
“Very,” Jamie breathlessly admits.
“Good,” Roy nods. “Because this is just the start of what we have planned for you.”
“Fuck yeah,” Jamie says. “Let’s go.” Keeley laughs as Roy pulls him in for a kiss.
“Fucking hot,” Keeley says as she watches them. “We gonna move this upstairs or what?”
Roy pulls back and gets a good look at both Jamie and Keeley. “Inna minute,” he says, and he grips the back of his own shirt. Keeley shifts over into Jamie’s lap so Roy can get his shirt off. Jamie happily accepts her and frees her from her own shirt.
“Fuck, I missed you,” Jamie says before moving his lips to the skin below her ear and along her jaw. He wasn’t exactly a selfish lover in the past, and he wasn’t a religious man, but he’d thank any deity listening for the chance to have her back in his life like this. Roy being there was just icing on the cake.
“Fucking gorgeous,” Roy admits.
"She really is," Jamie murmurs against her neck.
"I meant both of you, you fucking prick," Roy reaches up and cards his fingers through Jamie's hair. "Those pretty fucking lips of yours."
"Thought I was an ugly, ugly boy, with bad hair?" Jamie smirks.
"Fuck you," Roy growls as he pretty much attacks Jamie's lips with his own.
"That's why I said we should go upstairs," Keeley says from where she is sandwiched between the two very shirtless fucking fit men. "Although I'm not complainin'." She runs her nails along Roy's abs making him moan into Jamie's mouth. Jamie took advantage of it and deepened the kiss. But Keeley wasn't done being cheeky. She grins as she grinds down on Jamie's already tented clothed lap. A shock of pleasure runs down the striker's spine and he moans loudly. His arm snakes around her torso to hold her tighter. The other goes up to the back of Roy's neck. Fingers gripping tight like if he lets go it will all just vanish. Roy growls.
"Oh, that was a fun one," Keeley giggles.
"Upstairs." Roy growls. "Now."

If you told them you like tickling~
⚽️ Ted Lasso Part Two ⚽️
Rebecca Welton~
*Her face lights up when you tell her. She’s absolutely enthralled at how you could love tickling so much.
*After you explain, she gives you a hug with some side squeezes. She reassured you you’re not weird or strange. You’re in fact incredibly cute and endearing. One would even say absolutely adorable. Cue you blushing and her laughing at how you react.
*Her and Keeley will tease you together. Definitely while you’re in between them on the couch while giving you playful pokes.
*They don’t tease you like that in public though unless you’re comfortable with it.
*She gives you cheer up tickles 💖
*You’ve poked her a couple of times and even managed a side squeeze, but that’s all you could do before she completely flips the tables.
*Her nails are a devious weapon of mass destruction and definitely wiggles her fingers at you if you’re distracted.
*Her and Keeley are both very cuddly with their friends and she’ll give you gentle tickles if you’re sleepy or need to relax after a hard day.
*Her and Ted have had conversations about you and how they can make sure you’re never uncomfortable. They don’t intend to talk about you behind your back, but they’re just looking out for you and find your little interest, well… interesting!
*If you have a blog, she’d ask to see if only if you’re comfortable with showing her. If not she completely understands. If yes, she will go on about the cute designs and amount of followers you have.
*She managed to find some posts about wanting certain types of tickles. She now has that info in the back of her mind for later.
Jamie Tart~
*Man has had so much character development and I love him so much now. 💖
*My guy literally just goes, “Wait… you too?!”
*You two then bond over how you both love tickling. Of course that means lots of tickle fights.
*I can see him still being super shy about wanting to have tickle fights with you even though he knows you feel the same way. My poor touch starved boy.
“Do you wanna, ya know…” *pokes you in the side*
*Keeley totally spills his ticklish spots to you. He loves hates that-
*Keeley loves how phrases like “tickled pink” and stuff gets to the both of you.
*Jamie and you have teamed up to get her back before. Let’s just say she got you both back tenfold.
*Jamie and you made signals for ler and lee moods, but you both would get too nervous to use them. Eventually you both learned each others signs for both.
*You can read each other really well. Not just with tickle moods, with emotions in general.
*Both of you have lots of trust and understanding in each other. A big part of it stemmed from revealing your love of tickling.
Coach Beard~
*Somehow already knew-
*He just knows. Don’t question it.
*He definitely sees the reason for you liking it. Even admitting him and his wife have tried certain things when it comes to tickling.
*He actually thinks it’s weirder for someone not to like it.
*Sneak attacks Ted with pokes all the time and invites you to play along. That doesn’t mean he won’t do the same to you though. Especially in front of the team.
*He is incredibly good at reading people. He always knows when you’re in a lee or ler mood.
*Even knows when you’re in a switch mood! He’s that good-
*Him and Ted have had conversations in front of you on how to get better reactions and which spots are the most ticklish.
*If you thought you couldn’t get anymore flustered my gosh-
*Somehow his pokes and tases are more ticklish than anyone else’s.
*Is more blunt with teases, but it always feels really sincere.
*Asks you for tickle fanfiction. I feel like he’d genuinely enjoy reading some of it.
*You’ve tried tickling him before. It didn’t last long.
*You can get maybe a poke in if he’s distracted, but he’s very good at not being snuck up on.
*He’s also so quick to turn it onto you.
*There was a time where Ted spilled to you a tickle spot of Beard’s and even helped you get revenge.
Trent Crimm~
*A big sweetheart. And so so supportive.
*He’s also really curious.
*Asking questions as if he were about to another book about your love for it.
*Admits that he had a soft spot for it himself.
*Is actually really sensitive and it’s so adorable-
*He doesn’t retaliate all that much when you poke him or squeeze his side.
*He’s more of a lee than a ler.
*That doesn’t mean he won’t take the opportunity to scribble at your neck or squeeze your knee.
*He likes to give you head scratches and give you little sneaky ear and neck tickles.
*Comments on how easy you blush as if he doesn’t blush just as easily when you tease him.
*Always makes sure you’re okay with being full on tickled before he gets you.
*Surprisingly very skilled tickler.
*His fingers know just how to wiggle their way into your ribs.
*Speaking of which, he’s a sucker for counting your ribs out loud to you. And of course he “messes up” along the way and has to start over.
*Is more gentle with his tickles, which tickles a lot more in his opinion because of the anticipation of it all.
*Which also means he’s more susceptible to gentle and light tickles.
*They make him all scrunchy and tingly and it’s so cute. If you call him cute be ready for him to cover his face with one hand.

Jamie on his tippie toes to hug Rebecca! ;_; Or Phil on his tippie toes to hug Hannah, both options are adorable
She is an amazon; he is a short king. What else is he supposed to do but get up on his tip-toes? (I’d like to think Rebeccea finds it charming that he’s not at all self-conscious about it too? She’s used to having men being intimidated and even offended by her height, refusing to accept that they are shorter than a woman, but Jamie is just… totally unconcerned. He’ll get up on his tip-toes all the better to hug her, and he’ll be dead chuffed about it. Because you can’t tell me Jamie doesn’t love this development: the more cuddles he can get, the happier he is, and something about older women just comforts him, what with him being such a mummy’s boy… )
And apart from it being cute as all hell, I adore, adore, adore the implications of this: they have been spending time together since the West Ham game! They must have: Jamie and Rebecca have never been close before, and Rebecca doesn’t make a habit of hugging the players.
The only really plausible reason for that is Keeley. She’s been bringing them together, taking Roy and Jamie (after they have made suitable amends for being idiots about her picking one of them) to hang out with Rebecca and Matthijs, to the point where they’re all on hugging terms. (I realize that I’m repeating myself, but it’s driving me mad, so I probably won’t stop, ever. Sorry not sorry.)
In an episode filled with glorious moments, this has to be one of my favourites. Just, the potential of it all.

Jamie and Rebecca hugging felt so much like Phil and Hannah, Hannah especially. This older woman with her own kids that treats this kid/younger fella with almost mother love? If that makes sense? Because for Rebecca and Jamie, it comes out of nowhere. I don't remember them being on friendly terms, she also transferred Jamie to Manchester despite Ted asking her not to. Sure, Jamie is Keeley's ex and Rebecca discussed it with Keeley in like s1 or two (I don't remember), "Tell me you're not back together with this one" or something like that.
S3 though? Out of nowhere but very cute. I'm not complaining. Bring your inner Hannah to your Rebecca. And from very little interaction and how she talks about Phil it's also such a her thing to do?
And while I'm at it, that smiley Roy sitting knee to knee with Jamie is such a Brett thing to do.
Interestingly enough, Jamie feels more or less, if not mostly, like Jamie to me. Hugging Rebecca, talking with Roy. He's just like that. He's a friendly guy, a precious boy.
Juno is also seen in this, but she's probably the most in character, along with Rebecca (if we forget Jamie thing). Rebecca in that cardigan, carrying champagne, entering the scene with her Dutch guy. Yeah, very much in character.
Very curious how it wraps things for them.

hi love! can i request 3 or 16 with jamie and a male (or gn!) reader please? maybe following him to or from man city or just being the one to take care of jamie? thank you!
Yeah absoltuely! I hope you enjoy!
(I think I understood what you meant, lmk if you had something different in mind and I can write another.)
3.“I would follow you to the ends of the earth. I would follow you off of them."
You paced outside Nelson Road, waiting for someone to appear. Man City had been an emotional game to say the least. Watching Jamie play with such vigor, such passion, and made your heart swell with pride. Pride that had been quickly replaced with fear when Jamie fell and didn't get up.
He'd been able to get back up and score a solo goal but after that, he was sat out for the rest of the game. Now, you had to wait to see if he would remerge with the rest of the group, or if he'd already gone home.
See he didn't exactly know you'd come to the game. You were only out to a few people and hadn't really talked about a label for the realtionship quite yet. You'd met the team, and some of the coaches, but beyond that, it was still new. Usually, you'd just wait for him to come home but right now, you couldn't wait.
That's when Isaac and Dani came out of the door, laughing and chatting as they headed to their cars.
"Isaac!" You called out. "Is Jamie coming out?"
"Hey," Isaac replied. "Nah, bruv, he's still in there. Getting his foot looked at."
You nodded heading in that direction. Nelson road was a maze to you. Jamie insisted that it was straight forward but somehow, you always manged to get lost.
Eventually, you looked into a window and saw the poor boy, sitting on a table with his foot in a bucket of ice. The creaked the door open and knocked to gain his attention. He looked up, and when he saw you, he broke into a surprised smile.
"It's you!" He greeted, putting his phone away.
"It's me," you returned, giving him a hestitant smile.
"Well, what are you doing all the way over there, for, c'mere," Jamie insisted, holding out a hand for you.
You didn't need convincing. You moved over to him faster than you meant to and accepted his hug greedily.
"You were brilliant, Jamie, really," you murmured, resting your chin on his head.
"Did you follow me all the way to Manchester?" Jamie blurted, looking up at you.
"I'd follow you to the ends of the earth, I think," you shrugged, letting out a breathy laugh. "And probably would follow you off them as well."
Jamie flushed at the sweetness in your words. Then he winced, feeling a particularlly harsh cramp go through his leg. Right! His foot! You'd nearly forgotten!
"Oh, Jamie, how do you manage to always get yourself in these situations?" You sighed, kneeling down to look at his foot.
"I do it so I can see you all flustered like you are right now," he goaded, kicking his foot up a bit. You glared at him. "See, look how cute you look."
"Well, you definetly won't be on it for a few days," you instructured, moving it around delicately. "Gotta keep it raised for a while."
He saluted at you, looking very serious. "Whatever you say, doctor."
Then the door opened from behind you and two people walked in. One of them you recognized as Roy Kent, former player turned coach for Richmond, the other was a women you vaguely recognized but couldn't name.
"Oh, shit!" She swored, looking between the two of you. "Are we interupting something?"
"Not at all!" Jamie grinned, pulling you back up into his side. "This is (Y/N), my boyfriend."
Boyfriend. The label fell so easily off his tongue. You glanced down at Jamie, somewhat in shock, but he just held you tighter.
The women squealed in excitement as she rushed towards you. "Hi! I'm Keeley Jones! It's a pleasure to meet you."
"You drink?" The man next to her asked. You nodded. "Good. I'm Roy."
He shoved a bottle of champagne in your hand and went to pull up a chair. You stood there, still reeling from the situation, but one tug from Jamie had you sitting down by his side. As his boyfriend. In a room with two of his close friends. Yeah, this definetly felt right.

Let’s spend some time with Little Lasso!
Episode 8 - We'll Never Have Paris
Oooh this is a cool montage
Haha angry Rupert 🖕🏼
Yeah, that’s not a happy Ted 😕
How are neither Jake nor Michelle incredibly awkward over this?? I feel awkward just watching them!
It’s nice that Ted & Michelle can joke and pretend he’s not there ✌🏼😂
Uh oh, awkward. Again.
Okay, so the red & blue magnets are gonna mean something, right? Because we’re sure the matchbook does
Prince Henry 🫡 Nice one, Mae
(They are some sad English Breakfasts, I’m sorry)
He doesn’t need to know, nor care, what you are, Jake!
Big piece of cereal making a come back! Does Ted know there are 100s of other cereals available or…?
Ted, why would they bring Henry to you for the weekend if they were just going to fly back to America?? Come on, dude
Oh poor Ted 🥺
YYEEEAAAHHH!!!!
Of course Keeley thought she’d have to play 😂
Show off your ‘girlfriend’. Sure, Jan 🫠
‘Does he need another fake niece’ 😂 Keeley, please never change!
Nate, keeping tabs on Richmond 🥺
Okay, I’ll say it again and again but JADE & NATE ARE CUTE!!
Of course he shaved and showered 😂
Fiona Apple 😍
Oh poor Keeley 🥺🥺 Juno making me want to climb into the TV and give her a big hug
Will making a game out of getting Henry to do his work for him 😂 well done, king!
The guys at the window 😂
I like how none of them ask him why he’s asking where they’d propose. They just answer 😂
Also Beard’s answer made me audibly say ‘aww’ 🥹
ROY KENT ASKING IF HE WANTS TO TALK?! My baby’s come so far 🥰
Or maybe not 😂
Jeremy’s run 😂😂 oh that got me!
Welcome new pup, Trent 🫡
“I’m her ex-husband, not her current father. So, no” 😂
Roy wanting nothing to do with these meetings but always listening from his desk and getting involved anyway 😂 love to see it!
Beard is done with your bullshit, Ted. So is Higgins! The guy ran down and up stairs for you! HE’S GONNA HAVE LEG CRAMPS IN HIS SLEEP, TED! DO YOU NOT CARE?!
The pointing 👉🏻👈🏻 😂
‘You should find out before you flip out’ sound advice there from Higgybottom! 👍🏼
‘Woof’ PROTECT TRENT CRIM WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!!!!
Nate trying to have his own diamond dogs meeting 🫣 The poor boy really thought Rupert would show up 🫣
‘Love Hounds’ 🫠
‘Never let them know how you feel. It’s very expensive’ Disco, you’re fun 😂
‘Are we in trouble now’ poor Roger 😂 he must get ‘told off’ a lot 😂
BISCUITS!! BISCUITS!! This is not a drill 🚨 🚨🚨
Rebecca, channeling her inner Hannah 👀😂
The boys playing with Henry is too adorable! (I wish she’d gone to the window to see it, though)
Look at these two, talking like a married couple🫠
‘The Eiffel Tower is just a lamppost with a publicist’ 😂😂
Oh, he pulled out a ‘Rebecca’. That means he’s serious. And she knows it with how quick she agreed to help 🥹🥰
There’s a whole discussion to be has here over whether she really did call a PI like he asked, or she just said she would because she knew it’d calm him down enough that he wouldn’t continue to spiral so bad 🤔
That smile at the Oscar Wilde line was totally Hannah trying not to laugh 😂
His sad little high-five to the tree 🥺 (you can’t convince me Jason didn’t do that because he knew how much Hannah loved his ‘high-five tree!’ from season 1)
I want to believe Barbra wishes she could say more to Keeley but feels like she can’t. I think they’d have a great friendship if they allowed themselves.
Juno is absolutely breaking my heart with all this. Just give her the awards now 🥺🥰
Jamie’s Lynx collection 😂
The fucking Sun 🖕🏼
Colin with another ‘joke’. In reality he’d be called out and accused of being gay for how much he makes these jokes
Rebecca deleted Candy Crush from his phone, for sure 😂
‘Fuck yeah, 24601’ 😂 I love how varied these boys are! Of course they’re fans of Les Mis
All these guys questions are brilliant, but O’Brien’s got me 😂 that’s gross, mate!!
It’s absolutely wonderful how they all completely switch as soon as they find out Keeley was one of them 🥰 Like it didn’t seem like a real thing until they found out how close to home it hits (but Issac only wants them to protect themselves, even though we all know it wouldn’t even be a thing the other way around because they’re guys and Keeley is a girl 🫠)
Will, what kind of picture you got to get a reaction like that from Jamie?! 😂
(I know story wise it had to happen like this, but why did Issac follow Colin out of the room? As close friends he surely should have trusted that he’d do what he asked??)
Listen here 📢📢📢THAT IS NOT A MAN WHO IS ANGRY HIS FRIEND IS GAY. THAT IS A MAN WHO IS ANGRY HIS FRIEND DIDN’T FEEL LIKE HE COULD TELL HIM 📢 📢📢
Keeley, baby, why were you taking topless photos for your teacher at 15?? 🤔 Rebecca’s reaction is exactly right
This whole plot point for Keeley is coming directly from Keeley Hazell and the line about choice solidifies that for me.
If anyone could change society it’d be Rebecca Welton ✌🏼
Just the fact she has to ask if she should be ashamed or embarrassed is heartbreaking 🥺
Alright Nanna, put your glasses on 😂
‘Just think of how many young women you are going to teach how to masterbate properly’ 😂😂😂 Oh, Rebecca. We all need someone who praises us instead of making us feel like we should be ashamed 🥰
Queen Rebecca humping her parents furniture to the point it had to be reupholstered 😂 I’d expect nothing different! Then blaming a non-existent dog is just *chef’s kiss*
‘I’ve got you’ 🥹🥹🥹 this woman is so maternal it actually hurts my heart she does t have a child
Poor Richard 🫡 😂
It was going so well Roy! Why did you have to ask her that?? 🫣 I’m disappointed in you, grandad 😕
Jack is all over the place. Having already watched the episode I know what is coming up, which makes this scene very important. I like her less and less every time I see her now 🫤
Of course Barbra is a party animal! Now I need a girls night between Barbra, Keeley & Rebecca 👍🏼😂
A Marcus Rashford book 😍
Totally unrelated but TED’S FLAT HAS AN UPSTAIRS?! I’m so confused 😂😂
Another cute call back to the kid Henry was bullying with them now being friends and starting a band 👍🏼 And a lovely little nod to Jason with the drums. Well done
Ted delicately trying to ask Henry questions about Michelle & Jake only for him to be asleep. Happens every time! 😂
Aww, they text each other goodnight and good morning 🥰 ADORABLE!
(I wonder who else does that 👀)
Fair enough for cancelling it, but why do these people never communicate?! Drives me crazy
So Jack doesn’t really care about Keeley. Am I the only one getting those vibes??
Fuck yes, uncle Beard! Love to see his & Henry’s relationship.
Okay but why do I want to see Beard, Ted & Henry at a rave now 😂
It’s actually incredibly sweet that he wants to go watch football. That’s his dads life that he doesn’t really get to see properly for himself. Of course he wants to actually witness it 🥹 Henry, you’re a good egg
Angry Beard having to stop at home first because of course there’s no question that they’re not going to that match. I LOVE THIS LITTLE FAMILY 🥰🥰🥰
Beard being at a West Ham match is full Richmond gear. YOU, SIR, ARE AMAZING!
So is this showing that Henry probably spent a fair amount of time with Nate when he was there the first time?? Or is he just a sneaky little shit who wants to mess with him!! 😂
These two would be incredibly cute if I weren’t so suspicious of Jack 🫣
Yes, be all over her until someone you know is around. Then refer to her as your ‘friend’ 🖕🏼 RUN KEELEY!
(I also recognise this Alyssa girl and a quick search shows she was in Downton, so maybe it’s from that 😂)
That’s a little strange for Rupert to text that to Nate 🤔 Surely he wouldn’t actually care???
I love Mae’s commitment to hating West Ham 🫡
‘You think I wanted to fucking be there’ 😂 of course not, but you’d do anything for your nephew and we love you for it, sir 🫡😂
Sidebar: Rebecca’s kitchen is gorgeous. Just like it’s owner 🥵
At home, comfy Rebecca is delicious, too
Unconsciously correcting his mispronunciation is terribly wifey behaviour, Rebecca 👀 You two aren’t fooling anyone anymore
IT’S NOISY!! TISH CALLBACK 🤔
‘You think I’m nuts’ as she’s munching on nuts, I mean…
He likes The Beatles because Ted does 🥹🥹
Uncle Beard is amazing 🥰🥰
I challenge anyone to listen to this song and not ‘ na na na na Hey Jude’ along 😂
It’s important that Ted has this conversation with someone, but I think it’s incredibly important that it’s with Rebecca. Yea, it is my Tedbecca loving heart saying this but whatever
‘You need to stop letting yesterday get in the way of today, Ted’ just like I’ve learnt to do! Yes, we’ll done, Rebecca 😂
She told you she couldn’t do it so why are you still going on about the statement, Jack. Put your listening ears on, woman!!
I’m so proud of Keeley for sticking up for herself! She shouldn’t feel ashamed for it and it’s disgusting that another woman is telling her that she should! And she’s telling her to her face that she cares more about what people think than her ‘girlfriend’s feeling. Bitch, bye! 🖕🏼
You don’t need her Keeley! You need to spend some time alone for a change!!
Subtlety showing Nathan doesn’t care about winning anymore. Nicely done 👍🏼
He’s evolving, guys! I’m excited!! I need him to rip into Rupert before he leaves, though
‘I love your smile. I like to see my boyfriend happy’ THEY’RE SO BLOODY CUTE!!
Baby boy Jamie’s grown up so much. I’m so proud of him!!
Of course he thought password only had 1 ‘s’ 🤦🏻♀️😂 so wise yet so dumb
He didn’t need to hold onto the bag that long 😂 that was weird
No fist bump 😂 FUCK YOU, JAKE!
He’s got the army guys in his window 🥹
Well that was another wonderful episode! A great one for Juno, especially. Fingers crossed for more Rebecca & Keeley besties moving forward 🤞🏼
I think Keeley Hazell did a great job on this one. Seems like a lot of her personal experience, and being the blueprint for Miss Jones especially, worked really well here.

My Ted Lasso Re-watch: S1E10 (part 3)
The Hope That Kills You
Roy answers the door to Jamie when he comes over to see Keeley and he is wearing fried egg socks. Who wants to bet that Phoebe or his sister bought him those?
Does Jamie not always get when someone is being sarcastic? Because Roy is being clearly sarcastic about making scones, but Jamie misses it. Is there something further to it?
Keeley being the diplomat, pours the coffee Jamie got her into the mug of coffee Roy made her. You know, the more I watch this show the more I agree with them being a throuple.
Roy and Jamie are children. No further comment.
Roy is definitely out to get Jamie, and he will get him later. At the cost of fucking up his knee though. But Ted genuinely likes Jamie, he didn't want him to go back to Man City. But he takes the blame for it to protect Rebecca. Because let's face it, after all the shit Rebecca has had to deal with, with regards to the press, it would just be another shitty thing on top of other shitty things. Rupert fucked up her life and the press revel in it. If they found out it was her that sent Jamie back to Man City, they would have a fucking field day and drag her through the mud. But if it's Ted that did it, then they can just chalk it up to him being an idiot and not knowing how to do his job. Ted, by continuing to take the blame, is protecting Rebecca from further ridicule by the press. Because if that got out, the so do the rest of her revenge plans, and neither her or Ted want that.
Roy knows that Keeley values honesty, so he tell the truth, even if it makes him look evil.
Mushy peas are exactly what they sound like, and personally I think they are gross. But at least Roy can take an insult and turn it into a cute joke with Keeley.
If anyone is interested, the peanut butter Ted is eating is Tesco smooth peanut butter. The label has changed slightly since the episode was released, but not a lot.... I was curious, don't ask why.
Ted in a blue Kansas City shirt (this man's whole personality is just Kansas, isn't it?) but the gray sweatpants are back. Plus the messy hair... He looks so cosy and cuddly. Too bad I wouldn't be able to go near him... Damn you nut allergy.
Ted recognising that kids will not listen to stuff you say. The robot Henry drew is pretty cool, so worth it.
The commentators said the episode title.
Keeley only started caring about football because of Roy. They should have stayed together.
Rebecca showing how much she cares for the team by being decked out in Richmond gear.
Give Paul the damn hug. He is a sweetheart and deserves it.
Rupert can rot in hell.
The whole Higgins clan out for the match. And the fact the the priest of the family was born out of wedlock is a fun fact of the Higgins's.
Roy chose Isaac to be the new captain. Was that because of the chair smashing the TV? Because yeah, Isaac, given the chance can be a natural leader, but did the TV thing seal the deal?

Shut Up and Drive (Chapter 8)
Roy Kent x F1 Driver!Reader
3.5k words
Warnings: Language, unprotected sex, face sitting, fluff & feelings, Roy being a simp for his F1 Girlie ❤️
@agentstarkid ilysm, thanks for always reading my smut and telling me it's good 😝
Series Masterlist
From the moment he got back from Belgium, Roy had set to work getting his house ready. He’d painstakingly washed and cleaned everything, made sure he was stocked up on food and drinks, picked up some of the pretty-smelling shower stuff he remembered Keeley liking, even went and bought flowers for his dining room table. By the time he got your text letting him know your plane had landed, he felt that his home was ready to welcome you for the next few weeks.
He sat on his couch, staring at the turned off television, shitty knee bouncing anxiously. This was going to be great- right?
The two of you always had a good time when you were together. Lots of laughter and joking and flirting, not to mention sex. Even on the phone, Roy couldn’t help but smile at the sound of your voice. So spending all this time together was going to be great.
Unless you got bored of him. Or decided you didn’t like him as much as he liked you. Or you realized how much more appropriate it would be for you to date one of the young, handsome Greyhounds, rather than their grumpy old manager. Or-
I’m here!
The moment he saw your text, Roy was on his feet, practically running to the front door and throwing it open.
A perfect smile graced your face as you stepped out of your cab, offering Roy a little wave. “Hey there, Greyhound!”
Roy’s steps were quick as he walked down his sidewalk; you, on the other hand, broke into a sprint and launched yourself into his arms. He laughed into your hair and spun you around with ease, squeezing you tight. His heart felt light as he hugged you, breathing in your familiar smell and feeling your smile against his neck.
You gazed up at him with bright eyes once he set you down. “You gonna help me with my bags or what?”
With a chuckle, Roy walked with you to the cab, quickly grabbing your things and paying the driver, despite your insistence that you could pay for it yourself. With your suitcase in one hand and your duffel bag thrown over his shoulder, Roy took your hand and led you inside, wondering if you could hear the joyful hammering of his heart.
Fuck, you looked perfect inside his house, like you belonged there. He watched you look around curiously, taking in the photos and books and all the little things that made this house undeniably Roy’s. With a grin, you pointed at a framed drawing of two people on a football pitch, a dark-haired man and a blonde girl.
“Who’s the artist?” you asked in a light voice.
Roy wrapped his free arm around your waist. “My niece. Phoebe.”
“Cute,” you hummed, turning your gaze back to Roy. Your smile immediately softened. “So, this is Roy Kent’s house.”
“Yeah,” he breathed, smiling back at you. “And I’m really fucking glad you’re here.” He leaned down and kissed you deeply, his fingers digging into your waist. He pulled back with a content sigh. “Why don’t you go shower, and I’ll have dinner ready when you get out?”
You raised your eyebrows at him. “Roy Kent’s going to cook for me?” you teased.
“Only the best for the Empress.”
Keeping his hand on your waist, Roy steered you to his bedroom, where he set down your things on top of his perfectly made bed- the bed you knew you’d be spending a lot of time in. He pointed you towards the bathroom, suddenly edgy.
“There’s, er, towels and shit. Whatever you need.” Roy cleared his throat, gazing down at you with that familiar mix of affection and nerves. He brought his hand to your chin. “I’m really fucking glad you’re here,” he whispered.
“Me too,” you assured him, leaning forward to kiss his lips, lips you’d missed more than you’d realized. Instinctively, you gripped his waist, tugging him close so you could feel his warm chest against yours. Maybe you were tired from the flight, but you swore your knees went weak when you felt his tongue flick against your lips.
Before you could react, he pulled back, grinning goofily. “Better let you shower,” he murmured as his hand stroked your hair. “I’ll go get dinner going.” With one more quick peck to your lips, he was gone.
Humming giddily to yourself, you grabbed your things and headed into Roy’s bathroom. In the shower, you noted the surprising amount of fruity products; huh. You knew some guys kept those kinds of products for female guests. Some little part of you wondered when these bottles were last used, and by whom.
Stop it, you scolded yourself as the hot water dripped down your skin. No, you and Roy weren’t exclusive, but… you knew how he felt about you. He knew how you felt about him. He’d invited you to spend your break with him, for fuck’s sake. Surely things were heading in the exclusive direction… right?
Willing yourself to ignore that gnawing feeling in your gut, you finished your shower, scrubbing away your jealous pondering and the grime of travel. Refreshed, you threw on a comfy t-shirt and some sleep shorts, not caring how your still-wet hair dampened your shoulders. A delicious smell, a familiar one, led you to the kitchen, where Roy was standing over the stove, tea towel thrown over his shoudler.
His heart skipped a beat when he looked over at you. You looked so at home in his house already, smiling softly at him as you padded into his kitchen. He leaned down and pecked your lips, marveling at how he’d get to see you like this for a month, and already dreading how quickly these next few weeks would go. As you peered around him to get a look at the dinner he’d made, he willed himself to just enjoy each and every moment he got to spend with you.
“What’re we having?” you hummed, wrapping your arms around Roy’s waist, a deliciously domestic gesture.
He clearly liked it, based on the way he smiled at you. “Found a great risotto recipe,” he explained, gesturing to the pan on the stove.
Your mouth was practically watering. “That smells amazing,” you gushed, giving him a squeeze. “Funny, risotto’s one of my favorite foods, actually.”
“I know.”
“You know?” Your eyes widened as you gazed up at Roy with raised eyebrows.
A blush covered his face as he shrugged, eyes on his cooking. “Saw it in some fucking interview you did one time,” he mumbled. “They were asking you about when you visit Italy, you talked about some of your favorite foods, you mentioned risotto. So, I figured…” He wrinkled his nose. “It’s not fucking weird, is it?”
You buried your silly grin in his bicep. “Not weird at all,” you assured him. “It’s actually really sweet.”
“Good.” A kiss landed on the top of your head. “D’me a favor, there’s a bottle of wine in the dining room.” He nodded to the door on the side of the kitchen. “Grab it for me?”
Relieved to have something to do besides swoon over Roy’s thoughtfulness, you quickly disappeared into the dining room, noting that the table was already set for two, complete with flowers in a vase; something told you that Roy Kent didn’t usually keep flowers on his table like that. Shaking your head with giddiness, you grabbed the bottle and brought it back to the kitchen.
Roy took the bottle from you, quickly opening it and pouring it into two waiting glasses. “To the table,” he instructed before smacking a kiss to your cheek. “I’ll bring the food.”
With a hum, you did as you were told, stopping yourself from skipping to the dining room with your drinks in hand. Roy joined you, carrying dishes and setting them down carefully. He watched you, face tense, as you tucked into your dinner. When you let out a content moan, his shoulders relaxed, and he began eating his own food.
“You like it?” he asked, his voice thick with nervousness.
You nodded as you swallowed another bite. “It’s perfect,” you assured him. You laid a hand on his. “Absolutely perfect.”
And you were right. Dinner was perfect. Roy was perfect, if you were being honest with yourself. He listened attentively as you told him all about your travels over the last couple of days, made sure your wine glass stayed full, laughed at your jokes, made a few of his own. By the time he brought out the tiramisu he made- another food you’d mentioned in that interview- you were wondering how this month together could get any better.
But of course, Roy’s plans for the evening didn’t end with dinner.
The two of you lounged on his couch, just like the night you met, sipping wine and chattering quietly. Roy’s hand rested on your thigh, stroking your bare skin and watching you with a wistful smile, the kind that had your breath catching in your throat.
“What?” you asked, your voice quiet and breathy.
He shook his head and shrugged as he put his glass down. “Just… dinner was good? Dessert? The wine?” His brown eyes were earnest, begging you to say that you’d enjoyed everything.
“It was great,” you assured him, sitting up to bring your face to his. “Honestly, Roy. I don’t think anyone’s ever made me such a perfect meal.” You nudged his nose with yours. “Don’t think I’ve ever been this spoiled.”
Roy’s grip on your thigh tightened. “I like spoiling you,” he murmured, taking the wine glass out of your hand. “You deserve to be spoiled.”
The glint in his eye told you he was talking about more than just dinner.
Sure enough, he tilted your face to his, pressing a deep kiss to your lips. The hand on your thigh wandered up, dipping under the hem of your shorts, kneading your doughy flesh. A soft groan slipped past your lips and into his mouth as you brought your hands to his chest, grabbing greedily at the black t-shirt he wore.
As if he could feel your growing neediness, Roy stood, pulling you up with him. “Think you could let me spoil you a bit more?”
“If you insist,” you teased, letting him tug you along to the bedroom. He planted kisses on every inch of you he could reach as he stumbled backwards through the living room and down the hallway to his bedroom. You squealed as he pulled you onto the bed on top of him, wrapping his arms around you and slipping his hands under your shirt to roughly caress your back.
You spread your legs to straddle him, smiling against his mouth when you felt the bulge in his jeans rubbing against your already throbbing core. Always able to read your mind it seemed, Roy rolled you over onto your back and sat up, quickly taking care of his belt and shimmying out of his pants. Shooting you a wink, Roy pulled his shirt over his head, tossing it aside and revealing that gorgeous, furry chest of his. You reached up to run your hands over his stomach, biting your lip as your fingers brushed over his thick hair.
He leaned down over you, rolling his hips into yours, swallowing your soft moans in a heated kiss. “Fuck, I missed you,” he mumbled as he gripped your shirt. “Missed you so fucking much.”
“It’s only been a couple days, Kent,” you giggled as he peppered sloppy kisses down your jaw.
He shook his head, his beard scratching your sensitive skin. “Too fucking long,” he hummed as he toyed with the waistband of your sleep shorts. “You’ve got too many fucking clothes on.” Sucking gently on your neck, he tugged your shorts down, revealing the red lace panties you’d chosen carefully as you packed your bags the night before. The sound of Roy’s deep sigh as he teased the material had you confident that you’d made the right choice.
“Roy,” you breathed as he pulled your shirt up, revealing your bare breasts. His mouth immediately found one, his tongue swirling your nipple slowly, teasingly. You hardly recognized the mewling sound that came out of your mouth when he toyed with the hardening bud with his teeth; but, based on the way he bucked his hips, Roy definitely liked that sound.
After giving your breasts some attention, Roy rolled onto his back, pulling you with him. He raised his thick eyebrows as his hands roamed your thighs, fingers brushing against the lace of your panties.
“’ve got a request,” he growled, rolling his hips up against your core.
His hardness had you nodding desperately. “Anything,” you groaned, squeezing your eyes shut.
He grabbed your chin and pulled your face close to his, his eyes dark and shining with lust. “Want you to sit on my face,” he hissed before pressing a harsh kiss to your lips. “Need to fucking taste you, Empress.”
Immediately your thighs tightened around Roy. “Fuck,” you whined, heat rushing to every inch of your body.
“You like the sound of that?” he teased with a smug grin.
Not waiting for an answer, Roy roughly tugged at your panties, managing to get them down over your thighs. With firm hands, he practically dragged you up his body, not caring about the wet trail your already soaking pussy left on his thick chest hair, not stopping until you were hovering over his greedy mouth. His eyes focused on your core as he licked his lips.
“Is my empress ready to sit on her throne?” he growled, his hot breath sending shivers down your spine.
With that, he gripped your thighs, fingers digging into your skin, and pulled you against his mouth. Immediately, his moan vibrated through your body, prompting a high-pitched gasp from your mouth. His tongue slid through your slick slowly, taking his time exploring your folds. You grasped at the t-shirt you still wore, desperate to hang on to something.
Always attuned to your needs, Roy released your thighs and took your hands in his, intertwining your fingers. The gesture, so sweet and gentle, contrasted against the sinful sounds of Roy lapping up your arousal. He continued to moan and hum against your core, his beard scratching against the sensitive skin of your inner thighs.
“Shit, Roy,” you moaned, your throaty voice coming from somewhere deep inside you. “You’re- fuck.”
He dipped his tongue inside your cunt, fucking you slowly as you continued to writhe above him. His groans trembled through your body as he devoured you. When his nose nudged against your clit, you let out an almost animalistic sound.
Fucking hell, he thought as he tightened his hold on your hands. So fucking perfect.
You rocked your hips over his face, desperate to feel his tongue reach deeper, deeper inside you. “Roy,” you whimpered. “Gonna fucking come, Roy.”
“Cmmph,” was his muffled answer, a begging sound that was easy to translate.
With your eyes shut, you focused your whole attention on the feeling of Roy’s tongue expertly ravishing your pussy- on the sound and sensation of his deep groans- on the soaking, lewd noises that filled the room- on the bead of sweat running down your temple- on his thumb stroking the back of your hand lovingly-
“Roy,” you whined, your hips stuttering as he devoured your orgasm. Your vision went white as your pussy clenched around his tongue, soaking his face in your release. He gorged himself on your pleasure, wishing that your climax could last forever, that he could just spend the rest of his life making you come over and over.
As you came down from your high, you slowed your movements until you finally slumped over, heavy breaths escaping your lips. Tenderly, you lifted yourself off of Roy’s face, letting him help you onto your back. When he turned and hovered over you, your heart skipped a beat; his beard was positively soaked, your release dripping from his face.
“You taste so good,” he cooed, stroking your flushed face. “So fucking good for me.” He crashed his mouth into yours, smearing your wetness against your lips. He pulled at your shirt, only breaking the kiss so he could rip it over your head and toss it to the floor, immediately bringing his hand to your breast. “My beautiful empress.”
Your hands worked down his body, roaming over his chest, not halting until you reached his painfully tight boxers. Trembling with anticipation, you slid them down, revealing his already leaking cock. With a sigh into his mouth, you began stroking him leisurely, deliberately. For once, there was no rush. No flights to catch, no texts from teammates, no goodbyes the next morning. Instead, tonight the two of you could explore, and touch, and enjoy each other.
He groaned into the kiss and bucked into your hand. “Tell me what you want,” he whined against your lips. “Anything you want.”
“Fuck me, Roy,” you breathed, giving his cock a gentle squeeze. “Fuck me like you mean it.”
Roy was more than happy to oblige. He moved your hand away from his cock and gave your knuckles a soft kiss before lining himself up at your entrance. Keeping his eyes on yours, he inched into you, slowly, slower than he’d ever entered you before. His heart melted when he saw the way your eyes fluttered with each little thrust, the way the corner of your mouth twitched upwards as he gently filled you.
You’d had a quickie in the boot room with Roy Kent. You’d taught him how to have phone sex. You’d been dominated and used by him in Belgium. Sex with Roy was good, always good, no matter how you did it.
But tonight, you let Roy Kent make love to you.
He took your hands in his again, holding them over your head as he pressed his forehead to yours. His mouth hovered above yours, so close you could feel his hot breath on your lips as he gently rocked into you. Your walls clenched around him, throbbing and begging him to fuck you harder, deeper.
“You,” he huffed, kissing your face sloppily, “are so fucking beautiful.” With a soft grunt, he gave a harsher drive, hitting that perfect spot. “How’d I get so fucking lucky?”
All you could you was whimper his name and chase his mouth, trying to capture it in a kiss. Instead, he smiled, eyes trained on your face. He gave another severe thrust, eyes lighting up when he heard the quiet sob you let out. He continued his pace, slow, intentional grinds into you, cherishing every whine and moan and whimper that you gave him. His cock throbbed inside you, desperate to give you everything he had, desperate to once again make you his.
Roy squeezed your hands tight as his hips stuttered, letting you know he was close. “So glad you’re here,” he cooed. “So… so fucking happy.”
Your heart fluttered even more than your walls as you squirmed beneath him. “Me too,” you breathed. “So, so happy, Roy.” Your voice trembled with a mixture of emotion and pleasure.
“Think you got one more for me?” he grunted, giving a particularly rough thrust. “Think that gorgeous pussy can come for me?”
All you could do was moan and whimper as he rolled his hips harshly, determined to have you climax again. Between his cock filling you deliciously, his mouth sucking at your neck, and the pure joy of being in Roy Kent’s bed, it wasn’t long before you were clenching tightly around him and practically screaming his name; some little voice in your head was grateful to be in a house rather than a hotel room, where you would probably have irritated the people in the room next door. However, that little voice was drowned out by Roy’s panting, punctuated by a chorus of your name and fuck, chanted over and over.
With a strangled “Fucking hell”, Roy tensed, flooding you with his orgasm. His mouth was on yours, tongues crashing, moans intertwining as his cock emptied inside you. You gripped his hands tightly enough that you knew your nails would leave little crescent marks on the backs of his hands; the thought had your aching cunt clenching, greedily accepting every drop Roy pumped into you.
The room was filled with ragged breaths as you both came down from your highs, sweaty bodies sticking to each other- not that either of you wanted to move. Roy kissed your jaw, a soft, tender kiss, and slowly pulled out of you.
“Fuck,” he groaned, rolling onto his back, keeping hold of one of your hands. “And I get a whole month of that?”
You giggled and squeezed his hand, reveling in the soreness between your legs. “A whole month, Kent,” you confirmed. “Think you can handle it?”
