To me the lamb is all too aware. They are silly and cute and they are that purposely. It is easier to lead, to corral and misguide when you look soft and mailable yourself, offering to read a book together whilst hiding your name on the cover. They aren’t a friend but the followers would like them to be and that’s all they need. For others to want to stand, sing and swear to them. A trap without a snare and thus not reason to run.
Truly The Fox said it best: The lamb is a predator.
