February 10th 2024 - Blog 2
Roughly every week or so, I would like to share some behind the scene progress of my series One of the Powerful, as it has been going through some developments, which we shall be discussing starting with this blog.
Rigging
After hand drawing two, over 10 minute animatic episodes. While storyboarding Episode 3 (which will be heavily action focused) I began thinking about how I could save time drawing as I noticed each episode taking longer and longer to make due to me being a one-man animation team. One of these ideas was creating 2D puppet rigs, that could allow me to pose characters like an action figure. And since I learned how to use control points to rig hair strands in Clip Studio Paint, I thought I could settle with that. As yes, it saves time, however since the program is very limited when it comes to puppet animation, being more of an illustration and frame by frame 2D animation software, I felt like there could be a better way to do what I felt would be best for this series.
I proceeded to study a few cartoons that I noticed used 2D rigged puppet animation, and looked into the software that some of the shows were made in. One that really interested me was Toon Boom Harmony, I saw that some people were able to give the appearance that a character is 3D by using controls even though it was all 2D, like this. I knew I wanted to learn something like this for my series, being able to pose a character’s head in different angles with some adjustment here and there would save so much time!! However, Toon Boom is WAYYY out of my budget sadly, but then I saw that Blender Grease Pencil and its rigging tools could give me a very similar if not the exact same result:

I’ve used Blender in the past, however only for creating basic camera movements for some of my animations. I had made a donut a couple of years ago but that was just about my experience with the program, my knowledge with Blender is very much limited. However, I was dedicated to try and give this whole rigging idea a chance so I proceeded to watch some tutorials to learn not only 2D rigging, but also Blender’s Grease Pencil, due to it being able to draw with vectors. Over a month later, I thought I’d share my progress:
After learning how to rig an eye, mouth and eyebrow to understand the basics of rigging; I noticed just how time consuming and tedious the whole process is, there is a lot of steps and A LOT of trial and error as anything can go wrong, it can take multiple rigging attempts to get the result you are after. But once you finish a rig, it’s such a rewarding time saver in the long run!
Once I understood the basics of rigging, for the past few weeks I have been chipping away at a 2D rig head turn, following this tutorial series! Using Hoshi as a test, since I thought he would be the easiest out of the main cast to rig, and well… that was until I was drawing out and rigging his hair - I had to really think about how each strand was all layering on top of one another and it was extremely time consuming, however I have got it mostly working now!
Currently, all of Hoshi’s facial features are rigged, this past week or so I’ve been rigging his mouth using what I learned rigging the last one. And it’s decent -but like most of the rig, it needs more refinement, being all a bit unpolished. I have also been having a lot of trouble rigging his lips, as they don’t deform the same way as the mouth rig, causing me having to place the lips manually, every time I change the mouth pose - which is a pain, so I’ve been trying to get it working with little luck at the time of writing. I also need to add in proper controls for the rig to make it more easier to animate, which will be done once everything is rigged and working as it should.
Down below, are some expression tests I did with Hoshi's rig, keep in mind these are all still a work in progress as I mentioned the rig is quite unpolished, however I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!! ^^

Concepts
While working on the rig, I have been making some minor rewrites, like adding more depth to events and characters in the story of OotP - which at this point in time I cannot speak much on due to heavy spoilers. However, Season 1 may end quite differently than originally planned, the ending being more polished and more organically linking things up, instead of things just coincidently happening. This all leading into season 2 more smoothly! ;)
Tumblr media
Since I’ve been rigging, I’ve been thinking about character design a lot and thought since Episode 1 and 2 are likely going to be remade using 2D puppets for consistency sake. I’ve been wanting to slightly update some character designs, as I’ve barely changed the main casts' civilian designs since 2021 if memory serves me right, and there is somethings I want to change more with Cassidy and Hoshi’s designs - Erin’s design is fine for the time being, but I will change a few minor things like simplify their hair slightly for rigging, however their design changes will come up at a later date.
With Cassidy since she is based off a lion, I had her hair be in a braid to sorta resemble a lion tail.
Tumblr media
However, for her new civilian design I’m considering having her hair more curly and bushy to fit her more happy, chaotic, bubbly personality, and to have it now sort of look like a lion’s mane? Then when she goes into her Powerful State (where a Powerful, someone who has magic, transforms to use their full abilities) I will have her hair transform in a long braid like before! Imagining the transformation for that is super fun!! 😀
I am also considering changing her outfit a little to be more casual and to have it easier to rig? I think changing her colour scheme to fit more with her blonde hair and the whole lion resemblance would be cool, however I might leave that for her powerful state outfit? I’m still figuring out her outfit, but I like the bright colours of the middle illustration (down below) as it fits her loud, outgoing personality!!
Tumblr media
Also did you know that once a Powerful’s magic awakens (this can happen from when they are a child, like Erin’s case, or when they are a teen like Hoshi) it can sometimes alter their appearance when in their civilian form or "disguise", most commonly their hair. For an example, Cassidy used to have dark hair, however once her magic awakened, her hair changed to blonde. However everyone in this world, Powerless or not can be born with any hair colour, or people can choose to dye it. :D
Onto Hoshi, I have drawn some expression tests, being reference for the rig!
Tumblr media
While working on Cassidy’s redesign sketches I thought I’d tweak Hoshi’s outfit a little as well. Without spoiling much, Hoshi wants to become as unnoticeable as possible, like he doesn’t exist (at least in his civilian design). When I designed Hoshi a few years back, I didn’t really flesh out his past or motivations all that much. So now looking at his current design, the contrasting colours of red and green could symbolise his messed up mental and physical state, but I’m not sure how much it really fits him outside of that, and I think the colours also stand out a bit too much for what Hoshi wants. So I’ve been thinking of toning his outfit's colour palette down a bit. I still don’t know if I will get rid of his red jacket as that has stuck with him since the very start back in 2020:
Tumblr media
For rigging, you really want to avoid placing details on joints, and I knew that Hoshi’s knee ripped jeans would most likely make things quite complicated, so I am going to also play around with different designs for that in the near future!!
Down below are a couple of colour variations of a sketch from a potential updated Hoshi design:
Tumblr media
I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts on this!! I hope these blogs provide more insight on the progress of the series behind the episodes!!
Thank you all very much for reading! ^^

We’re on Fire (blow a kiss to the crowd) ~ TDC ~ Chapter 10
I’ll expect my notice of excommunication and I’ll expect it tear-stained
Tumblr media
CONTENT WARNING: GRAPHIC VIOLENCE, MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH, BLOOD
Chapter 10 ~ But All That's Dead and Gone
~ The Arena ~
~ Arsinoe ~
She can feel Bree and Joseph watching her as they settle into a cave for the night and doesn’t miss that Bree refuses to let her take first watch. Arsinoe had no intention of hurting the District 12 girl but she doesn’t bother to reassure her of the fact.
All three are awake when the anthem plays and the faces float across the sky. Arsinoe closes her eyes and lowers her chin when Polly appears in the montage but that’s all the emotion she makes sure the cameras see.
She went to sleep early that night, her back pressed up against the wall of the cave she was in. She wasn’t being stabbed in the back and dying in her sleep. Not when she’s fought so hard so far.
The morning sun rose brisk and the three of them collected their weapons. They had gone through their rations last night and all three were hungry. Bree had commandeered the bow and arrow and Joseph grabbed his sword. Arsinoe slung the axe across the back of her shoulders and checked that the seven knives she had stolen were still on her person, buried in pockets and on her belt. She had a feeling about today Either someone was dying today or the capitol had something in store. Never a boring day in the games she thought ruefully and found a band in their shared pack to tie the front of her now greasy hair back.
“We should go west,” Bree says and Arsinoe hmms slightly. The brunette turns to her with a glare. “You got something to say?” Arsinoe sighs.
“West is a fake concept in here. We should go to the Cornucopia, there’s no point in giving it a false direction, just keep walking,” Bree considers her but turns and walks away without saying anything. Joseph considers Arsinoe but Arsinoe just gestures for him to go in front of her.
“I’ve got your back, let’s just go before Bree is by herself,” Joseph nods and she falls in step behind him.
The arena is in a state of natural peace as they walk and Arsinoe wants to scream. How easily they hide their child murder behind soft moss and birdsong. She would give nearly anything to just be at home in District 10, watching one of their mother’s shitty old tapes with Kat while drinking Mirabella’s hot chocolates. She never thought she’d say it about that dreary farm in 10, or about District 10 in general, but she missed it. She missed the inconsequential labour of the farm and the days where her and Jules would grab some of the Milone horses and go racing out of the main town to a place where they could have a picnic and pretend that the world wasn’t going to hell.
She misses Mirabella and Kat and Jules. And Billy. Billy who is one of the kindest people she knows, who always sneaks his mother’s stew out to her because he knows she enjoys it. Billy, who she has loved for too long and should have told before she left.
A sharp wave of longing crashes over her and she has to brush tears away subtly. This was not the place. She could cry when she is home in her own bed.
The trees thin out and eventually the canopy clears and they stand at the edge of the field where the cornucopia rests. They stand to the left side of it but can see the opening. Arsinoe has a short-lived pang of relief and then panic strikes and she grabs Bree and Joseph’s shoulders and yanks them back and down into the bushes in the treeline.
“What the hell?” Joseph asks and she shushes him pointing to where the careers are seated in the mouth of the cornucopia. “Fuck,” he says and hangs his head.
“Fuck indeed my friend. Come on, if we can see them… well if they pay attention they’ll see us,” Arsinoe says and begins to creep back on her knees. Bree and Joseph follow until they know they can’t be seen. “We can retreat and try again another day but… we don’t have the rations to keep avoiding the fight for much longer.” Bree watches her, actually looks at the stern set of her jaw.
“You’re sure?” Bree asks. Arsinoe nods.
“You come from District 12. How long does it take to starve enough that you can’t fight?” Arsinoe prompts quietly. Bree looks slightly sick before her face evens out.
“Okay. Fine. But the only way we’re evening out the playing field is by surprise attack from behind,” Arsinoe nods and they stand.
Before they can take another step, Arsinoe is being grabbed and held tight by a strong arm, a knife pressed to her neck.
And then she watches as an arrow flies straight through Bree Westwood’s left eye.
A canon booms and Arsinoe knows she has only seconds to calculate.
Elizabeth Priest has Joseph pinned against a tree and from what she can tell, she’s being held in a death grip by Nicholas Martel, her axe ripped off her back and thrown somewhere. Michael Percy drops the bow to his side as Emilia Vatros rips the arrow back out of Bree’s head. Arsinoe wants to throw up at the sight.
“You know, for a person who scores a 12, you’re pretty easy to capture. I look forward to seeing how you get out of this one,” Emilia says, coming face to face with Arsinoe and examining her before turning away.
Arsinoe smiles slightly and begins to twist her wrists in a manner that looks like she’s trying to escape. Two of her seven knives are hidden in her sleeve and if she has anything to say about it, they’re about to be in Nicholas Martel. She finally feels them slip into her hands and flips them so that the blades face back.
Joseph sees them and understanding crosses his face briefly but that’s all Arsinoe sees as she hangs her head, feigning defeat. The knife pressed to her neck is sharp but she presses against it anyway, even when she feels blood from her chin drip down.
When she’s sure the knife at her neck is held in place, she brings her hands up and then sharply swings them down past her hips, where they make satisfying entry in both sides of Martel’s groin. He screams and she moves, letting her head go back up and away from his knife.
She pulls away and rips one of her knives from his groin, burying it in his heart and thrusting up, ripping his sternum.
Arsinoe has moved before the canon can even boom, drawing another two knives that find home in the skull and chest of Michael Percy. She ducks behind his body and quickly uses it as a shield from one of Emilia’s knives before jumping around the ring leader and grabbing Elizabeth before she can kill Joseph. She pulls the District 1 girl away and draws another knife, flipping it and stabbing upwards, straight through Elizabeth’s chin into her brain. Joseph is in such shock that he still hasn’t moved.
The canons boom and Emilia Vatros screams in irritation before rushing Arsinoe.
Arsinoe doesn’t have a second to draw another knife before Emilia is on top of her, her hands wrapped securely around Arsinoe’s throat and beginning to squeeze. Arsinoe chokes but her hands try to grasp another knife before she loses consciousness. Her head hurts and her vision begins to blur.
Her hand finds a knife. She fights for consciousness and tucks her elbow into the crook of Emilia’s outstretched arm to get a good angle for her next movement.
She stretches her arm and slashes as hard as she can. Her knife finds Emilia’s throat. The career’s arms loosened at the exact moment that her blood sprays straight into Arsinoe’s face, catching her eyes and mouth right before she closes both. All she feels is the taste of iron in her mouth and the hot, sticky liquid coating her hands, her face, neck and upper chest. It sticks in her hair and she just knows she’ll feel it under her nails for years to come.
Finally, Emilia Vatros falls on top of her, dead weight that Arsinoe knows she won’t be able to unfeel. She pushes the girl off and rolls onto her hands and knees, spitting and gasping for air. She looks at her hands and finally gives in to the urge to vomit.
But, still, she stands and looks around before a thought of dread floods her mind.
1 Tribute until I can go home.
It’s at exactly that moment that the sword is stabbed into her back.

in celebration of zhoumi’s starry night being released,
buckle in kids, here’s the crash course to super junior M (cue airhorns)
SJM (M standing for Mandarin) was formed in 2008, and was SM’s first group to directly target the Chinese(-speaking) market. Similar to the way other Korean artists had made debuts in Japan and released Japanese content, SM wanted to do the same but in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other Chinese-speaking markets. (yum capitalism)
If Super Junior’s original rotating/graduation concept was the predecessor to NCT, Super Junior M was the precursor to SM’s younger Chinese-facing groups, EXO-M and WayV. The key difference I’d point out is that SJM is perhaps the most intentionally multilingual in terms of their track releases; they always record a Korean version of their mini album title track, and Perfection also had a Japanese version. Meanwhile, EXO-M was separate from EXO-K at the beginning because they had two distinct groups of 6 promoting the same song in two different languages, while WayV only (so far) releases in Mandarin (barring the English version of Love Talk).
The original lineup consisted of Hangeng, Zhoumi, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, and Henry. After Hangeng left SJ/SM, they added in Eunhyuk and Sungmin to round the group out to 8 members.
There was a ton of controversy surrounding the addition of Zhoumi and Henry, because they were not part of the original 12-13 members (RIP kyuhyun for not being part of Twins/Knockout LMAO) that made up Super Junior. K-ELFs were worried that adding new members would take the spotlight away from current members and hurt the group as a whole. This “conflict” was handled very poorly, which lead to SM drawing a line between Super Junior and Super Junior M membership. Zhoumi and Henry were officially confirmed to be SJM-only members, and would never promote with SJ proper.
Video/track list for the uninitiated, and for those looking for a trip down memory lane (I’ve mostly picked live performances bc the MVs and lyric vids are fairly easy to find) below the cut!
SJM’s discography mostly falls into two easily distinguishable buckets: the SJ funky sound (think Sorry Sorry, Bonamana, Mr. Simple, Sexy Free & Single), and (Chinese) ballads.
I was also noticing while compiling their signature songs that SJM’s lyric content is generally heavily centered around love and relationships
Super Girl
youtube
You’re my super girl, I’m your super man
He can’t see your beauty, the magic hidden behind your ordinary appearance
I’d do anything for you
If he says he likes you, he would wait on you even if he’s busy
(TLDR SJM said dump your subpar man who doesn’t give you the time of day)
Their OG title track that made me fall in love with them go feral in 2008 - it’s a bop. This video also gives us leader/center Hangeng.
(this is also the song Donghae was singing during that one clip where suju pretends to forget how super clap goes)
If you watch the MV, you get SNSD’s Jessica making a cameo appearance in the house party scenes.
Perfection
youtube
It won’t do to be too rushed, love with shatter under (brute) force It won’t do to go too slow, so I’ll move at your speed
Just for you, I constantly give and I give Is it right for me to love you like this?
My heart keeps pounding, I want to see you My heart keeps pounding, I like you My heart keeps pounding, it’s all you My heart keeps pounding, I love you
Tell me you miss me Tell me you love me
I really have to thank Perfection for giving us the longest all-English rap in Super Junior history...even if the SM English is quite c r i n g e (it didn’t hit me till recently that Suju’s love for singing “boom” and “clap” started with Perfection)
something about this title track also makes me go feral (is it minor key? is it the ending verse/breakdown?)
Breakdown
youtube
My cold front breaks down for you All of my (facial) expressions reveal the way I worship you
Even if I’m covered in scars, I won’t mind if it’s for you
Maybe you think I’m too crazy (yeah you can call me crazy) In fact, I also agree with this (but I can’t stop loving you)
I specifically picked this performance because it’s the only one where they switched it up and sung the Korean verses with the Chinese chorus (VALID! because honestly...if you look up any of the Korean versions of their songs...they are very obviously subpar because the flow of the phonemes is clunky)
Swing
youtube
The general gist of the lyrics is a “cheer up, you can power through” message that’s fairly similar to Mr. Simple
The latest hit from SJM, all the way back from 2014, because SJM literally has not had a comeback since before Label SJ was an entity.
Even though it’s not my favorite track, Swing is important bc it was the first comeback they had a slew of Korean promos for (music shows, radio slots, variety show appearances), and they also placed first in China’s first ever music show broadcast.
Blue Tomorrow
youtube
By tomorrow, you will have left my side By tomorrow, I’ll be wishing on shooting stars alone Just like the ending of a movie
SJM also released a decent number of very on-brand love ballads. Blue Tomorrow is that lovely bittersweet breakup ballad you didn’t know you needed.
My Love for You
It doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter, baby I’d give you whatever you’d want Wipe away your tears, the sky would never be dark I’d be by your side everyday
An A+ sappy ballad, 10/10 would listen to again (i’ve run out of video embeds so i’ll leave it to you to find)

The Internet is a crowded place. I lately learn there are over 83,000 new weblog posts revealed each hour. Each hour!
So is it even potential to face out in a crowd anymore? Completely. It is in case you have a technique to publish and promote partaking content material.
Need to know what actually drives visitors? From brainstorming your material to scheduling your social media shares? Comply with these content material advertising ideas, and you’ll get observed. Huge time.
1. Begin By Asking Your Audience What They Want
There’s individuals out there who will inform you, “Just write 500 words a day about anything, and you’ll get traffic”. BS! Worst of all the content material advertising ideas on the market.
You might get some visitors, however at what value? A disjointed viewers who you’ll shortly lose in case you don’t work out what they actually need to study from you.
Let’s take a look at some methods you possibly can help clearly determine what your readers need.
Use Popup surveys:
That is the only method is to literally ask your readers what they need to study. I exploit a WordPress plugin referred to as Popup Surveys & Polls to ask questions like, “What are you struggling with in your business?” and “What do you want to learn more about?”.
Each visitor to my website will get surveyed with out me having to raise a finger.
Ask your e mail subscribers:
Use the email autoresponders that go out to your new subscribers to ask what they need extra of. Hey, they agreed to offer you one thing as sacred as their e mail tackle. Meaning they belief you.
Show them you trust their judgement, too, by asking your subscribers to reply with a few sentences explaining what would get them to maintain opening your emails. Information is power.
Analysis your competition
In the event you haven’t established an viewers but, research what’s working for different bloggers who are successfully reaching the viewers you’d wish to have. Google’s search results offers you a reasonably good concept of this.
Simply enter a key phrase phrase like “content marketing tips” to discover what is already rating on the primary web page for that material. Dig into some of these posts and you’ll start to see patterns.
2. Focus On Creating Evergreen Content
What’s evergreen content? It’s content that continues to realize search engine visitors long after it’s been revealed. That is a type of content advertising ideas I’m so glad I paid consideration to early on. For a extra detailed rationalization of evergreen content, take a look at this submit by Neil Patel.
To ensure the content material you publish is evergreen:
Does it stand the check of time?
Ask your self, “If someone reads this article 10 years from now, will it still be relevant? Or will they say, “Oh yeah, I remember when that was actually popular/true/in style/etc.”
Write content material that’s related all yr round.
For example, on my insurance website, I’ve obtained a submit referred to as 6 Secrets and techniques For Recruiting And Retaining Younger Brokers that gets visitors each single day of the yr. Distinction that with one other submit on my website referred to as Memorial Day Weekend Is The Most Harmful Weekend On The Roads. Are you able to guess which one is extra evergreen?
Think about removing publish dates from your posts.
There’s debate about whether this could even be filed beneath “Good Content Marketing Tips”. However I feel it’s value contemplating. Give it some thought. Ten years from now, when somebody finds your submit of their search engine outcomes, will they still click by way of if your publish date is previous and rancid?
three. Inform Stories & Be Your self
The artwork of storytelling seems to be popping up lots nowadays in numerous posts about content advertising ideas. And for good purpose. Individuals naturally need to connect with other individuals. So how are you going to do this with your personal on-line content?
Give actual life examples
For each primary idea you present to your viewers, give them an example. Inform a narrative. Convey up the time you have been goofing around and operating with the trash can from the road again to your home and tripped and fell inside. (My spouse still laughs her butt off retelling that one!)
Embrace the psychology of storytelling
Scientific studies and loads of other lists of content material advertising ideas have proven that we’re hardwired to recollect tales over details. Tales draw readers in. They help individuals make connections between what they already know and the new stuff you’re throwing at them.
Domesticate relationships
If this one appears misplaced in an inventory about content material advertising ideas, assume once more. Individuals need to develop a relationship with you, even when they’re just reading your phrases. Let your character present in what you write. For good instance of someone who writes in their very own voice, take a look at this blog submit creation guidelines from Sara Moss.
For example, my 4 years of school in Boston, after which marrying a Rhode Islander, tends to deliver the slang phrase “wicked [insert subject here]”. I don’t cover that in most of my blog posts. And the reason is that’s how I might speak if I have been having fun with a conversation with you in actual life.
4. Do (Sensible) Key phrase Analysis
Going the “publish and pray” technique isn’t the neatest of content material advertising ideas. It’s essential deliberately develop your content round keywords your ultimate viewers is looking. Luckily, there are tools out there to make key phrase analysis simpler than just guessing.
Google Keyword Planner
The Google Keyword Planner is an effective place to start out getting key phrase ideas. Just pop a couple of keywords or keyword phrases into the planner and…BOOM! Keyword ideas a a lot are ready for you. Just be mindful, these are the same keywords everybody else is seeing in the event that they used the identical search criteria.
To dig deeper for some keyword gems, copy and paste the web site tackle of considered one of your rivals into the “Your Landing Page” subject and then search. Right here’s what you may see in case you search the phrase “bakery shop”.
Buzz Sumo
When you’ve grabbed some key phrases from the Google Keyword Planner, bounce over to BuzzSumo and enter a couple of those keywords into their search subject. What you’ll get is an inventory of posts which are performing greatest for that key phrase phrase (ie: getting a ton of social media shares and web site visitors).
This can change the best way you get your content advertising ideas. Sift by means of the outcomes to get an excellent feel for the kinds of posts you may need to create. Here’s what popped up once I entered the phrase “content marketing tips”.
Google Advertisements
Seems like an unlikely place to do keyword analysis on your content material, doesn’t it? However just assume for a second. Whenever you Google one thing and see advertisements on the prime and sides of the web page, meaning you’ve searched for a keyword that marketers are paying good money for to target individuals identical to you.
Right here’s a few things to concentrate to:
Variety of advertisements on the page – The more you see, the extra in style the subject you just searched for. That’s good.
Advert copy – Refine your key phrase analysis by paying close attention to the language marketers are using to get individuals to click on on their advert.
Your personal Google Analytics results
Google used to point out you just about each key phrase visitors searched for to seek out your website. Gone are these days, my good friend. But they do nonetheless show you some keywords. Use your Google Analytics account to seek out the keyword phrases that slip via.
What you’re more likely to find are key phrases you’re not intentionally making an attempt to rank for. Use these to create new posts which might be unique variations of what you originally wrote on that matter. Look for a twist or a special approach.
In the event you’re seeing the key phrase phrase “content marketing tips” show up, attempt writing about “content marketing tips for small businesses”. The chances are infinite.
5. Create Engaging Titles
You possibly can write the shiniest, sexiest submit about constructing an effective buyer referral program. But when you’re title is “meh”, you possibly can overlook individuals truly studying it.
Writing engaging titles is crucial for content advertising success. It’s what will get readers to click on in your content material and then share it. Pay shut consideration to those next few content advertising ideas.
Lure them in.
Does your title pull the reader in? Does it beg for an answer or rationalization? An awesome example of an attractive weblog title (and an excellent submit on the subject itself) is: Easy methods to Write Killer Titles That Can Sell a Fur Coat to a Wookie. I still reference again to this submit right now when writing my titles.
Maintain it brief.
The cutoff point for what search engine outcomes display is round 60 characters. So maintain your titles brief and to the point.
Hold it relevant.
Nothing hurts your bounce price greater than utilizing a deceptive title. In the event you trick visitors into considering they’re about to get one thing they’re not, your submit gained’t present up close to the top of search outcomes for long.
Embrace your keyword phrase.
Absolutely embrace your keyword or keyword phrase in your title. For extra punch, put it at the start of your title
Make it an inventory.
By far the preferred blog posts on the internet are record posts, or “listicles”. These appear to stand the check of time more than some other sort of weblog publish. For those who take nothing else away from these content material advertising ideas, write an inventory publish.
And when applicable, use odd numbers in your listing. There’s plenty of studies that present readers are likely to view odd numbers as more reasonable.
6. Make Your Content Easier To Learn
This subsequent set of content material advertising ideas is crucial for maintaining visitors on your page longer. Longer “dwell time” is sweet in your Google rankings.
Based on CoSchedule, lower than half of your blog readers truly learn past 100 words. For probably the most half, this has to do with readability. So how do you repair this?
Write like Hemingway.
Ernest Hemingway was the grasp of writing brief sentences. You ought to be, too. ‘Nuff stated.
Hold your paragraphs brief.
I’m a former high school English instructor. It nonetheless makes me twitch once I see articles that drone on and on with no breaks. Maintain your paragraphs to no more than 3 or 4 sentences. It’s simply simpler on the eyes.
Guide your readers with headings.
Not solely do headings assist with web optimization (once you use h1 and h2 tags). Additionally they help readers who’re in a hurry scan your publish for the main points. Headings assist them shortly determine whether or not it’s what they have been on the lookout for or not. In case you information them along, they’ll stick around longer to dig deeper.
Use photographs, video and bullet points.
Utilizing rich media and bullet points additionally assist break up your content into more usable chunks. Not to mention, content with photographs and video get shared more ceaselessly than content material without.
7. Optimize Your search engine optimization
Search engine marketing (search engine optimization) is the stuff baked into your content material that gets it found when individuals put keywords into sites like Google. Loads of bloggers promoting content material advertising ideas say optimizing your search engine optimization is the primary approach to get long term visitors to your web site.
The simplest option to be sure to’re optimizing every publish is to make use of a WordPress plugin like Yoast web optimization. Here’s how it works.
Focus keyword
Start by getting into your keyword or key phrase phrase it into the Focus Key phrase section. Yoast will then guide you thru optimizing your submit round this key phrase.
search engine optimization title

The artwork of storytelling seems to be popping up lots nowadays in numerous posts about content advertising ideas. And for good purpose. Individuals naturally need to connect with other individuals. So how are you going to do this with your personal on-line content?

For each primary idea you present to your viewers, give them an example. Inform a narrative. Convey up the time you have been goofing around and operating with the trash can from the road again to your home and tripped and fell inside. (My spouse still laughs her butt off retelling that one!)
Embrace the psychology of storytelling
Scientific studies and loads of other lists of content material advertising ideas have proven that we’re hardwired to recollect tales over details. Tales draw readers in. They help individuals make connections between what they already know and the new stuff you’re throwing at them.

Right here’s a few things to concentrate to:
Variety of advertisements on the page – The more you see, the extra in style the subject you just searched for. That’s good.

Ten years from now, when somebody finds your submit of their search engine outcomes, will they still click by way of if your publish date is previous and rancid?
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Focus keyword
Start by getting into your keyword or key phrase phrase it into the Focus Key phrase section. Yoast will then guide you thru optimizing your submit round this key phrase.
search engine optimization title
Your search engine marketing title is what exhibits up in Google’s search results. It needs to look good if you’d like readers to click on. Yoast warns you when your title will get too lengthy or doesn’t include your keyword phrase.
Meta description
Your Meta Description exhibits up in Google’s search results right under your search engine optimisation Title. Should you don’t fill out this part, Google will pull in roughly the primary 160 characters of your blog publish.
So, in the event you’re following these content material advertising tips to the “T”, it’s to your advantage to make use of the Meta Description to make sure your key phrase phrase exhibits up in search results. It’s your commercial to lure searchers to learn your content material.
Page Evaluation
This part incorporates more advanced indicators of whether your submit is on monitor or not for being nicely optimized. Yoast makes it simple by shade coding every item purple, yellow or green. Principally, all you need to do is repair each merchandise until all (or most) are green.
Those I give attention to probably the most are: inner links, photographs, key phrase usage and readability score.
8. Make It Straightforward To Share
Should you’ve adopted these content advertising ideas and finished your job proper, your posts will begin seeing some visitors. It might solely trickle in at first. So ensure that your content is straightforward to share.
Use social sharing buttons
Each web site value their salt has eye-catching social sharing buttons to permit visitors to share your content material with one or two clicks. I exploit SumoMe on my websites. It’s extremely versatile and there are free versions of all their plugins.
Tumblr media
The SumoMe Share plugin lets you:
select your most popular social buttons (even which buttons present up on desktop vs. cellular).
choose the place(s) on your page to show the buttons.
determine whether or not or to not display the variety of shares (per social community and complete for all networks).
handle which pages/posts on your website to show the share buttons.
Click on To Tweet
If you want to entice your readers to share your content material on Twitter, there’s no better WordPress plugin than Click To Tweet by TodayMade. Give it a shot by clicking the textual content under.
Make your pictures straightforward to share
The same folks that developed the Share plugin I mentioned above have additionally created a depraved easy strategy to make any picture in your website shareable. And it’s cleverly named Image Sharer.
Once installed, just choose which social sites you need to show when guests hover over photographs. That’s it!
Give it a shot by hovering on the image under and sharing it in your favourite social website. Notice how the whole title “10 Content Marketing Tips To Drive More Traffic” is about because the default share textual content. Fairly cool, huh?
Tumblr media
Embed alt textual content in your pictures
Probably the most missed content material advertising ideas is using alt textual content in your pictures. Because serps can’t read what’s in your photographs, it is advisable to inform them what your picture represents. That’s where alt text is available in.
Whether you’re utilizing WordPress or another editor, you’ll be capable of enter alt textual content to describe your image. Ensure that to make use of your key phrase phrase the place relevant to offer your publish a bit of increase. For instance, I’ve included the phrase “content marketing tips” into several of my alt text tag for this publish.
Embrace your Twitter deal with in sharing plugins
Encouraging readers to share your content material on Twitter is a superb begin. Simply don’t overlook to attribute your arduous work to yourself.
A lot of the sharing plugins talked about here can help you embed your twitter deal with within the tweet that’s generated once they share it. Simply examine the settings for every of those plugins and you’ll discover something like this:
Tumblr media
9. Enlist An Army Of Promoters To Unfold The Word
As with something in life, if you wish to spread the word, you want individuals’s help. With regards to advertising your content material, nothing is more necessary than creating a core group of influential associates to carry your message far and extensive.
Use the “buddy system”
As you share content, you’ll naturally develop a smaller core group of “buddies” who like what you’re throwing down. Most of my peeps are within the insurance coverage business, and most I’ve never met in individual. But we’ve turn into so intertwined, it’s like we’re all in class collectively.
If I’m writing a publish like this on content material advertising ideas, I simply ship my buddies a fast e mail to let them know I feel it’s proper up their ally. 9 occasions out of 10, they share it, without me asking them instantly. When you make somebody really feel particular by giving them one thing unconditionally, you’ll by no means need to ask for a favor.
Give first to get what you need
Be a giver. Not a taker. This works notably properly on Twitter and LinkedIn. Retweet. Retweet. Retweet.
On LinkedIn, develop relationships with different contributors by commenting on their posts and sharing them together with your community. Don’t overlook to tag them! And in case you hold the dialog happening their publish, they’ll discover you and certain return the favor the subsequent time you publish something.
Harness the facility of Twitter lists
Make an inventory in Twitter of people that persistently favorite or retweet your tweets. If they’re displaying you’re keen on, then placing them in an inventory will make it simpler so that you can:
frequently retweet their content, to keep the love practice shifting.
know who to tag in your future tweets which might be relevant to them.
10. Use Social Media Scheduling Instruments
The final and most powerful of those content material advertising ideas is to keep your content editorial calendar full. These instruments make it straightforward to constantly share your content material to drive extra visitors to your web site:
CoSchedule
In a current submit, I went into detail about why CoSchedule is my go-to content material advertising calendar. In a nutshell, it’s a drag-and-drop advertising calendar with straightforward social media scheduling.
Probably the most powerful function about CoSchedule is the power to simply re-schedule previous blog content. Plus, it integrates tightly with WordPress, allowing you to schedule social media shares earlier than you even publish your weblog.
I grew my Twitter following by 17% in the first week of using CoSchedule just by rescheduling previous content material.
Tumblr media
On a aspect observe, CoSchedule also places out a whole lot of great content material advertising recommendations on their blog. You may need to verify them out.
HootSuite
Earlier than discovering CoSchedule, Hootsuite was my principal content advertising calendar. What I exploit it for now’s scheduling posts to LinkedIn Groups.
I can make the same publish to 30+ Groups in one go utilizing HootSuite. Their API nonetheless permits this, whereas CoSchedule’s doesn’t. It saves me hours of time every week. And my posts to LinkedIn Groups get clicks and shares for weeks after being revealed via HootSuite.
Buffer
The first two social media scheduling tools I discussed are nice for sharing your personal content material. However I exploit Buffer solely to schedule shares of different individuals’s posts (You down with OPP? Yeah, you realize me!)
I spend about 10 – 15 minutes each morning reading by means of my Twitter and LinkedIn feed. Anything that’s value sharing gets “buffered” using their Chrome plugin or my iPhone’s “Share Via” button.
Tumblr media
What are your favorite content material advertising ideas?
I hope these content advertising ideas have impressed you to make some constructive modifications in your general content material advertising technique. By implementing just some of these, you need to see a big improve in visitors to your website.
Above all, write about one thing that interests you. You’re potential to persuade individuals you care about your subject is crucial to them clicking and reading your posts. In the event you’re not enthusiastic about what your writing, none of those content material advertising ideas matter.
I do love to hear from you. So let me know which content advertising ideas are driving probably the most visitors to your website in the feedback under.

The experience economy will not fully recover – consumers will pay to perform in future instead
Insta-tastic. Sharon McCutcheon
No listing of seminal enterprise books could be full with out The Expertise Economic system, the 1999 bestseller by American lecturers B Joseph Pine II and James H Gilmore. They argued that the promoting of experiences was the fourth nice stage in our client growth after commodities, items and providers.
They defined their concept with the next instance:
As a vestige of the agrarian financial system, moms made birthday desserts from scratch, mixing farm commodities (flour, sugar, butter, and eggs) that collectively value mere dimes. Because the goods-based industrial financial system superior, mothers paid a greenback or two to Betty Crocker for pre-mixed substances.
Later, when the service financial system took maintain, busy dad and mom ordered desserts from the bakery or grocery retailer, which, at US$10 or US$15, value ten occasions as a lot because the packaged substances. Now, within the time-starved 1990s, dad and mom neither make the birthday cake nor even throw the social gathering. As an alternative, they spend US$100 or extra to ‘outsource’ the whole occasion to Chuck E. Cheese’s.
In recent times, everybody from excessive road outlets to vacationer trails to luxurious spas has bought shoppers experiences – stirring our feelings for the best worth attainable. However this mannequin has been as badly hit as any sector by the pandemic. Fittingly, the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant chain is one high-profile casualty, blaming the pandemic for getting into Chapter 11 chapter over the summer season.
It will be straightforward to suppose that demand for experiences will merely return subsequent yr or the yr after, however I’m not satisfied. As an alternative, one thing barely totally different could also be rising.
Are you skilled?
Previous to 2020, the expertise financial system gave the impression to be booming. Within the US, gross sales of spectator occasions, amusement parks, eating places and travelling grew a lot sooner through the 2010s than these of products, whereas the UK was equally profitable on this respect. Folks spent generously to make recollections – witness the latest development for attending festivals primarily based round favorite TV exhibits akin to Associates.
Millennials appeared to significantly prioritise memorable experiences over shopping for issues, documenting all of it through social media. However then, in fact, got here COVID-19. A July report from PwC discovered that lodging and meals had been the worst hit service sectors within the UK, adopted by arts, leisure and recreation.
Memorable experiences are about triggering sensations. Folks keep in mind feeling excited by an adrenaline rush, akin to driving a rollercoaster. For instance, analysis on theme parks means that to achieve success, they have to heighten the joys that guests count on.
Get essentially the most coast. Jacob Lund
Equally, experiences depend on being shared with others. Sharing an exercise intensifies the expertise. Those that participate in cosplay, for instance,, the place contributors placed on costumes and act out character components, improve their pastime by swapping recommendation and giving mutual assist.
Clearly, pursuing and sharing such encounters has been troublesome beneath COVID-19 restrictions. This has hit the likes of tourism, hospitality, occasions, increased training, theatres and live shows.
The restrictions will presumably carry sooner or later, however a deeper underlying problem for the expertise financial system is definitely not associated to the pandemic – though COVID-19 might speed up the transformation.
To briefly revisit Chuck E. Cheese, its troubles predate COVID-19. Commentators advised that while the model appealed to kids, it was not thrilling sufficient for folks. But the whole fast-dining sector has been struggling since 2016, when a number of chains such because the UK’s Ed’s Simple Diner entered administration.
Hey dad and mom, what’s to not like? Lester Balajadia
Bodily retail has additionally been in long-term decline. Procuring malls and excessive streets are areas for staging experiences. The most effective ones placed on a present, deliver individuals collectively, excite and entertain. But individuals are seemingly much less and fewer . Shuttered manufacturers and empty shops have gotten commonplace.
Have a look at me
A extra elementary change within the financial system could also be underway. As an alternative of experiences, worth for in the present day’s shoppers more and more comes from having an viewers: they like to draw consideration.
My analysis on vacationers has discovered that some individuals go on vacation to be checked out. They’ll spend important quantities on journey that helps them acquire consideration. Sporting over-the-top outfits, for instance, they need native individuals to note them. Moderately than attempt to mix in, in quest of an genuine expertise, I discovered vacationers doing their greatest to face out.
It could be time so as to add a brand new layer to Pine and Gilmore’s development of financial growth, wherein worth is added by facilitating performances. Folks at the moment are prepared to pay for items, providers and experiences that assist their gaining of consideration.
This follows 20 years of actuality tv, social media, information analytics and microcelebrity. Dwelling beneath fixed commentary is the brand new regular. Turning into an internet influencer is the brand new aspirational. On-line likes appear to be addictive and behavior altering.
It’s subsequently unsurprising that we are going to hunt down issues which assist our on-line performances. Quick-growing sectors present alternatives for shoppers to boost their look, akin to tattoo parlours or health. In the meantime, the outlet for all of those performances, social media, grows quickly.
Simply as commodities, items and providers had been considerably pushed apart by the rise of experiences, so too experiences at the moment are being displaced by performances. It doesn’t imply the top of the expertise financial system; extra a rebalancing in the direction of supporting the performances that customers more and more prioritise.
‘I’m nothing with out an viewers.’ Mor Shani, CC BY-SA
Etsy could also be an instance. This digital market has simply made it into the S&P 500 inventory index. Etsy provides a spot to not simply buy crafts, but additionally to arrange store oneself. Craft, which demonstrates each talent and self-expression, could be a efficiency. Etsy can assist shoppers to craft and show who these individuals are as a lot as their macramé bracelets.
Pine and Gilmore famous that the transition from promoting providers to promoting experiences could be troublesome for established firms to undertake and climate. The transition from promoting experiences to supporting performances will probably be troublesome too, significantly because of COVID-19. However companies that discover a option to capitalise on this 21st-century shift would possibly emerge extra strongly than their rivals.
Brendan Canavan doesn’t work for, seek the advice of, personal shares in or obtain funding from any firm or organisation that will profit from this text, and has disclosed no related affiliations past their tutorial appointment.

Interview with the Author
What initially got you interested in writing?
I’ve always had concepts and stories rumbling around in my gray matter. I finally decided to put some of them down on paper.
What genres do you write in?
At present, I am writing mainly science fiction thrillers. I’ve also written some non-fiction books.
What drew you to writing these specific genres?
My love of science fiction. I grew up watching sci-fi movies on TV on Saturday afternoons as well as visiting the library to read books by the great science fiction authors such as Ray Bradbury, Arthur C. Clarke, and even Jules Verne.
How did you break into the field?
About 10 years ago I wrote a non-fiction book about healing. This led to writing some academic material and a study guide for Anatomy and Physiology. About 3 years ago I began writing fiction. My first novel, The X-Cure, was published in 2015 and led to my second novel, Alan 2.
What do you want readers to take away from reading your works?
I would like them to be able to escape and take an exciting journey through an alternate reality.
What do you find most rewarding about writing?
I like living with the story and characters in my mind while writing it. I find the process of writing a story very enjoyable.
What do you find most challenging about writing?
I would say, after the story has been written and edited and edited again, having to continue to read it after various formatting to look for errors. I find this rather draining and want to move on to another project, but I know it needs to be done.
What advice would you give to people wanting to enter the field?
Besides not quitting your day job, I would say to learn as much about marketing as you possibly can.
What type of books do you enjoy reading?
I enjoy a variety of books. Lately, it’s been science fiction, but more along the lines of cyberthrillers or technothrillers versus space travel and alternate universes.
Is there anything else besides writing you think people would find interesting about you?
Sure, I think it would be my background. I’ve had some interesting careers including teaching college anatomy and physiology, running my own chiropractic practice, working in electronics, international ice skating coach, and performer with a touring ice show.
What are the best ways to connect with you, or find out more about your work?
  That would be my website:
  https://www.drbruceforciea.com
    EXCERPT:
Bang! Bang! Bang! The flimsy apartment door rattled on its frame with every blow.
“Kaitlin, don’t even think of answering that!” Alan growled through his teeth.
Kaitlin shrugged her shoulders and moved away from the door toward the living room where Alan sat at a table full of electronics gear.
“Dr. Boyd, are you home?” shouted the voice on the other side of the door in an Indian accent. “I want to talk to you. I have a very good offer. Please, Dr. Boyd, it will only take a minute, and I think you will be quite pleased with what we have for you.”
“Go away; leave us alone,” Alan shouted. “I don’t want your offer.”
“But Dr. Boyd, we do pay very well. We are great admirers of your work.”
“I don’t care and I don’t want your money,” said Alan. “Now go away before I call the police.”
“Think about it, Dr. Boyd; I will be in touch.”
“Incessant bastards,” said Alan as his attention turned back to his work. “I’ll cherish the day they leave us alone. Kaitlin, come over here and help me with this injection.”
Alan rolled up the sleeve of his t-shirt while Kaitlin picked up the syringe containing the gadolinium contrast. She pinched an ample section of skin and plunged the syringe into his arm. The needle stung like an angry wasp, causing Alan to grimace.
“Can’t you be gentle? You’ve done enough of these by now to get the hang of it. You shouldn’t jam it in like that!”
Kaitlin rolled her eyes and shook her head. “I think I do pretty well considering I don’t have any medical training,” she said while jerking the syringe out of his arm.
“Okay, okay. Just take your position at the console.”
She sighed, plopped onto a small task chair and rolled over to a makeshift wooden table holding a desktop PC and a large high-definition monitor. She had been through this process countless times before.
Alan entered a large metallic structure in the center of the living room. The box-like structure, made of aluminum, dominated the rectangular room which was devoid of furniture. Its dull silver hue contrasted the blank walls. He closed the door and climbed into a chair that looked like it came from an early Gemini spacecraft. The stiff plastic chair, sandwiched between two large metal discs, afforded a good deal of postural support but little comfort. He sat down and slowly slid his head between the thick metal and plastic arms of a large U-shaped device. There was just enough clearance as he wriggled his head to achieve the perfect position. He pulled down on a large metallic tube suspended above him so that it surrounded his entire head. He positioned the tube so that the rectangular slit lined up with his visual axis, allowing for a line of sight to the monitor located outside of the tube. The small fMRI scanner had taken a good deal of time and money to cobble together, but it was the only way to capture the needed information from his brain.
Alan viewed Kaitlin through a small round Plexiglas window in the door and signaled with a thumbs-up to begin the scan. She waved and entered the start sequence into the keyboard, sat back, slid an unlit cigarette between her lips and picked up a copy of People Magazine. He pushed his head back against the headrest and adjusted the monitor suspended on a boom so he could see the screen. The machine first hummed as it powered up and then made periodic knocking sounds.
Alan focused his attention on the monitor while the scanner began its first sequence. The monitor displayed a series of images designed to evoke emotions. Each image popped onto the screen and persisted for ten seconds before another replaced it. There was a small child holding hands with his father, a mother holding a baby, a couple admiring their child in a crib, and many more. All the images had been chosen to trigger emotional responses, causing changes in blood flow to certain areas of Alan’s brain. An image would appear for a few seconds and then the machine would complete a scan. The process repeated until all one hundred twenty-seven images had been displayed. The entire cycle then repeated two more times with random sequences of the same set of images.
This would be the final scan involving diffusion tensor imaging of Alan’s frontal lobes. Previous scans had involved the study of responses to a variety of topics. In addition to emotions such as sadness, joy, anxiety, and fear, there were cognitive studies that examined Alan’s problem solving techniques as well as his reaction to global events. In all, there were over one hundred fifty scans taken over the past two years.

i’m new to suju ( i started stanning them last year) so i don’t know much about them. what’s sjm?
buckle in kids, here’s the crash course to super junior M ( 📢 cue airhorns 📢 )
(but seriously thank you for entertaining my desire to literally never shut up about the group of talented idiots that have been part of my life for 12? years)
Tumblr media
K-ELFs/OT13s were worried that adding new members would take the spotlight away from current members and hurt the group as a whole. This “conflict” was handled very poorly, which lead to SM drawing a line between Super Junior and Super Junior M membership. Zhoumi and Henry were officially confirmed to be SJM-only members, and would never promote with SJ proper.
I’ve always been OT15 - just because members came later doesn’t mean that the team doesn’t love them any less.
They’re all adults and capable of making lineup decisions themselves, so I honestly don’t know why “fans” get so worked up about individual members and whether they should or shouldn’t be in the group and etc. The ELF fandom can honestly be a shit show in that respect. Cue substitute-leader!Eunhyuk angrily scolding ELFs (and urging present supportive ELFs to record this ment and share online) during SS6 for their disrespectful behavior towards Henry and Zhoumi during their solo stages.
like literally in 2020 all I am asking for is to let Zhoumi come out of the basement and make music with his family g o d
Video/track list for the uninitiated, and for those looking for a trip down memory lane (I’ve mostly picked live performances bc the MVs and lyric vids are fairly easy to find):
SJM’s discography mostly falls into two easily distinguishable buckets: the SJ funky sound (think Sorry Sorry, Bonamana, Mr. Simple, Sexy Free & Single), and (Chinese) ballads.
Super Girl
undefined
(this is also the same song Donghae was singing during that one clip where suju pretends to forget how super clap goes)
If you watch the MV, you get SNSD’s Jessica making a cameo appearance in the house party scenes.
Perfection
undefined
Breakdown
undefined
Swing
undefined
Blue Tomorrow
undefined
🙏 But yeah! I’m gonna continue holding out for an SJM comeback in 2020. 🙏
